alright, so, one more thing i've been thinking about during all of this, and apologies, because i normally try to keep my blog fairly discourse-free in the grand scheme of things. but.

there are hermitcraft fans who act irritatingly morally superior about this fandom. i think it's out of some impulse to try to distance yourselves from any other mcyt fandom. it needs to stop.

the worst behavior during the polls was from the hermitcraft fans.

period.

there were so many instances of hermitcraft fans accusing the other side of cheating, of hermitcraft fans making attacks on the character of their guy's opponents, i have heard what i HOPE are isolated reports of racism in the grian/quackity fight (it was genuinely impossible to keep up with the blog's notes that round without both going into a death spiral thanks to the horrible behavior of scar fans during techno/scar and also without losing track instantly of where we were due to the frankly insurmountable volume of notes, so i did not see it, but unfortunately i fully believe it). i have seen people receiving awful asks - saw people being accused of 'betraying' the hermitcraft side due to voting for quackity or techno, for example.

and for a fandom that likes to act like it's better than the other guys, well. the dsmp fans were generally very well behaved in comparison. (shoutout, for example, to quackblr - i saw maybe one or two possible instances of bad behavior, but for as intense as you all were, you all were normally mostly just retaliatory towards whatever energy was thrown at you.) it wasn't supposed "outsiders coming in" that was doing this bad behavior, either.

folks, you can't blame the dsmp when the problem is inside the house. you can't blame twitter users when you're doing it here. you can't blame the reddit when you're the ones throwing the first death threats.

get off your high horses. we're all mcyt fans. we're all having the same fun. get off your high horses. you can hardly claim we're entirely all "unproblematic" when keralis accepted a sponsorship from the wizard game and xisuma periodically gets another round of getting shouted down over something he said on xisumasays. get off your high horses. you can't claim we're the accepting, good behavior fandom, unlike those other guys, when you're the ones causing the problems.

now, as always, i'm sure this is a law of large numbers thing to some extent. as technoblade, wise as he is, said: sometimes when you get a large enough group, you're going to have a few serial killers. but for the amount that hermitblr likes to act better than Those Other Minecraft Fandoms, and those Other Fandom Websites, it wasn't those guys that made me cry.

to be clear, the majority of you have been well-behaved. but there's a persistent tendency in this fandom to act strangely morally superior to other fandoms. and, y'all? you aren't.

you just aren't.

and the sooner you acknowledge that, the less likely this is to happen again, because once you admit that yeah, we can be toxic too? that's when you can start actually looking at yourself and trying not to be.

anyway, sorry again to make this post. i don't want to be a downer, hence why, outside of the official mod statements of "chill the fuck out", i didn't make this until now. (it also helps that i wanted to wait until i was no longer furious, upset, and death spiraling.) i have seen a lot of the best of this fandom over the past two weeks! i've just also, unfortunately, seen some of the worst, and feel the need to make this statement because it's just... been eating at me.

i don't want this to continue to be a trend. i think we can do better. do so.

Remember that reddit post about the guy who keeps getting into fights with the cook at waffle house? Ok that but joecherry, as witnessed by respective apprentices Langa and Reki

Reki likes Sia la Luce. It's pretty fancy, but he has to wear a kimono during his apprenticeship anyway so he never sticks out too badly. The food is really good--he never had Italian before he started coming here--the employees are all nice people, and the atmosphere is usually pleasant. Usually. The only exception being...

"You must have lost whatever smidgen of skill you had to your oversized muscles!"

"Clearly your tastebuds need to be checked as much as your eyes, damn four-eyes!"

Reki chews slowly on his pasta as his teacher and the head chef Nanjou argue over the counter. Again. Like they do every time they eat here. There's never anything wrong with the food in his opinion, but Cherry--Kaoru-sensei in public, he's reminded him countless times--always seems to have some problem. He can't tell if this is bad flirting or what. Mostly, it's just kind of weird and disruptive.

One of the junior chefs, Langa, slides into the seat across from him, also glancing at the fight. "Um, your food isn't that bad... right?" he asks hesitantly.

Reki shakes his head wildly. "No, the food's great! Awesome, even!"

Langa sighs with relief. "I made your meal today, so thank you. I'm glad you like it."

Reki nearly chokes on his next bite, but manages to swallow it down, hopefully without being too obvious about it. It shouldn't be a big thing. Of course one of the chefs would have made his food; it doesn't have to be the head chef. But Reki has had a crush on Langa ever since he saw him the first time Cherry took him here and he can't help getting his hopes up that maybe this means something. Maybe. Possibly.

The food suddenly tastes a whole lot better now. How about that?

"Y-you're a really good cook, Langa!" Reki stammers. "Thanks for the meal!"

Before Langa can say anything else, the argument kicks up a bit and there's a choking sound. When Reki looks to the side, Cherry is trying to strangle Nanjou with the collar of his tight shirt. A few patrons actually look over this time and in the blink of an eye, they've fixed their appearance as though nothing happened.

"Man," says Reki, "they have way too much practice with that."

Langa nods. "Mm. They're childhood friends, so it makes sense."

"They're what?!"

Langa tilts his head at him. "Sakurayashiki-san hasn't told you? They grew up together."

Cherry did not tell him this. Any time he tried to ask about why they keep coming here Cherry just gave him a scary look and said Oh so you don't want me to pay for your lunch anymore? Reki values his life, wallet, and future prospects, so he stopped pestering. Eventually.

"You know, that makes sense," he says thoughtfully. "Ch--Kaoru-sensei wouldn't just fight with anyone." With no one looking at them, except for Reki and Langa, Cherry and Nanjou have gone back to their hissed argument. It's starting to look a lot more like weird flirting now. He kind of doesn't want to keep watching anymore.

Reki looks back at Langa. "Hey wait, what are you doing out here anyway? I thought you weren't allowed to be a server."

"Nanjou-san said it's okay if it's you. I'm 'better at smiling' when I'm with you." As though to prove his boss's point, Langa smiles.

Reki ducks his head, hiding his own smile behind his food.

(By the counter, the argument continues:

"Now look what you've done! Your employee is slacking to flirt with my apprentice!"

"How is that my fault? Is your AI heart too mechanical to appreciate young love?"

"Not when they're on the clock!"

"And what do you think we're doing right now?")

System Cringe Actually Needs to Stop

I don't care if you are endogenic or traumagenic, this hurts everyone, but especially self-discovered disordered systems. People are being harassed and fake claimed for actual symptoms of DID at this point. They make fun of everything from actual jokes to diagnosed systems. It's disgusting. In r/fakedisordercringe, they will literally delete your message if you so much as attempt to defend the person with reason. You are stupid if you think all of the people on that subreddit are faking because of the bullshit reasons the posters give. Sure, some may be faking, let's say they are. What would be more beneficial to them and to their community: Berating them online for "faking" a disorder or ignoring them. If you are oh so desperate to interact with this person, there are so many other things you could do then blatantly tell them. You don't have this disorder. You are faking. And various other things. You could give them resources, ask them why they believe they have the disorder (if you are close enough, don't ask strangers this), or basically anything else.

Also, even if they were purposely faking the disorder, a random person on the internet cussing them out and telling them they aren't real isn't going to make them stop. On top of that, if someone is purposefully faking a disorder, there are bigger issues there. Most people don't just wake up one day and decide to put together an elaborate plan to convince everyone they have a disorder, especially a really heavily stigmatized one. If someone is faking a disorder, they need help, the need someone to talk to, and somewhere to be themself. Chances are they are struggling in life for other reasons, and being an asshole on the internet is not going to stop that.

Anyways there is my rant about r/systemcringe and r/fakedisordercringe! I despise both and if you post people or make fun of people on there do not talk to us.

This post was mostly created for us to get out our feelings and possibly share the feelings with others since one of our friends got posted on r/fakedisordercringe for an absolute bullshit reason and it made us go down the hell hole that fake claiming on Reddit.

I keep getting videos like “ILLYMATION DESTROYED HER CAREER” and “WOKE YOUTUBER TRIED TO CANCEL ME” in my recommended. I finally look into the situation and I’m just… so confused. So I skimmed the guys original video, right? Come to the 10:00 mark, and I stop skipping, and it’s just him insulting her appearance 💀.

So, I look into the situation, and her crime is having a bad opinion and trying to get a video taken down. If having a a bad opinion is a crime, 80% of YouTubers are criminals. As for trying to get the video taken down? Sure, you could call it petty. But cancel-worthy? I just consider it human error.

Apparently doing 1 questionable thing means you deserve to be treated like the devil and treated like a criminal mastermind. It’s the IRL equivalent of kicking Sharon out of book club because she made fun of you.

Also, I was looking at that LBYS guys channel, right? It’s just a bunch of content about “wOoooOOke people.” I uh, yeah. Wow.

I’m not saying she did nothing wrong. Just like… I think it’s being overdramatised.

Full disclosure, I haven’t watched Illymations video in full, or TBYS, but the “there are no bad foods” comment or smth like that is kinda true, just poorly worded. Essentially, it’s about eating in moderation. Nothing wrong with a square of chocolate on a Saturday, but pizza every day is different. Honestly, criticise the video if you want, I haven’t seen it all, so I won’t comment on that. Just. Yeah?

I’m not an illymation stan. I’ve only talked about her once before in relation to a different situation (the reitanna situation and her god awful statement about illymations grooming.) and I don’t watch all her content. I like her music though (Ursa Major), it’s good. I just like. Think the situation is a bit blown out of proportion?

Idk, tell me I’m wrong in my replies or something. I probably won’t respond but I won’t delete your comment unless you’re just being an ass and I’ll hear you out if I’m wrong. I’m just sick of this. Every few weeks I get a video in my recommended like “THIS YOUTUBERS CAREER IS OVER” and it’s always overdramatising the silliest shit.

“She sent 2 million people to harass him.” No? She made a tumblr post telling people to report the video. You know, I can’t even FIND the tumblr post, so that 2 million people claim is a bit over dramatic. She doesn’t even have her tumblr linked to her YouTube. Wait, was it on Twitter? People are claiming it’s on tumblr. I’m so confused.

Also I haven’t watched all of TBYS’s video but people are saying the dress part wasn’t even the worst part of what he said. Idk if that’s true. I condone doing your own research and free thinking so I’d be a hypocrite to say he 100% said anything terrible. It’s weird, cuz Reddit is mostly on Illy’s side, while everywhere else is against her, and that’s really funny to me, because REDDIT of all places?

Also didn’t she delete the post?? Whatever, I’m getting a headache. If you’re gonna call me fat in the replies btw? I’m on a weight loss journey so it’s unironically motivating. I used to be 13’5, now I’m 11’3. I was 11’1 for a short while, but my weight has been static the last two weeks. I’m only saying this cuz I know how people are lmao. But if you’re civil that’s cool. (Edit: 10’12 now. A year and four months.)

Idk I’ll probably delete this later. I don’t keep my rants up for long but I’ve been keeping them up a lot recently even tho like, I’m meant to be deleting them? Ugh, I guess I just got lazy. Anyway, bye, love you, or whatever.

It appears the manic safetyism the left has mandated for the past 15 years has begun to harm their ability to report issues that generate the demand for said safetyism.

A shame, really. Media overrun by guardrails protecting people against threats that were so fleeting and phantasmal they were forgotten long ago, everyone forced to pretend that terms like "unalive" replaced "dead" organically, or at least for reasons understandable to someone, somewhere, who is not completely insane.

I saw a thing the other day--one of the slimiest forms of clickbait where someone re-posts a piece of social media on a different platform, from a bigger account, presumably reaping ad revenue off someone else's content. It was one of them "Am I the Asshole" threads from Reddit. Don't remember its content at all--those are mostly fake, anyway--but it stood out to me because the word "Control" had been censored in the headline and throughout the piece. Apparently that's bad brand association, gives people the ick in regards to whatever Chinese boner pills or Keto supplements or knockoff contraceptive devices need to be sold to keep the internet functioning.

That got me thinking about all the times you'll see a video that contains naughty words that are spoken clearly in the audio but replaced with asterisks in the captioning. I had presumed this was a simple extension of trigger warnings, people wanting to avoid getting yelled at or having their accounts suspended. It's just "being a decent fucking person," after all. Any psychologist will tell you that the profound trauma survivors suffer upon seeing the word rape in print goes away entirely if the word is spelled r*pe. Words are violence, after all. They cause hurt to vulnerable folx. Do you want to be violent? Do you realize how many people you're killing every time you speak? Just do what what we tell you, obey our ever-increasing slew of incessantly weird and petty linguistic mandates or else I'll call your boss, tell your teachers, get you fired, put you in prison, etc etc.

But taking away ad revenue? Oh no, oh shit, that's a bridge too far! Won't someone think of the click merchants?!? Weep for all the important stories that shall no longer be profitably told--the trans influencers changing our perception about public architecture through dance poetry, the brave women exposing the inherent sexism within Behtesda, Maryland public sanitation department, the bold new Alf conspiracy theory that's drivin' fans insane, the development of 6 new cocktails inspired by the third season of HBO's Arli$... all gone, beaten, washed away like tears in the rain...

Not sure if you’re still accepting birthday asks for Taiju, I’m late to my beefy boy’s big day! But I remembered the sketch of the Shiba home in the character book and how loaded they are even before Taiju becomes a restauranteur, not sure if it’s strictly Black Dragon money or Daddy Shiba raking it in for the kids he never sees…

But Yan!Taiju who essentially kidnaps you to live with him, it’s a weird hybrid fantasy of domesticity and training for the future because duh you are his one and only wife so naturally you should get started on perfectly your wifely duties. He loves coming home to you fumbling over yourself, house chores and dinner done. It’s a taste and sneak peek into the future he envisions with you. Yuzuha and Hakkai keep their mouths shut, partly because they know their words don’t mean anything but as twisted as it is, having you around is a benefit. Whether their brother is pretending they don’t exist, trying to show a better side to you, or because you genuinely calm him down they’re not sure, but your arrival has given them a rare and gracious peace. It wouldn’t be too bad having you as a big sis.

Yes to this whole ask! First off, the Shibas being just rich is an understatement, I mean - their house?? Has a pool? IN TOKYO? From what I understand from the comments of this Reddit post on the Shibas (and by extent the TR character book), Daddy Shiba is just never at home, but the family is definitely very well to do.

To Taiju, you're his god given wife - he knew that right from when he first laid eyes on you, whether or not you agreed with him or not. Can't stop thinking about you day and night whenever the two of you are apart. Of course, you were all but already married to him in Taiju's mind - he just needs to know that you're safe and that you're looking forward to being his and that you're not cheating on him, which would no doubt be easy for you to if you're away and out of sight from him. So it's only natural that this boy helpfully remove any other options of accommodation you have so that you have to move in with him: couples as close and loving as the two of you are supposed to live together anyway right? Be it a staged break-and-enter to scare you out of your current house, intimidating your landlord into raise your rent unbearably high, before basically kidnapping you and forcing you to live with him in the Shiba residence.

The moment you move in, you live by his rules, which were mostly exclusive to you. You basically follow him around everywhere he went, and had to get his approval every time you wanted to leave his side. And there are instances that he has to let you go, as much as he didn't want you to. You still had to go to school after all to keep up your appearance, and Taiju had to admit that he does love to personally walk you to and fro school to show that you were his, not so much when he had to leave you alone to go to school himself. No phones are allowed while you were with him or at home, but you did have one when you had to go so that he could check in with you every hour (or honestly, every time this boy got worried if you were okay). And he went through your phone and all your messages after you got back to make sure that you weren't cheating on him (not that he think you would), or more importantly, that no one was trying to steal you away from him.

As his wife, or soon to be at least, your most important duty is learning to care for Taiju while he runs the Black Dragons, bring home the dough, and keeps you safe. The Shibas seem to have at least one housekeeper, seeing that there's a housekeeper room with two beds, so Taiju wouldn't make you do all the house chores, especially not those that seem way too vigorous for someone delicate like you - this boy doesn't want your hands to become rough and calloused like his. They should be soft and flawless, like yours now, like what he loves. Neither does he want you to be cleaning up after his siblings (you're going to be his wife after all), so most of your chores will be based around his room and his things. Washing and ironing his school and gang uniform, making the bed, feeding his fish, keeping his shelves dust-free, and of course, cooking a satisfying hot home-cook meal for him to come home to. For two. Siblings not invited.

You will also be sharing his room from now on, and sleeping in his bed with him. He'll get his gang to gather all your things - wait no, actually, he'll do it himself. Doesn't trust the rank and file to handle your stuff without making an absolute mess, let alone any of your personal belongings, plus this very religious boy will self-combust in a mix of shame and sin if you weren't there to pack your own..um..intimate clothes. Also gets a bigger bed for the two of you to share but will ask to cuddle with you every night because the sinfulness. Sometimes threatens to have you sleep downstairs, alone in the dark in the housekeeper's room when you do something he doesn't quite like, but have never goes through with the threat.

But no doubt you were resistant to the idea at first - unable to live with the idea that being tied to him was your destined future, your ideal future by his side. And you were certainly rebellious in Taiju's eyes at the start, defying his explicit orders for you be it on purpose or not. He tried to be nice and kind since you were such a fragile little thing next to him, and Taiju wants so bad for you to just return his endless love for you, to come home to you pampering him with kisses and cuddles and asking how his day had been. But you had to go against him. He was the man of the house, which meant that he had to put you in your place when you stepped out of line. You'll learn one way or the other, Taiju'll make sure of that.

With his huge stature and that dangerous aura that always seems to cloak him, it doesn't take much for Taiju to get you to start taking note of what he wants from you. Starts off with cornering you and raising his voice to intimidate you when you missed a spot of dust, and escalating to coercing and bullying you when you skip one of his must-do chores in favour of your homework and assignments that he couldn't care more about. And all the way to forcibly isolating you inside a closet and ignoring your cries and whimpers no matter how much it wretches his heart to teach you a lesson about ignoring him or trying to meet up with "friends" against his wishes. Always stops himself before he ever goes too far - you're his soft, soft wife after all, the angel in his life, the divine light of his world, he could never hurt you bad enough to leave a scar. Just wants to nudge you in the right direction at the early stage.

Starts to soften up as you slowly earn his trust and start to conform and become his perfect little wifey. When Taiju first started spiralling for you, he only ever allowed you to school and back, and only when accompanied by either him or his trusted Black Dragon lieutenants Koko and Inupi. No after school clubs, no detours to the store, no going anywhere except to school and home. But as the days go by, maybe Taiju'll relent and take you out for ice cream if he's in a good mood and you ask ever so sweetly. And perhaps you can sit in at the Black Dragon meetings where he doesn't raise his voice at all so that he doesn't scare you. And this boy definitely will stutter and melt if you stroked his hair and kissed his forehead. Okay he's totally soft for you whether you know it or not, but you'll never get him to admit it. Ever. He'll die before those words slip his lips.

Thinks you look cute in anything you wear and at every time of the day, but then that one night he came home and you looked so downright adorable in your little apron hurrying over to greet him with a hot dinner steaming from the table: the scene is instantly seared into his mind. Couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards - this boy walked into so many telephone poles and random fences multiple times a day whenever the thought pops up. Had to pray extra hard multiple times at church that Sunday for the extremely sinful and devious thoughts he had. You, of course, remained clueless and honestly a bit scared that he was mad when his face turned that shade of red, but in the end nothing happened so everything was alright. From then on he absolutely insists on having you greet him at the door when he comes home like a good Christian wife would (apron is a huge plus) - would be so upset and throw a fit if you were still instead caught up finishing your homework. Pouting and stomping around and refusing to go upstairs until you came down. Threatening to pull you out of school till you take his hand and peck him on the cheek, which calms him down straight away no matter how foul his mood might be.

For Yuzuha and Hakkai parts, they 100% opt to keep their mouths shut about the questionable circumstances under which you ended up as a permanent resident of their house. Despite being heads over heels for you, never being able to wrench his thoughts off you, Taiju has never even breathed a word about you to them, though Yuzuha and Hakkai have definitely heard the rumors about the ruthless gang leader disappearing at odd times of the day and alternating coming back red-faced and soft, or more irritated and brutal. But they believed it was nothing more than just that - rumors. Not like they could ask Taiju about it anyway.

Right up till you came home with Taiju one day seemingly out of the blue that is. Before your arrival in their lives, the other two Shiba siblings believed that their oldest brother already lost his ability to smile or his ability to interact with literally anyone without it ending up as a beating. So the gentle, kind little smile he had pulling at his lips while holding your tiny hand in comparison almost scared the soul from Hakkai. Knew you had to be somewhere special to Taiju right from when they met you, with Taiju even outright forbidding you from shaking Hakkai's hand even though Yuzuha's was fine - they don't think they've seen Taiju being this protective ever. You brought about an air of peace that the siblings haven't had the chance to experience since their mother's passing, a tranquility where the three of them could actually live in relative harmony.

And despite Taiju's objections, you were good to them - cooking a portion for them whenever you could at the expense of yourself: stepping in when they got in trouble with Taiju, helping them with their school work, chores or whatever else they were stuck with, only to be left shaking in fear when Taiju confronts you about it. Basically being like a big sis to them. But in return, you earn the other Shiba siblings trust and loyalty, with Yuzuha and Hakkai taking care of you (mostly Yuzuha though, Taiju would wreck Hakkai if he even breathed wrong at you). Applying oilment to any bruises you might get from Taiju holding your arm too tightly, sneaking you your favourite snacks and tidbits when her older brother isn't watching, to anything that the blue-haired boy (remember, still not married) recoils from helping you with, Yuzuha would be instantly there to step in and help.

But she also takes advantage that you were a trump card against Taiju - subtly encouraging behaviour in you that she knew Taiju would like, teaching you how to cook his favourite dishes in just the right way, pulling you in whenever he starts to even remotely start malding. Don't get her wrong, Yuzuha really likes you a lot as a person, but you were just too kind, too naive and too useful not to play in her favour.

All in all, Taiju doesn't have to pretend to be a better person around you - your mere presence is usually enough to keep him calm and level-headed. From the moment you entered his life, you became his reason for living; he can't sleep, can't breathe without you there. No one, especially not Yuzuha or Hakkai, quite want to find out what the Taiju emerging on the other side would be like the moment his drug is cut off. And the Shiba siblings won't stop at anything to get you back to their big brother's side if it meant just another day of peace.

That link aside, I have a transcript planned for Mansion of the Deathly Mirror just like I did with Chelmey's Casebook and London Holiday, but I don't even have the full first chapter completed yet, so I'll have to catch up whenever I have the time and materials to do so. I haven't had the time to work on it in many months, but don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it and I WILL make a better, FULL version of the translation, as soon as I can get to it (but right now I'm kinda supposed to be preparing for my PhD defence hahahahaha).

Now for some ramblings related to the above-linked Reddit post. Long story short: we have chances of securing the game. But for that to happen, we need to be patient, and we need to be silent. If you ever find footage of the game on youtube or elsewhere, no matter what you do, leave the player alone.

Let them upload at their pace and gather the crumbs as they fall off the table, because asking for them to let you eat the whole cake has never worked in the past. By that I mean: asking someone who owns the game "hey can I see your cool shiny thing asap plz plz plz" will result in that person blocking you, no longer posting any footage or content related to that cool shiny thing, and possibly disappearing off the face of the entire internet forever. I am neither joking, nor exaggerating.

I'm not talking that much about MotDM because we don't want to get too much attention drawn to it for the time being. But don't worry, if this game ever is found (and we have a whole team searching for it, we're just secretive on purpose -- for the reasons I mentioned here and for those that are explained in more detail in the Reddit post), we WILL make sure that the fandom knows about it. It's mostly just that right now, the only person we know who has the game and is somewhat willing to make a playthrough does not want any unwanted attention, and this person is not a friend of ours. They will stop uploading if people ask for them to upload faster, and they already threatened once to delete all their videos when someone asked them if they could "share the ROM." (No. No they won't. And even if they were willing to, we can't even make anything out of a ROM yet because of the hardware being stupidly complicated anyway.)

I mean -- we can't do anything until the one (1) person who owns the game decides to upload more footage of it. Given how desperately lost this game is, we should actually be happy we get to have anything at all, even if even NWoS might come out before it.

[EDIT] Needless to say, the player who is sharing some gameplay footage does NOT know that I have a website with the beginning of a fan-translation, and if they learn even so little that it exists, they are going to have a heart attack and will likely delete their entire playthrough. And nobody wants that.

I personally won't celebrate and heave a real breath of relief before footage of the full game from start to finish with as much content as possible is secured, which is why I don't talk about it a lot. I'm just paranoid that something might go wrong like it already has multiple times in the past hahaha

Gender and Warhammer 40,000

Look I’m sorry. It’s been a long time since I’ve played 40K but I still find the setting really interesting and also I have *opinions* (also I’m thinking it could be fun to play some Dark Heresy).

Dudes who play 40K love to point out that there can’t be any space marine women (they say female space marines) because of how you can only have like eight livers and two hearts if you’ve got XY chromosomes or something. Anyway it’s really difficult reading about this stuff because every post about it has this energy.

So why aren’t there space marine women? There were, back in 1st edition, this post from Bell of Lost Souls includes two models that were released of space marine women and talks about how retailers asked GW to stop sending them because they couldn’t sell them to their players, who in the 80′s were mostly men. As far as I can tell the stuff about only men being able to survive the space marine making process because of some chromosome rubbish was just post-facto justification for discontinuing those models.

Which is a shame because there’s a better justification. Someone on Twitter was pointing out that they’re basically children kidnapped by the Fascist empire and turned into supersoldiers. Of course the Catholic Fascist space Empire isn’t making space marine women. I think it’s pretty clear that the space marines were initially intended as a pastiche of Thatcherite militarism, just like Judge Dredd. In the Rogue Trader they’re depicted as thuggish, inhuman instruments of the state.

I also feel like there’s something about English boys’ public schools going on here. I’m not from the UK so I’m not sure I can quite make sense of it but there was a decision made to have the punk hive-ganger’s butt be really prominent in the image.

There aren’t women space marines for the same reason there weren’t women in the Sturmabteilung. Military organisations in Fascist states serve a double purpose, they don’t just fight, they also serve as propaganda. It’s clear from most 40K imagery and fiction that the image of the space marine is meant to communicate the strength of the Imperium. Imperial propaganda calls the Imperial Guard “the anvil” and the Adeptus Astartes “the hammer” in an empire that seems fixated on hammers, in a game that is largely about hammers (it’s called Warhammer).

But here’s the interesting bit, the image of the space marine *also* communicates the Imperium’s ideas about the role of men. The figure of the space marine represents the glorification of toxic masculinity, not just because it depicts men as warriors and protectors who are inherently violent, but also because these are men who are utterly disposable and who’s subjectivity and individualism have been completely erased for the sole purpose of making war. The primary role of a space marine apothecary isn’t to heal wounded marines, it’s to ensure that their gene-seed is harvested at the point of death so they can make more marines. It doesn’t matter that space marines die, only that hyper-masculine bodies can continue to make war.

I can imagine some Imperial Guard recruitment poster with a picture of a space marine saying “They put their bodies on the line to protect the Imperium, and you should too! Join the Imperial Guard!”

But, if we’re going to talk about what ideas the Imperium wants to engender about women, we need to talk about everyone’s favourite nuns with guns.

Okay that image probably doesn’t communicate what I’m trying to say but I had to include it, here’s Saint Celestine.

So the Adepta Sororitas, actualy first here’s a Reddit post with an extract from a Rogue Trader scenario including a chapter of space marine women called The Little Sisters of Purification (you know they’re carrying a lot of flamers). This is interesting because while Astartes are technically supposed to be monastic, their imagery (with the exception of the Dark Angels, and in that case the major theme is HERESY) rarely leans on that aspect. From the start, the Imperium’s women warriors have been explicitly coded as nuns.

The themes that come through with the sisters of battle are things like purity, innocence, piety, faith, martyrdom. They have a propaganda role, like the space marines do, but it’s a different message. While the Astartes’ singular military role communicates the idea that men are only good for violence, the Sororitas fill a bunch of different roles, the order hospitaller provides medical aid to Imperial citizens, the order dialogous are diplomats, and the order famulous are scholars. This communicates that the role of women in Imperial society is more diverse, and less dispensable, an idea that’s probably reinforced by the various orders’ integration into Imperial society. Sisters would be a much more familiar sight to Imperial citizens than marines, who are largely aloof on their fortress-monasteries. It’s likely that most Imperial citizens would be much more shocked by the idea of the nurse-nun they go to see every few months being killed than some armoured super-human with no personality other than anger who they’ve never met.

And that’s where the idea of martyrdom comes in. Toxic masculinity says that women must be protected, by men, because they’re not dispensable in the way men are. The Emperor, in all his masculine wisdom, will not countenance women to be killed in his grimdark future of only war, so Sisters of Battle aren’t killed, they’re martyred, and often when they are He brings them back in the form of living saints (See Saint Celestine, above). There are no resurrected space marines because the Imperium treats men’s bodies as expendable, and women’s bodies as sacred.

And then there’s the whole purity and innocence thing. Sosoritas are obedient to the one man in their life (Him on the Golden Throne). They take vows of chastity, they spend most of their time in prayer, they’re probably the faction in the game with the most number of abilities based around faith, piety and purity (I didn’t count or anything, but I think it’s a safe assumption). They play a propaganda role to demonstrate to Imperial citizens what a woman should be like, and also how men should enlist to protect them.

So when I see people modding their space marine armies to include women space marines I end up in two minds. On the one hand it makes me happy because it’s clear that it’s going to upset guys who are invested in the idea that women are inherently weak, but at the same time I worry that they’ve missed the bit where this is a sexist Fascist Empire and maybe they’re thinking the space marines are the good guys.

On the other hand, often when this topic comes up, people mention that the records of two of the 20 primarchs are expunged from all records. I kind of like the idea that while the Imperium still keeps records of the traitor primarchs, it’s the idea that there were two women primarchs that’s so horrific to the Imperium’s scribes that they had to destroy all records of them.

Rossy got fired from stardom??????????

LMAOOOO I was just about to post "lmao Rossy got fired" and then I saw this yeah apparently he got fired after the show last night. I never got around to writing that post about the management issues so I guess I'l try and summarize some relevant points before people panic

Okay so Rossy was off of booking since some time last year. We don't know for sure but my guess is that All Star Grand Queendom was his last show as booker, based on the belt going to Tam apparently being his decision and the timing of when stuff started to fall apart very shortly after that.

He was highly critical of the last president (who had been booking) once that guy got fired - and the issues with him were more than just booking. This was the stuff Giulia talked about. Like the schedule he booked was way too grueling on the wrestlers with non-stop big matches & shows back to back to back, and he would book matches just out of the blue without paying any attention to the stories the wrestlers were trying to tell, where Rossy's style was to just let the wrestlers throw out story threads themselves and then book what he thought would sell out of what they wanted to do. He also just was an idiot and didn't seem to think particularly highly of wrestling in the first place, pushing tons and tons of product tie-ins and advertising shit and the fucking NFT shit and. Yeah he sucked

However despite being highly critical of the last guy once he was gone, Rossy also said he didn't comment on the decisions he was making. He also may have been the one who decided who won or lost in the period before the new president came in, but from what's been made public at least, as soon as he came in he took over, so Stardom since whenever that was like the start of December has been the new president in charge.

So what I'm trying to say is, at least creatively, this probably isn't actually a huge change for Stardom compared to the past roughly a year of the product. People freaking out that the booker is just suddenly gone, he apparently hasn't been the booker for a while already now anyway. If you didn't notice a change in booking twice last year you probably won't notice this either.

So, yeah, Rossy did get fired. Bye bitch, it would be nice if this meant Sonny is on the way out too. Rossy is absolutely fucking not the guy who saved joshi wrestling or whatever the fuck narrative he & a lot of western wrestling media have been trying to present him as for years now. This probably isn't going to lead to a massive shift in Stardom's booking compared to what it's already been for months, and just as a fan we have no way of knowing what else this is going to impact, because it's hard to tell how much influence he even had for the past year, which was admittedly bad but more recently imo showing signs of turning around.

I think it's worth pointing out that one of the things that drove me off of both Reddit and Twitter wrestling fandom is that whenever shit like this happens everybody's gotta be a fucking insider or whatever and we don't. Know. Anything. But further than that it's not our fucking problem. We don't work for Bushiroad and we don't know anybody involved. We don't NEED to worry about what this means for The Business or whatever the fuck because that doesn't matter to us. I care about the roster being treated well and the product being one I am enjoying, and Rossy already couldn't prevent both of those things from not happening last year, so obviously he's not gonna be the difference maker.

My concern if I have one though is mostly the roster. If people are loyal enough to him to start jumping ship that would really suck. If the rumours that are already going around that he was poaching people for a potential NXT Japan pan out in any way that would REALLY suck. Even if the entire roster went I'm not going to watch a WWE product or even a show that isn't women in every match. So I guess as ever all we can do is wait and see.

A SLIGHTLY DISJOINTED LIST OF WRITING TIPS

hey peeps 😌 a whole zero people asked or showed interest and true to my style I'm posting anyway lmao :) this is a collection of writing tips I remind myself of all the time! some are from online (mostly reddit), some are from writing workshops and classes i've taken, some are just commonly traded around by famous writers and some come from my own experience! i've been writing for 15 years, since i was a literal child, and i think it's safe to say i've learned a lot since i wrote 15 pages of what i was absolutely sure would be my debut novel "The Ratticator" when i was, like, 6. so i think ik what i'm talking about 😎 without further ado, here is the list!! it isn't very organised, for which i do apologize :')

If you have writer’s block, change your document font to Comic Sans. No idea why this works, but it’s a known tip and it really does!

DO NOT edit as you go. If you just can’t seem to stop yourself, set your document to Wingdings. This is especially helpful in your first draft. I personally call my first draft document WORST VERSION JUST PURE GARBAGE or some variation to take the pressure off.

Treat all writing as practice. It’s better to write pages and pages of pure garbage than to be too paralysed by fear of failure and not write at all as a result. At least with garbage you can edit it, see what issues you have with your writing, etc.

If you struggle with editing, try writing everything longhand on paper or printing out a particularly hard chapter (double spaced so you can annotate it) and rewrite it. Also, run your work through text-to-speech to catch typos or little errors you might otherwise overlook!

Google “filter words and how to avoid them”, especially if you write in first person. Focus on showing and not telling, and be wary of using too many adverbs (I’m so guilty of this) and verbs after dialogue. Also avoid epithets! By all means necessary! For example; “the short haired man”, “the brunette”, “the [job title]”. These are common in fanfiction but do not sound good or flow well. They’re often used by novice writers. (I’m guilty of this too! Again, these kinds of things take practice).

If you’re struggling to plot, it can help to write “draft zero”, in which you write out chapters in the least words possible without needing it to sound good. This can give you a skeleton to fill out. You also don’t have to write chronologically; write the fun scenes first or whatever scenes you already have in your head out and build around those!

Speak your dialogue out loud. If it doesn’t flow well, it doesn’t read well either.

Similarly, come back to a chapter / work after a minimum of a day has passed. Looking at it with fresh eyes after a break away can help immensely with weeding out awkward parts, errors or parts you’d like to change.

“Said” is not a bad word; don’t go to insane lengths to avoid it!

Not every piece of dialogue needs a tag; trying to add one to everything without having dialogue by itself makes writing clunky.

For both dialogue and inner monologue, have your characters miss the mark just slightly on what they're trying to say. In reality none of us express ourselves perfectly off the cuff, and you can even communicate a lot about a person through what they omit or avert or misread. (from u/frozenfountain on Reddit)

Usually when people talk, they’re not just talking. What facial expressions are they making? What are they doing with their bodies? Are they just ‘saying’ something or are they stuttering, shouting, or whispering (don’t go overboard with this kinda description, though). You also don’t always have to specify who is speaking; you can establish the people initially and, especially if they speak in distinct ways, it should be clear. Also, learn correct grammar for dialogue. A new speaker should be on a new line.

Vary sentence structure. This is probably the main cause of people feeling that their writing feels "off." A lot of people try to solve repetitive sentence structure with epithets or with unnecessary synonyms, but it only masks the problem, it doesn't solve it.

For example:

"What's going on?" said Bob.

"I don't know. Jill just stormed out of here," said Abigail.

"That's weird. She seemed fine this morning," said Bob.

"I think the stress is finally starting to get to her," said Abigail.

It's boring, right? How NOT to improve it:

"What's going on?" said Bob.

"I don't know. Jill just stormed out of here," said the blue-eyed woman.

"That's weird. She seemed fine this morning," pondered the older man.

"I think the stress is finally starting to get to her," surmised the greenette.

Instead maybe something like:

Bob looked around at the confused faces in the room. "What's going on?"

"I don't know," said Abigail, fidgeting with her necklace. "Jill just stormed out of here."

"That's weird. She seemed fine this morning."

Abigail shrugged. "I think the stress is finally getting to her."

The other problem I see: unless you understand what third person omniscient is and are using it intentionally, it's probably best to pick just one point of view per scene and stick to it. (u/DemyxDancer on Reddit)

Don’t focus on stuff your character wouldn’t just to fill a word count.

Try not to use the same word twice in a paragraph unless they’re connecting words or names/pronouns. At the same time, try not to overuse the thesaurus and use a million synonyms for something - find different ways to describe things.

Write as though there is no formatting available to you. Adding bold or caps or images or footnotes is cool, but the story should be understood exactly the same without them. This is also an accessibility consideration, since screen readers will miss this extra context if it’s purely visible.

Localised spell check! I use British spell check on Google Docs because I am British but sometimes accidentally use the American versions of words. This can also be immensely helpful if you’re writing dialects / a different form of English than what you’re used to.

Let go of perfectionism before it kills writing for you. Coraline took Neil Gaiman over a decade to write. Ursula K Le Guin banged out three Earthsea books in 4 years before taking a 12 year break between the third and fourth books in which she took a big interest in feminism and entirely changed the way she wrote female characters. Nothing is going to be perfect initially, and expecting it to be so dooms you before you can start.

Paragraphs!! Punctuation!! So many times I have clicked on a promising looking fanfiction but backed out because I couldn’t read it properly - commas, semicolons and hyphens (and em dashes!) are your friends :)

If possible, shut out everything else during a designated time period and just write. I know this isn’t possible for everyone but should you be able to set a window and have a schedule you’ll find writer’s block to hit you less!

Starting with a lot of exposition can be boring. Short, snappy first lines and/or coming right into the action at the beginning can help hook the reader better. Or alternatively, have a prologue if there’s important exposition that needs to be established at the start!

Writing is inherently hard, even for well established writers. Accepting that will help you more than you’d expect.

Read as much as you write, if not more! Reading makes writing a lot easier. A lot of writing is being inspired by other writers. NOT copying, or plagiarising, but drawing inspiration from them. For example (as we spoke about a couple of days ago), my lovely mutual Livvie @greenlivvie has a colder, more direct and more formal writing style as a lot of what she reads is nonfiction, whereas I read so many gooey romance webtoons and poetry anthologies that my style is extremely warm, probably too descriptive, and rather poetic.

Find the joy in writing! I know engagement is extremely important, especially in fanfiction, but if it’s your only drive you’re destined to burn out. You should write first and foremost for the love of writing. That’s not to say you shouldn’t want engagement, however, and that readers should not give it (PLEASE readers, learn that likes on Tumblr are absolutely useless compared to on other platforms and start reblogging, tagging, and commenting! Here are some relaged posts with creators expressing their frustrations (x) (x) (x) so you can understand WHY it matters so much to us. On AO3, comments mean the world!)

Bad writers tend to think they are amazing and infallible, while good writers tend to think they are terrible. It’s about not letting that self doubt stop you from creating entirely! Also, if possible, find someone to beta your work and give their concrit, especially if you find yourself hating your work but not knowing why.

“Abandon the idea that you are ever going to finish. Lose track of the 400 pages and write just one page for each day. It helps.” - John Steinbeck

Write through the eyes of the character, not the lens of a camera (for third person).

“No matter how worried you are about that chapter, no matter how badly you think you botched something, do not tell your readers this, and if you can't help it, put your notes/concerns at the end of the chapter. If you tell a reader at the beginning of a chapter "this chapter is not my best", they will read it in a different light than if you had said nothing at all. If you're looking for feedback on the chapter, put your notes at the end. Let the reader read the chapter "fresh". They'll form their own thoughts and opinions, and then only after that, they'll read your comments/concerns/questions and are more likely to respond to them candidly, rather than having the chapter flavoured by worry or doubt. Don't write your scenes/chapters differently than you originally wanted just for the sake of ''censorship'' to be able to maybe target a larger/different audience! Always write stuff exactly the way you always imagine(d), no matter how dark, bloody, sexual, whatever it might be. A story that is deliberately ''pruned'' will never have the same significance an ''uncensored'' one has. And for characters, always remember the one tenet:

''It doesn't matter how small or unimportant a character might seem at first, they always should be interesting and compelling in their own right, not just be means for the purpose of another character.'' (from u/JokeyZockey on Reddit)

Always remember the five senses as you write

Note down ideas or lines you think of when you think of them. You will probably forget them otherwise. I am totally not talking from experience 😭

In writing fanfiction, you’re writing for free! No apologising for slow updates, no apologising for hiatuses, again Coraline took OVER A DECADE to be finished and published yet you feel bad for not pumping out work every day? Readers do not get to be entitled, they are consuming free content from you and that in itself is a privilege. Readers, please be mindful that we are regular ass people with school and work and other commitments, and also be mindful that if you do not interact with our work that’s only going to serve to motivate us even LESS.

Reward yourself! Wrote a chapter, or hit a word count goal, or finished a plot? Watch a film you like, or buy your favourite snack, or have a long ass bath with a bunch of shit from Lush that makes your house smell like a perfume shop for years afterwards. Rewarding ourselves pleases our primal little monkey brains and makes it a lot easier to get past writer’s block, knowing there’s something in it for us at the end.

AND FINALLY! Ignore everyone as much as you want to. You should be writing for fun, for yourself - hell if you wanna ignore these points that’s entirely your prerogative. People will tell you not to write certain tropes, or leave unnecessary criticism, or be demanding when they could totally just go write the fics themselves if they care that much. Write because you like to, and you will find your audience :)

Not posting this on my main blog for whatever reason-

Honestly one of the things I'm probably gonna hate about being an adult is being told I'm too "childish" for dolls. I have like fifteen of them at this point and I don't plan on stopping, but they're not like porcelain dolls or anything super collector- they're damn Monster High. More specifically 80% of my collection is g3, and I have 8 dolls of the same character. I don't post my dolls much on tiktok because of the fact people are gonna find ways to be rude as hell, and I rarely post them on Reddit because, well, it's Reddit. Usually I use my main blog to share them. Do I get traction? No, but I blame that mostly on how my display is so scattered and I haven't found a good way to take pictures of the dolls.

Anyways, yeah, I'll be called childish for the dolls, but I don't care. I'm already "childish" due to my autism, constantly babied by others. Hell these dolls have to do with my autism- one of the characters is a special interest. And it's like. Yeah, okay, call me childish, whatever. I don't really care anymore.

gets its own post bc i havent drawn more for them yet, but headcanon names/etc info for the unreleased wyrmclan leaders! i will most likely stick to these names when referring to them from now on..! some more rambling/explanations below

pls take everything i say here with a grain of salt bc i am NOT a history expert and i didnt want to follow irl history too closely anyway bc it IS a fictional adaptation of irl figures

as for the names i tried to go for popular figures in the sengoku period since most of the wyrmclan leaders are from that era (seimei and yoshitsune being the only exceptions):

uesugi kenshin, known as the "dragon of echigo" and takeda shingen's rival... shingen is known to be loved by both his fellow wyrmclan leaders and vassals but its quite clear that he has a bad relationship with/disapproves of kenshin so i thought he might be just really. obnoxious and unreasonable... kenshin is the only one with a confirmed name/zodiac animal but the reason i thought he was the blond one is bc apparently depictions of uesugi kenshin in fiction often use that headdress that he was known to wear... (read it in some reddit post) which meant blue haired boy is the dog wyrmclan leader, since the others are pretty self explanatory

azai nagamasa, oda nobunaga's brother-in-law and enemy. i don't have.. a big reason for giving rabbit leader this name but i did want to prioritize figures with connections to existing wyrmclan leaders.. i think she'd be generally quite unsociable and blunt but she's probably especially bothered by nobu's recklessness...

chosokabe motochika, i mostly picked this name for the sheep leader bc it notes that his father worried about his gentle nature as a child.... akjhjkag i think he'd be a true pacifist and maybe disapproves of ieyasu for preaching peace but choosing to fight

toyotomi hideyoshi, known for being the last unifier of japan alongside tokugawa ieyasu and oda nobunaga.. was also loyal to nobunaga and defeats mitsuhide for his betrayal. i thought snake leader looked really scheming like mitsuhide so i wanted them to be like one-sided rivals.. (mitsu does not care) and the mitsu -> nobu betrayal is an actual thing that happened in wyrmclan history and while mitsu and nobu disregard their family feuds, i thought itd be funny if hideyoshi was a char who didnt? like constantly bugging nobu to stop being so close to a traitor like mitsu lmao...

date masamune, the "one-eyed dragon of oshu" and commonly depicted with an eyepatch... it could've been anyone between rabbit/dog/snake leader but i chose dog leader bc he is apparently known for his black armour..??

i picked elements/weapons mostly based on the illust we got of them (e.g. masamune's blade is already visible) but otherwise it's because i wanted all 9 weapon types to be present amongst the wyrmclan leaders! i think that's all i have to say for now but i do want to keep drawing them

Omg, really that guy again!?, when you recommended that fic "Everybody leaves eventually" he putted a comment, wtf.

I tried, right. Didn't ever pay attention to this guy, never responded to his numerous replies, reblogs, asks, or mentions to me, trying to debunk or "debate" me. I only ever mention anything of him outright when he initially made that GameFAQs thread about me (which has since been deleted, funny that) and when he was actively gloating about harassing two people off of tumblr - one of those people happening to be a friend of mine.

I've been debating back and forth about whether to block him or not - I know it's gonna do jack and shit, considering his whole schtick is how effectively he manages to slime his way around blocks anyway, and blocking him would be giving him any attention more than what I was doing before. Plus I've literally never blocked anyone before, on Tumblr or anywhere else, so I have no idea if it'd even hypothetically work even if this guy wasn't known for evading them. And I thought, since he'd finally stopped incessantly trying to get me to engage with him, that maybe he finally took a chill pill and finally learned to stay in his lane.

But now I'm saying fuck it. I finally blocked R/axis - and that R/engor guy too, since I know they're buddy-buddy.

I made a post about 17 hours ago, 5:44 PM CST, that was mostly me recommending fics that I liked and thought deserved a bit more attention. R/axis, barely 20 fucking minutes later, leaves a comment:

He's not even subtle about how he came to the fic from coming from my post recommending it. And here he is, trying to fucking "um achktually" and debate someone who, for all I know, has literally nothing to do with anything regarding discourse. This fic doesn't even have 1000 hits, is tagged "Villain Edelgard von Hresvelg" and "this is very Edelgard negative" so you know from the gate that Edelgard isn't gonna get sugar shoved up her ass like the fandom is overwhelmingly eager to do in 99% of the fics she's in anyway, has no claims of trying to be ~meta~ like Cap'n's does, but lo and fucking behold, here this fucker is, probably thinking he's *~casting his pearls before the swine~* when in reality it's more like him shitting on the floor.

Since I know you're just going to evade my block of you, R/axis, and you're definitely going to read this somehow - maybe you'll have one of your buds screenshot this and send it to you, maybe you have another browser open on another account that isn't blocked by me - here's a heads up: don't fucking do this. Or, I guess I should say stop fucking doing this.

This fic has Hubert leaving Edelgard under any circumstances - the author fucking knows what they're writing isn't exactly a 1-to-1 match to canon. They do not need - and almost certainly do not want - you sticking your head through their door with your finger up and ready to wag at them for not being in-line with canon. This person has no influence in the fandom from what I can see, their fic is barely talked about or even known at all, and they make no attempts at saying that this is their genuine view on the game (and in fact straight up say in their comments that this is just what they wanted to see from these characters, which obviously means they know what they're writing isn't in these characters).

They don't want to debate you R/axis. No one wants to debate you R/axis. Shut the fuck up already.

And to the author of the fic: in the slightest chance that you ever read this, I'm sorry that I'd gotten some asshole stinking up your comment section. I never encourage people to leave unkind or otherwise "debatey" comments on any works, even ones I don't like, and I'm sorry that my recommending your fic did just that. Your fic is a really interesting AU idea and just a joy to read through, and it doesn't deserve some Reddit dick trying to "prove you wrong" about a damn-near two-year-old fic. Hope you're having a great day

I, maybe, need a good reminder of all of my accomplishments, so here we go. Everything I've accomplished this year so far. That I remember, anyway.

Threw together my HP Astro series; edited and formatted and posted to AO3 in time for Bethy's birthday!

Got White Lies & Silver Bells ready to go live on AO3 as soon as Hoggywartyxmas reveals were up!

Wrote Again (and Again) on a whim, to accompany A-Loveunlaced's Snarry art

Wrote a BUNCH of random drabbles for a House of Snarry challenge. 6 of which I also posted to AO3! (A handful of which I have not yet.)

Wrote 5 fics for Kinkuary! 2 of which are in the same universe as Contempt. 2 of which are not yet posted (waiting for the 27th and 28th!) 1 of which (the longest of which) I wrote, edited, and posted same day! The day after I had a tooth extraction.

Wrote 3 fics for Chan Fest! All of which I wrote, edited, and posted same day. 2 of which are 5k+ words!

Started compiling resources I need to begin book binding! Still a ways off before I can start cuz supplies are not cheap, but I'm on the right path!

Oh yeah and started being a teensy bit more sociable at work! I had a nice long conversation about ASTROLOGY the other day which was fun and great and awesome.

Oh let's not forget about all my work accomplishments! I made 8 years with my company. All the people coming and going (which I get to deal with.) Our census going way up. Many IT calls and playing IT person for small tech problems. Many errands run. Oh yeah and all the new tasks I get to do because our funder and our corporate office BOTH love changing expectations frequently.

So like...there's stuff I wish I could do and haven't been able to yet. But I'm far from a failure! Or lazy, for that matter. I am a lady of ACCOMPLISHMENT.
