I would certainly call this one a hidden gem, though it may not have the popularity of other anime, this show surely carries its weight when it comes to quality animation, story, and a great work ethic for the MC. 🎨💫
I’m trying not to spoil the show, so I will try to say as much as possible without saying too much. Like I mentioned above I don’t think anyone was expecting to like this anime so much, and it's simply because the show is about using healing magic which is known not to have any combat use. However, the writers of this anime took on a different outlook on healing magic. The animation is great, the story flows well, and more importantly, the character progression is at a decent pace. The relationship that Usato and the Captain build I believe will be one to remember, I think their relationship is almost like a brother-sister/rivalry/sensei all while trying to get better and stronger. Although Usato isn’t the hero, he just is. 💪👨🚀
Even after only one season, I feel like this anime is a solid 7-7.5 verified check mark, with a possibility of an 8 rating in the future, depending on the story. 📺✨
All I can say is that I tried. I know I tried to watch this anime I would say around a year ago and I just could not get into it. I stuck with my 3–4-episode rule and felt that this story was about to get very repetitive (as far as the dying and coming back to life aspect of the show).
Although I feel like this anime isn’t for me, I keep hearing great things about it, people claim that Re:Zero is the best isekai ever, I don’t get it. 🤔🔄
I must give it another try, if the people are claiming that this anime is the best isekai ever, meaning it is better than my favorite isekai (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, PUT SOME RESPECT ON RIMURU’S NAME!) I must be the judge. I did the same thing when people claimed that One Piece is better than Naruto, I determined after 155 episodes there is no way that is true.
So come with me on this Re:Zero journey and I will give my honest opinion, after every 2-4 episodes. 📺👀
