so Not a Pop Song all the way to Losing My Mind would be yasper following high school and watching xavier thrive

Easier Than Lying (“losing you is easier than lying to myself that you love me”), Three Dots From Stardom, and Oxytocin are the moments when yasper decides to commit a crime :)

I know oxytocin is supposed to be kinky but the line “as long as you’re still breathing/don’t you even think of leaving” has the right vibe 😀 again, just take the song literally. “and what would people say/if they listened through the wall” my guy that is a bisexual in a cool jacket hiding in the closet as he prepares to commit homie cide 💕

Whispers is just. I sing it like “bet I could kill him” bc yeah. but also the original line works as well 🍌🍑🥭

Getaway Car and Without Me are that saddest when it comes to my poor lil meow meow :)

Getaway Car is a few things: the first ties back to yasper deciding to take Xavier’s living rights. (“X marks the spot/where we fell apart/he poisoned the well/every man for himself”)

the second thing is when yasper explains that he didn’t intend for aniq to get tied up into everything and my personal headcanon that yasper probably would have let him take the fall despite what he told him (“it’s no surprise I turned you in/cuz us traitors never win/I’m in the getaway car/I left you in the motel bar/put the money in the bag and I stole the keys/that was the last time you ever saw me”) honestly it kinda hurts my entire being :)

but also the second verse reminds me of the car chase scene (“he was running after us/i was screaming go, go, go/but with three of us honey, it’s a sideshow/and a circus ain’t a love story/and now we’re both sorry”)

Without Me is yasper explaining how he should have been famous, how Xavier stole his line or whatever and how much it actually hurt him (“you know I’m the one who put you up there/name in the sky/does it ever get lonely?”) I just like to think they’re bitter exes :)
