Stiles typed out the list and hit send before sliding his phone back into his jacket pocket. The barista called his name and he scooped the large tray of coffees from the counter with a slight wave and a fiver in the tip jar. Shelly always made sure to add the extra whipped cream on his caramel macchiato frost and that was not to be forgotten.

The Boston air was crisp this morning as he stumbled out of the little coffee shop and towards Roscoe who was parked on the narrow street. While school was in Cambridge, the best coffee was across the river and everyone in his Computational biology department knew it.

Which was why Stiles was always the errand boy.

He put the departments coffees in the little box on the floor of the passenger seat strapping it in so that they would be safe for his long (not so long), arduous (re: three stop lights and a bridge), journey back to MIT.

A ding came from his phone, Stiles groaning loudly as he gripped the steering wheel and shook it in frustration.

"I swear, if it's Lydia changing her order for the seventh time, I'm throwing her Herbal tea into the harbor."

Ha. Boston Harbor. Tea. Stiles was hilarious.

He took another deep breath and opened his phone to see a small notification.

DH: Did you finish your paper on multidisciplinary approach to estimating wolf population size for long-term conservation?

"Huh. Specific..." Stiles had finished that paper a few weeks ago, but had barely made the deadline. He had been about to text Danny that the new AI prototype he had installed on Stiles' phone was whack when he saw the notification came from Instagram, not from M.A.T.T.

Another ping came through.

DH: And why would you need the percentage of Australian Deserts? That seems like a boring thing to spend your free time on.

Stiles' mouth hung open, eyes wide as he realized what was happening. Someone was replying to his DMs on Derek Hale's Instagram. He held his phone out like it was a bomb between thumb and forefinger; an almost whine escaped his mouth.

It had started when he was in High School almost 10 years ago now. One night he had been on an Adderall-Mountain Dew-Jelly Doughnut-Pizza high and decided that the best way to keep all his random thoughts in one place was to use the app that distracted him DAILY as a note system. He had even made a burner account so that he could keep all his random thoughts together.

Only problem was, his little distracted monkey brain had accidently clicked on Derek Hale's DMs rather than his fake account. It was five weeks in when Stiles noticed and at that point it was too late. It wasn't like Derek was going to answer him anyways, he had said on NUMEROUS occasions that social media was not his favorite thing and he only had the account to promote his new movies (which Stiles watched religiously. I Was a Teenaged Mothman was probably the worst and best movie franchise to ever hit the theaters and Derek Hale as Mothman was his every wet dream.)

So, he just continued to use it. Grocery lists, reminders, random thoughts at night, future movie ideas, school assignment ideas, complaints about his stupid roommate back in freshman year - he wrote it all.

And now someone was responding to TEN YEARS of DMs.

Stiles didn't know what he should do. Should he ask if this was actually Derek? No, wait that was stupid. Derek wouldn't actually be handling his social media. He had people. Peoples? Multiple people who could answer this for him.

"Some. of. us. have. hobbies. that. no. one. understands. And. I. need. it. to. win. a. bet." Stiles spoke each words as he typed it, sending the message out before typing another one. "And. yes. I. got. an. A. minus. because. Harris. hates. wolves."

Stiles tossed his phone onto the passenger seat and started driving to campus, mind still reeling that someone would be responding directly to random DMs that made no sense. If Stiles was asking questions about when the next IWATM movie, sure that would be a conversation the PR team might engage in. Not this.

Lydia owes you $40 for Venmo

Stiles decided to ignore it and his phone remained silent the rest of the day.

It had been a week since the strange response to his DM came through, so Stiles assumed it was a fluke. He had tried a new note handling app that Danny had recommended, but a day later he had already started throwing things back into Derek's DMs. Hey, cut him some slack, it was a 10 year habit.

His phone pinged and Stiles' mouth almost fell open again. Another response.

DH: What are you getting tickets for?

This time, Stiles was quick to respond.

SS: I'm going to try and get tickets to the Bruins game tomorrow. Gotta love hockey, am I right?

There was silence on the other side of the screen, Stiles letting out a frustrated sigh. Whoever Derek Hale's Social Media manager was, they picked the weirdest things to respond to.

DH: So not Mothman in Love premier?

Ah. Now he knew what this was. They were trying to see if fans were biting at the newest spin off. Smart marketing.

SS: I already have my tickets for that. Opening night, middle row, got the collector Popcorn bucket on hold too. I know a guy.

The three dots at the bottom of the screen indicated that the person was typing, Stiles wondering if they were going to ask for a quote or a picture for the page from the opening night.

DH: You have appalling taste in movies.

Stiles' mouth dropped open again, his mind running at a million miles a minute and then crashing into a brick wall with the word appalling painted over it.

SS: Excuse me, the Mothman movies are absolute hot trash and I eat them up like greasy diner food. Do not talk about my comfort trash like that.

SS: but they are pretty bad, so I mean. You're not wrong.

And done, there was NO way the Social Media manager would ever EVER respond to a fan who said something like that. He could go back to his note taking life and luckily Derek Hale would never know.

DH: Then why do you watch them?

SS: Because you're a fantastic and sexy actor and if I could I'd lick chocolate off your abs.

His phone pinged.

DH: You're not bad yourself.

HUH.

Stiles was speechless, his eyes reading over the sentence over and over and over again. He opened his Instagram and quickly flipped through the pictures he had. Most were of him with the Lab boys, Lydia was in a lot of them, some of him on vacation in Peru, some with his Dad. Nothing that would ever, EVER scream you're not bad yourself.

SS: wow, maybe you do need those glasses checked? Unless scrawny Computational Biology Doctoral candidates really crank your wheel.

DH: Computational Biology PHD? Big change from the FBI you were originally thinking about.

Stiles sucked his teeth. That was the problem with this dynamic. Stiles had written everything and anything about himself in these DMs and it could be anyone reading it.

SS: Cyber security would have been my downfall if I did FBI clearly, since you know everything and I know nothing about you. I don't even know if you're Actually Derek Sampson Hale.

There was a blip of the three dots and then nothing. Right, Well that was fun while it lasted. Stiles had been about to turn on his Playstation and forget everything when the ping came through.

Instead of a text, there was a picture. Low v-neck, black rimmed glasses, slightly messy hair, beard that looked like it needed to be trimmed, holding a sign that read your turn @StilesisMe.

Derek. Fucking. Hale.

"Oh my god, oh my god..." Stiles scratched the back of his head furriously, throwing the phone on his bed and just circling it like a vulture circling its next meal. "Derek Hale sent you a picture, Derek Hale is reading your shit."

He stopped walking for a moment. "You just told Derek Hale you'd lick chocolate off his abs."

Stiles threw himself on the bed, slamming his head over the pillow at least a dozen times. Finally he grabbed his phone and sent a quick message.

SS: I don't send photos on Insta. Add me on snap if you want. @S.S.Stilinski69420

He waited.

God he waited.

And then the little Ghost of a notification from Snapchat appeared saying Haleofaguy added you as a friend. Stiles felt his fingers freeze as he hovered over the accept. Why, why was Derek Hale the movie star talking to him? Was he bored? Was he lonely?

Stiles remembered an interview once where Derek said he liked talking with people and learning new things, so maybe it was that? Maybe Stiles was just an interesting guy that Derek wanted to know.

No matter what it was, Stiles' insatiable curiosity got the better of him and he needed to know just how far this rabbit hole would go.

He took a minute to find a filter he liked and snapped a pretty unflattering picture of himself with the caption this is what your in for, buckle up Mothboy

Nothing happened, and then snapchat told him Derek Hale saved the picture to their chat and sent one back. It was the most unflattering angle Stiles had ever seen of the actor and he couldn't help but laugh.

what is the characteristic of Arya and Jaqen pairing ?

I would love to say that Arya's and Jaqen's relationship is all about equality but the truth is Jaqen will always bend to her will.

It is established at the beginning of their story, in Harrenhal. As you probably remember, Jaqen offers Arya the lives of three men she chooses. He wants to express his gratitude for Arya's compassion and courage which drove her to saving his life. It seems a fitting gift from the assassin.

But later, when Arya comes to Braavos, she learns from the Kindly Man that it is forbidden to use the skills of the faceless men for personal purpose. The priest overhears Arya's prayer/kill list and tells her that she can't learn from them when all she wants is to use this knowledge to kill the men she hates. He says they hear many such prayers in the House of Black and White but they don't grant them. Arya then recalls Jaqen in Harrenhal:

"Jaqen H'ghar had granted three of her prayers once. All I had to do was whisper..." ACOK, GRRM

We learn that Jaqen has offered Arya all the power that he, himself, and the faceless men possess to do as she pleases. And Arya is beginning to realize that she has some sort of power over him.

Overall, Jaqen treats Arya as his equal and a lady at the same time. He understands her need for revenge, he never minds her carrying a sword and training and he offers her the coin so she can go to Braavos and learn from the faceless men. He also protects her and is very chivalrous calling her his Lady of Stark. So, first thing that springs to mind about them is equality. Still, the quote above tells us that Jaqen has a soft spot for Arya and I think it will become even more obvious when they meet again.

hello! i’m planning on going to the event in deadwood since it’s only a few hours away from me; and it’s going to be my first time going to something like this. and i saw that you went to the one last year. i was wondering if you could help me? i don’t really know what to expect tbh. - (1) what does the autograph session include? like am i able to take a photo with them or is it just a signing and do i have to bring something for them to sign? (2) do i buy the individual guest autographs at the event? or how does that exactly work? (3) is there a way to see their prices? i want to meet the whole cast but if it’s too expensive i’ll be happy with just Roger and Rob. i know this is alot i apologize but thank you for your help !! 🫶🏻

What to expect:

It is going to be very packed for sure, or at least Tombstone was. I really hope the Deadwood event is a resounding success as well so it can happen again next year, wherever that may be.

You're going to be surrounded by people who love the same thing: Red Dead and the actors behind it all. So it should be a very fun, but easy-going and chill atmosphere.

1. What does the autograph session include?

Unless you get this year's VIP pass, there really isn't anything "included" in the autograph sessions. They work just like any other Comic Con. Once you get to the table of the actor you wish to meet, they will greet you very cheerfully and they may ask you a few questions to break the ice ("where are you from?", "did you drive far?", etc). They know that people will be nervous to meet them and they will absolutely try their best to make you feel at home. You will get your chance to ask them any questions you have in mind, and whether you want any autographs or selfies, or present them with any artwork, gifts, etc.

2. Do I buy the individual guest autographs at the event? or how does that exactly work?

Yes, you can. Once you get to their tables, they will have all the prints laid out and you can pick & choose whichever you want, OR, you can also take a specific print or item you want them to sign. The price is the same.

3. Is there a way to see their prices? I want to meet the whole cast but if it’s too expensive I’ll be happy with just Roger and Rob. I know this is a lot I apologize but thank you for your help !! 🫶🏻

Sadly, I do not have a current price list, but their prices have remained pretty much consistent and have not increased very much, even with all this inflation.

The prices below are just an estimate. They mostly reflect what Roger and Rob charge, but each actor sets their own prices. They are very reasonable but if you are planning on getting autographs and selfies from the entire cast, then yeah, it does get a bit pricey.

I'd say my style teeters on vintage. I absolutely *adore* Renaissance dresses especially. I've actually gotten one recently! I haven't taken a picture yet sadly cause I've not had a reason to wear it, but I definitely will take pictures when I can. My style definitely takes a lot of inspiration from the coquette aesthetic. Frilly dresses? Lace and ruffles? Pink? Sign. Me. UP.

As for my choice of shoes, I love mary janes and ballet flats. You would not catch me dead wearing any sort of sneakers or "modern" type shoes.

And for fashion tips? Well, just have fun and experiment! It's always prime time to play a bit of dress up. Mix and match stuff, just see what you like and go with what you feel makes you feel most confident. Always know what colors compliment you and know how to coordinate them. Do your clothes go well with your hair color? That's awesome! I always love to do that. I find that beige/cream colors always compliment my hair color + gives a more vintage vibe. Not that you always *need* to find things that compliment your hair color. Again, just have fun! Your wardrobe is your paradise. Make of it what you will!

And always try to be objective about your body type. Being fashionable doesn't apply to a select few body types. Instead of focusing on what you see in the mirror and what you dislike about your body, pick apart the aspects that you do like and try to accentuate them a bit. Big hips? A skirt with splits on either side would look gorgeous! If skirts aren't your thing, find your thing. It's all about personal style and comfort. Maybe your pants are too tight or too big. That's okay! It's the clothes, not you. Besides; this just leaves more room to go shopping for some cuter clothes <3

Note: and please. When buying, especially online, please check your measurements...I learned the hard way by attempting to eyeball things. Eyeballing can lead to clothes that are either too tight or too big and a few dollars lost that could've been spent on your correct size. </3

Also, don't go *TOO* over the top with your spending habits in buying clothes. Trust me, as a high femme who loves fashion it is tempting, but please have mercy on your wallet.

At the end of the day, fashion is all about feeling confident and comfortable and looking darn good while doing it. Have fun and never be afraid to experiment.

How many movies are in the I was a teenaged Mothman series? If it's been ten years then THERE Has To be a lot, right?

Alright alright, I'll put a little more into the mothman universe, happy?

based off this ficlet

There were a total of 12 parts to the I Was A Teenaged Mothman series and one more on the way. Stiles could recite them all by heart at this point.

The first one came out before Stiles was born and was actually the first date of Noah and Claudia Stilinski. This one didn't have Derek Hale, it had someone less attractive and was actually a major flop. It still counted though, since it was the first one his mother showed him in the dead of night when he should have been sleeping.

When Stiles was 14 - during the era of Hollywood revival - the studio decided to re-vamp the Teenaged Mothman series with the actual teenage actors. Claudia had bought them tickets right in the middle of the theater and made sure their popcorn was in a collector bucket - just like when she had gone to the movies with Noah.

"The only way to watch these movies is with special popcorn and the center row." She said.

Stiles at first had been hesitant, but his mother used her "I want to do something with you" card and so he had no way of saying no.

And god was he happy he didn't.

17 year old Derek Hale playing Steven Dex was sex on wheels and Stiles wanted to drive him over a cliff. He went back at lest three time with Scott, though Scott didn't exactly get what being a teenaged mothman really was about.

The next movie - I Was a Teenaged Mothman Too - came out the year Claudia got sick. They still sat in the middle row of the theater, still had the collector bucket in Stiles' lap. It was just as terrible and just as wonderful, Derek almost out of the teenaged years, but still looking as good as ever.

Teenaged Mothman in London was a summer release the year Stiles started his sophomore year of High School and the year his mother died. He had bought two tickets for them early but knew that she wasn't going to make it. Noah offered to go with him, but Stiles said it wouldn't be the same.

He still got the collector bucket and sat in the middle of the theater. The only way to watch these movies.

Stiles took a date to Teenaged Mothman Returns, but it didn't feel right. She talked through the movie and asked stupid questions like "Why is he called the teenaged mothman if he's 20 years old?" and "I think Derek Hale is over rated, can we make out instead?"

Senior year marked the release of Teenaged Mothman: A Moth to the Flames. It had been slated to be the last movie of the series, Derek Hale even saying in an interview that he loved the Mothman series, but he was ready to try and do something a little more serious.

Stiles felt a little depressed. He knew the movies were just pulp, but they were the last bit of his mother he felt he had. There was something sad about the idea that he would never again have a Mothman collector bucket to add to the stack.

As if the studio heads leaned down and said "this kid in particular needs more" Mothman and Wolfgirl came out the first semester of his undergrad. He could tell they were trying to introduce a new character to replace Derek, but Wolfgirl (played by the GORGEOUS Erica Reyes) didn't hit the right spot for Stiles. Derek Hale shirtless with wings was the fit.

The next three movies were focus on Wolfgirl (Wolfgirl and Mothman take on Manhattan, Sleepless with a Wolfgirl, Mothman and Wolfgirl Return) but Derek was still slated in them so Stiles went to every single one with his bucket in hand.

His senior year of his undergrad, Mothman Saves the World came out. It was much more superhero than the original ones, but Stiles still loved it. Derek's new costume department really said let's put him in TIGHT clothing.

At the end of the movie, as Stiles watched Mothman throw himself into the fires of Hell to save everyone, he cried. It was the true end of Mothman, there was no way he was going to be able to come back from this. Stiles felt hollow, empty.

He even went online to read through fanfictions where Mothman was saved by the plucky human best friend Erik or Wolfgirl. (Stiles was a firm Sterik [Steven/Erik] shipper, but he could respect WolfMoth writers)

For a few years, nothing came out and all the Wolfgirl movies had been put in production hell. And then, one night, Google told Stiles the next movie was going to come. He was a little sad that Derek wasn't on the big names, but it was still a MothSeries. He bought the popcorn, bought the seats and sat.

Wolfgirl and the Ring of Destiny was campy and silly, but he could tell how hard everyone worked on trying to tiptoe around the fact that Steven Dex was dead. And then the most beautiful fanfiction thing happened. Erik resurrected Steven using the Ring and sacrificing his own eyesight.

Derek Hale returned on screen, wings spread and eyes glowing the bright Red of a full born Moth. Stiles screamed in the theater, celebrating and jumping up and down like no 22 year old should be during a cheesy movie. And for the first time in the HISTORY of Mothman history, Erik and Steven shared a passionate kiss.

Stiles might have gone home and found the filthiest Sterik fics he could.

Now, with the newest movie, Mothman in Love they were going to explore him returning and what that means for him and Erik and Stiles couldn't be more excited.

Well, maybe more excited that Derek Hale was sitting next to him in the theater.

Why didn't Rhaegar tell anyone he married Lyanna? Why would they keep that a secret and start a war?

The thing that really started the rebellion was Brandon Stark's visit at the Red Keep where he declared that he was willing to kill the Crown Prince. It was a treason and that pushed Aerys over the edge.

Of course, it's true that Brandon had been prompted by Lyanna's and Rhaeagar's elopement but he didn't need to be that stupid. He did what he did not just because he was worried about Lyanna but because of his one-sided rivalry with Rhaegar. Brandon was a lot like Robert Baratheon. He lost to Rhaegar during the tourney and he couldn't stomach it. I just wanted that to be clear.

But back to Rhaegar. I think that Rhaegar left someone who knew the truth and could warn the Starks. I believe it was Lyanna's younger brother, Benjen.

Benjen Stark knew that Rhaegar and Lyanna got married or were going to get married. He stayed to tell the Starks not to worry about Lya. However, Benjen lied when pressed by Rickard.

I'm sure that Ned learned the truth either from Lyanna in the Tower of Joy or from Ashara Dayne. Lyanna didn't have much time for an elaborated confession. She was dying and her main concern was her baby. She might have told Ned the truth but if she hadn't lived long enough to confess it, Ashara could tell Ned a lot about Lyanna and Rhaegar.

Ned left the Tower of Joy with Jon and went to Starfall to give Ashara Arthur's sword. They might have had a long conversation and Ashara could have told Ned how everything had been arranged. When Ned returned to Winterfell, he confronted Benjen and that's how Benjen ended up at the Wall. We know from A Game of Thrones that Benjen hated his life in the Night's Watch. When Jon decided to join the Watch Benjen even tried to talk him out of it. So I think the Watch wasn't Benjen's choice but his punishment for the lie.

Now, why would Benjen lie? Because Rickard wanted it. It suited his plans.

It was the time when Rhaegar had finally realized that his own father was no longer fit for ruling. Rhaegar wanted to put his father aside and crown himself the King. That's what the tourney in Harrenhal was for: to gather the support of the Lords. However, Rickard Stark didn't attend the tourney.

Rickard Stark didn't want Rhaegar to be the King. Lord Stark wanted to overthrow the Targaryens and install a new dynasty. We learn about his "southron ambitions" in A Dance with Dragons.

Rickard couldn't put himself or his son on the Iron Throne but he could find an ally with a drop of Targaryen blood. Rickard found such an ally in the person of Robert Baratheon. I'm not sure if Robert was even aware of the scale of Rickard's plans back then. I think he wasn't. But Robert liked Ned and he found Ned's sister to be very attractive so they arranged a betrothal against Lyanna's will. If Rickard's plan would have worked, his grandson would have been the next king.

Then, the story of the "kidnapping" was a convenient one. Rickard could prove that the Targaryens were not suitable for ruling. Not only the father was mad but the son was a kidnapper and a rapist.

Rhaegar, on the other hand, didn't know what was going on in Westeros until his father sent for him. But then it was already too late.
