My parents were not nice and didn't handle having a disabled child even remotely well, and even tho things are better between us now I still doubt their claims of unconditional love for me,

But at the very least they cared enough about me to vaccinate me against measles

tfw your mom suddenly suggests you don't get the newest covid booster because people are having "bad reactions" to it and it's ~not very effective~ so you look into it and can't find anything whatsoever to back that up so you ask "hey where did you hear that? cause i looked into it and only found that it had the same rare side effects as each previous vaccine and they're actually even more effective against current strains at preventing sickness, hospitalization, and death than previous doses" and then she just doesn't respond to you 🥲
