#anyway i had to look up what the goddess's star was called and i'm still doubtful i got it right
Note
Are you interested in more Fe3h worldbuilding lore because there's so much implicit stuff!! You can look at the character and country name and what they reference, the way the dress, or even what Fe3h is inspired from ( did you know the game take a lot of inspiration from Irish culture )!
For example, did you know that Sothis correspond to the Egyptian goddess Sopdet? She's the personification of the star Sirius, a reference to how Sothis come from space which lead to her being called "Fell Star" by the Agarthans. But more importantly, Sopdet is linked to the annual flooding of the Nile! It join how Sothis flooded Fodlan "In the land of Thinis, where the old gods are said to live, the False God has awakened. Its looming, heteromorphic vessel was resurrected to sink the world to the depths of the ocean. It will bring extinction to all children of men, and salvation to all beasts of the land, sky, and sea. [...] And soon, a flood aptly named Despair will drown this world. [...]" ( from the book "Romance of the World's Perdition" in the Shadow Library of the DLC ). Also, she's the goddess of the fertility brought to the soil by the flooding which tie with how Sothis created the Nabataean, the current humans, magic outside of Dark Magic and the crest. It's implied she created more than that in the book of Seiros ( it says she created all plants and animals ), but we can't take it by words with how the current Nabataeans rewrote the past to found the Church of Seiros to protect their kind.
For more crest lore personally I love this dialog from Linhardt A support with Byleth:
"Well, I don't see how Crests have much use in times of peace. Certainly there are Crests that make you stronger and could be used in engineering. And I suppose Crests that increase magical abilities might help doctors heal injuries... Still, the possibilities seem limited. It's as if Crests were designed to be used only in times of war. Their power meant to bring about death and destruction. I cannot prove what I say is true, but suppose for a moment that it is... The longer this war goes on, the more useful my Crest research becomes. But if the war were to end today, we would go on living, perhaps not using the power of our Crests at all."
( Very sorry for the unwanted ranting! I have no control over myself when it comes Fe3h lore )
Short answer: I'm just a little weirdo that gets hung up about weird details in games, and Fe3h has a lot of weird and interesting details. Long answer [and I might even talk about unrelated stuff too, sorry I don't often have the chance to talk about fe3h]: About fe3h, the game is surprisingly good at giving you just enough information to ask more questions, and then when you start paying more attention you're hit with more moments of "wait a second- what?" "That doesn't seem right." And part of that has to do with the fact that a lot of the time the information that characters give you [or Byleth] is somewhat unreliable, due to them either keeping vital information to them selves, they don't know the whole story, they're trying to manipulate you, or they're outright lying to you.
I remember I had a lot of hang-ups about Dimitri blaming Edelgard for what happened in Duscur because I had a hard time believing that a fourteen year-old would be able to orchestrate the assassination of a foreign nation's king [especially when considering the timeline of events for Edelgard herself]. However, in Dimititri's case his perception of the truth was warped by multiple factors. Such as his severe lack of sleep and rest, possible malnutrition, his abysmal emotional state, implied schizophrenia [or something like it idk I'm not a doctor], and the fact that Edelgard was, indeed, working to kill him and all of his friends for a year. It's not so much that he logically believes it or that Edelgard was responsible for Duscur, it's that he had to fight her anyway, and her involvement with it may as well make her responsible. [still kinda bullshit but it makes sense as to why he's being the way he is]
A better example would have been how Tomas/Solan tries to manipulate Claude into thinking that there was some kind of church conspiracy with information about the immaculate one only for Claude to later stop listening to him after he found out who Solan really was and what he wanted. But that was one of the things that were solved in-story which left me less room to chomp on and obsess over. [not a bad thing- this is good story writing.]
The other reason is that sometimes the writers mess something up but depending on what that is it can be more interesting to find an in-universe reason why something doesn't add up. For instance the whole thing about the Red Canyon. It's implied to be called that because the Nabateans were genocides there. The funky thing there is that Nabatean blood isn't red, it's green. What this can imply is a few things, that Nabateans have red blood in a human form, or there was a mistranslation somewhere between the Nabateans and the humans they worked with, or it was deliberate [which makes more sense now that I think about it]. Basically, it was probably called something along the lines of "bloody canyon" or something due to the tragedy that happened there, but it got changed to red canyon because The saints [or just Rhea/Sieros] wanted to both keep the history a secret, but also wanted memorialize what happened.
The game is filled with little stuff like this that give me so many little brain worms, and that tends to be the start of it. The rest of it comes with me mentally writing fanfic with an oc and I start to go: "Like what are their bathrooms like, how does the plumbing systems work, what tools are available, if magic exists how does it work, does magic still follow the law of conservation of mass, how does magic and using it affect the body, etc."
Like, the implicit stuff and the inspirations are definitely a factor, but it's primarily my little brain going off the rails and asking way too many questions that probably doesn't matter.

________________
The sky was clear. No sight of rain of fog whatsoever.
It was a normal night. It was a normal night, filled with fighting, bickering and slight physical attempts from Damian's side.
Dick sighs, already feeling a headache as Damian's grip tightens on the butter knife. Tim glares at him, and his eyes are so blue, shining with something almost electric. He flicks his gaze at Damian. "Aren't you going to do something? That brat's---"
"Pathetic, Drake. You can't handle me by yourself. It's a miracle that you're still alive."
There was a thunder as Tim's jaw clenches. He breathes, trying to calm down. Dick clicks his tongue. "Wooh. Looks like there'll be rain soon. Maybe we could skip patrol and just work on cases today." he nervously laughs, trying to ease the situation.
Tim looks at him again, and call Dick crazy, but he sees flecks of yellow in his eyes. Maybe it was the light. "I'm taking the night off. I have papers due tomorrow and some brat," he looks at Damian this time, and thunder rumbles again. "ruined all my hard work."
Damian tuts, chin raised high. "I did you a favor. Your work was sloppy. I expect you to take care of my company well, not to bring it to the ground before I've had a chance to fix your mistakes."
Tim clenches his fist and lightning flashes outside, striking a tree. Tim breathes, unclenching his hands and smiling politely at Damian.
"You'll be the one to bring WE down."
"Tim!"
His smile grows more vicious as lightning strikes closer to the mansion, rain starting to fall at a rapid phase. "You're an idiot, Damian. You're too rash with your decisions, you never think about the problems you'd cause for the future. The long term effects of your decisions in the present. You and your ego will be the reason for not only WE's downfall, but yourself as well. I hope you know that I wish you absolute misery in your future." Lightning strikes the tree right outside their house, splitting it down to the middle.
Tim nods at Dick. "Good day."
________________
Tim gasps at the sight of blinking lights around him. He tugs at the skirt of his mother. “Mama, what are those?”
Nyx turns to her child, looking at the sparkling lights surrounding them with awe. She smiles. “Those are stars, my love. They guide my path through darkness as I drive the moon across the sky.”
He looks up at her, owlish blue eyes looking at her in awe. “Can I have one?”
She laughs, loud and free in her chariot. “My darling son, you can have them all. Connect them, move them, do with them as you wish. The only star I truly need is you.”
Tim smiles at her, his skin sparkling as the wind tussles his hair. He’s bright, a brilliant light in her life. Her son. Her precious son. “I’m your star, mama?”
She nods at him, gazing at him with love, a softness to her stare. “Yes Tim. You’re my star.”

Renegade Winds Part 1
Hi this is the first installment of my Vigilante Wind au, if you like to read it on Ao3 (Here). Also this must be stated! When imagining Linebeck please be imagining @smilesrobotlover literally kept looking back at her art while writing this.
Anyways! Enjoy!
The thunder cracked as the heavy winds caused the raindrops to pierce the skin like needles, as sirens busted his eardrums, yet he still ran. Breathing deep, gargled breaths while carrying the weight of three children. Two were attached to his neck for dear life, refusing to let go. The last cradled in his arms, gasping for air.
His precious boy, his north star. How could he ever let that happen to him for so long? The man was an adult. He should have protected them better. He promised he would protect them now.
A glimmer of hope shined in the distance. Headlights, they had made it.
"Linebeck!" Jolene called, rushing to his side, trying to fight the rain. Followed by a group of four.
"Makar!" A robust and sturdy man with green hair and a mustache rushed over with two shorter Kokiri by his side.
"Papa! Fado! Saria!" The little forest boy cried, reaching for them.
"Medli!" A Rito man took the young bird girl in his arms.
"Uncle Quill!" She hugged him tightly.
"Oh, may the goddesses bless you, Linebeck, for what you have done for us today!" Deku whispered, eyes filled with tears as he held his young son.
"Don't thank me yet, lad, not until you've gotten away safely." Linebeck declared, making his way to a van. The other adults nodded, following his example, heading to different vehicles.
"Wait!" Medli became distressed. "We're not staying together!" She frantically looked towards Makar and Wind.
"Oh, little one…. it's safer for all of us if we part–" Quill tried to calm his niece down.
"WILL I EVER GET TO SEE THEM AGAIN!" The rito girl attempted to escape from her loved one's grasp.
"Will we…." Tears began to stream down Makar's face. Joined by the rainwater.
"We'll figure out a way for you to see each other again, I promise!" Jolene spoke up. "It might be several years, but we'll work something out. However, it will never happen if we keep standing here like sitting ducks." Heading to the driver's side, forcing this show on the road.
The children looked at one another, faces heartbroken more than one could possibly imagine. The adults hated doing this to them, but it was the safest opinion at the moment.
Still, in a muggy state, Wind weakly lifted his arm out to his friends, his fellow prisoners, the ones sworn to protect. Linebeck obliged, bringing the boy closer to the other children. With the others joining.
"I–I'm," Wind gasped for air.
Medli grasped his hand gently. "Deep breaths, ocean boy…remember. Inhale, 1, 2, 3, Exhale, 4, 5, 6, Inhale, 1, 2, 3, Exhale, 4, 5, 6.”
Makar placed his hand on top of the older two. Compassion filled his eyes as he watched his protector. Even at a young age, Makar knew Wind was the most damaged out of all three.
"Exhale, 4, 5, 6," The rito girl smiled shyly, now worried about what her friend would do without her.
"I'm…okay." The Hylian boy said slowly. "I'm," tears began to fill his eyes. "I'm going to miss you…I–I love you both."
Makar was the first to fall forward and wrap his arms around Wind's neck, followed by Medli. Forcing the parents to adjust their hold on them.
"We love you, Ocean Boy," Medli whispered. Not wanting to let go. While Makar furiously rubbed his cheek against Winds. With one final squeeze, Medli and Makar slowly let go.
"Take care of them," Linebeck demanded, taking a step back.
Both families nodded before rushing to their cars. They all were going in different directions. Hopefully, that will be enough to shake the Yigus off.
Linebeck quickly made his way to the van's side door. Slamming it open, and as gently as possible, placed Wind down on a stretcher mattress. He and Jolene had planned to have it for Wind.
The man, not wanting to waste another second, looked over Wind.
The boy looked awful. He was drenched from head to toe in rainwater and began shivering. This wouldn't do. He did not just bust his boy out of an experimental prison just for him to get sick. Linebeck carefully pulled the simple hospital gown off of Wind. It was the only thing the children were allowed to wear in that forsaken place. Launching the evil piece of cloth into the corner of the van. They burn it later.
Then he wrapped his child in the warmest blankets before buckling him in. "You remember the plan, right?" He flashed his eyes over to Jolene.
"Get the kid to safety, get him checked out by a medic, take him to the safe house, leave him with Gonzo, and come and pick you up at the spot." The women nodded, fully understanding.
"Wait–pick you up?" Wind's head buzzed at the question. In a wrong way. "Y–you're not coming with us?" The young boy reached for Linebeck's arm, gripping it tight. "No–no, please come with us p–please." He couldn't do this without his dad. The air around him started to pick up. He was going to lose control.
When hands cupped Wind's face, slowly massaging his temple, "shhhhhhh, it's going to be okay. They don't know it was me. If I go back now, I can get lost in the chaos, and they will never find out."
The boy's body wanted to protest, but he was so exhausted, and Linebeck had figured out how to basically incapacitate his body. All he could do was cry and whimper, "nooooo." He sounded so far away.
Linebeck smiled at the boy, carefully adjusting him one last time. When a bit of blue caught his eye. "Here," the man whispered, pulling a long navy blue trench coat over the boy. "It's my favorite coat. Take care of it for me until I get back, okay?"
Wind could only twitch in response.
"Once we're together again, I'll take you sailing, okay, lad? Just like we talked about, I'll be the captain, and you'll be my first mate. We'll be Sailors together." Linebeck stated, barely holding it together. He leaned forward and kissed the boy on the top of his head. "We'll be together again soon…I promise." With that, he closed the van door.
Missing the one word that would have changed his mind.
Wind lifted his fingers up, wanting to reach out for Linebeck. "D–dad…."
Everything went dark.
"WIND!"
"AH!" The sailor jolted awake, sweating. Surrounded by pillows and blankets.
"Good morning, ocean light! It's 3 p.m., time to fight the day!" The woman leaned against the doorframe.
It took a second to register what was happening when he realized he flopped back down on his bed. "Joooooolllllleeennnneeee, PLEASE don't startle me awake like that!"
"Ha, sorry about that sailor, but you know it brings me a bit of joy!" She laughed, waiting for the sailor to throw a pillow or insult back at her. He didn't, "oh…" she walked over to his bed and sat on the edge. The boy's eyes were watery. "Have that dream again…."
Wind clutched a pillow and nodded. "It's been two years, Joe….what if he's really gone…."
"Hey," Jolene fell back on top of his legs. "Don't talk like that, kiddo. Linebeck is still alive out there…somewhere. Trust me, he wouldn't die knowing you're out here waiting on him. We just have to keep looking." She smiled confidently.
Wind stayed sad.
"Listen, Wind, I promise you if Linebeck is really dead, I'll dive down to the underworld myself and drag him back. Man's not leaving me alone in this world without paying any child support. Come on now!" Jolene winked at the boy, watching as he tried to hold back a laugh, but he failed. "There we go." She lifted herself up. Throwing a shirt at the kid's face. "Now come on then, Gallow's is waiting for you to pick her up from her awful tower, and you need to actually put on clothes. Honestly, I do not understand you. You wear shorts in the winter and a hoodie in the summer with a scarf, but when you're sleeping, you like, 'hmmm yes, shirtless' what is that all about!" Jolene placed her hands on her hips.
Wind, not even bothering to remove the shirt, answered. "Not everyone can understand my genius! Also, who's on duty tonight anyways?"
Jolene chuckled, "Crimson Rider, Wild Card, and for once, actually Deity."
"Oh! Heroes that actually like me! Wonderful!" Wind laughed, pulling the shirt off his face.
"Yes, but be careful with Rider, you two share the skies, and he's extra protective of the princesses." Jolene smiled, making her way out.
"Will do."

Jupiter Brain Snare
Tumblr media
A quick, QUICK something. Happy Spooky Szn! I usually avoid pairing two real people so there's no smut because that could be weird for them and awkward. Anyways... lol
Pairing: Winston Duke x Lupita Nyongo
Tags: Hypnosis, Sex Pollen
Winston was a humble plant dad searching Lowes for the perfect plant to take home while his wife Lupita searched for perfect shade of green paint to go in the study. Winston needed a unique and impressive plant that could thrive without direct sunlight. Lupita suggested a peace lily, but as he explained, it was too basic. Lowes' selection in itself was basic. He was getting frustrated.. until he noticed a wet pink flyer between two plants. A nearby grower was boasting of unique crossbreeds with a business called Rare & Cool Plantz.
He called the number first to make sure the sellers were home before heading the 10 minutes in their direction to view their selection. They were a dodgy European couple from a city he hadn't heard of in Austria. He made it a mental memento to google Hallstatt when he left. There were all sorts of odd and unique looking plants, one in particular catching his fancy. It was a white jellyfish plant. It looked like something that would be found deep underwater but it also seemed to be thriving.
"That's a Jupiter Brain Snare."
"What's the maintenance?"
"It's so bland, what about these orange ones," Lupita stood next to large flower bulbs shaped like stars.
"Those are Tiger Scratch," the man pointed but Winston had made his decision.
Tumblr media
"I'll take this.. Jupiter Brain Snare.
"Water every other hour."
Every other hour? It was high maintenance. That would be an impossible task. Still, he wanted it. He paid $50 to sit it the computer desk and admire it constantly watering the soil every hour until he was sleepy, his head nodding. He couldn’t be vigilant all the time between work and sleep. He went nine hours without watering his plant to find it drooping. A little stream woke it up, but it wasn't the same so he sat as he intended to do with his laptop and worked away, only stopping when his head began to drop. He'd jolt and keep typing as if she weren't just asleep and then he'd be out again.
He opened his eyes to his wife standing before him in bright orange lingerie he'd never seen and an orange feather boa. She dropped her matching orange strappy heel on the desk and yanked him up by his collar. He watched her full red painted lips as she whispered something he did not hear and she pushed him backward, back into his seat. His heart was pounding as she rounded the desk and sat on it parting her thighs and wrapping his neck with the boa. He was in heaven when she pulled him in, motorboating between her thighs.
"Hnn," he woke with a start wiping his drool and steadying himself in his chair. "LULU."
"What," she appeared wide-eyed. "I'm on the phone." She was in brown overalls, her locs tied back with a scarf. He shook his head and she left him sitting still clinging to the dream. He woke his computer and began to type again, mumbling to himself.
"Now what did you want," Lupita reappeared in a bright red bodysuit with red patent leather thigh high boots. His jaw dropped. "You called me for a reason," she approached sweeping everything off the desk and shutting the laptop. She sat it on the lounge chair. Then she climbed over the desk and stood watching him as he gazed up at his giantess, enviting her size 8.5 stilleto boot to his face. She was stepping on him like a little submissive bug and he was growing hard watching her taunting red lipped smile. "Are you a good boy, Winston?"
"Yes my Kenyan-Mexican goddess," he whimpered feeling the cold water when he snapped awake seeing his wife's concerned face at the entrance of the study in the same brown overalls with an oven mitt.
"Winston," she stared, "Are you okay? You've been acting weird." She approached and he hid his erection with his hand. "Winston.. are you having sex dreams," she grinned now close to his face. He didn't want to admit something that made him feel like a pubescent boy again. "Winston," she teased poking at him.
"Maybe I should take a break, this work is making me delirious. I'll be in the room."
"Rawrr," Lupita growled after him smiling as he turned the corner to head to their bedroom. He couldn't sleep. Away from the desk he was wide awake. He decided to go bother his wife in the kitchen, tasting the food and horseplaying until she kicked him out. He hung around instead making kissy faces in her peripheral. "WINSTON," she marched back to his desk. "You're driving me crazy, what about your work.."
"I'll finish dinner and youu.. finish reading through that report for me, I can't focus."
"Don't burn my rice!"
"I am African, I don't burn rice!"
Lupita settled in the desk chair and woke her husband's laptop finding a document with a lot of text. He had four windows open and then outlook and teams. "Okay," she sighed looking at the white jellyfish plant that sat in front of her. It looked bigger than usual. It had little white vines that weren't there before. She did a double take and started to read aloud. About 8 lines in her eyelids began to droop. She smelt something distinct. It was that plant! "WIN- wins-," she slurred seeing him re-enter the study sweaty all over, glowing and oiled in loincloth with an axe over his shoulder.
"Sweetheart I'm going to chop wood in the forest. A man's nature calls." His voice was deep and very un-American. His pecs danced as he headed out the door.
"I'm coming," she scooted behind him grabbing her keys. She watched his juicy ass and powerful thighs from behind reaching out for a handful when she heard a loud smash and fall. She was back in the desk chair salivating and staring dead ahead. She wiped her mouth and Winston was standing fully clothed with a ladle in hand. The plant was a mess on the floor. He jumped on it stomping it like a snake.
"It's the plant," he swallowed.

Time for the last episode. How are they going to fit four past speedsters into the Eddie-gone-evil show in a satisfactory manner? I... have no idea, but let's find out.
I've missed the episode starting voiceover + that specific music. Nostalgia points right there, with Barry asking "i need you to believe in the impossible" :D
So I like the implication that the N!SF took Zolomon from the Black Flash and restored him to being human again. Godspeed showing up and immediately starts posturing. And Zolomon starts posturing. Like evil speedster peacocks. Flirting a little too. Oh, there's Eobard. Coming downstairs because they're in Joe's house? For some reason?
I dunno, I mean, I assume Eobard was going through Barry's childhood room and making fun of his science fair projects. This place seems built from Eobard's hatred of Barry.
Godspeed - Any last words? Eobard - *actual line* Never wear white after labor day.
I also appreciate Eobard calling out Zolomon on copying his playbook and then calling him a V9 junkie. I mean, my Eobard survives because of Flashback series is gonna have Eo giving Zolomon shit about that too. (Not that Eobard has a leg to stand on given what the N!SF has been doing to him, but when has Eobard cared about being a hypocrite???)
Godspeed - I'm the one true god of speed. Savitar's armor - *appears* No, bitch, that's me.
Eddie - Welcome to the dead man convention. We're gonna have a Flash killing party. Who's with me? Eobard - I... don't have any faith in you, sorry. Eddie - What if I have a snazzy new suit and a scary voice? Eobard - I'm listening.
Iris is still having a baby. I don't think it usually takes this many episodes for one baby to be born.
HEY! THE BLUE FLOWERS. They're a bouquet that Eddie has brought for Iris. While she's in labor. So he can try to... steal her from Barry?
So after all the blue motif up until now and Eddie's lightning is still red. Disappointed.
Always do enjoy a good speedster battle. And hey! Nora again :D She's being born and she's showing up for the good fight. Double duty, that one.
Mark's tit's out again. Please dude. Shirt. Wear one.
(It's late and I'm getting sleepy. I think this is showing in my writing a bit.)
there's something a bit different about Zolomon's suit here - it's just... less creepy than S2? maybe they were doing something different with it in that season, but it's just slightly off looking now
Barry - Execute delta maneuvers. *actual line* Me - What the... is this Star Trek all of a sudden?
Admittedly... Barry is a Star Trek nerd. I'll give it to him.
I like how Nora beats Savitar. He almost kills her the way he intended to kill Iris, but because she's a speedster she can just... vibrate so that the sharpy pointy thing phases through her. And then she just stabs Savitar. Are we finally, finally allowed to kill the bad guys on this show???
Yes!
Cecile getting to be badass again. I don't think she actually killed hers, though.
Eobard showing up to annoy Chester. Eobard hates him just for being Team Flash. Very Emperor torturing Luke vibes. And Allegra one-hit-KOs him anyway. Honestly, Eobard just seemed annoyed, not personal, about dealing with Chester. I do think it would have worked a lot better if it had been Eobard vs Cisco again.
So... how does Hunter know that Khione is a goddess? Or even not Caitlin. Would have definitely preferred he mistook her for Caitlin and she got to correct him.
Hunter - I am the darkness. *shows off* Khione - *glances at Blaine, rolls her eyes*
Khione basically one hit KOs Zoom with his own lightning and Mark just stands there thinking he looks pretty.
Oh, Eobard isn't out yet, he's gonna do some more villain ranting.
I think maybe Eobard should have just run off to a motel somewhere with Savitar. That would have been hilarious. And less embarrassing for him than Allegra taking him out a second time in one fight. He, uh, probably should not have brought up Nash.
So I assume that while Allegra and Chester are kissing, Eobard slinks away to safety and calls it a strategic retreat.
Jay shows up and... steals Eddie's speed? A trick he picked up from his E90 doppleganger? (I really do need to finish watching that show...) Powers as the plot demands, I guess.
Oh, no slinking away for Eobard, he's been absorbed. By Eddie stealing the speed from all the other bad guys.
Barry - Let Eddie die? No. In fact, more importantly, fuck no.
(Westhallen can still win... not letting that go...)
Khione - So it sounds like a cycle of violence. You gotta break out of it, but my advice on how to do so is kinda crappy and nonspecific. Sorry. Barry - I am so tired of watching the people I love suffer and die. Khione - Coexistence! RaRaRa. Barry - *sigh*
It's really red inside the Negative Speed Force. Where the heck is that blue theme???
Barry just hug Eddie again. Hug it out, guys. Just hug it out.
They're really trashing the set, huh?
Barry - Don't you see you sound just like the guy you died to stop? Eddie - Oh shit. You're right.
I mean, it was out of character for Eddie to agree to be the bad guy anyway.
So Eddie destroys the blue crystal which, uh, turns the N!SF blue? I'm so confuzzled. But I guess Eddie was destroying the source of all the hatred in the N!SF? Yeah. Let's go with that.
Barry gets back to the hospital just in time for Nora to be born. :D
So Chester still has some cosmic energy and maybe powers. And that's only coming out now??? *sigh*
Nora hanging out for her birthday as in, sticking around to hang out with Team Flash while she's being born. Like normal Speedster do. (Where is Bart???)
Timeless Wells - Howdy. So, time to ascend to a higher plane. Khione - I gotta say my goodbyes first. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
Iris looks very fresh and not-sweaty for having just pushed out a baby. I remember what my sister looked like post giving birth and she wasn't quite that make-up and hair done looking.
Joe singing!!!! to his grandbaby!!!!
I do still think Nora should have been a twin.
So, uh, I guess we don't get to see Timeless Wells with wany of the rest of Team Flash? That sucks.
Khione makes her goodbyes, ascends to a higher plane (in a very four elements sort of way that sadly does not result in a glowing squid like when Daniel ascended on SG-1), and she leaves a Caitlin behind... Barry sounds like he's about to cry when he hugs her. Blaine is hugged last. Almost thought she'd skip him.
Baby party! Is Nora attending her own party twice over? Yes. That dork. David Singh is there in the background, I think. Ohhh, Timeless Wells is there, okay. that's better.
Nora - oh if you think this was crazy, wait for Bart to be born. Barry & Iris - O_O
Joe proposes to Cecile which... I dunno if the baby party was the time to do it, but the way he does it is sweet. It is David! He's been hanging on to the ring for Joe. And Cecile makes him put a pillow under his bad knee before kneeling.
Really wish Cisco was here. He and Kamilla should be.
Aww, Barry's gotten the book the Runaway Dinosaur to baby Nora. :D
Barry getting to be a dad and hold his baby. Been wanting this for him since S6.
Barry choosing new speedsters! Avery Ho, Max Mercury, and Jess Chambers. (That last one makes me miss Jesse Wells though.) It's probably not gonna go anywhere since the show is done and the arrow-verse seems unlikely to get a new show (or shows) at this point. But I like the message that power like the speed force is meant to be shared and that as this chapter of Barry's story closes the Flash family is continuing to grow ever larger.
I'd love to know what Eddie's gonna do with the negative speed force in order to 'keep the balance with the regular speed force. But I guess we don't get even a hint. Personally, I say Barry and Iris date him, so we have the avatars of the two speed forces sharing the same lightning rod. That is how Westhallen can still win.
Nora gets to be Eddie's daughter after all, that way. And maybe she goes through a blonde faze that makes Eddie cringe in memory of what happened in the previous episode.
So, overall... it was not a bad end to the show. Eddie deserved better, but I knew that going in. Cobalt Blue was in name only, was pretty sure of that going in also. That first episode was a high point that the other episodes couldn't match and I can't say the final villains of previous seasons being made mini-bosses for Team Flash to take out was in any way satisfying, but it was kinda fun to see Zolomon one last time. Savitar didn't even take his helmet off but I guess they didn't want to try to do the facial scars again (or let Eddie realize he was teaming up with an evil version of the guy he was super resentful of). Godspeed i just never managed to care about to begin with (they kinda squandered his plot tbh). And Eobard - usually as EoWells - shows up practically once a season. So I never have time to miss him. And we did see the Matt!Eobard version in the first Ep.
Eddie being jealous of Barry worked, but wanting to force Iris to be in love with him or being power hungry didn't. So when it fell apart real fast, that only worked if I assumed it was just Eddie's real personality re-asserting itself because the N!SF's influence had been precarious to begin with. So basically the Cobalt Blue plot was kinda weak.
It held up better than Armageddon though. And had fewer blatantly obvious plot holes than Armageddon or Red Death. (We still. don't know. where batwoman was until she popped up to help kick Red Death's ass. this bothers me.)
I have things to say about Khione's arc, but that'll be a separate post. Tomorrow. After I've slept. It's almost 1:00am. So I guess I technically mean later today, but whatever. it is still 'Friday' until I go to sleep and wake up on Saturday if I say so. (my spelling is getting so bad, I've deleted and re-written and then re-deleted and re-written so many words now)
I'm sad the show is over, but at the same time really glad it's done. I know some of the fandom will move on, but I'll be sticking around for a long while and I know I won't be the only one. This show has been a wild ride and to those of us who will remain... the ending of a chapter does not mean the ending of the story. We will simply have to forge the next pages ourselves.

Frogs Do Fly and Gods Do Bleed
Hello beloveds, if you're bored why don't you read this snippet of completely random cringe hmm? I know you want to ;)
(random notes/wannabe ff? Just to let you know I'm not a fanfic writer, I only fancy myself a school literature connoisseur and with said stories being only in czech I will not even bother trying to understand English commas cheers)
✨Obi's headcanon backstory✨
Starring
Child 'why are we still here? Just to suffer' Obi
And LOT of OCs
Including
Child 'same bullshit, different day' Nokaru
Little brother 'I won't hesitate bitch' Haru
Sister 'I'm a nun cause not even the Gods can help me' Fiona
Big brother 'damage control' Tom
And some more! :D
....
Obi was different than other 8 year olds, he had to be. To survive. To be able to make it out there for so long on his own. He was strong, cunning and independent. He was better. But beside edgy internal monologs about life and death, he fitted into the same category as other 8 year olds. Dumb. That's what his mother said. Obi still sometimes thinks about her. He used to be sad about her.. "situation", but now he just laughs. She was the dumb one. At least that's what auntie Anna-Marie from the Bloody Mary brothel says. And Obi is convinced she's right.
....
Sister Fiona, the apathetic nun who for some reason was appointed as another one of the caretakers, said the great goddess Somni doesn't find the kids lives interesting enough to hate them. That so called cold hard truth caused Obi to release a snicker. Seeing Obi's reaction made his baby brother, still only 6 years old, snicker as well. Aniki lightly bonked both of their heads with a sigh. Nokaru stayed silent. Obi wonder if she believed the words of Sister Fiona.
....
Obi pondered about the great goddess some more.
Maybe she hated him like he hated green beans... Maybe she hated him the same way he hated his mother.. And maybe she hated Obi the same way his mother did.
....
"You can ignore 70% of the nihilistic bullshit Sister Fiona says.... With all due respect." Obi added the last part after short pause out of actual respect of Sister Fiona. He was also convinced she could hear everything so he tried to patch up his little slip up.
"Nihilistic?" Nokaru turned her head to the side in a questioning manner. How cute. Obi coughed.
"Ehm.. Well it's like... " Obi didn't have an answer for Nokaru's question because he himself didn't know what the word meant. He just recited the same phrase he heard Tsu-sensei say a while ago to his older brother.
Nokaru noticed Obi's skittishness and decided she will just ask Sister Fiona what it means later herself.
"Anyway!" with a little huff Nokaru swiftly pulled herself up from the fallen tree trunk she was sitting on, making sure not to slip on the tree moss, she sled closer to Obi who was sitting at the end of the trunk.
"I heard Mr. Zarr is returning today. Let's go ask Mrs. Rita when exactly he will be back."
Nokaru tried to sound more excited than she actually was.. It's not like she wasn't happy The Boss will be back, of course not! She was pumped and wanted to ask all about his adventures in Tanbarun. She just wanted to change the topic fast to make Obi feel less uncomfortable. And it worked. Obi pulled the biggest smile she had ever seen on him. Good. Obi's usual relaxed demeanor changed into ecstatic one. In an instant he jumped up, grabbed Nokaru's hand and with a boyish smirk sprinted towards the main house.
....
"GUYS THERE'S A FROG HERE!" yelled little Haru excitedly from the rocky side of the pond where the gang has been camping out for a while now.
"Where?!" star eyed Nokaru run up to Haru's crouched down figure in full speed, almost tripping over the bigger rocks in her path.
"Awww Haru where did it go?"
"Wha- huh no... It just flew away!" Haru gasped with whiny tone, looking all around. No frog to be found.
"It.. flew.. away?" raising an eyebrow Obi walked over to join the hunt for the lost frog.
The older kids, only including Tom Aniki and Hana, were trying to fish in peace still standing on the other side of the pond. Tom just shook his head.
"Maybe it did fly away.. " defeated sigh followed soon after Tom mumble the claim to himself. He just doesn't want anyone fighting again and burst Haru's bubble. That being said it was hard not to start playful fight with both Obi and Haru present.
"Frogs don't fly, stupid." scoffed Obi.
"Well this one just did!" whined Haru defensively.
"STOP LYING!"
"IT DID FLY AWAY!"
In the middle of this childish and petty bickering, stood Nokaru, like a stick figure you would draw with dull crayon.
"You guys..." the more reasonable child tried to laugh it off with an awkward giggle. Her attempts went unnoticed. The bickering continued.
"IT DID! IT DID FLY AWAY! CAUSE FROGS CAN DO ANYTHING AND YOU ARE JUST A MEANIE!" yelling on top of his little lungs Haru pumped his fists in almost cute threatening manner. Obi just laughed at his little brother.
"I'm a meanie? Really, that's all you got?"
"Dickhead."
"Oh, okay."
---------
What tf is this? Who knows Lmao I just wrote random things that came into my mind when I was bit tipsy, tried to explain some dynamics ig I still feel they are not really the way I want them to but oh well
Some more notes:
Goddess Somni is just reference to Atlas of Clouds and Moon Knight (protector of travelers of the night) basically. I wanted to give the underground tm some depth so I gave them this Lmao. They are evil but they have their own God they respect.
Actually I have no clue why I picked Sister Fiona to be there when she's kinda irrelevant in the overall OC story (I just like the trope of idgaf nuns)
Obi was adopted into his older brother's family and so was his little brother
his big bro's word is holy to Obi, with Haru... welp he's ready to throw hands
Nokaru took a passive role in these notes for some reason??? Idk

Working on something unrelated to my older fics in an attempt to shake off half a decade of fanfic rust. I'm also going to go under the theory that if I throw something out into the world it will provide some extra motivation to write faster. 😁
So here's the unbeta'd initial draft opening snippet of a (longer than I thought it would be) fic my muse insisted on. Because Setsuna needed some attention before the others join the fray...
That Part of My Soul
Part One: That Night Beneath the Moon
The night air was warm and heavy, wisps of clouds swimming around the star filled sky.  Pluto blew her bangs from her eyes while keeping watch on her small and wily quarry.  She had found the creature, looking more like a common red squirrel in this day and age than the mischief maker it was, milling around the rec center at the heart of the university community.  It had been early afternoon at the time, and the kirkri had seemed content and happy taking scraps from Saturday passers-by or jumping playfully among the tree branches.  She had spent hours silently stalking it as it meandered from open space to open space, until finally the sun had set and the people largely vanished.  Her hope was that it would lead her to the object she sought, and as it finally began to head closer to the dorms, she thought her chase would be coming to a close.
Hidden behind a phone booth that was so new she could smell the paint on the sign, she watched the kirkri, still playing among the flora in the university park.  In the darkness of a crescent moon and poor security lighting, she could barely see more than the pale golden glow of its eyes, though she could plainly hear its soft chitter.  She truly wished the creature would stop playing and return to its power source.  It had to be running low by now, especially with no moon to speak of in the sky.  If it would just hurry a bit, she could collect the artifact and be back at the Gate before Earth’s sunrise.
She smirked.  As for the creature itself, if she could trap it without its mistress she knew exactly when and where she was going to leave it.  This whole mess was the fault of the Venusians anyway, so they should get to share in the aftermath of it just a little.
The good natured vindictiveness of Pluto’s musings were interrupted as the creature suddenly stopped its foraging.  It sat starkly upright, its ears turning to amplify a sound she hadn’t yet heard. Iridescent whiskers twitched as it sniffed the air.  Then it cooed low, the sound soothing if not for the details of the situation.
A moment later the slight frame of a woman came into view as she rounded onto a pathway from the street.  From a distance, Pluto couldn’t make out much beyond a pair of glasses and reflective stripes on the sides of white sneakers.
Then those tiny golden eyes turned and stared directly at her. And by the Goddess, the creature smirked at her, its whiskers fluttering as it chittered in what sounded like amusement.  A shiver of golden static ran over its reddish fur and then it bolted in the young woman’s direction.
Pluto frowned.  So much for a quiet night and an easy assignment.
Calling forth her staff, Pluto moved to pursue but was brought up short when the kirkri casually wound itself around the startled young woman’s legs like a cat, its chitter now a high pitched purr.  She moved slowly, staying out of sight, as the young woman bent to pick up the creature and cradled it in the crook of her arm.
Closer now, Pluto could make out the details she had been missing.  The woman was maybe 20, her blue hair hanging in a loose braid halfway down her back.  There were glittery cloud patches sewn on the pockets of her high cut denim shorts that matched the rainbow and bubble printed letters on her pale yellow t-shirt.  When she’d bent to lift the creature, the dull light had glinted off the large squarish lenses in her tortoiseshell frames, allowing Pluto to glimpse the gray of her eyes.  As she stood, that same light reflected off the bright neon passcard hanging from the zipper pull on her backpack, the bold electric blue “EyeSpy ‘72” standing out even in the dark.
The young woman cooed at the kirkri as she waggled a finger at it.  “Hey there.  Aren’t you just the cutest… well I’m not totally sure what you are.  Squirrel?”  She giggled then tickled its tummy, eliciting a happy chitter.  “My name is Kaya.  It’s nice to meet you.”
The kirkri took her finger between its tiny paws and pulled it into its mouth, gnawing lightly like a baby on a bottle.  Pluto nodded, realizing what the creature was doing.  Her mind quickly ran through several scenarios on how to handle this as she stepped into Kaya’s line of sight.
One blue eyebrow arched as Kaya’s lips turned into a slight frown.  Okay, thought Pluto, not the worst reaction.  At least there aren't any odd hysterics over her appearance.
After a deep breath, she began evenly and with a social smile, “Hello.  I’m aware this is going to sound odd coming without any context, but I need you to put that creature down and move away quickly.  Please.”
    Kaya huffed.  “Really?”
A small sigh escaped Pluto’s lips.  “This is a complicated matter that I lack the time to explain but very much need to resolve.  Again, please, I need you to…”
“Okay, look,” interrupted Kaya, taking her finger from the kirkri in spite of its protesting squeak and holding her hand up in a stop gesture.  “I’m not going to judge the cosplay.  We like dressing up sometimes in the mystery club, too, so I get it.  But there is a line, and running around in costume at 10 at night chasing harmless critter to play out your anime battle fantasy kinda crosses it.”
Pluto’s eyebrows rose.  She crossed her arms, letting her staff rest casually against her shoulder as she observed the kirkri grow more agitated because it couldn’t pull back Kaya’s finger.  “I’m not going to argue with you because, quite frankly, we don’t have time for it.  In about 30 seconds that ‘harmless critter’ is going to start shooting off sparks.  It will then grow to more than twice your height and attempt to steal away all of your life energy, leaving you a gray, empty husk.”
Kaya’s mouth dropped open.  “You… you really need to lay off the Saturday morning cartoons.  Being part of the anime club is all well and good, but you’re a university student, for pete’s sake.  And was that a dig at my height?”  Her indignance showed as she stood a little straighter.  “I may not be an Amazon in heels, but I am by no means sh… huh, what the…”
Her words abruptly cut off as the kirkri did indeed begin to give off a small shower of golden sparks.  It screeched and its body twisted in a temper tantrum as it grabbed wildly for Kaya’s free hand.  It became even angrier as Kaya gasped and dropped it unceremoniously to the ground.  It bared its fangs, eyes bulging and chest heaving as ripples of golden static lit along its fur.  It cried out with an ungodly sound, its joints popping and bones twisting as it grew in height and breadth.
Then Pluto was in front of her, placing herself between Kaya and the creature.  Her expression had hardened and there was a determination in her garnet eyes as she took on a fighting stance.  Her staff was held in a defensive posture, as if somehow it alone would protect them from what was now a very angry 12 foot prehistoric looking monster.  Pluto’s lips began moving, but the words were too soft for Kaya to hear.
A hard gust of wind and foggy, electrified wisps surrounded them just before a burst of bright maroon shot from Pluto’s staff, landing dead center on the creature.  It howled, rattling Kaya’s bones, as it took a few stumbling steps backward.  A park bench splintered beneath its feet as it lashed out.  From its paw a golden trail like a whip appeared, whistling in the air above them and coming down in their direction.  Kaya closed her eyes and covered her head, but the hit never came.
One eye cracked open and she saw the shimmering of a purplish dome surrounding them.  On the outside, the creature raged.  She could feel the impact of its fists vibrating along the dome, but the interior was silent.
“What…” she took a deep breath to try and steady herself.  “What the hell?”
Pluto looked over her shoulder at Kaya and smirked.  “I warned you.”
Eyes still wide, Kaya retorted, “Oh come on!  You know there’s no way any sane person would have believed that!”  She cringed and ducked instinctively as a hard hit cracked the dome.  “Okay, so what do we do now?”
“We don’t do anything,” answered Pluto.  She held her staff in a firmer grip.  “When the Garnet Ball drops, run and take cover.  When you see an opportunity, get as far away from here as you can.”
“I’m not just going to leave you here,” argued Kaya.  “You can’t fight that thing by yourself.”
Pluto’s smirk softened and touched her eyes with an amused sparkle.
Kaya rolled her eyes.  “Okay, maybe you can.”
“Go, I’ll be fine,” assured Pluto.  “Now, get ready.”
Attention back on the overgrown kirkri, she gave Kaya a moment to brace herself, then let the Garnet Ball melt away.  In her periphery she saw enough movement to know Kaya had done as told, but didn’t have time to worry about it any further as a paw came down in her direction.  She dodged to miss the impact, but a swipe from the opposite paw caught her, leaving a gash across her middle.  She landed behind the kirkri and rolled to a crouch, gripping her wound with her free arm.  Sweat dripped into her eyes as she gritted her teeth.  It hurt, and she could feel the sticky warmth of blood on the front of her uniform.  With as deep a breath as she could pull in, she told herself it was largely superficial, she was fine, and to just push it down. She had a speed advantage and she couldn't lose it.
In its current state, the kirkri was slow and awkward as it tried to follow her trajectory.  She steadied her breathing and got back to her feet. Shrubbery crunched as the kirkri tried to turn in a tight circle, but before it could get more than halfway around, a Dead Scream swirled and launched in its direction.  The hit produced a long howl and a wave of electricity that stuttered like a shorted out light socket.  Pluto followed up quickly with a second blast, knocking the kirkri off its feet.  It landed hard, a small crater forming in the ground around its still form.  The golden light that had flowed over it flickered and died, its size reducing back to normal as the last of its power flitted away.
Pluto let out a long, relieved breath and leaned heavily on her staff.  Her arm went back to her middle where the burning sting was at least partially held back by the adrenaline rush.  Blood outlined the tear in her uniform, but at least it wasn’t a lethal blow and would heal quickly enough.  The bleeding had already started to slow down.  She just needed to collect the kirkri and go back to the Gate to rest for a bit.
Brush crashing under hurried steps startled her causing a grimace as she went automatically into a defensive posture.  Only momentarily, though, as she realized it was Kaya running towards her.  So much for thinking she had fled as told.
Out of breath and huffing, Kaya could barely get her words out as she stopped in front of Pluto, dropping her backpack to the ground and quickly rummaging through it.  “That… that was incredible!  But I… I saw that hit.  Just hold on a sec.  How bad?”
It took a moment for Pluto to realize what she was being asked.  She looked down at the seeping wound.  “More than a scratch, but I can handle it.  It’s nothing, really.”
“Nothing,” chuffed Kaya.  She pulled a rolled up white t-shirt from her bag and broke the rubber band around it.  Carefully, she pressed the cloth against the wound, apologizing when Pluto hissed.  “It’s not nothing.  You took a nasty swipe that you’re lucky didn’t kill you.”  She gently moved a corner of the t-shirt to better look at part of the wound.  “It doesn’t look too deep, so the internal structures are probably okay.  Must have been sharp since it’s a clean line.  At the very least, though, it needs to be cleaned and dressed.  Probably could use some stitches, but I suspect you’re too stubborn for that.”
Pluto cocked an eyebrow at her, earning a genuine smile.
“Pre med.  But only second year so I’m not going to pretend I’m anywhere near qualified to treat you.  But I do at least know basic first aid.  Initial glance says you’re pretty close to human, so I think I can handle this if you won’t let me take you to emergency.”
“I appreciate it, but it isn’t necessary.”  Pluto placed her hand over Kaya’s to still them, though she didn’t fully attempt to move the cloth away from her wound.  “It will be bothersome for a bit, but I’ll heal quickly.  By morning it won’t be more than a scratch.”
Kaya crossed her arms loosely and bit her lip.  Eyes turning down to where her hands wanted to minister, she said softly, “Look, I know you saved my life tonight.  I can’t repay that, and while infection control may not actually be a necessity for you, putting on a bandage is the least I can do to say thank you.”  Then she looked up and chuckled nervously.  “And I have ice cream in my freezer.”
Pluto found herself acquiescing to the sincerity in those stormcloud gray eyes.  Perhaps this would also give her a chance to do some damage control so she could quietly continue her mission.  “Just let me finish up with the kirkri first.”
They both turned to where the kirkri should have been only to be met with the empty, damaged ground.  Kaya’s eyes widened in surprise.  “I thought it was dead.”
Pluto frowned and shook her head.  “No, just drained and being stubborn about returning to its home.  I expected it would stay unconscious longer than that, though.”  She let her staff fade into her subspace pocket and somewhat reluctantly leaned on the shoulder Kaya offered to her.  Then she smiled.  “I guess it thought you were too good a snack to pass up on.”
“Ugh.  That is not the kind of snack I want to be,” groaned Kaya, the words out of her mouth before she could think better of them.  Her cheeks warmed to a blush pink and she ducked her eyes.  Grabbing her backpack, she quickly changed the subject.  “Do we need to worry about that thing anymore right now?”
Pluto shook her head as they slowly started walking from the park.  “It needs time to recharge.  It won’t be doing anything for awhile.”
“Okay, good.  I’m Kaya, by the way.  Ishida Kaya.”
“Sailor Pluto.  I’d say it’s a pleasure to meet you, but under the circumstances…”
“Yeah, I get it,” chuckled Kaya.  “So… not to be rude, but is that really your name?”
    Pluto's head tilted in question.
“Not that I’d question your parents’ choice in naming you that,” she rambled on, “but is that like your superhero name or your name-name.”
Pluto laughed.  “I would not describe myself as a superhero.  I am, however, the Lunar Queen’s guardian and avatar for the planet Pluto.  And my parents named me Setsuna.”
“Wow,” Kaya breathed.  She smiled widely, enthralled by the mystery beside her.  “I promise to be respectful of your privacy and all, but you know I’ve got a ton of questions that I'm going to ask.”
With an indulgent smile that she found to be surprisingly sincere, Pluto answered, “I believe I have resigned myself to it, yes.”

Part 4: Family Encounter
A few weeks to a month has passed. There has been little to no communication from Riley since their departure. Jack, being worried, pulls out all the strings to finding her - hoping that she wasn't into any danger. After going to the mechanics' warehouse after finding leads, the leader of the unknown organization finds out that Riley had come down with an illness. And so he travels to her family's house to find the answer.
Mentions morning sickness, pregnancy, and other mature themes.
A/N: This is not intended for those under the age of 18! Any minor and ageless blogs will be blocked! You’ve been warned!
After the three days were up, Jack Hunter reluctantly had to say goodbye to Riley Foxx - for now anyway. They would always cross paths with each other, but this time, however, felt bittersweet letting the mercenary go. Of course, he sent the private doctor back on the last day to check and make sure her health was good before letting his rival go back to her mercenary work. He knew that she couldn't stay with him in his estate. It was far too big and lonesome for someone that loved adventures. That, and he too, had to go back to his line of work as well. Already missing phone calls and archaeology studies that were waiting for him to discover.
Riley was hesitant to leave as well. However, she was already yearning to head back to doing more mercenary work. Being cooped up in an estate felt like a five star resort, but it was too big and fancy for her to even think of living with Jack. That, and the mercenary already felt like she had overstayed her welcome even with him treating her like she was a goddess. These past few days were magical in every way and Riley would never forget those passionate moments she had with her arch rival, now turned lover. Besides, she thought, there would be countless more adventures waiting for the both of them and they would see each other still.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye for now. I'll let you know if anything comes up, Jack." Riley started looking up at him one last time before heading to the hangar with Vulpes. Her fox organoid also not wanting to leave Wolfe, but both reluctantly had to stay with their companions in order to protect them from the cruel world around them. The mercenary waved a farewell before getting into the cockpit of her blade liger 'Amber' version. The Zoid roared as it came to life shrugging off the dust from being cooped up in the hangar. And just like that they were off.
"Thanks, and yeah. Don't forget that map I installed into your Zoid if you ever feel the need to find this place again. Goodbye for now, Riley. I'll see you someday I'm sure," Jack Hunter went back to wearing his red visor again. His harshness came back to hide his true feelings from emerging. He had no time to be sad. There were important things that the leader of the unknown organization had to do after all. Better to continue to play their parts than risk each other's safety.
At that, both he and Wolfe watched from the door to the hangar. Jack waved bye to Riley and stayed until she was out of his sight before closing the hangar door and with heavy steps and drooped shoulders went about his usual tasks at hand. Wolfe trailing beside him.
----------------------
It wasn't until a few weeks from then that the archaeologist was feeling out of place. His heart dropped, having not heard anything from Riley since her departure. Has she gone missing? Did her feelings mean nothing at all? Was she- no! Jack couldn't delve into the worst case scenarios. He had to find out if she was safe. After their last unfortunate encounter with an unknown force, the arch nemesis couldn't take anything for granted. The leader of the unknown organization quickly brought up the monitor requesting his men to search everything for a mercenary named Riley Foxx.
While his soldiers were scouting the nearby sectors, Jack went in his command wolf with his wolf organoid, Wolfe. He laid out the map of recent sightings that she usually went to for mercenary work. Perhaps one of the dealers there could tell him what had happened to Riley. It wasn't unlike her to not do mercenary work unless something urgent had come up.
At that, the command wolf stopped in front of a warehouse. The arch nemesis jumped down from his cockpit, and with Wolfe at his heels, he went in. His red visor scouting the entrance of a large hangar that was already open. Business was still going on it seems as he headed to the nearby desk with the famous dealer behind. Legs crossed on the counter while reading what looked to be a magazine.
"Excuse me. Have you happened to see anyone by the name of Riley Foxx recently?" Jack asked, trying not to let his stance falter. Surely there wasn't a reason why no one would take him seriously. After all, he was well known in these parts having gotten equipment for his own Zoids here as well as the nearby bases that his organization had taken control of.
"Ah, yes. You must be Dr. Hunter? Though most of my men know you as the famous Jack in these parts. What can I do for you?" The mechanic dealer looked up from his magazine before standing to welcome Jack into his warehouse. He'd never met the famous leader up close, but the dealer could tell that there was something urgent in his face, especially after hearing Riley's name requested from Jack's lips.
"Ah, yeah...Riley's out of commission currently. She fell ill a few days ago while doing mercenary work. I had to call her parents to come pick her up. I don't think its anything serious. Maybe a stomach bug or something, but if you need to reach her I'll give you directions to her place. It isn't far from here." The mechanic responded honestly noting that if this guy was a friend of hers then perhaps it was alright to let him know. After all, he was good friends with the mercenary and knew that anyone like Jack Hunter here was important to her in some way. Judging by the posture of the man and his wolf organoid close by it seemed that everyone was worried about her.
"Thanks, and that would be great. Normally she's good at communicating with us so I got worried after not hearing from her for a few weeks."
"A few weeks, huh? Well whatever the reason may be she'll probably tell you herself. Good luck, Doctor. Hope Riley gets well soon. We all miss her. She's the best mercenary we got, after all." The mechanic grinned rubbing the back of his head sheepishly though internally wondering if there was something more going on between these two than he had thought previously. But before the dealer could question further, Jack quickly took the directions and went off his merry way to head towards Riley's village. His heart still yearned for hope that she was okay and not in serious danger.
----------------------------
Upon finding the village, Jack Hunter chose to leave his command wolf in the forest away from public view. He didn't want any of the villagers thinking he was attacking their village. The archaeologist changed his uniform to something close to what the villagers wore so that Jack wouldn't be spotted as an uninvited guest.
It took a few minutes on foot, but eventually Riley's rival found her family's house. The sandstone building stood and the front door was the only thing separating him from finding her. However, before knocking on the door he could hear her parents arguing inside. He gulped gathering his strength before gently giving a couple firm knocks on the door. Wolfe obediently waited outside until he was given permission to enter.
"Just a second!" He could hear from the male inside before the argument ceased. Jack heard footsteps leading up to the door before hearing the doorknob move shortly after.
"Well! We weren't expecting a visitor. What's your name, pal?" Riley's adopted father looked up at the guest that he was sure to have deja vu about. Something familiar about this fellow on the tip of his tongue.
"I'm Jack, and I came personally to check on Riley. Is she around?" Jack asked in a friendly tone that felt foreign to his tongue. He had to keep his cool and remain calm. The leader of the organization had met her parents a long time ago back at the festival here in this very village.
"I see. Well you must be a special person to come all this way to see her. She's in her bedroom if you want to see her. Mind you, though, my daughter is not feeling her usual self. Let us know if you need anything while here," Her father let the visitor in looking back before closing the door shut just as Wolfe was about to come out of his hiding spot.
"Oh, what a broad handsome man we have here! I'll fix another plate for our special guest," Riley's mother looked out from the kitchen briefly, knowing full well secretly why her daughter was ill. Her eyes burned with suspicion towards Jack. If he was the culprit and didn't care for her albeit non-biological child then he was about to face a mother's rage! But that would be until she knew for certain what was going on between her daughter and this strange man, and the outcome that would follow.
"Thank you for the hospitality and food. I should only take a moment of your time," Jack lowered his head in a polite bow before going down the hall to where he was told was Riley's room.
"Riley? It's me, Jack. May I come in?" He gently knocked on her door. His ears listened intently though Jack could have sworn he heard the sound of her crying. Oh no...it must have been from that argument just before the archaeologist had arrived.
"J-Jack? I- I mean y-yes...you can come in." Riley tried to compose herself, reaching over to grab a tissue to dab her teary eyes. Her body shook still feeling weak, but she tried her best to remain calm for her visitor. She should have known that he would come to find her when the mercenary herself didn't do her part to communicate properly.
"Alright, I'm coming in." Jack quietly opened the door before standing there seeing Riley pale and not at all like herself. Her hair had been disheveled and her face red from crying just earlier.
"H-hey..I'm here now, Riley. It's going to be okay," He quickly closed the door silently behind him before heading over to comfort his rival. His heart nearly broke seeing her so vulnerable but not the same as when they had made passionate love those past few days some weeks back.
"I...I didn't mean to not contact you, Jack. I wanted to tell you, I did. But...I got sick a few days ago and was sent home. I..." Riley couldn't help but sob. Her chest felt tight, feeling scared and tired. That argument with her parents earlier didn't help either. It only worsened her worst fears.
"What do you mean? We don't have to stay in touch all the time, but I got worried after not hearing from you. I want to help, Riley. Let me understand, please." Jack knelt in front of her reaching up to caress her face with both hands. "I love you, Riley. Whatever it is, I'll be here by your side always."
Riley nearly froze at the contact though she felt a little better hearing Jack say those words. It comforted her knowing that despite having not contacted him in awhile that he was still there for her even when things turned sour.
"I love you too, Jack. But...I don't know where to even begin. Do you remember those three days that you let me spend with you at your estate? Well...we should have talked before rushing into things..." Riley tried to smile softly before patting the spot on the bed beside her. "You probably should sit before I tell you too..."
Jack nodded though he was a bit confused as to why Riley would bring this up, and as to why he had to sit down for whatever it was that she wanted to tell him so badly about.
"I don't think I follow? I remember those passionate moments with you and even just being together while you had healed from your head injury. What does this have to do about it?" He asked softly not wanting to frighten her, but also wanting to understand where she was taking this. Did their passionate sex and romance those few days meant nothing? Surely not, right?
"Jack..." Riley shook her head before taking his hand to gently rest on her slightly swollen stomach.
"I'm pregnant, Jack. With our child," She looked down feeling more tears fall from her cheek. The mercenary didn't want to see him be upset or angry. It was her fault for not telling him in the first place.
"P-pregnant..? With our c-child?" Jack's eyes widened as he finally caught on to what Riley was going on about. It was true that they didn't plan for this to happen. But...was this really why she didn't want to talk to him in three weeks? That she had fallen ill a few days ago were actually early symptoms of her pregnancy. Morning sickness more than likely he thought as everything lined up.
"Yes...oh Jack...I feel stupid now telling you this. It's too late," Riley trembled as tears streamed down her cheeks.
Just then she felt Jack's calloused hand gently caress her cheek slowly turning her head up to face him.
"You aren't stupid...we're both responsible for this. And if you are pregnant with our child then there's no choice now but to move forward and raise them right. I know we didn't talk about it, but I'm here now, Riley. I love you, and I'll be with you no matter what happens."
Jack gently held her, letting Riley cry freely though it wasn't a sad sob anymore. The mercenary was relieved to hear that he wasn't going to run away or leave her.
It made her heart swell that her rival, now lover, truly cared about her even through the unexpected pregnancy discussion they've just had. She knew he would come for her and Jack did in every way.
However, what would they say to her parents..?
Would they allow Jack into the family or push him away...?
-----------------------
"That's Jack Hunter, isn't it? Conrad's son if I'm mistaken?" Riley's mother whispered to her husband in the kitchen.
She knew that face anywhere, even without that red visor or eye patch trying to conceal his scarred face with that blind eye. The attire he wore was also outdated too from back when the festivals in the village were thriving and full of celebration.
"Yes, I take it that's him. What a small world, huh. Our daughter ending up with that man is...well I don't want to suspect anything without proof. We'll have to be on our guard while he's here and listen to them both. Hopefully we'll find out what's made Riley so sick these past few days..."
"I'm telling you, she's pregnant! Riley has all the early stage signs of pregnancy, dear. If they were together and had an affair that would mean that her child will be the next heir to that organization his father ruled. I don't want her involved in that...or the baby either. I hope Jack has changed and isn't like that of his father...his mother was a kind soul, and I'm hoping he got most of that from her..."
"Well, either way we'll have to accept the consequences. Besides, he doesn't seem that threatening. I checked to see if any soldiers were around and there's none in sight. Not even a sight. Just him. Jack probably came here because he was worried about her, dear. Let's hope that they both can accept their responsibilities as parents. Gosh that's weird to say now..."
Riley's mother nodded with a slight grimace before hearing a pair of footsteps coming their way.
Both on their guard but also trying to act casual in the kitchen. Dinner was just about done now.
"Mom? Dad? Everything alright in there?" Riley asked as she walked with Jack after explaining and freshening up in the room. She put her best foot forward hoping that her morning sickness wouldn't ruin their dinner together at the family table.
"We're over here in the kitchen, pumpkin! Dinner is just about ready to serve," Came her mother's voice as Riley's father was busy setting the table in their dining room.
Both Jack and Riley sighed in relief acting natural as if they were on a date together. Jack pulled the chair for her like a gentleman while smiling politely to Riley's adopted father. Tension slowly died down though still there from both sides of the table as her mother came in announcing that the food was ready to serve.
"Help yourselves, dears. There is plenty to go around," She mused seeing that her daughter and their visitor looked to be doing well. No tears coming from Riley thank goodness nor an angry Jack. Maybe they did work and talked things out.
That could explain the reason as to why neither showed remorse or sorrow. Riley's mother was thankful for not having to explain pregnancy to them both during dinner. She didn’t want her precious daughter to be even more ill than she already was with having to feed not only herself but the growing fetus inside of her. However, her motherly vibes told her to ask anyways.
“So…how are things with you and our daughter, Jack? Riley was just talking to us about how you rescued her from a dangerous fall. My husband and I were relieved to hear that she wasn’t in worse off shape seeing as how you cushioned her fall and brought her to see a doctor…”
Riley’s father was actually the one that asked this time around. He knew that his wife was more bite than bark and would rather be careful around Conrad’s son. There was no telling what tricks were up his sleeves, if any at all.
“Things are resolved for now.” Jack looked over to Riley while they ate, seeing her try to stomach the plate of food before her. He did his best to explain the situation from his point of view so as to not try and make her parents worry too much in the process. They need not know about who the unknown culprits were that had caused their injuries. It would have been far worse had they not escaped from that place alive. That and the help of their four-legged organoids that came quickly to their rescue.
“I see. Are you aware that Vulpes is feeling unwell?” Her mother asked this time, noting Riley was making a cough to excuse herself to the restroom for a moment.
“No, I didn’t know about that. What do you mean by unwell?” His eyebrows rose, feeling tension in the room soon after Riley had left to excuse herself.
“Well, from what Riley mentioned…Vulpes and your wolf organoid…Wolfe, I believe for his name…had done a mating ritual of sorts? You do realize that our ancestors never really talked about how an organoid is actually conceived. But we do have theories…one of which is that when their partner copulates or has strong feelings for another that they too will conceive. Often the offspring of the organoid will be bonded with the child of their companion. It can be difficult to say what will happen, but if we now know that Riley is pregnant then that means that Vulpes is likely to be as well…”
*Crap…they know about Wolfe…and the fact that both Riley and Vulpes are pregnant…* Jack sighed heavily rubbing his temples.
“So let me get this straight…not only is Riley pregnant, but also Vulpes? I’ve researched about organoids and haven’t had a clue to this point that both our child and the organoids’ offspring will be bonded. That’s…a lot to take into. I…” Shoulders tense, Jack having his head on his hands that were crossed in thought. “I don’t want to upset Riley nor Vulpes. I care deeply about them both. You two understand more than anything about parenthood and being half zoidians yourselves…what can I do to keep them both safe and unharmed? I’m afraid that people worse than my father will come after Riley and Vulpes. I want to protect them, and that includes making sure both her and Vulpes are comfortable too. Not only during pregnancy, but through their births and growing up as well. Please…you must know more than what you are telling me, right…?”
Jack looked up then to see Riley’s parents looking to each other worried before the mother went out of the kitchen to check on Riley. Leaving the father to speak to his rival’s son.
“Jack…this is not going to be an easy thing. Parenting is already a heavy burden to bear whether planned or not. And with an added addition to boost I can’t really say for sure what will happen. But- I know you both will overcome this. I see the look in your eye. You love her, Jack. As long as you can come up with a safe place for her and Vulpes to live for the time being, and even after they have given birth to their young…you’ll overcome anything. But you must promise me that there won’t be any secrets or that trust will be broken. I know you don’t want to tell Riley about what your father did, and now isn’t the time to of course, but I want you to tell her the truth when the time comes. And protect her at all costs. She’s our only daughter that we’ve raised with love and care. I can’t imagine her place right now and what she’s feeling. Vulpes too as the organoid has been her protector since she was an infant…”
Jack nodded knowing that he probably should, especially after Riley had confessed about her pregnancy. That wasn’t an easy discussion nor is going through one with her companion as well.
“I’ll tell her when the time comes, I promise.” Was all that the young man could say.
Riley’s father smiled with an understanding nod before getting up to put his hand on his daughter’s boyfriend. “Good. I trust you. Now then, let’s clean up the table and check on the girls. We’ll need to come up with a plan for all four of you and discuss what little we know about the bond between an organoid and their partner during this phase. It’s important that we keep this on a low profile so I want you to take Riley and Vulpes with you (and Wolfe). Keep them both safe and out of public view. Least until the younglings have grown enough to defend themselves…”
—------------------------
That night, after everyone had talked in depth and shared no secrets, the newly announced parents and their organoid partners left the village while everyone was asleep. Jack carried Riley bridle style since she was still feeling unwell from vomiting her dinner. Wolfe gently nuzzles Vulpes every now and then to keep moving forward until they get back safely into the command wolf’s cockpit. The blade liger unfortunately had to be left behind, for now, until they could come back and get it without disturbing the village.
“Mmm, Jack…what are we going to do about my blade liger? I can’t just leave it there.” Riley spoke softly as they traveled back to the owner’s estate.
“We’ll leave it there until morning. I’ll have the maintenance dealer pick it up. If anyone asks he’ll tell them that they are repairing or making improvements on it. Then once in the hangar I’ll ask one of my men to go get it for us and leave it in my zoids hangar under my protection.”
“Will that work though? That’s a bit risky even for a leader like yourself, Jack.” Riley worried about his safety now that both her and Vulpes were vulnerable.
“It’s the best plan I could think of. Besides, I doubt no one would suspect anything. Least for now anyways until we can make a cover story for you since you’ll be out of commission for awhile until our child is old enough for you to go back to your mercenary work.”
“I see, and you really do think ahead of the game. I probably won’t be able to go on adventures but I can count on you to protect us.” Riley smiled up at him before stifling back a yawn.
“Get some sleep, love. We’re almost to the zoids hangar and then you and Vulpes can get some well deserved rest.” He leaned over to kiss her sweetly on the forehead letting his hand intertwine with hers that was resting on the swole of her stomach. They’d have to get plenty of sleep while they could during the next eight to nine months…he didn’t know the gestation period of organoids, but Jack knew that it would probably be just as long if not the same. Only time would tell whether or not they were ready for what parenthood had in store for them.

Note: after a whole year, it’s finally here! Here’s another story set in the world of Just Out of Touch! This story can be read as a standalone, but reading JOOT might give you a bit more context. But if you haven’t read it, spoiler for JOOT, Hecate is (y/n)’s vigilante persona. (Y/n)’s pronouns are she/they, where they is specifically used when they’re out as Hecate. Since this story focuses on (y/n) and not Hecate, I used she/her throughout the story. In future stories both she and they will be used when there are both (y/n) and Hecate. Without further ado, enjoy the story!

1: Compliment
——————————
(Y/n) side-glanced at Peter who was pacing back and forth in her room. She let him mumble and curse at himself while she laid on her bed, bored.
"Oh I'm so stupid! How could I have done that?! Ugh, she must hate me now!"
She rolled her eyes. "You're not stupid, Pete. You're in STEM school by scholarship for a reason, you know."
Peter stopped his pacing to look at (y/n) with his big doe eyes and panicked expression. "That's got nothing to do with this!" He exclaimed.
Rolling her eyes again, she asked, "What did you do again?"
He groaned and banged his head on her bed, mumbling something.
"What?"
"I complimented her skirt."
If she had to roll her eyes again, her eyeballs would probably be stuck that way.
"What's so bad about that?" She asked.
Peter didn't even lift his head from the soft duvet. "I sounded like a pervert, (y/n)!" He groaned. "She totally knew I've been checking her out the entire year!"
(Y/n) shook her head exasperatedly. "You couldn't have known that. You just complimented one piece of clothing, Peter. She wouldn't know you've been staring at her clothes every day."
Peter only let out another groan and turned over, pulling the duvet to cover his face. "No, she definitely knows!"
"What did you say, exactly?"
"I said the color suits her and asked if it's new…"
"…So?"
He removed the duvet and stared incredulously at her. "What do you mean, so?"
(Y/n) shrugged. "I don't see what's so bad about that. I mean, it's flattering?"
"Oh, you don't get it!" Peter threw his head back. "I asked if it's new! Meaning that I already know her clothes and noticed that I've never seen that skirt before!"
"Now that you said it like that, you do sound like a pervert."
"UGH!"
Chuckling, (y/n) lifted the duvet and removed it from Peter, eyes glowing soft blue. "Calm down, Spidey. What did she say?"
"I don't know. I ran away afterwards."
Her chuckle turned into a full-on laugh as Peter turned away with a pout, hoping to hide his flaming face.
In between her laugh, she shuffled closer to the boy and ran her fingers gently between his hair. "Well, if it was me, I wouldn't think much about it. I would just be flattered that you think a skirt looks good on me."
Still pouting, Peter mumbled, "But it's not you."
Her laughter ceased, replaced with a slightly sorrowful smile.
"But it's not me." She agreed.

2: Jokes
——————————
"What's taking him so long?" Happy grumbled.
"It's only been 10 minutes."
"10 minutes too long!"
(Y/n) only hummed and looked out the window. “It’s high school, Happy. It’s where he socializes with his friends, of course it’s going to take time.”
“Not if I can help it.” He muttered.
Shaking her head fondly, her eyes swept through the entrance of Midtown High, trying to see if the young vigilante was anywhere near them. Today was a scheduled lab day and she volunteered to pick him up with Happy. Since she already finished any lessons she had for the day Tony had let her go.
As she kept watch, she couldn’t help but feel a little bittersweet. Sure, she enjoyed her studies online, but she knew that she was missing that typical high school experience. Going to classes, eating lunch in the cafeteria, walking home with friends… But she was also aware that it was all for her safety.
The woes of having a famous father.
(Y/n) was shaken off her thoughts when she finally noticed Ned among the students in front of the school. If Ned was there, then Peter was surely not far.
Sure enough, she could spot a familiar tuft of brown hair right behind Ned.
And apparently he wasn’t alone.
Peter was talking with a girl facing his way. (Y/n) couldn’t see her face but she had a good idea of who she was.
Peter had a shy smile on his lips and his cheeks were nearly blossoming, if (y/n) could say so. In true Peter fashion, he seemed to be stumbling upon his words and spoke a mile per minute. The girl seems as though she didn’t mind as she was laughing along. And yet, unlike the oblivious Peter she was used to, this Peter looked at the girl as if she was a goddess sent to the earth to absolve every sinner from their fated doom. This Peter smiled at her as if she handpicked each star to light up the darkest night.
His darkest night.
(Y/n) unconsciously took a sharp breath when she saw the girl laughing so hard she had to hold onto Peter to stabilize herself. The way she clutched Peter’s arm and the color on Peter’s cheeks…
“There he is! Call him, tell him to hurry up.”
“Just… Just give him a minute, will you, Happy?” She mumbled, eyes never leaving Peter. She was unaware of Happy glancing at her with a frown on his forehead. Like her, he did notice that Peter had a girl with him. He just hadn’t yet connected it to why (y/n) looked off.
As (y/n) sat there looking at the window, the tight feeling in her chest kept getting more painful as time went. On one hand, she would love to get out of the car and go to him, replacing the girl’s position beside Peter. But on the other hand, she knew that things didn’t work that way.
‘He’s happy, that’s all that matters, right?’
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t notice Peter already saying his goodbyes and approaching the car. It was only when Peter sat beside her that she was shaken off her trails.
“Hey, you good?” He asked.
(Y/n) smiled, a hint of sorrow that Peter didn’t notice on her lips.
“Of course, why wouldn’t I be?”
——————————
3: Flirt
——————————
The silence was quite awkward, if (y/n) must say.
Tony was out on a conference of some sort in Japan, and as much as (y/n) would love to visit the country, her father couldn’t literally pay her to sit through that conference with him. While she would inherit the company one day, she’d avoid any stuffy meetings if she could.
That day was another scheduled lab day for Peter, though. Tony had forgotten to tell him to reschedule, so he still went to the tower. Peter was going to leave until (y/n) called Tony and he told Peter to just mess around in the lab.
And there they were. In Tony Stark’s personal lab. Just the two of them (along with Dum-E).
(Y/n) could tell something was off with Peter. The first sign was when he said he would go home when he heard Tony wasn’t there. Usually he’d just stay and watch a movie with her. And now he was all quiet while fiddling with his webshooters.
Of course, one could say that perhaps he was focused on fixing or upgrading it, but (y/n) knew that there was nothing wrong with his webshooters and they already installed the upgrade a couple weeks ago. They hadn’t come up with new ideas since then.
“Hey, Pete?”
“Hm?” He didn’t even look up.
“Is there anything in your mind?”
“Huh? No, nothing.” Peter mumbled, still fiddling with his webshooters.
(Y/n) frowned. Something was not right, indeed.
A few minutes passed with silence between them. (Y/n) kept sneaking glances at Peter and Peter kept toying around with the shooters on his wrist. He wasn’t even doing anything. His eyes were unfocused and he was deep in thoughts.
Heaving a sigh, (y/n) removed the goggles she had on. She was doing a project for SI, but it could wait.
“Okay, let’s talk about this,” she said.
Peter finally looked up and stared at her, confused. “Talk about what?”
“Well, this,” she said again, gesturing at Peter.
“...you’re gesturing at all of me.”
“Of course I’m gesturing at all of you! You’re acting weird!”
“No I’m not.”
“Yes you are! You’re so quiet and you kept playing with your webshooters! Is there something wrong with them or what? You look like you’re thinking so hard and we both know you’re smart enough to not have to think that hard about your shooters!”
Peter didn’t say anything for a while as he stared at (y/n), eyes slightly furrowed.
“Well?” (Y/n) prompted. “You know you can talk to me about anything, right?”
Peter sighed and bit his lip. He looked up, as if pondering whether or not he should tell (y/n) about what was on his mind.
“It’s, uh, it’s about Liz.”
(Y/n) heart dropped.
“W-What about her?” She asked, feigning ignorance.
The frown made another appearance on Peter’s forehead. His fingers returned to the webshooter strapped on his wrist and started fiddling again. It was then that (y/n) noticed that this was his way of fidgeting. He used to fiddle with his fingers and then it was with his shooters.
“Well, I saw her today…”
“...and?”
“She, um…” Peter swallowed. “She was, uh, flirting, I think? With Flash.”
By some miracle, instead of feeling that tightness in her chest from the mention of her, she felt truly confused. “Flash? The same Flash that picks on you and doesn't believe in your internship?”
“Uh, yeah…?”
“Why would she? Doesn’t she know what kind of person he is?”
Peter laughed dryly. “He’s rich, (y/n).”
“And so am I, what about it?” (Y/n) raised an eyebrow. “I’m not as obnoxious as that guy, am I?”
“Of course not. You may be getting a big head, though.” He teased with a grin.
(Y/n) only swatted at his arm.
(It took every single will in her not to make a dirty joke then and there, telling herself it wasn’t appropriate for the topic.)
“Anyway! Why did you think she was flirting with him?” (Y/n) asked, ignoring the tight feeling that finally arrived despite the miracle earlier.
“Remember last week? When you picked me up with Happy?”
(Y/n) nodded. ‘How could I not?’ She thought bitterly.
“I don’t know if you saw, but uhh we were flirting, I think?”
“You think?”
“Well, Ned said we were…” Peter mumbled. “We were joking around and she kinda laughed so hard she had to hold onto me…” He recounted, a blush starting to make its way on his cheeks.
(Y/n) took a deep breath to try and calm her erratic heart. Her heart felt like it was sinking with each word coming out of Peter’s mouth. Had she not been a strong-willed young woman with experience in keeping her face neutral, she was 100% sure her eyes would be all watery by now. Not that she didn’t feel the burn on her eyes as she pretended not to hear Peter whispering ‘her hand was so soft’.
“And was she doing the same with Flash?” She asked, and again, by miracle, her voice didn’t crack.
Peter’s hand fell from his wrist and he nodded dejectedly.
“I thought she liked me, you know?” He muttered. Unlike her, Peter was an open book. He was never good at hiding his expression that it was a wonder that his secret identity was still intact. (Y/n) could clearly hear the pain in his voice.
It honestly infuriated her how easy it was for him to affect her.
(Y/n) cleared her throat. “Don’t take it to heart, Pete. Maybe she was just being friendly with him.”
“Or maybe she was just being friendly with me.” Peter mumbled, still dejected.
It filled her heart with grief that he could make such a pained expression in front of her. Had it been her, she could say with certainty that she would never let this boy in front of her go without a smile. But then again, who was she to do that? It wasn’t her that he wanted to put that smile on him.
And so, with a heavy heart and a smile hiding sorrow behind it, she told him, “Why don’t you ask her to do something with you? Like a date?”
——————————
4: Date
——————————
“(Y/n)? Where’s Peter?” Pepper immediately asked when she saw (y/n) lounging alone on the couch.
(Y/n) shrugged half-heartedly, shoving a spoonful of her favorite cookies and cream ice cream to her mouth. An older season of CSI: Miami was playing on the screen in front of her. She kept eating her ice cream unbothered as the screen showed a bloody corpse full of maggots. Oh, apparently it wasn’t a corpse and she was still alive. Who would’ve thought?
“Don’t you guys usually spend Sundays together?” Pepper asked again.
(Y/n) mumbled something that Pepper couldn’t hear.
“Sorry, what?”
“He has a date.”
Pepper blinked once. “A date?”
(Y/n) nodded.
“With… who?”
“...a girl from his school. An upperclassman.”
“Huh… Is that so?” Pepper hummed, taking a seat beside the young Stark.
She glanced at the angsty teen, still enjoying her ice cream accompanied by a pool of blood and maggot and David Caruso on the screen. “How are you feeling?”
“What do you mean? I’m totally fine.” (Y/n) answered through a mouthful of sugary dairy.
“I don’t think so, honey.” Pepper smiled at her, taking the tub away.
(Y/n) didn’t bother to answer, stubbornly keeping her eyes on the screen.
“I always thought both of you would end up together. What happened?” Pepper tried to ask.
“Us ending up together, huh?” (Y/n) chuckled dryly. “Not a chance, Pep.”
“Why do you say that?”
(Y/n) turned to the CEO of the company that one day would be hers. “Have you looked at Peter? Really looked at him?” She asked. “Because if you have, then you’d know that his eyes were never on me. Not once.”
Sighing, she reached to take back the tub of ice cream from Pepper. “A friend is all I am to him.” She muttered.
(Y/n) was perfectly fine with returning to her angsty mood accompanied by ice cream and crime lab, but apparently Pepper was not.
Pepper stood up and asked FRIDAY to turn the screen off.
“Aw, Pep! Why did you do that!” (Y/n) whined, not unlike a child getting her toy taken away.
“No wallowing in self pity, young lady. Now up you go! We’re going out.”
She groaned and plopped her face on the couch.
To say she would regret going out would be an understatement.
Because an hour on her outing with Pepper, she actually saw Peter on his date.
He was wearing a shirt and grey sweater, like how he wore to school, though the collar was neat. He definitely combed and gelled his hair. She didn’t like it, to be honest. (Y/n) always loved his curls that would fall to his eyes when it got a bit too long. She loved the soft unruly strands that felt silky when she ran her fingers through them.
Peter and his date, Liz, were in a cafe together. It was a cute and aesthetically pleasing one too. (Y/n) was in the Italian restaurant right across the street. Pepper sat with her back to the glass window, so she couldn’t see them, but it was as clear as the sky for (y/n).
And (y/n) wanted to look away, she really did. Yet for some reason, she just couldn’t stop staring at the happy couple. She watched as Liz reached a hand out to wipe something off the corner of Peter’s lips. She watched as Peter laughed shyly. She watched as he hesitantly tried to hold Liz’s hand on the table. She watched as Liz grinned and took his hand in hers.
She watched as they smiled at each other like they were the only people in the world and she was nothing but a speck of dust.
She watched, with bitter heart and a sorrowful smile as she told herself, as long as he’s happy, right?
——————————
5: Broken Heart
——————————
How could this have happened?
They were having such a great time together!
So why...?
“Peter, I’m so sorry…”
“It’s not your fault, why are you sorry?”
“I was the one who pushed you to ask her on a date…”
Peter chuckled. He tried to look unbothered, but he was still so easy to read. (Y/n) could basically hear the pieces of his broken heart rattling around as he moved.
It hurt her more than seeing him with her.
“Well, you couldn’t have known everything, (y/n),” Peter said. “Besides, at least I tried, you know?”
(Y/n) bit her lip.
Logically, she should be happy, shouldn’t she? Liz had told Peter that she wanted to remain friends, that she couldn’t be with him. That meant Peter was free for the whole world. Whether or not she had a chance was something else entirely. And yet, she felt extremely guilty.
“I’m okay, really!” Peter grinned with a fake cheerfulness. “I had a great time and I appreciate her telling me the truth instead of leading me on. I’m sure we’ll remain great friends even after this.”
‘But you were never great friends with her…’
“I guess she’s just trying to focus on her studies, you know? Since she’s a senior and all.”
‘But she did lead you on…’
“And you know what they say, there are plenty more fish in the sea!”
‘But you were so fixated on her…’
Peter’s eyes softened when he realized how quiet (y/n) was. “I’m really alright, (y/n). It’s not your fault at all.”
“Besides,” he grinned, this time genuine, “Maybe now it’s my turn to help you find someone! Your help was greatly appreciated and now I can return the favor!”
(Y/n) refrained from smiling sardonically at the irony. The only way he could help her find someone was if he magically fell in love with her, but she knew better than to be wishful like that.
“Thank you, Pete, but that won’t be necessary.”
“Whaaaaat why? I can give great love advice!”
“Yeah? Like what?” She raised an eyebrow.
“Uhh…”
“Exactly.”
“Anyway! When you find someone, tell me, okay? I’ll try my best to help you, since you were so helpful to me.”
Helpful, huh?
Why can’t you see it?
How badly I want to say those words?
Instead, (Y/n) smiled, sorrow seeping into her being. “It was my pleasure.”

arachnophobia: wanna go out tonight? hecate hasnt been out for a while

ironlady: harley’s coming
arachnophobia: harley? the one whose garage mr stark broke into?
ironlady: yep!! cant wait to see him
ironady: its been a while
arachnophobia: can i meet him?
ironlady: ofc just come here
The moment Peter stepped out from the elevator, he could hear the laughter already. He didn’t need his enhanced hearing to know that (y/n) was positively joyful.
He followed the sound to the penthouse’s living room where he could see (y/n) sitting on the couch. Beside her was a young man his age with sandy blonde hair. Both of them were talking animatedly with each other.
“Hey.”
“Oh, Peter!” (Y/n) turned around, a big grin on her face. “This is Harley Keener, the potato boy dad and I told you about!”
“Potato boy?” Harley frowned.
“It’s either that or problem child 1, which one do you prefer?”
“Tony’s been calling me that?”
“Yep!”
“And what are you?”
“Problem child 2, duh.” (Y/n) rolled her eyes.
Harley scoffed. “Yeah, right, il mio tarassaco.”
“Hey! Only dad can call me that!”
“I know, I know, don’t get your panties in a twist, Princess Stark.” Harley laughed as he ruffled (y/n)’s hair, much to her chagrin.
Peter couldn’t get one word out. He watched as (y/n) tried to get back at Harley and mess with his hair as Harley dodged her. He watched as (y/n)’s face was overtaken by a huge grin and her eyes lighted up in joy.
“Harley stop it!”
“You started it!”
“No I didn’t!”
“Yes you did!”
“No I didn’t!”
“Yes you did!”
“No I- you know what, I’m not doing this. You haven’t even greeted Peter!” (Y/n) huffed, gesturing at Peter who was still standing still behind the sofa.
“Oh, yeah, my bad,” Harley said. He stood up and dusted his pants, then reached out a hand.
“Harley Keener, at your service,” he grinned.
Peter took his hand hesitantly. “Peter Parker. Nice to meet you.”
(Y/n) beamed at the two of them. “I’ve told him so much about you. I think you guys will be great friends!” She told Peter. “Dad is talking about making Harley his intern too, so you two will be Stark Industries first and only high school interns. Tony Stark’s personal interns, to be exact.”
“Wait, intern?” Peter asked, clearly taken aback. “But don’t you live in Tennessee?”
Harley shrugged. “I’m moving here around next month. Not a lot of opportunities back home, so Tony offered to house and send me to school here. I’m here today to look around before the big day.”
“It’s a shame I can’t go to school with you, though.” (Y/n) complained. “I’m getting bored of this whole homeschooling thing.”
“What can I say, Princess Stark,” Harley said with a teasing smile, “a Princess must remain at her castle.”
“Yeah, well, this Princess can take care of herself and goes out at night alone, what about it?” She rolled her eyes.
“Alright, alright, you got a point, Hecate.”
“I told you, I’m not Hecate right now!”
“He knows about Hecate?” Peter asked.
(Y/n) nodded. “He was the first one to know, even before dad. I told you of how Harley’s been coming here for years, right? He basically knows more about me than dad at this point.”
“That, I do.” Harley said, staring at Peter a little too long. Something dawned on him when he saw something on Peter’s face.
He turned to (y/n) and slung an arm around her shoulders. “Anyway, I gotta run and find Tony now, got things to ask him. I’ll see you later?”
“Yeah, you know where to find me.”
“Great! See ya later, Princess Stark.” Harley dropped a big kiss on her head and left the room, but not before giving Peter a meaningful look.
Peter was frozen on his spot.
In all his time knowing (y/n), not once did he ever see (y/n) that happy. She looked so carefree, as if she trusted Harley blindly and trusted him to keep her that way. It took him some time to get (y/n) to open up to him. He knew that he couldn’t compare himself to Harley who knew (y/n) longer than him, but for some reason it ticked him off.
But why?
And when Harley held (y/n) close to him like that? It felt wrong to Peter. Then he went and actually kissed her! Well, on the head, but still. Something felt off within Peter and he didn’t really know what or why.
Somehow, it was almost like…
Like it should’ve been him?
“Peter, are you okay?”
Peter was startled from his thoughts when (y/n)’s face suddenly entered his peripherals.
“I’m fine, why do you ask?” He quickly said.
(Y/n) hummed. “You look a bit off, that’s all.”
“It’s nothing, I promise.”
“If you say so…”
“So, uh,” Peter started, “that Harley… How long is he staying?”
“A week, I think. He’ll move in next month, on the 15th.” (Y/n) answered. “I can’t wait for next month, honestly. I missed him so much. Him living with me and dad here would be a blast.”
“When do you want to go out?” Peter asked, changing the subject immediately. Somehow, for some reason, he didn’t want to hear (y/n) talk about Harley anymore. Especially not about how he would be living with her.
“Ah, well… Not this week? Maybe after Harley’s back to Tennessee?”
“...oh.”
“You can still go out without me though! I know Spider-Man must be anxious to get out there!”
“...yeah, you’re right. Uh, you know what, I actually forgot I had to run an errand for May, so I’m going to leave now, okay?”
Peter quickly rushed out. The penthouse was getting stuffy for no reason and he couldn’t stand being there anymore.
What is wrong with me?

DTVAU - Battleworld (Luz's Story, Part 1)
Well this idea went over like a fart in church, but I do things because I want to not for followers or likes or whatever. So I'll be writing up the stories for each of the characters. Hopefully it'll spark some idea on how to do the ending. Still going with the format of the original game so I'll be cutting the boss fight bits. I'll probably just put like "[INSERT BOSS FIGHT HERE]" or something like that. It might go over like it fart in church, but it's mine. Wait.
So here's Luz's Battleworld Story: "Don't You Remember?"
Three girls walked down the path. It would look like any other city from a distance, but it was empty. No people. No traffic. Not even litter which was the oddest part. Yet the three girls continued on.
"Does any of this look familiar to anyone?" asked Anne. The girl with leaves in her hair led the group down the road.
"Nope," said Star, skipping along with her magic wand in hand. "Not even a bit."
"Kinda looks like New York, maybe," said Luz. "The Goddess of Harmony did say that Battleworld was made from different parts of our original worlds. Maybe one of us is from New York."
"Not me," said Anne. "I'm from LA."
"Mewni," added Star. "Although I have been to Earth...I think."
"Man, this is nuts. It's like, we can only remember some stuff but not others," Anne whined.
"It's no biggie," said Star. "All we gotta do is beat the bad guys, save the multiverse from The God of Chaos, and we'll all go back home easy peasy."
"You said that like it's no big deal," said Anne.
"Hey, think of it like some cool crossover event. Like The Avengers or Super Smash Brothers or something," Luz said. "We valiant heroes brought together as the universe's last hope against the forces of darkness bound by nothing but hope, determination and friendship."
Star cheered and applauded Luz's words while Anne laughed.
"Makes us sound epic when you put it like that," Anne said.
"Exactly!" Luz said.
The trio's pep talk ended as the sounds of mechanical rattling came closer. The girls turned to see ahead of them what looked like copies of themselves made of some kind of crystal with dead, blank expressions. The copies had a slight glow were each a different bright color.
"Whoa!" Star screamed. "What the heck are those things?"
"The bad guys?" Luz questioned.
"Just chill, guys," Anne said. "We can handle them. Right?"
"I'm not good under pressure!" Luz screamed.
[MANIKIN MINI-BOSS FIGHT]
The girls watched their opponents fall to the ground and break into small pieces.
"Yeah, take that you fakes," Star cheered. "See? Just like a suitcase, totally handled. Right, girls?"
Her companions, however, did not feel the same. Anne wiped to sweat off her brow trying to catch her breath. Luz leaned against a nearby building for support.
"Shut up, Star," Anne said between breaths.
"What were those things anyway? They kinda looked like us," Luz questioned.
A voice echoed through the air as if to come from nowhere yet everywhere.
"They're called manikins."
The girls stood back at attention when a tall man in a white robe and gold mask appeared before them.
"Emperor Belos," Luz called out.
"They appear as a byproduct of Battleworld. After all, what is a game without obstacles?" said Belos.
"Take this," Star leapt up in the air to attack Belos.
"Star, no!" Luz warned, but it was too late. In the blink of an eye, Belos disappeared, teleporting out of the way causing Star to fall to the ground.
"Impetuous child," Belos sneered. "Did you behave like this back in your original world? It's a wonder your parents didn't send you away."
"Shut up," yelled Star. "Cupcake blast!"
Again Belos teleported out of harms way.
"You don't know, do you?" Belos asked. "You don't remember. When the gods transported us to Battleworld, they took our memories to make sure we focused on our task. But I remember."
"What? But how?" Luz asked.
"You're lying," cried Anne.
"It's no lie. I remember," Belos said. "I was an ruler and a conqueror. It is my connection to the Titan that allows me to retain my memories. And I can help you regain your memories too. For a price."
"No deal, creep," Anne and Star both charged at Belos from opposite sides, only for him to disappear again.
"The offer still stands," Belos' voice echoed around them. "If you want it."
Anne and Star searched around, making sure that Belos was indeed gone, but Luz kept her eyes out towards the distance.
"My memories..."

This is not a request just a question: Have you ever thought of doing art on the Disney version of hades & persephone? I know in the hercules show they never had her show up (and from what I read they were going to change her to being hades & demeter's daughter, and they were in a custody battle). I guess they had a hard time trying to work her in. Though I'm sure you could've made the story of the two work, evil guys & sweet gals is something you're good at writing.
I have not, I don't think I've ever drawn Hercules fanart. Maybe a few sketches attempting Meg back in early high school. Why make Persephone his daughter. There are multiple Greek characters argued to be his offspring, they could've gone with any of them. Though Hades wished to marry one of the incest children of his incestuously conceived brother, because triple incest is even cooler, I wouldn't deviate too much from Persephone's initial role as his love interest. I think their monogamous relationship, especially in contrast with how that whore Zeus lived his life, is the one element that drives people to put the two names together in the first place. But well, daughter or wife, scrapping Persephone was for the best. Hercules is about Hercules, not Hades and his family life. Anyway, you're probably not even asking me how I'd make it work in the original movie, rather as a stand-alone story. Not that you explicitly asked anything at all. I'd cut Persephone off from Zeus and his sister wife, and make her a mortal woman, one described to be flawless and pure of heart and mind. The kind of person any god would love to have as a sacrifice. Having that said, her soul is unknowingly sold to Hades by her father to save his deathly ill wife. While minding her own business, she's suddenly dragged into the underworld and told the news. Having learned from Meg, Hades no longer sees the benefit of keeping feeble, grieving humans around as servants and contemplates kicking her down the soul pit right away, but the differences between Persephone and Meg are quickly picked up on. Unlike Meg, Persephone hasn't given him one resentful look, and her silent defeatist mentality has him take pity on the foo'. And she's hypotizingly beautiful, that helps, why not. Anyway, Hades "cheers her up" by letting her be his replacement Meg, opposed to an immobilized spirit in a gooey lake, but he finds himself increasingly unwilling to give her chores -mainly those that are bound to humiliate her or risk her safety. She's too honest and not bold enough, you can't send her to swoon a giant centaur. The fact Hades even cares is the dilemma; he never had to contemplate whether something was inappropriate with the headstrong Meg, though he excuses his reluctance as not wanting the jobs to be half-assed. He feels charmed by Persephone's patience and tolerance for him, which is more than what anyone's ever graced him with. She shows understanding for his discontentedness and feels for the way he's being treated by humans and gods, since no one likes death, after all. One of her biggest compliments to him would be the fact how comedic and animated he is for a god of death, which would make the underworld a surprisingly fun place if he'd allow the dead to fade away whilst experiencing the same joy he brings her. Hades is perplexed to learn he brought her joy this entire time, since he was set on being her intimidating boss. Throughout the story, Hades still has his eyes on Hercules, who's claimed -and has continued to be- the one thing that prevents a successful future for him. The oracles give him a new, vague prediction that introduces the existence of a star, which has to keep on shining if he wants the guarantee he'll receive a gratifying life. Hades keeps his sights on the night time sky in order to protect this supposedly fragile star when it shows up. Meanwhile, Persephone's mother is looking for a way to find and save her daughter, which ironically worsens her health. She dies during her strenuous journey, and when her soul enters the underworld, Hades recognizes her and has to make the decision whether to spare this woman a second time, or to admit her time ran out months ago. While he's thinking it over, Persephone shows up, but doesn't make her presence known. Hades sends the soul back to the land of the living, and the spying Persephone becomes instantly smitten by him over it. She never tells him she watched him do this, though, and there isn't much else she says or does to express her changed feelings, since she was already being nice to him and doesn't know how to take the next step. As for the main conflict.. I guess it would be the other gods learning Hades has a human girl for a slave, since he proudly "shows her off" by having her wait for him outside the borders of whatever divine area he's visiting. Perhaps he mentions her as well, but then it was believed he was talking about a goddess. Hercules feels most offended and plans to save Persephone, and since Hades already has beef with him, sees no problem in trying to kill him for barging into his domain again. He sends everything he has Hercules' way, but he perseveres. When Hercules makes it clear to have come for Persephone, Hades calls him a womanizer, because yo, and contemplates using her as a bargaining chip/trap. This would involve killing Persephone in order to kill him. Hercules expresses willingness to take dangerous risks if it entails saving a life, making it appealing for Hades to go through with it, but he can't, because Persephone is his girl. Hercules sees his chance and beats him to a pulp, but Persephone intervenes and exclaims not to be in danger. He's a bit skeptical over her acceptance of the villain, but chooses to believe her and withdraws. Hades learns she's the prophesied star he needed to spare, or some sappy shait. As for the ending, it's made clear it's not healthy for mortal beings to live in the underworld, so she and Hades agree to do (mostly) scheduled visitations. He fires her from being his servant and she reunites with her mother and remorseful father. I'll give the original mythology a little twist; where Spring and Summer-like days are the moments she's staying with Hades, while colder days signal her return home, caused by Hades' stage 3 depression. Not that it matters much, I suppose, Hades should be able to visit her as well, but I imagine the man is busy.

Greek Mythology x Haikyuu

OVERVIEW. You were just a perfectly normal student at The University of Tokyo, when suddenly a bunch of 'normal boys', as they call themselves, appeared in your life and started to squeeze themselves into your life. Always saying something like "You're a goddess, we need to take you back to Olympus" (you brushed it off, saying that it was just a silly compliment) and even absurd sentences such as "You got Medusa's eyes" and "You're really Medusa's daughter!"

Alas, the most anticipated day finally came, the Ritual of Intuition. A new batch of deities will finally reap what they sown for the past 18 years.
But for Asami, it's not just that, hence also her the freedom she desired so much. No more asking for permissions to go here and there, and maybe, just maybe, she gets to explore the human world below! What an exciting day, really. Yet despite how much excitement filled her body, there's also this anxious feeling running through her. A bad intuition, some may say.
"You'll do great." Kiyoko, her half-sister who volunteered to dress her up for the occasion, suddenly said. "I know you will." Shimizu Kiyoko, the daughter of Poseidon and Aphrodite, has always been a caring sister. Although generally known to be aloof and straightforward, she’s also a passionate and responsible goddess. The next Aphrodite.
After placing a gold night star necklace on Asami's neck, the alluring goddess kissed her forehead. “I’ll see you there, okay? Take all the time you need.” Kiyoko bid her goodbye to Asami, off to check on her other friends.
Shimizu Kiyoko is the best sister you could ever ask for.
Asami stood up from her seat after a few breaths, heart hammering as she tread her way towards the large, gleaming primrose mirror in her quarters.
She stared at the mirror, not used to seeing the dead eyes. It was often said that her eyes were like the stars; always glowing whatever time it is of the day. Her usual cheery face was nowhere to be found, placed by anxiousness all over.
Why is she feeling nervous anyways? It’s just the ritual. Nothing more, nothing less.
Shaking her head, her eyes went down to the little details of her headwear and the attire she herself designed just for this day. A simple light blue, priding her father's color representation but in a lighter hue, off-shoulder lace dress that covers up her feet. A hint of turquoise flowers and embroidered silver vines dancing in the soft nude fabric, covered off with a light blue lace tulle, matching the shade of her top. A dress she chose to represent her parents, the reason why she's here today.
A sudden cool breeze passed making Asami shiver as she stared up her ceiling. What's keeping her from leaving her room were a bunch of 'what ifs' clouded in her head. Sighing deeply, "Come on, Asami. You've waited your whole life for this. Don't let the negative thoughts get you, as Sugawara always says." Asami muttered to herself, remembering the words of her friend managed to calm her nerves a bit.
"Asami, my daughter." Asami flinched upon hearing her father's voice, Poseidon. The god entered her chambers with his favored son, Iwaizumi Hajime. She gave them a look before running into her father's arms. "Aren't you excited? You should've left your room by now." Poseidon asked, a bit worried for his favorite.
Knowing Asami, they expected to see her happily running around the halls with her friend, Yamaguchi. It’s one of the common occurrences inside Zeus’ Palace to catch sight of the two best friends chasing each other all over the place. Sometimes, a few other deities joins them too. Nonetheless, it cheers everyone else as well.
"Don't get me wrong, Father. I'm really excited, but also quite nervous." Asami answered genuinely, breaking the hug. "What if I really don't have the powers like everyone says? I wasn't born with powers either." She added and exhaled, fiddling with her hair.
Asami won’t be lying if she says the rumors from the other deities are getting in her head. Rumors concerning her spread like a wildfire in Mt. Olympus. She tried so hard to ignore them, but she got stuck in the uncontrolled fire that slowly burns her mind.
Before she knew it, it affected her whole life. Asami thinks about it as soon as she opens her eyes in the morning, before sleeping at night, even when peacefully eating. It was too much, her mind is as if it’s like a deity is constantly pouring water in an glass that’s already full.
How can she not worry when the common occurrence is when a deity's parent or parents unexpectedly dies, the powers are transferred to them as soon as possible. Of course, every move they make are being watched by Athena, a request of Zeus as his fear still lingers.
But that's not the case for her. At all. She's the first one to have a case like that. Oh how Asami tried so hard to find what it is, from glaring at objects to talking to snakes. Yet it was no use.
Was Medusa not fond of her? Maybe, maybe she forgot. Or maybe! Maybe Athena prevented her to! Yeah, that sounds right. The story of Medusa and Athena’s punishment are still passed on ‘til this day, every deity is aware of it.
"Don't worry too much, Asami." Iwaizumi's words snapped her out of her thoughts. "Like Father always says, you are just a rare case." He gave his sister a comforting smile. A smile from Iwaizume comforted her, even though his smile looks really weird sometimes, he tries.
"Now child, chin up. Let's get going, your friends are waiting for you." Poseidon said with pride laced all over his voice. Asami nodded and gave a short smile, just to let them know she’s fine.
The three exited Asami's chambers and made their way to the courtyard, where the ceremony will take place.
Tumblr media
Heavy.
Every step she took became heavier and heavier. Like a brick had been put secretly on her shoes. The discomfort in her heart makes it worse, it feels like she’s voluntary walking towards her death. She used to wander around these halls so free of worries, enjoying every scenery put before her eyes.
So why? Why is this happening now?
”Asami.”
Asami felt like Mount Olympus is disappearing from her grasp, darkness slowly consuming her vision. Like a black hole miraculously popped up, swallowing her body.
“Asami.”
Her companions were talking but she can't hear anything but ringing in her ears. Her thoughts were so loud, she wants to escape but the black hole was preventing her to. Asami was stuck in her own mind.
It hurts.
“Asami!”
It hurts!
"Asami, hey!"
A voice called out to her.
A voice as clear as the skies, a voice she'll always recognize.
The voice she treats as her stars, because through the darkness, it will always be there to give her light.
Her vision leisurely went back. Enough to glimpse at Yamaguchi waving happily before making his way towards the her. Yamaguchi bowed to the sea god and his son who were about to enter the courtyard, them only nodding at him in return.
Yamaguchi was about to give Asami a hug when he saw her face that screamed distress. He immediately took a step back, knowing that's enough space she needs. He silently offered his hand for her to hold on, which Asami instantly grabbed on.
It's always like this.
After years of witnessing her panic attacks, Yamaguchi eventually learned how to act when this happens. Even if he also panicked the first time it happened.
He only watch her body shook in fear, watch her breath difficultly. He can only watch. Of course, Yamaguchi wants to do more than watch. He wants to whisper assuring words to her ears, help her breathe comfortably, he wants to help her.
But he also knows this is for the best. He doesn’t want to overstep her boundaries.
Because it’s always like that.
"Good?" He asked after noticing that her breathing went back to normal. A smile finally made it's way on Asami's lips as she looked at her best friend in the eyes. Yamaguchi only smiled in return.
It was always like this.
An unspoken habit of them both once something happens to one another. Smile like nothing happened. It became a comfort for them, assured that it’ll never change. The constant in a world full of changes.
"Are you excited to receive your powers? I'm really excited!" Yamaguchi gave her a quick embrace, his heart relieved that he finally did what he’s dying to do.
"I'm nervous, Tadashi." Asami answered. "But yes, after waiting for years, we'll finally receive the blessing. I can't wait!" She stated with a big smile plastered on her face, making Yamaguchi chuckle. Back to her original self.
The two entered the courtyard after a few minutes of catching up and went to their respective places, Yamaguchi with the Aeolians, placed at the Doric columns, and Asami with the Atlanteans, next to where Zeus' podium stands.
The ceremony started instantly, starting with the children of minor gods and goddesses residing in Hestia's place, Eophertia. Yachi Hitoka was the first one to go, the daughter of Aletheia, the goddess of truth.
Asami watched with anticipation, since Yachi is a good friend of hers. But the anxious feeling never left her, at all, making her tense every second of the event. "You good?" Iwaizume whispered to Asami, feeling the tense the second he looked at her.
She only gave a look of appreciation to Iwaizume, thanking every deity there is for giving her Iwaizume as her step-brother. She really got blessed with the most caring siblings in her immortal life.
Minutes passed, more deities received their blessings and are already privately trying their new profound powers.
Finally, the batch of Aeolians were asked to line up. Asami visibly stiffened, realizing the Atlanteans were next. As Yamaguchi stood in the center, he peeked at Asami, giving a nervous grin. Asami gave him two thumbs up, forgetting her own anxiety for a moment.
"Atlanteans." Flinching when she heard Hera's voice after the wind deities left the center, Asami didn't notice that her mind flew while the blessing took place. She only started walking after Shirofuku Yukie, daughter of Poseidon and Demeter, nudged her.
Whispers erupted as the year's batch of Atlanteans made their way to the center. Asami stood in the center, as she is the daughter of the ruler of Atlantis. Poseidon gave his daughter a tap in the back once everyone settled down.
"Begin." Hera tiredly announced, thankful that this was the second to the last batch. She was already itching to rest, irritated just like every ceremony.
The god of sea raised his trident, starting the blessing by giving a fair share of powers for his people. In the middle of Poseidon mumbling his spell, Hinata Shoyo, the son of Helios and Perse, detected an unusual reaction from the person beside him, Yachi. "What's wrong?" He immediately asked.
Yachi let out a quiet shriek after Hinata spoke. "I.. I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is right." She answered. Since she just got her powers hours ago, she's having second thoughts on what her eyes is showing her. Maybe it's just her imagination? She tend to do that a lot.
"What do you see?" Tsukishima Kei, son of Selene and Endymone, butted in. Curious of what's happening.
Yachi shook her head. "My eyes.." She took a deep breath, contemplating if this was the right thing to do. "..are telling me that Asami's a human."
Hinata's eyes widen after hearing that, even Tsukishima was taken aback. "Are.. are you sure? That can't be possibly true."
"Check again." Tsukishima uttered.
Hearing the three's conversation, Hermes quietly laughed. He internally praised himself for sitting behind the goddess of truth this year. Kunimi Akira, his son, frowned upon hearing this. "Father, this entertains you?" He asked. His hatred for his father grew in just mere seconds.
Hermes looked at his son before whispering to his ear, "I'm the cause. The real goddess lives with the mortals." Kunimi's eyes immediately widened for a second, he's disappointed but deep down, he's not surprised. Only his father can pull shits like this. "That's just what Poseidon deserves after what he did to Medusa."
Kunimi sighed. "Father." The frustrated god called. "You know what will happen when-"
"I know, I know. That's the fun part." Hermes cut him off. Kunimi wants to curse his father out, so tired of bearing his own parent's tricks. "Hey, Yachi. Announce that to everyone." Hermes whispered to the overwhelmed goddess' ears.
Yachi tensed up, slowly looking back at Hermes. "I.. It's true?"
"You can't lie. How can it not be true?" Hermes smirked. Kunimi cringed at this, wanting to be swallowed to the ground right now. "Yachi, the goddess of truth, has an announcement!" Hermes suddenly exclaimed, eyes are already on him.
Everyone was confused, especially Asami. "What is it?" Zeus asked, displeasure everywhere on his face. This is the first time in years the ceremony was interrupted. "It better be important. The ceremony is not to be hecked in."
Everyone turned to Yachi who was already shaking in fear. "Uh.. I.." Yachi stuttered. "My.. my eyes are saying that.. that Asami is not a deity." She closed her eyes, afraid of how everyone will react.
The courtyard was silent. Everyone was taken aback, not sure what to react. "What kind of nonsense is that!" Poseidon yelled. The god stared at Asami, who's tears were about to fall. His eyes softened, what Yachi suddenly announced should not be true.
"Where's Aletheia? We can't just believe a goddess who got her abilities hours ago." Hera rolled her eyes.
"Aletheia went to the human world after giving the blessing for her daughter. She can’t come back immediately." Zeus exhaled. He stood up from his seat, "The ceremony shall end now. The superior gods will discuss this with the goddesses of truth later. For now, go to your respective domains." He ordered.
The deities were quick to follow, only sparing worried and disgusted glances to Asami.
Hanamaki Takahiro, son of Boreas and Oreithyia, was about to fly away but noticed Yamaguchi never moved after the devastating announcement. "Yamaguchi, hey." He called yet Yamaguchi didn't seem to hear him, gazed fixed on Asami.
Matsukawa Issei, son of Notus, tapped his Yamaguchi's back. "Asami's going to be okay." He said, capturing Yamaguchi's attention. "It's still not confirmed. Everything will be fine."
The spaced out god only nodded. Getting ready to fly, "I'm sending gods to the human world to find the real daughter of Medusa if this turns out to be true." The three heard Hera announce which made the wind deities look at her.
"Hera's right. We can't let a goddess wonder in the human world. Especially Medusa's daughter." Zeus stated. "If she doesn't want to return here, kill her." He added.

A/N:
Sorry for not updating so soon! School's been a bitch. I'll try to update regularly as much as I can. The reader insert may appear on Chapter 4! Please bear with me.
A lot of characters have been introduced in this chapter, I can't wait to show more of their side in the upcoming chapters. Also, I'm planning to release a little event here soon! It is called 'Exploring Olympus' wherein I'll post pictures of the places I took inspiration in for the places in Mt. Olympus.
I took a lot of time describing how Asami felt before the ceremony. I'm sorry if it's poorly written, but I gave my best! I will be better in the upcoming chapters.
Notes, comments and reviews are very much appreciated! It makes my heart so happy :) If you have any questions or literally anything else, please send an ask! I'd love to answer them.
Thank you for reading!

Feeling nostalgic today... This is what got me heavy into fanfic and how Fate happened. Makoto kept popping up with Chibi-Chibi and I wanted to find a way to keep them together. Then Miki happened and it all snowballed from there.

My #1 post of 2022
A little hurricane to go with the big one passing over...
The air around her was still humid from her shower, and the heat from the hairdryer wasn’t helping.  Makoto tugged at the collar of her bathrobe, then opened the door a crack to let in some air.  The rush of cooler air into the bathroom made it better, and she clicked the hairdryer back on low.  Over the low hum of it, she could hear Miki’s baby chatter and giggles.  She smiled as she watched him playing from the mirror.  Little plastic boats bobbed up and down around him as he splashed, creating the miniature waves his yellow ducky haplessly drifted along on.  His ducky would periodically be rescued, only to be held up as high as Miki’s chubby arms could go, and dropped back into the water head first. He laughed harder each time he did this, greatly amused by the tumult he was causing.
“Okay, Little Bug, bath time’s over,” announced Makoto when she finished with her hair.  She turned off the hairdryer and placed it on the shelf, then reached for a towel.  Turning to the toddler in the tub, she went on, “Time to get dried and dressed, now.”
Miki frowned at her as she knelt beside the tub.  Grabbing his ducky, he clutched it to him and shook his head.  “No.  Miki wath.”
“You’re already all washed,” replied Makoto evenly.  “Now you have to get dressed for when Ami-mama comes home.”
    “Where Mi-ma?”
“You know where Ami-mama is,” she answered as she reached in and pulled the drain.  “Where does she go every morning?”
Miki’s face scrunched up as he thought very hard, the tilt of his head and his tiny, concentrated frown reminding Makoto of Ami.  She grinned at that thought as she lifted him from the tub.  As his feet touched the striped green towel on the floor, a wide smile lit up his face.  “Thool!  Mi-ma at thool!”
Makoto ruffled his damp hair, making it stick up in a mess of auburn spikes.  “That’s right, my smart boy.  And she’s late tonight, so we have to get done so she can have her turn to wash when she gets home.”
“Okay,” he answered, then held his ducky tighter so he wouldn’t drop him while his mama dried them off.
When she was done, Makoto wrapped him loosely in the towel and picked him up, holding him so he could reach the shelf.  “Put your ducky away, and then we’ll get dressed.”
Miki reached forward and set his ducky on the shelf.  He patted the ducky’s head goodnight, and as he settled back against Makoto, his eyes caught his reflection in the mirror.  He smiled widely at the Miki in the mirror, his baby teeth showing as he did.
Makoto grinned at his silliness and picked up the brush.  Carefully, she brushed his hair down so he looked like less of a street urchin, then said, “There, how’s that?”
Miki reached out and put his hand over his reflection.  “Miki pwetty,” he answered through a smile.  Then his hand moved over top of Makoto’s reflection.  “Mama pwetty, too.”
“Thank you, sweetie,” she said, giving the top of his head a kiss.  She hiked him higher on her hip, then looked into the mirror and asked, “So, does Mama look another year older today?”
The baby looked into her face, a very serious expression on his as he studied her.  Then he smiled and nodded his head very enthusiastically ‘yes.’
Makoto laughed.  “In a few years, you and I are going to have a talk about honesty and a woman’s age.  In the meantime, what do you want to wear tonight?  Trucks or dinosaurs?”
“Twucks,” answered Miki quickly.  Makoto nodded, and as she started them towards his bedroom, he asked, “Pway twucks, Mama?”
“After you’re dressed,” said Makoto, laying him on the towel on his bedroom floor.  “You can play with Uncle Haruka when she gets here.”
“Unca Wuka pway twucks wif Miki.  And Tawu!  Gonna pway with Tawu!” he exclaimed excitedly.  Now thoroughly caught up in the idea of playing with his favorite babysitter, Miki abandoned all thought of getting dressed.  His focus landed squarely on his toy chest, and he rolled over to his hands and knees to push himself up so he could get to it.
“No, you don’t,” said Makoto as she caught him and plopped him back on the towel.  “Not until after you’re dressed.”
Miki’s bottom lip immediately pooched out, and he looked up at her with wide, watery blue eyes.
“That may work on your Ami-mama, but it won’t work on me,” she responded, reaching blindly behind her with one hand to try and snag a diaper while holding the baby in place with the other.  Coming up short, she slowly let go of him and said pointedly, “Stay.”
Miki frowned, but sat still and watched her as she backed up, picked up a diaper, and then grabbed his pacifier as an afterthought before moving back beside him on the floor.  He opened his mouth for his pacifier, then laid back and chewed contentedly on it while his mother diapered him.
That task done, Makoto got up to get his pajamas from the dresser.  Just as she pulled the red footie pj’s from the drawer, she heard a burst of pacifier muffled giggles and turned just in time to see Miki’s pampered bottom running out the door.  With a sigh, she slung his pajamas over her shoulder.  “Well, at least I got the diaper on him first.”
There were a good number of things her son had mastered in his 19 months of life.  Hide and seek, however, was not one of them.  She spotted him as soon as she walked into the living room, hunkered down on the floor beside Ami’s desk.  His face was buried in his arms against the rug as he squeezed into the open corner created by the wall and desk.
Makoto chuckled lightly to herself, then said in an exaggerated tone, “I wonder where Bug got to.  I know he’s here somewhere.”
If he hadn’t been hiding out in the open, the sound of his giggles would have given him away.  Makoto moved slowly towards him, taking the time to look around the couch and under the table, exclaiming each time that she still hadn’t found her Little Bug.  She was almost to his hiding place when she heard the key in the front door.
At the metallic sound, Miki’s head shot up like a puppy’s.  Before Ami could even close the door behind her, he was running towards her calling out a happy, “Mi-ma!” around his pacifier.
Ami dropped her bag on the floor and picked up her son.  He left a wet baby kiss on her cheek before wrapping his arms around her neck in a tight hug.  Ami smiled happily at the greeting and hugged him back.

I saw your post about the IkeSen lords and their NoMo MC and thought it was beautifully done! But it got me thinking... What if the lords' mc COULDN'T have kids, not necessarily that she didn't want them. How do you think Hideyoshi, Ieyasu and Masamune would react? Or even Sasuke, Yukimura and Shingen (or any three Lord combo you want... I'm curious about all all of them.)
Hi, hi, dear. ❤🌻🥰Thank you so much for the request love! 🦊Awww, thank you so much for the kind words, dear!❤❤❤❤😳 Hehe, so I didn’t add Sasuke and Yuki cause I was lazy, hope that is okay❤🌻🦋! Anyways so, this one really hit close to home!🙈😱 So I hope I did this justice! I hope you have a super good day and I hope you are keeping safe!  ❤❤🌻🦋
Headcanon: MC that can’t have children feat: Hideyoshi, Ieyasu, Masamune and Shingen
Ieyasu
The two of you had been married for quite some time now
And naturally, you started trying for children to expand your little porcupine army ^̮^
It had been a few years of trying yet still nothing ≧☉_☉≦
Ieyasu had given both of you, various concoctions of herb mixes to aid in fertility and the two of you practically tried every wives tale in the book, from honey and cinnamon drinks to acupuncture
Yet still nothing (¬_¬)
You decided to go and speak to one of the midwives while Ieyasu was away to war
She did a quick evaluation and after some time she looked you in the eyes, sad look crossing her face ⚆ _ ⚆
She didn’t have to say anything for you to know that you couldn’t have children  ಥ ͜ʖಥ
You offered her a smile and thanked her for the evaluation
However, the second she left you crumpled to the floor and cried
‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚
Ieyasu came back early that night and was greeted by the sight of you curled up in a ball sobbing  ๐·°(৹˃̵﹏˂̵৹)°·๐
He was by your side in a matter of seconds picking your up and cradling you in his arms, as he moved you to sit in his lap
His heart broke as you refused to look him in the eyes
All sorts of things had been going through your mind when the midwife left, like would he take up another wife at the news, would he leave you
Long fingers gently wiped away your tears and made their way to hook under your chin so that you were now looking at him ༼☯﹏☯༽
“Tell me what happened, did that stupid Mitsunari make you some horrible tea and force you to drink it.” (◕⍸ ◕✿)
You chuckled through the sobs as he tried to lighten the mood with a joke
His fingertips danced across your cheek as he lovingly caressed your face while wiping away every tear that fell  ( ‘́⌣’̀)/(˘̩̩ε˘̩ƪ)
Finally, through hiccuped sobs, you managed to get out what the midwife had told you
He couldn’t help but shed a tear of his own at how heartbroken you were at the news  (╥_╥)
He simply wrapped you in his arms and tucked your head so that it was now comfortably resting in the crook of his neck. He gently rubs small circles on your back as you spent the night crying in his arms
He kissed your nose and your cheek, “It’s alright silly girl, there is more than one way to start a family. It’s not your fault so don’t stress about it.” He tried his best to reassure you knowing that you were beating yourself up  (。◕‿◕。)
He smiled kissing your forehead, “Besides we already do have a baby we are looking after, I’m pretty sure Mitsunari would die without our care, especially during times when Hideyoshi goes to war.”(。◕‿◕。)
At the end of the day, the two of you did have children, albeit not your biological children.
You adopted two wonderful little boys who were sent to the Oda clan as hostages after their parents died.
The second, you saw the look on Ieyasu face when he saw the two little scamps you knew that he wanted to rescue them so that they didn’t suffer the same fate he had as a child.
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Masamune
Masamune already knew you couldn’t have children
Or rather he suspected
Every time the two of you would do the deed, you would always joke about, him not having to worry about you getting pregnant (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
He never thought much of it, shrugging it off thinking you had some fancy futuristic contraception
The two of you never really sat down and had a conversation about it
Although the more serious Masamune Date got about you, the more you dreaded having to have that convo with the man ಠ╭╮ಠ
After all, he was the leader of his clan and as wife to the future leader certain duties and expectations had to be met
Well not that you were at that point yet, or so you thought
Unbeknown to you Masamune had gone behind your back and consulted with your enemy ninja fiend and his fellow warlords to plan the perfect evening to propose to you (✿◠‿◠)
Masamune knew you were the perfect woman for him, and tbh after having met you, you were the only woman he could ever look at
You taught him how to love and healed him from all his traumas and for that, he will be eternally grateful (◕‿◕✿)
He knew you were never one for grand gestures so he decided to keep it small, besides this way the proposal would genuinely be a surprise
He cooked the two of you dinner like any other night
After dinner, you made your way outside together to sit and have a nightcap under the stars
That's when he pulled out a ring and proposed ( ° ᴗ°)~ð (/❛o❛\)
You were so happy you could cry, yet the tears you shed weren’t from happiness  ಥʖ̯ಥ
“Masamune I have to tell you something?” you said in a rather serious tone
He froze up thinking you were going to tell him you didn’t love him, that his feelings had been one-sided, he swallowed the lump in his throat as he spoke, “What is it kitten, don’t tell me you’re afraid of commitment”
You shook your head tears still falling, “Remember all those jokes I made about not having to worry about getting pregnant, well those weren’t jokes, I really can’t.”  (>﹏<)
Everything seemed to move in slow motion, as he was faced with a decision between happiness and duty
He made up his mind and looked you square in the eyes, “And the problem is what exactly kitten, I love you and you love me right, so say yes” he gave you the broadest smile (˶◕‿◕˶✿)
You couldn’t help but jump into his arms in a tight embrace showering his face in small kisses
In truth, you had received a proposal once before, years ago yet, that man was not able to accept you as you were. Looking back you were thankful he had rejected you, as it had led you onto the path of true love and happiness
Masamune did eventually get a son and a successor, as the two of you had come across a poor orphaned boy barely surviving on the streets and decided to take him in and raise him as your own. | (• ◡•)| (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)
Shingen
You and Shingen had been married for quite some time now
He was still busy recovering from his lung disease and it was time for the two of you to go back to the future with Sasuke to get him checked out and restock up on meds
 (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
The two of you, would go back to the future every five years or so just to check up on his lungs, to make sure everything was still good (¬‿¬)
While Shingen was at the doctors, you decided to go to your gynaecologist to check up on your lady bits (¬‿¬)(¬‿¬)
Usually, the two of you would chill in the future for a few months until the next wormhole opened up, which suited you perfectly as it gave you an opportunity to catch up with your family (◕‿◕✿)
One day while you and Shingen were chilling on the couch the gyno called and asked you to come in so she could discuss your results
Shingen looked over at you, “Is everything alright, my goddess.” (◕‸ ◕✿)
You wore a concerned expression as you put down the phone, “I’m not sure, she asked me to come and see her as soon as possible.” (◕__◕✿)
The next day you and Shingen were sitting in the consultation room as the gynaecologist broke the news to you, that you had cervical cancer
Shingen grabbed your shaking hands and squeezed it.
As the doctor explained your options, Shingen helped keep you calm by rubbing soothing circle on the back of your hand (〃‿〃✿)
The two of you decided to start the treatment immediately as that was the best way to ensure that both of you would be in tip top shape to return to the past
To be honest when the doctor broke the news that after the procedure, you would never be able to have biological children of your own, your heart broke  ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )
You and Shingen had finally decided to try for children and now that dream seemed to be coming to a crashing end  (つ﹏⊂)
Shingen was there for you every step of the way, just as you were for him when he was sick and in the hospital (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
The two of you went through the list of options in terms of children, and being in the future, there were quite a few options
The two of you finally settled on adoption and quickly approached an agency to fast track it before you had to return back home ~(˘▾˘~)
The two of you landed up adopting four children at once.
They had been in the system for so long, as they came as a package deal. Neither of them wanting to be separated from the others
Shingen smiled as the social worker warned him about the 13-year-old’s tendency to run away.┗(^0^)┓
The two of you returned back to the past with your four children. You had gone from an empty nest to a full house in less than a year
You were slightly worried about the children having to adapt to a new life in the past, but those worries were for nothing as they were absolutely thriving ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪
Even the angsty 13-year old that was rumoured to have run away from his last 10 homes loved every bit of the past
He especially had taken a liking to Yukimura who would train with him
Finally, the four children who had never known love their whole entire lives were now surrounded by it from all sides
Hideyoshi
Oh you had loved your doting husband to bits ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )
He was everything you could have ever asked for in a potential partner, kind, loving, caring, need I go on \ (•◡•) /
Hideyoshi had found out very early on that you were unable to have children
In fact, you had actually confided in him way back when he had still sister zoned you ◉_◉
He never judged you for it and honestly never cared whether you could have children or not, all he knew was that he loved you ♥‿♥
He often jokes that the two of you couldn’t possibly raise a child as you already had your hands full with the warlords (。◕‿‿◕。)
If the two of you weren’t controlling Nobunaga’s candy binges, you were caring for Mitsunari, heck the two of you even had to break up small fights between bickering warlords
Although all that changed one day when there was a knock on your door in the middle of the night (;一_一)
Naturally, you kicked Hideyoshi out of bed to investigate, as you were to comfortable in the warm cocoon of your bed (。v_v。)
Hideyoshi kissed the top of your head as he got up to investigate.
As he approached the door, he wondered who dare would wake them up so late into the evening ¬_¬
He was already cursing under his breath thinking he might find an injured Mitsuhide on his doorstep in need of medical assistance.
He opened the door and peered into the darkness, no one was there. He frowned thinking it might have been some children pulling a prank ب_ب
Just as he was closing the door, he heard a small sneeze, he looked down to the find out the source of the sound was a baby, that couldn’t have even been more than a few hours old ≧☉_☉≦
He gently picked up the tiny thing and cradled it in his arm.
He could feel his blood boiling as he felt how cold the little baby’s hand were
(╯=▃=)╯︵┻━┻
He rushed to get a soft blanket to wrap the poor child in and then made his way to your shared room where he relit the fireplace ლ(・ω・*ლ)
At this point, you were sitting up in your futon wondering if Mitsuhide had gotten himself injured again (^^;)
Before you could even get up, your eyes widened in shock as you spotted the little bundled in Hideyoshi’s arms as he lit the fireplace ʘ‿ʘ
The second he handed the child to you, you were in love, in fact, both of you were in love  ♡。゚.(*♡´‿` 人´‿` ♡*)゚♡ °・
You raised the little girl as your own, the two of you could never track down her biological parents, not that you cared as you loved her to bits and would never be able to give her up  (◍•ᴗ•◍)♡ ✧*。
I hope you enjoyed this love🦋🌻! And I hope you are keeping safe and well.❤❤🥰🌻
