Baby Anwen’s Actor
We all know Anwen is the most badass baby ever, but here I want to break down what amazing baby actor the baby who plays Anwen is. (OK more like amazing editor/people on set who managed to get the best reactions and shots out of the baby but still.)
Just before Gwen goes for her gun, as she sees the helicopter lining up to fire, Gwen whispers to Anwen. Take a look at Anwen’s face here.
She looks frightened, but serious, as though she knows exactly what she and her family is at threat from. Her expression actually kind of mirrors Gwen’s face here. Mummy and daughter get each other. They’re both holding it together.
Then Gwen starts to fire.
Anwen looks remarkably chill, likes she’s appraising the carnage, just getting a handle on things. It’s like she’s thinking “Hmmm, that looks like a pretty good shot, Mummy, let’s take a closer look.”
Then the iconic....
“HOLY F**K MUMMY THIS IS SO F*****G COOL!!!!”
But the smile disappears when Gwen stops shooting.
“Mummy why did you put the gun down?” :(
That baby shows more range in a single scene than some Hollywood actors show in their entire careers!

Rhys Williams’ Rules for Dating Trainee Necromancers -- a sequel to my funky little john and gwen do necromancy fic, where it’s from Rhys’ POV and seeing how Ianto, Tosh, and Owen readjust to life while living out of his house along with John, and Rhys/Gwen relationship repair to become Rhys/Gwen/John. John necromances a dodo whom he names Doreen. bday gift for zoe
Snippet because i’m very proud of this one:
In the time that it had taken Rhys to burp Anwen, change her diaper, and get her settled for her mid-afternoon nap, Gwen and John had managed to raise a dodo from extinction.
Rhys liked to think that he was a pretty open and accepting bloke. Yeah, he knew that the smallest things could set him off, and he couldn't help having a shout, but in the end, wasn't he the one who always compromised? With Torchwood, with Jack bloody Harkness, with his wife now excitedly embracing her newfound skills as a necromancer, with her odd and crass necromancy coworker? Given all that, he thought that he was allowed to have a bit of a shout and throw a bit of a strop.
John saw the colour rising in his cheeks, his balled up fists, and he quickly said, as charmingly as he could: "Don't worry about it, big guy. I've had plenty of pets, and it all worked out."
So Rhys had his shout, and then phoned Ianto for help.
Exit Wounds AU -- AU where Gray decides to take revenge on Jack not by blowing up the city, but by forcing John to help him con Jack into thinking that Jack and Gray are setting up a rival organization to Torchwood, and for Gray to slowly win Jack’s trust so he can destroy him when he reveals his identity. Too bad Gray never accounted in his revenge plotting for making fwiends.

Anwen Williams was a healthy, five-month-old baby when Gwen Cooper finally returned to work.
Jack and Ianto refused to let her return any sooner. She had already struggled to stay home looking after a baby, but she was more impressed with how her two boyfriends managed to work everyday, and still make time to show up at her flat. These boys would take turns holding the baby.
Rhys would often return home from work to find the three passed out on the sofa, while Anwen was asleep in her crib, finally.
He became a stay-at-home dad as soon as Gwen was cleared to return to work.
The Hub was nothing like her flat. There was no baby powder, or vomit smell. Nor was there any other smell her nose had become desensitized to these past few months.
"Welcome back," said Jack when she stepped through the cogwheel door. He was leaning against his office doorway. She smiled at him. Ianto greeted her with a cup of coffee.
It might have just been because it’d been so long, but his coffee tasted better than it had before, if that was even possible.
The three resumed their Torchwood duties, and it was as if she had never left; except for at one point, when the three were huddled by Gwen’s desk.
Jack wrapped an arm around Gwen’s shoulders, and Ianto wrapped an arm around her waist. She looked up at both of them and grinned, relaxing into their embraces. The smell of Jack’s pheromones, plus the hot mug of coffee sitting on the table in front of her, brought her a great deal of comfort.
