One thing I love about reading WAP after reading too much English literature (I was reading Persuasion before it) is the contrast between those repressed Britishes who barely touched each other (not even!! A kiss!! Between the main couple!!) and these Russians just kissing each other everywhere all the time even the characters who aren’t super close. They just be kissing faces and cheeks and shoulder and heads and hands and !! good for them!! Good for them!!!
