being in a poly relationship with melia and nia
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: melia x gn!reader x nia
tags: polyamorous relationship, fluff, established relationship
Tumblr media
melia and nia had known each other for longer than you knew them, but the three of you all started dating each other at the same time
at first, nia still tries to keep up her royal act around you, while melia always chastises her for it
but after a while, nia starts to relax a little more and allows herself to be herself with you, as well as with melia
when you start dating, nia and you often call melia "melly" as a way to tease her with that nickname
though after a while, you three grow used to that name and keep it, but only in when you are by yourselves
sadly, the three of you don't get to spend as much time as a throuple as you'd like, due to melia and nia both having important duties to fulfill
but that only means that you'll cherish the time you three have together even more!
you see the two of them more often than they see each other, since you often swap between their homes
sometimes you'll stay a week or two with melia at keves castle and sometimes you'll spend one or two weeks at agnus castle with nia
there isn't much jealousy between the three of you, since you are all mature adults, but melia and nia do envy you for getting to spend more time with the other
you on the other hand feel envy when you hear them tell you about their past
the two of them both went on those grand journeys and you can't help but wish that you had known the two of them back then…

i think one of my favourite things about julian and garak debating literature is that it’s all fun and games when they start with, like, classics classics canons like shakespeare or the never ending sacrifice, but once they are done with those you know they are spending like hours cramming up literature and history journals like students before an exam because yeah good luck julian now explain the context of la ciudad y los perros, wilhelm meisters lehjahre and le rouge et le noir
which obviously is funny as hell but also like it’s kind of a very important part of their character growth? like their debates do revolve around julian being human and garak being cardassian, but by having to spread out beyond the classics classics (i.e. western english canon honestly, unless season 4 surprises me with julian and garak’s opinions on crime and punishment, and whatever its Cardassian equivalent is) they are also forced to reconstruct their view of what it means to be human and cardassian respectively. rumi’s poetry is not the same as dante’s poetry and you can’t pretend it is and call it a day.

We really do hope Melia Antiqua and Eunie Xenoblade are related. Their interactions in Melia's Questline become much sweeter if they are. Aunt/Niece feels likely? Tyrea's daughter, then, with longer wings than any of the other XBC3 High Entia bar Melia, on account of Tyrea's really long ones.
That makes sense as a headcanon, probably.

The Tomorrow With You
Summary: Every year, without fail, their moults arrive.
Fandom: Tales of Symphonia Characters: Colette Brunel, Lloyd Irving Relationships: Colette Brunel/Lloyd Irving Rating: G Word Count: 1884 Mirror Link: AO3 Original Post Date: 17/06/2023
Notes: This is a XC1 AU written for Day 1 of Colloyd Week where both Lloyd and Colette are High Entians. They're called the bird people by the Nopons because of the wings on the side of their heads! No XC1 knowledge needed, here's some additional context: Homs are the equivalent of humans in this world, everyone lives on a giant titan called the Bionis and Alcamoth is the city of the High Entians located in Eryth Sea. Pure-blooded High Entians have really long wings (see: Kallian Antiqua) while some Half-Homs have shorter wings (see: Melia Antiqua). Other Half-Homs appear virtually the same as pure-blooded High Entians, and have the same lifespan: three to four centuries. It's my personal headcanon that Half-Homs with shorter wings only live half that, but I'm not sure if this was ever unconfirmed/confirmed by the game... There's a longstanding social stigma towards showing signs of Homs' ancestry (i.e. the shorter wings). High Entians with longer wings have been shown to be able to fly in the game... Once, but still! Therefore they moult, because I say so.
The title is from a track in the XC2 OST! If you know, you know.
~~~
Humming under her breath, she reached for a new patch of year-old feathers on the bottom of Lloyd’s left wing. They were noticeably more worn out, their ends splitting apart and their colour faded from a pale white to a dull grey. Not that she was surprised at the extent of the damage, given how often his wings tended to smack into hard objects from all the shenanigans he got up to on the outskirts of Alcamoth, where the city met the azure waves of Eryth Sea.
Lloyd barely moved when she closed her hand around the bunch, pulling them all out as gently as possible, revealing the follicles beneath, from which new feathers were pushing their way out as best they could. Once a month had passed, they would be fully developed, and his wings would look a lot less naked than they did now.
Just a few days ago, when his moult had only touched the very top of his wings, he had squirmed like a fish caught in a net. She had to continually remind him to stay still, knowing just how much it hurt when feathers were pulled out while she was moving - she’d made that mistake when he’d helped her with her moult a month prior. A burning pain akin to the times she’d accidentally caught her hair in the jamb while shutting the door.
“All done!” she proclaimed, carefully dropping the feathers into the wastebasket that she’d strategically placed in front of the desk before they’d started. Regardless of how neat she had tried to be, there were still some stray feathers scattered about, stark white against the wooden floor. A sole feather was kept safe on the nightstand, tucked beneath a book - a sister to the one Lloyd had kept from her last moult. “That sure took a while.”
He let out a small huff in response, slumping forward on the desk and showing no signs of getting up.
“You’re all tired out, aren’t you?” she muttered, rising from the stool she’d been perched on, stretching. Her back was stiff from sitting for close to an hour, focussed solely on locating every old feather and making sure Lloyd was as comfortable as possible.
She smiled to herself as she found that he had dozed off, eyes shut and shoulders rising and falling peacefully. Her father would be home soon, yet she didn’t quite have the heart to wake him up and send him home. She’d just tell her father that Lloyd needed to recuperate the energy to grow out all his new feathers. It was true, after all.
His wings were so large now. When they’d met, they’d both had tiny stubs that had barely classified as wings. Now, his reached past his shoulders to the middle of his back, and they still had room to grow. They were impressive to gaze upon, and her favourite pastime was to do just that, watching their minute movements that shifted with his mood. How they would droop just slightly when he was feeling down, how they flared out when he was excited, how he shook them out to catch the breeze when they ventured out to the reefs to watch shooting stars light up the night sky, falling from the heavens towards the earth to dissipate into drops of ether. Whenever she had the opportunity to bury her fingers in his plumage and stroke against his down, she could only marvel at how soft it was, rivalling the silken sheets of her bed.
The tips of hers brushed her shoulders. They had remained that length for the past two years, and would grow no further. A permanent marker of her half-Homs blood, setting her apart from everyone else. Practically a glowing signpost that would soon brand her back with a target, beckoning ire.
She didn’t need to be a prophet to predict the future that awaited her - she had witnessed it countless times. The sneers, the derision, the refusal to reach out… They had all been directed at other half-Homs before her very eyes, and even towards her father. All from a small subset of the High Entia, yet the ones who were the most vicious, violently lashing out at others just for being different.
Already, suspicious gazes were being turned on her.
Still, even with that knowledge weighing heavy on her heart, there was one thing that wouldn’t change.
Come the next year, and the next, their moults would arrive again, like clockwork.
And she would help him with his once more, as they had promised to do for each other.
~~~
His touch was painfully gentle against her wings. His actions couldn’t be classified as tugging - it was more like persuading her old feathers to vacate what had been their home for the past year, making way for the new. It made her shiver when he took the time to stroke their sides after a particularly difficult bunch, attempting to soothe the small bout of pain that would flare up. Treating them as something precious, to be treasured and protected, when to her, they were nothing more than a curse.
A sigh travelled through the air, shattering the awkward silence that had descended upon them, his fingers reaching down to trace the scabbed-over cut on her cheek. A souvenir of her encounter with some less than pleasant individuals in the gardens a few days ago, who’d had nothing but barbed insults to fling at her. She’d ignored it, long since used to the tiny shards that would wedge their way under her skin and tear at her - up until they’d dragged Lloyd’s name into it.
“Hey, Colette. Do you hate my wings?”
What…?
“I know it’s because of me that you have it so much worse. They don’t like that I spend so much time with you. If it wasn’t for me…”
It was the ugly truth, that the both of them knew, yet kept hidden under wraps, unwilling to face it.
“I am… Slightly jealous of them,” she admitted. They were everything hers were not. Having reached their full length a few decades ago, they stretched to his waist, covered in feathers so white that they could be blinding in the sun sometimes, powerful enough to propel him into the wide, blue sky.
“But I could never hate them.”
How could she?
They were the same wings she had cried into when she’d had to bury her father, far away from Alcamoth. Watching the casket be lowered into the earth of the Bionis, she’d wondered if it was truly right for a child to have to bury their parent, when said child could pass for a Homs that had barely reached adulthood, if not for her wings. He had embraced her from behind, his wings soft against her cheek as he’d whispered calming words into her ear, promising they could return here whenever she wanted to.
They were the same wings which she had watched grow alongside her own, which she had lovingly tended to every year without fail, so much so that she might know them better than her own. Knew which spots were sensitive to the touch, and knew where best to soothe, so much so that she could groom his wings far more proficiently than she ever could her own.
They were the same wings that had ferried them both into the skies, his arms steadily carrying her, ensuring she would never fall. They’d hovered so close to the starry heavens that, if she were to reach out a hand, she might have been able to scoop up one of the sparkling diamonds that hung in that vast black canvas. Together, they had watched the shooting stars fall, countless of them, slipping through the gaps between her fingers to flit across the peak of Alcamoth, their vantage point allowing them to witness the reflection making the waves of Eryth Sea come alive with a myriad of colours. The wind had ruffled the feathers of her own wings as his continued to flap, keeping them in the air, as she admired the way the starlight played off their snowy white.
And besides, it’s not like she could ever bring herself to hate any part of him.
“If you had to ask me whose wings I hate…” she heaved a sigh, folding her hands in her lap as she dropped her gaze to the floor. “It would be my own.”
It felt wrong to even say it aloud, like she was desecrating the memory of her father. She had never blamed him or the mother she had barely known, yet sometimes even she could not help but wish she had been like some of the other Half-Homs, born with wings that would grow to a length similar to that of a pure-blooded High Entia, with minute differences only the most skilled of gazes could discern. It was tiring, to walk out the door every day, steeling herself to face an unbreachable wall of hatred that bid her shoulders slump more with each day that passed.
“That… I can’t accept,” he whispered, his lips tenderly brushing against the peak of her wings, caring not for their off-white colour or how patchy they were now, the new feathers still young. It made her melt against him - against his steady warmth and the broad wings that draped around her, that would always do their best to protect her. “There’s not a thing I’d change about them. They’re beautiful as they are.”
The unwavering belief in his voice, and the gentle way he handled her wings, always capable of warming her heart, could quiet even the loudest voice that occupied her head, telling her that they were worth nothing. His agile fingers had begun to untangle the complicated knot of emotions resting in her chest - and perhaps one day, he could fully unravel it.
His wings drooped, his head bowing slightly. “I’m sorry that I couldn’t protect you this time.”
“Nonsense,” she whispered, turning to press a kiss of her own to the wings she loved so much, watching a small shudder make its way from top to bottom, feathers quivering slightly. “There’s nothing for you to apologise for. You can’t be there all the time. I’m thankful, for everything you’ve done for me already.”
He’d stood up for her so many times, the expression on his face darker than even the worst thunderstorms that raged over the sea, causing powerful waves to crash into the shore. Enough to make anyone shut their mouths instantly, skulking away in terror.
No matter how bright the flames of indignation on her behalf burned within Lloyd, he was still just one person. He could not change the entirety of the High Entia race overnight. But every action, she was certain, had a small effect in turning the tides.
Perhaps the time when those like her would be treated favourably would not arrive within either of their lifetimes, long as they were. Regardless, just as when she was younger and had fewer scars across her heart, she continued to believe in one constant.
Come tomorrow, and the day after that, and for however long she lived, even if it ended up being only half of Lloyd’s lifespan…
She would spend each day with him.

Poly imagin for Shulk and Fiora: Fiora mentions that she hopes to have some time to talk with Melia more, only for her and Shulk's S/O to playfully comment that she just wants to flirt with her.
Tumblr media
-Being in a relationship with these two would be very sweet and often a very positive experience! However, they are also both extremely close with their friends and loved ones. A partner who can joke and make light of them spending a lot of time with said friends without it bothering them too badly would make things in relationship run very smoothly.
-Jealously is normal and something that can occur sometimes, but neither of them deal with that issue very often, as by the time they are together they are very secure in their relationship, so a third partner who feels that same way would be ideal.
- Fiora may get flustered for a bit when they insinuate that she wants to flirt with Melia, let's say, but she'd soon get accustomed to that and know its not anything serious. She'd quickly be able to learn to joke that way herself when either Shulk or her other partner do something similar.
-Shulk's a bit...oblivious when it comes to relationship things unless its said straight out-he may not even really get the joke when he hears his partner joking around about Fiora and Melia. He certainly wouldn't mind though, once it's explained to him. It's good that his partner isn't jealous though-he often gets himself in situations that are flirty without even knowing himself, so being able to joke about it would be much better than arguing and getting upset.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected Headcanon (Fluffy, Mild Spoilers)
One night, Shulk, Melia, Nene, and Kino found a quiet spot on the Bionis’ shoulder to sleep for the night. Melia was awakened by the quiet sobs of Kino, who was sitting a few feet away from her. When Melia asked what was wrong, Kino answered that he wakes up in the middle of the night sometimes missing his biological Mamapon and Dadapon and “gets a big depress.” Melia beckons Kino to snuggle into her lap and strokes his fur. She tells him of her own family losses and they bond. Kino feels a little better and falls asleep cuddling with Melia.

melia dating a hom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: melia antiqua x gn!reader
summary: melia has to start thinking about your future together when she introduces you to her family
Tumblr media
when melia started dating you, she didn't think about your life spans at all and instead was more focused on maintaining a relationship with you and getting used to each other romantically
the first time she really had to think about what the difference in your life spans meant for your future was when she took you to alcamoth to meet her father and brother
the two of them quickly took a liking in you and it was clear to them that you meant a lot to melia and truly made her happy
however, while sorean was talking to you, kallian took melia aside for a moment to have a talk between siblings, asking her about what kind of future she's hoping to have with you
as her older brother, he wants her to be happy and she's happy when she's with you, but melia will outlive you… and then what?
melia hadn't considered that yet, focusing more on the here and now with you than on a future together
she knew that she wanted a future with you, but while you'd spend all of your life by her side, she'd likely lose you at some point…
it was something that worried melia, now that she was confronted with it, but she quickly made up her mind about things
she'd figure something out! something to let you live longer! something that would allow you to be by her side just a little bit longer!
she'd take care of you when you get old and she'd work on a cure for anything that might threaten to shorten your life!
melia loved you and she knew that with you by her side, she'd manage to find a way!
and even if she wouldn't, then she knew that you two tried everything you could and she could at least rest easy, knowing that she tried…

considering how the show starts, it will never be stop be fun to me that in most fandom spaces the sam winchester that lives in our head could be anything from married to eileen to being in a poly relationship with a hunter, a witch/queen of hell and an archangel, heading the men of letters/network of hunters maybe even using his psychich powers/witch talents but general consensus is that dean winchester is married to cas with two kids. ex-engaged standford lawer boy is out there doing hot girl stuff and former womanizer bad boy is checking pinterest to spice up his son's lunchbox. sam is trying to convince hunters to not shoot everything not human on sights, changing forever the concept of "hunting" in the usa and dean is planning a suprise secret disneyland trip.

.headcanon 05:  memories long past & irminsul trees
Much of Retuo’s story and lore has to deal with memories. Though he isn’t the first to be directly connected with Ley Lines or Irminsul Trees (hello, Dains), the ability read the memories of stones/rocks is quite unique thus far in the story of Genshin’s world.
Tumblr media
Retuo has a direct connection with the earth and the Ley Lines that run throughout Teyvat. That is confirmed through him being able to channel various elements contained in them and the fact that humans mining into the Lines directly damaged him and caused his Erosion to speed up.
Also, before 1.5, if we spoke to Jiu under the tree in Nantianmen she mentions that the ‘creature’ dwelling beneath will awaken and regain control of the Ley Lines of the world.
Tumblr media
Implying that his dominion over them goes further than just using it for energy or to sustain himself.
His link to the Ley Lines is quite interesting as they play a large role in Teyvat’s lore. His tail that sticks out of the ground and continues to grow, fed on his blood, resembles the Petrified Trees (the irminsul trees) in the Domains we farm in game.
Yes, the tree is much larger than the boss we see inside the seal, but remember that it is located within a Realm (mentioned here in my previous hc post) constructed by Mountain Shaper, Moon Carver and presumably Cloud Retainer. So like our Serenitea Pot, objects are placed within their own dimension.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His talent material the Blood Jade Branch resembles the Ley Line branches dropped by the Abyss Mages.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if Zhongli hadn’t meant literally carving memories into stone walls, but rather a stone dragon. An archival unit to keep the memories and history of all things in Liyue. Thinking back to his ability to read memories of ores and rocks and his control over the Ley Lines, it isn’t entirely far-fetched to believe that Retuo also had the abilities tapped into the their memories as well. If we take what Jiu!Azhdaha says here to be true, it is indeed very possible.
Tumblr media
In A Record of All Things (Historia Antiqua Chapter, Act I) Zhongli says:
Tumblr media
And Retuo as Kun Jun echoes this sentiment in No Mere Stone:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He had seen what happened to his companion and sought to preserve history in a new way: through the Traveler as its new vessel.

Handwriting headcanon inspired by Prubun's HC :
Prussia changed his handwriting through the ages, because the most common fonts and writing styles also changed. At first, I think he would write using the old fashioned Gothic fonts that the monks taught him, like Bastarda, and later with Kurrent/Kurrentschrift type of handwriting. It is executed with a quill, really beautiful and was developed in early 16th century from Bastarda.
But this font was difficult to use with a nib due to all the swirls, so in 1911 the Prussian Ministry of Science, Art and Culture commissioned a graphic artist Ludwig Sütterlin to create a new, simplified font and that's how Sütterlin was born.
This type of font was taught in German schools from 1915 until 1941 and was very popular, so I think that Prussia would begin using it after commissioning the artist. Which btw I find so fitting - he gets upset that his swirly handwriting is not working with the new invention, the nib, so he commissions an actual artist via his ministry to take care of it. What a man. A legend. Prussia takes solving his mundane everyday problems seriously.
Interestingly, after 1941 the font was banned by the Nazi party.
"In 1941 Kurrent / Sütterlin was officially ‘banned’ by Martin Bormann, later private secretary to Adolf Hitler. Instead, teaching was now to focus exclusively on the Latin script (Antiqua) or so-called Normalschrift (“normal script”), which had been taught alongside Sütterlin, and which is in use to this day."
Sütterlin and other Gothic based scripts were banned because the government believed they had "Jewish roots".
So I think Prussia would officially start writing with a 'normalized' style, tho his handwriting would still have natural influences from years of using both Kurrent and Sütterlin - quite noticeable but not ‘strong’ enough for anyone to say anything, which was exactly the point. Like a small, discreet handwriting rebellion, because for him, it was HIS script, and he was not okay with someone taking it away.
"However, many German speakers brought up with this writing system (Sütterlin) continued to use it well into the post-War period."
“Sütterlin was taught in some German schools until the 1970s, but no longer as the primary script."
" Kurrent (the older, swirly one), continued to be taught in school arts classes as an example of “a beautiful script to be executed with a quill” until 1952."
So I personally like the idea that Prussia came back to Sütterlin after the war and still uses it in everyday life. But he can also use Kurrent when he wants to be fancy, write a wish-you-well card or a fuck-you card for Austria.
He writes the prettiest, most well calligrapher Fuck You Cards.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poster from 1920s. “Beautiful example of the 'Sütterlin' German style of writing which has pretty much died out”. - This Week in Germany.
It’s not deat yet, Prussia uses it okay ;__; because he’s not dead yet either.

High Entia Ancestry
 I’ve posted a list of headcanons last time and addressed a bit about my thoughts on the ancestry of our favourite winged folks, the High Entia.
I’ve stated that I headcanon the High Entia as originally reptillian and/or avian... Scratch those. I think dinosaur-like is better. They were both reptillian and avian anyway. However, I thought that might be a fun topic to touch on further, with some observations I’ve made while playing the game.
It’s quite a wild headcanon, but it is one that makes sense to me. At least it has some basis on what I’ve seen in the game.
Since my observation posts tend to be long, I’ll be placing a ‘’keep reading’’ as per usual.
Hope you enjoy!
One of the few things about the High Entia that stood out for me was the very first High Entia NPC I talked to.  I was exploring Alcamoth for the first time at the time, and there were two NPC’s standing near one of the tall statues in the Great Hall. They were discussing their ancestry and that the High Entia likely looked very different from what they look like today.
The statue showed a very angelic looking humanoid. Wings on the head, wings on the back, the complete angel package. It was very abstract however, and details were hard to pinpoint.
Tumblr media
(Credit: https://xenoblade.fandom.com/wiki/Great_Hall )
Above is the best image I could find straight from the fan wiki. As said above, it’s fairly abstract, and the head is obscured. The skirt-like appendage around the waist could be another set of feathers, a body part, or formal attire.
The gist of this statue, plus the dialogue of the NPC’s, is that the High Entia indeed, looked very different from now.
A little further into the game, we get to see another ancient High Entia statue, this time at Prison Island. Riki points out the statue, and Melia, too, comments on the change in their appearance over the years.
No one in the party catches the hint of Dinobeast -> Telethia -> High Entia yet.
To be fair, I didn’t either.
Anyway. In my latest playthrough, I decided to give the statues a closer look, and I understood why the party didn’t connect the dots.
The statues were similar to Telethia, someone who has seen Telethia often, like the Nopon having been implied to have, would recognize them as such. But those who didn’t, would see a creature that is too humanoid for a Telethia.
I couldn’t find a screenshot of the statues, but I’ll hopefully edit this post to add as soon I have one. If I don’t forget to, that is.
It’s not too unsimilar to the Phoenix Telethia, the ones Shulk encounters alongside Alvis, but it is different. From what I could see, it looked like a cross between those and the current High Entia.
The missing link perhaps?
It did have everything the abstract statues in the Great Hall showed. Head wings, back-wings, skirt like appendage that some Telethia also possess, and a face with a beak or snout.
I’m aware the Telethia are more or less the Bionis’ cells, likely the white bloodcells (T-cells perhaps?), built to eradicate anything ‘’wrong’’. Zanza gave them sapience because he felt lonely. At that point, the Telethia became the High Entia, even though the bodies were different compared to today.
This either implies the Telethia gained sapience and eventual civilization after the Titan Battle, or that the Telethia were the first sapient race of the Bionis, before the Giants.
I’m leaned towards the latter, because it is said the ancient High Entia locked Zanza’s host body up in Prison Island. They were sapient and civilized enough to know how create and/or handle the technology used to seal away their former God.
The technology containing Zanza’s host body, looks similar to the technology seen in the High Entia Tomb and some other ruins. Mag Mell Ruins comes to mind here.
Therefore it is safe to say it was High Entia tech all this time, and they specifically created Zanza’s prison rather than utilize some abandoned tech.
Another thing I like to consider a clue of the ancient High Entia being basically sapient humanoid Telethia is their military attire of today.  The guards and soldier all wear helmets with elongated beaks as visors. There is a lot of empty space between where the face is and where the ‘‘beak’‘ ends.
This probably used to protect their actual beaks/muzzles back in the day, and it never changed. We all know High Entia like their traditions, and this is perhaps one of the many traditional things they never got rid of.
But why do the High Entia look so humanoid today?
We know, thanks to Melia’s outing into the Tomb, that High Entia rulers were working on integrating Homs genes into their bodies. What if... the so-called purebloods weren’t as pureblooded as they thought?
They did say a lot of High Entia history got lost because none of it was in writing.
The ruler Melia spoke to is said to have ruled many generations ago, I don’t remember the exact number, but I think it was around 40 generations?  They had been working on integrating Homs genetic data into their own kin for at least 40 generations. Possibly far longer... likely as soon as the first Homs appeared on the Bionis.
The Giants went extinct after the Titan Battle, the Nopon probably did not exist yet, and if they did, they simply were biologically compatible.
So the ancient High Entia pounced on the new race as soon they appeared, seeing them as a way to get rid of their curse.
Them turning more humanoid over the years is merely a byproduct of their lengthy genetic planning. And with not everything being in writing until a later point, the initial goal became forgotten by many over the course of generations.
It became a secret closely guarded by the Antiqua family as well as the Bionite Order. For opposite reasons.
The Antiqua family wants to steer the High Entia into the right direction and continue the lengthy project started by their ancestors.
The Bionite Order likely wanted to revert things back to as they once were, being devoted to Zanza, and probably engineering things here and there to de-taint their kin.
With the truth becoming such a closely guarded secret only a few were privy to, the common folk ended up ignorant.
If one does not know the how or the why behind something, they will come up with their own conclusions.  With these statues of High Entia of old standing in the Great Hall, some with the larger wings felt they were closer to what were, in their eyes, the ‘’true’’ High Entia.
And that’s probably when the whole pureblood thing started.
Ironic, isn’t it?

>Lady Cathalina Antiqua (Maiden name Freshal) was born in Colony 3, a farming colony on the Bionis’ shoulder.
>She had short black her and hazel eyes. While Melia got her eye and hair colour from her father, most say she looks just like her mother when had the same age.
>She became Consort through a pure stroke of luck. She was in Colony 2 to sell some of her wares the day Sorean was visiting.
>He’s never exactly revealed how they met, but apparently, something about her stood out to him.
>She was smart and learnt about the manners of the court quickly. Her mother raised her to do no harm but to take no shit, and take no shit she did. Just because she was Homs didn’t mean you could talk down to her.
>Because of that, she was eitger hated or loved by nobles, there was no inbetween.
>When Melia was born, she was still active in the court, but not as much. LIttle Melia took priority.
>Melia might’ve been her daughter, but she treated Kallian like her own. That really pissed off Yumea.
>She loved melia and that much was obvious just looking at her. In everythign she did, she encouraged her.
>She died when Melia was 61, leaving a Cathalina shaped hole in the hearts of everyone in the palace.
