Helping to unpack during the holidays
flickr
Helping to unpack during the holidays by Kathie McMillan Via Flickr: Husband and wife team Alan Wright and Anne Anderson collaborated on many commissions, but perhaps their most successful was a series of animal books . The "Nursery Zoo" appears to be an anthology of those books. Many believe Alan drew the animals while Anne drew the children (and the dolls!). More on their history can be found in Anne's set description. "The Nursery Zoo, story and antics of four animal friends" contains "Podgy-Puppy," "Cuddly-Kitty," "Busy-Bunny," and "Naughty-Neddy." Thomas Nelson & Sons, New York.

"Remind me why we are here again?"
"You never stop complaining do you?"
She turned her head to face me. Despite her question there was no anger to be seen.
"We are here to have some fun." Fun? Oddly vague for a date. Only made worse by the fact that we are currently walking in the middle of nowhere.
"That doesn't explain anything." "Does it?"
Now she is being vague on purpose. But for all the reasons to run, I somehow find reasons to stay. I mean, what is the worst thing that can happen?
