[Corvid snaps awake, still feeling the echo of the pressure on his chest from his dream, and still feeling the panic of something just out of view.

He spends a few seconds staring at the wall before him before he turns the other way, scooting back until his shoulder bumps the baseboard. And... from this angle, the light from the window above him lands just right to watch a few of Laris’s marks dance in their sleep.

The healer has mostly curled up under their blanket, but they tend to keep something on the back of their right hand, which is laying palm-down beside their head.

There’s a couple dancing across the back of their hand, hair and skirt trailing out into stylized flowers behind them.

He can’t quiet see their face, with how they’re curled around a spare pillow, but... he would imagine they’re having a nice dream.

He’s glad someone is.

He’s glad Laris is.

• and even though you’re supposed to be studying what you’re really doing is drawing pictures in one of the library’s resource books

• stick figures of you and mingyu • the caption is probably something like • “skool sucks lolololol” • “kim mingyu smells” • “if ur reading this u r a loser” • you’re just a harmless troll really • bUT • this particular day when you two are hanging out in the library, mingyu suddenly slams your book closed • and you turn around to give him a piece of your mind bc what the heck mingyu who does that • until you see jeon wonwoo • aka the librarians assistant • aka the silent brooding type • aka one of the most handsome people on campus • with his oversized sweater and his large glasses that always slip off of his nose • he is really is handsome • too bad he’s so boring !!!! • ur convinced he went to some special librarian school where they sucked the fun out of him and made him into this super quiet boy who only makes an appearance when a book is being abused • you’re not here for it tbh • uNfOrtUnateLY wonwoo is mingyu’s other best friend so you two sorta kind of know each other • and he hates you so much lol • he KNOWS you are the one writing in his precious books but unless he catches you in the act he can’t technically prove it • BACK TO THE STORY • so wonwoo comes over and he’s shooting daggers at u like • “u just wrote in that book” • bc u were never one to back down from a fight you’re like • “maybe i did. maybe i didn’t. what you gonna do abt it????” • he does this semi cute huff and just frowns as he takes the book out of ur hands • “you wrote mingyu smells i know it’s you.” • cue mingyu: “i don’t smell!” • you try to tug the book back bc he can’t prove anything without it • “give me back the encyclopedia!!!!” • “lolololololololol no” • “wow i hate you” • “h8 u 2 m8” • this is basically how you two react on a daily basis • UNTIL ONE NIGHT • so mingyu had been cramming for exams and when he does this he kinda goes into Hibernating Bear Mode™ except instead of sleeping he does nothing but study • and the two of you had planned to watch neflix this particular night just to kind of distract yourselves from exams and whatever • but mingyu is nowhere to be found • and you check EVERYWHERE • you check his favorite coffee shop, the park he studies at, the gym he goes to when he’s stressed, the canteen, his dorm… you even called the 97 liners like “where tf is mingyu we have a marathon of bob’s burgers to watch” • and no one knows • but minghao gives you the best hint you can use at the moment “did you ask wonwoo?” • no way,,, there is no way u r gonna swallow ur pride and ask that … bookworm … to help u find mingyu • but thinking of wonwoo makes you think of the library, so you head on over hoping he had just fallen asleep and the security guard missed him • because at this point it’s reaching midnight and u aren’t even supposed to be out of bed,, let alone the campus library like come on • anyway the library isn’t open but you find a cracked window in the back to slide through • “mingyu!” you start whispering for your friend, hoping the security guard isn’t roaming the halls • you head over to the study second w all the tables and stuff • and lo and behold,,, mingyu isn’t there but instead it’s wonwoo • nd he’s just lazily walking thru the library w a squeaky cart, placing books back in their proper places • he’s tired, and in the dark you can see him cover his yawn with a sweater paw • ur heart does a lil somersault but like,,, u would never admit that bc you can’t find a dork attractive • esp not wonwoo, who is rumored to date books • you started that rumor but tbh you don’t doubt it • wonwoo finally catches you peaking around the corner and lets out a scream of terror bc he thought you were some kind of ancient book demon or smth • “wHaT tHe heCK!!!!!!” • you fall on the floor dYing bc his reaction was so funny • he looked like a startled deer tbh • “that was hilarious” you’re still giggling • and despite his absolute Hatred™ for you,, wonwoo finds himself blushing bc of how carefree you are in the moment • so … he gets kinda quiet and tries to become brooding again because that’s his Brand around here and there’s no way you’re going to break it with a simple giggle • at least… you aren’t going to know you did • “what do u want?” • after u sober up it gets kinda serious bc you’re still rlly worried for mingyu “is mingyu here? i can’t find him?” • “mingyu? i haven’t seen him.” • you let out a distressed sigh bc mingyu is a scatterbrain and he genuinely could’ve gotten lost around campus or smth •you sigh in distress: “he was supposed to come to my dorm a few hours ago and i can’t find him. ive looked everywhere.” • and as you speak wonwoo is suddenly,,, really disappointed,,, but he doesn’t know why,,, • “oh really? i didn’t know you two were dating…” nd he just kind of kicks himself mentally bc why wouldn’t you date mingyu honestly? • he’s handsome, he’s buff, he’s a great cook… wonwoo should’ve seen it coming tbh • but then you crinkle your nose like “dating? ew! i’d rather date you than mingyu and that’s saying something.” • even tho it was an insult and he’s slightly offended, wonwoo still felt a bit of hope blooming in his chest that for some reason just got bigger whenever you smiled at him • he also was blushing pretty dang hard but we aren’t going to talk abt that • anyway back to the topic at hand • wonwoo scratches the back of his neck and nervously suggests looking together. “we can try the kitchen if you haven’t looked there.” • “the what?” • “the kitchen. yknow, mingyu goes there every once and awhile to make food and wind down. he’s got a key and stuff so i don’t think the cooks mind him doing it.” • this is all very new information to you • but it’s the best bet so you agree. • you let wonwoo come with you because you don’t know the way • and also he’s rlly cute and kinda nice when he’s not yelling at you for an overdue book • but you would never tell him that ofc • as you both walk over there • nd it’s sort of awkward so you try to start a conversation • “isn’t the library closed? why were you stocking books?” • wonwoo smiled embarrassingly, “well i was actually just pretending to stock books. you see, there was a new shipment of books coming in and i wanted first pick of all the good ones before anyone else got to them.” • you giggle. bc,,, of course he would • “so you don’t mind breaking the rules, as long as it’s for books.” • “yeah and you always go against books which is why i can’t be associated with you.” • “well it gets boring in the library,” you whined. “can’t there be legos or coloring books to play with when students want to wind down but don’t want to read?” • “what are you, five? alskdjnsjklnljkls tysm!!!! yeah sure ill share some headcanons. i did a post on a similar topic about a month ago but that’s more their individual personalities/aesthetics than actual relationship material so ill go ahead and add on some stuff here.

i should note that portions of this are based heavily off of the idea that they grew up together so prepare for some au territory at this point. my backstory for them is becoming so intricate jfc;;;;;; i really hope ur not disappointed with this answer i have like an entire pre-forces narrative planned out in my head at this point OTL if u were hoping for more general stuff just lemme know i can give you some more hcs for that (there’s already some but there’s also Backstory stuff that i can’t really explore through oneshot format)

there’s a lot of like. casual touch. lotsa hugs and leaning on each other and resting their chin on the other’s shoulder (or top of head depending on who’s who bc height difference) while looking over them at what they’re doing and its really rooted in their learning early on how much Gadget loves that sweet sweet Physical Contact (if u scratch behind his ears he will melt, guaranteed, you’ll have yourself a Boneless Gadget with a two-liter coke)

if it’s raining out gadget will insist on doing something that’s not just sitting inside all day but snugglin w/ infinite ends up tempting him into doing Exactly That lol

there’s a lot of companionable silence between them when it’s just Them Alone in a Room. sure they talk and chat and joke but there are so many times where it’s just,,, being Together,,, and enjoying being in the other’s presence as they each do their own thing

sorta going into childhood/backstory stuff but uhhhh:

starting freshman year of highschool they started just bein each other’s dates to school dances even though they were “just friends” for like half of that timespan . i love cheesy stuff like that im sorry bro i had to include that tidbit i know it’s super specific and particular to my own backstory for them but just, they’re best buds and they gonna have a good time at homecoming lol

please imagine: those cute pre-dance pictures that parents take at the stairwell or front porch or somethin right before their kids leave, but with gadget and infinite. gadget’s got braces and they dont really fit in his mouth and his lenses reflect the light in the photo and oops infinite blinked and his shirt is too big and tbh their suits in gen just don’t really fit them right, gadget’s shirt is untucked and infinite’s tie is crooked but it’s okay, they’re both smilin reeeeaaaal big (and besides they figure out how to look Aesthetically Pleasing by junior year)

summers were hot in their hometown (note: i grew up in the north so i know nothing of True Heat, bear with me on this one.) most evenings were spent out on gadget’s fam’s back porch, cold towels resting on the backs of their necks, sweat in and under their fur, and they’re melting into the wood of the deck, fan plugged into that one weird outlet on the outside of the house that’s really more a fire hazard than anything else but the cool air is nice. they’re just lounging around reading comic books and listening to music on infinite’s old zune (lots of mid-2000s punk rock bands bc what else were u expecting) and in later years when they’re in that teen puppy love stage they’re trying to cuddle but it’s TOO DAMN HOT OUTSIDE so they resort to like, gentle hand holding, infinite reading some pretentious literary work or whatever and gadget spacing tf out next to him

when they graduate and are assigned a partner to walk down the aisle with they still end up w/ each other even though technically the partners are chosen according to alphabetical order and they’re on opposite ends of that list whOOPS how’d they do that? (hint: last minute shuffling in line)

when they move outta their small lil home town and into The Big City (im gonna say that would be Sunset Heights to tie in some canon plot relevance) they move in together and share a flat. a) its more financially manageable to just split housing costs like that and b) it’s been a dream their entire lives to live together when they’re older so oh!!! they’re older now!!!!! time to live together

(okay that’s all for backstory stuff back to reg hcs)

neither can cook but its ok

it may seem like they bicker a lot but it’s usually either the like, joke argue of “what do you mean craft mac n cheese is gross take that back” or reprimands like “it’s one a.m. time to sleep u Fool” (self-care is important, lads). they actually communicate really well so high-stakes arguments aren’t super common (and when they do happen they dont tend to explode. i wanted to have them be the type that argue for understanding and not to prove they’re right, so that greatly affects the outcomes of their disputes.)

infinite loves to hum while he’s doing things, or just in gen, and his voice is very low and smooth and gadget looooooves it, so much. they’ll be, i dunno, doing some mundane thing, like maybe they’re out getting groceries or doin dishes or something (i love me that domestic content) and he’ll start humming quietly and it just, it really grounds gadget in a way that sometimes he doesn’t even know he needs till infinite does it.

anyone here ever played bayonetta? any a yall remember those bits where there’s a woman in bayo’s memories singing and/or humming ‘fly me to the moon’ all quiet and low? think that but just,,,, pitched down,,,, yeah,,,

the tunes are usually very slow and while not so much melancholy theyre just? i dunno melodic in the same lax, smooth-tempo’d way a lot of melancholy songs are? i dunno i like quiet, introspective infinite and aesthetics that reflect that

here’s a long one: about a month before infinite “goes missing” and forces happens, infinite lands a job at a local news outlet as one of the column writers and even tho he’s more into prose than journalism he’s so fuckin pumped. it’s mostly just excitement over not doing cashier work and having a money-makin outlet he’s at least somewhat interested in lol …aaaaaand the way ship headcanon works into this bullet is that when he finds out that he landed the job he so excited that when gadget walks into the room (it’s morning and gadget literally was just gonna get some coffee, he’s still in his pajamas, he’s got bedhead) infinite sees him and whoops he tackle-hugs him and then whoops he knocked them both onto the floor but its cool gadget kinda let it happen and when infinite tells him what happened and apologizes he’s now also super excited and happy for him so now there’s two (2) people screaming inside (and out) about this awesome development

here’s a short one: they wear each other’s clothes a lot

gadget’s v cuddly in his sleep so he gets really clingy w/ infinite when a) it’s early morning and they’re just waking up b) it’s Late o’ clock at night and they’re chillin at home or c) he’s Actually asleep and within like three feet of infinite

i dont really know how to end this lol i dont really wanna just start repeating myself and i might think of other stuff later but for now pls consider the following: when they sleep whoever’s big spoon ends up resting one hand over the other’s heart and it’s super sweet

so obviously you are excited af bc i was

and you wait 8 hours until the lines finally start moving and everyone finally gets their bracelets and fuck you're actually shaking

plot twist changkyun is your bias and you have a sign and everything and you are just so excited to finally meet him

you've been practicing your korean for like months now and you're ready to tell him that he is your happiness

but you get into the venue and everything moves so quickly

and next thing you know you're in line with 19 other girls about to take a photo with the boys

and you shake so much and you're on the verge of tears

and kihyun notices that and out of all the boys he's the one to say hello to you and all you can do is nod your head and mutter "안녕하세요"

and so you take the photo and honestly it was 5 sec long but right before the staff tells you to get the fuck outta there, you make eye contact with hyungwon

and you look at him and you smile and you say "안녕하세요" bc that's all that can come out of your mouth

and that's when!! it fucking starts!!

you hear a lil thud in your chest and you're like !!??!!! what is going on but you're like oh it's just nerves LOL

and so you make new friends in line bc everything was a mess and you guys shared complaints about how you paid so much $$ but only spent 10 seconds with the boys

and then they start letting you inside and holy FUCK it's a stampede

you literally run like the wind and ??? tbh it's the fastest you've ever run in your life

and you manage to get a really gOOod view?? like think third row right in front of the barricade before the stage

but .... so many people keep pushing and hitting... and the concert hasn't even started

and it was so bad and you look around and you see fansites being crushed and one of them is on the verge of tears

so you try your best to stick it out at least one song

but you can feel your lungs giving out and tears about to form

a few girls got pulled out by security bc they were having anxiety and panic attacks and you were like fuck.... i can't do this

so literally 30 min before the concert starts you fight your way through the crowd and you manage to find an empty corner of the section

still a pretty good view?? but def not as close as you were

and your friends end up joining you bc THEY couldn't handle it either so in the end it was okay

and the concert starts and !!!! HOLY FUCK !!!!

and you're on the verge of tears bc .... you've only seen them perform in videos and you've listened to their songs on repeat for so long... and now you finally get to see them do what they love in person

and it's so surreal?? like they are actual living angels...

so you get through the first couple songs and with your luck... changkyun isn't on your side!! but guess who is?? ring ding dong chae hyungwon

and the intro to ex girl comes on and .... this is one of your fave songs so of course you sing and dance like crazy while you record it

but you notice hyungwon looking at you... just laughing and smiling

and you feel your heart soar and the thumping comes back and it starts to get a lil harder to breathe.....

which is weird for you bc nobody was pushing on you and you weren't suffocating

so why was it so hard for you to catch your breath?

and hyungwon noticed it too bc as soon as he saw you dancing he couldn't help but smile

but then his heart started to beat audibly and he was like .... fuck bc his part was coming up but he couldn't even sing bc he couldn't breathe

and so he looked away from you and everything went back to normal and he could sing again!!!

but holy fuck that's when he realized... you might just be his soulmate

but you didn't get this at all

bc you were just like !!!! hyungwon noticed me i'm so jittery n nervous

and you're waving your changkyun sign in the air trying to get your bias to notice you

and hyungwon glances at it and in his head he's like "fuck changkyun"

and you keep recording all your favorite songs and stuff what not like normal

but you notice that whenever hyungwon comes over to your side

you feel a lil... different

you focus your camera on him more and you notice him looking at you and waving a lil bit

and you're like ???? why is he noticing me so much  oh my god

and your heart starts to ache and you're like fuck what is going on

so they're doing their little talk in between songs and while the translator is speaking, you notice hyungwon looking right at your camera

and you're like ..... hyungwon......

and hyungwon sees you recording and he smirks at you bc ... you're so cute recording the other members but he knows you'll notice him looking and he knoOoOws your heart is going to skip a beat

and he's right bc you feel your heart doing that weird thing again

and during white love he came over to your side and he waved up to the balcony but before he went back to the center, he flashed a lil smile in your direction

but the thought of you possibly being his soulmate lingers in the back of your head

and so during white sugar when they throw candy into the crowd you were so set on catching one

and you'd use your sign as like a lil racquet to try and hit candy in your direction

but nope nothing

minhyuk threw some in your section but the girls around you were faster

and then well well well hyungwon came along with his basket of candy and he tried to toss some up to the balcony but he was always a lil bit too short

but he saw you trying your best to get some and well... he wanted you to get one

but he didn't want to make it too obvious?? he didn't want other fans to think that he was giving you special treatment... when he lowkey kind of was

so he grabbed a handful and threw some not at you but neAaAr you....

and then you felt something hit your head

and noticed a candy fell onto the floor

and three girls near you dive for it

and you just look at hyungwon like... really

deep down inside hyungwon is like fUCK i hit them w/ candy

but he sees you look at him like [○･｀Д´･○] and he couldn't help but laugh at you bc you're already looking at him like that and you two haven't even officially met

and amidst the screams of the crowd he hears you call out to him "yah chae hyungwon!!!"

and it was then when he realizes that he wants to hear you say his name like that everyday for the rest of his life

anyways the concert continues and they start blind

and once again, this is one of your favorite songs

so you're literally singing your heart out and minhyuk and hyungwon come along to your side of the stage

and minhyuk is just doin his lil thing

but when the lyrics go "she go low i go up" you dance along and point down and shit

and you see hyungwon point back at you

and you two make eye contact and both of you guys point to your chests

bc both of you end up getting chest pains?? but they def aren't as bad as before

and he just smiles and walks back to the rest of the boys

and by this point, some of the girls around you have started to notice that you were getting a lil more attention from hyungwon than the rest of the members

and hyungwon noticed this bc these girls were giving you death glares at this point like shooting daggers into you

and so he whispered into wonho's ear while their translator was speaking

"hyung i think my soulmate is over there holding a changkyun sign" and wonho looks over at you w/ hyungwon

you're talking to your friends like "why did hyungwon hit me w/ a candy"

and wonho says "stop paying so much attention to them, we'll find them later" and hyungwon just nods bc he gets it

so for the rest of the concert he keeps his distance from you

and you get a lil sad bc the concert is ending and it feels like he's forgotten about you

but that's not it at all!! hyungwon was just waiting for the concert to finally end so he could tell one of the staff to find you bc well... what if he never sees you again?

hyungwon couldn't deal w/ the thought of losing his soulmate.... he wanted to know what you were like and whether you were funny and liked to sleep a lot too

and he wanted to know your favorite color and your favorite ice cream flavor and what kind of movies you liked

and so when last page started and the concert was finally about to end, hyungwon waved goodbye to everyone

and he came back to your section and he blew kisses to the crowd

in hopes that you would catch one

but you didn't bc you were just trying your best to savor the last moments of the concert

and you felt your heart sink a lil bit

bc what a silly thought it was.... to think chae hyungwon was your soulmate...

so many other people screaming his name... like you were something special

and after they left the stage, you were about to leave

when someone tapped your shoulder and a man dressed in black w/ a headset asked you to come with him

and so you were led backstage, legs shaking and palms sweaty

'what the fuck is happening right now'

and so you were left in a room... by yourself.. not knowing what was going on

and you hear a familiar voice outside "are they inside?" and your heart does that same thing that it does in the presence of hyungwon, something you're so familiar with now

and he says "yeah, that has to be them. i can hear my heartbeat"

- The most effective way to wake him up was to tip water on his face,,, which he hATes lmao

-  Sometimes when he’d go a night without sleeping and was feelin kinda cheeky,, he’d pour water on u at 4:30am and justify it as payback

-   More than once you guys have fallen asleep on the floor together

-   But when u did go out and catch a train or bus to the nearby shopping mall, you’d always share earbuds and he’d stare out the window and you’d always wonder what he thought about but whenever you’d ask he’d always just shrug and ignore you

-   I feel like yoongi is one of those people that high key hates small talk like No I Don’t Care how the weather is, talk about your first pet or how u would pray to the stars bc u thought they would grant every wish

-   and you guys would stay awake until the really early hours of the morning sitting on his bed and talking about all things that made u scared of the dark

-   during the day I feel like your friendship wouldn’t be so much about talking, more about just spending time together at a local coffee shop sipping on scorching hot chocolates and just watching the snow fall outside and observing the people who came into the shop

-   I think people watching would be something u guys did often, and you’d make up lil stories using all the information u could gather from a person

-   like a lady is walking past wearing a business outfit n she is carrying a child and yoongi would guess that she was Smart And Successful and then start to rant about how Sometimes Success Is Not What Matters and the lady wanted a child to love n you’d nod b4 pointing out the lady wasn’t wearing a ring and suggested the child wasn’t hers n she was just babysitting or something

-   sometime when you’d force him to come clothes shopping w you and you’d try something on and asked if it suited you and he’s sarcastically cringe and be all like “don’t wear that when you’re with me”

-   and you’d pout a lil before rolling your eyes with a lil “whatever” n he’d feel bad and be all “kidding, kidding, you look nice I guess”

-   tho like tbh he’d give u fashion advice all the time like “geez y/n you’re wearing /that/ scarf with that shirt?” and you’d roll your eyes and be all like “ha yeah like you can talk you’re literally wearing pajamas”

-   you’d go to every one of his basketball games and you’d always be the one cheering the loudest and he’d be low key embarrassed by it,,

-   tbh he high key loved it but gosh no he’d never tell u that

-   You were his personal cheer squad partly because you were proud him,,, mostly because you knew it embarrassed him lmao

-   after every game you’d go this ice cream shop a few blocks down from the courts and you’d share a large sundae and he’d eat all the strawberries but you didn’t mind despite always complaining to him about it

-   if u play a sport he’d absolutely be at all your games,, though he’d just sit in the corner and watch with a small smile that grew every time u looked over and waved at him

-   sometimes,, by accident,, he’s get really into the game and if your team was winning or scored a goal he’d jump and with a huge grin before realising and slowly sitting back down lmao

-   okay but you’d absolutely love when yoongi was in a really good mood because he’d always laugh and joke w you and he’d be grinning at you with his adorable gummy smile and it just made you really happy to see him like that

-   sometimes yoongi would be feeling really down and just get all quiet(er) and reserved and just ignore you and u could always tell when he was upset but you also knew he wouldn’t want to talk about it

-   and despite how much he insists he just wants to be alone, you knew deep down he appreciates your presence when he’s like this

-   so you would always go get some take out and hand him a bowl of chicken katsu and rice but he’d just push it away but you’d just smile and pick up a book and read, leaning your back against him

-   and he’d eventually reach for the food u brought him and you couldn’t help but grin, making sure your hair hid your pleased expression

-   you always knew silence was best but if it was more casual you’d probably start ranting about how you’re beSt friends so you should tell each other stuff that’s getting u down ?? Buts he’d probably just have his headphones on and not even hear you

-   You’d sigh and go over to him and start lazily massaging his neck n shoulders while clenching your jaw because you’re still low key annoyed he won’t talk to u

-   But he’d tilt his head and accidentally moan really softly bUt it’s nOt his fAULT you’re really good at giving massages

-   when you’re upset yoongi doesn’t really know how to properly respond

-   I feel like he’d leave u alone for a bit first bc he just wouldn’t know what to say or do but then he’d remember all the times u were just there for him and he’d feel really guilty and uGH he better go check on you

-   But like if it was something really bad like you were crying your eyes out I think he’d be REALLY concerned, especially if you weren’t telling him what was wrong

-   like he’d demand to know if someone hurt you and silently swear that he’ll give it to whoever made you cry like this,, honestly he’d be so pissed

-   but you’d just shake your head n grip onto his shirt while soaking his shoulder with your tears

-   and he’d sigh and hold you close and gently stroke your hair

-   he would feel really weird saying anything, even just a simple “it’d gonna be alright”, so I think he’d just try to let his really awkward affection speak for itself and hope you would pick up on it

-   the next day tho after you assured him you were all better, he’d go back to his usual self and probably joke about how you made a mess of his shirt and you better not do that again

-   tho this is his way of expressing,, not that he won’t be there for you,, but that he just prays there won’t be a next time because honestly he cannot stand seeing you that upset

-   you know he’ll always care about and always be there for you when you needed him

-   if you were feeling insecure about yourself and you even slightly expressed these thoughts to yoongi, first he’d definitely roll his eyes at you and second, he’d tell you appearance is pointless anyways and that you should instead fix your terrible sense of humor

-   “stop worrying about that stuff y/n it doesn’t matter”

-   “who cares what others think you look fine anyways”

-   “stop saying that y/n I’d still be your friend no matter what u looked like”

-   tbh on your birthday yoongi probably wouldn’t get you a gift because “materialistic items are such a waste honestly y/n do u want to kill the planet?” and you’d just roll ur eyes and he’d say something like “besides isn’t our friendship enough? it takes a lot to put up with you, you know?”

-   okay but for one birthday,, he’d give u a song he wrote for you and he’d been working on for the past eight months and it was all about how grateful he was and he just put all his emotions and things he never could express to you all in this one beautiful song

-   like just imagine him, it’d be a huge deal, this wasn’t something he’d do for just anyone and the song was really personal and to trust it with someone was a HUGe deal okay

guys, i just. i really want everyone to see how soft isak becomes around even

bc like

everyone who knows isak (boy squad, girl squad, kollektivet) thinks he’s really grumpy all the time and the type of person to scoff at emotions

and isak is like that sometimes

but this bABY becomes an absolute marshmallow around his boyfriend and i want other people to witness it

kollektivet would see this side of him first since they live w him and even basically lives with them

(also they saw how much isak worried about and took care of even during that one awful week in december)

so imagine noora coming into the kitchen, intent on making herself a nice fruit salad for breakfast when she finds even at the hob and isak plastered to his back, face smushed between even’s shoulderblades and his eyes closed

she hovers in the doorway, biting down a smirk at how isak almost seems to be sleeping standing up except for the way his arms occasionally tighten around even’s middle while even talks

before she can decide how to interrupt them, eskild appears behind her

he takes one look at them, grins and says, “even, you’ve got a grumpy seventeen year old on your back”

when isak pulls away to glare at him eskild waves a hand and is like, “nvm, it’s gone”

even laughs but isak is pouting so even lifts his arm, letting isak tuck himself into his side

“you gonna help me with the pancakes or just prevent me from using my left arm?” even asks, quirking his eyebrows as he grins down at isak

“you can manage one handed,” isak mumbles and then. oh boy, then it happens

isak gets that droopy eyed smile on his face (u know the one i mean) as even leans down to peck his lips and noora and eskild just...

bc they have nEVER seen isak make a face like that before

for the whole time isak has lived with eskild he’s almost permanently been frowning

and noora didn’t really know isak that well before he moved into the flat but she could never really believe the stories eva would tell her about how cute isak could be

eskild wants to say something and is definitely about to but noora grabs his arm and says, “we’re gonna go out for breakfast, bye boys!” and physically drags him out of the kitchen bc she’s a good friend and roommate

imagine noora and eva have a sleepover so eva’s in the kitchen some saturday morning when isak and even come in, fingers linked loosely between them as isak trails behind even

even greets her enthusiastically and isak, sleepily

even makes breakfast for her and eva literally cannot believe isak found the perfect man

but then when it comes to actually eating breakfast isak sits on even’s lap rather than in one of the empty chairs around the table

(they’re only using one plate too they’re gross)

and eva sort of huffs a laugh in amusement and is like, “you know there’s four chairs and only three of us right?”

and isak lets out a long-suffering sigh from where he’s perched sideways on even’s lap, back resting against the wall with even’s arm around his waist to keep him steady

“eva, it’s 9 in the morning, i’m barely awake right now. let me sit on my boyfriend’s lap”

eva is literally so gleeful at the sound of isak saying the word “boyfriend” she can only nod and bite back her smile

but then it gets wORSE bc even smiles at isak and makes some teasing comment and isak rolls his eyes and it’s the fONDEST eye roll she’s ever seen from him 

eva remembers the way isak was when they were fifteen/sixteen and she knows he changed a lot in the year or so when they weren’t really friends but she thinks even the old isak couldn’t rival the version of isak she sees now 

so happy and comfortable and gentle and not at all ashamed to be like that

she’s so happy for him

imagine (and ok this one might verge on crack-y but just go w it)

imagine even waking isak up w kisses the morning after pre-drinks which had turned into just Drinks at kollektivet with the boy squad and the girl squad

and isak is a lil annoyed bc he’s hungover and still tired but also not annoyed at all bc even keeps kissing his cheek and his jaw and whispering “wake up, isak” “isaaaaak” “baby” “elsker deg”

the last one eventually has isak huffing and his lips twitching up in a smile as he rolls onto his back to look at even 

even leans over him with the softest smile in the world and the tips of their noses are touching as he whispers, “god morn”

and isak has just gotten his arm around even’s neck, is literally just about to pull him into a real good morning kiss when he hears, “please don’t have sex with me in the room” from the floor beside his bed

evak stare at each other before both leaning over the side of isak’s bed to find jonas on the floor with one of isak’s cushions under his head and and four of isak’s hoodies being used as a blanket

“...why are you in my room?”

“living room’s full”

“who’s in the living room?”

“all the girls and magnus and mahdi”

“i don’t remember telling you all you could stay the night”

“you didn’t, you’d already gone to bed. when i came in you were both passed out. you were spooning. it was cute.”

jonas finally opens his eyes when isak doesn’t reply and finds isak staring down at him with a “my brain is still trying to process this” expression while even is peeking over isak’s shoulder and looking like he’s trying hard not to laugh

and like, it’s a bit weird bc his best friend is currently in bed with his boyfriend and jonas probably isn’t supposed to see this but it’s also sweet??? to see the way isak’s confused expression melts a little when even kisses his shoulder

to have heard the lightness in isak’s voice when even had managed to wake him up earlier

he knows isak hid a lot of his real self for the last year but he didn’t really realise how much until he saw isak become the person he is now

jonas really likes having his best friend back

especially when his best friend rolls his eyes and is just like “ugh fine u can come up here, the floor’s uncomfortable and it’s not like we’re gonna have sex with you in here anyway”

jonas laughs as isak practically lies on top of even to make room for him and it’s nice, feeling this old sense of closeness return

imAGINE THE GIRLS SEEING ISAK DOING THE HEAD TILT THING WHEN HE WANTS A KISS

listen i am a big fan of the girls having movie nights/slumber parties/pre-games at kollektivet and evak being forcibly dragged into it

isak literally tries not to leave his room when he hears them in the flat but then he or even will have to go to the bathroom or they’ll want food or something and the girls will ambush them and before they know it they’re stuck in the living room

i think in this particular instance isak probably hasn’t realised the girls have come to corral them yet

isak and even are in the living room bc even is searching for some dvd eskild swore they have 

(isak is like “babe u literally have netflix on ur laptop why”)

but then isak spots the dvd on one of the shelves and spins around to even. “got it!”

even stops what he’s doing and walks over to him, with a soft smile tugging at his mouth. “my hero,” he drawls sarcastically as he fits his hands to isak’s hips

isak would think of a witty remark but instead he just tilts his chin up, silently waiting for his thank you kiss

which even is all too happy to oblige him with

it’s great until they hear a squeak from the general vicinity of the hallway

when they pull apart they find the girls all crowded in the entrance to the living room with a myriad of expressions on their faces 

mostly beaming, too-wide smiles and sana’s more knowing smirk

they don’t even care when isak complains to them

their only regret is that none of them were quick enough to snapchat it

and fINALLY

the boy squad witness the eskimo kisses

sana almost did at christmas but u know she’s too good to ever bring it up

magnus on the other hand....

let’s say isak is upset abt something

not too upset but y’know, over something small like idk, he’s just stressed bc he has two tests this week and a project due 

and he’s being super grumpy and not getting involved in conversation at lunchtime and even can tell isak is gonna snap if one of boys (well meaning though they are) try to make him talk

so he puts his hand on isak’s knee to catch his attention and when isak looks at him even immediately leans in to press their foreheads together

“what’s wrong?” he murmurs

“nothing,” isak says in a way that obviously means something

even cups his cheek and whispers, “smile”

isak shakes his head but doesn’t pull away from even or dislodge his forehead

“please,” even presses, gently brushing their noses together, “come on, baby. smile.”

that does it. isak rolls his eyes but his mouth curves up just a little so even smiles back and kisses his cheek, returning to his earlier position but holding isak’s hand in his

and it’s too loud in the crowded cafeteria for the boys to hear what they said but they certainly sAW

mahdi thinks it’s adorable

jonas is so happy his bro has someone who treats him as good as even does

magnus almost has a conniption

“whAT WAS THAT???????????”

isak jumps at how loud he is and stares at magnus in bewilderment. “what?”

“the nose thing!!!!” he says, gesturing wildly. “what was that????”
