what pisses me off about anti Bbrae stans and some Bbrae shippers

Now about the Bbrae shippers not all but most..

Terra isn’t necessarily a bad person she was manipulated by sl*de both in the comics and in the 2003 animated

Terra and Raven would have had the best friendship I don’t need to say anymore about this

Raven is a girl boss who doesn’t need a man

I find it disgusting how she’s always sexualised by fan artists in the fandom she’s a minor aged up or not Do better

Where are the Raven fan arts? It’s always Raven with her supposed love interest (Beast boy , Damian, Jason Todd, etc)

Portraying a almost goddess like half demon as the damsel in distress and this isn’t just the Bbrae fanfics it’s most of the Raven ships you know the typical Raven gets kidnapped by Slade or malchior and the Said love interest saves the day!

Malchior and Raven had a potential relationship that us Malrae shippers were robbed off teen titans writers im looking at you 👀

Yes I do ship Raven with Dick Grayson not Damian or Beast boy.

Reason: Hmm.........The Reason is I don't know why I really feel so good when I saw dickRae post. It feels really good and I really enjoy this couple.

Why I don't ship BBRae or RobStar: Ok I watch OG teen titans and TTG and they got RobStar and BBRae but I don't get those happy and warm vines which I get from DickRae. BBRae really seem like a big sis/small bro relationship to me. And about RobStar it's like a cute High school first sight love but for real relationship it's DickRae.

And I just hate that whenever I search RobRae I get DamiRae and real is I want DickRae.

And I think Beast boy kind suit with Terra and he have even dated her as you have seen in Og series and I don't care she is dead or what but she is always alive for me and I love her BB only.

(I know that RobStar, BBRae and DamiRae is canon but my heart loves DickRae so I can't reject it)

So I’ve decided that 1) from now on YJ Gar’s design will be my default animation gar regardless of what animated verse I am playing him in, though I am still mixed canon. 2) My Gar is not going to be entirely YJ or Teen Titans based but I am willing to start incorporating more YJ elements into my portrayal now. I didn’t like how they established his character in s1 but now with that episode that came out and how it corrected the mistakes from s1 that I didn’t like, I am more open to using more of YJ inspired elements in my portrayal. I might flat out add a YJ verse but we’ll see how the rest of the season goes before I decide that.

Implying something there, are we? But sure, I'll give you those - plus ships that haven't gotten any hate thrown at me a la my experiences with the SPoP and Star Wars fandoms, even though these couples make Reylo's unpleasant moments seem rather tame by comparison.

First off, I'm an absolute sucker for ships where the villain improves as an individual (doesn't necessarily cease their villanous ways) due to/for the object of their affection. Really gets my dopamine levels going! I suppose this explains why every ship I'm about to mention in this post falls under that trope.

Ships Disliked By Fandoms

Kylo Ren/Rey

We all know how a significant chunk of the Star Wars fandom feels about Reylo. 'Nuff said.

I'm also a sucker for enemies-to-lovers who don't underestimate each other's fighting skills and become a warrior-couple!

Look at 'em go!

Hordak/Entrapta

Entrapdak's not only one of the healthiest relationships in She-Ra, it's also remarkably fleshed out! Alas, some people act as if this harmless ship poisoned their water supply, burned their crops, and delivered a plague unto their houses.

Beast Boy/Terra

I recall encountering anti-BBTerra-sentiment on DeviantArt back then. I get it to some extent; Terra tried to kill Beast Boy. What's more, her callous indifference toward her former friends throughout Aftershock: Part 1 also irked me, not gonna lie. Yet she saved the day at the cost of her own life - thanks in part to Beast Boy helping her realize she still had a choice. She wasn't a complete monster.

Despite everything, those two still cared about each other. How can anyone hate that?

Akito Sohma/Tohru Honda

I'm certain this relationship would be just as unpopular as Reylo if more people shipped it.

Anyway... Akito and Tohru are foils, but they also share many significant similarities with each other. I find them more compelling than Akito/Shigure.

Ships That Don't Get Hate

Harvey Dent/Gilda & Harvey/Anyone

I love how Gilda - and Harvey's other love interests - bring this deeply flawed individual's best qualities out. Did you know Harvey loved Gilda so much, he killed her second husband's murderer because the man's death had left her grieving.

"All I've ever wanted was to be certain Gilda was happy... I even stayed out of her life when she found Dave Stevens. But he had [Maroni] to kill Stevens. He had to ruin my Gilda's happiness! He deserved to die for what he did to me. But for what he did to Gilda, he deserved to die horribly!"

Furthermore, he spared Batman's life at Gilda's behest. She got him to decide without the coin! He did it for her.

I live for these moments, my dudes.

Unfortunately, Harvey is his own worst enemy. Not even Gilda could fix his issues, hence their divorce. He keeps messing up his chances at redemption (it doesn't help that he relinquishes his free will to a coin). As a result, his relationships fall apart every time.

The women in his life - requited or not - wind up suffering alongside him.

Harvey's trainwreck of a life is simply fascinating to me - especially his romantic relationships, regardless of their unhealthy nature. These stories add to his character.

About my earlier ask: First of all it didn't answer the first question regarding why me shipping RobX was suddenly a big deal now, second: 3227 is Sladin, and I think Minor/adult is a bigger trigger warning. And I'm not telling you to delete that one, if you say "All couples allowed", whether in FAQ or in rules, I think that mean all ships all period. Otherwise you're just leading people on and honestly a hypocrite. imo I really agreed with the all ships rule, and you should just stick to it 1/2

bc I see weird arbitrary rules regarding shipping all the time, trying to pinpoint the line of what is valid. Is the Slerra minor/adult even though it's mentioned she's an adult now? Is BBRae and/or BBTerra abusive? There's a whole war over whether Jaydick counts as incest! (I agree that it is but not the point) and I think if you just tag the correct ship no one should be triggered as Tumblr Savior exists for a reason and if it triggers them they should be mature and block the ship. 2/2

Ah, forgive me, I didn’t realize you were asking that. I mean, the basic answer is that I have ADHD and I don’t always notice things like that. I try to be alert, but sometimes I just flat-out Don’t Notice something. Like I said, it didn’t occur to me before. Also, I had just read a friend’s theory on who Red X is, so considering his identity was probably “top of mind” when I queued the submission.

Second: I think I’ve mentioned before that there were already a few thousand posts before I started moderating. I wouldn’t have accepted Sladin, because pedophilia is another highly triggering topic. (Even moreso than incest, I agree!) But it wasn’t me at the helm back then, and I simply don’t have the time to run through all 5000 posts that were already there and pick out every single questionable submission. I’m definitely going to go tag that one, but there are going to be inconsistencies. I didn’t start this blog, the baton was just passed to me several thousand posts in.

And third: Tumblr Savior exists, yes, but as someone who needs Tumblr Savior desperately, it also breaks every time Tumblr updates the dash, doesn’t block posts on the actual blog page, and doesn’t block tags if they’re not Exactly the Way You Wrote It in the blacklist. Not to mention, you can’t use it at all on mobile. It generally does its job, but it’s not a surefire way to protect people. Refusing to accept the submission is.

The rules may seem arbitrary to you, but like I said: It’s a judgement call. Maturity is also in knowing when to take a stand, and this is where I take mine. You’re welcome to disagree, but I actually care about not triggering people, and I take that rule very seriously.

I think I’ve made my stance clear, and if you’d like to dissent any further, I would appreciate it if you either dm’d me or sent messages on my personal instead, over at @beyondthetemples-ooc.

coincidentally, i don’t have many ships for gar. it’s usually BBRAE and BBTERRA, but i consider raven slightly more platonic. like best friends who are like lovers. they’re so interested in each other that they don’t want to ruin their friendship. i absolutely adore gabriel picolo’s bbrae art, though !!!  i ship it more from the illustrations than the tv shows. i need to read more comics to know the development of how they fell in love with each other romantically. i’m NOT anti-bbrae. as for bbterra, gar loved terra FOR SURE.

Dont get me wrong, theres definitely people who post on it just because terras in the way of bbrae, but to me and im guessing other people i just see terra as an antagonist to the story, even if she was being controlled, she was still a villain in the story.
