Thinking about the ideal relationship dynamic with older brother’s best friend, Eren Jaeger — your brother and Eren are off to college parties while you sulk about being left behind, and about how the world is unfair up until Eren notices and he’s like “Come on man, she’s cool. She can come.” He then looks at you with the most green you’ve seen in any eyes and asks you, “You’re cool, right?” and you don’t think anyone’s ever focused their eyes on you for that long and you smile.

You do try to play it off like it doesn’t mean anything to you, but you also start perking up, just a little, when he’s around (which you vehemently deny if confronted because that’s your brother’s loser friend. Your brother’s loser friend who voluntarily chooses to hangout with your loser brother). And you start to voluntarily put your book down / remove your headphones / turn off the tv and join in on conversations with the two. You even fake a little laugh when he says something not that funny only to find yourself banging your head against your pillow an hour later.

And eventually when you go off to college, you start finding other boys with dreamy green eyes and you think that you’ve grown out of your crush on him, because you weren’t kidding, he literally is just a loser who hangs out with your loser brother. 

Except he does these little nice things for you once in awhile, like offering to pick you up at the airport when you’re back home for the holidays, offering to help you run errands that your mother has asked you to do, helping you pick out a gift for your brother... just the little things, and you find your insides flopping into itself every single time, over what is possibly only annoyance but it is also possibly, most definitely not annoyance. 

And one night, after denying, and denying, and denying, when the two of you are perched on your balcony because he was helping you move into your own apartment this time. You’re both nursing the soft drinks in your hands, talking about life, and the best toothpaste to use and what not, and before you know it he’s leaning down to kiss you. 

He backs away a little too early for your liking, but his hand comes back up to cup your face, his fingertips brushing over your lips, as he asks, “Was that okay?” And as you’re looking into his fixed green eyes, the same green of the trees that sway outside as you lay next to him in bed that night, you think maybe you never grew out of your crush after all.

everyone on every day at the exact second the server opens, weekly or monthly streamers suddenly becoming daily streamers, chill players suddenly calculating out which food gives the best saturation or how to get 0.1% of a point better on missions, Tubbo having actual nightmares, Cellbit's voice that wasn't great at the start taking even more of a beating due to constant screaming, Roier fully losing his shit a week and a half in - leading to a completely player-driven reset of how the xp and enchantment systems were being utilised (Because Everyone Was Fucking Miserable), the point where the gay ninjas had been eliminated but not told what would happen to them so everyone was like really weirdly intensely stressed out for about 14 hours, Tubbo just being too actually psyched out to beat Phil in the 1v1, how REAL the emotions were from the creators when they finally saw their kids again and THEN THE ROOF STARTED TO CAVE IN, loads of creators just taking a full break from the server when the nuke went off with a bunch of them not returning for MONTHS, the creators later being asked if they want to join purgatory two and many being like "lmao, no ❤️" and two characters (very much main characters in terms of lore) straight up canonically dying in the nuke blast

and there was just... a vibe to it. our eggs will die if we lose. if we're not being lied to AND if we're not the cursed team. how do we know who's the cursed team? should we lose on purpose if we're not? we're obviously the cursed team (EVERY TEAM SAID THIS).

and the chatters didn't escape the psychological torture this event organically produced. our children have been missing for months at this point and it almost doesn't matter who wins because everyone is at the end of their tether and absolutely every egg could theoretically die.

waaahaaa i'm so delighted to hear it! i will be completely honest, i was extremely nervous to post that very first comic with him in (where he was undeniably malicious) because almost every other headcanon i'd seen of him at that point is that he is Just Misunderstood and Actually A Good Guy or, at the very least, perhaps currently acting out but still Redeemable With A Heart Of Gold

and those are amazing too! not a single piece of shade on those characterisations; they are genuinely cathartic tropes and i love to see them- for him or anyone else. but it made me quite scared to have to just be like... 'anyway he is extraordinarily and wilfully cruel in my headcanons and stories!!'

so it really means a lot to me that you enjoy this characterisation!! and that you think possibly it's having an impact on other folks' characterisations in a positive or refreshing way! that's such an honour! i was scared people would loathe my storytelling or characterisation of their favourite blorbo (i still fear it, ngl) or even think that i like... don't like him. but the thing is that i love him. i love him to bits and pieces and because of how much i love him i've done him the ultimate honour of assigning him Irredeemable All-powerful Villain and allowed him free reign to bite and kill

i appreciate your kind words, thank you. however, while i'm sure you had the best intention with this, i don't think i will 'say less'. this is my blog, my space, and as long as i'm not actually causing harm to anyone or anything along that line, i think i'm allowed to have some degree of freedom regarding saying what i like/dislike and setting my boundaries. i'm sorry, but i'm not an influencer, nor a public figure who has the responsibility to spread positivity and be a role model to you all. i try as much as i can, of course, but that's not the purpose of this blog. i'm just a human being who needed an outlet for writing and wanted to connect with like-minded people.

what part was not 'right'? that i expressed, in my own blog, how i didn't want to try out a game because one of the reasons is i find the graphics of the fictional characters off-putting, when asked? that i likened a fictional game art style to a different franchise and objects you see all the time in adult site ads? that i never said anything about the people who do like the game and told them "i'm happy you found a game you like"? that i never, not even once, went to other people's posts or blog who posted that game's content to ruin their fun like a bastard? that i actively chose to use tumblr's filter instead? that even if the filter didn't work, i chose to scroll and ignore instead of bitching about it?

I’m going to be completely transparent here. I watched Warrior Nun back when it was released in 2020 and absolutely fell in love with the show. I knew it was special and had so much potential and was incredibly surprised to find out that Netflix had requested it end on the cliffhanger it did and actually followed up with a second season. After the new trend of “Cancel your gays” that’s been happening this year though I remember telling a friend “well, guess I’ll enjoy this second season of Warrior Nun before they cancel it”. I also recall seeing this tweet from Simon Barry:

The writing seemed pretty on the wall at that point. Netflix wasn’t going to properly promote the show - they didn’t care. But this little show that so few people knew about released its second season and man oh man the response was fantastic. I’m just truly so impressed by the amount of love for Warrior Nun from the fanbase, the crew, the cast; it’s really just incredibly special. I think anyone who’s looking at this tag is very much painfully aware but something like this doesn’t happen often where all the stars really align: incredible writing, cinematography, acting, VFX, etc. While I really have no clue what options actually exist and whether or not we’ll get the proper closure we all deserve I’m still incredibly grateful to get to love on a show with a Showrunner that gets it and truly cares.
