I'd considered not posting this, given the sensitive nature, but I have already seen some posts and edits that I think means I should:
Suzuka will be the 10 year anniversary of Jules Bianchi's crash. Obviously all eyes will be on Charles, and indirectly Daniel as well.
For Charles, this is probably going to be a brutally intense weekend. Jules was his godfather, and he never got to see him race in F1. He lost his father a few years later, and Anthoine a few years after that.
I wish I was in charge of press and could tell everyone not to ask about it, not to post, but I am not and I can't. I won't be making the comparisons, I will be trying not to talk about it this weekend. I might mention a nice tribute on the track, as Suzuka is usually a beautiful one, but other than that, I hope to not be focusing on it.
Charles is a contender for the championship this weekend and this season. I don't think it escapes anyone that he lost his place in Suzuka previously before. Including him. I hope he gets the space to focus on his season not his losses.
I am going to try not to comment. Grief, even ten years later, is an ugly, private beast.
No one should be commenting on it. Don't ask me to.

Charles Leclerc stands on the grid with Carlos Sainz (and Andrea Ferrari) behind him at the Anthoine Hubert Memorial 🥺
Joined on his other side by Mattia Binottto and Sebastian Vettel.

Seeing people's response to the ESPN tweet about drivers calling on the fia to cancels Spa if the conditions are too bad being to 'just drive slower' or that they don't like the idea is fucking sickening and so deeply concerning. How are you more concerned about entertainment than the safety of at least 72 drivers, the thousands of staff, and hundreds of thousands of fans???? Dilano lost his life at 18 years old just 26 days ago in horrific conditions that they shouldn't have been racing in and you still have no concern for the drivers. We seen so many times how dangerous Spa is, both in the dry and the wet, but who gives a shit if we lose our Sunday afternoon (in Europe) entertainment right???
The tweet for anyone that's interested. Should also note I haven't read the article yet, I got too annoyed at "fans" response to it
