lol some Jabitha shippers are being way too weird right now like "this episode made Jughead look so bad. I hope he doesn’t cheat on her emotionally or anything. As a BH; you are an hypocrite if you root for this". I’m sorry. What episode did you just watched? He couldn’t control those memories from happening. And it’s also normal for him too feel confused and taken after he just opened a box of memories when reading Betty’s mind. The only thing bad would be if he continues having these memories and feelings and doesn’t say anything OR acts actively on them. That would be cheating. If this keeps happening or if he isn’t longer sure of what he wants in his romantic life the only thing to except from this is that he is honest with Tabitha and they break up like adults, which is most likely what will happen. As a BH I enjoyed this episode and if your first thought is going "he better not cheat!!" is like, you are being so weird, coming up with this conclusion at random.

also that sounds like them. telling people what to do with the fiction they consume or how to have fun with it. the only reason they care is because if jughead loves betty, it's over for them.

I'm so tired of this idea that certain ships desperately need to be explored. No, they don't. We don't need a dozen iterations of the same shit that always ends the same way. It's so, so boring to watch vanilla BA do nothing but fuck, talk about their childhood and fail to connect beyond a surface level even as friends.

honestly, if i were a shipper i'd be mad that they keep telling me they're supposedly great friends but they never show that to me. they didn't even take the time to show it in rivervale where we all got messages for weeks about how they were going to have a baby, get married, and be oh so happy together.

like??? this is what they thought was going to happen and they got what they got. it's like if the show has a chance to do that ship dirty, it always will. and you're right, that's all they do.😭 they get physical because they have nothing real to talk about, they make a throwback comment to remind the audience that they've known each other since they were kids, and then they either do nothing together or one of them has to be put into the other's plot just to get them in the same room.

it makes sense that they're counting on writers or interviews filled with vague information instead of what they see onscreen. or their weird thing with comparing b/a to whatever endgame ship they think fits best in the moment. especially since most of them don't get archetypes anyways so it's like watching baby giraffes walk for the first time when they send me their essays on shows that were on before they were born.

they actually turned that subtext into text on the show and then decided to do it again? wild. lazy for sure. but also wildly convenient.

i feel like veronica and reggie already had these issues when they sort of dated in high school so it's just another redux. and again, oddly convenient.

they really said no honeymoon period for them, didn't they? but yeah, they don't really seem compatible long term. bughead fights were ugly for sure when they happened but that was because they weren't putting band-aids on them, they were dealing with the issue. even when one of them walked away, it always ended with communication and movement forward. i don't think, in the end, that they understand each other at all. have an idea of the other? sure. but i doubt that's enough to really make it in riverdale.

hello! first, you're very sweet to be worried about what to bring but i promise you, yourself is enough. and second, if you want to bring food or a dessert, that would 100% be more than enough. no one is going to expect anything except your lovely company.

i have my exchange students make a traditional dish/dessert from their country so we can all share in the different ways we all do things so maybe making something special to you would be an option?💜

A lot of BH shippers have now showed the hidden hatred and misogyny towards Betty now that they think "there’s a better choice for Jughead" and i feel like they were waiting for it to come out and honestly, if you don’t think Betty is still "good enough" because apparently can’t be worried about other aspects of her life instated of Jughead right now, like, it’s better if they unstable because the essays on why 'Jabitha is better" are borderline telling.

are they bughead shippers tho? are they really? 

there’s a lot to be said for people who just like betty when jughead does. we all know that right? and there’s people that stick stuff in bughead tags because it gets more attention being the most popular ship? i think we’re all aware of that, aren’t we? are there people willing to nuke their follower count by coming out as anti-bughead instead of just trying to make giant essays on why bughead is now bad? do people think that other people who’ve shipped bughead for 4+ years now are just going to go, well, that’s done, guess this rando on the tumblr was right all along, i’m so glad i decided to let them think for me and not for myself. 

how and why is betty supposed to be omnipresent enough to know what jughead is doing every second of the day? should she not celebrate the twins’ birthday with her family? should she sit in a booth at pop’s and just wait for him to talk to her? should she not handle her own business? they want her to handle everything but also only handle jughead? make it make sense. 

just say you don’t like bughead and go. if you really love j/abitha, those followers will find you and the people who love bughead for both betty and jughead can unfollow.

The new anti narrative is that showing Jughead being such a good legitimate friend to Betty is setting them up as the ultimate FRIENDGAME. Tab is going to be his destiny romantically, but he and Betty will have the most epic friendship ever. 🙃

so, let me get this straight, when it’s betty and archie being friends, it’s an “epic slow burn” and they’re going to totally disregard 4 seasons of bughead history to make j/abitha happen as endgame with a supporting character this late in the game? and varchie is gonna be endgame? so betty, what? ends up alone? 

they really think that’s more likely than some plot devices and a reconciliation? 

i hope the straws they’re grasping at are at least the reusable kind.
