Ok but the parallel of Gamora being a scared little girl on a planet that was crumbling and was being invaded by a cosmic fascist who killed half the people and kidnapped her from her family, raising her as his own and grooming her to be his weapon in his further fascist conquests
And Loki… being a scared little boy on a planet that was crumbling and was being invaded by a cosmic imperialist who killed half the people and kidnapped him from his family, raising him as his own and grooming him to be his weapon in his further imperial conquests.

Alright, whoever the writer (s) on the MCU What If staff is who is willing to portray Odin as the villain he is, and sympathizes with his children/victims, I would very much like to buy them a drink! I seriously doubt this will ever happen in the main timeline, but it’s nice to see that it happened somewhere.

Thor was shown all arrogant in the beginning of Thor 1 and people always talk about it but none of them mention how Thor humbled down the very moment and looked like a kicked puppy when Odin yelled at him that he has betrayed his loved ones.
Thor's arrogance was mostly bc of him trying to live up to all the expectations that was put upon him from the start, crown prince Thor, heir to the throne, protector of all the realms, big brother Thor. Thor can't be weak, Thor can't be nervous, Thor has to set an example before everyone.
I don't even think that Thor considered loki lesser than him, for him Loki was his equal.
Loki thought Thor was getting more attention from Odin when his brother was getting burdened with more responsibilities and duties while Loki either studies or engaged in mischief for most of the time. Sad
YES!!!! “kicked puppy” is how i always describe thor in that scene 😭 the thing about thor, even when he is being arrogant and impulsive, is that he never acts with any real malice. he was pissed at the jotuns for interrupting his coronation, and it was petty, yes, but like…enemies of the throne attacked their weapons vault in broad daylight? thor was not wrong in saying that it was an act of war. it was. and you’re RIGHT. as soon as odin starts yelling thor realizes that his actions were rash and fueled by anger and confusion and he literally starts crying when odin tells him that he had betrayed his loved ones and friends. “you cannot even protect your friends, how can you hope to protect a kingdom?”
and YEAH !!! every single time thor expresses any kind of ambition or rage, he immediately turns to odin for reassurance. “just as you did father” when he’s a kid to “just as they feared you” to “let‘s finish them together!!” right in the heat of battle. thor literally just wants odin’s approval
and no, thor definitely does not see loki as lesser than himself. loki is quite literally the only one who is ever actually able to talk sense into thor. thor seeks council from loki and loves him so fucking much
yeah :/ it’s kind of a classic miscommunication. loki wants what thor has (odin’s attention) and thor wants what loki has (odin’s lack of attention) and neither of them realize they’d be better off without their father anywhere near them

Thor is just the story of someone who spent their life abused, getting revenge on their abusers and honestly I have no sympathy for the house of Odin.

I think we should let loki be pissed at what his idiot brother said as a child. And thor be pissed. Wouldn't anyone with siblings agree?
THOR WAS LIKE EIGHT????????????
Wholeheartedly, with every fiber of my being, the responsibility of making sure your kid thinks genocide is bad goes on the parents at that age. Thor was not at an age where he would understand that was bad. HE WAS LIKE EIGHT. Loki holding an eight year old accountable when hes an adult is absolutely wild.
Blame needs to be placed wholey on Frigga and Odin for allowing generational racism against the frost giants to continue when they knew their son was Jotun and they just didn't care.

Idk how to feel. I prefer the loki who died in infinity war who DIDN'T hate thor
totally agree! ragnarok/iw loki is one of my favourite characters of all time
i think with the way he developed in season 1 and 2, that if he were faced with thor now he would never hate him. it’s all just a ruse, much like a lot of things loki does, because of his insecurity and his coping mechanism of pushing everyone away.
look how he was with sylvie in the end (minus the incest) - he just wanted her to be okay because he could see she was hurting, much like he had been for so many years of his life.
odin was shitty to loki AND thor, and i think they were both just trying to co-exist with each other while they were hurting and ended up taking things out on each other, which one of the reasons loki “resents” him. but even from ep 1 of loki when he’s watching his life back, we can see how much he loves thor.
i think that s2 loki, someone who admitted he wants his friends back and doesn’t want to be alone, would kill to see thor again and get back all of the time they lost because of what other people’s abuse did to them… and when that day comes i WILL pass away

Anti Gnosticism and anti Odin Lokeanism have similarities.
Odin and his followers hated literal children and condemned them as evil and trapped and abused them. They did this to Hel, Jormangandr, and Fenrir. They did this because they wanted to maintain power.
The “true” god and his followers hated a literal child and condemned him as evil and Sophia, the child’s mother, trapped and abused him. This child is Yaldabaoth. They did this because the “true” god wanted to have ultimate control over the eons’ reproduction.
Hel, Jormangandr, and Fenrir will be key players in creating a new world free from Odin and his allies and their tyranny.
Yaldabaoth created a new world free from the “true” god and his eons and their tyranny.
Hel, Fenrir, and Jormangandr are seen as evil demonic monsters by worshippers of Odin while Odin is seen as a wise, powerful, benevolent deity.
Yaldabaoath is seen as an evil demonic monster by the worshippers of the “true” god, while the “true” god is seen as a wise, powerful, benevolent deity.
Hel, Fenrir, and Jormangandr are less powerful than Odin in terms of sheer brute force, but they will still win against him.
Yaldabaoth is less powerful than the “true” god in terms of sheer brute force but I am confident that he’ll win against the “true” god.
Hel, Jormangandr, and Fenrir are nature deities tied with an animistic religion that worships nature. They also play a part in restoring nature after the forces of supremacy, hierarchy, and greed destroy it.
Yaldabaoath is also tied with nature, as he lovingly created it. And he saw that it was good.

How Taika Waititi Ruined Thor
Tumblr media
[This essay talks negatively about director Taika Waititi and his Thor films. Please don’t read if you happen to enjoy them.
Despite my best efforts, this post is 10,343 words long. Here is a table of contents for ease:
1. INTRODUCTION 2. CHARACTER – Personality – Funny nature – The way he talks – The way he operates – Power ups – Agency – Side note in ‘agency’: shirtless scenes 3. RELATIONSHIPS – His father – Odin – His love – Jane – Supporting characters – Weapons 4. HIS STORY – Character arc – His way forward – Torture p*rn 5. APPEARANCE – The ugly suit in Thor4 – Shabby AF casual clothes – Gouged out eye – Stripped fOr FuN 6. WEB OF LIES 7. CONCLUSION ]
Despite Thor: Ragnarok (2017) (Thor3) introducing a complete change of tone for the Thor franchise, the mainstream media has decided it was only ever received positively by 100% of the audience. Not a ‘divisive’ or even a ‘generally favored’, but a ‘unanimously loved’ tag was given to this movie and its director Taika Waititi for “saving Thor”.
You have to wonder who were those people who went to the theatres for the first two films if this film saved the franchise because they were both hits. But seeing as I’m the non-existent 0% of the population that doesn’t echo that sentiment of the media, I decided to shed light on how Taika Waititi didn’t save him, but actually ruined, destroyed, and annihilated Thor in every way possible.
CHARACTER
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: there is nothing wrong with Thor being funny, as long as it isn’t at the expense of his character. And now you know why I’m writing this thesis.

A possibility we don’t talk about enough: Laufey loved Loki (& didn’t actually abandon him) and Odin (via centuries of grooming) tricked Loki into killing his own father for him.

Valhalla is not heaven, and other reasons fascists are dumb dumbs.
The utterly, bewildering, so funny it's depressing thing about neo n@z1s and blanc enthusiasts being so fucking quick to appropriate Norse iconography as a symbol of their "proud heritage" is that they consistently demonstrate a grasp on Norse Mythology as deep as the Marvel Cinematic Universe does. Not a dig on the MCU, but, let's just say creative liberties is an understatement when it comes to representing Norse Mythology.
The primary point of interest boils down basically to the concept of the "exhalted warrior death." As fascism is the ideology of hero worship, on a surface level, this makes sense. Old Norse Culture was one largely defined by conflict and vikinging as a trade.
Many Norse beliefs are shaped by, designed to inspire and exhalt the warrior who fights without fear. Their society in part relied on "the hero warrior."
Couple things though:
1. Not all Norsemen were vikings, and you REALLY aren't one.
You think the Norse belief system was so heavily lazer focused on a single profession in what needed to be an entire functioning community everyone that wasn't a viking was poopooed to damnation and/or a dishonorable life? No bitch. "Hel" in Norse mythology is just where the dead ARE. It's a very morally neutral place to be. Hel be vibin'. Odin, Freya, and possibly Njord were collecting souls for a very specific reason. That being . . .
2. The souls of warriors were being brought to Valhalla (among other places) to train for a final battle THEY WERE DESTINED TO LOSE.
Y'all fucking forgot about Ragnorok didn't you? The souls in Valhalla are being conscripted to a suicide mission. It's a place of honor to be chosen, but it's not a reward.
The training is apparently honestly a bitch in a half in it of itself supposedly. I guess you get god mead, though. Sit next to Odin at the big boy table, maybe. An afterlife of pain and awaiting doom for beer and for daddy to notice you.
That's the thing, though. Valhalla isn't supposed to be Heaven. It aligns with many other Norse Myths in that it exhalts to bravery in the face of certain annihilation. Valhalla as a function of beleif designed to psychologically break past the human instinct to prioritize self-preservation. The quality in which it exhalts is not the hero's death, but embracing doom. THAT'S WHY Odin chose warriors who died WITH WEAPON IN HAND, as in, they already faced one destruction, they can face another.
The army of Valhalla weren't even the only deaths of honor Odin recognized one could achieve. The Volva were all very much in Hel once they died, and they are all distinguished as Odin's special little future-seeing squad in the mythos too. And that's JUST Odin, ignoring the other gods who chose souls for their armies.
Norse mythology, ironically to the point of head-exploading farce, spits in the face of the concept of the Hero's Death as defined by fascism. "Dying for the cause" is a Christian/Abrahamic value that they are retroactively interjecting into Norse belief because historical self-insert fanfiction that is the Arian Mythos. There's no fucking point in training and fighting in Ragnorok, everyone is destined to fail, everyone knows it, and that's the fucking point.
The concept of Ragnorok and Valhalla was not even universal among the Norsemen. The inevitability of death and rebirth is just kind of a given as a natural truth in most pagan beliefs. Everyone you know and love is going to die, and then something else will come from the ashes. Literally "chill bro it be like that sometimes."
And if that's not enough to convince you fascists don't actually know shit about Norse mythology, I can tell you all about how fucking gay it is.

I kinda see a similarity between these two trios.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The father who thinks he is better than everyone and is a huge brat mistreating people who are different from him and what he values. Both die at some point in the story.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The son who looks a lot like the father and is a lot like him but only a bit of a brat. During the story he grows up and matures and is no longer a brat at all. He starts to really care about the black haired guy and understands his pain. He sometimes wears clothes with red and gold.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The black haired with a black/ green aesthetic who has a different background/origin from the father and always got treated bad by him (only diference James was not Snapes father figure) He also got neglected by his biological father. As a result he became cold and did some very bad things including working with the big bad villain of the whole series. He cares very deeply about the wife of the father and was completely devastated when she died and helped protect the one thing she died for. In the end he gets killed by the big bad villain protecting the son.
---
We also have some similarities between Frigga and Lily. But I would say unlike Lily Frigga never stoped caring for and protecting the black haired guy despited all the bad things he did.

Hey, from the divination work that you do, regarding Jensen, I will be honest with you, I get the feeling there's a lot of leeches around him, people who only want to use his fame and popularity for their own personal gain, I started to follow Jensen because of The Boys, and in such a short time, I'm feeling such creepy vibes from misha, is that just me being critical about him or he is a leech, an opportunist using Jensen?
Hello Anon, thank you for the ask. My guides don't talk about Misha all that much but they have mentioned him recently. Someone sent me a video of Misha and Jared almost getting into a fight backstage apparently after Misha kissed Jensen onstage. Not sure when that video was from (did end up finding one from 2014) but it is possible that Jensen simply played it cool and "acted" more happy onstage afterwards but was actually uncomfortable with it. Odin did say "Misha is a little p*ssy a** b*tch period" when I asked about that backstage video. My guides did tell me also that he is borderline as far as being redeemed versus condemned. I will say that his redemption is a very interesting one...
From what I know about Misha, he's lied about being poor growing up, tends to feed into the "heller" side of the fandom, etc. all for attention. He's had to come out straight at one point, and essentially seems to flip flop even his own so called sexuality to appease to whatever crowd he feels will get him the most time in the spotlight. Your instincts are correct that Misha is a leech and an opportunist, and also that there's many people surrounding Jensen who have ulterior motives. Jensen unfortunately has very few people he can count as true friends from what Odin and Hermes along with other deities have told me...
