Oh man oh man oh man. Do we love this or what? (Please note: There is only one correct answer.)

“I am afraid of nothing but myself” is such a powerfully Illyanish quote. I’m seeing my confidence that despite the different timeline, we’ll be seeing an Illyana true to the one we love repaid.

Very interesting that Illyana is hitch-hiking--since her stepping disks take her through the place she is fleeing from, is she saving them for emergencies only?

And she manages to put in a decent scrap against Strange! Love seeing them interact, but love it more when it’s remembered that Illyana already went through years of do-or-die sorcery training.

I feel like Andrade is taking his style in a bit of a Walta-esque direction? It looks good. I’ve mentioned before that his style isn’t generally my thing, but I don’t think I’m being too biased because of the subject matter when I say that it really works well here. And the storytelling and framing is top-notch.

(Previews are so long these days. No complaints now, but it’s such a big chunk of the issue already.)
