BvS & TLJ both tackle themes that caused our beloved heroes to see their darkest selves and find a way to come back from that. People weren't ready for that. Not then & I doubt now they'd have the stomach for it. People hate what they don't understand. That statement really defines both movies & the internet's outraged reaction. People never bothered trying to understand them. They just wrote it off, which infuriates me to no end tbh. The lack of critical thinking, coming to your own conclusions (without being influenced by others), and giving the movies a chance to show you what their messages are. Both these movies deal with fallen heroes coming back from the deepest depths of their despair. I'll always love these two films for daring to be different and owning it. These movies are truly timeless imo

Recently, I read Joshua M. Patton's article from the CBR website that compared Tyler Hoechlin's portrayal of Superman to Henry Cavill's portrayal of Superman.  As much as I like Hoechlin's portrayal in “Superman & Lois”, the idea that he can "rehabilitate" Cavill's portrayal is the biggest load of shit I have ever read.  There was nothing wrong with Cavill's portrayal as far as I'm concerned.  If anything, I found it to be a great breath of fresh air.  And I'm getting sick and tired of fans like Mr. Patton who keep demanding that Superman be some one-dimensional Boy Scout or close to being one.  And when they get this portrayal, they complain that Superman is not complex enough.  Fans like Mr. Patton are so damn fickle.  Zack Snyder was right to show how fickle human beings can be in both "Man of Steel" and "Batman v. Superman".  As for Mr. Patton, he can take his article and shove it up his ass.  If I'm being rather hostile, it's because after six to eight years since the releases of Snyder’s movies, I've just had about enough of this shit.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Senator June Finch is one of several reasons why I hate Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She's one of Superman's biggest haters (even though she had a last-minute change of heart). She actually conspired, albeit briefly, with Lex Luthor to try to kill Superman. And lastly, she's a Democrat, and her party hasn't been on the American people's good graces these past few years. June Finch is a shining example of why politics (and politicians) should stay out of superhero affairs: nothing good ever comes from it (i.e. Marvel's Civil War).

it’s really funny that taylor has adopted a reputation for being well-read and book smart because every time she opens her mouth about a real world issue i am forcibly reminded that she stopped going into school after 10th grade (her words), and even then, her formal education was provided by the state of tennessee.
Tumblr media
because… what?
to frame patriarchy as this inherent thing that has ALWAYS existed and is as naturally occurring as a blue sky, is just not true. and to frame capitalism as this thing that is inherent is also just… not true. i could never unpack in just a post why those claims are ahistorical, but i will say that it is fucking nuts to look at an issue of capitalism and say “yeah it’s a problem, but, well, i’m just going to win at it 🤩” and call it feminism.
and that is the problem with white feminism. it just turns into idiots trying to speak on single topics and cherry pick their agendas, even though, in a sociopolitical or socioeconomic sense, it doesn’t work like that. you cannot talk about feminism without discussing western society, organized religion, global superpowers, communities of color, colonization, climate change, corporations, monopolies and more. anything less is useless at best and misleading at worst.
(because when you don’t, you get brain dead hot takes like “patriarchy has existed since the dawn of time, and so has money!”)
it’s like how greta thunberg said that she started as just a climate change activist, but now she’s basically a total anti-capitalist advocating for a complete disruption and overthrow to the way the world currently runs because she realized that advocating for that and advocating for climate justice are one and the same.
and if you criticize taylor swift for talking out of her ass, you’ll be hit with brainwashed swifties throwing out the word “misogyny” or “you’d never ask another celebrity this” or “you’re holding her to her own standards” because they’ve been hearing taylor’s bullshit feminism for so long that now they’ve adopted it as their own
taylor’s feminism will NEVER surpass the self-serving role it fills in her life because to do so would mean confronting the bigotry she has upheld, the questionable people she spends her time with, the wealth she is hoarding, her impact on the environment, and much more.
which is… fine, i guess. she doesn’t have to be a good feminist. but in that case she needs to pick a side and shut her fucking mouth about it. because letting her romp around spewing out the most egocentric and individualistic interpretations of it is boring and unhelpful.

Forgiveness
Danny's core pulsed and purred as he wrapped himself tightly around his boyfriend. They snuggled closer, deeply asleep thanks to the soft low rumbling in his chest. It was late, and really he should be asleep as well, but he couldn't. As amazing as his partner, his friends, his new family, had made the day, the ache still sat in his chest.
No matter how amazing his death-day was now. How safe and warm and comfortable he was in his new home after so long. The night was always hard. It always hurt and ached. His scars itched and his mind would refuse to shut down until the early dawn.
His parents. The Doctors' Fenton. Always came to the forefront of his mind on nights like this. The GIW and Anti-Ecto acts were long gone. The Justice League had taken care of that very quickly once he had come to their attention. But the Doctors Fenton did not give up so easily. Even if they were locked up now, their words still haunted him.
"Give me back my SON!" Maddie had screamed, even as Superman knocked the Ecto-Rifle from her hands. "You MONSTER! You may have tricked them, but you'll never trick us! We know better!"
"Mom-" His voice broke, his core ached. J'onn stood next to him, a hand on his shoulder. "Why won't you listen to me!"
He had only just managed to prevent a wail from escaping him as he collapsed into the martian's arms. Clung to the man for dear life the way only a lost, lonely child could. He couldn't watch as his parents were arrested and taken away.
For all he had been almost 20 then, a part of him would always be the scared 14 year old who died in his parent's lab. Would always be the shaking 18 year old who had to dodge blasts and nets from his own parents as he ran away. After he had come out to them as a ghost
He'd never even got to come out to them about the normal things.
The arms around him moved, shifted slightly, pulling him from the memories. There was a rustle as the blanket was pulled up. Danny realized his core had stopped purring, and that always woke Jason up.
"Still awake?" the rough voice of his boyfriend asked softly. "In your head again?"
"Yeah..." Danny replied, snuggling closer into the other's chest. "I miss who they used to be...Or who I thought they were anyway."
"I know... I'm so sorry Danny." Jason's hand gently rubbed his back, the other resting in his hair. "I'm sorry they couldn't see you."
"I just wish... I wish I could still be angry sometimes." He murmured softly. Closing his eyes and letting the tears fall. "It hurt less. To be angry."
"I know..." The other man said, holding Danny closer. Strong hands comforted him as Jason hummed softly in his chest. Still not quite able to get the hang of purring like Danny could.
But there was no going back to the anger. To the hate that had kept him going in that first year and a half, before he had ended up in Gotham. Before he had finally begun to heal his heart, his core, from the betrayal his parents had done.
He couldn't be angry anymore. He had tried so hard for a while. It had been so much easier than letting the grief sweep him away, But the simple fact was, Danny had forgiven them years ago. Not that they would ever find out. Not that they ever could.
Now, the pain washed over him. It got better, little by little as time went on. But grief never truly goes away.
Especially not when you mourn the living.

■ Characters
Koromaru (voiced by Shinya Takahashi in Japanese)
Tumblr media
A dog who awakens to the power of Persona after a tragic event. Since his original owner—the priest of the dorm’s neighboring Naganaki Shrine—had passed away, the protagonist and friends take him in as a full-fledged member of S.E.E.S.
Clever, loyal, and friendly, he quickly becomes a beloved member of the group. He seems especially close to Aigis—who translates his barks—and Ken Amada, the elementary school student.
In battle, he wields a knife in his mouth. His unique Persona is Cerberus, specializing in dark skills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aigis (voiced by Dawn M. Bennett in English, Maaya Sakamoto in Japanese)
Tumblr media
A man-made Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, 7th Generation. She joins S.E.E.S. as an android with a humanlike heart, granting her the power of Persona.
She harbors a mysterious attachment to the Protagonist from the first day they meet. Initially coming across as cold and robotic, she begins to discover more human emotions through her experiences with the group.
In battle, she fires off an arsenal of weapons built into her mechanical body. Her unique Persona is Palladion, specializing in physical and support skills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ken Amada (voiced by Justine Lee in English, Megumi Ogata in Japanese)
Tumblr media
The youngest member of S.E.E.S.—a 5th grader at Gekkoukan Elementary. After losing his mother in an accident, he comes to live at the Iwatodai Dorm.
After awakening to his Persona abilities, he joins S.E.E.S. of his own accord. While he strives to act mature with his mannerisms, deep down he is still a child with a passion for superhero TV shows.
In battle, he holds a long spear in contrast to his short stature. His unique Persona is Nemesis, specializing in light skills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shinjiro Aragaki (voiced by Justice Slocum in English, Kazuya Nakai in Japanese)
Tumblr media
A third-year at Gekkoukan High, though he can rarely be seen at school. He was a founding member of SEES alongside Mitsuru and Akihiko. After distancing himself for about two years, a certain turn of events convinces him to rejoin the group.
While unapproachable at first glance, beneath the gruff exterior is a gentle heart and a knack for cooking. He even has a soft spot for animals, doting on Koromaru when no one is looking.
In battle, he bludgeons with weapons like axes. His unique Persona is Castor, specializing in hard-hitting physical attacks.

How Would I Do….An Official DickKory Wedding Had I been in Charge if DC Comics
To clarify, the following proposal takes place within my version of a reboot for DC Comics Mainline books and continuity, as per my pinned post.
To catch everyone up to speed to when this will take place:
Two Event comics would’ve by now took place (Dawn of Fire and War of the Supervillians)
In between said events, Titans Leader Nightwing aka Dick Grayson would’ve had his secret identity discovered by a crime boss in Bludhaven with a massive grudge and used against him, more or less ruining his life and leaving the black and blue clad alter-ego wanted by the state Bludhaven is within with a massive bounty for a crime he didn’t commit (Clipped Wings and it’s subsequent Batfamily crossover Blue Hawk Down)
At the same time, the rest of the Titans would be attending to a crisis in space no doubt Tamaran related which leaves Starfire aka Princess Koriand’r emotionally shook to her core, and the B team of the Titans split with Red Arrow aka Roy Harper forming his own splinter anti hero team called Arsenal Inc. this combined with other unfortunate events to an entire half of the Titans leaves Wally West and Tempest aka Garth with no other options but to travel through time and ask for help from….themselves, their young Teen Titans selves, to which the Fab Five agree to and they travel forward in time and resolve to stay in this new future until things are set right. (See here)
Before the events of War of the Supervillains, Dick and Kory, now more or less in temporary retirement, are able to meet up with one another and share their experiences and interpersonal matters between them. Sure both are emotionally exhausted and burnout by recent events in their lives but they go through their issues together and strive to stay together, whether it be at Haly’s Circus once again traveling across the country or Kory taking a residence at Key West, Florida.
Once War of the Supervillains wraps up and status quos are reinstated especially for the Titans, Dick and Kory’s relationship is now stronger than ever before, thus leaving a pathway to their marriage wide open. Thus in this post, we shall cross it.
(Read more Below the Cut)
For a bit if Meta context , both Dick and Kory would have solo books in addition to Justice Titans at the very start of the reboot, released around the same time. So about around the 74th issue, what I had in mind was that the wedding would be a Seven Part Storyline with the following books in order:
An Alpha Issue (The Issue to which Dick, with a subplot in his solo book up to here would be finding a perfect ring for Kory once they approach the altar, and Kory finalize their plans for the wedding, their place, their minister/priest and all they talk of all the implications that can come from such)
Then Starfire #74 (We see her perspective of the big day fast approaching while the sub plot can deal with her further reconciliation with her sister Empress Komand’r aka Blackfire and as of this point in her solo book, her attempts to reconnect with her younger brother Ryand’r aka Wildfire starting to bear fruit; both siblings are given their perspectives of this wedding)
Then Nightwing #74 (On the flip side we see Dick’s perspective as he finally moves back to Bludhaven after Bruce Wayne and senator Janet Drake are finally able to lift the Wanted Bounty off Nightwing and find him innocent of all charges. We see the reactions of his fellow Haly’s Circus crew members and friends within the city of his upcoming wedding and their words they can give to the Boy Wonder)
Then comes the triple whammy of…
Justice Titans #74 (The main A team; other members besides Nightwing and Starfire are Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven and a resurrected and fully heroic Terra)
Titans #74 (The B team; consisting of Troia, Red Arrow, Tempest, Wally West Flash, Omen, Herald and Bumblebee)
And Teen Titans (The time displaced Fab Five of Robin I, Wonder Girl I, Aqualad I, Speedy I and Kid Flash Wally) #14;
These three take place on the Wedding Day itself but with a twist. They’ll fend off multiple supervillain attacks orchestrated by Benito ‘Boss’ Zucco (son of Anthony ‘Boss Zucco; see here) so that Dick and Kory can have their wedding in peace*. All the while each issue focuses on a particular character in their book and their perspective on the events unfolding. For example, Robin!Dick would be the one giving his thoughts about his future self’s wedding in Teen Titans.
Then finally a double-sized Omrga Issue (in which via a ceremony that combines Tamaranean and Human customs, I.e. the rings and the “You May Kiss the Bride”, Dick and Kory FINALLY are wedded together in harmonious matrimony. We follow that up with the reception attended by Batfamily members, the Titans, the Justice League, Komand’r with her royal court and even the time displaced Titans, allowing both present!Dick and Past!Dick to meet face to face. This issue and the storyline end with Dick and Kory beginning their journey across the galaxy for their Honeymoon)
Within the Post-Wedding aftermath, I’d combine the Nightwing and Starfire solo books into one.
Now it’ll be called ‘Nightwing & Starfire: The Flying Graysons’, starting with issue #75
Side Notes:
*This follows a a similar plot point within the Wedding of Reed Richards and Sue Storm aka Mr Fantastic and The Invisible Woman in the pages of Fantastic Four
At the wedding itself, yes indeed Tim Drake, despite being technically older than the standard age ranged can be the ring bearer for Dick and Kory, out of wanting to take some part for his big brother
Please, reply and especially reblog to share your thoughts about this idea, that’ll be very appreciated

Iceberg Siren pt 7
**here we go! Final chapter! I hope y'all enjoy!**
Jason stumbled, trying his hardest to get to the middle of the fight. The newest Teen Titans member, Phantom, was gallantly holding a glowing green shield to cover Batman while Darkseid attacked them all, and he desperately needed to get to Bruce and pull him away.
When he got home to Danny, he would ask the man to marry him immediately. They had only been dating a year, but Jason was sure of his feelings for the other man.
If he was being honest, he didn’t expect to get home, not if he truly wanted a home to return to.
Robin ran forwards, wielding his katana, and both Jason and Phantom watched in terror as he was swatted away by the ruler of Apokolips like a gnat.
Phantom’s shield dropped and she dove to catch Robin, cushioning his fall. Robin had told him about her- how she latched on to the entire team with both hands, protected them with everything she had. It was sweet to see it, even with the heartbreaking reality that her efforts might be in vain this last time.
With dawning horror, Jason noted that his little brother was struggling to breathe after the hit.
And then Phantom screamed.
“Ď̸͔̮̯͖̞̎͝A̵̩̱͙͓̳͉̲͓͗̍͗̆̉̆̓̒̋͝N̷̡͍̣̜͇̼̬͆̆͘͘N̶̦̦͆͐͗Ỵ̸̞̤͙͙͓̈́̍̎̕”
Her scream created a shockwave, and Jason threw up his arm to shield his face from the force of it, his helmet long destroyed in the fight. A bright flash of light appeared above Phantom, and suddenly there was a tall man in black with floating white hair hovering above her.
The man looked around, taking in the situation, and then lit up green when his eyes landed on Darkseid.
The wannabe god was staring at the man, in shock or rage Jason couldn’t tell.
“Prince Uxas of Apokolips.”
The strange man’s whisper carried across the battlefield, and it sent shivers down Jason’s spine. The voice was altogether familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, and he hated it.
The man floated down to stand in front of Phantom and Robin, coincidentally in front of Batman as well. Jason couldn’t see his face anymore.
“Do you know what you’ve done?”
Darkseid slammed the end of his weapon into the ground, obviously intent on fighting the newcomer.
“I’m here as is my right, interloper! What horrors have I not committed in the search for Anti-life? What authority have you to stop me?”
“You. Made. My. Daughter. Cry.”
The ice and danger in the man’s voice made Jason cast a prayer to a god he didn’t believe in that he would at least die quickly. Darkseid was powerful, but the newcomer clearly wasn’t afraid. Something told Jason that this man could end everyone on the battlefield with a flick of his finger and not worry about any life except Phantom’s.
Without warning, the man in black grew, humanoid form warping and shifting until he had too many limbs and too many eyes, an avenging angel of biblical proportion in the midst of the ruins of Metropolis. A crown of green flames appeared on the creature’s head, casting dancing shadows that reached out and snatched the invading force one by one, dragging them into the darkness.
“My authority is that of the King of the Infinite Realms, and I am Justice. You have been deemed unworthy based on your actions in this world and those beyond. I sentence you, Uxas of Apokolips, self-styled as Darkseid, to eternal suffering in the stockades of the dead.”
A great flaming sword appeared and the creature wielded it, swinging down on Darkseid. As soon as it connected with the alien, he and all of his remaining army vanished into nothingness.
The creature turned, folding in on itself as it made it’s way to Phantom. Jason forced his legs to move, to get to the three heroes closest to the stranger. They were down, he had to protect them, he had to-
“He’ll be alright, Phantom.”
“But- he- he got hit and he can’t breathe and-”
The being placed a gentle hand on Phantom’s dark hair, kneeling down to her level.
“It isn’t his time, Phantom. You’re holding him too tight. Let yourself rest, and everyone will recover.”
“I- I couldn’t stop him.”
Shaking it’s head, the being cupped her cheek.
“No one expected you to.”
As Jason got closer, the strange tingle of familiarity sparked more and more. The being’s unruly hair, calm voice, and constellations of freckles were achingly familiar.
Then they looked up at him as he stumbled over a rock, and he fell to his knees at the eyes that met his.
“Danny?”
Danny Nightingale smiled sheepishly at him, all teeth and inverted colors.
“Hey, Red. I’ll explain- later. We’ve got cleanup to do.”
~~~
Once the cleanup was done- all the heroes in cots in the Watchtower medbay, Danny left the room to detransform, leaving Dani and Jason to watch over their injured teammates. Once he was human again, he noticed his hands were shaking.
What would Jason do now? Now that he knew Danny was more powerful than he’d let on? Would he end their relationship? Would he be mad at Danny for lying?
He hadn’t intended on ever letting his boyfriend know- he’d hidden his extended powers fairly well, but when he heard Dani scream for him he had to go to her, consequences be damned. She was his daughter, the only person he really had left from home.
When he returned to the medbay, he made a beeline to Dani, sitting slumped over by Robin’s bedside. She had pulled all of the Teen Titans’ beds close, and was keeping an eye on all of them. Jason was there too, sitting beside Batman, but Danny had to check his clone over first.
“Phantom. Injuries?”
“Negative, Phantom. Just tired.”
He ran a hand through her hair, let down from its usual ponytail.
“You’ve done well today- get some rest, okay?”
She mumbled her assent and then crawled into the cot next to Robin. Cute.
Danny turned to Jason next, who was watching Batman’s chest rise and fall.
“I’m sorry.”
Jason’s head shot up.
“For what? You saved all our asses out there, Cricket.”
The pet name soothed some of Danny’s worries.
“Lying? I mean…” he gestured down at himself and Dani. “This whole thing is a pretty big lie of omission.”
His boyfriend chuckled wryly, holding out a hand. Danny took it without thinking.
“You- I have to ask about the daughter thing later, but- you know I understand keeping secrets, right? I’m a not-dead vigilante.”
Breathing out a sigh of relief, Danny took the chair Dani had vacated, scooting it close enough to Jason to rest his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder, fingers intertwining.
“How did you know? To come help, that is.”
Danny frowned a little, glad Jason couldn’t see his face.
“Phantom. She- she called for me. I didn’t even know she was here, but I heard her. I would have ripped a hole in the fabric of reality to save her.”
Jason shifted a little under him.
“She’s that important to you?”
“Phantom is the last person I have left from home.”
“Oh.”
Danny let the silence wash over him and tried to keep his nerves under wraps.
Dani could be the breaking point between him and Jason, and he didn’t know if he could handle that.
“Hey Danny?”
“Hm?”
“I thought about this during the battle, but that doesn’t mean I don’t mean it sincerely and truly. I thought if I made it out alive, I’d ask you- will you marry me?”
Danny sat up again, eyes wide as he took in Jason’s face. It was his sincere face, the one he only made when he meant something sappy.
“There’s a ring in a secret compartment at my apartment- I don’t exactly carry it with me to high-stakes missions, but- I want this.”
Feeling tears well up in his eyes, Danny brought the hand that wasn’t holding Jason’s up to wipe a bit of soot off his fiance’s face.
“Me too. I want it too.”
They shared a chaste kiss, surrounded by the unconscious forms of the Justice League, as Dani’s snoring filled the medbay.
~~~
“Oh crap.”
Jason looked up from the report he was writing for an unamused Bruce to where his fiance was doing the same.
“Something wrong?”
Danny looked up at him with wide eyes.
“I forgot to feed Yinsen’s cat before I left!”

The JSE D&D AU Pantheon
The Ever-Gazing One
Other names: The Ever-Gaze, The World's Visage
At the dawn of the ages over this realm, there was only The Ever-Gazing One. It was he who began the forward march of time, the outward flow of space, and the rise of life from the ground. The first races of this realm were naturally peace-loving– even those races with the innate forces of chaos and evil in their blood had their place, for everybody was seen as having value to the Ever-Gaze.
Over time, some began to question the Ever-Gazing One. They wondered how their creator could possibly understand the struggles of mortality from his pedestal in the beyond.
In response, the Ever-Gaze created five more deities to rule alongside himself– the Champion, the Magnificent, the Lifebringer, the Sharpshooter, and the Wayfarer– and imbued each one with the power of being able to walk among the mortals so that they, too, could understand their strife and be divine messengers.
However, this did not please everybody. Some of the folk who had originally questioned the Ever-Gazing One were not satisfied, and thus placed their faith elsewhere. Their collective will created That Which Observes, an opposite entity to the Ever-Gaze who promised them power in thanks for bringing it to life…
Cleric Divine Domains: Life, Light, Order Paladin Oaths that would suit this deity: Oath of Devotion, Oath of Redemption, Oath of the Watchers Warlock pacts that would suit this deity: The Celestial
That Which Observes
Other names: The Corrupting Blade, The Master of Puppets
Those who had turned from the Ever-Gazing One placed their faith in a new deity of their own creation, which they called That Which Observes. They pictured this entity as an opposite to the Ever-Gaze; where the first had light, the other darkness– and where the first had weakness, the other, immense power. Followers of That Which Observes claim they have prophetic dreams that would seem like nightmares to common folk– but instead of fear, they embrace their own strength and the strength of their new god.
Interpretations of That Which Observes vary as widely as the power it is said to wield. As eras have passed, the tale of its creation has been morphed to fit various definitions; over time, this anti-deity has gone from being a fiend to a ghost to a mere feeling and back again. But one thing remains consistent in all the tales: That Which Observes is a master of the shortblade, it being a weapon of mass corruption able to strike down even the gods themselves…
Cleric Divine Domains: Death, Trickery Paladin Oaths that would suit this deity: Oath of Conquest, Oath of Vengeance Warlock Pacts that would suit this deity: The Fiend, The Great Old One, The Hexblade, The Undead
The Champion
Other names: The Hero, The Mighty Fist of Justice
The Champion was the eldest of the five deities that the Ever-Gazing One manifested for his people. He was known to lean towards methods of chaos, but also goodness and light; he wouldn't stand for tyranny of any kind, and ventures created in his name were often emboldened by his blessing, so long as they met with his approval.
Soldiers would regularly invoke the Champion's name during times of war against dark forces, such as those who followed That Which Observes. In tales of ages past, he was known as the Ever-Gaze's right hand, and the one who would strike down the forces of darkness and injustice…
Cleric Divine Domains: Forge, Light, Tempest, War Paladin Oaths that would suit this deity: Oath of Glory, Oath of the Watchers Warlock Pacts that would suit this deity: None
The Magnificent
Other names: The Arcane Artist, The Phoenix
The second eldest of the Ever-Gaze's deity-creations, the Magnificent has long been known to be a patron of magic as well as the arts. In every interaction with the other gods, he left his mark with a certain flourish and grace, and in many depictions, he is shown as having a cape made of the entire night sky and dancing around all of existence in a single day. Because of this, the christening of many theatres, museums, and places of magical study begins with a ceremony in the name of the Magnificent.
Despite being overally benevolent, not all folk followed the Magnificent, or believed he had good intentions. These people claimed that those who followed this deity were often led astray into darkness, never to return– and this belief was not entirely unfounded. Many who invoked the Magnificent did so in the name of curiosity for the arcane, which often drew people to the shadows, and often into the sight of That Which Observes...
Cleric Divine Domains: Arcana, Twilight Paladin Oaths that would suit this deity: Oath of the Ancients Warlock Pacts that would suit this deity: The Archfey
The Lifebringer
Other names: The Giving Hand, The Judge
As neither the eldest nor the youngest of the Ever-Gaze's creations, the Lifebringer was often shown and spoken of as having a strange duality. For every person who believed him to be benevolent and merciful, there was another who saw him as ruthless and unforgiving. As a result of this, there are clerics of equal numbers on either side of this dichotomy– and the Lifebringer makes no claims to having one be truer than the other. Regardless, whether the mortals welcomed a new life into their world or lost a loved one, they would invoke the name of the Lifebringer, either to ensure a long and prosperous life or to pray that the afterlife would be welcoming to them.
Despite all of his spiritual implications, many artificers and apothecaries would call upon the Lifebringer to bless their latest studies or patients, for he was also a patron of creation and the sciences. As a result, several places of higher learning would hold special events in his name to ask for his blessing of the educational year.
Cleric Divine Domains: Light, Life, Grave Paladin Oaths that would suit this deity: Oath of Redemption Warlock Pacts that would suit this deity: None
The Sharpshooter
Other names: The Marksman, He Who Sees True
The second youngest of those the Ever-Gazing One created to rule alongside himself, the Sharpshooter was both the patron of familial ties and of bonds of friendship. As groups of adventurers would set out for the first time, many would pray to the Sharpshooter for his blessing over the party and their growth together. Beyond that, he was also the deity known to be a guardian of nature and patron of the hunt; whenever his faithful would successfully bring home their next meal, they gave thanks to the Sharpshooter for its life.
As this deity was naturally good-aligned, many would also invoke his name in a plea for luck and good fortune. Popular sayings for those who would do this would often bid the recipient "the true aim of the Sharpshooter", so that they might get the most favorable result.
Cleric Divine Domains: Life, Nature, Peace Paladin Oaths that would suit this deity: Oath of the Ancients, Oath of Redemption Warlock Pacts that would suit this deity: None
The Wayfarer
Other names: The Traveler, The Hand of Fate
The Wayfarer was the youngest of the deities of the Ever-Gaze, but was still given a task that proved to be of great importance; he was to keep watch over time itself, and to make sure that everything which had a beginning also earned its rightful end. Matters of diplomacy often began with the invocation of the Wayfarer so that he might bless both parties with lasting peace.
His position over time itself left him with an overally neutral outlook; while he leaned more towards goodness in his actions, he understood that sometimes evil was necessary to bring it about. This caused a lot of people to question those of his faith of how they could be so certain of future events, and even led to some falsely claiming that they could call upon the Wayfarer's own power over fate in order to perform the impossible– but true clerics of the deity knew better than to meddle with things beyond their control; everything would sort itself out with time, after all.
Cleric Divine Domains: Knowledge, Order Paladin Oaths that would suit this deity: Oath of the Watchers Warlock Pacts that would suit this deity: None

Following the police killing of George Floyd in the US, the Black Lives Matter movement was largely imported into Britain, with a rapid expansion of our own grievance industrial-complex. This disastrous superstructure peddled the myth that the UK’s social, political, and economic systems are deliberately rigged against racial and ethnic minorities. This form of aggressive racial identity politics from the US – a comparatively youthful country struggling to get to grips with the legacy of slavery on its own soil and recent forms of segregation – fundamentally undermined the credibility of the British anti-racist cause.
I issued a warning over this in an article for this paper back in June 2020. Promoting the concept of “white privilege” – in a country where some of the most materially-deprived and culturally marginalised communities predominantly belong to that race – was always going to lead to awful outcomes. Yet public-sector organisations such as the BBC and the NHS, two woefully underperforming behemoths funded by the British taxpayer, time and again provided a platform for pro-BLM radical activists to pour scorn on one of the most tolerant, anti-discriminatory and pro-equality countries on the planet.
BLM-mania also saw a flurry of corporations taking the opportunity to deflect attention away from their own business practices by jumping on supposedly virtuous causes of “racial justice”. Across a variety of sectors, a class of DEI “professionals” was ushered in – often as unproductive as they are divisive. Companies announced a range of costly initiatives, donations and hiring sprees, with little scrutiny.
In mainstream politics, we were greeted to a cringeworthy image of Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and his deputy Angela Rayner “taking the knee” for a social movement that says it cares about young black lives but rarely flags the impact of gang-related knife crime in London. Labour MP Dawn Butler, no stranger to inflammatory language, weaponised Floyd’s death by calling for the Tory government to get its “knee off the neck of the Black, African Caribbean, Asian and minority ethnic community” in a House of Commons statement. All of this was a national embarrassment.
Now, though, we seem finally to have come to our senses – and the BLM movement has been thoroughly discredited. Like many identitarian causes which are full-to-the-brim with rank opportunists, it has suffered from high-profile cases of fraud. In the UK, this includes Xahra Saleem – a high profile BLM activist. She was sentenced to two and a half years after it was found that she used her profile to raise money for young people in the St Paul’s area of Bristol and then spent it on herself. The judge said that money was used “not for their benefit but for your own, funding a lifestyle for yourself that you could not otherwise have afforded”.
The prosecution said that, in the 15 months to September 2021, there were more than 2,500 payments made from Saleem’s account which included general shopping and bills, plus a new iPhone, hair and beauty appointments, clothes stores, Amazon purchases, taxis and takeaways.
Lessons must be taken on board from the era of BLM-mania. Attempts to coerce the wider public into believing that Britain should be ashamed of its history and appalled with its record on race relations should never be tolerated again. Because for all its flaws, Britain has contributed a magnificent amount to the advancement of humankind – and like many of my compatriots spanning a wealth of backgrounds, I am proud to call it home.
