During a test for ADHD, I stopped to write down “Ratatouille is the antithesis to the Lion King.”

31DOD Day 2 (Day 17)
I have never played either game because I am more of a tile based strategy kind of person so I'm going back to Day 2!!
Choosing a favorite issue is so difficult so I'm just going to slap some down.
Secret Origins (1986) Annual #3
This is a great issue because it recaps a lot of Dick's youth in a really strange angsty way. I also find it hilarious that Dick has managed to make not one but TWO interdimensional demons hat him. Gargoyle and antithesis should make a come back in modern comics. I guess Trigon hates him too but I'm kind of sick of him. (I know Titans Hunt exists but it was kind of lame and very ooc)
Let Them Live: Unpublished Tales From the DC Vault #2
This one is so much fun! It is the kind of crazy comic book stuff I live for. I imagine Dick does this shit all the time.
Nightwing (2016) #9
Dick and Clark are one of the coolest duos in comics! One of my favorite quotes comes from here too:
Nightwing (2016) #42
Another wonderful story similar to the unpublished tales. I also love the implication that a dragon lives in the batcave now. (add another cult to the list of cults that hate Dick Grayson)
Nightwing (1996) #150
This one is super nightwing to me. It brings back his beef with Dent which is always nice to see (and feels very forgotten these days). He does parkour between a bunch of blimps to save the day after not sleeping for way too many hours. 'wing is definitely a workaholic and it shows in this one.
Nightwing (1996) #151
This next one has Dick breaking a world record. Also very entertaining.
Superman/Batman Annual #5
I love this one because Dick!bats is out there fighting for his life against the greatest Justice League Villains while Supergirl gets a therapy session down the hall. Dick and Kara also have the cutest sibling relationship. I miss that for them.
Batman/Superman: World's Finest Issue #6
I've said it before, but I am living for the current world's finest comics. Enjoyable read :)
There are definitely others that I go back and read, but I think these have the best stories.

“He who stands aloof runs the risk of believing himself better than others and misusing his critique of society as an ideology for his private interest. While he gropingly forms his own life in the frail image of a true existence, he should never forget its frailty, nor how little the image is a substitute for true life. Against such awareness, however, pulls the momentum of the bourgeois within him.”

Rewatch cour 2 and I still like this additional
First I thought it was kind of "Blut". Which make me wonder why he need it to "protect" his eyes ? Its also different from normal blut where the mark is glow dark blue instead of faint-blue one like this... when fight Shutara, Uryu's Blut Vene mark is same with the others
Then there is a scene where Yhwach easily escape from "Cage of Life" after throw his medallion and switch place between him and the medallion, I just realize it was Uryu who help him escape by using Antithesis not Yhwach's Almighty (If its was Almighty, Haschwalt shouldn't surprise since he know a lot about Almighty)
Before that scene, we see this additional scene when Uryu look at the sun of Soul Palace. This make me wonder if this some additional detail of how Uryu eyes looks like when he active Antithesis. Which is very good additional and kinda parallel with this Almighty due to focused on the users eyes (Except instead of extra pupils, uryu has blut-like marking)

Hello! I absolutely adored reading Antithesis and Diablerie! I wanted to ask a follow up question to the post where you said how you plot fics (Imagining a super specific scene and then working backwards) could I ask if you did that for Antithesis and Diablerie? If so, what were the scenes you envisioned? If you remember!
Hello!!! Yes!! God, what a time with those stories. I had a series of pictures or scenes in my head I wanted. For Diablerie it was easy cut and clear. Antithesis I developed along the way- I had no idea how it was going to end until around chapter 60 or so.
Diablerie (scenes i pictured before I started writing)
Tom absorbing Voldemort and literally the final scene of the entire story
Tom eating someone
Grindelwald and Tom meeting
Tom using either a curse or being cursed and having a laughing meltdown
Tom binge eating and vomiting everywhere
The rest of it just fell into place. I got them where they fit best and the story fell into place. It’s remarkable how pieces slowly come together :)
For antithesis….Jesus. I had a lot of points. I can’t remember my thoughts at the start but around chapter 60 I started actually planning the story and had major scenes I wanted to write in. I’ll just include those ones I think.
Adalonda big reveal with her exploding (ended up being chemical warfare and gassing her)
Adrian oozing slime as if like, a weird final fantasy boss or some sort of anime final fight
Luna being a thestral or just the idea of Adrian meeting/confronting thestral Luna
The scene of Adrian like, confronting Adalonda and her slow boss music as she goes “oh you foolish little child” and along those vibes
A mental concept of Adrian just chilling in a field of flowers, or in the forest, with the potential for Remus or Luna at his side and yet, nobody comes.
Oh definitely adrian making a horcrux.
Most of the scenes I picture in my head I end up making art for or drawing in some capacity. Check it out!

Hey, for funsies. What's your favorite fic from your 50(+1)?
You ask hard questions, anon.
Probably either Judge My Carmine Fingertips, There is Magic In Every Living Thing, This Is The Road To Ruin, or Closer than Friends. Those are mostly HP fics which sounds like I just like HP, but it says less about my fandom tastes and more about my writing growth, I think. I've been on ao3 for five or six years, there has been growth, so it's all the newer fics that I'm proud of.
Oh! Also Antithesis. Antithesis was really fun to write.
