Hello! Lately I've been having a lot of local bees&bumblebees (south Italy) visit my flowers - which delights me to no end. I love watching them do their thing, but sometimes when there's 3-4 of them, they will fly around until they loudly bump into eachother, making a static-y loud noise, then dance around and chase eachother a bit before going back to separate flowers. Are they buddies? Are they fighting for the best flowers? Communicating info? What is the nature of this interaction? Thanks!!
I’m afraid I can’t really say without seeing them and which species are doing what. Certainly some bees will get territorial over nice flowers and fight for the right to scoop up that sweet delicious nectar and pollen.

Hi!! I'm sorry if this is out of nowhere. I just wanted to tell you, some years ago I saved a few of your playlists on spotify (and promptly forgot about them). Earlier this year I found them again, and they've quickly become my favourite fanmixes & some of my all around favourite playlists ever. Had to track you down to save some more playlists and also to thank you: you made my year, introduced me to folk punk, made me cry rivers. Thank you thank you! You have superb taste! Have a great day :D
Hi ! ! ! Asks out of nowhere are completely fine ! And this is just ! ! ! So nice and good ? ? ? It made me really really really happy to hear . Undertale playlists on 8tracks in 2015 - 2017 were something I really loved , a big way I enjoyed Undertale fan content , and introduced me to so much music that I love now and basically developed my music taste . I'm just so glad that the playlists that I made could be some of someone else's favourites , and that they could feel some of the emotions that I felt while making them . And making your whole year ? That's an incredible compliment and thing to say ! ! ! Thank you ! ! ! ! It's not a problem and thank you ! ! ! ! I'm so happy and touched that someone found my playlists and liked them that much and that they had such an impact . Thank you sincerely for sending this ask to let me know . I should really find someway to put all my playlists up online in an easy to listen format . . . I'll work on it . And seriously ! Thank you ! ! !

Hello!! Lately I've been gardening - I'm noticing that often, when I pot my plants, from the next day onward I will sometimes find... tiny teeny snail shells on the ground?? I am 95% sure they weren't already in the ground. They appear at ground level & are tiny(half a centimeter). I thought they might be baby garden snails but they're semi-transparent and look empty inside? Do you have any clue on how they could have gotten there? I love my snail friends and hope they dont eat all my lettuce :D
I’ve definitely found tiny snail shells in the dirt lots of times. They’re dead snails either way, but I couldn’t say for sure where they came from in your case. Do you mean in a garden in the dirt or like near pots on a patio? They could be newly dead snails, or they could’ve been in the ground a long time. If you’re adding topsoil or potting soil, sometimes they can be found in the bagged soil. Depending on where the dirt came from, they’re not even necessarily land snail shells, they could be aquatic. Even if I saw a photo though I’m not sure I’d be able to ID them. It’s difficult when they’re so tiny and don’t have any distinguishing features yet!
