I'm only going to say this once so it's clear.

Iron Fist is Danny Rand's story.

Just like Daredevil is about Matt Murdock.

Jessica Jones is about Jessica herself.

Luke Cage is about Luke.

And The Punisher is about Frank Castle.

These shows aren't about 'ships' or 'supporting players'. And none of these heroes/protagonists are perfect. None.

Trying to erase the main ticular character out of their own series/story (Because you dislike them and the actor playing them for narrow minded reasons) in order to justify your bias towards a favorite character is just wrong. And frankly I'm getting sick of seeing hate posts like this in the Danny tag.

Unpopular opinion: I really enjoyed Iron Fist and it was responsible for me getting into any of the Netflix Marvel shows at all. 

This whole thing about people hating on the show because they kept Danny Rand TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL CHARACTER is bullshit. Equality is crucial to humanity moving forward but holy shit, you fucking idiots - it’s a show! A work of art! It’s based on the original comic. 

Why would they change the character just to assuage folks who want an Asian hero? That kind of arbitrary pandering is what makes whole groups of people look like a needy, whiny drag on progress itself. When in reality, on the individual level, there are good smart people of every group - be it ethnic, religious, sexual, etc. It’s just that the loudest of each group are usually the stupidest who get everything wrong. 

That’s fucking frustrating. This reaction is one of weak minded fools who are mentally daft, anti-artistic, anti-human intelligence (it assumes people aren’t smart enough to see that this is just a character experiencing something in a story, or decent enough to not foist their agenda or personal feelings onto every fucking piece of art they see that offends their sensibilities.)

People are becoming huge pussies and it’s ruining art. Netflix should totally make Season 2 because the show rules. All the haters are of the same ilk that ruins good things and misunderstands all the great revolutions of humanity. It’s shit like this that makes me understand how people with good intentions are still likely to get it wrong and fuck everything up for others. It makes me realize how right I am that humans are horse shit no matter what. 

The human race deserves everything it’s getting in recent days. Honestly, I just sit back and laugh. When I’m gone I don’t really care if the entire world explodes. I’ll be all busy being dead and not giving a fuck. Earthlings deserve those like the Hand. hehe.
