About your desires in Geats talk... your main goal (e.g. DGP wish) is only a fragment of someone's character, not having a main goal for others doesn't mean that they're selfish, because they can display their care in other ways other than main goal, like helping anyone indiscriminately or not resorting into underhanded means if you can help it. And being caring and kind would mean the very opposite of selfish? Unless you mean selfish as anything that enriches you, not "doesn't care about anyone but yourself".

Michinaga shouldn't be considered as doing nothing wrong due to Ace's view of him though (just someone's view), he has good intentions but, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. He's not right until, he leaves his extremist ways entirely to achieve his goal. Actions matter more than thoughts.

Yeah but the thing is that the wish one should be putting into the DGP is one’s heart’s desire, or a way to get it. Neon wishing for genuine love bc she’s lonely and abused, Ace wishing for all sorts of things bc they won’t just let him SEE HIS MOM, HE JUST WANTS TO SEE HER AND ASK WHO AND WHAT HE IS, Michinaga destroying Riders because it’s the only way he can think of to end the DGP. Keiwa is the exception, but like he said world peace and reviving the lost were to hide his true wish, to make his sister happy and reunite his family. This should inherently be selfish because it is about YOUR desires. It would be false if it was not about yourself.

A heart’s desire is also ironically a guiding light towards how you find your way to helping others. Michinaga’s turn towards heroism is just finally having the power and hope needed to take down the organization that ruined his life, for instance. And it’s not just Ace. Over and over, character after character. If you give your all, fighting for your heart’s desire, you have the potential to reach it. Michinaga is not exempt just because his desire is “bad”.

Michinaga is not innocent, either. He has done horrible things to get his wish. But you know what? That’s what he would say too. That is the POINT. As long as the DGP exists Riders will be forced to clamber over each other, to hurt others to take their ideal world, using a system that hurts even more.

It does not absolve him or responsibility because he happily accepted the consequences of his actions. He is a monster who does not deserve happiness. So be it.

Is he in the right? Well, it’s complicated. But is his DESIRE true, and is he fighting for it with all he has? Also yes. And in the world of Geats, that is enough.

hello, please can you clear something up for me. I just read your new Steve fic and I was wondering how come eddie was there when you'd already said Dustin lost him. Also was max not in a coma?

it's honestly just my mistake, lol. i completely forgot i had said he lost eddie.

i also have two kids (one of which is still crawling into bed with us in the middle of the night), i babysit and i'm a wife, so sometimes i'm not gonna remember everything i write down. i'm so somewhat sleep deprived because of all that, lol.

i also barely proofread my own stuff, so that's probably why that mistake is in there, lol.

as far as max, she is in her coma. everything is pretty much canon (aside from eddie in this fic, apparently, lol).

thanks for pointing out this mistake!! even though i more than likely won't fix it 'cause i'm too focused on other things right now, lol

i love that you assumed this, but actually, one direction was just slightly after my time. both my younger siblings were major fans, though, and i listened to them a little bit in college and liked their music.

I actually can't remember any time in life where I read y/n fics. probably read at least a couple at some point when I was younger?? but i think the closest i got to that was reading a lot of sirius black x female oc fics when i was a preteen (and still in my comp het stage)
