so, i was gonna edit and produce a whole video compiling lots of anti C//A analysis/posts here from tumblr (giving proper credits on the video and description to the original posters) and also my own analysis to post on youtube, however the video has almost 8 minutes already and there's only half a tumblr post there... 😭 i shall make a separate video for each post cuz omg that video will be 1 hour long if i try to compile everything into it, but I'm not sure what would be best.

These two anti Glimmadora Stan(@anti-glimmadora-receipts and @adoradeservesbetter) who treat Catradora like a Devine religion is an example of C//A Stans with a cult mentality and mindset along with a toxic MAGA behavior. Catra stans are the most unhinged fans of the fandom. Toxic fandoms are the absolute worst, she ra is getting worse by the day. Netflix She-Ra was a bad show, is dead and deserves to be. The show's fanbase is disgusting and toxic. She-ras fandom is toxic and they don’t know it. It’s almost as if they have some emotional attachment to the ship that’s very unhealthy and gets to the point where they cannot stand the thought of someone disagreeing with them. That’s right I am here to say that Catra Stans/Fan, Catradora Stans/Fans, the entire Nu-She-Ra fandom and ND Stevenson have the mindset of Donald Trump and his MAGA Trump cult. Catra Stans/Fan, Catradora Stans/Fans, the entire Nu-She-Ra fandom, ND Stevenson Donald Trump and his MAGA Trump cult are ableist, toxic, bigoted, ignorant and narcissistic. Catra Stans/Fan, Catradora Stans/Fans, the entire Nu-She-Ra fandom and ND Stevenson are no different than Donald Trump and his MAGA Trump cult, and Horde Prime. Since you've explained why you don't ship KyoSaya, I think you should explain why you don't like MadoHomu as well, to even the odds.

For better context, here's the old ask where I explain why I don't ship KyouSaya.

My pet peeve with MadoHomu is that 99% of the fandom isn't creeped out by it, specially after The Rebellion Story. There's a huge lack of nuance, and it's worrisome IMO.

Like, a majority of people have this black-and-white view of gay people; they think that by being a marginalized minority, any sort of morally reprehensible behaviour that they display is justified. Many people have this romanticized view of gay people in media, and sees them as pure, innocent and sinless saints that cannot do anything wrong, and if they do wrong, it's because the others had it coming and have only themsleves to blame.

And it's not just gay people; any other minority has been flanderized by the media at some point in their lives.

It's basically the same issue that I have with RosePearl (Steven Universe) and Catradora (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power).

May I remind you that these two are MASTER AND SLAVE, and I think I don't need to explain how fucked up this is.

These ships are all kinds of manipulative and abusive, but both the fandom and the staff don't see it; everything is shamelessly romanticized and seen as beautiful, like a "Love Conquers All" kinda thing. And in Madoka Magica, this is no exception.

Homura has rewritten the universe just so she could be with Madoka, and she actively manipulates everyone's memories just so her personal utopia can remain intact.

"But, wait!", I hear you all cry, "Mami, Nagisa, Kyouko and Sayaka can all live normal lives and be happy, and Kyuubey is paying for their crimes! Isn't that great? Shouldn't we be happy for them?"

Yes and no. Yes, because we get to see Kyuubey suffer; Incubator abuse is always welcome on this here blog. No, because Homura thinks of the other girls (minus Madoka, of course) as afterthoughts as heavily implied in her confront with Sayaka: "All I took was a tiny piece of it [The Law of Cycles]. Just the records of the person that Madoka was before she ceased to exist. Somehow, all of you wound up being pulled in as well. And it seems you can't return to wherever you were before."

And after that, she messes with Sayaka's memories a bit more, so she can't do anything about it, and says this: "We should pretend to be friendly in daily life. If you're confrontational all the time, even she [Madoka] may dislike you."

And speaking of Madoka, it's weird how she is titular character of the original series, and yet no one considers how she feels about Homura's decision. And if you want my honest opinion, I don't think she actually asked for any of this, as she has tried to alert Homura: "Homura-chan, don't! You'll rip me apart!"

To be honest, I don't think Homura sees Madoka as an equal, which it should be the standard for any relationship, romantic and/or otherwise. She created this whole fantasy where Madoka is the weak and helpless damsel in distress that constantly needs protection and saving.

There are even hints of uneasiness and hesitance in Madoka's voice in the second new world, specially when Homura asks her if she considers order important: "Well, I... um... I-I do treasure it. I guess I do think it's kind of bad to break rules becuase you feel like it."

If Madoka REALLY wanted to become mortal again, she wouldn't be so hesitant about it. I mean, she didn't hesitated when she wished for Witch metamorphosis to be erradicated (even though I strongly disapprove of the original ending).

And before I forget, the scenes of Homura's descent into madness had to be redone a second time, because Chiwa Saito's first takes were bordeline yandere. Coincidence? I think not.

"But how can you say it's all romanticized? The whole scene was indeed portrayed to be unsettling!", that is correct, however, the magazine scans and posters see no trouble with the ship:

Why does Madoka seems so helpless? And why does Homura looks so perverse? And why are these two 14yos so heavily sexualized in these? And why is no one freaked out by this?!

And also, I detect a teeny-tiny bit of queerbait in this ship, because during the NitroPlus Q&A panel in Animanga 2013, when Gen Urobuchi was asked if Homura was in love with Madoka, his answer was: "Probably." Noralities' video essay on Magical Girls and queerness touches upon this discrepancy under the Queerbaiting section.

The Rebellion Story had one job, and one job only: To provide fanservice, to please that other half of the audience that thought the original fates of the heroines were cruel and unfair, only for the plot-twist in the end to trample on it. Hell, MadoMagi wasn't supposed to have a third movie; Magia Quartet only came up with it just so SHAFT could keep on milking the cow.

Here's the thing, if you want to see gay relationships being more represented in media, you got to understand that they can be just as messy and complicated as straight relationships are, and they must be acknowledged with the seriousness and urgency that they deserve. Not every relationship is going to be a healthy one.

You know what I want to see in the fourth movie? I want to see Madoka be ANGRY at Homura, I want to see the Cinnamon Roll LASH OUT and TAKE NO PRISONERS. I want to see Homura being called out and her selfishness and I want to see them FIGHT. If this is the path we're taking, then fucking take it seriously, don't sugarcoat that shit.

But Urobuchi is returning for this movie as its writer, so it's best to not create expectations for it. When Urobutcher is at work, we all lose!

(It makes me wonder, though... are there any fanfics where Madoka and Homura fight? Because I'm really interested in reading some of them, since I don't have any high hopes for the movie...)

And last, but not least: Before anyone says that I hate Homura, I just wanna say that this is a lie. I don't hate her, I hate how the stans constantly claim that she hasn't done anything wrong. She DID. She did everything wrong, and then some!

Being gay and/or traumatized is NOT an excuse to do whatever you like. Consequences exist, and anyone, reguardless of origin, orientation/identity, moral alignment and etc., CAN, WILL and SHOULD face them.

We all have suffered and grieved at some point in our lives, and Little Miss "Existence Known As "Evil"" ain’t special. We don't call it a "Karmic Destiny" for nothing.

You're free to like villainous characters, just don't go coddling them like babies, as they are fully capable and aware of their cruelty, and will keep on testing how far they'll go.

Have some nuance. Please, that's all I ask.

The irony of a certain anti glimmadora

I find it ironic that theres an anti glimmadora that ships catradora. Now okay, that in general isnt ironic as long as you acknowledge your ship is toxic but heres the thing: they dont. I understand if they dont like glimmadora and they do have valid points of glimmer in s4 and how she treated adora which is one of the reasons why i am still disappointed in s5 for its underwheming pay off to adora and glimmers relationship downfall but its clear that they dont agree with the ship being toxic, saying that people who critique/slander the ship take the show out of context (which isnt true if you seen blogs like @anti-catradora-receipts, @adora-deserves-better along with many others on tumblr and tiktok that shows evidence as to why its toxic even in s5 with catras poorly written 'redemption') which i have to ask: Why be against a ship that was toxic in one season but not the ship that has been toxic for 4 seasons which you dont even acknowledge it is toxic (its still partly toxic in s5 too, were just going on the persons logic here) Is it because catra 'changed'? That could go for glimmer as well:

She apologised to both of her friends for her actions, specifically to adora that you acknowledged she abused her in s4 plus was back to being the supportive, kind hearted friend she was in s1-3 so how does that add up? Is it because of the stans? I understand stans/fans of something can ruin it although its not like catradora has nice stans/fans either. Yes, their are plenty of catradora fans/stans who are nice but theres also plenty of them that have been harassing/attacking anti catradoras, particularly @anticatradoraofficial who had to be inactive from the amount of attack/hate/harassment they got. Hell, she ra stans/fans can be toxic too such as in the early drama where new upcoming fans harrass someone on twitter for saying they dont like the new designs, assuming their like thequartering or that twitter drama in 2020 where an artist got harassed by she ra stans/fans for drawing 80s mermista, being accused of whitewashing. I seen someone whose pro glimbow yet they accuse people of racism for such dumb reasons that dont even have anything to do with race. Stans/fans of any kind can be toxic so it kinda doesnt add up. Maybe im wrong in all of this and im not stopping them, they have their opinions like i have mine, they wanna be anti glimmadora while being a catradora shipper? Cool, good for them. I just cant wrap my head around being against a ship yet ship something thats objectively worse, not even acknowledging its toxic too.

why is catradora sobad also what is catradora

Catradora is a ship of Catra and Adora from She-Ra and the Princess of Power (2018). Catra was the main villain of the show for 4 seasons out of 5 and she abused Adora both physically and emotionally (even since childhood when they were supposed to be friends). She gets a terribly written redemption arc and ends up with Adora. Her victim. It's like Dr*mione but 1000 times worse.

Speaking of the She Ra reboot, I really want to say that I honestly wish catadora isn’t a good relationship. If folks watched the show you’d see why.

Looking back at it, I really think that this quickly soon to be romantic relationship shouldn’t have been a thing for them. It was extremely unhealthy especially on Adora’s end.

Are we really going to forget that Catra has explicity stated that she wanted to control Adora and use her to hurt her friends and erradicate the rebellion?

Like, I feel that Catradora would've worked better as a cautionary tale, telling that sometimes gay relationships can be just as toxic and damaging as straight ones...

...but no, it's all okay just because it's gay. It doesn't matter if it's abusive or manipulative.

You've heard that right, folks; being gay (bonus points if you're traumatized!) is a Monopoly "Get Out Of Jail" card.

I know that I joke a lot about "be gay, do crimes", but everything has its limits.

And there's plenty of other transgressions that Catra has commited in the past, but I'll leave that to @anti-catradora-receipts, as they dedicate themselves to this topic, and are more knowledgable than I am (I've only watched the first season).

I find it funny that theres an anti catradora and anti glimmadora receipt account and you see the anti catradora one giving points of why its toxic/problematic and usually is quite kind and polite, contrast this with the anti glimmadora one which other than the pinned post doesnt even critize glimmadora on its own, they critise the stans and not in a kind way either which is just odd to me. I understand stans ruining your ship but why not say anti glimmadora stans receipts instead if you have a problem with the stans more than the ship? Also they bring up race for some reason. Like when there complaining about glimmadora fics, they said ' Even if we ignore the ooc mess, the implications of a woc's only service to comfort a white woman and protect her from another woc is...*with vomit emojis', implying its racist....especially ' protect her from another woc', bruh that woc character did so much shit to adora that would cause her truama, im sure its not about race....
