I highly recommend people start keeping regular journals again. Especially if the internet collapses in a few years. Let there still be records of what has been done. Like that Korean king who fell off his horse. Or Ea-Nasir. Or the first time you try kombucha and a meme gets made of your reaction.

It'll be harder to spread it to each other, but not impossible. Ideally, the internet will never go away. Nor the Post Office, but humans were gossips and storytellers before those things came to be and we will be long after they're gone.

So, I am working on a bigger art project that I will be making a sideblog for. It's a fancomic for HH/HB and I expect it to take...a long time. I'm still in the development stages of that mess since I am redesigning basically every character (even ones we haven't seen yet) to make them easier for me to draw. I will post on here when I get that set up since I know zero about webcomics at the moment and how to post them.

A foreword though, I am not doing this for any profit (obviously), but for the love of creating and wanting a satisfying story and characters. Also to test my still...subpar skills.

Idk if this will comfort anyone else to hear but every embarrassing thing you've ever done or every time you feel cringey because of the person you used to be? I want you to remember that the people who were there to witness those times who aren't around anymore are probs remembering them differently (if they even remember them at all) and have also changed a lot themselves since then. So even if they thought you were weird or annoying in the moment, they most likely have an entirely different perspective of that now.

Time changes everyone and everything. It's inevitable. Stop beating yourself up over something that you didn't understand, have the resources to deal with, or couldn't have done differently even if you wanted to. You have forgotten more embarrassing things about others than they remember about you. So pitter patter and don't worry about it.

A tiny detail about Hadestown I love: Eurydice's candle. She lights it during "Any Way The Wind Blows" and it stays lit until the intro to "Wait For Me". Hermes blows it out after he tells Orpheus where she is to represent the snuffing of her life. It got me, okay?
