Anyone else really annoyed by the subs for anime these days? Like they're all polished and grammatically correct ig, but like. It's really annoying when what the characters are saying doesn't match the subs.

I've been watching anime for over a decade now, so obv I've picked stuff up, but now I feel like doing that's way harder and more annoying cause the subs are all edited. And frankly when what your hearing and what your reading doesn't match, it's really annoying and borderline confusing sometimes.

When tf did proofing subs become the norm??? And its a newer thing too and not me nitpicking cause I suddenly became fluent in Japanese either, cause I went back to late 2000s anime and I don't have that problem there.

I'm happy the Funimation site/app has subtitles for the English dub, compared to places like Netflix and crunchyroll, but they sometimes get cut off and it's so weird.

Genuine question. Have you people ever actually seen hazbin or helluva or do you just fucking bitch about it because it's the trend to do. Like. Helluva has kinda shit first few episodes that are way over the top with sex jokes, but it gets better when it gets to the actual story and they cool it. I bet no on complaining has seen it
