So I saw the trailer for She-Hulk and I am losing my shit --- her fucking hairs grows out when she transforms 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She has short curly hair before she changes
Tumblr media
And then suddenly when she's green she has the long, sexy model lady hair
Tumblr media
🤣🤣🤣 ignore how bad the cg looks, this is so fucking funny.
Im fucking dying, this is hysterical. Regular Hulk's hair stays the same. But oh no!!! LADY HULK needs to be EVEN SEXIER when she transforms so all the men watching can have the perfect green woman to jack off to at night 🤣🤣🤣
The sexism is so blatant I'm DEAD 🤣🤣

So Marvel’s out here ripping off smaller artists now
https://twitter.com/midiankai/status/1580902267460366336
Tumblr media
They edited it just enough that it isn’t immediately obvious, especially to non-artists, so here’s some replies pointing out the proof:

Honestly, I’m glad I stopped watching their shows and films months ago, becuase between this and how they treat their CGI artists, it’s pretty clear that they don’t value artists in any way, shape or form whatsoever. Incredibly disappointing.

The MCU is Stupid, admit it.
Quality-wise and story-wise, the MCU is an abomination of vomit tossed all over a screen with a 200 million dollar budget. The producers brains are so tiny they don't understand what basic storytelling is, it feels like I keep watching the same story over and over.
Captain Marvel's movie was an insult to comic Captain Marvel fans like me, I do not hate Brie Larson, and I condemn the hate she is getting from dumb losers on the internet, but my gosh, that woman is not Carol Danvers. The movies have no idea who she is as a character! No, Yon-Rogg didn't inject his blood serum into Carol, Carol's mother was a Kree warrior named Mari-Ell and a badass one as well, why erase that part of Carol's character? Ronan was just dumb as fuck in that movie and so was each one of the Kree. In the movies, Yon-Rogg should've just shot her and this entire vomit sludge of a movie wouldn't have happened. I wish they stuck to the real Carol Danvers, who had weaknesses and an actual personality.
No, Kamala Khan wasn't the original Ms. Marvel, it was Carol. I would've loved a trilogy with Mar-Vell (Not Annette Benning, the real Mar-Vell) being Carol's mentor, and eventually passing the mantle of Captain Marvel to Carol. Her rivalry with Rogue was also compelling as Rogue literally sucked her powers out temporarily, I know Rogue wasn't in the MCU because her character was owned by Fox, but they could've at least done Super-Skrull or anyone for that matter. Yon-Rogg was the stupidest character choice ever for a villain and Ronan is barely in the movie.
Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness was a bad movie, it's a complete insult to another very good character named Wanda Maximoff (WHO ISN'T WHITE JUST A REMINDER! SHE'S ROMANI NOT ELIZABETH OLSEN!) and Doctor Strange. I thought this would be a House of M like movie due to the Chaos Magic and Multiverse, but it turned out to be even worse than Captain Marvel. I didn't like WandaVision, but I understood it at least, and I was able to enjoy some aspects of it. I just dont fucking understand the point of dsitMoM because if Wanda is so powerful, why didn't she just say, "What Illuminati?" and kill them all, that UFC fight scene wasn't necessary, you have to abide by your own rules for your story if you're gonna make an OP character. I love comic Wanda, but Elizabeth Olsen will never be Wanda Maximoff to me.
The Ant-Man film was okayish, I mean, Paul Rudd isn't my favorite actor, but Jonathan Majors acted the fuck out of his role even if he was barely given good shit to act with. Secret Invasion was just flat out trash and it's hilarious when MCU fans think Secret Wars or the Kang Dynasty will ever be released, heck I'd be surprised if Armor Wars ever comes out (Maybe they changed the name like they did with the Agatha movie; another character I didn't like the way they handled, Agatha is not some bitch villain, she's an anti-hero and the Scarlet Witch's mentor, but Kevin Fuckie knows fuck shit about Marvel, so he probably had someone else tell him about Agatha Harkness.)
Yeah I'm a hater, I hate the way they did my favorite characters. I hate the way they turned Loki, a fucking maniac in the comics, into some pathetic joke. Unpopular Opinion: Loki the TV series is terrible and ruined his character even more. They also managed to make a mediocre character named Sylvie Lushton, even worse by making her an obnoxious dumbass, I was practically praying that Amora or Lorelei would save the series.
Peter Parker is a joke, even Sam Raimi had a better idea of who Peter Parker is. Peter in the comics isn't some iron boy, tony stark worshipping cunt, he's probably one of the biggest anti-heroes in the marvel universe. Tom Holland is certainly not Peter Parker and the lad cant act to save the Universe, just watch his performance in uncharted. Aunt May isn't this sexy hot aunt, it reminds me of what they did to Amanda Waller. Amanda Waller and Aunt May aren't defined by their looks, they are incredibly intelligent, cunning and know how to play mean when necessary, but for some reason, a 'creative' team made them almond moms which is certainly not who they were.
Feel free to hate of course, I love it because I'm practically a ball of enthusiastic positive energy.

p much every mainline-connected marvel videogame or those outsourced cartoons end up being mediocre anyways but i get annoyed how bucky's always either not in the IP-ed games or everyone has such superficial personalities and character adaptations that they never have him interact with steve much or in any meaningful way, which is weird bc why even use the IP at that point?
anyways, im just wondering when marvel's gonna see all the critical acclaim bill and frank got from that show and realize that audiences will clap for even a crumb of old men soulmates. its easy money to just sprinkle it into everything that has their IP, those videogames, cartoons, comics, shows, movies. money on the table idk why they still don't take it
(This seems to be related to a prior discussion. Was this sent to the wrong blog by chance? I get what you're saying, but also, I can see how it might be unrelated, too.)
I feel that it is fair to be annoyed. If you're consuming the content with knowing the background of past Marvel conent, I get how it can be disappointing. It's gone downhill as they begin to care more obviously about money than the characters themselves.
I don't really know anything about what is happening in Marvel because I don't look at basically any current Marvel content because... well, a lot of reasons, but among them are those out-of-character changes to no-homo Steve and Bucky's relationship you mentioned. I mean, I am thrilled for Sam getting to be Cap. It's a long time coming to have a person of color in that iconic role. But. Just. I'm not expecting great things from Marvel itself because they don't even fucking let their actors do their fucking jobs! Mackie will be great because he's great. But, there's only so many strings to pull on when you hardly know the script.
And as for why they don't even give us crumbs of stevebucky content...
It's about the 🤌🏻homophobia🤌🏻
Like, sure, Marvel would get more money from stucky fans (and likely from queer people generally because we're starved for queer representation in mainstream media), but then they'd lose money from all the conservative, homophobic people and all the people who care about not pissing off (or "offending") those conservative, homophobic people. So. There's no way they'd ever do that 🙃
*long sigh, because, what is it to be a fan of Bucky and Steve but to be a Marvel hater?*

God I didn’t even notice this. Back in 2018 doing press for Infinity War, Chadwick was literally falling asleep during the press conference and Paul noticed and asked if he was okay. Chadwick responded that he hoped so.
Fuck Marvel for not giving him a break. I get he kept his cancer private but even then they should’ve given him a BREAK

Marvel has such a fucked up relationship to motherhood
From Natasha’s whole “I can’t have kids so I’m a monster” to Wanda’s “I’m not a monster I’m a mother”

I’m just going to say this once to the “Scorsese was right” crowd—what would you suggest Marvel do?
You guys are constantly complaining about how those movies aren’t “art” but I never hear any of you propose any kind of constructive solutions.

Just imagine that a man and a woman in a movie or tv show are "close friends", look at each other in a special way, help each other in everything, save each other's lives. And then suddenly someone from the audience will say - in my opinion, there is love between them.
Will anyone be nervous about this? "No they're just friends. Are you crazy?"
Will anyone "protect" poor producers who are "attacked by nutty fans".
Will anyone advise re-reading what "romantic line" is.
"The fact that the characters are close people does not make them a romantic couple! What??? Are you also asking the filmmakers to make them a couple? How dare you!"
No, no one will do that, because it's about a man and a woman. And as soon as the conversation starts about a man and a man, or about a woman and a woman, everyone immediately becomes terribly nervous.

gonna say it: those two straight guys on stage crew who would always volunteer to play the romantic leads in crew show (and would include a big dramatic kiss) were better queer rep than any actual canon queer representation the mcu could ever hope to give us

I'm in the middle of kinda clearing out my likes, mostly for personal preference now that I have gotten out of a lot of fandoms that I deemed as being toxic and no longer wanting any trace of in my likes. So if I tend to annoy y'all with reliking your posts, I do apologize.
Half my likes involve RWBY....which I can admit I loved, but because of how toxic the fandom has become I no longer enjoy it. It's the same for Marvel, DC...almost everything saved for Assassin's Creed, The Owl House, and a few others...
It got to the point where I can't watch something without a rando stranger looking over my shoulder and start randomly blabbing to me about really personal reasons about certain aspects of a show I am trying to watch, or gameplay walkthroughs to memorize very useful strageties, and when I try to get a say on the subject, they call me very uncalled for things, and I can't take it anymore.

Everytime I see “there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism” as a response to criticisms of people buying Hogwarts Legacy I take a moment to mourn the loss of nuance.
Like yes the above statement is true, but some types of consumption are more ethical than others and context matters. Buying a game based in an antisemitic premise that will line the pockets of a transphobe who has been cited as a source in and actively promotes anti-trans legislature is not the same thing as buying fast fashion because you can’t afford anything better or that’s the only place that sells your size. People need to stop pretending all participation in capitalism is equal.
You can buy Hogwarts Legacy, that much is your right. However, I am also within my right to criticize you and your lack of care for the communities harmed by this game and the author of its universe.

lmao so i was just going through my camera roll and clearing some photos out, when i stumbled across this screenshot i took in january of 2020 and…
Tumblr media
i’m in shock. i literally don’t know how i forgot this happened, like i was actually astounded when i found this. NEVER forget when steve rogers’ ending was so horrifically out-of character that SEBASTIAN STAN HIMSELF posted a screenshot to instagram of a tweet dogging on his ending. it’s been years and i still haven’t forgiven marvel. i don’t think i ever will.

It’s kinda insane how ALOT of comic book adaptations should be animated for numerous reasons but “hey this really cool shit we wanted to do would be impossible to do live/with mix in cgi.” is a fun metric.
Everybody in the notes who thinks I don’t know about the live action movie rather than this just being about animation being a good medium for adapting comic books is a fucking moron.
