So it’s been a week since Jonny and Simone posted the Kanthony reunion story and it has been crickets from the official Bridgerton account. That just tells me that JB and Simone decided to post that on their own without official PR push otherwise the official account would have posted at least something about it.

The annoying thing is Polio idiots saying "See she's finally getting promo" Like what??? I don't even count that as PR because that's supposed be the main Bridgerton account's job, its not on the actors to post that and be treated like PR. If anything Film Updates for doing it for them. But it coming from Jimone is just bonus content.

Also fuck the Bridgerton team, they only love reposting Polio and other useless games with fans and completely ignore their leads. I'm glad Phoebe unfollowed them and I hope once Jimone leave, they bounce too.

i find it hilarious on a video from like S3 the cast was talking about jordayla and some in the comments saying jordayla will break up at the end of s5 and now their engaged lol and jimone will get back together yeah no lol sorry but jimone happened way too fast imo like how he was suddenly in love with her after two episodes then they got married after a couple months of dating it was never going to last lol jordayla had more buildup in s4 to a relationship than jimone ever did and yeah jordayla could breakup or something but imo they are endgame and nothing's changing my mind lol spelivia is endgame too and I just don't see jimone getting back together lol

Timeline it: this season started at Christmas. Valentines day Jordayla got together officially. Before spring break they are saying I love you. 1 month. Right before summer ENGAGED. Jordan did the same thing with Simone. A few months of dating. Marry me. With Layla, we’re too perfect for each other. With Simone, I was lucky. I met my soulmate early. The next girl he sees at a walmart, the universe brought as together.

the way i was so anti jordayla proposal when they showed that promo with the ring and i was so convinced that he wasn’t going to be the one to propose. bc...where are they going? but then jordan got down on one knee and suddenly, it made all the sense in the world. jordan and layla have the luxury of having their life (career wise at least) planned out. she’s doing her record label and he’s trying to play in the nfl. oftentime, ppl delay marriage bc they have to figure their education and career out first to become financially stable. but jordan and layla are able to bypass that. and once he realized that layla is the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with, he knew that his future will always be with her (ergo the proposal). and it’s such a stark difference from jimone. mainly the fact that they didnt even get a proposal. it was just a random idea they had and decided to run along with it. but also, jimone’s wedding was a plot device to push spencer and liv to finally come face to face with how they felt romantically about each other (for God’s sake, jordan was playing devil’s advocate about why they shouldn’t get married). but with his proposal to Layla, it was clearly planned and thought out. he had time to get an engagement ring, get her ring size and plan a whole thing with fireworks. jordan did not go into their proposal impulsively (granted, it was accelerated because jj found the ring). but he knew, with everything in him, that he wanted to marry layla. additionally, losing billy gave jordan a new perspective on life. no longer does he move with the assumption that he will always have time to do something later at a different time. one minute billy was here and the next, he was gone. he doesn’t have that arrogant belief that there will always be a future bc quite honestly, he doesn’t know if that future will be there waiting for him. he sees himself spending the rest of his life with layla. why wait?

layla accepting his proposal honestly solidified everything for me tho. bc layla is smart. she is grounded, the most mature out of the whole friend group and she doesn’t do anything she doesn’t think she’ll succeed in. layla choosing to marry jordan tells me how strong their relationship is and how much she believes they’ll be able to be successful as a married couple. 

im excited for s6 and the potential challenges they might face (but i do expect a long engagement from them tho).

i think fanon jimon from what ive seen is kind of fun (provided you completely erase jace's actual personality and make up some new thing, which is what i do with clary lol) but i just can't get past what happened in canon, like... with clary i ship clizzy and all cuz they did in fact have chemistry and a good story there, so i feel compelled to pretend that she wasn't terrible sometimes, but jace's canon dynamic with simon was never appealing to me, it was actually gross af, so i just can't get past it cuz there is no appeal that would make me go "okay, i'm just gonna erase 90% of the shit i've seen here"u know

like jace was straight up racist and an ass and a bully to simon and i can't look past that and be like "well but what if jace was different couldn't there be some kind of fun bitch/jerk kinda dynamics" u know what i mean. simon is far from my fave character but he deserves better daoduhsasdhas

See I knew this bullshit would happen - they would use Jimone as a draw for S3 but then completely sideline them in the actual season, of course it’s already happening. You won’t cry divorce. You love that wife. I also loathe Jalec, Jimon, etc. Any Jace related fannon ship with another guy. The character is messy with no growth. The actor already showed his true feelings. Nope. Full of disgust. It is so bad I can’t stand Jace x Maia. They have real chemistry jut like Simon x Maia.

I do love my wife. She’s just mean to me.

But yeah, anything with Jace can fuck off. Like before Dom truly showed his colors I had posted saying that being with Maia made Jace more attractive and likable for me- not a lot cause that boy is fugly and had already started showing his homophobic ass- but now not even that is true. Lol.

Unpopular opinions

As much as I love representation in the media and I applaud Shadowhunters for giving us gay, bi and ace reps in Alec, Magnus and Raphael respectively, the fandom takes it to an extreme

I was fine with the whole 'Simon could be pan' because there isn't that rep in the media and it's key to give everyone their representation.

But then people started shipping Clary with Izzy and Maia. Izzy shipped with Lydia on top of that. Jace with Simon, Alec and Magnus.

It's getting too much. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, this oversaturation is really uncomfortable to see

Representation is important, but too much is extremely overwhelming and sadly I am blaming the fandom for doing this
