Found this very informative article about acting jobs on Deadline. They break it down for the layman what's going on in the industry and why acting jobs in this climate are very hard to come by.

In terms of the fandom, I am especially posting this for folks who have tried to downplay Walker's importance and sort of state that not working or working as a guest star is somehow better than being a lead.

Recent con has made it clear as to why Jared would get depressed time and time again when he was doing SPN? And why is he in a far better mood when he was with Walker?

Imagine getting slighted and dissed at an event that was started because of you. You are looked down upon by colleagues whom you helped and advice to be part of this circuit. They don't even care for you and make fun of your expense, and you don't have any choice but to endure. Becoz lashing or saying anything will only hurt your image and will make you look like an asshole.

If this isn't enough, the same behavior is carried on to your work. People have realised that you won't do much about it, so the ill treatment continues at work. What makes it worse is that you have to not only act brotherly towards the guy who was the reason behind the ill-treament to maintain the facade but also stroke his ego and praise him for everything.

You will let it go at first, and you might take in a stride, but as it continues, it starts gnawing at you. Slowly, it starts chipping at you, making you sad and slowly you become disinterested in the work you used to like the most.

You could see this happening with Jared. There was a huge difference between Jared that was in the earlier panels vs. Jared that was in the panel towards the end of SPN. You could see how Jensen and fans' constant dissing and ridiculing made Jared vary. What made me angry was how Jensen and Co was trying to ridicule Jared about dad jokes simply because those are the ones that connect him the most with the audience. The entire drum roll beat is the most ridiculous thing of cons.

It is totally understandable why Jared said that Walker reignited his love for acting. Imagine how ugly it must have been for Jared that he stop loving the craft he once loved the most

You and your self-important, European anon, may pretend to have inside info to make your Jared look better, but Kim's post should make it clear to everyone why Jared is no longer wanted at most creation cons. He just doesn't bring in enough money anymore. His overpriced demands are disproportionate to his sales. While Jensen's photos are always sold out immediately, as are JenMish, Jared's are usually available until the very end. Not to mention Mishalecki. So to say that Jared no longer wants to work with creation or Jensen, it is much more likely that creation no longer wants to work with Jared. Jensen is worth every penny. Jared is only good for a few cheap comic cons.

LMAO! Thanks for the laugh, anon! Kim's post only proves that she's unemployed and not that popular. I don't see Jared out there begging for conventions. In fact, he's charging the most at general conventions and still selling out.

But sure, anon. that's also why Creation was selling Jared-less cons at half-price before Christmas, and why the only sold-out sections next year are at cons with Jared.

The only reason Jensen and Misha's tickets go for more is because idiots like yourself are willing to go into debt to overbid on them. But those are only a small part of Creation's sales. They also need stars to attract people to the convention in general. It's why they added JDM to Burbank. And yet, Burbank only 3 months away still has 186 Sunday seat tickets available (out of 448) (59% sold) and New Jersey, which Jared is attending, only has 127 Sunday seats available (out of 679) (81% sold).

Also, no one ever said Jensen wasn't popular. We're just saying that Jared is looking to expand his reach beyond Supernatural and Creation, and that it's a good business move. If Jensen and Misha and their fans want to stick with Creation, great! No one's stopping them. But if you think Creation is the one that let Jared go, you're the one mistaken because the facts don't lie.

You can keep telling yourself Jared's not popular while he sells out on a frequent basis at general comic cons (even while charging the highest prices at those cons) and he and Gen nearly fill a 5,000 seat hall all on their own.

Please forgive me for the below rant, I just might cry if I'll see one more AA post that shows lack of balance and complete disregard of self and others over a ship or celebrity:

You can...choose real family and friends over fictional ships and celebrities.

You can...invest money in Yourself and your Dreams instead of going into debt over conventions.

You can...work on your self concept, image and body until you reach your desired state instead of blindly worshipping that celeb with the fitter body or whatever attribute you put on a pedestal (mental, physical, etc).

You can...choose role models that can uplift, inspire and guide you instead of worshipping z listers like Danneel who bring nothing of value to your life.

You can...invest in knowledge, mentors, collaborators instead of stalking celebrities.

You can...choose self worth and care instead of devaluing yourself over a celebrity's image (need I remind you they have entire teams of people who handle their body and image?)

You can set healthy boundaries and find resonance with real friends instead of mass bullying others who have different views over fandom faves and fandom related topics.

You can...choose to see your fav actor as a real human that has both good and bad aspects, just like you, instead of making up an unrealistic image with false expectations that will pull you into mania and other mental unbalances.

You can...use your admiration as inspiration to build your own dreams instead of choosing envy or jealousy.

You can...love your fav without hating the others. You can...give yourself permission to have your own views and allow other to do the same.

You can do all this and so much more but the question is: Will you?

I believe in you. Please believe in yourself. You are enough.

Fandom and art can inspire you but should never overshadow you or the gifts the Universe blessed you with.

I just went through your plog and from the few things I've read i understand that you have no love for the Ackles and very much love and respect for the pads.

you hold the pads on a pedestal and in your eyes they do no wrong, I'm not going to mention the history of their mess ups because I'm not trying to convince you of anything, but I wonder why so negative towards the Ackles even though they're not using their kids for ads or trying to sell their marriage every chance they get, all the pads do is ads, their whole marriage is a super market, the Ackles stick to living their lives and doing their thing and making money just like the pads do but not using their kids and marriage, making money is not wrong and you see the pads ways are ok but the Ackles are horny for money??

nothing the pads post is for free, it's all business even their s*x life and you still respect that, but Jensen doing something on the side without telling his brother on screen who is obvious they lost touch after jared thought walker will get him the oscar!!

Lol thanks for the ask Anon? I encourage you to read more of my posts than just a handful. I recently made a post regarding both of the j2 marriages and certainly questioned both of their marriages and their timelines. In fact, in this post I focused more on the Pads' marriage for multiple reasons. I find it hilarious you conveniently overlooked this tidbit and others but sure if it helps you sleep at night. Just another bored AA looking to criticize someone just because they read a few posts and frankly not correctly so. Have a good one, and please do some spring cleaning or something constructive. You'll feel better afterwards :)

Part II

I am back to answer the rest of the two questions related to Jensen and the prequel gate...

About my views on Jensen... Early on, especially when I started following con panels and attended two myself. I became Jared girl, Jensen, for me, was an accessory. He was just like any actor, nothing special. When I met him, I knew instantly that though it is an informal event, it is all business for him. Now, it wouldn't have meant much because I am used to actors' behavior, but for me, the behavior stood out coz I had just met Jared, who was the big ball of energy. So meeting Jensen immediately after Jared was like someone sucked the energy out. This is exactly why, for the next day, I kept Jared at the last because I wanted to end my day with the positivity.

So I didn't mind Jensen as he didn't come across as rude or insulting like Misha, nor was he amiable like Jared. He was just like any actor.

For me, the first red flag came during AKF and YANA debacle, which is when I realised that Jensen is not how he appears to be. He is very calculative and shrewd. He supported YANA despite knowing it was a blatant copy for AKF. Still, I said fine you launch YANA. There is no copyright on supporting MH more the support better it is. BUt, Misha and Jensen were totally insincere with the campaign. They didn't take efforts to understand the gravity of the situation nor gave any thoughts on how the campaign was being presented. It was clear that YANA was nothing but a money minting project for M, Jensen, and CW. The worst was when the campaign failed, Jensen bailed, leaving Misha alone to take the fall. He didn't have balls to stand up for the project that was supposedly important to him. The moment it failed, he went. Nope, I wasn't interested in it, I just did it to help M. Everything was M's idea.

Since then, I started doubting Jensen intentions and didn't believe a word he said. I realise that he is opportunist. The moment he sees profit into something, he latches to it. Not only that, but even in terms of putting effort, he does the bare minimum, but when it comes to appreciation, he is first to take credit.

My doubts were confirmed with Prequelgate. At first, the sheer unprofessionalism was appalling, but I thought there might be some miscalculation. He won't stan Jared immediately after the end of the show. But that illusion broke when Kripke tweeted, apologizing Jared and stating that he assumed Jensen must have informed Jared. It proved that whatever Jensen did was intentional. He always wanted to own the SPN brand. I think somewhere it always hurt Jensen that despite being senior in the craft, it was Jared, a conparatively young actor who got the lead. Jared was always in the forefront when it came to media attention. If you have time, then just compare the kind of media that gave coverage to Jared and Jensen and the amount of time they do it, at least during SPN. Jared, with his extrovert attitude, is mainstream media fave. So I feel it was deliberate. He was to slyly make the brand for himself, and he knew he would lose Jared's fan if he told the truth. So he lied about Jared. When he was called out, like a coward, he once again ran and hid.

What is the worst was the MR podcast that showed the world hus true face. Instead of apologizing, he tried to shift the blame on Jared. Which was the dick move and then his constant lying and changing the reason as to why he didn't inform Jared. It was when I lost all the respect for him. In fact, according to me, at that point, he seemed worse than Musha. With Misha, we knew what to expect, but Jensen pretended to be a friend/brother and then backstabbed the said brother. Such people are the worst.

Post prequelgate, Jensen behavior came to light. Things that were ignored becoz his association with Jared came to like. It became quiet telling how Jensen never supported Jared. How he never asked his fans not to hate on Jared PS, immediately after prequelgat Jared actually asked fans not to hate Jensen. Jensen never extended the same courtesy. In fact, he piled on to the hate by making sparky comments. He would always diss Jared. How he never took ant effort to make Jared feel special, not even during his birthday. How he always used Jared and then dissed him from everything . How he would steal Jared's jokes and ideas and pass it as his own.

Infact, now when I look back I feel Jensen always tried to one up Jared. See, everything that he has done it is immediately after Jared. Jared shifted to Austin and bought a house with open field and stuff, Jensen immediately shifted to Austin and bought the house at the lake front. Jared entered pub business with San Jac salon and curated an alcohol with Stephen, Jensen started FBBC. PS: Jensen had zero idea about beer , nor did he bother to learn about it. Unlike Jared, who studied the entire market. Gen started her influencer journey, Dannel tried to copy it and, when she failed, resorted to dissing Gen like a child. Jared and Gen got into production, and so did Jensen and D. He has always copied Jared. Even now, Jensen is trying to copy Jared's long hair look. Over the year, he has seen how Jared long hair look has been appreciated, so he is now trying to copy it. He couldn't do it earlier because producers and directors didn't allow him to. Now we know why they did, Jensen looks like cheap motel pimp.

What really gets me about aa's take on Dean is that they're always going on about how Sam fans don't think of him as more than Sam's brother and Sam's soulmate and basically not being able to let Sam go. But the thing is, Sam fans aren't saying that that's healthy or that it's a good thing or that Dean shouldn't be more than that, they're just saying that the show has shown us that that is who Dean is. It is an unhealthy, codependent relationship that both Brothers perpetuated. And they want Dean to be independent and free of his self flagellation and his need to cling to his family, but the show pretty blatantly showed us that Dean was never going to be like that. Even in heaven. They can wish for it all they want. Just like Sam fans really would have loved for Sam to have of just kicked Dean to the curb sometimes for some of the things he did. Both of those things were unrealistic and clearly not the show they were writing.

Exactly! I've seen so many people complain about the finale and how Dean should have lived so he could move on, get a job, stop hunting, (settle down with Castiel, ugh), etc., (while Sam ran his hunter-in-training school with Eileen), but a healthy sibling dynamic (and romance) was not what SPN was about. And for a lot of people, myself included, the toxic, codependent, sacrifice the world to save each other relationship between Sam and Dean was what made it so compelling, and watchable through to the bitter end.

People can headcanon all they want, but to claim SPN should have been something it wasn't is basically saying you don't like SPN.

honestly when i read it, i felt uneasy, you were saying all those positive things about Jensen, but something was off and it took me a little bit to realize what it was.

here's the simplest example, you said

that's not a compliment, you're basically criticizing his singing, pointing out that sometimes he's off key.

that's not how appreciation works, you're supossed to bring atention to the positive trait not the negative.

that's a compliment.

the "when he's on key" is implicit. everyone can sing on key if they practice enough, but not everyone has a nice singing voice.

I happen to master canto very well and have since a very young age, I have a ton of singer friends who have coached with the best voice coaches in the industry so NO, I cannot, in fact, ever say Jensen sings just beautifully unless he actually does. It is absolutely creepy to keep worshipping him instead of saying the truth. Jensen's singing is mostly off key nowadays and lacks interpretation among many other things.

You confuse blind, obsessive worship for love and you are free to do so, what you are not free to do is command people's feelings about Jensen and their truth.

I shared my truth and it stands. You don't like it? Feel free to eff off. It is creepy how much you AAs stalk me just to find something negative to say when, in reality, the things I expressed are more honest, more genuine and more beautiful than your creepy comments which only objectify Jensen or, even worse, pitch him as some sort of god.

Lastly, you don't get to give me orders, I do and feel whatever I want and it's not my job, duty or obligation to appease your image of what loving Jensen is like.
