FACTS OF SPY x FAMILY! (1)

So, after reading manga chapter 5 of Spy x Family, I soon found out some facts about the story behind the anime. Therefore, if anyone don't know much of the anime's story, it's ok, I'll show you guys some interesting facts of Spy x Family no.1

How did I find this fact? Well, while reading the manga, I came across some extra pages of the manga in chapter 5. Since I read both mangas in Vietnamese and English, so I'll share the link to find much easier if you can't find the manga online. Just click the name :))

It is true that Anya has an ability to read ppl's and animals' mind, so in the comic, she was trying to read the contents of the candy box to find out what toy is inside the box. She wanted a bear toy, but it turned out didn't work because the contents didn't have a mind to read, so she had a what-we-call a peanut toy with the sus smiling face

Some info of Tatsuya Endo, the creator of Spy x Family

So I found this one in the Vietnamese manga, the inspiration of the anime, here's the translation:

"Hello everyone, thankyou very much for spending your time reading all of Volume 1. Currently, we are having some secret project with other secret charaters so we will probably start making manga for a while. And SPY FAMILY (the correct way to call the story's name) will be one of our projects we are interested in.

This manga is inspired from Germany's situation after World War II. At that time, Germany is devided into 2 different countries: East Germany and West Germany, with the border is the Berlin Wall.

The capital of East Germany is WEST BERLIN, while that of West Germany is EAST BERLIN (this point is very important, because in the story, the main characters' family (the Forgers) is currently living in the city named WEST BERLINT in OSTANIA - the country in the EAST)

Therefore, this manga has used many details relating to Germany at that time. For example:

The city Berlin when put into the story is changed to Berlint.

Mark (the currency used in Germany before changed into Euro) when put into the story is changed to Dark.

The political context (the politics) of the East and West is shown pretty clear

etc."

The final paragraph, I don't have to translate that to you because it is not necessary because the translator above is Vietnamese and he/she was saying that during the translating, they will add some notes about the story and prevent the discontinuing coherence in the story.

Like many anime, I haven’t made the time to watch this one from start to finish and have only seen parts of it on YouTube, but this might just be the one that gets me to buy a Crunchyroll subscription.  (No promises there, but it’s at least a possibility.)  From what I’ve seen, it’s a show that contains some incredible spy action and a (mostly) wholesome family narrative, mixing them together (hence the title) in a way that, in my opinion, is pretty hard not to love.

The premise is quite intriguing on its own -- a triple irony in which a spy and an assassin get married without knowing each other’s true identities, while also being unaware that their adopted daughter is a telepath and knows both their true identities.  Combine that with the daughter’s adorable and naive attitude (not to mention her hilarious facial expressions, many of which have been used for memes), and you have a delightful series of adventures and misadventures between father, mother, and child!  Or spy, assassin, and spy wannabe, depending on how you look at them.  😊

Speaking of Anya’s face, I couldn’t possibly make an MAAC picture of her without also including her “Heh” face.  I mean...that’d just be unforgivable.

It may not have the same impact as the original, but I still couldn’t resist making it.  Besides, there’s no way I could reach this level of cuteness anyway:

*sighs happily*  Never gets old.

I’ll keep you posted on my opinion of this show if I ever get around to watching the whole thing.  I like what I’ve seen from it so far.

4. A character you rarely talk about.I mean… most of them apart from Hazel, Maisie and Anya at the moment cause they’re the three I’ve got the most inspo for recently. If I ever find the time, I’d quite like to bring back Ivy McCall, she was adorable and would be quite fun to write I think.

There are so many RP OCs lost somewhere in the void (below!!!!), it still annoys me that I can’t remember the name or fc of the original Elsa Kirsch’s bff. RP is exactly what got me really into writing, and my first ever RP OC was Venus Lovegood, Luna’s big sister… 9 years ago. She’s now known as Venus Niguero with absolutely 0 ties to the Lovegood fam and is like 1000000% different to how she started. I blame RP for the majority of my bad writing habits, as I can write snippets and like very short scenes pretty easily and then get stuck…. like, where’s the other person’s input that I then feed off for the next bit?!? Hahaha. Rory and Sid are two other OC’s that came from RP but I haven’t really mentioned any others on here (as of yet…)

People assume she’s a dumb blonde who only cares about her appearance and dating the most popular boy at school, and for a good while she convinces herself that that’s exactly who she is, but eventually James will realise that she’s more than just the ‘bitchy blonde cheerleader’ stereotype.

I can see Anya tagging Evie in memes at all kinds of hours, trying not too laugh too loudly in case she wakes the grump-master Alec up, but if he did turn up at her door telling her to shut up she’d be like “but I’m keeping the parabatai bond with Evie strong while she’s all the way in Bejing Alec” and he’d just roll his eyes and put some kind of soundproofing rune on her door.
