i love that green hoodie you always draw hajime in he looks so cute
Hey, thanks! Fun fact. Hoodies are color coded by au. I realized on these I only notes his skin and hair as being a darker shade on the post game au, but generally I keep the same colors between him because I prefer to work with darker colors.
Not shown are;
Reserve Hinata just gets a suit, simulation Hinata gets his in-game design. No despair aus fluxuate between canon look and twin au.

Tsukishima has never claimed to be a good person.
He’s arrogant and mean. He’s never been the openly kind and caring type. He had a nasty habit of provoking people, and often found himself rather enjoying making fun of them. He’s also been told that he intimidates people very easily. Tsukishima is pretty sure these things don’t make him your usual run-of-the-mill good boy. He didn’t gain the nickname ‘Suckyshima’ among his teammates and friends for nothing.
But at the very least, he’s always thought that when it really mattered, one could find goodness at his core.
He knew you believed it, too. He could see it in your eyes; could hear it in the tone of your voice, the way you spoke to him; could sense it in the way you relaxed your shoulders and laughed so easily around him. Tsukishima never understood why. Nobody has gotten close to him as easily as you did— not even Yamaguchi. You were, by all accounts, his polar opposite. You only ever had kind words, and rarely scowled at anybody. You were polite, sweet, and his mother just adored you. You had sharp edges too, sure. Everyone did. But you were the goodest person he knew.
Which is why it kept him awake, every night, remembering what he did to you.
“What are you talking about?” you asked, trailing after him as he walked away from the gym. There was a tremble in your voice and he hated it. “I don’t understand why you’re being like this, Kei.”
“I’m saying this as simply as I can,” he replied over his shoulder. “I don’t want to be with you anymore.”
“But why?” He could hear your footsteps coming closer. “You just keep repeating that, but you don’t tell me why.” He felt a hand wrap around his wrist, tugging him backwards. Tsukishima sighed and stopped in his tracks. He wasn’t sure he’d make it out of this alive if he turned to look at your face. So he didn’t. He shook your hand away, sighing.
“Don’t you love me anymore?” Tsukishima was completely certain you were crying.
“No, I don’t.” He replied. Tsukishima heard your breath hitch, and his heart stopped. He hated this. He hated this.
“No,” you told him. “I don’t believe you, Kei. I don’t believe it.”
“Fine,” Tsukishima said, pushing himself forward. “Don’t believe me. I don’t care.”
You lunged after him, throwing your arms around his waist. Tsukishima’s breath stopped. “I don’t believe you Kei,” you repeated, tightening your grip. “Not for one second.”
He took a breath and spun around, mustering as much strength as he could in that millisecond. “What’s wrong with you?” He spat, pushing you away in one swift motion. “Don’t believe me, that’s fine. But I’m telling the truth, I don’t want to be with you anymore.”
“You’re a liar, Kei,” your voice was just barely above a whisper now. Tsukishima was almost certain this was worse than having you yell at him. “Look at me. Look me in the eyes. And tell me that again.”
“I don’t owe you anything,” he replied, trying to keep his voice from trembling too. “But if this will make you stop, sure.” He took a breath. “I’m tired. No, I’m exhausted. Between you and volleyball, I just can’t keep up. You always expect so much of me, and you never leave me alone. Do you know how tiring it is to be with someone who constantly needs reassurance? Who always needs me around? I’m sorry, I just can’t do this anymore. I don’t want to be with you anymore. ”
He was sure that the look in your eyes at that very moment would haunt him for the rest of his life. Tsukishima has never hated himself as much as he did right then.
“Fine,” you muttered. “That’s fine. I understand.”
Tsukishima turned on his heel and silently walked away from you. This was the worst thing he had ever done. If he’s ever believed that there was any good in him before, now he was certain there was none.
Tsukishima tried to convince himself that it was the right thing to do. If you hated him, it would be easier for you to move on. You would be free. You’d be better off without him. He’s never been any good for you in the first place anyway. He couldn’t give you what you deserved.
It’s been three weeks since that evening. Tsukishima had become angrier, more bitter. He could tell from the way his teammates walked on eggshells around him. Kageyama wasn’t snarky with him and Hinata brushed off his back handed comments. Bokuto had tried reaching out to him, odd as that was. Daichi and Sugawara had tried to talk to him too, but he brushed them off. He knew they all meant well, but they wouldn’t be able to make it go away anyway. There was no grace in heaven for someone like him.
Tsukishima only ever saw you in the halls. When Yamaguchi made excuses not to walk home with him after practice, Tsukishima knew he was going to meet with you. He tried to tell himself it didn’t bother him. Maybe you and Yamaguchi would fall in love. The thought made his chest tight and his throat burn, but Yamaguchi was better for you than he could ever be. It wouldn’t be so bad. It didn’t bother him. It was better this way— or at least, that’s what he told himself.
But it did bother him. All of it did. It bothered Tsukishima that Yamaguchi got to look at you, hear your laughter, walk you home, and do all these things with you that Tsukishima would never get to do again. It bothered him that you would never look at him without sadness in your eyes ever again. It bothered him that he knew he would never love anyone else, because he would rather be lonely than hurt anyone again— than hurt like this again.
Tonight, it bothered Tsukishima that his hands were cold. He shoved his hands as deep in his pockets as he could. He thought about stepping inside Coach Ukai’s store for a bit, maybe warming his hands and belly with a meat bun. But even as he was a good distance away from the store, Tsukishima could already hear the bellowing laughter of his teammates. He knew that if he stepped inside, the laughter would slowly quiet down and they would start throwing him these sympathetic looks. He didn’t want to spoil their fun. So he kept walking.
Tsukishima kept his eyes trained on the road in front of him. The music streaming in from his headphones blocked out pretty much most of the sounds around him, keeping him locked inside his head. That was fine. If he was lucky, a car would come crashing towards him and he wouldn’t be able to notice until it was too late.
That’s why he didn’t even notice you until you were right in front of him.
Tsukishima stopped dead in his tracks. Those shoes were very familiar. He looked up at you, his heart thumping in his ears.
“Hello, Kei,” you said, slowly. The gentleness of your voice took him aback. Tsukishima spent many late nights imagining what it would be like to run into you for the first time since the breakup. He imagined you would either completely ignore him, or yell at him. He wasn’t sure which was worse, but he knew for sure that he deserved both from you. He wasn’t expecting this, though.
“Have you been well?” No, he hasn’t. Tsukishima found himself unable to speak. He averted his gaze, feeling the shame crawl up his spine. Even without looking at you, he knew you would be wringing your hands behind your back— it’s what you did whenever you were nervous. He knew you would have your hair done the same way it’s always been, pushed up your forehead with a ribbon and falling down your shoulders. He knew exactly how beautiful you would be, even under the dim yellow light of the street lamp. And most of all, he knew there would be tears in your eyes. So, no matter how much he wanted to meet your gaze, he didn’t.
“Alright then,” you conceded after a few seconds without a reply from Tsukishima. “It was nice seeing you, Kei.”
You stepped sideways in an effort to avoid him, but as you walked past, Tsukishima’s arm shot out. His hand desperately wrapped around your wrist. He hated how much it reminded him of how you did the same thing the night you broke up. His heart had risen up to his throat, and he felt like he was going to vomit. Tsukishima couldn’t breathe. He didn’t know what he was doing, but he didn’t want you to leave.
“I haven’t,” he croaked. “I haven’t been well.”
You looked up at him, surprised. Tsukishima’s cheeks burned, suddenly feeling silly for acting on impulse. He let go of your wrist. “I’m sorry,” he said, finally looking at you. “I don’t know what came over me.”
“It’s alright..” you said, slowly. “I haven’t been well, either.”
Looking at you hurt him. You looked so small and fragile, standing in front of him with that look on your face. It made his chest constrict, and he hated that he was the reason you looked so downcast. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled. Before he knew it, his feet propelled him forward, carrying him away from you. Apparently, this was all he knew how to do. Walk away.
Tsukishima couldn’t sleep that night. He tossed and turned, replaying every second of your earlier interaction in his head. The image of you, small and vulnerable in front of him, was burned into the back of his eyelids. He couldn’t stand seeing how he’d hurt you. But somehow, he couldn’t stop picturing it. Part of him knew he needed to make it right, that he needed to apologize. An even bigger part wanted to take it all back. To beg for your forgiveness, to say, screw it— everything’s just no good without you. And if you would still have him, he would do everything in his power to deserve you.
But he knew he had no right to do any of that. Tsukishima sat up and put his head in his hands. This must be what going crazy feels like.
Tsukishima pulled on a hoodie, and made his way downstairs. He slipped into his sneakers, convincing himself he’d just go for a walk. Only to clear his head. But he’s never really been good at convincing himself. Before he knew it, his feet were taking him down a familiar path. One he’d walked countless times before. And he couldn't seem to stop. He only did when he came up right at your door.
“Kei, it’s two in the morning,” you swung the door open, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. Tsukishima looked at you, and it occurred to him that he didn’t know the right words to say.
“It’s cold tonight, huh,” he said, shoving his hands sheepishly into his pockets.
“Yeah…” you answered, rubbing your arms to keep warm.
“It’s been like this ever since that day,” Tsukishima continued, nodding to himself. “Cold as winter, every single day. I mean, not literally, but like, that’s how it felt…” he couldn’t believe what he was saying. He shouldn’t be here. But it’s too late to turn back now. He swallowed the lump in his throat. “That’s how it felt to not have you in my life.”
“Kei…” tears were welling up in your eyes.
“And I’m sorry,” Tsukishima continued. “I’m sorry for everything that I said. I didn’t mean any of it.” He took a deep breath.
“Then why—”
“I was terrified.” Tsukishima could feel the wind brushing against his face and pulled his hood up. You don’t think you’ve ever seen him look this vulnerable.
“I love you so much,” his voice was soft. “The stars pale in comparison to how much I do.” His breath hitched, and he could feel tears welling up in his eyes. “And I didn’t think I was good enough for you.” Tsukishima chuckled bitterly. “I was right.”
“Oh, Kei..” you reached out for him, taking his face in your hands. It was the first time you’d ever seen the great Tsukishima Kei cry. “I’ll spend the rest of my life being sorry that I hurt you,” he whispered. “And if you’ll let me, I’ll spend every day making it up to you.” There was no place in heaven for someone like him. But damn it, Tsukishima would do his best to earn his place with you.

Please do a pt 2 of toxic traits that had kenma, kageyama, and Tsukishima. Please make it fluff in the end🥺. I loved it
❝toxic pt. 2❞
↳haikyuu boys toxic traits part two
characters: kenma kozume, kageyama tobio, tsukishima kei
warnings/tw: toxic relationships
a/n: I'm so glad you loved the first one !! I hope this is good enough afndjsmsj
(this kinda long sorry lmfoaodjrnf)
part one here
kenma ;
Tumblr media
-its been a few weeks since the two of you had talked properly.
-you did what he wanted, you had broken up with him.
-it felt weird going back to your regular life as if nothing had happened. as if you didn't spend half a year with him.
-it did hurt when you realized he didn't even care. that day when you walked away from him, you doubted that he gave it a second thought.
-but, unknowingly, the whole situation was slowly eating kenma up with guilt.
-after your breakup, he briefly had talked about it with kuroo and that’s when he realized how much of an asshole he really was.
-he missed it when you watched him practice, apparently, the other members of his team did too.
-“where’s y/n? are they okay?” lev would ask the most.
-“they broke up idiot- if you’re wondering how they are ask them yourself” of course, yaku would hit him for even mentioning them.
-up until now, kenma never noticed the little things that you did for him. how you would praise his hard work after practice or a game.
-how you would softly comb your fingers through his hair while playing games. or how you would bring him lunch every day in case he forgot to eat.
-not only that, but he started missing the little things about you as well.
-how your nose would scrunch up when you laughed,
-when you would hold his hand, you’d always rub circles on his thumb.
-how you would hum when playing with his hair.
-all those things, why hasn’t he realized them before? why did he let you go?
-why did he hurt you so bad?
-he wanted to— no, he needed to apologize to you.
-he wanted to be with you again, though he didn’t really think he deserved you anymore.
-he wanted to try anyway.
-you received a text from him in the afternoon. you were hesitant to answer. what could he be asking for? his hoodie that he left a month ago?
-when you finally decided to answer it, it read-
-“Can I please talk to you.”
-he wanted to talk now? he had a chance weeks ago. months even.
-you just sighed and texted back saying yes. he asked if he could come over and you agreed, maybe things would end off on a better note? you’d be lying if you said you didn't miss him.
-when kenma came over, he looked different than how he usually did. he didn't have his psp and he didn't use his phone once.
-he slowly walked to your bed and motioned you to sit next to him.
-“I’ve been a big fucking asshole to you, y/n. I'm so sorry I treated you like that.” he would start.
-he ended up apologizing for everything and told you he never realized how much care relationships need.
-“you deserve so much better. it’s selfish of me to even consider the fact you’d take me back but. I missed you a lot, I'm so sorry for hurting you.”
-you wanted to be with him again, to hold him and tell him it’s alright.
-instead, you rest your hand on his shoulder with a squeeze.
-“it's okay, it’s fine. I messed up along the way as well.” you’d start. kenma kept the same stoic expression he usually had. but you can tell in his eyes, he was hopeful.
-“but maybe we don’t belong in a relationship. maybe not yet at least.”
-kenma understood what you meant.
-in the end, the two of you had agreed that to ever get back into a relationship again he had to work on letting himself be vulnerable around you.
-he had promised to be better for you, and wait until you were ready to be with him again. although you had promised to be with him sometime in the future, the pang in his chest didn't fully go away.
-the day ended with him in your arms, comforting him.
-his arms were wrapped around you, his head in the crook of your neck.
-“kenma, I still love you. you know that right?”
-kenma didn't exactly answer. instead, he pulled you closer to him. you could feel his smile against your neck.
-you both still loved each other but decided to take it slow this time. not wanting to hurt each other.
kageyama ;
Tumblr media
(reader is into photography bc that's the only thing I could think of I'm sorry lfmsoakedjdnsn)
-it’s been a few days since his last game, where he basically told you that you “clearly didn’t love him”
-in those few days, kageyama couldn’t explain what he was feeling.
-he always had trouble expressing his emotions. so he often ignored them.
-but this time, there was a pit in his stomach that just wouldn’t go away. whenever he looked at his phone he would be tempted to call you.
-he wasn’t so sure if that was a good idea, but the silence was killing him.
-one day during practice he had asked hinata if he had seen you.
-hinata nodded and told him you were out in the courtyard doing club activities.
-kageyama didn't know you were in a club? though, he hardly payed any attention to that stuff.
-he wondered how he could be so clueless, you two have been together for months.
-that day, he skipped practice. that on its own was a whole different story.
-he managed to find you outside, taking pictures of the flowers and anything remotely interesting you could find.
-but no matter how mundane, kageyama didn't fail to notice the smile you had.
-he recognized that look in your eye, that was the look he had whenever it came to volleyball. how could he have not realized how happy your little hobby made you?
-he wanted you to be happy, to see you smile with so much passion like that.
-kageyama approached you cautiously, trying not to scare you.
-“what do you want kageyama?” you started. it startled him a little.
-you didn't need to turn around for you to know he was there. hinata had texted you that kageyama was coming, of course.
-“Nothing... I just.. missed you I guess” he sat down next to you. neither of you had talked, it became awkward fast.
-“so... you like photography? I didn’t know”
-“of course you wouldn't.”
-kageyama cringed at the words. you weren’t wrong in the slightest, he had been ignoring your interests for the longest and he feels like such an ass for it.
-“I'm sorry for not paying attention” he stated. you nodded at his words. but that wasn’t enough for him.
-“I should’ve payed more attention to you, it’s my fault I got so caught up in my own head” still, you didn’t say anything but you did turn your attention to him. progress he thought.
-“I should’ve realized that this, is just as important to you as volleyball is to me.” he rested his hand on top of yours. in return, you squeezed his a little. he smiled softly.
-“I’ll give you more of my attention from now on. okay? I'm sorry y/n. I love you, I really do.” he finished. and that’s what you wanted to hear.
-you wanted him to acknowledge his wrongs and apologize. you knew kageyama struggled with his emotions sometimes but he would eventually come around.
-you rested your head on his shoulder.
-“did you really skip practice for me?”
-“of course I did”
-by the end of the day, kageyama had learned that relationships aren’t just a one-sided thing. that you cant constantly be supporting him without him supporting you.
-he promised to you that no matter what it is that you would do, he would be right by your side cheering you on.
tsukishima ;
Tumblr media
-the days had turned to weeks, and tsukishima was barely paying any attention to you. after your little fight, it was clear that he wouldn’t say a word until you said something first.
-but you were scared to.
-how could you not be? his teasing crushed your self-esteem.
-you would notice things about yourself that you never saw before. picking at your skin for the tiniest imperfections.
-or even trying to change your appearance in any way you could to seem different, but in the end, tsukishima didn't pay attention.
-but someone else did, yamaguchi. he was close to tsukishima and knew what was going on.
-he was the first one to comfort you after your fight with your boyfriend. he promised to you that the things he said weren’t true and he never meant it.
-yamaguchi was slowly replacing tsukishima as the days went by. still, the two of you remained friends.
-“I think you should talk to him, y/n. he misses you I know it” he told you one day. he was on his way to practice and asked you to come with.
-you didn't know if that was really true but you decided to put your trust into him.
-instead of going into the gym yourself, you waited for practice to end nearby. you didn't want to be a distraction.
-when practice did end, tsukishima and yamaguchi ended up being the first ones to come out. yamaguchi was smiling as he yelled out for you. tsukishima stayed silent.
-walking towards the two made your anxiety rise. it was nerve-wracking honestly.
-the three of you ended up walking to the gate before yamaguchi told you that he had somewhere to go first and he’d meet you two later.
-after that, it was just the two of you. you noticed how although his house was in the opposite direction, he still walked with you. you smiled a little at that.
-“So what’s up with you and yamaguchi?” he said bluntly. the abrupt interaction kinda scared you a little.
-“Nothing, we’re just friends. why?”
-“nothing. I just don't like seeing you all friendly with him.”
-“Are you jealous?”
-“I guess so”
-his words were so blunt it left you confused.
-you asked him how he could say something like that when he’s been ignoring you for days. and not only that but just straight-up bully you.
-tsukishima stayed silent at that. he had stopped walking at this point, and so had you.
-“listen. I'm sorry for saying those things to you, I was just stressed and took that out on you. I never meant to hurt you y/n, I mean it” you knew tsukishima wasn't the type to talk so openly about how he felt.
-he probably meant it.
-it doesn’t take away the fact that it hurt you. you told him what his words had done to you, that you had tried to change yourself for his approval.
-at this, tsukishima brought you into a hug. he held you close to him, softly petting your hair.
-“I'm sorry y/n, I’m sorry for taking it too far, for making you think so low of yourself. I promise you I never thought those things about you, I was just mad. I should’ve never taken it out on you.”
-at this point, you didn't know if you should be happy about it or cry.
-“it hurt tsukki.” was all you said to him.
-“I know. I'm so sorry y/n, I understand if you cant forgive me.” he pulled away from you to move your hair away from your face, leaning in to plant a soft kiss on your forehead.
-“I understand that I’ve hurt you. you don't need to forgive me. but please know that I love you so much.”
-afterward, tsukki ended up walking you home, holding your hand the rest of the way.
-he knows things might not go back to being the same, but he’s willing to work on letting you past his walls, being nicer towards those he loves, you especially.
-you know old habits die hard and that relationships aren’t always easy. but this was a journey you both were willing to take. both learning from each other to make sure this never happens again.
——-
I'm really hoping this is okay uh- I tried to make this as wholesome as I could but continuing the theme from last time. I might have to just make fluff has for these three after HANDFJDNN (i’m also very sorry for my terrible english @(*$@*(24)

Asynchronous With You: Ch 5.5
ship: naruhina
rating: teen (references to much ecchi this chapter)
tags: Modern Day AU, Foster Siblings, Family, Angst, Unrequited Love, Poor Communication
summary: An awkward journey full of self-denial and missed moments between two foster siblings. Perhaps their love will find the right timing someday.
She can't stand herself right now, so she makes him feel like he's the untolerated one
She just wants to be alone.
Between the abandonment from her parents, the fact that she wronged Hanabi and will deserve the worst outcome for it, to the way Naruto skillfully fucks up her emotions without even trying, she just wants it all to stop.
It's all… so itchy.
These events and circumstances, they gravitate to her, they stick to her fly-trap skin and die. And she can't be rid of it.
It's all fated.
Her whole existence is one incurable allergy, and continued exposure will only lead to anaphylaxis.
However, if she closes her eyes and lays very still atop her covers, she can dream of a world where everything is as it should be.
One where her parents cherish her and she and Hanabi are one of the closest sisters you'll ever see.
A world where Neji didn't lose his parents, yet it would still feel like he's always lived with her in the same house.
A world where Naruto had never been orphaned, had grown up secure in the love of his parents so that he didn't have to inebriate himself on his vices.
She just can't stand being his sister, because it makes her feel depraved.
She can't stand all the ways that she wants to compete against those other girls.
She's got the home advantage.
Proximity is everything, or it should be.
She doubts he would hate it if he found the hole had grown bigger. She doubts he would hate testing it out.
She pictures it and pictures it, and it's exciting. Tingles shoot down into her belly, traveling lower and lower.
It's so wrong how much she wants to be claimed.
She knows he wouldn't dare.
She knows he would hate it if the one offering themselves on the other side was her.
She can't stand how she had wanted to be curled against his side on the train ride to Neji, how she wished his voice would tickle her ears again like when they were kids, giving her the reassurance that she needed.
She can't stand how she had conspired with Neji to make Naruto feel off-kilter, like he didn't know her at all, just to hand off this whole cosmic unfairness onto him.
Any effort on her part brings them closer together as foster siblings, so really, could anyone blame her for giving up at this point?
She's starting to feel itchy again.
Hinata sucks in a sharp breath as she wills her legs to work.
She needs to apologize to him.
She wobbles out of her room, then leans against his bedroom door. She knocks against the wood. Her efforts are weak at first, hesitant pauses punctuated between each knock. Then desperation finally takes hold, and her knocking picks up as much volume as intensity.
She knows what she's here to do.
It's not that hard.
But the hushed desires crowding the back of her mind, the clawing need to clear the air and put her anxieties down for good, these make it so hard for her to breathe.
These make her not trust herself to be alone with him.
The door handle rotates, the click hitting her ears like the cocking of a gun hammer.
Her heart seizes in a panic.
He greets her with an affronted frown, then tugs at his earbud wires. Thunderous drums and riotous electric guitars buzzed like industrial wasps from the earbuds. When he hit pause on his phone screen, the absence of noise made their home feel like a cave.
Cold and vast.
"I-I have things to say." Her nose wrinkled with embarrassment.
Naruto stepped away from the door, allowing her passage into his room.
It feels like it's been forever since she's stepped foot in here. The posters were all different, and there was an abundance of them plastered along his walls. To her shame, the ceiling over his bed was also well-decorated with the ripped out pages of Gravure models. They all had different looks, different shapes and sizes.
Did he really have no preference?
As she hovered awkwardly in the middle of his room, he took a seat on his bed and patted the empty spot beside him.
She stared, her skepticism all too open.
"Hinata…" His eyes implored her, but when she would still go no closer to him, he was reminded of a life he had thought long-forgotten, back when he was treated like a germ. He shut his mouth, and buried that pain down deep. He couldn't bring himself to say those words. It felt way too pathetic.
His eyes followed her as she headed for his desk and slid the chair out from it. But then she stood there, staring at it too, like it would infect her.
With a growl, he collapsed onto his bed. "You're not going to sit, you're not going to talk--"
"I am going to talk."
"So talk." He laced his fingers behind his head, staring at her pointedly.
She pushed the chair back, and turned towards him, her hands wringing themselves to the point of splintering bones.
"I'm sorry. Neither of us have had a choice in all of this. The only thing we can choose to do is be better to each other."
His pointed look evolved with a lifted eyebrow. "Yeah, we kind of decided that early on, didn't we? I made sure to get along with Neji, and I protected you. It's what I could do. The bullying you endured didn't just stop for no reason."
"I-I know. And what I'm saying is, I'm the-the one whose g-given up on--" Her stuttering caused him to sit up.
"Hey, Hinata? Hey, hey, hey," He stood up and walked over to her, his hands clasping over her strangled ones. "It's okay. C'mon, it's okay. Try to breathe," he extricated her hands from each other and squeezed each of them in his own, offering her strength. "Breathe. Breathe."
But that shaky breath she took caused a few tears to let loose, and for her to question her purpose here.
When he wrapped his arms around her shoulders, holding her tight, her mouth smashed against his shoulder, the sobs wouldn't stop. The air was like pins in her throat and she felt so, so itchy.
His bedroom was caked in perfume and sex just as she had always imagined, and she wanted to wipe that all away.
"I c,c,can't be a g,good s,s,sister."
She wanted to love him fully.
He stroked her hair and shushed her.
"You'll be an amazing sister. That little brat already loves you. Hell, sometimes I think I won the lottery myself, y'know?"
She wanted to pound her fists against his chest. Instead she clawed the fabric of his lounge hoodie, because she may not be able to hold onto him like this for much longer.
I don't want to be your sister.
I don't want you for a brother.
These are the things she wishes she could say. With every intention of making it up to him, if he would have her.
Before she came here, she needed to gauge how badly he wanted to be part of this family. But now that he went and said something like that… she doesn't have the heart to take this away from him.
"I-I'll do better, Naruto-lun, I,I,I'll do better."
"Geez, you push yourself hard enough, don't you?" He teased.
In the world she dreams up when her eyes are closed, she's able to press her lips to his, all questions erased from both their minds as they melt into the rightness of each other's bodies.
In reality, this is as far as they can go.
AN: I didn't feel comfortable leaving them all passive-aggressive and whatnot, because I no longer like that part of my writing? I think in the past I was fascinated with the whole concept of 'this is what happens when you let things be', but lately it's not all that fascinating, it actually feels pretty dumb. So maybe this is just one of those stories where it's like, 'Yeah, this ain't working for this'. Also, I used to think communication, even if it's healthy, was boring no matter what. Like, 'Easily solved! There is no story!', but lately my mindset on that has evolved and maybe that's because of exposing myself to better stories and media. Anyways, another short one, unfortunately, but I hope you liked it! This chapter has allowed me to go back to advancing the plot with summaries, so I'm quite looking forward to speeding things up. IDK if there is actual NH juiciness up ahead, but we'll see the story allows. 😅 I really had imagined Hinata getting up to more bold 'hint-dropping hijinks' like she did with her shirt, but it seems like it wrote itself out. :( lesigh.

Haikyuu Captains Dating HC’s
Have some dating headcanons with some of the captains in Haikyuu because i’m not a total simp for captains.
I also kinda got carried away with Kuroo’s- I just love him so much-
Also Bokuto’s is kinda suggestive- so- warning?
--------------------------------------------------
also my requests are open
so you can request characters from BNHA or Haikyuu for headcanons or scenarios
Tumblr media
Daichi Sawamura
Okay
When you start dating this man, you automatically become the mom for the team
Well second mom cause Suga’s the first mom.
You guys meet because you become a manager with Kiyoko and thus start a friendship with Daichi
and it leads on to more-
Will use stupid dad jokes on you when you feel down
Is the type of bf who would send you good night and good morning texts
He acts like an alarm clock for you
He will send you the good morning text at a certain time just to wake you up
Also so you have time to get ready in the morning, cause he’s a loving boyfriend
I expect this guy to be into PDA
But like
it’s just hand holding when you guys are in public
When you guys are alone,
cuddles, hugs, kisses, etc.
but every time you guys do something affectionate the team makes fun of you.
You guys act like an old married couple
Will take you out on the cutest dates
Wear his jersey to one of his games and his receives will be spot on
same with his spikes and serves
Honest to the team you’re a lucky charm so-
“Dai-kun, how are the first years?” You asked your boyfriend as the two of you entered the gym. Only the third and second years were in there, the first years were still taking an exam.
“Hmm, Tsukishima and Kageyama need to work on their interaction with the team, Hinata has been hyper as always, and Yamaguchi has some good progress on his jump serves.” Your black haired lover explained, making you smile at how he talked about his teammates.
“How have Tsukki and Tobio been working together? I think they’re the only ones who can’t sync properly” You said, crossing your arms while watching Nishinoya receive another spike from Tanaka.
“Well,” Daichi started with a deadpan look on his face, “Kageyama and Tsukishima can sync, they just argue over it half of the time.” He finished, making you laugh at the thought of them arguing.
“Mmh, maybe a training exercise for the both of them?” You asked, grabbing one of Daichi’s hands into your own, playing with his fingers.
“That might work, but-” “OI DAI-SAN STOP MAKING US FEEL LONELY” Tanaka cut off Daichi as he saw that you were playing around with the captains fingers.
“YEAH DAICHI-SAN, NOT ALL OF US HAVE AN ADORABLE SHORT GIRLFRIEND” Nishinoya joined in, making you glare at Nishinoya.
“I’M NOT THAT SHORT” You yelled back to the male with spiked hair. “YOU’RE SHORTER THEN ME” Noya yelled back.
Daichi let out a sigh, watching his girlfriend bicker with his teammates with a small chuckle.
“God, I love her so much”
We stan Daichi
HE CAN COOK
Will cook you lunch
In the end
100% husband material
Also call him daddy
Tumblr media
Oikawa Tooru
Now let’s talk about this flat ass man
He loves PDA
Will tell you he loves you
Will grab your hand, pull you onto his lap, kiss you in front of his fangirls-
He means the best-
Loves it when you wear his clothes-
Wear his jersey, his hoodies, his track jacket
He loves it
Cause it shows that you’re his
He’s lowkey possessive
Hates it when you and Iwaizumi team up on him
“Flatass oikawa“ Is your nickname for him
jkjkjk
It’s Tooru
Yes you call him by his first name cause we’re basic bitches here okay
You’re basically the unofficial manager of the team cause you care about them too much
They all love you
Sends you good morning and good night texts with his face
cause he’s like that
And Oiks gets jealous
Will wake you up at three am to take you out to see the stars
and look for aliens
Honestly-
“TOORU OIKAWA DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?“ You exclaimed to your boyfriend as he dragged you out of the window, sitting on the roof at three fourteen in the morning.
“I know it’s late, but Y/n-chan,” The brown haired male started, “there’s a meteor shower and there could be aliens. So we have to watch tonight,” he explained making you sigh.
You knew you weren’t getting out of this.
“Don’t you have morning practice?“ You asked, locking your hues with his chocolate coloured ones. He gave you a smile before turning his head up to look at the stars, “Maybe, but that doesn’t concern you,”
You scrunched your eyebrows before hitting Tooru’s shoulder with your own, “It does concern me,” you started, glaring at the male. You were looking at his side profile. “You’re my boyfriend, and I love your team, of course i’m concerned,” you finished making his eyes widen.
Giving you a small smile, he pulled you in to a side hug, leaning his head on your shoulder.
“Let’s just watch the stars tonight and not care about what happens later”
You and Oikawa miss the next day of school cause the both of you are tired from staying up all night-
I don’t think Oikawa can cook
but-
The meals his fan girls give to him-
eat them sis
He’ll never know anyway
His fangirls learn to like you too, because Oikawa likes you
and they like everything Oikawa likes-
though there are some of the delusional fans who think Oiks is just using you
Which he’s not btw
but take care of this baby-
he needs some love
In the end
100% Tooru material
Tumblr media
Kuroo Tetsurou

It makes him feel like a giant
which he is but- ight
LOVES TO KISS YOU TO DIStract you
You’ll be doing homework in his room and he’ll pull you into a breathless kiss and leave you wanting more-
like-
You twirled your mechanical pencil in your fingers, you eyes glanced down at your homework, science.
You weren’t the best at it, nor were you the worst but you still had trouble with it. Taking off your glasses, you rubbed at your temples before trying to solve the equation once more.
Tetsurou glanced into his room, his gold hues stopping at your figure hunched over his desk, homework in front of you. Turning around he got a glass of water and walked into his room once more.
“You’re going to get wrinkles early if you keep doing that face,” The black haired male teased, making you groan and press your forehead against the dark wood of his desk.
“i don’t get how you like science? It’s so boooring,” you groaned, the pencil rolling out of your hand onto the desk.
You heard your boyfriend chuckle before hearing him walk over to you. You raised your head, watching as his golden hues skimmed over the paper before he let out a small ‘pfft’.
“This is easy,” he said before explaining it.
You gasp as you finally get it, pushing Tetsurou’s hands away and grabbing your pencil, you began to scribble  the answer down, only to be pulled into a heated kiss.
Kuroo’s tongue pushing past your lips to meet yours. Your eyes were wide, face slightly pink and hands curled up into loose fists gripping his shirt. You were about to close your eyes before he pulled away, a large smirk formed on his face as he saw you.
“You need to get back to your paper, I guess i’ll leave you alone”
Let’s just say- you did not get the paper finished, but it was a good outcome-
Okay-
I’m like thirsting Kuroo-
So this is long as fuck-

Will cook for you only if you ask
But if oyu cook for him-

Hyper boy loves PDA

His spikes will be on p o i n t
You and Akaashi are buddies
You both have to deal with this hyper male-
Like Kuroo he loves your thighs
if the two of you are cuddling-
hands on thighs
and ass-
He loves to hold you-
Sends you good morning texts at six in the morning
and good night texts at nine pm
This man actually sleeps i think-
The team loves you
You raise bokuto from his lowest on the court.
Will state how much he loves you everyday
“Y/N I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK“
“Y/N I LOVE YOU MORE THEN HINATA LOVES VOLLEYBALL“
yk?
Will get very whiny when you try to do something other then love him
Becomes depressed bokuto until you give him the love and affection he deserves.
Bokuto wasn’t at his best today at all. His spikes were off, his serves either hit the net or went out of bounce. Why, you might ask. well today you decided to get up early without waking up your boyfriend and go to school without waking him up.
You walked into practice, scrolling threw something on your phone. Quickly looking up you gave the team a small smile before going to sit on the benches, your eyes going back to your phone.
Bokuto let out another groan as you did’t give him a hug or a kiss or any type of affection. Akaashi soon caught on to what you were doing and marched over to where you were on the bench.
“Y/n-san stop ignoring bokuto-san,” the dark haired male said making you look up at his tall figure before giving him a small laugh. “how did you figure me out?” you asked while standing up and brushing your skirt.
“Bokuto gets in his depressed mode when you ignore him,” The younger male stated before turning his body so you could see the spiked haired male whining.
You gave the second year a smile before walking over to your whining boyfriend.
“kou are you alright?” you asked pressing a kiss to his cheek as he was hunched over. Golden hues locked into yours before Bokuto pulled you into his muscular chest.
“Are you done ignoring me?” his whispered as he nipped your ear.
“Yes sir“ you quietly responded, eyes darting around, making sure no one was looking at the two of you.
“that’s a good girl, now go over there and wait for me. You’ll get what you deserve after practice”

AGSAHIJS one of my fav requests in a minute, I hope you enjoy!
Dancing in the Rain w/ Sugawara and Hinata
----------------------------------------------------
Sugawara
“Stop looking at me like that!”
“Oh, don’t mind me- it’s not like this is completely your fault or anything.”
Suga whines at your deadpan tone, and you chuckle a little at the fact that the setter had wrapped you up in his arms from behind as a sign for asking for forgiveness. You look out into the pouring rain before sighing, palming your face.
Maybe if you had left school on time, then this predicament wouldn’t be happening- the downpour was to be expected, but now you two remained under the roof of the volleyball club entrance after school hours, Suga being the last to shower and get out of the locker rooms from his team. You had waited, seeing pretty much everyone else leave before the rain could hit.
“Should we wait it out?” You bite your lip, reaching a hand into the heavy shower before laughing at the sight of Tanaka and Noya darting through the rain shamelessly, bags over their heads from a distance. “I don’t think any umbrella would-”
“Y/N.” Sugawara puts his chin atop your head, seemingly deep in thought as his arms drape around your waist before an idea pops in to the vice-president’s head.
“Why don’t we make the most out of this?”
At your confused stare, the gray-haired setter smiles a closed-eye smile at you before letting you go and shrugging off his black school jacket, letting it lie in a heap on the cement. You catch on immediately, sweat dropping as he motions for you to do the same.
“Suga I’m not running through the rain like those two-”
“Silly.” Suga clicks his tongue, walking up to you before helping you shrug your own jacket off, your confused look simply being responsed to with a small, nervous grin at the prospect of rejection.
 “Let’s dance?”
You blink once. And then twice before looking out into the downpour, noting it was a little lighter before shaking your head no.
“What if-?”
“No what ifs.” Suga puts a finger to your lips before gently taking your hand in his. “Let’s live a little, love.”
“Something about this is telling me this isn’t Daichi-approved-” You protest as Suga shakes his head with a small smile at your antics, hand warm against yours as he gently guides you into the showering rain.
“And something about what you just said is telling me that I don’t really care.” Suga responds, twirling you around as you slowly try to get used to the cold feeling, a laugh bubbling up in your throat as he twirls you back into him. You place a hand on his chest, voice falling to a smaller octave.
“I...don’t really know how to dance.”
“Even better. Follow my lead.” Suga’s smile is warm and making your heart race, the cold feeling of now lighter rain unnoticeable on your skin as you find your lips curling up into a smile.
You giggle as he spins you around, hand secure on your waist that was oddly hot through your school-shirt as Suga guides you through a non-existent beat, humming dramatically before you clench the back of his shirt to get him to pause.
“What song are you even dancing to?”
“Are you insulting my musical expertise?” Suga hums as he dips you, grinning at the laughs that slip your lips as the rain pelts softly on your cheeks.
“What expertise?” You protest when he lifts you up again, Suga gasping in mock-offense before shaking his head.
“That’s it.”
“What-?”
“I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna lift you.”
“Sugawara Koushi don’t you dare-”
“Hm? What’s that? The rain’s too loud- I can’t hear you.” Suga tilts his head as you yelp, fake-angry protests filling Suga’s ears as he lifts you by the waist overhead, holding you out from a distance-
and then he pauses, amused smile dying on his lips.
Hazel eyes stare at you as your laughs die down, the cold rain now more noticeable than ever as a shiver gets sent down your spine, Suga’s usual playful glint now looking at you in complete, serious adoration.
“Y/N-”
“Put me down.” You say softly, smiling when he complies and lowers you slowly so his hands find your waist when your feet find the floor, raindrops falling from his gray hair as your thumb absent-mindedly traces over the mole near his eye, one hand on his chest through his soaked shirt.
“Isn’t this romantic?” His words are hushed as his usual grin is softer, face nearing yours with every second as you roll your eyes.
“Shut up and kiss me, dimwit.”
“Your words are so seductive, my sweet.”
You giggle into the kiss as he closes the distance, Suga’s large, precise hand coming to push gently on the small of your back so your bodies were pressed together. The heat radiating off the two of you was so warm, the juxtaposition with the rain making the kiss that more intense as Suga smiles into it.
“If I get sick I’m suing you.” Is what you whisper when he pulls back a few inches, Suga merely shrugging before his lips find your ear.
“Bold of you assume that wasn’t my plan all along so I could take care of you.”
“Really?” You blink as Suga cups your face, his forehead touching yours. “Because I wouldn’t take care of you-”
“Ouch.”
“I’m kidding.” You laugh, the rain seeming to lift even more as you droop your arms lazily around his neck. “Let’s get out of the rain, yeah?”
Suga sighs as if that were the biggest inconvenience ever, allowing you to tug him back to safety as you pull your hair into a messy, wet bun before glancing up at your staring boyfriend and frowning.
“What?”
“Nothing. You’re just too beautiful.” Suga hums as he drapes his bigger jacket around you, and you roll your eyes as Suga looks down at you seriously, hands not letting go of the sides of his coat as his hazel eyes seem to bore into you.
“A-Again?” You squeak as Suga nears you, causing the setter to simply chuckle through his nose, shaking his head before pulling you into a tight embrace.
“God, I love you so much.”
“I-”
“What the hell are you two numbskulls doing? Go home already!”
You both simutaneously flinch at the sound of the captain’s voice, causing you to look up in astonishment as Daichi rubs the back of his neck in irriation.
“And why are you two soaking wet?!”
“Why are you even here-?”
“Love, we should run.”
“What?” You manage out as Suga grabs all your things and darts off into the direction of the school exit as he laughs through Daichi’s scolding to get back, hand tightening around yours as you blink owlishly at the situation.
“I told you it wasn’t Daichi-approved!”
“I never said it was either!”
And so Sugawara Koushi ran off with you from his scary best friend , both of you sopping wet with laughter built up in your throat-
the sky now clear of any kind of rain.
Waiting it out would have been boring, anyways.
Hinata
“I’m so sorry Y/N-chan! I promise I’ll make it up-”
“Stop apologizing, Shou.” You nudge the orange-haired boy as you both stare out into the downpour, the pout on Hinata’s lips matching the evident depression in his eyes as he visibly sulks.
How could this happen? All Hinata wanted was to take you out on a date, and after weeks of finally working up the courage to ask you-
he forgot to check the weather.
“GAH! Why am I such an idiot?”
“Shouyo-”
“I brought you all the way to this fancy restaurant only for it to be closed-”
“Shou!”
“I get it if you hate me, I really do-”
“Hinata!” You cut him off, using his surname before laughing at the confused look he casts you after beating himself up. Shaking your head, you pull at the collar of the expensive coat he was wearing, knowing he probably rented it for the night in an attempt to give you what he thought you wanted-
You look at him sternly, Hinata swallowing back the lump in his throat as he stops freaking out. Your features soften as you sigh, putting a careful hand on the wing spiker’s cheek gently, as if any sudden movement would send him running-
“I don’t want you to think you have to try so hard for me.” The words you utter make a confused Hinata blink in bewilderment, but you continue anyways. “Look, I’m okay with chilling in hoodies and grabbing some meat buns down at the convenience store. So please don’t think you have to be someone you’re not to get me to like you, because I already do.”
You hold back a chuckle as Hinata’s eyes well up with unshed tears, the orange-haired boy turning around to wipe at his eyes in frustration that the tears had even emerged before turning back to you. His apricot eyes cast towards the floor, bottom lip trembling as you resist the urge to hug him.
“But you deserve the best, Y/N-chan-!”
“And you are the best, Shou. I’m really happy you invited me out tonight, okay?”
“But the night’s over now-”
“Who said that?” Your teasing smile manages to lift Hinata’s spirits immediately, but his face contorts into a confused one as you begin to take your shoes off.
“What are you doing...?”
“Take off that coat, Shou- no need to get it drenched and have to drop a few hundred dollars-”
“W-WHAT?!” Hinata stutters as you help him shrug off his coat. “I-Isn’t this too soon-”
He yelps as you thump his forehead, arching a brow while sweat dropping. “What did you think I was talking about? We’re going to dance in the rain, idiot.”
“Dance in the...?” Hinata’s confused stare makes you roll your eyes before tugging on his sleeve, smile gracing your lips as the race in Hinata’s chest finally eases, allowing you to tug him into the drizzling water.
“Right...dancing...” Hinata mumbles to himself as he awkwardly stands in front of you, and you laugh before taking both of his hands in yours, the warmth of his palms contrasting with the icy feeling of the rain.
“Here. I’m no pro, but I’ll start.” You secure his hands on your waist as a blush overtakes the apricot-haired boy’s features. Draping your arms around his neck, you tug him closer, Hinata feeling his breath hitch at the close proximity before looking everywhere but you.
“Relax.” You hug him to your body, ignoring the wet drops of rain slipping down your back as you rest your chin on his shoulder as you sway to the non-existent music. “You wanted to make it up to me, right?”
“Y/N.”
“Hm?”
“I’m really gonna dance with you now, you got that?”
Your eyes widen when Hinata begins to really dance, guiding you through the rain with a tension in his muscles that visibly relaxed when you seemed to be enjoying it. On the first spin, you hold his outsretched hand out before he twirls you back into him, your back against his chest as you giggle.
“Since when can you do anything other than volleyball?” You tease as Hinata laughs, his voice now the one of the boy you loved instead of who he was trying to be before, securing his hands on your waist again.
“Natsu makes me dance ‘er around sometimes’.” Hinata replies, stepping carefully through a light cascade of rain as the moisture drenches his orange locks, hands gripping your waist tightly as he smiles fondly at you. “Never knew all that practicing would pay off.”
“Good with kids too?” You mock-gasp as Hinata dips you. “Where have you been all my life?”
“Shush.” Hinata mumbles as his ears turn a bright red, only prompting you further as you continue to follow his lead with a quirk in your lips.
“No really, you took so long to ask me out because why?”
“Y/N stop teasin’ me...”
“You’re just so cute-”
“Y/N.” Hinata stops his movements, a serious edge to the usually rambunctious boy’s eyes as you still, teases dying in your throat as Hinata moves closer to you, hands tightening on your waist.
You clench your eyes shut, heartbeat in your ears as you feel his breath against your lips-
only to be turned around by the shoulders, the feeling of Hinata’s shaky heads pooling your hair into his hands.
“Y-Your hair! Ahaha we don’t want this to get wet, do we-?”
You chuckle nervously, passing a hairtie back to Hinata as you try to hide your dissappointment. Hinata pulls your hair into a ponytail, biting his lip as he internally curses at the lost chance.
“Let’s rest?” You offer after thanking him, walking back in front of the closed restaurant as Hinata stays in the rain for a minute, making a split-second decision before running past you to grab his jacket off the floor.
You blink as he fastens the clasp under your chin, the expensive material giving you warmth as you frown, not seeing the slight tremble and fear in Hinata’s eyes as he does so.
“Shouyo, I shouldn’t get this wet-”
His lips press tightly against yours before your protest can slip your lips fully.
As soon as he kissed you, he was pulling back, looking down the street while laughing a bit too loudly, not seeing that a wide smile had overtaken your features before he stutters out.
“M-Meat buns!”
At your tilted head, he slaps the back of his neck.
“You haven’t eaten yet, right?! I’ll be back in five- no three minutes top-”
“Shou-”
“I’ll run! I’m running, so uh- stay warm, don’t get sick okay!” You stifle a giggle when he trips as he begins to dash off. “You better not get sick!”
You laugh to yourself, putting your chin in your palm as you watch Hinata speed down the street and turning into a nearby convenience store, a pink hue dusting across your cheeks as you soak in the warmth of the rented coat.
The night wasn’t over, after all.

Adriah Thomas + “Make you mine”
“This is the 16th Oneshot for the Valentines Day Event!! Thank you so much for requesting!!
ALSO, this is the 3rd Oneshot for Adriah Thomas, I am so happy that people are requesting him!!! He is the ~love of my life~
**So uh...this turned out really long, but I don’t regret it, enjoy~**
Character: Adriah Thomas x reader
Tumblr media
You waved to your neighbor before opening the door to your apartment, Adriah sighing as he shook his head, entering his own. For the past 6 months Adriah Thomas, a starting middle blocker for the MSBY Black Jackals a division 1 sports team has been hopelessly pining after his neighbor, who he could never seem to talk to. This all started when you moved about 8 months ago, you had had been trying to move some stuff up, but the elevator was under maintenance and you lived on the 7th floor. Luckily, the sweet old Land lady let you know about the sweet, strong, handsome young man that lived in the apartment to the right of yours.
You then knocked on his door with a smile, apologizing for disturbing him as you asked if he wouldn’t mind helping you. To this day he never could forget the flip his stomach did when he first saw you, and he did everything he could that day to keep himself from making a fool in front of you. He did not, and by the end of the day you had happily asked him to be friends. Friends because you had a boyfriend.
Over the next few months you and Adriah became close- not too close of course, you had a boyfriend and even if he had developed feelings for you he’d never actively pursue a taken woman. But that didn’t stop him from being a good friend. Adriah quickly became someone you could always go to, for a friendly chat, an uplifting conversation, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear. Honestly, the list went on. He was there when your boyfriend decided he couldn’t be, he was there when your boyfriend would walk all over your feelings, he was there when your boyfriend would make you feel worthless.
If he was being honest with himself, he was being a better boyfriend to you then your actual boyfriend was, and you didn’t even know he had feelings for you! It hurt him to watch, it really did. And he tried to give you his advice, to leave him, that you were so much better than him, that you deserved so much better. But no matter what, all it took was a half-hearted apology and some day-old flowers and you’d forgive him like nothing happened.
Your boyfriend, Daiki Matsumoto. He was some ‘big time’ financial advisor for a financing company or, something like that. You didn’t talk about him a lot and Adriah didn’t ask. You spoke about him like he hung the stars in the sky, that is when he was on a winning streak as a boyfriend, which by Adriah’s count wasn’t often. Apparently you and Daiki had met in your junior year of college and you had been together since then.
3 years had passed, and you were still with him despite how frustrating and downright toxic it had gotten. It wasn’t abusive, Adriah definitely would have gotten more seriously involved then. But it wasn’t healthy either and it hurt him to see you have to go through that. At first he had been trying not to judge Daiki based off of what you had said, wanting to be able to make a clear and precise conclusion about him when he got to actually meet him....
Until he actually met him and realized he wasn’t that bad. He was worse. Adriah had gone out with the rest of MSBY, nothing too crazy because they are professional athletes, just out to a nice bar to have a drink or two and have some fun. Adriah had been sat at the table with Barnes, Inunaki and Meian while the MSBY 4 attempted to play pool, Bokuto & Hinata hilariously demolishing Atsumu & Sakusa.
The evening had been very pleasant. Definitely a breath of fresh air from their usually busy schedules. All had been going very well until another party had walked in, you and Daiki being among the other guests. Adriah had sent a smile and a friendly wave towards you, one you had happily returned. It was about an hour later, it was only 7:05, so the night was still young. Adriah had waited, not wanting to disturb you in case you were on a date until he excused himself from the table going to say hi to you where you sat at the bar.
“Hey Y/n.” The ‘smile’ you had been wearing earlier instantly turned bright, finally reaching your eyes as you turned to face him on the bar stool you sat at. He also noticed that you had been sitting there alone, when you came with at least 10 other people. “What happened to the group you were with...?” You sighed as you looked down, slightly turning so you could lean one of your elbows on the polished bar top stirring the small straw around in your drink.
“They weren’t really my group to begin with...just some of Daiki’s friends from work.” He nodded, him gesturing to the seat beside you which you invited him to sit in. It’s not like anyone was going to be joining you. You and Adriah talked for a good hour before someone cleared their throat behind you. You turned, “Oh! Daiki, this is my neighbor, Adriah Thomas. He’s here-” “I know...MSBY, right?”
Adriah nodded his head, putting on a fake smile to hide the clench of his jaw or the way his hand tightened around his glass. “You must be Matsumoto?” Daiki had a sort of, smug, smile as he slowly nodded, coming to stand behind you as he wrapped a hand around your shoulders. “You’re a professional volleyball player, huh? That’s certainly...interesting. I imagine it’s not very stable.” Adriah took a moment to collect himself. He wasn’t known for his temper like Inunaki, and he wasn’t known for intimidation like Meian.
But he could only take so much from someone he already didn’t like. “No more than any other job, but it pays the bills.” Daiki simply hummed, sounding unimpressed as he played with a piece of your hair, paying no attention to the fact he had insulted one of your close friends right in front of you. Adriah could care less that it was towards him, but he was ticked that Daiki would cause a scene without thinking of how you were feeling. “Anyways, I suppose it’s about time we go, it was nice meeting you-...I’m sorry, what was your name?”
Adriah offered a tight lipped smile, standing and effectively towering over the man. You coughed to hide the snicker that was sure to break through at the straight intimidation you saw in your boyfriends eyes. “Adriah Thomas, goodbye Matsumoto. I’ll see you around Y/n.” Adriah returned to his table, pretending to ignore the amused look he got from Inunaki and the widened eyes of Meian and Barnes, the other 4 still immersed in their ‘game’.
That all went down about 2 months ago, and Adriah’s opinion on your boyfriend had not changed. Adriah had been sitting on his couch, watching some TV. It was late, about 10:00 so he was gonna go to bed soon anyways. He turned the TV off when he started to doze off, being 6′7 it was never a good idea to fall asleep on the couch. He stood and stretched, cracking his back before he started to close everything down. He went to the door to put on the chain and make sure it’s locked when he heard your voice, you were yelling at someone.
Not wasting a minute he pulled a hoodie over his head and clumsily slipped on some shoes, before he unlatched his door and exited into the hallway. He hadn’t been able to talk to you lately due to MSBY being mid-season and his schedule as busy as ever. So, he hadn’t been able to learn that, “I said we’re done, Matsumoto! I meant what I said last week, we are finished!”
....You had broken up with Daiki....yOU HAD BROKEN UP WITH DAIKI.
“I asked you to leave, so please go. You have no reason to be here-” “I have every reason to be here you ungrateful witch! After everything I did for you and you have the audacity to leave?!” He brought his hand up, about to smack you when the deafening sound on skin on skin made you jump.
Only it wasn’t from you.
You opened your eyes to see Daiki grimacing, you saw a large hand gripping his wrist, your e/c eyes followed the wrist to see, “...Adriah....?” Daiki snarled, “You, stay out of this. This doesn’t concern-” “She asked you to leave.” You felt your heart stop at how low of a voice he was using, dark stare directed straight at Daiki, no hesitation present. Daiki mumbled out some curses, insults none of it mattered, as he scrambled out of the hallway, slamming the door to the stairs shut.
Adriah breathed out a breath of relief before the usual softness he typically carried returned. “He didn’t hurt you, did he?” You shook your head, “No, no he didn’t..” You both stood there in silence, both wanting to say something but not knowing how. “Y/n.” You looked up to meet his eyes, one of his large hands coming to rest on your face. Your heart started beating furiously in your chest, the butterflies you got when you first met him returning.
“Don’t go back to him..please..there are better people out there, and you deserve so, so much better...” You smiled, still a little shaken from what had just happened. “..I’m sorry you got dragged into that...I probably caused you a lot of problems. That seems to be the only thing I do.” You bitterly laughed as tears slowly fell down your cheeks, you struggling to hold in the sobs. Shaking his head Adriah leaned down further, resting his forehead on yours as you cried, hands coming to clutch at the sweat shirt he wore.
“...That’s the silliest thing I’ve heard all day, and I spent most of it with Bokuto and Atsumu.” You laughed at that, ‘mission accomplished’ Adriah smiled as his other hand came to cup your face as well, wiping the tears that were, albeit slowing down, still falling. “You are so sweet Adriah...you..you deserve someone real- really nice...and-and better....” Adriah shifted his gaze to meet yours, the proximity, or rather lack of it, between you making your already beating heart beat that much faster.
He smiled as he stroked your cheekbone, leaning in close. His lips were so close, so close to your own as he spoke. “I already have....” Tilting his head he secured his lips on yours, kissing you with all of the softness and love he could, trying to let you know just how much he cared about you, how much he truly loved you. Pulling away from the kiss he backed up a bit so he could look you in the eye.
“You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me, I mean that...I could never get someone better because there is no one better...I’m sorry if you don’t feel the same, and it’s okay if you don’t, I probably made things really weird..I can go-” He almost stumbled back at the sheer force of you throwing yourself at him, clutching onto him for dear life as you shook your head. “I feel the same, I do I promise!” Smiling, Adriah wrapped his arms around you, holding you in the hallway of the apartment building you both lived in.
Later, you’d probably kick yourself for dragging the relationship with Daiki on for so long. Adriah laughing as you hit his arm, you telling him he should have told you sooner. But one of the many things you would learn about Adriah Thomas was as determined and patient as he was, he easily had the biggest heart of any man you had ever met.  And as you entered this new relationship you couldn’t help but hope that it would be your last, and the ring that sat in a box in his pocket was proof he would make that dream a reality.

karasuno and nekoma’s manager with an ed and selfharm
req: um hello 👉🏼👈🏼 I saw you were doing emergency requests and, unless you're uncomfy with it, could i request karasuno and nekoma comforting their manager who has an eating disorder (anorexia) and/or self harms? ive been going through a tough time with my ed and self harm. if you feel uncomfortable writing this, its totally fine i understand! have a good day/night 💕
me: ofc baby! i’m glad you trusted me in this and i hope you know that you’re amazing and deserve to be happy. keep on going, if you’ve hit the bottom now you can only go better :)) if you ever need to talk just dm me or send it here anonymously :)
warnings: eating disorder and self harm,,, but it all ends up being fluff bc baby here needs it
oh god i’m here after finishing it i might have made it too angsty shit
also yes i’m still working on my other requests but as you’ve seen this is an emergency req and somehow i managed to pull out some ideas while i was taking a shower and come up with something as fast as i could
btw i feel i focused more in the ed part than in the self harm part so if you want me to rewrite this i'll do it gladly! <33
another note: at first i had written one paragraph in female, and i obviously had to change it, but i didn’t know how to change female volleyball team to something neutral, so i just created this miyagi under 18 volleyball group where you happened to play :))
Tumblr media
karasuno
– ok what happened is that you used to do volleyball, though not in highschool, but in a group, because you had forgotten to sign up for the club and when you realised, it was too late
– but uH
– well
– it happened that you had to stop playing it because of an injury on your first year of highschool (you were a second year)
– kiyoko knew you because her cousin was friends with you, and when she learned that you did know volleyball, she didn’t hesitate to ask you to join her and yachi
– so there you were, one month after recruiting you, you had developed friendships with everyone and the whole team adored you
– but they didn’t know about your habits, and the pants and jacket you wore everytime to the gym covered enough to not look suspicious
– so daichi didn’t think there would be a problem about organizing a trip to the beach
– at first you were going to turn the invitation, but the look yachi, hinata and noya gave you made you bit your inner cheek and say yes
– well, you could always stay under the umbrella and read something, and maybe even talk with tsukki or ennoshita
– the point is, you weren’t going to show your thighs, much less take a bath. and you didn’t have a problem! your body had no reserves of fat, which made your body not be able to preserve any heat
– i’m pretty sure i read that you can’t preserve heat in your body which makes you grow more hair somewhere but if i’m wrong please call me out
– if hinata or yamaguchi asked you why were you wearing long jeans, you could just tell them you hadn’t shaved that day
– your plan was going to be alright, you had it under control
– so the day arrived.
– you were in a hoodie and jeans, just like you planned
– i mean, it wasn’t even summer, the volleyball idiots just happened to be too warm to be able to go to the beach in may
– so there wasn’t anything odd
– or so you thought
“pfff are you going to make a sandman y/n?” asked tsukki
“oh, no i-”
“yeah y/n! it’s too hot to be wearing hoodies!”
“oi! let her wear what she wants” said daichi
– bless him tbh
– so you sat in your towel and started thinking
"you have it all under control” you muttered to yourself, not knowing ennoshita was listening
“what?” he asked
“oh, it’s nothing” you brushed off
“stupid! you almost discover yourself!” you scolded in your mind
– appart from that. no one seemed to know anything
– so you sent the thought to the back of your mind and took out a book
– ahh it was a nice day
– you hadn’t had to eat anything and the coke you had had earlier was enough to keep you up so you didn’t have to ingest anything else, and you hadn’t had any urges so your wounds from yesterday were already healing
– but
– somehow, the temperature started rising
– and, without thinking about it, you rolled your sleeves a bit up
– suga almost fainted when he saw, and ennoshita had to keep him from going there and lecture you
– you hadn’t noticed any of this so you kept reading
“we should see how y/n behaves and talk to her accordingly” told ennoshita to suga, who nodded
– when you realised you had rolled up your sleeves, showing your skinny arm and some of your wounds, you panicked. but no one had told you anything, and you knew that if anyone knew they would’ve told you anything, so you reminded yourself to be more careful
– oh, how wrong you were
“do you want some onigiri, y/n?” kageyama asked, handing you one. it smelled amazing, and you had to dig your nails on your palms before denying
“no thanks” you said with a smile
“but these were made by my mom!” said hinata “you have to try them out!”
– one bite didn’t hurt, did it?
“yes it does” you told yourself
– you shook your head and told them you were going on a walk
– hopefully they’d be too distracted on eating that they wouldn’t think about it too much
– and tsukki, of all people, asked if he could go with you. you didn’t want to leave suspicions so you accepted
– you didn’t know, but he had realised that the amount of food you ate was too little, even for him, and that sometimes you seemed to make faces when noya would drag you by the arm
– so when he saw the two moms of the team panicking over you, and your rolled up sleeves, he confirmed it
“ennoshita-san, sugawara-san, i’ve seen you’ve realised about y/n... habits” he said. ennoshita looking at him in surprise. “i was thinking about talking to them later, since they’ll probably run away as soon as the two simpletons bring the food”
“mmmm” nodded suga. “be careful though, we don’t really know about how far the situation has gone”
– so there he was, walking with you asking himself how to bring the topic
– you were thinking about what excuse to use if he happened to know, when you felt your legs fail and almost drop you
– this looks like a tsukki hc wtf i’m sorry hol on
– anyway so this guy ends up dragging you and saying things you can’t even focus on because you don’t have the energy
– hinata and noya panic and ask if you’re going to be okay
– daichi calms them while suga and asahi help you sit down
“what happened?” asks
– you’re about to pull off an excuse when ennoshita talks lowly enough so only daichi suga asahi and you can hear
“can’t you see?” he says you think he’s disgusted but he’s actually worried and mad that no one had realised before “y/n isn’t okay, they haven’t eaten yet, and the wounds in their arms are affecting them
– you felt your tears appear
– suga tried comforting you by rubbing his hand in your back
“it’s okay, we’ll figure something out” he said
– then you started crying, and hinata panicked for the second time and ran to hug you
“i’m sorry i’m not enough” you said between sobs. you were frustrated with yourself and started to feel the urge to rip off the skin that had formed in your wounds
– both suga and daichi looked at you, while hinata hugged you tighter, as if you were going to leave
“what do you mean?” asked kageyama, he was behind asahi, who had been looking at you with pity
“i don’t want your pity” you thought, asahi smiled at you even though you probably had sent him a death glare
“i’m...” you started, but shut yourself as you didn’t know what to say.
“oi! y/n!” called tanaka, a bit harshly. daichi stiffened as he thought how tanaka was sometimes too brute with words “you’re beautiful as hell!” he said punching the air
“heck yeah!” said noya, jumping “you’re the most beautiful person i’ve seen!”
“y/n you’re so cute! when you enter the gym is like whaaaam and... uhhh” started hinata “and booooooom” he said flailing his hands around
– you laughed a bit
– daichi smiled relieved
– maybe the pair knew how to handle
– that day ended up you getting hugged by everyone and ennoshita staying with you while wathcing noya and hinata bully tsukki splashing water to him while yamaguchi screamed ‘tsukki!!!!’
“you know y/n,” he started. asahi was on your other side “you can always count on us” he said while smiling “you helped us getting back to volleyball, even though you were still on your club and probably thought some coward first years wouldn’t be worthy. i think we owe you that one” he said. you remembered that. he had stumbled across you, the intimidating first year setter who had saved the current Under 18 Miyagi prefecture Volleyball Club from lacking a setter, how you had heard sometimes. ah, you missed these times. you hadn’t entered the shit hole that was now, and your mood had always been bright.
– you smiled and muttered a “thank you”
– now, noya and tanaka keep track of you and how you’re feeling while ennoshita asks you how are you everytime your class ends, since you were in the same class.
– the third years now take turns to compliment you everyday. and i mean EVERY day
“hey y/n! you look very pretty today” says asahi while blushing. behind you, daichi and suga give him a thumbs up
“damn! these stats look really neat!” says hinata
“y/n was the one arranging them boke, of course they look neat” says kageyama
– everyday team hugs
– kiyoko hugs>>>>
– yachi ends up offering some of her food, but never complains nor pushes you if you’re not feeling like eating that day
– after a while, you start feeling way better, and even build up the courage to ask for help, which makes sugamama proud
– tanaka defo cries when you announce you’ll be visiting a therapist two days a week
– this turned to be ennoshita and tsukki hcs i’m so sorry-
nekoma
– so kuroo, being the eighty years old he is (and sometimes kind of a mom, even tho the official one is yaku), he always reminded everyone to eat their food and drink water, and being so persistent, he thought everyone took care of themselves, especially their precious manager that tora had been whipped by when he knew nekoma did in fact have a manager
– but oh, boy
– he didn’t know about your problems with food and how you punished yourself
– kenma already knew about it. he had found you in the gym bathroom when you were purging (ik the ones who purge are more tended to be bulimic, but i really didn’t know how to make this happen, sowwy) after eating for the first time in twenty hours a few months ago, but he had promised to not say anything as he knew these things weren’t to take lightly
– but he did check up on your mood and asked you if you felt better or worse than the day before
– he did in fact, felt bad about not being able to help you in any other way, but he genuinely didn’t know how to talk about it properly with you and he didn’t want to hit a nerve
– kuroo surprisingly hadn’t discovered anything, even though you weren’t the most secretive about it and he was quite intuitive in these topics
– until shinzen training camp
– the coaches had decided to pull a two weeks training camp, somehow, and, as always, your team was invited
– you weren’t worried, you had already gone through two years full of training camps and you were a pro at choosing the food at the cafeteria with the least calories, usually giving half of it to yukie
– the first week went alright. kenma kept sneaking to the sidelines to ask you how were you feeling that day, and yukie ate the halves of your food. so far, training camp was going quite well. you had had only felt a few urges you could perfectly satisfy by sinking your nails in your thighs, and brush it off as nervousness
– however, the second week was a complete disaster
– your thoughts hit you like the bus hit regina george, and ended up almost banging your head against the wall in order to shut down those feelings, and it only had been two hours since you had woken up
– as soon as lunch started, you felt like puking when you felt the smell of the food. not even the low calories noodles could shut the feeling
– so you ended up almost having a panick attack, which you were able to stop as soon as you felt the familiar numbness that had taken over your body countless times
– but you still ran away to calm yourself in a less crowded place
– the third years were worried. although they had been with you three years, they had never seen you run with such look in the face, and ended up sending kai to ask you, since they didn’t want to crowd and overwhelm you
“y/n?” asked while blushing because he was entering in the managers bathroom (bless him)
– he found you swinging yourself in the last bathroom, trying to block everything in your surroundings. there were tears in your eyes, now pressed and closed, and you were hugging yourself putting your forehead (which i wanna kith bc YOU DESERVE THE WORLD OKAY) against your knees and your face between your legs. you hadn’t seen him
– he didn’t move as he didn’t want to scare you, you seemed really really distressed, you were hyperventilating and rubbing your ahdns up your arms, trying to find some heat
– when you felt better, although you were still shaking, you saw him, smiling fondly in aim to ensure you that everything was going to be alright
“s-sorry...” you said, looking down. he looked at you like asking what were you talking about. “i... i uhhh... i ruined your lunch... sorry about that”
“oh! don’t worry about that y/n, how are you feeling right now?” he asked, he had crouched down to hug you and look at you, and was now rubbing the back of your hands in a really soothing way
“i don’t really know...” you said, lost
– and the other barged down but more lowkey
“y/n! are you okay? are you feeling alright?” asked yaku, looking at you worried
“yakkun” said kuroo, warning that he was in fact, acting out of his motherly instints and overwhelming you
– so you stayed there with them feeling more and more calmed until you built up the courage to get up and walk to the sink, where you splashed your face with water and let the cold of it relax you. you felt like you had to explain a few things, even though you had the feeling that they knew already
“i owe you guys an explanation” you said
“it’s okay y/n, you don’t owe us anything-”
“kuroo, i do” you said, sharply. you were familiar with them, and they had already seen you changning yourself (don’t even ask about this, it just happened in your first year when you hadn’t hit rock bottom and still felt alright with your body, so you hadn’t mind when the managers changing room was locked and you changed on the club room). but it didn’t mean they weren’t weirded out when you started pulling down your pants, showing them the scars and wounds that covered most of your skinny thighs.
– they were confused, and then, when they connectted the dots, concern took over their faces
“y/n...” said yaku, hugging you. it was weird by the fact that your pants were down, but you really didn’t mind at this point.
“it’s alright” you said, but the tears streaming down your face again said otherwise
“how much has this been going on?” asked kuroo, not sounding with an angry tone, but more of a concerned one.
“um...” you rubbed the back of your neck “ i started feeling the urges in the middle of the second year...”
– yaku tightened the hug, warming you
“it’s okay, you can count on us” he said
– when you felt better, lunch had already ended, but kenma had kept a tray with a bit of everything for you in case you needed something, which you did, but didn’t want to eat.
– but the look in kuroo’s face and the warming hand that kai had placed in your back made you feel better and helped you push down the feeling of grossness, so you took a bit of a few things
– the third years stuck around you the rest of the week, sending smiles or reassurance everytime you felt negatively
– none of the first years know anything, but kuroo has imposed a rule of not talking about certain topics such as body types or calories, and yaku ripped the posters of girls in bikinis off the walls of the clubroom
– tora doesn’t know the full story, but he now praises you (as he should) and is more careful with what does he say
– kenma keeps asking you how are you doing, with the addition of fukunaga looking at you with platonic love eyes (i hope y’all know what i mean or ima end up embarrashing myself-)
– kuroo tells you facts about health that make you feel better
“y/n, did you know that stress can give you bad headaches? take a relax day today” says one time, that day, practice ends up early even though it’s saturday (usually the toughest days) and the whole team goes walking around the city (kenma and you pet a cat and lev get shit on by a pigeon)
– shibayama hugs you daily, to which lev joins and inuoka and tamahiko
– the team helps you when you start your medication, and don’t hesitate to sit you down and take your duties when you feel low and have to take a rest, and when you tell them they don’t need you, yaku says “but we want to” heroically, and hands the stack of papers to kuroo
 – aaa you (we) love them so much,,,
– hope i made you feel better! i’m still hesitant about some parts, but i wanted to finish it a soon as possible so i’d be able to post it hihi
– i’m still saying, if you need to talk or feel low, don’t doubt to dm me! i’m open about talking about anything, and i’d love to help in anything that’s possible 🥺. reminder too that you are loved and deserve to be happy, despite what you think! you’re beautiful and you don’t need anyone’s approval to feel as valid as the rest. you’ve got this! <3

Title: The Flowers That Had Torn Them Apart
Author: @gravestone-monarch (Grave)
For: @creepioz
Pairings/Characters: Established Hinanami, Komahina
Ratings/Warnings: Major character death, blood, angst, unrequited love
Prompt: 1) Coffee Shop AU 2) Any Angst 3) Hanahaki’s Disease
Author’s Notes: So, hello there! I’ve never written Komahina or hanahaki before, so I’m sorry if some things seem out of place! (It also doesn’t help I haven’t played SDR2) (this probably isn’t very reassuring huh)
I know I was probably just supposed to pick one prompt, but I looked at the list and the story just clicked in my head
So now you have this!
I really hope you enjoy it! I did *shudders*
rEseArCh
For this so hopefully it’s up to standard!
Also I know it says Hinanami in the tags, it makes sense in the story (this isn’t a hinanami centered story I swear)
Once more, enjoy!! ^^
Komaeda had been getting his lunches at the Jabberwock for as long as he could remember. He practically lived in it at this point. Each day he’d come in, order, sit for an hour and leave. Day in, day out. He was lucky the little coffee shop hadn’t closed yet. Usually he has rotten luck.
But one day, something changed.
The something that would inevitably be the death of him.
He walked in one day and noticed someone new at the counter. Short brown hair, heterochromia, well toned…
Well, he was certainly attractive, Nagito would give him that.
He walked up and stood in the queue, checking his phone for the time. He was here a bit earlier than usual.
“Next!”
His head snapped up as he realised the relatively short queue had depleted.
“Ah, so sorry!” He said to the man.
“No problem. What can we get you today?” The person said.
“Mm… I’ll have the usual.” He said. The cashier raised an eyebrow, then sighed.
“Sir, this is my first day. What’s ‘the usual’?”
“Oh!” Nagito chuckled nervously. “Sorry about that…” he looked down at the person’s nametag. “…Hajime.”
“Mhm, it’s fine. Honestly, it’s already happened three times this morning.”
“Really? That’s almost impressive.”
“Almost, yeah.” Hajime grinned slightly. “Now, what’d you say you wanted?”
“Oh, right! Well…"
He gave Hajime his order, and seeing as there was nobody in the queue behind him, he stood talking to him for a few minutes.
He learned a lot about Hajime in the time he had. He was the same age as Nagito, and actually went to the same college, despite being in different courses. Nagito told him he wasn’t sure what he was planning on doing with his future. Hajime agreed.
"Yeah, not sure either, really. It’s a writing course, so it could really go anywhere. Journalist, author, scriptwriter… you get the point.” Hajime said, Nagito nodding.
“I see! Sure does give a lot of hope, doesn’t it? Knowing you’re not stuck on one path… it’s great!”
Hajime looked at him. “Yeah, probably. Oh, your order’s ready.” Hajime told him, writing Nagito’s name on the cup.
“Oh! Thank you so much, Hajime.”
“No problem. That’ll be ¥360.”
Nagito passed over the money as Hajime passed him his coffee. Their fingers brushed for just a moment. Neither said anything, but Nagito felt his pale cheeks flush slightly.
“Well, I’ll be sitting over there now. Bye, Hajime.” Nagito said, waving. Why was he waving? Was he on waving terms with this guy?
He was being awkward.
Hajime laughed, shaking his head. “See ya, Nagito.”
Nagito smiled back at him, almost a bit too wide, as he sat down, taking a sip out of his coffee. It tasted slightly different today, but… not in a bad way. It almost tasted better, actually.
“Huh…”
He didn’t pay it much mind, just enjoying the taste as he pulled out his laptop. He had decided to get a bit of work done while he was at the Jabberwock today. His next paper was supposed to be about lesser known or folklore diseases. After a bit of research, he had decided on a certain disease that had caught his attention.
“Now, how do I start this..?” He wondered to himself. After a moment, he opened his document and started typing.
The hanahaki (ha-na-ha-ki) is a fictional disease that affects people with unrequited love.
As he finished his coffee, he saved his work, closing his laptop. As he was about to throw out the cup, something caught his eye. Where he thought his name was, a series of numbers had been scribbled.
You seem cool. Call me, if you want
xxx-xxxx-xxxx
-Hajime
Nagito’s breath hitched. That was Hajime’s number, right? He couldn’t believe it. Hajime gave someone like him his number?
Woah.
He looked back over at the counter, where Hajime had started serving another customer. As he turned around to start his customer’s order, he caught Nagito’s eye. He gave one last smile before turning away.
Nagito smiled, putting the empty cup in his bag. With one last glance back, he left. Until the next day, at least.
Hajime and Nagito got to talking over the next few weeks. Hajime told Nagito his schedule (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) and Nagito made sure to come in on those days, if he couldn’t make it on the others.
They learned a bit more about each other over the weeks. Hajime was born on New Year’s, leading to parties doubling as New Year’s and birthday parties (despite him not always enjoying them.) Nagito was born on April 28; his birth month representing death, sorrow and horrid luck, but his birth date representing increased luck and fortune. As such, he’s always had a weird mix of luck, which Hajime just found kinda funny.
Nagito started getting staff discounts, which was great. Both were born into rich families though, so it didn’t make much difference to either.
Nagito did end up asking why he started working at the Jabberwock if he already had enough money to last him a lifetime. Hajime responded with I’m not really sure. I suppose I just… had a feeling. Besides, what harm could a bit of extra pocket change do?
Nagito got his paper submitted on time. Hajime helped him out at parts, knowing a surprising amount about the disease. Once he finished, Hajime congratulated him with a free meal.
Honestly, Nagito didn’t feel like he deserved it. Hajime’s friendship, he means. Sure, he was kind of frank at times, almost vaguely rude to people he doesn’t like, but he was able to put up with Nagito’s rants about whatever was on his mind, which wasn’t easy, considering his random theories and such.
He was nice.
Nagito knew he was falling for the man. He’d be a fool not to. The man was attractive, nice, understanding… yeah, Nagito definitely had a crush.
The days when Hajime wasn’t in work were the lonely days, as Nagito called them. They just felt emptier, since he started talking to Hajime.
Nagito wasn’t entirely sure what to do about his feelings. Becuase, let’s be honest here. 'Why would Hajime ever like someone like me? Besides, he’s probably straight.’
But he knew he couldn’t keep it in forever. It’d get too much to handle at some point. He was getting distracted in his classes for thoughts of Hajime. So one day, he decided.
He’d just tell Hajime so he could reject him. Get it over with. If he was lucky, maybe Hajime wouldn’t be totally repulsed. Maybe he’d still want to maintain a friendship! Wouldn’t that be great?
So that Saturday, he decided he’d say it.
Now, he was just counting down the days.
Saturday rolled around, and Nagito made his way to the Jabberwock. He probably wouldn’t stay too long today; he’d just say it and leave. But when he walked in, he noticed something.
Hajime wasn’t there.
“Huh..?”
Wasn’t that just his luck?
The day he finally decides to be honest, the object of his affections isn’t even there.
Well, that’s fine too. He can just come back in a few weeks. Maybe a year. Perhaps a century or two. Not too long, right?
He sighed, turning to leave. As he turned though, he slammed right into someone.
“Ah, sorry! I- Nagito?”
Nagito looked up at Hajime, who he had just slammed into.
“Oh, hello Hajime! I’m so sorry about that, I had no right to touch you like that, I-”
“Hey, hey Ko. What’d we say about the self-deprication?” Hajime said, raising an eyebrow.
“R-right. Sorry.”
“It’s fine. Actually, I’m glad I ran into you. I wanted you to meet someone.”
“Ah, has Hajime made a new friend? How wonderful!”
“Haha, you could… yeah, you could say that.” He gestured to the girl beside him, who Nagito hadn’t even registered until now. She had pale pink hair and was wearing a navy hoodie, holding her phone. He could hear faint Tetris music coming from it.
“Nagito, I’d like you to meet Chiaki Nanami, my… my girlfriend.”
Nagito could’ve swore his world just broke.
The floor felt like it was crumbling apart, the walls falling beneath their own weight.
“Hey.” The girl greeted. Both smiled at him like they hadn’t just broken his heart.
Well, they didn’t know, did they?
“A-ah… n-nice to meet you, Nanami… I’m- I’m so sorry, but I really must go. I- I don’t feel the best.” Nagito spit out that lame excuse as he advanced to the door.
“Oh, you need a lift? I could-”
“No-! ahem, I mean… no thanks, Hinata. Thanks for the offer. Bye.”
He pushed the glass door open and walked out, quicker than he had ever walked before. He didn’t live too far away, luckily enough, so he walked home quick enough, just desperate to get away from it all.
“Hm.” Hajime hummed.
“What’s up with him?”
“Not sure… a-anyways, what would you like?”
That night, the flowers started.
It was only a petal at first. He was sitting at his desk, booting up his laptop to take another look at his paper. Something had been bugging him about it, he just wasn’t sure what.
This wasn’t the first thing he’d done when he got home. His pillow was definitely tear-stained and he’d run his box of tissues dry. He wouldn’t admit that to anyone, though.
He had finally gotten over the throbbing in his head the crying had given him and sat down to re-read it when he felt a tickle in his throat. He tried clearing his throat, which turned to a full on coughing fit. At the end of it, he finally coughed it up.
A small daffodil petal, a bit smaller than his thumb.
Nagito froze, staring at the petal.
He just coughed that up, didn’t he..?
He looked from the petal to the computer screen in horror, not taking long to put it all together.
He thought the disease was fictional… but he had most definitely just coughed this up.
Nagito had the hanahaki disease.
He wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. Lucky for him, he’d already done his research, so he knew the deal. Flowers blossom in the victim’s lungs, eventually rendering them unable to breathe and suffocating them. The only cure was for the victim’s feelings to be romantically requited. You could also get surgery, but that results in you being incapable of romantic love, and Nagito couldn’t bear that. Despite knowing he didn’t have a chance with most anyone, especially Hajime, he’d like to make himself believe he still has.
Now, here was the kicker.
In most of the stories he’d read, the victim simply believed their love interest didn’t like them. But not in his story, oh no. Hajime was already romantically involved. That meant he most certainly didn’t feel how Nagito did. And if Nagito was going to avoid the surgery…
“I’m going to die.” He concluded, putting his head in his hands. He didn’t have enough energy or tears to cry anymore, so he just sat there, letting the cold truth set in.
It already felt harder to breathe.
It only got worse over the next few weeks.
After only three days a full daffodil head had come up, while he was in the Jabberwock, no less. It was getting increasingly harder to hide it in front of others.
Especially Hajime.
Hajime was usually very observant. He usually knew when someone was lying or hiding something from him, so he had to pull out his best acting skills.
Which, admittedly, were those of a teenager.
While he sat there, he was constantly clearing his throat, trying to force down the seemingly harmless flowers clawing their way up.
Luckily for him, the same person that put him in this situation was his unaware cover.
Chiaki.
As much as Nagito hated it, Hajime was now a lot more preoccupied with his girlfriend, which meant if Nagito needed to slip away to choke up a flower or two, he could do just that.
He didn’t know how to feel about Nanami. Sure, on one hand, she was basically the reason he was walking up Death’s driveway. But on the other hand, it wasn’t her fault. It wasn’t anyone’s fault but his own for having these feelings
How does that one song go?
How could I hate her? She’s such an angel.
But then again, kinda wish she were dead.
Not to that extent, but that basically sums up his feelings about her.
Feelings very unlike those for Hajime.
He did a bit of research when he could. Why daffodils? Turns out, a meaning for daffodils was unrequited love.
And wasn’t that fitting?
He was marking the days. Appreciating each day he still got to wake up, not having been smothered in his sleep. In all honesty, though?
He’d rather be killed in his sleep than choked to death at a coffee shop table.
He was also trying to appreciate his time with Hajime. He knew he would never have that sort of relationship with him, not now. So he tried to make the most of their friendship with him.
It was nice, for a while.
But all good things come to an end, as they say.
He was coughing up flowers multiple times a day, now. He’d noted to himself that when he saw blood, his time was almost up.
Terrifying, right?
It really was.
He’d just come home from a walk. He’d started going on them a while ago, when he’d just got it. He hoped the fresh air would do him some sort of good.
It’s funny, really. A while ago, Nagito wouldn’t have cared if he was killed. We practically would have welcomed it.
But now? Now he’d met someone. And because he’d met someone, he was dying. Because he’d met someone, he didn’t want to die.
But it’s not like he got a say in the matter, did he?
His lungs were being overgrown by weeds that call themselves flowers. Horrid things that were worming their way up his throat every. Single. Day.
And eventually, blood would come with them.
So here he was, sitting down after his walk. He sat down at his desk, his throat wheezing as he did. It had been three weeks and four days, and each day suffocated him just that bit more. And right now, he was dizzy. Probably from the lack of oxygen.
Right on cue, his next coughing fit started. It lasted as long as all the others, felt like all the others… but afterwards, it didn’t look like all the others.
He opened his eyes to see what he’d been dreading. A horrible stain of blood splattered across his desk, almost looking pink in the lamp light. He saw two daffodils laying in the midst. Some would call this poetic.
What would Nagito call it?
A death sentence.
He could barely breathe. The flowers crushed his lungs as he scrambled to get his phone out.
Logically, he should call an ambulance. Emergency services, anything that would help.
However, Nagito wasn’t thinking logically.
And that’s not what he did.
He looked over at the old cup, tapping in the number scribbled on it.
He’d never see that handwriting again.
He’d never see him again.
His hands shook as he pressed dial, holding it up to his ear. He also pulled up his paper on his laptop, scanning over it.
Now he knew what he was going to add.
“Hello?”
“Ah, h-hello, Hajime! S-so sorry to bother you th-this late.”
“Mm, no problem. Something up?”
“N-no, nothing at all..!” He scrolled to the bottom of the document, typing quickly. “I just wanted to ch-chat, is all… you g-got a minute?”
“Ahh, sorry Ko. I’m with Chiaki right now. Mind if I call you back tomorrow?”
“…sure. That’s no problem, Hajime. Hajime Hinata…”
“Huh? Ko, you ok?”
He saved the document, plugging in the laptop to charge shakily. He wanted to say his usual; Yep, I’m fine! No need to worry yourself, Hajime. See you tomorrow, hm?
That’s what he would’ve said had his throat not closed up.
Instead, he fought for his breath. He fought a battle that he’d inevitably lose. Hands shaking, chest wheezing, he spoke into the phone.
One last time.
“H-Hajime…”
“Yeah Ko?”
“I-I think I’m dying.”
He dropped his phone to the table, his head following suit not long after. In his last moments of consciousness, he heard Hajime yelling through the phone.
“What?! Nagito, did you say you’re dying?!”
“Nagito, answer me!”
“Nagito Komaede, talk to me!”
“C'mon, c'mon! Answer already!”
“I- Chiaki, call emergency services to this address. I’m sending help, Nagito. Just… just hang in there, please.”
A pool of blood drying on the table.
A final call ended.
A bleach white head of hair stained.
A final message on his computer.
In conclusion, the hanahaki disease is a very terrifying prospect, and now that I have experienced its effects first hand, I can confirm.
The hanahaki is deadly. I, Nagito Komaeda, have been killed at its hands.
March 11th.
They just didn’t get there quick enough.
Emergency services got there moments after Hajime did, who had sprinted up the stairs to where Nagito once resided.
He was shocked to find the scene in front of him.
He ran over to Nagito, trying to shake him awake. But no amount of shaking could uproot the flowers that had torn them apart.
He was brought off to a hospital, but he was already dead when they arrived. It didn’t take long to put together what had happened, despite nobody quite believing it. With the document Nagito had left, the blood and flowers and the tangle in his lungs, it was determined he most definitely had the disease, and just managed to keep it a secret.
Hajime.
He just couldn’t believe it.
Nagito was just… gone.
That phone call was the last time he’d ever hear the poor man’s voice. See him smile or laugh, despite how unnerving it could be at times.
All of that… gone.
Just because he loved someone.
Nagito had never talked about having a crush on anyone. But only people with unrequited feelings got the disease, right?
So whoever he liked just didn’t like him back.
And there was just the smallest, miniscule part of Hajime that had a feeling he knew who it was.
He prayed to whatever gods were up there that he was wrong.
Years later, Hajime still can’t look at daffodils.
For all they mean respect, chivalry… rebirth, eternal life, new beginnings, all of which Komaeda didn’t receive…
They also meant unrequited love. The cruel mistress that took his life.
He used to like Spring. Now he can’t stand it. That’s when daffodils bloom.
That’s when Nagito died.
He still lays awake some nights, thinking about the man he used to know. What would have happened had they not met? Had Hajime never taken that job, would Nagito still be alive?
A question that would never be answered.
He quit his job right after, not wanting to be reminded of the man. Despite that, he wouldn’t let him be forgotten.
So now, all he could do was heal. Mourn him, and heal.
He doesn’t think he’ll ever like daffodils again. After all, they’re the flowers that tore them apart.

Shampoo Bottles
It’s Saturday, something Akaashi doesn’t realize until he is flying halfway out his front door and huffing a breath at his phone screen’s mocking display: 6:30 AM, Saturday, June 14th. Exactly a week before Hinata’s birthday.
He blinks and remembers the night before, when he was nursing a red wine and a deadline for his “Ono Natsume: Shouting for the Voiceless” article. He remembers, vaguely, submitting the piece at 11:50 and dropping his head right there on his cheap Ikea desk, exhausted.
Presently, he’s nodding awkwardly at his neighbor (leaving the complex to work out, no less) and trying to make it look, somehow, like he meant to open his front door only to close it seconds later.
Toeing off his work shoes and entirely caught off guard by the idea of a day off, Akaashi retreats to his bed. He passes out almost as soon as his foggy head hits the pillow, dreaming of nothing. The next time he opens his eyes, his breath and body still completely.
“Mornin’, sleeping beauty! It’s ten, I’m surprised you slept so long!”
“Kuroo-san, why are you in my apartment?”
The offender offers no answer but grins brilliantly, gold irises level with Akaashi’s blue-green.
“And just how long have you been here anyway?” Kuroo ignores him again, instead choosing to stand from his squatting position. His hands at his hips, Kuroo wears a white oversized Bouncing Ball hoodie and black skinny jeans. Much to Akaashi’s discomfort, he still has his shoes on- red and white high top sneakers with the laces tucked in. As always, the guy’s flawlessly disheveled, silver jewelry glinting from his ears and neck.
Akaashi groans and plants his face in his pillow. It’s too early for the young, beautiful, and rich.
Kuroo, unsurprisingly, doesn’t yield Akaashi’s thoughts and scoffs once. He moves to draw open the curtains in his room. Keiji can’t help but grimace as he feels his skin bathed in hot summer light.
“Man. You should really dust your windowsills. Do you even ever open these things?! You’re not some bat, ‘Kaashi. You need fresh air.”
“I think bats need air too,” Akaashi mumbles into the pillow.
Kuroo waves a dismissive hand and turns to survey him, arms folded across a broad chest. Keiji reluctantly turns his head to address his stare, squinting without the aid of his glasses or contacts. Kuroo’s bedhead is seemingly even worse today- probably from whatever plane he just hopped out of. The latter smirks devilishly.
“Well. Are you gonna welcome me back or what?”
“So you didn’t expect to land in Tokyo until Thursday?” Akaashi asks this of Kuroo about 45 minutes after his intrusion into the writer’s apartment. The pair are getting brunch in some needlessly swanky rooftop restaurant, one where Kuroo insisted he wouldn’t get recognized. Akaashi raised his eyebrows at that- his friend had stuffed his signature messy locks into one of Akaashi’s ratty baseball caps and donned aviators the moment they got outside.
No matter to him, anyway. Akaashi got fancy champagne out of the deal.
“Sure didn’t. Management canceled the show in Singapore last minute. Something about the venue. Fuck if I know,” Kuroo explains almost incoherently through colossal bites of egg.
“What matters is nobody got hurt. We refunded tickets and rescheduled the gig. S’all good. I’m just happy to be back home with my buddy!” Kuroo reaches over to slap Akaashi on the back with a friendly grin.
He’s sputtering over his mimosa when Kuroo continues, “Can’t wait to surprise Kenma tonight, either. Can you imagine his face?"
“Yeah, actually, I can,” Akaashi slouches his shoulders forward in his chair with an uninterested expression and quirks up an eyebrow ever so slightly, impersonating his best friend.
“Hey, that was pretty good! Though I guess it’s not that hard for you. You’re both pretty stoic. Like Easter Island Heads.”
Akaashi swats at him half-heartedly. Kuroo laughs.
“Anyway, you’re lucky I didn’t call him immediately this morning- or the police for that matter,” Akaashi says matter of factly. Kuroo clutches at his heart dramatically.
“Akaashi-kun. You wound me. I am the furthest from a criminal.”
Akaashi huffs a laugh.
“Tell the Osaka police force that.”
“Hey! What, a guy can’t take a piss anymore?”
“Not, apparently, from the top of the Umeda Sky Building-”
“To be fair, I didn’t know the police officer was right there,” Kuroo interjects.
“-After downing half a bottle of Malibu with Oikawa. And you were 17. You were lucky you didn’t get charged with public indecency.”
Kuroo pouts but offers no petition.
“Guilty as charged, I suppose. Hey, speaking of police officers-”
Akaashi clears his throat and interrupts, “Speaking of drinking, how was Singapore?”
Kuroo takes the hint and stretches back in his chair, raising his third bloody mary to his lips.
“Didn’t get much time there, only about four days before I got the call about the cancellation. Flew straight here after the news.”
Straight to Kenma, Akaashi supplies mentally, grinning fondly at his friends’ relationship.
“Anyway, it was pretty mild, all things considered. Bokuto seemed to like the clubbing scene more than I did. Matter of fact, he’s staying there ‘til the next concert.”
“Bokuto?” Akaashi says, cutting into his eggs and watching the yolk spill onto his fork.
Kuroo, now onto his nearly 2,500 yen crepe, takes a break from his meal to look up at him with a puzzled stare.
“My tourmate? Bokuto Koutarou? X. Ace?”
Akaashi meets his eyes blankly.
“I guess it makes sense his stage name doesn’t ring a bell, but I’m surprised you don’t know about the guy’s v-ball career.”
The blue-eyed 24 year old drops his gaze to the napkin in his lap.
“Sorry, sorry. Touchy topic.”
Pain-in-the-ass-Kuroo-san.
“Anyway, you should really check out some of his matches with the Panthers.”
“He was signed with the Panthers?” Akaashi sputters, clapping his mouth shut immediately after.
Kuroo cackles.
“Don’t give yourself a heart attack, Akaashi. It’s okay to be impressed- it’s impressive. He’s crazy. You’ll be meeting him soon.”
Akaashi only hums in response.
"You're coming to the show, right?"
Akaashi hums again.
"Big talker today, huh, Keiji?"
"Bah."
“Right. So.. you baited yourself a hook yet?”
“Beg your pardon?”
“You know. After Daichi,” Kuroo tries again.
No, he really hasn’t.
Akaashi downs the rest of his drink. He peers into his empty glass in response.
“Haven’t thought about it really. He said it himself- I don’t have the time.”
“Oh, Keiji. Nevermind him.”
“Don’t sigh like that. Did you fly all the way from China to pity me?”
The rapper shakes his head, “No, I didn’t. I just want you to-”
“Be as happy as you are with Kenma,” Keiji finishes.
Kuroo gives a gentle smile, “Can you blame me?”
“God. You two are worse than the shoujo manga I have to review.”
“But twice as fun.”
“Shut up and eat your crepe.”
Kuroo happily complies, “Don’t have to tell me twice.”
“I’m glad you’re home, Kuroo-san,” Akaashi remarks. And he is. Even with his busy lifestyle as a chart-topping artist, Kuroo somehow manages to draw Kenma and Akaashi out of the house.
Kuroo and Kenma are both relatively new to their fame- about three years out from Kuroo’s first breakthrough hit and four since Kenma first started his Bouncing Ball Youtube channel- but their fans are… dedicated. Akaashi often marvels at how even Kenma takes it in stride. He's entertaining to watch and a seasoned video game expert. And Kuroo... Akaashi looks to the man and the ketchup stain on his lip.
"What?"
Well, they both deserve their good fortune.
"Nothing, nothing."
He has interviewed them each multiple times for the journal. The good thing about his friends’ famous status is that Akaashi gets to profit from it as well. He tells Kuroo as much and the latter almost chokes on his stupidly expensive breakfast laughing. Even Akaashi cracks a small grin.
“I told that was him!” The writer hears two girlish voices behind him, talking in excited whispers.
“E-Excuse me, K-Kuroo-san?”
The rapper breaks out in a large grin and stands, bowing formally at the pair.
“Yes? Hello, ladies. Are you two fans of mine?”
“Yes!! Very much so! I loved your new song!” The girl, about 17 with dark lashes and fire red hair, praises politely.
“Would, would you mind taking a picture with us!?” The other chirps.
“Not at all! Akaashi, my pal, would you be a dear and snap some shots?” It takes everything for Akaashi not to roll his eyes.
“But of course.”
--------------------
This is how Akaashi comes to search up the 2018 Panthers roster on his phone’s Google. He gives up his sleuthing when he realizes he doesn’t remember the guy’s name or know what he looks like.
He forgets about the whole thing until later that night, at Kenma’s celebration party for 5 million followers. It’s small, of course, about ten of them drinking champagne and playing drinking games. Akaashi knows Hinata did all the planning anyway, despite the event being at Kenma’s. The trio is standing off to the side when Akaashi pulls out his phone briefly to check the time.
Kuroo should be here any minute, he thinks. Hinata peers too, instinctually curious.
“Hey! Whatcha looking up the Panthers for? That’s not the latest roster, you know! Ooh, you’re looking up X-Ace, right?! Seeeeee, I knew you’d like him!”
Akaashi looks down at the picture Hinata points to. The guy’s sturdy and smug with one thick eyebrow raised. His chest is broad and his eyes are perfectly golden. The first thing Akaashi notices, however, is his hair. Absolutely ridiculous, he thinks. Makes sense that this guy’s Hinata’s idol.
Kenma raises his eyebrows.
“What made you do that?” he asks.
“Oh, uh, just...curious.”
Kenma looks like he’s about to say more when Oikawa joins their group with a boisterous, “Pudding Head! Congratsssss!” He pinches the smaller’s cheeks, who just about hisses in response.
Akaashi, grateful for Oikawa’s interruption, takes another quick glance at… X-Ace, and pockets his phone.
Hinata grins wide when Tooru, seemingly already a bit tipsy, ruffles his hair.
“Thanks, Oikawa-san," Kenma begrudgingly replies.
“You know, Kuroo is-”
Akaashi, ever vigilant, cuts in immediately, “-is so happy for you, Ken.”
Oikawa seems to get the hint, his eyes widening in realization.
“He sure is! Want some more alcohol?” The chestnut-haired friend of Kuroo’s quickly shoves his bottle of strawberry rum in Kenma’s face.
“You know I hate your sticky Malibu. Why are you guys acting all weird?”
Hinata, completely oblivious to the unspoken diaogue between Akaashi and Oikawa, tugs Kenma’s shirt.
“Kenma, Kenma! We should stream!!”
“Hey, that’s not too bad an idea, Shoyo,” Akaashi adds, if just to distract him.
“Sure, we could play some Mario-Kart. My fans seem to like you guys. Just don’t do anything stupid, Tooru.”
“Who, me?! And when do I-” Oikawa starts dramatically. The rest of the men send him a collective stare which answers his question before he can even finish it. He crosses his arms with a huff.
“Whatever. I call Princess Peach.”
--------------
After Kenma finishes setting up the Livestream and the small group has gained over a couple thousand viewers, Akaashi is in dead last as Blooper. Well, almost dead last, expect for...
“How am I losing? No fair, Kozume!” Oikawa whines.
“Me? What did I do?” Kenma-san replies, uninterested. Unsurprisingly, the Youtuber is in first place with his signature Toad.
“I don’t know, your fancy settings or something. Iwa-chan! Back me up, here!”
“It’s ‘cause you suck, Trashy-kawa,” Iwaizumi-san, whom the quartet bribed into playing with agedashi dofu, doesn’t hesitate to retaliate. His player, Bowser, is in second, with Hinata close behind as Yoshi.
“Take that, Hajime-san! Oh, shoot, sorry, Akaashi-san!” Hinata shouts, rising from his seat as he hurls a red shell, accidentally hitting Keiji.
“Hinata, language!” Kuroo’s smooth voice floods the apartment in mock disapproval. Kenma whips his head so fast he drops his controller. The blonde doesn’t say anything but slowly rises to his feet, then breaks into a short run at the sight of his boyfriend. The former picks up Kenma effortlessly and twirls him in a tight embrace. Akaashi looks on fondly.
“Kuroo-san!” Hinata exclaims, jumping up excitedly.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever, Tetsuro’s home. I’m about to kick all of your asses!” Oikawa waves away his entrance, sticking out his tongue. Iwaizumi slaps him on the back of the head.
The stream chat has exploded at the sound of Kuroo.
bb-corp: is that Kuroo???
applephi: NO WAY djwhdnbwibdfwq
yoyotetsuro: couple goals
kurokenxx: will anyone ever love me like Kuroo loves Kenma?
keeeeenmaaa_: I think this is the first time BouncingBall’s lost at Mariokart
----------
A little tired and a lot tipsy, Akaashi insists on taking a cab home. It doesn't feel right to invade Kenma's when the Kuroo's home. Keiji could tell the pair... needed their space for the night. He splits the ride with Hinata, who talks his ear off the whole way about Kuroo's arrival and how badly he wishes he had the money to go to a concert. Akaashi smirks at that, just a little. Shoyo exits the vehicle with an enthusiastic, "Bye, 'Kaashi-san!! I'll see you soon! Maybe I'll come to the store, or, or, you can come to see me and Tobio-chan! He didn't come out tonight because he has a game tomorrow, but-" The rest of his goodbye is drowned out by him closing the door.
"I apologize for the noise," Keiji addresses the driver. She makes a noise of recognition and drops him off 15 minutes later. He thinks about his conversation with Kuroo about "baiting his hook" as he enters his living room, dropping his keys unceremoniously on the floor next to his door. What does that even mean? Akaashi doesn't exactly meet a lot of people with his work and his friends are all, well, with each other. He's happy for them and all, but sometimes being around so many couples gets a bit nauseating. Akaashi is struck with a small wave of loneliness when he waters his small bamboo plant, made worse by the two shots of Malibu Oikawa shoved down his throat. This is all I have to come home to, a fucking bamboo plant. Akaashi stares at its braided stalks with a vengeance. Not a second later, he pets the leaves in apology. I shouldn't take this out on the plant.
He's always been relatively independent, but having someone felt kind of... nice, for a change. It's been almost a year since Daichi left, and probably 6 months since he and Suga got together. It's one of those things that Akaashi didn't process for awhile, forcing him to fend for himself when the realization came to knock him on his ass months down the line. He's been confronting turned over picture frames and empty sheets ever since.
And so it goes.
He pads over to his bed with a sigh and for the second time today, falls asleep and dreams of nothing.

Coach Has A Girlfriend?! (F) Ukai x Reader
Tumblr media
I never thought that I'd write a one shot about Ukai, but here we are, because Keishin deserves some love, too. This one has very little reference to sexual behavior, but it's there, so I thought I'd warn you. I had some trouble with how to start this one, so here ya go. Also, look at how adorable that pic of Ukai is.    The boys had just showed up for afternoon practice.  Ukai hadn't arrived yet, which was normal, because they usually started warming up without him.  Today was different though. Today the boys just stood in a huddle gossiping like girls at a sleepover.
"So you really saw that?" Hinata whisper shouted, surprised.    "Yep, Ukai was definitely kissing someone," Nishinoya explained.    "So what? He's an adult, he can have a girlfriend. What's the big deal about it?" Daichi piped in, wanting to get to warming up.    "I just never saw coach as the type of guy to be able to get a girlfriend," Nishinoya responded.    "Well, fine, I'll take the bait, tell me what you know," Daichi said, knowing that they wouldn't start until the conversation had ended.    "Ok, so," Nishinoya began explaining, "the other night, I was headed to the Sakanoshita Store for some snacks, but when I got there, I looked through the window and I saw a lady sitting on the counter, and Ukai just walked right up to her and kissed her."    "Did you recognize her at all?" Tanaka asked, trying to get any idea who this mystery lady could be.    "No, she was facing away from me, and she was wearing a hoodie, so I couldn't see her hair either," Nishinoya responded.    "So, if you didn't see her face or hair, how do we know that she isn't a he?" Sugawara wondered aloud, "Maybe coach has a boyfriend."    "Well, it is definitely not a man, I can assure you that," Nishinoya shook his head.    "How can you be sure?" Hinata asked the libero.    "Well, he said some things that I am not repeating that rules out the possibility of coach's partner being a man," Nishinoya blushed.    The entire team cringed, not wanting to think of their coach saying anything remotely sexual. Ew.    "Why aren't you guys practicing?" Ukai asked , standing in the doorframe and lifting a brow, accompanied by their assistant coach, y/n.    "Oh, well we were just discussing some strategies for our next game," Sugawara recovered smoothly.    "Okay- I don't believe you-but okay. Just start warming up," Ukai brushed it off, assuming they were talking about teen boy things. He didn't even want to know. y/n POV    "So, what do you think we should have them work on today?" I asked, putting my gym bag next to the bench.    "Receiving, they still aren't the strongest at it," Ukai responded, shrugging.    "I agree, they could use some work," I stated, tying your hair up in a ponytail.
Hinata POV    "So, have you though any more about this mystery woman could be?" I asked Nishinoya as we ran laps to start practice.    "No clue, I didn't even know anyone would like coach like that. He's always so damn grouchy," Nishinoya laughed.    "Me neither, she must be a saint," I heard Kageyama say, now running beside Nishinoya and I.    Who the heck is this woman? Now we have to find out.    "You wanna do some investigating and find out?" Nishinoya asked from beside me.    "I'm in," I responded, "Who else do you think might help?"    "Probably the whole team, I'll ask them when coach isn't looking," Nishinoya replied.    Well, this was going to be interesting. ~time skip to after practice~  Still Hinata POV    Almost the whole team decided to help find the identity of this mystery woman, who we now call Mystery, because, well actually it's pretty obvious.  When we're around coach, we call her Michi, just a random name, to avoid suspicion.    We decided that after practice, we would pretend to leave, but just stay out of sight.  We were gonna follow Ukai. Seems a little bit stalker-y, but it was for a good reason.    "Bye, coach, see you tomorrow," I called out with a wave as I left the gym.    We all left separately, like we usually would, that way it wouldn't seem odd.  After we left the gym, we all met on the other side of the gym, where coach wouldn't see us.    The firsts to leave were Yamaguchi and Tsukishima, followed by Suga, then Tanaka, next was Nishinoya, then Asahi and Daichi left together, then Kageyama and myself.  Kageyama and I decided it would be best for him to throw me a few more sets like he usually did, that way coach wouldn't think something was off.  Anyone else on the team just left without worrying about out investigation. They mentioned something about having to study.    We didn't have to wait long before Takeda left the gym, heading off to the office to retrieve his bag and go home. Shortly after, Ukai and y/n walked out, locking the gym doors behind them.  We let them get a head start before creeping behind them, doing whatever we could to not be seen. Ducking under bushes, hiding behind trees.  Poor Asahi struggled to fit himself behind a bush due to his size.    When we saw Ukai and y/n both get into Ukai's car, we didn't think anything of it, seeing as the two had been friends since high school and y/n didn't have a car.    We then started walking down the sidewalk, slowly but surely trailing Ukai's car. We broke into smaller groups to walk, not wanting to seem like a gang of thugs, especially since people saw Asahi as threatening as they did.    The third years all walked together. Behind them, I walked with Kageyama, Tanaka, and Nishinoya.  Tsukishima and Yamaguchi brought up the rear.    We watched as Ukai pulled into a driveway which we assumed was y/n's, thinking that he was dropping her off before heading home.  To our surprise, his door opened too.  Why was Ukai getting out at y/n's house? Maybe he was being a gentleman and walking her to her door before leaving. Y/N POV    We pulled into my driveway, and I began to unbuckle.      Ukai put the car in park, and took his hand off my knee, where it had been resting during the drive.    "Tomorrow's Saturday," I said.    "Good to know that you've memorized the days of the week," Ukai teased.    I slapped him on the arm.    "Funny.  Anyways, back to what I was saying.  Why don't you just stay here tonight? Then we can spend tomorrow together, too.  I just hate not spending the night with you, I get lonely," I pouted, batting my eyelashes at the man sitting next to me.    "Why don't we move in together?" Keishin says.    "Oh my god, yes, then you'll have to deal with me every day, though. Would you be able to deal with me," I joked.    "Sounds good to me," he replied, unbuckling before leaning to give me a kiss on the forehead and opening his door.    Once I got out, I walked over to his side of the car where he stood, yawning and stretching.  We were both worn out from coaching the boys.  They were going to be the death of us.    "I'm getting to old for this coaching shit, y/n," Ukai joked.    "We're the same age, jackass, don't call me old. We aren't as young as we used to be, I'll admit, but we aren't old enough for that complaint yet," I punched him in the shoulder.    "Ouch, always so aggressive. I should file a restraining order with how much you hit me," Ukai rubbed his shoulder where I had hit him.    "I barely even hit you, you big baby," I retorted, standing with my hands on my hips, "Plus, if you filed a restraining order, I couldn't do this."    I took a few steps towards Keishin before gently pushing him against the side of the car and kissing him.  My hands sat on his chest, while his sat on my waist, holding me close.  He clearly did not like having to lean down to kiss me, so to my surprise, he picked me up so my legs wrapped around his waist.  He turned us around so I was against the car.    "I love you so much," he whispered, resting his forehead on mine. Hinata POV    "I love you so much," we barely make the words out.    "Oh. My. God," Suga whispers from beside me.    "COACH Y/N AND COACH UKAI ARE FUCKING," we all hear Tanaka yell before anyone can stop him.    We all panic, not having any idea what to do. We were hiding in a bush, for gods sake. Bushes don't scream.  Before we had any time to run, we hear y/n's voice.    "Tanaka? Where are you?" Y/N POV    Why in the hell did I just hear Tanaka's voice yelling about fucking.  Ukai lets my legs down, looking around,    "Tanaka? Where are you?" I yell back. I get no response.    Ukai taps my shoulder to get my attention, nodding his head to a huge bush across the street.    Just as he had predicted, we see a bunch of teens walking out from behind the bush, their heads hung, hiding their faces as Keishin and I approached.    "What in the world are you doing hiding in a bush across from my house?" I question the boys.    "Well, the other day, Nishinoya saw Coach Ukai kissing a lady, so we followed him to find out who it was," Hinata explained.    "We didn't think anyone would date Ukai, he's always so moody," Nishinoya added.    I had to bite back a laugh at the last comment. He is pretty moody.    "So let me get this straight. You guys all left practice as usual, then met up somewhere, waited for Ukai to leave, then followed him all the way here?"    "Exactly," Nishinoya responded.    "You guys are idiots," I shook my head.    "Why are we idiots?" Tanaka seemed hurt.    "Well, for one, you're extra idiotic because you screamed during a stakeout.  The rest of you are dumb because," I held up my hand, pointing to a ring on my finger, "we're already engaged."    "WHAT? AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US?" Nishinoya exclaimed, faking being hurt by holding a hand to his chest.    "We assumed you knew, I mean, it isn't some huge secret.  We've been dating since we were in high school, you nosy little creeps," I laughed.    "Yeah, we thought you guys knew.  Plus why would we, as your coaches, talk to you about our love life," Ukai scratched his neck,    "Well clearly, we did not know," Tanaka stated.    "Let me guess, tweedledoofus and tweedledumbass here started this," I said, pointing to Nishinoya and Hinata,    "That'd be an accurate guess, Coach," I hear Daichi say, still not wanting to look either of us in the eye.    I looked around, observing all the boys' faces.  Tanaka was shocked, along with Nishinoya. Hinata and Kageyama just looked confused. Suga and Yamaguchi acted as if they were happy for us and the engagement, despite the way they found out.  Asahi and Daichi were blushing and focusing on the ground, which I assume is due to the fact that Tanaka made a comment about Ukai and I having sex.  Tsukishima looked as if he had known the whole time, and had just come to watch the rest of them embarrass themselves.    "Well, do you?" I hear Tanaka say from where he stood behind Nishinoya.    "Do we what?" I respond, confused.    "Well, you heard what I yelled, so do you?" Tanaka asked casually, shrugging.    The boys all looked as if they were about to be slaughtered as the words left Tanaka's mouth.    "Why would you wanna know, you perv?" Tsukishima gave him a firm slap on the back of the head.    "I suggest you all go home and get some rest before I murder Tanaka," I spoke calmly, beginning to walk away, "Oh, and no practice this weekend, but on Monday, you all run four extra laps, Tanaka you get to run eight extra for your comments tonight.    "Yes, Coach," they all said in unison, bowing, before standing back up and starting to walk home.   Once we watched them leave, we left and went in the house.    "Nosy little shits," Keishin mutters, laughing and shaking his head.    "That they are, but they were right about one thing," I giggle, walking up and wrapping my arms around Keishin' s waist.    Keishin raised a brow.    "Coach Ukai and Coach y/n are fucking," I stated, leaning up to give him a kiss.

Boy, that was a ride.  I found this really fun to write because it was really light and cute.  I tried to make this one have a comedic tone to it, so I hope that came through.  As always, don't hesitate to suggest who you'd like or a prompt you think would be good.  Thank you so much for reading. -Smutty-Senpai

awhwha since you like analysing, what would be karasuno first years pet peeves in their relationship? like what would make them annoyed at their partner? i'm really curious as to what you think ✨
Yessss b
Tumblr media
Tsukishima :
- He would need a specific type of partner because there are many things that would bother him -- as an immature first year anyways. He would grow into accepting and loving more romantic aspects of relationships eventually. But tbh he’s a brat atm.
- One thing that would annoy him is if his partner was overly clingy. He would hate it as he can’t be texting s/o every damn minute and he’s busy with studies and volleyball. He’ll make time for the s/o, just don’t force it out of him. If he really likes them, then he’ll give attention and make effort. PDA is a huge no too.
- He’d get pissed off if s/o had a problem and he’d want to help but they keep saying “I’m fine.” It annoys him to the core. He can’t even ease them into it, just tell him what’s up.
- He couldn’t stand being controlled. Don’t try to control him or the situation, because he’ll do the opposite in the end. Just be easy going, don’t confront him about every single thing. But he does want to know what’s bothering s/o. Good communication is important, even though he can sometimes be childish and ignore them when he’s mad.
Tumblr media
Yamaguchi :
- He would feel pretty irritated if s/o was on their phone when he’s trying to spend time with them. He never even looks at his phone when he’s with them so he expects the same attention.
- Yamaguchi wouldn’t make much of arguments but he’d immediately apologise if he felt it was his fault. It would somewhat annoy him if his s/o didn’t know how to apologise. He’d like to hear assurance just so he doesn’t have to worry.
- It would be concerning if s/o was still friends with exes. He doesn’t feel comfortable with it but he’s not sure if he’s allowed to bring it up as a problem.
- He likes all the relationship stuff so there’s not much to say.
Tumblr media
Kageyama :
- He would hate it if s/o yelled at him for the smallest things - basically nagging him. He’s honestly trying his best despite being inexperienced. He’d rather s/o teach him so he can learn instead of giving out to him.
- Kageyama is a volleyball freak so also don’t expect a clingy behaviour to work on him. He won’t see s/o every single day unless they’re in the same school. He hates showing affection in public so he won’t do it - he’d ask s/o not to kiss him or cling onto him in public. But he doesn’t mind holding hands too much.. But he’s still paranoid one of his friends will see him like that.
- He’s not good at guessing how s/o feels so he’d be really mad if they started ignoring him/giving him the cold shoulder and dismissing him without saying what’s wrong. He’d be worried he did something wrong or that someone else hurt s/o. He needs some things explained, he hates not knowing what’s up.
- He would feel underappreciated if s/o didn’t remember small things he told them because he tries his best to remember everything.
Tumblr media
Hinata :
- He wouldn’t be sure about an s/o who doesn’t make effort to get to know his interests and support him as best they can. It makes him so happy if s/o learns things about his hobbies and likes just so they can discuss it together.
- Hinata thinks s/o looks cute in his clothes but he’d love it if they left at least a few of his hoodies for him because he’s got nothing to wear.
- Sunshine would feel upset if s/o forgot a lot of important dates or was late to dates because of things like oversleeping. Once or twice is understandable but if it was every time it’d be upsetting to anyone. Consider his time.
- He would hate nagging as much as Kageyama, especially if it’s related to his grades. He knows s/o means good! But it’s annoying to anyone. Also don’t make fun of his height.
Tumblr media
Yachi :
- She would dislike it if her partner was dismissive or didn’t give her reassurance and attention. She can get anxious and might not even bring up things that bother her.
- If partner is much taller she would hate being used as an armrest. She’s blushing but she’s actually like stop.
- She hates being picked up, even in a playful way. It’s just embarrassing and she’s not comfortable with it.
- Bad texters would confuse her a hella lot. Her texts are probably all cute and supportive so she NEEDS the same energy back, it’s what she deserves.

Haikyuu Characters feeling like they’ve failed as bestfriends/boyfriends and they’re being replaced.
Vol. 1 KAGEHINA
Kageyama had never been particularly insecure about most things, but after the incident in middle school, he couldn’t help but be scared of what people might do.
So when Hinata came waltzing into his life as this bright ball of sunshine that never fails to brighten his day he didn’t know what to do with all of the emotions that sprang to life in his chest. He decided quickly that the only option was to hold on for as long as it stayed.
And Hinata, the amazing ball of sunshine that he was, didn’t look like he wanted to leave. He was always convincing Kageyama to join him on his endeavors, and was always turning to Tobio when he wanted a good toss. It was surreal to have someone so incredible seem to want him so much, so Kageyama did exactly what he said he’d do, he held on with all of his might, and even when he argued with Hinata, he tried to minimize it, so Hinata wouldn’t leave liek so many others had.
Over time, Kageyama gained other people, his team, clearly, Yachi, even some of the guys from the All-Japan Training Camp seemed to like him, but it didn’t mean nearly as much to him as Hinata did. The redhead had been the start of it all after all.
It didn’t take Kageyama long after realizing he needed Hinata in his life, for him to realize he also needed Hinata as more than a friend, and maybe more than a boyfriend, but baby steps were most important.
So, Kageyama had confessed, one day on their daily walk home, while bickering with Hinata, and it had shocked not only Hinata, but himself, he hadn’t expected to say something like that so easily. Hinata had looked shocked, for so long he was quiet, and just before Kageyama was about to go back home and lock himself in his room for the next two years, Hinata had grabbed the neckline of his jacket and rugged him down to kiss him square on the lips.
Kageyama had tensed for a moment before letting himself relax and moving his hands to Hinata’s waist. The next morning, they announced to the team that they were dating and that’s as the end of it.
They’d been happily dating for months now, and Kageyama was feeling, for lack of a better word, insecure. He felt like he couldn’t give Hinata what he deserved anymore, or that he had stopped giving Hinata what he deserved a while ago.
Sadly, the events of the pst few weeks had only added insult to injury. Kageyama had felt like shit anyway, now, Hinata stayed up late on the phone with Kenma, always from the other side of the bed and in a hushed voice, but he was right next to Kageyama, he could hear him. So now, Kageyama looked like shit. There were intense purply eye bags under his now dill grayish eyes, he always just prayed Hinata didn’t look too closely. He was waiting to be dropped anyway, he didn’t deserve Hinata.
Then, today, Kageyama had been planning to go out with Hinata. They’d decided they would days in advance, but Bokuto and Akaashi has come down to visit, just prancing into Hinata’s home where he and Kageyama had been eating breakfast, and invited Shoyo out with them. Hinata offered for Kageyama to come too, but if Kageyama wanted to hide his tears, he’d have to go, now. After saying goodbye to Hinata, and missing his usual goodbye kiss for the tenth time that week, he had rushed down the street, letting his mind and feet carry him wherever they wanted. In the meantime, Kageyama was crying. He knew he was, and how pathetic was that? To cry over something so pitiful as a boyfriend you don’t deserve.
Before he knew it, Kageyama was standing outside an apartment he didn’t care to try and recognize right then, he just knocked. When the door opened, he finally realized where he was. Iwaizumi was standing at the door in a pair of sweats and a t-shirt and Oikawa was behind in some shorts and what looked like Iwaizumi’s hoodie.
“Kageyama?” Iwaizumi has asked, looking concerned ag his former Kohai, who was shaking and looking at the ground. At the name Oikawa stood up, concerned.
“Tobio-Chan?” He asked as he looked over Iwaizumi’s shoulder. Kageyama’s body shook with a sob as he choked out only two words.
“Help me,” he’d sobbed before letting himself fall forward into Iwaizumi. Oikawa was shocked. Kageyama was always so composed, and he’d been so bright since getting together with Hinata, so seeing him like this was a total surprise. Iwaizumi’s was shocked too, but he’d acted quickly, pulling Kageyama to the couch. He sat the first year down there and began to pull off Kageyama’s abnormally clean shoes and then looked up at Oikawa who was standing helplessly behind the couch.
“Call Suga and Daichi,” Iwaizumi instructed him and Oikawa reaches for his phone, “And Hinata,” he added and Kageyama shook his head so aggressively they were both afraid it might fall off his shoulders.
“Don’t- don’t call him, he’ll be guilty and I can’t see him again today, maybe this week, I dunno, I can’t right now please, please don’t call him,” Kageyama had begged breathlessly, struggling to pull in breath around his words.
He pulled his socked feet onto the sofa, knees against his chest and eyes screwed shut. Oikawa looked concerned at Iwaizumi and the shorter man leaned over Tobio to kiss his boyfriend’s forehead. Oikawa let his eyes flutter shut for a second before nodding dutifully and rushing off to their bedroom. Iwaizumi, in the mean time grabbed a blanket from the hall closet and threw it over Kageyama’s shoulders, pressing play in the radio, playing the same soft music he used to calm Tooru.
“Tobio, I need you to tell me what’s happening, otherwise I can’t help you,” Kageyama let out another heart wrenching sob and Hajime couldn’t help but surge forward to hug the boy.
“I’m not good enough, I know I’m not, I just hoped it would take longer for him to realize too...” Iwaizumi tightened his grip. Had Hinata said something to Kageyama? But that didn’t seem very in character for the tiny middle blocker.
“What happened Tobio?” Iwaizumi asked again as Oikawa came quietly out of their room, sitting down on the other side of Kageyama and rubbing his back soothingly, leaning his cheek against Kageyama’s shoulder. Kageyama couldn’t help but cry harder.
“It’s- it’s stupid, I’m sorry, I don’t know why I came here, I didn’t mean to intrude,” Kageyama began trying to stand but he was pulled back down by both Oikawa and Iwaizumi who looked pointedly at him.
“I haven’t seen you like this in a long time Tobio, if it’s enough to make you feel this bad then it’s enough for us to try to help with,” Oikawa assured him one hand on his cheek, rubbing circles in his cheekbone. Kageyama screwed up his face and rubbed at his face again, trying to wipe tears that were quickly replaced.
“I don’t know what to do, it feels like Shoyo doesn’t want me anymore, he doesn’t spend time with me anymore, and I’m sure it’s because he’s gotten tired of me, we even made plans today but Bokuto and Akaashi showed up and he cancelled and I don’t know what to do cause I can’t tell if I’m being ridiculous or if he genuinely doesn’t want me anymore and he just doesn’t know how to get rid of me. We don’t practice together every day like we used to, and if we do he rarely comes back home with me or invites me over to his. And I can’t tell if I’m overexaggerating or not!” Kageyama was rambling, talking so quickly with such pain in his words it was beginning to stress Oikawa out too. He rubbed soothing circles in Kageyama’s back and looked helplessly at Iwaizumi, who looked just as stressed.
“Tobio, you need to talk to Shoyo about this,” Iwaizumi tried to reason but Kageyama shook his head.
“No, if I tell him then he’ll feel bad, and if he genuinely doesn’t want to be with me, he’ll surely make himself suffer, if I pretend I’m okay for just a little longer he’ll figure himself out and break it off, I need to hang on for just a little longer,” he was shaking as he explained his plan to his former senpais.
“No, Tobio, really, if you don’t talk to Hinata about this, it’s only going to get worse, you’re only going to feel worse,” Oikawa pushes, and Kageyama shook his head again, crying harder.
“If I don’t hold on, he’ll walk away like everyone else, I can’t lose someone else!” He felt more tears streaming down his face and Oikawa and Iwaizumi pulled them selves forward with the arms wrapped around him. They let him cry, not daring to speak, and a couple minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
“It’s unlocked!” Oikawa called and the door practically slammed open as the person outside entered urgently. It was Suga, no surprise.
He looked around frantically before rushing over to the couch upon seeing his distressed underclassmen, his baby crow. He knelt down in front of Kageyama, cupping his cheeks in both hands and forcing the blue eyed setter to look at him.
“Hi baby,” he whispered in his mom voice and Kageyama tried to hold back his tears in the presence of his senpais. Daichi had entered behind Suga and was now standing behind his boyfriend looking incredibly concerned.
“Hey Suga...” Kageyama mutttered in a broken voice and Suga felt his heart break with it.
“What’s wrong honey?” He asked in his soft mama bird voice. Kageyama hiccuped and looked away from Suga, afraid of what he would say. Kageyama’s voice was nothing but a croak. So now, he not only felt like shit and looked like shit, he sounded like shit.
“I’m not enough anymore...” he mumbled and Suga pinched his ears.
“Don’t day that,” he scolded and Kageyama shook his head more, more tears falling.
“Kageyama what happened?” Suga asked and Kageyama was the one to surge forward this time, burying his face in Suga’s neck. He began to sob again and Suga immediately felt his anxiety spike. Daichi looked concerned at Iwaizumi and Oikawa, who only sent him an equally concerned look. Iwa scooted closer to Oikawa, pulling his bestfriend into his side and rubbing his side as Oikawa racked his brain trying to find a solution for Tobio.
Kageyama was still sobbing into Suga’s chest a few minutes together, and after a lot of consideration, Oikawa stood up, pulling Iwaizumi with him and went into the bedroom. He pulled out his phone and opened his contacts.
“I’m calling Chibi-Chan,” Oikawa stated simply and Iwaizumi reached out for his arm from where he was sitting next to him.
“No you’re not, Tobio told us not to,” he tried to argue but Oikawa pushed his arms away then pinned them to his sides, shoving Iwaizumi onto the bed, he straddled his waist and pinned Iwa’s hands to his sides with his thighs.
“Yes I am. Tobio is in there sobbing, and he has been for thirty minutes now, and Hinata’s out thinking that everything’s fine while his boyfriend is here, feeling like he’s going to be replaced. So screw you Iwa, I’m calling Chibi-Chan,” Oikawa looked defiantly down at Iwaizumi, who tried to keep his own defiant expression on but Oikawa has a point so he conceded, going limp under his boyfriend. Said setter grinned triumphantly before turning his face serious again, pressing on Hinata’s contact.
It rang three times before Hinata was picking up, “Hey Great King!” Hinata exclaimed and as much as Oikawa wanted to smile he kept up his serious act.
“Hinata,” he greeted stoically, and he could practically see the tiny redhead stop in his tracks.
“Yes Oikawa?” He asked and Oikawa heard Akaashi in the background, hushing Bokuto. It sounded loud where they were, probably the promenade.
“Hinata I need you to meet me at your house in twenty minutes, there’s something really serious happening and you’ve been blind to it, so be there okay?” He could hear the rustle of Hinata nodding frantically,
“Okay Oikawa! Akaashi, Bokuto take me back home!” He cried and then hung up, Oikawa nodded satisfied then looked down at Iwaizumi.
“C’mon Iwa, we’re going on a field trip,” he exclaimed cheerily, climbing off of Iwaizumi’s hips, he held out a hand to his boyfriend and Iwaizumi huffed before letting Oikawa pull him up.
“Whatever Shittykawa, give me a kiss,” Iwaizumi complained, putting his hands on Oikawa’s hips and pulling him forward for a kiss. Oikawa giggled into the innocent peck then quickly pulled away.
“You can’t distract me honey, we’re going to Hinata’s house to help sort this,” Iwaizumi huffed and nipped at Oikawa’s chin but nodded, spinning Oikawa around and squeezing his hip as he pushed him toward the door. Oikawa sent him a dangerous glare and rolled his eyes before opening the door, Iwaizumi had to stifle a smirk.
“Alright, c’mon Tobio, you’re going with Suga and Daichi to where ever, Iwa and I have some business to attend to,” Oikawa said, walking over and pulling Tobio onto his feet. He looked fondly at his former Kohai and then kissed his forehead. “Don’t hurt yourself okay? Your welcome back later but we have to do something,” Kageyama nodded, eyes bloodshot and cheeks puffy. Oikawa sent him a sympathetic smile then turned to Suga.
“Come with me for a second,” he muttered and pulled the Karasuno mom into the kitchen, pulling him closer to whisper into his ear.
“I don’t know if he told you anything, but he told us, and he’s really emotionally drained so don’t push him, anyway, Iwa and I are gonna try and fix this, I just need you to bring him to Hinata’s house in a couple hours. Text me when you start going that way,” Suga looked extremely concerned but nodded dutifully before turning back to the setter’s boyfriends.
“Alright, Tobio, you ready?” Kageyama sniffed and rolled his eyes at Suga’s words but nodded. Daichi nodded too and both the bigger boyfriends patted him on the back at the same time. Suga and Daichi headed out and Oikawa rushes to find his shoes.
“C’mon Iwa, we have fifteen minutes!” He exclaims and Iwaizumi sighs, reaching for his black high tops and setting them on the coffee table before catching Oikawa’s arm as he tried to shove on his shoes.
“Unless you wanna walk out like that,” he pointed to Oikawa’s outfit, “You better change quickly,” Oikawa looked Dow and groaned, rushing into their bedroom and tugging on a pair of skinny jeans then rushed back outside and glared at Iwaizumi who was standing smugly by the door. He rolled his eyes then tugged on his shoes as well and dragged Iwaizumi down the stairs to the car and they were on their way.
When they reached Hinata’s house they could see Bokuto and Akaashi’s car sitting in the driveway and Oikawa had to swallow down his resentful glare. They hadn’t done anything wrong as far as they knew but Tobio was hurting and they’d torn Hinata away!
He was out of the car before the engine was even shut off, rushing toward the door. Iwa caught up with him as he knocked.
Hinata was there in an instant.
“What’s going on Oikawa?” He looked at Iwaizumi, “Iwaizumi?” Oikawa places his hands on Hinata’s shoulders and pushed him into the house, gently but nonetheless.
“Alright Hinata, get ready I am genuinely serious about this and when you find out what happened you have to promise to never let it happen again.” Hinata nodded frantically and Oikawa nodded in approval. He stepped past Shouyo into the kitchen where he found Akaashi and Bokuto sitting at the island.
“You two sticking around for this?” He asked and Bokuto shrugged while Akaashi nodded wearily.
“Alright whatever,” Oikawa looked at his boyfriend as he sat on one of the stools at the island, across from Bokuto and Akaashi, “You, come be my emotional support human,” he ordered and Iwaizumi huffed and stalked over to the stool next to Oikawa’s.
“You’re not the one who needs emotional support right now,” Iwa argued and Oikawa glared at him.
“Of course I do, if this doesn’t work the way I want it to, I’m gonna cry and I’ll have to be the one to tell him!” Iwaizumi rolled his eyes while Hinata jumped up to sit on the island.
“Guys! Tell me what’s going on!” He exclaimed and Oikawa was suddenly back to his senses.
“Yes, yes of course,” Oikawa looked at Shoyo very seriously again.
“Tobio showed up at our apartment about an hour ago, sobbing his eyes out and asking us to help him,” Hinata’s eyes widened in terror at the mention of his boyfriend. Oikawa noticed Akaashi tense at his statement and immediately knew that Akaashi knew they were intruding but decided to go through with it anyway, no doubt to please Bokuto.
“When we asked what was wrong he told us that he felt like he wasn’t enough for you anymore, and that you were distancing yourself from him,” Hinata looked to be on the verge of tears as Oikawa spoke.
“And no matter what we told him he refused to listen to us, insisting that if you felt that way you were completely right and he’s just been waiting for you to break up with him to put yourself out of your misery,” The tears in Hinata’s eyes began to dribble over and Bokuto rushed forward to grab him and probably argue with Oikawa but Iwaizumi caught his arm and gave him a warning look. Akaashi grabbed Bokuto’s arm to stop him front doing anything drastic, and when his boyfriend looked over, he gave him a pointed look that had Bokuto backing away.
“But I love him! He’s amazing and perfect and incredible!” Hinata exclaimed and Oikawa felt his heart wrench at the shake in Hinata’s voice, “He makes me feel ‘Fwah!’ and ‘Pwah!’ and ‘Whoosh!’ I love him!” Hinata cried and Oikawa nodded, reaching out to touch Hinata’s leg.
“I believe you Shoyo, but think about it, have you been spending much time with Tobio lately, have you kissed him, hugged him, really truly showed that you love him?” Hinata’s eyes watered and he began to shake with the intensity of his emotions.
“I made him feel so bad...” he muttered and Oikawa could do nothing but nod.
“He said that you two were supposed to go out today, but instead you went with these two,” Oikawa gestured to Bokuto and Akaashi, and before Bokuto could rush forward and complain again Akaashi was pinching his arm and glaring at him.
“Yeah...” Hinata mumbled and Oikawa looked at him sadly.
“Shoyo, When was the last time you went out with Tobio?” Hinata looked up at him.
“Yesterday evening! We went out and got meat buns with the team!” He decided and Oikawa shook his head.
“Hinata, when was the last time you two went out together alone, as a date,” He could see Hinata’s face screwing your in sadness as he tried to remember. The redhead obviously felt awful about it, but the fact that Hinata had to think so hard was sorta heartbreaking on Oikawa’s part. His poor baby Tobio has been so hurt.
“Hinata, if you really can’t think of the last time you two went on a date, maybe there’s a good reason for Tobio to feel this way...” Hinata looked at Oikawa hurt ag his statement and shook his head furiously.
“No! But I love him really! I really do love him!” He was sobbing, sobbing into his hands and wiping at his face so aggressively it hurt Oikawa’s heart to watch another of the baby crows cry so harshly twice in a day.
Oikawa caught one of his hands, “Then show him that,” he scolded, “Make sure he knows that you still want him, cuddle him while you’re in bed at night, kiss him when you two depart, kiss him when you meet up, he’s hurting Hinata, and it’s not completely your fault but you have to understand, everyone left him behind before, he doesn’t want to be left behind again,” Hinata nodded tearfully and Oikawa smiled sadly at the younger boy. He pulled Hinata into a bone crushing hug.
“I need to fix this...” Hinata whispered and Oikawa nodded solemnly.
“When Yobio showed up we called Suga and Daichi, he’s with them right now, they should be here in a while, you should get something ready for him, but,” Oikawa turned to look at the other couple on the other side of the counter, “We should probably get out of here before they arrive,” Akaashi nodded in understanding but Bokuto pouted slightly. He didn’t argue though, instead wrapping his arms around Akaashi and whispering something in his ear. Akaashi chuckled and nodded, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek.
“C’mon boys, y’all go, I’m gonna talk with Chibi-Chan just a little longer,” Bokuto, Akaashi, and Iwaizumi all stood up and left the kitchen while Oikawa stood up and pulled Hinata down into a bone crushing hug.
“You love him, and you know you do, this should end good, tell him that you love him, and tell him what you love about him, when he gets here, hug him, he’ll have a wall up around him, you’ll need to break it down. He’ll try to seem like he isn’t hurt, but you need to let him know that you know so that he’ll listen. And most of all Chibi-Chan, I don’t want to see him show up ag my door like that because of you ever again, if he does, I’ll never forgive you, got it?” Hinata nodded dutifully after Oikawa’s word vomit then hugged him again.
“Thank you for telling me, I bet he told you not to,” he whispered and Oikawa nodded while he petting his hair.
“He did, but you deserved to know, and he deserves to feel better, so make it happen,” Oikawa commanded then ruffled Hinata’s hair and walked out the front door with Iwaizumi. Bokuto and Akaashi has already left.
Hinata began rushing around the house, grabbing pillows and blankets and putting them on his bed, anticipating AMCAP (As Much Cuddling As Possible). Then he changed into a pair of black leggings and one of Kageyama’s sweatshirts, an orange one to be exact and a pair of white socks, then he ran downstairs to check for any easy food he could make. He was so lucky his mom and sister were out for the day, god this would have been so embarrassing, for them to know, for Natsu to know that he had done so badly at being a boyfriend.
He was heating up some water for ramen noodles when he heard a car in the driveway. Then there was a knock on the door. He opened the door to Kageyama, and almost kicked himself when he didn’t flinch at the bags under Kageyama’s eyes. They had been there for weeks, he had caused them. He immediately tackled Kageyama with a hug. His shocked boyfriend caught him quickly, holding him close as Hinata began to cry into his shoulder.
“I’m so sorry!” He exclaimed and Kageyama only felt his shock increase.
“C’mon, c’mon inside, I need to do so much and apologize and love you and tell you how much I love you and show you how much I love you and just remind you that you’re one of the best things that’s ever happened to me and I need you to know!” Hinata exclaimed letting go of Kageyama and tugging him inside. He dragged his boyfriend into the living room and shoved him down on the couch, quickly climbing into his lap and hugging him so tightly his muscles were tensed.
“I love you, so much, please don’t feel like I don’t,” Hinata whispered while he leaned their foreheads together, “You’re so important to me...” Kageyama felt himself begin to shake with the overflow of emotions.
“Please don’t say that just because Oikawa told you to...” He muttered brokenly and Hinata’s breath hitched. He pulled away and put his hands on Kageyama’s cheeks.
“Just because-,” He was shocked, not only that Kageyama apparently thought so lowly of himself, but that he also apparently thought so lowly of Hinata.
“Don’t say that, god please don’t say that,” he said, his voice becoming quieter and quieter with every word as he tried not to sob. He moved his hands into Kageyama’s hair.
“I love you! Tobio I love you so much and I’m sorry that I’ve been so bad at showing it and that I’m always cancelling and that I didn’t realize you were hurting! I’ve done everything wrong up until now and I’m just trying to do something right so please don’t put this off as an act of complacency with Oikawa,” he was actually sobbing now, tangling his fingers in Tobio’s hair.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry... I couldn’t do anything right and you deserved better but I was so stupid...” Hinata cried brokenly as he dipped his head down to his boyfriends chest. Kageyama’s hands came up to his boyfriend’s back.
“I’m sorry, that was so awful of me to say,” Kageyama whispered back, sounding just as hurt.
“No, no, you were hurting, and I was oblivious, god, Tobi you had to have a breakdown to someone for me to realise!” Hinata began sobbing again, burying his head in Kageyama’s shoulder and hugging him tightly.
“It’s okay, I’ll be okay, just... I’m sorry...” Hinata shook his head.
“No! You didn’t do anything wrong! I was so stupid! I love you!” Kageyama nodded and kissed Hinata’s shoulder.
“I love you too,” he whispered against Hinata’s shoulder.
“Okay, well you can come with me you can wait here, but my water is definitely boiling by now and I wanna make ramen.” Hinata ounces up from his spot in Kageyama’s lap and pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, giving him yet another apologetic look and walking to the kitchen. When he got there, he walked over to the pot and watched as the bubbles rose to the surface, trying to keep his tears from doing the same. He’d composed himself as quickly as possible while with Tobio but now he just felt like crying all over again knowing the full extent of Kageyama’s hurt was so painful.
“Baby?” Kageyama had called as he entered the kitchen seeing Hinata gripping the counter tighter than he should have. Hinata snuffed and brought his hand up to wipe his tears before shaking his head and looking back at the pot, dumping in a bunch of noodles and moving to grab some vegetables from the cupboard. He was stopped however when Kageyama’s much larger hand grabbed his wrist, stopping him.
“Don’t start cutting vegetables like this, talk to me, that’s what got us into this mess in the first place, I wasn’t communicating,” Hinata sniffed and nodded, turning around to face his boyfriend and maneuvering to hold his hand he leaned forward into Kageyama’s chest.
“How do I fix it?” He asked softly and Kageyama was once again shocked by Hinata’s words.
“What do you mean?” Kageyama asked and Hinata laughed sardonically into his chest.
“I changed something, or things, at some point in our relationship that made you feel this way, so tell me what, so I can fix it,” Kageyama sighed and wrapped his arms around Hinata’s waist, burying his nose in Hinata’s hair.
“You stopped kissing me goodbye, and hugging me good morning first,” Kageyama muttered and Hinata squeezed him tight in retaliation.
“I’m sorry,” was the first thing he said then he leaned up and kissed Kageyama’s nose, “I’ll remember from now on,” Kageyama smiled, but his expression went bitter sweet again fast.
“Then you stopped inviting me over, or offering to come to mine, you stopped acting like you wanted to be around me out of school,” Hinata’s heart clenched and he clenched Kageyama’s shirt in his hands.
“I do Tobio I really do, and if you really want you can come to mine or I’ll go to yours every night if that’s what it will take,” Tobio was the one to laugh sardonically this time.
“There’s no way your mother wants me here that often,” Hinata laughed into his chest.
“You say that but I think she would kill me if she knew I neglected you to this point,” Hinata muttered and Kageyama laughed for real this time.
“Okay, well I really like her too,” he muttered back and Hinata smiled into his chest.
“There’s more, I know it, tell me what else,” he asked, nuzzling Kageyama’s chest.
“Mm, well when we were together at night, you stopped cuddling me to sleep, you were always on the phone with Kenma...” Kageyama muttered feeling himself blush as he realized how pathetic he sounded.
“You were jealous!” Hinata exclaimed, using one of his hands to support him as he hopped up onto the kitchen counter, wrapping his legs around Kageyama’s waist. Kageyama groaned and leaned forward, resting his forehead against Hinata’s shoulder.
“To be fair I also thought you were growing tired of me...” he whispered and Hinata sobered up quickly. He wrapped his arms around Kageyama’s back and rubbed it soothingly.
“Okay, I’ll try to get off the phone faster, Kay?” Kageyama nudged Hinata with his nose and nodded softly. Hinata smiled softly as he rubbed Kageyama’s back.
Things weren’t perfect with those two, and they wouldn’t be for a while after that, but they both decided to work extra hard and put in the extra effort to keep eachother safe and happy from that moment on. It wasn’t a spoken promise, or a knowingly mutual one, but it was a promise to themselves for eachother, making it one of the most powerful promises of all.

So I’ve hit 400 followers! For those of you new here, every time I hit a multiple of 100, I add to this soulmate series. This time, it’s Kagehina’s turn, and I’ve been very excited to write my otp!
Hinata Shouyou hid his soulmate mark.
It wasn’t the nicest thing he could do, he guessed. It probably made actually finding his soulmate harder, considering he was in his first year of university and hadn’t seen a trace of them, but it was the best choice for him now.
He had the night sky on his wrist. If you looked close enough, you could see swashes of darker purples and blues, constellations packed into a small space only a couple centimeters across. Shouyou thought it was beautiful.
Other people didn’t think the same.
Without getting close, it looked like a bruise. Shouyou couldn’t really blame people for thinking so. After all, he was usually covered in bruises from volleyball and general life – or from being a dumbass, as Kageyama said. People would be concerned if they saw it, looking like the angriest kind of bruise, and he would assure them that it was just a soulmate mark, and then they would give him this look that was kind of like pity because they wouldn’t look close enough to see how beautiful it was.
It was easier to just wear a wristband and avoid that altogether. Shouyou had had that conversation enough times for one lifetime.
“Oi, dumbass, we’re going to be late for practice.”
“Right, sorry!”
Shouyou adjusted his wristband before sprinting after Kageyama out their door.
This was definitely one of the best parts of university. He and Kageyama were rooming together, which meant they never had a roommate to bother when they stayed out late practicing, or left early to go to practice before classes. They even worked well as roommates, bickering aside. They’d gotten better at stumbling through their homework together over three years of high school, and they had motivation to keep their grades up to keep their scholarships.
Shouyou had been nursing a crush on Kageyama since the end of third year, when they’d both been scouted to play volleyball for the same university, and Kageyama had given him this helplessly pleased little grin that hadn’t even looked that scary. This didn’t mean rooming with him was harder – quite the opposite. Shouyou wanted to spend more time with Kageyama, platonic or otherwise, and crush or no crush, Kageyama was still his best friend.
And the volleyball was incredible. Karasuno had been one thing, but playing in a big gymnasium every day, working with professional coaches, playing with other talented players – it was everything Shouyou had wanted.
The only problem was his 8 am economics class. He actually didn’t mind it that much – math was his best subject, not that that was saying much, so his grades weren’t bad in that class. The problem was that volleyball practice had a habit of going long, and he didn’t have a lot of time to get from the gym to the class in the first place. He’d been late more times than he cared to admit because of this, and his professor was threatening to dock his grade if he was late one more time. Since his GPA was kind of riding on this class, he was making a concentrated effort to stop being late.
And it was 7:50 now. The building was eight minutes away, if he sprinted. He didn’t have time to shower.
Shouyou threw on an excessive amount of deodorant, hoping it would hold him until the afternoon when his classes finished and he could shower in the dorm.
He felt a little gross sitting through class with drying sweat all over his body, but he did make it in time, and only a few people gave him funny looks for his smell. It wasn’t a bad day, but it was still a relief to get back to the dorm and step into the shower.
He didn’t bother putting on clothes when he got back to the room, just threw his towel over a hangar. Kageyama had class until 5 anyway – he’d been smarter about his schedule and planned so he had more free time after practice in the mornings – so he would have a few hours of the room to himself.
He flopped on the bed, letting his wrist dangle towards the floor. He should probably get started on his homework – he had an essay due in a week for his literature class, and it would probably take him a long time. He should maybe send it to Yachi to make sure it wasn’t terrible, and she would need a few extra days so she wouldn’t stress about it.
But he was tired, and the room was the perfect temperature of cool against his skin, still warm from the shower, and he started to doze off.
He was nearly asleep when the door to the room opened. Shouyou looked over his shoulder to see Kageyama walking in. He made no move to cover up. They’d seen each other naked enough times, and crush aside, it didn’t really bother him if Kageyama saw his ass.
“Thought you had class?” he mumbled.
“Professor let us out early,” Kageyama explained. “He had a conference to get to…did you hurt your wrist?”
Somehow, Kageyama had never seen his soulmate mark, so Shouyou had never had to explain that no, he wasn’t hurt. He prepared to do so as Kageyama lifted his wrist – gently, Kageyama was always more gentle with injuries than he looked like he could be – but something in Kageyama’s face stopped him.
Kageyama lifted his own wrist, holding it next to Shouyou’s. His face froze in that constipated look that meant he was upset. Shouyou propped himself up on his left elbow to look at their wrists together.
Oh.
They were a perfect match, Kageyama’s sun and his sky.
“Did you know?” Kageyama asked in a voice that was too small for him. Shouyou looked up to see wide blue eyes and a trembling lower lip. Kageyama never looked this vulnerable, and Shouyou had done that before. “I’ve never seen yours, but you’ve seen mine.”
“I…” Shouyou tried to explain himself, but even he didn’t have an answer. The truth was, he had seen Kageyama’s mark before, he’d just never connected it to himself. He didn’t have time to try and continue his answer, though, because Kageyama clenched his jaw and dropped his wrist.
And then he was at their door.
“Kageyama, wait!” Shouyou called after him, but he couldn’t exactly sprint out into their hallway naked. He grabbed the first pair of sweatpants he could find and ripped a hoodie over his head – Kageyama’s, which just made him feel worse – and ran out after him.
Kageyama was already out of sight, so Shouyou ran out of the building, calling his name. Kageyama was nowhere to be found outside, either, and Shouyou started running to the gym. Maybe Kageyama would be there, slamming balls into the wall to let out his anger.
But Kageyama wasn’t there, and Shouyou should have known better. Kageyama ran away when he was scared or hurt, and he wouldn’t have gone to the first place Shouyou would have checked.
Shouyou tried everywhere, running all over campus and shouting Kageyama’s name, ignoring the looks he was getting.
It was starting to get dark now, and he was no closer to finding Kageyama. Even if he was willing to push himself through the night, he probably wouldn’t find anything. Instead, he pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts.
“Yahoo, chibi-chan~”
Kageyama and Oikawa had come to some kind of peace after high school. Oikawa was at another university across the city, and sometimes Kageyama would go to visit him and get him to practice together.
“I’m looking for Kageyama,” Shouyou said, uncomfortably close to tears. “Do you know where he is? Have you heard from him?”
“Did the freak duo have a fight?” Oikawa asked, but there was something off about the lilt in his voice.
“Oikawa,” Shouyou said heavily. “Is he there? I really need to talk to him.”
Oikawa was silent for a minute, and Shouyou could hear a door shutting.
“He won’t tell me everything that happened, but I know it involves you,” Oikawa said, voice low and dangerous. No matter what he said, he was strangely protective of Kageyama.
“We found out we’re soulmates, and I really should have realized it before now, and I think he thinks I don’t want him or something,” Shouyou told him.
“You didn’t know?”
“I’ve only seen his mark on its own before today, and I cover mine,” Shouyou said. “I’m so stupid. I should’ve known.”
“Hinata,” Oikawa said, and Shouyou knew it was serious if he wasn’t even getting a nickname, “can you fix this if I tell you where he is?”
“I hope so,” Shouyou said. “Please. He’s the last person I want to hurt.”
“He’s at my apartment,” Oikawa said. “You better fix this when you get here.”
Shouyou was already running.
The trains were interminably slow, and Shouyou bounced his leg, tapping his hands nervously. Why couldn’t he just be there already? Every minute that passed was another minute Kageyama could leave.
He really was a dumbass, wasn’t he? He’d seen Kageyama’s mark every day for years, and somehow never put together that it was the mate to his. Kageyama had known Shouyou’s matched his the minute he’d seen it for the first time.
Finally, he got to the stop closest to Oikawa’s apartment, sprinting out the second the doors opened. Within minutes, he was knocking on Oikawa’s door.
It was Iwaizumi that answered. He gave Shouyou a hard look that he probably deserved.
“He’s in the living room,” he said. Shouyou kicked his shoes off and walked into. Kageyama locked eyes with him, and immediately turned on Oikawa.
“You told him I was here?”
“You two need to work this out,” Oikawa explained. “Let him explain himself.”
He and Iwaizumi left, and Shouyou was left alone with Kageyama and an explanation he wasn’t exactly sure of anymore.
“Are you ashamed of me?” Kageyama asked before Shouyou could open his mouth. “Are you upset it’s me?”
“No! God no,” Shouyou assured him. “I really didn’t know before today. I found out at the same time as you.”
“But you always cover it up.”
“Yeah, it looks like a bruise,” Shouyou explained. He held up his arm, letting the oversized hoodie sleeve fall down. “I got sick of everyone assuming that was what it was.”
“I thought the sun might mean you,” Kageyama said, looking at his own wrist. “But then, maybe I only thought that because I wanted it to be you? But you’re better at this stuff than me, and I thought…if it really was you, you would’ve noticed before me, and you never said anything.”
“I’m a dumbass, we both know that,” Shouyou said, hoping to startle a smile out of Kageyama. “But I’m not ashamed of you. I wanted it to be you too, and I was just too stupid to see that it was.”
Kageyama was staring at him.
“You wanted it to be me?”
“I’ve had a crush on you since last year,” Shouyou told him. “Wait, you wanted it to be me?”
Kageyama looked away.
“Hey, come on, I said it,” Shouyou teased, kneeling in front of Kageyama.
“Yes, dumbass, I wanted it to be you!” Kageyama snapped. “I’ve had a crush on you ever since second year!”
“Really?”
“Don’t rub it in!”
“I’m not,” Shouyou said softly, reaching for Kageyama’s wrist. “I’m really, really not.”
He looked at their two marks side by side. Sun and sky. They were beautiful together.
“Does this mean we’re dating now?” Kageyama asked. Shouyou snorted.
“I would hope so,” he said. “I didn’t just run all over for three hours looking for you for nothing.”
“Didn’t you have homework to do? Something you were supposed to send to Yachi tonight?”
“Crap.”
They left, giving Oikawa and Iwaizumi their thanks. Shouyou still had to finish his essay, staying up late into the night, but it was a little better because Kageyama stayed up with him, curled sleepily around his side and making suggestions even though he wasn’t any better at literature.
And nothing much changed. They still bickered, and raced to the gym, and tried to study together, and in general held each other together.
Because Shouyou couldn’t really shine until he had the night sky around him to support him, and Kageyama only really stood out because he had Shouyou’s light to complement him.

for the Sweet Affectionate Moments Meme, would you do 17 and KomaHina? ' v '
Hehehe, sorry for taking so long. I made this “drabble” twice, the first attempt being 4k words long and, well, I discarded it since it ended up being angst and I wanted it to be fluffy TTwTT
Fluffy… and a little bit nsfwish (just a tiny bit!), sorry not sorry ewe
17. A Love Bite
The only good thing about theFunhouse were the Deluxe Rooms. Seriously, Hinata and Komaeda couldn’t be moregrateful. They had a soundproof room to stay in, thanks to Komaeda’s luck forwinning it. But, even so, they still had to deal with a not too minor inconvenience…
Starvation.
Someone had to be murdered sothey would get out of the Funhouse and be free to eat something. It was already the secondday there, and things were starting to get difficult.
Anyway, this didn’t mean theycouldn’t have a little bit of fun meanwhile. Komaeda and Hinata surely knew howto let their worries fly away.
Again, the biggest benefit ofthe Funhouse: The Deluxe Rooms, Komaeda’s room, and it was obvious he wouldtake advantage of it.
Inside of the room, there wasa scene not quite appropriated for the situation they were in. But, at least, nobodywas telling them to stop and probably wouldn’t in the end. It was perfect.
Komaeda felt so lucky. Butthat could only mean bad news… right?
At this point, he kind ofdidn’t care much. He felt like dying inside, and the only cure for that (besidesfood) was Hinata devouring his mouth with kisses.
His room didn’t give a goodfeeling for them, too colorful and giving the impression of being part of some kindof cheap and creepy hotel. But it didn’t matter either, Komaeda was completely lostin Hinata’s touch, nothing else in mind.
With his back against themattress, trapped between it and the boy on top of him, he was left with absolutelyno control of the situation. The kiss was deep, as if wanting to cure thehunger with it. And, in fact, that was one of the main reasons they were doingthat in the first place.
It sounded like an excuse, but it wasn’t. Despite being attracted to each other and not being able to hideit anymore at this point, they wouldn’t have reached this limit if it hadn’tbeen for their despairing situation.
Komaeda was right in the end, hope needed despair to win. They were so close to it, he could actually feelit.
He moaned, just the thoughtof being this way with Hinata as something full of hope was getting him waymore aroused than expected. Hinata’s tongue playing with his, exploring eachother’s mouths. It was a magical experience granted by despair, to create awonderful hope.
Their bodies should be weakby now, the weakest. The second day without anything to eat, not even water todrink. And, even so, they were wasting their energy in pleasing each other likethe stupid and needy teenagers they were.
Komaeda circled Hinata’s neckwith his arms, pulling him closer as if that were even possible. He wanted totaste the other’s lips until his hunger fade away, until his desires could befulfilled, until hope won over despair. It was amazing, how they were so messyat kissing and, even so, they wouldn’t want to stop.
But, in the end, they bothneeded at least a bit of air in their lungs and pulled away, hardly breathing.
“H-Hinata…k-kun…” Komaeda gasped. Hislegs were twitching, almost shaking, feeling completely weak under the other boy’spresence on top of him.
The latter was also gaspingfor air, but he didn’t take his eyes off Komaeda. His hand travelling across the white haired boy’s torso, wanting to reach his neck.Komaeda’s thin and pale neck. At least he got rid of his green hoodie as soonas they both bumped into the bed, because it would have been pretty annoying atthis exact moment if he still had it on.
He became even weaker whenHinata rubbing his jawline with the tip of his fingers, nails softly scratchingthe skin. It felt ticklish, but good.
“Hm…” He was soembarrassed, but at least he was sure only Hinata would hear him. The worst casescenario would be Monokuma appearing to make them stop, but he wasn’t afraid ofa damn plushy and, besides, his luck would probably save them from thatpossibility too. Nevertheless, he shouldn’t be thinking about that. The onlything he wanted to care about now was focusing in the moment, in the pleasure…In the hope.
“This way you almostlook innocent, Komaeda,” Hinata chuckled. Was that supposed to be a compliment?Or just a joke? Because it wasn’t funny at all. Komaeda had never let anyonetoo close to him to discover that side of him, the innocent side… The pureside.
He had always lived in a fairytale story: waiting for someone to save him from the madness he was fated tolive in, and then have a happy ending with that someone. But that wasn’t howlife was supposed to be, and love wasn’t like that either.
His innocence about love wassurely something Hinata had to be surprised about. Komaeda was experiencinglots of new feelings because of him, and one of those were the cliché andstupid butterflies in his stomach while being under the other’s control.
It was obvious what his luck would wantto do next, but he was already dying inside, starving. And if he was going todie that way, at least he’d taste and enjoy Hinata’s lips as much as he could. He wouldn’t mind dying with the taste of that mouth as his last meal, it wouldeven be a meaningful death he didn’t deserve. And, because of this, he would bethe luckiest. Hope winning over despair in the end, just like wanted it to be.
“Komaeda,” Hinatacalled him again.
“Hm…?”
“Let me hear you.”
“W-Why?”
“Because you soundinnocent… And it kind of makes me want to forget….”
Forget that you should hatetrash like me, right?
But he couldn’t say thosewords out loud, he got trapped in a new situation. Hinata suddenly attacked hisneck, sucking the flesh and carefully biting it, sending little flashes of electricitythroughout Komaeda’s body. “Aaah… Hm…”
There was no more room forembarrassment in his mind, he could only think of the pleasure of having Hinatakissing his neck in a way he wasn’t expecting at all. Another new sensation toadd to the collection, was this what one of the biggest hopes felt like?
Was this… love?
And while Hinata was occupiedwith his mouth on the white haired boy’s neck, his fingers started tracing a path towards his face.
“Hi-Hinat…Mph…”His voice was completely muffled by two of Hinata’s fingers unexpectedly gettinginto his mouth. “Mmh…”
He was still moaning though, the saltytaste of the other’s fingers reminding him of how hungry he really was. It wasinevitable, sucking them and playing with his tongue, while biting softly andinnocently Hinata’s fingers just the way the latter was doing with his neck.
He felt so pleased, he even rolled hiseyes. And when he closed them, he could actually feel what heaven should be like.He couldn’t help grabbing Hinata’s hand his so he could lead his fingers evendeeper into his mouth, rocking his hand never getting enough of the stimulating taste.
He was so focused on pleasingHinata that he was even forgetting about his neck. What once started beinggentle, ticklish, now was being taken to a brand new level.
The bites on his neck becomingmore pronounced, almost hurting. It was a pain softened with pleasure, one moreunknown feeling to keep exploring. He even shrugged a little bit, as if hecouldn’t really handle that kind of sensation. “Hmm…”
Suddenly, Hinata abandonedhis neck and a wave of disappointment surrounded him. Komaeda wanted more, somuch more. However, when he saw Hinata’s expression while he was licking hisfingers, there was no way he could feel disappointed.
Now it was his time to shine.Even though his hope would never be as big as Hinata’s, he had to please himsomehow. He wanted to be useful for once.
Komaeda stared fixedly atHinata with his languid eyes, focusing on his tongue’s movements around theother’s fingers. Pulling them deeper into his mouth, sucking them, and thenpulling them away while gently biting them. He didn’t have a clue of what hewas doing but if it ended up being something Hinata liked, then he didn’t haveto worry too much about it.
“Do you feel less hungrythis way?” Hinata suddenly asked. His voice sounded serious, but a little grin was forming on his faceso there was nothing to be concerned about. And Komaeda felt that it was his time to stop, lettingHinata’s fingers go from his mouth and instantly wanting to have them backagain…
“Was this too much,Hinata-kun? I’m sorry I didn’t reach your expectations, someone like me waslikely to fail, right?”
Hinata just rolled his eyesand shut the other up with a new kiss on the mouth. Damn, Komaeda could kissthose lips all day long if he’d be able to do so. He didn’t hesitate to wrap Hinata’sneck with his arms, feeling they were back to where everything started.
However, before pulling away,Hinata unexpectedly gave a bite to Komaeda’s bottom lip, pulling the flesh alittle bit with his teeth.
“Hm…” he couldn’thelp moaning, again, knowing Hinata really liked that sound. But as soon asthey got separated again, he wondered… “Why was that, Hinata-kun?”
“I-I don’t know…”he could tell Hinata’s blush on his cheeks, “I’m hungry, you know.”
“I wouldn’t mind if youwanted to eat me alive right now. If it’s for the sake of Hinata-kun’s hope, there’sno way I could refuse.”
Again, the other didn’t seemto like that answer, Komaeda should start to learn how to keep his mouth shut. But the seriousness didn’t last long, fortunately, because Hinata’s eyessuddenly widened.
“What’s wrong?” Komaedawanted to sound relaxed, his arms still around the other’s neck, his fingersgently brushing his dark hair.
“Your neck… is…” he stifled alaugh. “I think you’re going to have some hickeys later…”
Komaeda tilted his head, confused, until he noticed what the other was talking about. All the kisses Hinataleft on his neck, those kisses that made Komaeda drown in pleasure, were goingto leave a trace of marks…  he’d had to check them out later. “Is that not okay for you? I can hide them somehowif it’s disgusting for you, or if you just don’t want the others to see them.”
“I didn’t mean that…” Hinata fellover Komaeda, growling. “Stop coming up with those kind of conclusions when Ididn’t say anything like that…”
Hinata’s weight on him… Itdidn’t feel bad at all, it actually felt lovely and warm. Komaeda’s cheeks weresurely burning, everything was way too perfect to be true, he was reallywondering what his luck had ready for him next. But, for now, he’d think ofHinata’s words a little longer. “Then you don’t mind me going around andshowing these hopeful marks you did to me, Hinata-kun?”
The mentioned one pulledaway, going back to stare right at Komaeda’s eyes. “W-Wouldn’t that be kind of…embarrassing?”
Komaeda chuckled and lookedaway, thinking deeper about that, yeah, it was embarrassing but… “If I also letmarks on your neck, would you be embarrassed?” His hands leaving Hinata’s hairto touch his neck by its sides.
“Yes, I would be. And notbecause ‘it was you’ or some other shit like the ones you usually come upwith,” he sounded angry but, in the end, he was also smiling. “Hickeys areembarrassing… that’s all.”
“Not for me, Hinata-kun.Every single thing you do is an act of hope for me, and I can’t be ashamed of hope.”
Komaeda knew Hinata wouldfrown after a comment like that one, Komaeda knew that Hinata was still farfrom understanding him. But, right now, he didn’t care. He was having a goodtime, and his only fear was the bad luck that had to come next. Everything wasbeing too easy right now… It was magical, he was even forgetting that they werestarving in a creepy Funhouse, until…
His stomach growled, in themiddle of the silence left between them.
Komaeda blinked a few timesand sheepishly smiled at Hinata, who limited himself to shake his headreluctantly. “S-Sorry…”
“So you’re still hungry,huh?”
“What does that mean,H-Hinata-kun?”
The brown haired boy onlyshrugged, as if wanting Komaeda to find the answer for himself. And, after afew but long seconds, he could come up with something. He stared right intoHinata’s eyes, a grin spreading across his face.
“Maybe… you can show me moreof your hope, Hinata-kun.”
“When you put it that way,you made me wonder if I’m making the right choices…”
And even though his wordscould sound harsh, he ended up being the one starting another hungry anddesperate kiss. Was this good luck again? Komaeda was really confused, everything seemed so wrong, yet so right…
But, well, when Hinataattacked his neck again, there was no room for thinking anymore.
