Honestly I think what is more upsetting about these results is just how many people thought it was going to be more even than it was. I fell for it too! The sneak peek looked so close, the half time report even closer, but then...

...it kinda stings, y'know? It shouldn't have been like that. All the games I played, it felt even. I played just as much against Big Man, I thought. It definitely didn't feel like we were such a small cohort. It didn't feel like there were 55% Shiver. It felt genuinely equal and to find out it was nowhere near is soul-crushing.

Personally, I think Jonathan's best moment in Smallville is when he beats up Lionel and almost chokes him out, but that's just me.

This is not a new or unique thought, but the existence of carrds throws me for a loop every single day. I’m a person who grew up in the early internet days where we were constantly (RIGHTLY!) told not to share our personal info with strangers, and now I can spend 2 seconds on a stranger’s profile and find out their name and age and pronouns and location and disabilities and kinks and triggers and who knows what else Y’ALL. STOP THAT. That shouldn’t be normal!!

Like I’m now comfortable saying I’m in my 30s pretty openly but that’s just about all the personal information I’ll share on my profile. No stranger on here who just happens to head to my blog is entitled to any other information about me! And that should be the norm!

My favorite interaction with an Eve stan has to be with this one guy I met back when I was in tdt who always said that the only canon MVs were the ones that had Hitotsume in them and if he wasn’t there then it didn’t count as canon which annoyed me so I told them that if we followed that logic then Hakugin is canon bc Hitotsume appears in it and that made them so mad they never spoke to me again

we as a society need to finally sit down and actually have a conversation about veganism / vegetarianism because, while conservatives / republicans obviously hate it because it's good for the environment, i have also seen a lot of pick me "leftists" shitting on veganism just as much with their only argument being that they find vegans annoying. like can y'all not tell how reactionary you sound with that shit.

and i'm aware that veganism in practice is often still not ethical, since certain substitutes for meat / protein are also obtained from unethical sources. but it's still a LOT (emphasis on A LOT!!!!) better for the environment ESPECIALLY if you make the effort to buy local, which a lot of people are vocal about but few people actually commit to.

and honestly, even if you buy meat from local farms, that's still way more environmentally friendly (and better for your body and mind, if that's a priority for you) than getting a burger at a fast food restaurant. i have absolutely no qualms with people who call themselves vegan or vegetarian but eat meat once in a while from local farms.

but it does piss me off when i see people framing vegans (and by extension, veganism) as annoying. yes im AWARE that some of them may be a bit of a drag, and they might miss some social cues that you're used to people catching on to, but most vegans have their hearts in the right place and are actually living a much more sustainable lifestyle than if they were to eat meat. i just wish people would keep this in mind before joking once again "vegans are so annoying ha ha ha" it really makes you sound conservative as fuck.

I know that DILF!Billy hates/scared/generally avoids kids (and it's pretty dangerous to leave him with them, we all know), that's fair enough, but... Let's suppose that in one BEAUTIFUL day a wild 14 year old homeless kiddo wanders into his attic or basement, maybe escaping from an orphanage or hiding from the cops after stealing food from the store or it's just a idk freeze outside. And Billy of course has chased them away in every way possible, but this little devil keeps finding way back (because they like to annoy him and steal his stuff) and even dares to hang out with Billy's cats!

And I wonders... What are the chances that they would have become like... Half enemy half friends? Is that even possible? Or nah, that's some pink dreams? I'm by no means talking about any parental relationship or anything like that, ahah, fuck no, never, BUT specifically... Um... About little random communications of two inherently similar strange creatures, just one damn young and wild and other damn old and... Well... "The Billy".

Maria you can't do this to me. You just can't. I'm such a sucker for found family, but especially like when the accidental caretakers of the younger members are criminals/fucked up/not really suited to take care of them but they only have each other in this godforsaken world (the members of gorillaz+ noodle but ESPECIALLY Noodle and Murdoc, Eda and Luz from the owl house, the cast of cowboy bebop and ed (yes they are family in my eyes!!!) etc, etc)

So uh, my mind says it would never work, but my heart... but my heart says "found family <3333" so uh... I actually think that if the child was stubborn enough to stick with Billy, they would actually develop a pseudo father-child relationship. Like it would take some time don't get me wrong , and the relationship would be far from perfect and always fractured (think Murdoc and Noodle from gorillaz if you're familiar with them, except Billy is not an alcoholic lmao ), but yeah there could be some room for genuine "paternal" care and love. Though it would take some time for Billy to be okay with the child, because fourteen is the exact same age Agnes was when she ran away from him so uh... trauma. Even more so if Billy finds them in the basement...

But yeah, a strange sort of on-and-off kinda parent child relationship is likely to develop. This might not have been what you were asking for but oh well i got soft thinking about "actual dad" Dilf Billy. I will say it would be the best for the child to have some other influences other than the crazy, nasty old creep that lives on the edge of the forest lmao. And it would be best for Billy to have someone else take care of the kid every once in a while lol. But the fact that Billy wouldn't have to take care of them as like a baby would also mean their relationship could be an emotionally warmer one because the child's self sufficiency wouldn't burden Billy as much. Also, when Billy stops seeing them as a version of Agnes he would be like "14??? that's almost like a smaller, dumber adult I can kick back, relax and share a beer with" (Billy NO-)

Char Bingo - Ran?

I want to like her so bad, and in a lot of ways I do. BUT, from what little I've seen of the show overall, she's the one who's gotten the least character development of the main three. Even Richard has changed more than she has, because every major change she should've had gets dialed back. (Finding out Conan is Jimmy being the biggest, most obvious one.)

Rachel is such a cool character that deserves so, so much better. I'm definitely one of those people that rolls my eyes whenever she's reduced to standing off to the side and wishing Jimmy was here. Peak Rachel, to me, is that moment in one of the movies when she's being held at gunpoint, thinks through if she's fast enough to dodge a bullet, decides she is, and then just does it. Or when she donates blood in Desperate Revival. I like it when she gets to be confident on her own merits to protect the people she cares about, without thinking about Jimmy all the time.

Of course it makes sense for her to worry about him, but to a point, after all this time, all these lies and all of Jimmy blowing her off, her relationship and feelings towards Jimmy at least deserve to change. Not just always be stuck in the same place.

Sidenote: One of my friends and I were talking about how Rachel and Richard are exactly alike, and they said "Jimmy is Rachel's Yoko Okino," and my life has never been the same since

So I watched Call Me By Your Name last night and it was not good and also bad. Absolutely hated that Elio was basically cheating on Marzia and using her for sex only to abandon her so casually later on. And then she’s just okay with that?? Also why the hell were his parents trying to matchmake him with a grown ass man? 🤨 Like I’m glad they were supportive of him being gay but Elio is a minor and Oliver looks like 30? Also the dialogue was really vague. I find it really hard to believe that they were in love when they never had any meaningful conversations. Literally this is a real conversation they had: “what things?” “I think you know what things” “are you saying what I think you’re saying” like what??
