deciding if i want my text post about my father for today becuase too many would be whiny to be about how i get very terrifed anytime he raises his voice and thats prob not normal (which i already knew but yk) or a snarky "how come my dads on discord i though that site just pushed and agenda and tricked people into thinking theyre gay? that why i wasnt allowed it right?"
#see i was writing this post from the perspective that the first one was very concering and the second one is funny.#but yk i j realized to people that arent me theyre both concerning. ok.#my immediate response to seeing my dad on discord btw was to leave the official acnh server j bc thats like the most official server im in#and i got Scared. which is dub bc my dad doesnt play acnh why wld he use that server. but i Got Scared.#also ill tell u like the story of this first one which is that like. basically my sibling connected their phone to the internet at school#to reasearch smth and when they did they got a message from our mother abt watching a movie which was prob from sunday bc#apparently my mum was watching die hard then nd they joined for a bit idk but the fact that they got it now meant they kept being like#'thats weird do you guys think my phone is haunted i tihnk it might be' not entirely seriously#i also very like casually kept being like @na its probalby just a glitch those happen'#nd at some point i was very lightly like 'yk i dont think getting into the who thing of if ghosts exist is worth it when u cld just ask abt#the text message later' and rthe thing is fucking !!! my dad was literally agreeing with me !! but like he also seem somewhat actually like#upset and mad over my sibling saying their phone was haunted or at lest he was raising his voice and like seem mad to me#(i think he thought they were bieng fully serious abt the phone being haunted. nd that tht Not True bc it doesnt align w our religous#beliefs. but also idk if he brought up religon at all)#but the thing is my sibling was literally fine but like. auugh i got scared and freaked out#at some point i just put on my headphones nd tried to ignore it until he had moved on yay.#this happended in the car btw u guys need that context bc cars are eveil places for this reason parents are always Saying Shit there . augh#its so dumb like. this is why even when my parents r being fine i cant like. be around them. because they have caused me actual fr trauma#like intense trauma that impacts me every day bc i see them every fucking day. and i cant get away from it. so fun.#anyway. sorry this became a vent. SAD !#flappy rambles#vent

hmm.
#i wasnt able to sleep for ages last night and in my delirious tired state i was thinking ohh.. i dont thiunk my friends like me#:-(#and then i thought oh. well thats okay i like them i guess i can live with that. and now it keeps turning over in my head#its weird bc ik on some level its just insecurity. but it feels to me like fact so im not even like. anxious or sad abt it#its like the feeling is in another room. i dont think its within my ability to change. cant make ppl like me if they dont already innit#i mean i think im nice to ppl im not rude and i try not to cause anyone problems#maybe dislike is the wrong word i think maybe just neutral/indifferent. i dont think ppl tend to feel anything very strongly towards me#and something abt that is rly sad but in a distant way. i do care very deeply abt other ppl and like them a lot but im aware im not-#really emotionally accessible or trusting enough for people to feel like they have real connection with me#and i dont think im really in a place to be able to resolve that right now or at least not by myself bc its deeply rooted likely in trauma#it would take a lot of active digging + time from someone else i think + there isnt rly anyone in my life close to me#and tbh. even if i was in a place to do that kind of self work it ultimately doesnt really matter bc nothing will ever be enough for me#like im always going to be at least a little sad and dissatisfied socially bc thats just how it works. its not even worth thinking abt rly#not sure where im going with this my brain is so foggy today just turning it upside down and shaking the thoughts out#anyway#.diaries#.vent#<- i guess. not rly tho#just usual sunday blues. emails to send tmr and im very very tired

Too many cooks…
(A Hazbin Hotel/Alastor x Fem Reader fan fiction)
Part 2
I didn’t expect to write any more smut, butttt I had so much fun writing the last one (take that depression! :D) This idea came to me while casually preparing a roast on Sunday and singing along to the HH soundtrack. Enjoy!
Pairing: Alastor x Fem Reader
Plot: It’s your turn to cook for the HH gang, but Alastor decides to distract you…
Warnings: 18+, smut, bdsm, blood, rough sex (not for me, but maybe you), slight praise k*nk, p in v.
Word Count: About 1.3K
____________________________________________
The hotel was a hub of joy and excitement tonight, it was Friday night and that meant party time! Each week you all took turns cooking a slap-up meal for each other, then put on music, drank and laughed into the small hours. Last week Sir Pentious served up some sort of inedible egg dish which didn’t go down too well, especially when you all had noticed a couple of his egg boys had mysteriously disappeared… But anyway, it was your turn to shine and you were determined to cook something amazing for everyone!
You had it all planned out, cook a few things to suit every taste; something meaty, something veggie, something carby and something buggy… “Ugh” you scoffed as you placed the tray of roaches into the oven. It was Nifty’s favourite and who were you to deny the endearing little creep?
Niffty ran in and out of the kitchen gathering plates and cutlery to set the table. “Thanks Niffty, you’re a star!” You chimed as she grabbed some plates. “No problem! Everything must be perfect!” She sang as she grabbed some more plates. “And clean” she muttered wiping the top plate manically as she struggled through the door.
You laughed to yourself and began preparing the vegetables on the large island in the middle of the kitchen. “I think I’ll have everyone’s tastes covered with this spread” you thought. But then you remembered - Alastor. Alastor who had invited you to his room last night… Your heart fluttered as you remembered the evening’s amorous activities… “I don’t have any venison for Alastor, he’ll be so disappointed” you thought sadly. You didn’t want to disappoint him, especially now that you were his new flight of fancy.
You continued chopping up vegetables when a familiar feeling washed over you. The static was back and that only meant one thing… “Hello my little Doe” a voice suddenly whispered into your ear. You jumped violently and accidentally pierced the knife into your finger. “SHIT!” you yelped in pain as scarlet began dripping onto the white marble. You grabbed the nearest cloth and pressed it tightly to your finger before spinning round to see Alastor stood there. “Hey Alastor, sorry” you said meekly. “No I’m sorry my dear, I need to learn to not sneak up on people when they’re holding knives. Especially not Niffty, she’s a total liability…” He trailed off, “but here, let me help you” Before you knew it the cloth was tossed aside and Alastor had your finger in his mouth. A seductive look in his eye as his tongue swirled around, making sure to get every drop of you. When he was satisfied he let you go and wiped his mouth across his hand “almost as tasty as last night” he purred looking intently into your eyes. You blushed. “Now don’t be coy with me Y/N, you’re no innocent” he said leaning in closer before gently pressing his lips to yours. Your legs felt weak feeling him against you.
“What are you cooking?” He enquired inquisitively after pulling himself away from you. “Err, a little of this, a little of that” you said brushing a loose hair behind your ear. “But…” you began sheepishly “I haven’t got any venison for you, I’m sorry.”
“Oh don’t worry about it” Alastor said coolly “I prefer to catch and eat it fresh” he said almost salivating at the thought. “But the fact I slipped your mind makes me a little sad…” He said his tone changing. Your stomach fell, you never wanted to disappoint the Radio Demon. “I’m sorry Alastor” you said avoiding his gaze. “But, I know how you can make it up to me” he grinned demonically.
Before you knew what was happening Alastor had spun you around and was pressing you down onto the cold marble worktop, his crotch pressed against your buttocks and his powerful hands holding you down by your neck. “Al!” you squeaked in surprise. “Y’know that bit of blood has got me yearning for a little bit more” he growled leaning down over you, his lips against your ear. His lips brushed down to your neck before biting into the flesh gently, his crotch rubbing against you. His lips trailed back up next to your ear. Your face was now flushed hot with excitement. “Last night was wonderful, I think it’s time for round two” he whispered seductively. Your heart skipped a beat, “But what if someone comes in?” you questioned, amazed that you both hadn’t been interrupted already. “I’ll make sure no one will” he said before licking your ear slowly up and down. From the corner of your eye your saw green lock appear on the door. No one would be disturbing you.
Alastor slid his hands down to your black skirt and hoisted it up. “These tights will have to go” he said sternly ripping them off with his claws. You winced as he then spanked your bare arse cheek. “Do you like that Y/N?” You did like that, a lot. “Yes Alastor” you moaned.
“Good girl” he purred as he began sliding your thong down to your ankles. You could hear him unbuckling his belt and unzipping his trousers and felt your body tighten with excitement. He bent back down to your ears “Ready my Doe?” he cooed. “God yes Alastor” you whimpered.
His clawed fingertips traced their way down your back towards your buttocks, he dug his claws into the soft flesh and thrust himself into you roughly, you yelped in pain but didn’t want him to stop. He grabbed you by your pony tail and pulled your neck up, his lips back on your neck giving hickies. He moaned deeply with each thrust into your soaking pussy. “You’re mine” he growled as his stood up tall thrusting harder. His cock was deep inside you, tickling you just were you wanted it. “I thought you were punishing me Al” you moaned. Alastor laughed “Its not my fault you like it you little slut. Now, come for me” his thrusts became faster and the feeling was sensational. He dug his claws into your hips drawing blood and you felt yourself coming hard at the mixed feeling of pleasure and pain “fuck!” you exclaimed before moaning uncontrollably. “That’s it my little Doe” Alastor panted. “My turn!” He thrusted roughly, you could feel your hips starting to bruise from being bashed against the counter. But you didn’t care, all you wanted was Alastor to get there. He leant into you and grabbed your neck before groaning loudly. His cock pulsing inside you as your pussy was filled with him.
He kissed the back of your head before standing up and swiftly dressing himself. He gently pulled your underwear up and let your skirt down. He picked up the tattered tights and laughed “looks like I owe you more clothes!” before making them disappear in a puff of smoke. You chuckled as you turned to face him. You could never get over that face, that smile... He leaned in and gave you a soft kiss. “I’ll see you at dinner my Deer. There may not be anything I’ll eat, but some Rye with friends is always a welcomed treat.”
“Sounds good to me” you panted, still trying to recover from what had just happened. Before Alastor reached the door he stopped and turned “I’ll send some of the girls in to help you finish dinner, you’ve just used up a lot of energy so I’m sure you could you some help.” He said with a wicked grin. With a snap of his fingers the lock was removed from the door and he left inconspicuously.
You braced yourself on the counter. “What just happened…? Fuck!” You laughed to yourself removing a hand from the cold counter to wipe the sweat from your forehead. “I’d better clean up this blood, it looks like Niffty’s tortured someone in here…”

★・ i'd let you read my mind!!
A short scenario if you and Sunday were both Halovian and he reads your mind while communicating telepathically when you deny that you were ever going to take him on a date as a joke when he comes late. :)
Perhaps asking Sunday out on a date wasn’t the best idea. After all, you were a part of the family and had to uphold some kind of values. Asking your pretty boss out on a date was definitely not one of them. Not like you cared anyway.
Holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a box of some mystery cupcakes that you had bought from some kid on the bustling streets of penacony, you walked through his long and winding hallways, solved the weird puzzles he had set up (they were actually quite hard but you’d gotten used to them) and into his office. Not many people were able to go into there unless they had a special appointment, but you were an exception. The only exception.
“Sunday!” you called out. Somehow he was always cooped up in this office, it ought to be lonely sometimes – well maybe all the time… You paused. No answer. “Excuse me? Sunday…?” You yelled out again. Any longer and you were going to get quite annoyed.One of the only times when you could meet him and he’s out somewhere? You’ve got to be kidding me… “Uh-hum,” you cleared your throat, “Mr Sunday, leader of the Oak family and Representative of Penacony you have a visitor!” A few minutes passed and … no reply. You had specifically told him you were coming in 3 system hours.
Screw it, you sighed, placing your gifts behind your chair and taking a seat on one of his plush velvet chairs. “If you don’t come now, I’ll eat all these cupcakes…” Pause. Silence. This room was genuinely like a prison, you couldn’t fathom how he could spend all of his days locked up in this place by himself like a bird in a cage. An hour passed by…
And all of a sudden, the doors opened wide. “I’m so sorry, I’m late. I got caught up in some business.”
“Late by an hour?” you sighed dramatically, “oh whatever shall I do? All my plans have been cancelled because I’ve waited here for so long.” You sulked, knowing full well that you did not have any other plans lined up for the entire week. “I had something planned for the two of us to do, but I guess not anymore…” you averted your gaze while suppressing a grin.
He took a seat next to you, “what did you plan for us to do?” he asked thoughtfully, taking your hand in his and placing a kiss on it.
“Ah well, since you came so late, I’ve had to cancel the plans,” you wistfully shook your head, trying to hide the fat bouquet of flowers behind your chair. “There’s not much I can do…” you began to get up before you heard something in your head. Sunday hadn’t been speaking but you had heard him trying to communicate with you telepathically, Damn Halovian powers… you smiled.
So what is it?
Now all your thoughts would be relayed to him…
It was a date!! I wasn’t actually going to cancel it. I saw that you were pretty scared when I said I cancelled all my plans. I definitely tricked you didn’t I?
You shot him a beaming smile. Knowing full well that you did not trick him, you definitely forgot that Halovians were able to communicate telepathically, and that bouquet peeking out from behind your chair definitely didn’t help at all.
“Here you go,” you passed him the bouquet and then the box of cupcakes. “Now let’s go! We’re already running behind schedule by 1 hour and 14 minutes, we still have a lot to do you know!” You held his hand as you ran down the hallways while his other arm carried the bouquet and the half melted cupcakes.
“Today will be a long day,” he laughed.
i am actually so starved of sunday content and leaks its so sad

You’ve been living in your new apartment for about three months now, after leaving home and moving all the way to Australia for work. You like to think you’ve settled in well: you’re starting to get into a routine, you’ve managed to decorate most of your apartment and make it feel like home, Sydney isn’t as daunting as it was in the beginning - you were even able to give a tourist directions the other day.
The only thing missing is, well, friends. You get along well enough with your coworkers, they’ve been welcoming and have even started to invite you out. But more weekends than not you find yourself exploring the city on your own or hanging out on your couch with takeout, watching Netflix and thinking about your friends back home. You try to FaceTime them as often as you can, but the time difference makes it hard, and sometimes it makes you sad to ‘see’ them and know you can’t just meet up like you used to.
To stave off some of the loneliness you’ve been feeling, you’ve spent the past few weeks attempting to meet more people - and one person in particular has caught your eye: your neighbor, Miranda. You met her in the hallway during your first week in the building - she’d come up the stairs as you were fumbling with your keys, struggling a bit as your arms were full of groceries. She’d immediately offered to help, her eyes wide and her smile bright as she’d rushed over to you and grabbed the grocery bags right out of your hands. The way she looked down at you, watching your every move with great interest as you unlocked your door, brought a flush to your cheeks that only got worse during the subsequent small talk.
Your interactions since then have been a bit sparse - you keep hoping you’ll catch a glimpse of her in the hallway, but you rarely do. Sometimes you’ll hear her apartment door fall shut late at night as you’re falling asleep, or you’ll hear her footsteps on the stairs early in the morning while you’re still getting ready - wherever she works, she seems to have irregular shifts.
~~~
It’s a Sunday evening and you’re spending it alone (again). When your friend back home had canceled your scheduled FaceTime call at the last minute, you’d decided to distract yourself by baking. As you put together the ingredients for blueberry muffins, you find your mind wandering to your tall, blonde neighbor - wondering what it is she does for work, where she’s from (you thought you caught a British accent but you weren’t sure anymore), whether or not she’s seeing anyone…
The sound of the timer pulls you out of your thoughts and you turn off the oven and pull the muffin tray out, setting it on the counter. Your heart sinks when you realize there’s no way you’re going to finish them all by yourself. You suppose you could bring some to work… You bite your lip, your brow furrowing as you stare down the baked goods. Perhaps you could bring Miranda some? Butterflies erupt in your tummy when you picture her opening her front door, her lips stretching into a smile that reaches her bright blue eyes. Perhaps she would invite you in, perhaps the two of you would spend the evening on her couch, getting closer by the hour as you get to know one another. Perhaps…
You shake your head, trying not to get ahead of yourself. You’ll just stop by with a few muffins and see what happens. Maybe she’ll be busy. Or she won’t even be home and you’ll be forced to leave them next to her door.
After preparing a small basket of baked goods and changing from your rattiest sweatpants into a pair of jeans, you slip out of your apartment and cross the hall. Your heart begins to pound, your hands turning clammy as you bring your fist up to Miranda’s door. After a brief moment’s hesitation and a deep breath, you knock.
At first, you’re met with silence - your heart sinks a bit, and you try to ignore the little pang of disappointment that begins to creep up on you. But just as you’re about to turn around, you hear a shuffling behind the door. It opens just a crack - you hear an “Oh!” - and then it swings open fully, revealing Miranda in a navy bathrobe. Her hair is wet, slicked back - one strand falls over her eyebrow and she pushes it back, a smile growing on her lips as she looks down at you.
“Hello,” she says, sounding a little breathless. You feel yourself flush as you realize you must have caught her just out of the shower - perhaps it took her so long to answer the door because she wasn’t dressed yet, and the thought makes you slightly dizzy.
“Hi.” You can’t help but gawk a bit, and the thought of just dropping the muffins at her feet and leaving before you can make a fool of yourself briefly crosses your mind.
Her brows furrow slightly and so do yours, before you realize that you should probably say something else.
“I just wanted to…” You gesture vaguely at the basket you’re holding. “If this is a bad time, I can come back later,” you manage to stutter out, focusing all your efforts on keeping your eyes on her face.
“Oh, you’re alright,” Miranda says, craning her neck a bit to catch a glimpse at what you’re holding. “Are those muffins?”
“Yeah. For you.” You thrust your arms out, holding the basket towards her. Her eyes widen, darting between you and the basket as she takes it from you.
Her entire face seems to light up with excitement - she looks positively giddy. “Did you make these?”
“Yes! Yeah. I like baking. And I made too many. So I thought I would see if you want some.”
The smile that’s broken out across Miranda’s face is one you wish you could save and put in your pocket to look at on your worst days. It lights up her entire face, making her eyes sparkle and her nose crinkle - it’s the most beautiful sight you’ve ever seen. You’re so distracted by it that you nearly miss her next words.
“Would you like to come in? I was going to make some tea.”
“Sure.”
You blush as Miranda steps aside, allowing you to step over the threshold of her apartment. She shuts the door behind you then walks past you into her kitchen. Even the way she walks is attractive to you - the mesmerizing sway of her hips, the way she pushes her shoulders back and swings her arms, her long strides. Taking a deep breath, you follow her and lean against the door frame, watching as she sets down the muffins on the counter and puts on the electric kettle.
“I didn’t know if you’d be home,” you say, breaking the silence. You’re a bit embarrassed that your voice comes out hoarse, and you clear your throat. “I don’t see you around much. Do you do shift work?”
Miranda glances back at you as she rummages through the cupboards for two mugs. She smiles softly. “Sort of. I’ve been on call a lot lately.”
“Oh.” You cock your head to the side. “What do you do?”
“I’m, uh, a police constable.”
Your eyes widen as you process the information. It makes sense, you realize - and then you feel your mouth go dry as you picture Miranda in a police uniform.
“What do you do?”
Her question breaks you out of your trance, and you can feel your cheeks turn red. “Oh, um, that’s… I work in accounting.” You swallow back your embarrassment at having a “boring” desk job, your eyes darting around Miranda’s kitchen - anything to avoid meeting her gaze.
“Steady work then,” she says - you can hear the smile in her voice and you dare to steal a glance at her face. Her expression is soft, completely at ease, and you can’t help but feel your shoulders relax a little. “How come you moved to Sydney? Did you move here for a guy?”
A sound between a snort and a chuckle escapes your lips and you quickly look away again. “Nope.” You want to say that you’re more into women, but you get nervous and something stops you. “I just needed a change of scenery. I figured moving to an English-speaking country would be easiest, and I thought the weather here would be nicer than in the UK.”
Miranda laughs a full-belly laugh, throwing her head back. “I’m from the UK, you know.”
“Tell me I’m wrong then,” you tease with a grin.
Her eyes flicker briefly over your form, an amused grin on her face. “You’re… you’re not wrong.” She ducks her head in surrender - then the kettle goes off and she turns to busy herself with preparing the tea.
“So why did you move to Sydney then?”
“My boyfriend at the time was Australian.” Miranda hands you one of the mugs, then leans back against the counter, taking a sip of her own tea and observing you carefully. You try not to let on to the way that your stomach sinks when you hear the word “boyfriend” - it doesn’t mean she’s straight, you remind yourself (and besides, even if she did like women - it doesn’t mean she’d like you). You nod and hum in acknowledgment, hoping to come off as casual and unaffected as you sip your tea.
Miranda sets down her mug and reaches over the small kitchen table to grab a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Once again you find yourself mesmerized as long, slender fingers pull a cigarette out of the pack, placing it between her pale lips as she lights it.
For a moment, she seems unaware of your presence - she takes a deep drag from the cigarette, her fingers playing with the lighter as she exhales a cloud of smoke. Then her eyes fall to your face and widen slightly. “Oh, God, sorry. Do you mind?”
You shake your head - it’s not your apartment so it’s not like you have a say anyway, and, if you’re honest, you find it a bit hot. “Go ahead, it’s your apartment.”
She shoots you a grateful smile and takes another drag from the cigarette. “You want one?”
You nod and she tosses you the pack. Once you’ve plucked a cigarette from it, she steps towards you. “Here, let me,” she says, moving to light it for you as her own cigarette dangles from between her lips. She gets closer than would probably be necessary and her proximity makes you feel a little faint - you can smell the shampoo in her still-damp hair, and the smoke on her breath. Your eyes are trained on the lighter - when the flame goes out, you glance up, only to be met with the brightest blue eyes you’ve ever seen. They’re even lighter than you initially thought and her gaze is intense - it’s slightly overwhelming.
“Thanks,” you whisper hoarsely, forcing yourself to blink and take a step back. Miranda’s eyes are fixed curiously on your face as she plucks her cigarette from between her lips. She tilts her head, her lips parting into a smile.
“What?” There’s a playful edge to her voice and her eyes sparkle with mischief. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
You freeze, your cheeks turning pink. “Like what?”
“You find me intimidating, don’t you?” You open your mouth to argue but she cuts you off, gesturing down the length of her body. “It’s my height, isn’t it? I get that a lot.”
“It’s not- I mean…” You shrug lamely, taking a sip of your tea to give yourself a moment to think. “It’s not you, I’ve just had a long day. A long few months, actually.” Okay, so you’re deflecting - but it feels way too nice just to bask in Miranda’s presence, and you don’t want it to end so soon by making things awkward.
Miranda’s face softens in an instant, little creases appearing between her brows. “From the move? It can be so hard to uproot your life like that.”
It’s a phrase you’ve heard before - people trying to sympathize with you, looking for something meaningful to say. But with Miranda, it feels different. With the way she’s looking at you, it feels like she truly understands.
~~~
In the past few weeks you’ve gotten into the habit of bringing Miranda baked goods - always on the pretext of having made extras for work and other neighbors (though you never have any intention of giving them to anyone except Miranda). It’s more than worth the hours spent in the kitchen to see the smile that lights up her face when she answers the door. Sometimes she invites you in for tea and a cigarette, sometimes there’s only time for a bit of small talk before one of you needs to get going - but each time, butterflies erupt in your belly and you find yourself wishing you were brave enough to make a move.
What you don’t know is that Miranda finds herself wishing the same thing. Sure, she loves everything you make her (nothing you’ve ever baked her has lasted more than 2 days at most), but the real reason her face breaks into a splitting grin when she answers the door is because it’s you who’s standing there.
Miranda can’t get enough of you - you’re easy to talk to, you make her laugh, you seem to take her as she is. And you’re damn beautiful. The most exciting part of her week is wondering on which evening you’ll come by unannounced after work, and she finds herself praying she’ll have the time to talk to you.
One such evening, you’ve come over with a tray of red velvet cupcakes - decorated with festive little Christmas tree sprinkles. Miranda’s just gotten off a shift and has the evening off, and she’s never been more grateful as she leads you into her kitchen and turns on the kettle. You make yourself right at home, settling on a kitchen chair and tucking your legs underneath you as you reach for the pack of cigarettes on the table - it’s almost become a routine now, and you look like you belong there. Miranda likes that thought more than she’d care to admit.
Still, despite how often you’ve come by lately, she feels there’s still some sort of barrier between the two of you. Your conversations are the best part of her week, yet they tend to feel a bit… shallow. She’s desperate to get to know you better but she’s holding herself back - the fear of driving you away, of being too much for you to handle, causes her to freeze up. You’re just being nice, trying to make new friends in Australia, and here she is, falling for you one red velvet cupcake at a time.
“Mir?” Your voice pulls her out of her thoughts and she looks at you like a deer caught in headlights. She tries desperately to remember what you were talking to her about, but she realizes quickly that her efforts are futile - she was too busy admiring the lock of hair falling across your cheek, the way you ran your fingers through your hair to push it back.
“Sorry.” She offers you a sheepish smile, her cheeks slowly turning scarlet.
You smile back, and her heart skips a beat. “I asked if you’re staying in Sydney for Christmas or if you’re going back to London?”
“I’m staying here. I work on Christmas, so…” She frowns slightly - she hasn’t gone home for Christmas in a few years. Usually, she works and spends her off-hours curled up in bed watching Christmassy rom-coms by herself. She’s gotten used to it. “Are you? Going home for Christmas?”
“Nah. I blew all my savings in the move, can’t afford the plane ticket.” Something about the way you shrug your shoulders, your gaze dropping to the floor, tells Miranda that your nonchalance is a front.
“Would you like to come over?” Miranda, what are you saying? “We could cook something and watch a movie together.” Miranda, shut up! “Maybe you could sleep over and we could keep each other company.” Oh, great, now you’ve done it! Miranda’s eyes widen as she realizes what she’s saying, but she can’t take it back now - and, to be honest, she doesn’t want to take it back. Her heart hammers wildly against her ribcage as she waits for you to reply. It only takes you seconds, really, but those few seconds might as well be hours as time slows and Miranda begins to find it hard to breathe.
“Oh, it’s fine, you don’t have to take me in! I’ll be okay, I wouldn’t want to impose.” Your words come out in a rush and your cheeks are turning pink - Miranda’s heart starts to sink and she scrambles to find the right words to save the conversation.
“You wouldn’t be imposing, I’d have just had a few beers by myself after work anyway.” She chuckles nervously, before adding, “I could use the company.”
She quickly looks away from you, finding the brief moment of vulnerability too much to handle - she couldn’t bear to see the look in your eyes at the moment, certainly one of pity or judgment.
“Oh… Well in that case, I’d love to spend Christmas with you. If that’s okay.”
Miranda’s eyes widen and she glances over at you to see you smiling shyly - her heart stutters in her chest and she feels her stomach flip pleasantly. She lets out a shaky breath, unable to stop the wide smile that’s creeping up her face. “Okay then.”
~~~
Ever since that evening in Miranda’s apartment, you’ve been buzzing with excitement. She’d ended up giving you her number so that you could plan when to come over, and it’s taken all of your restraint not to bug her every waking second - you wouldn’t want her getting sick of you and regretting inviting you over.
But as Christmas is just a few days away, you decide to shoot her a text as you’re lying in bed at night.
Y/N: Hey there, it’s Y/N! I just wanted to ask what time you wanted me to come over on Christmas? :)
You toss your phone aside, not expecting Miranda to text back anytime soon - it’s already late, after all. When your screen lights up moments later, however, your heart begins to pound.
Miranda: Hey! Miranda: I work until 4 Miranda: So evening I would say
Y/N: How does 6 sound? Is that too early?
Miranda: That sounds perfect :)
Y/N: Great! Should I bring anything?
Miranda: Just yourself ;) Miranda: Wait Miranda: Actually Miranda: Do you remember the cookies you brought me last week?
Y/N: What, am I not enough for you? ;)  Y/N: (I’ll make some more)
Miranda: Are you sure?
Y/N: Absolutely!! Anything for my favorite neighbor.
Miranda: You’re too good to me
By the time you’re done texting her, you’re grinning down at your phone like an idiot. The screen goes black and you catch sight of your reflection - you blush and bury your head in your pillow. For the first time since you moved, you’re actually starting to get excited for Christmas.
~~~
Three days later you’re wrapping up a pair of Christmas pajamas (red, covered in little white snowflakes - you have a matching pair) to give to Miranda - you want to give her something for Christmas, but you don’t know her all that well yet to get her something personal. Still, you think (or at least, you hope) she’ll find the pajamas silly and fun.
Armed with the gift, a huge tupperware box full of candy cane cookies, your keys, and your phone, you pad across the hall and knock gently on Miranda’s door. You hear her muffled voice yell “coming”, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps, before the door swings open. Miranda’s eyes flick briefly down your body, over the wrapped gift and the cookies, before she finally meets your gaze. She’s slightly out of breath, and her lips curl up into a smile that meets her eyes. What you would give to kiss those lips…
“Merry Christmas,” you say, smiling back and forcing your eyes to remain trained on her own.
“Right! Merry Christmas!” You could swear you see Miranda’s cheeks turn pink, but before you have time to question it she’s ushering you into her apartment, her hand coming to rest on your lower back as she steers you towards the kitchen. “I did some food shopping the other day. I wasn’t sure what you’d want to eat, I’m not usually big on holiday foods and I didn’t have time to prepare anything because of work.”
Miranda’s rambling has you swooning - you can tell she’s nervous, though you aren’t sure why. If only she knew you’d happily eat frozen pizza or cereal for Christmas dinner, as long as you get to spend it with her.
“It’s fine, I don’t care much about Christmas dinner, we can eat anything.” You hope that you’re coming off as reassuring, though you can’t really tell as Miranda blushes again and lights up a cigarette.
“Maybe a curry?” she asks, chewing at her bottom lip.
“Yeah, that sounds great. Just tell me what you need help with.”
She seems to relax a bit, heading over to the fridge and pulling out ingredients. “What do you drink? Do you want a beer?”
“Please.”
The two of you spend the next 45 minutes side by side in the small kitchen, cooking, drinking, talking - mostly it’s Miranda, telling you about her workday. When she’s done chopping vegetables, she reaches for the pack of cigarettes again - “sorry, nerves,” she says with a faint smile. You still can’t fathom what she’s nervous about but you don’t want to push her, so you shrug it off and turn your attention to the curry that’s simmering in the pan. You dip a spoon into the sauce to try it, humming in delight the second the flavors explode on your tongue.
“This is really good, try it!” Without thinking you bring the spoon to Miranda’s mouth and, without thinking, she closes her lips around it. Her eyelids flutter shut and she lets out a little noise of pleasure that’s dangerously close to a moan. Heat pools in your stomach, your eyes glued to her lips as you slide the spoon out of her mouth - it’s the first time you notice a little scar above her lip, and you swallow thickly.
You quickly avert your gaze as Miranda’s eyes open again, taking a sip of your beer as you check on the rice.
“I was thinking we could just eat in the living room and watch a movie?” Miranda suggests when the curry is done cooking. You agree and help Miranda carry the bowls and a couple bottles of beer into the living room. It’s small, like yours, and a little cluttered. There’s a string of fairy lights above the window and a small Christmas tree sat atop a side table. Miranda’s eyes follow your gaze and she chuckles.
“I actually put that up two days ago, I panicked when I realized I didn’t have any Christmas decorations up at all.”
“You didn’t have to decorate on my account,” you tease, earning yourself a laugh.
“Oh but what kind of Christmas would it be without a tree?”
“Can’t argue with that.”
Miranda smiles at you as she settles on the couch, crossing her legs and setting her bowl in her lap. She gestures for you to join her. You tuck your knees underneath you, angling your body towards her. As you eat, you fall into an easy conversation - you find yourself getting even more comfortable in Miranda’s presence, feeling right at home in her apartment. You can tell she’s relaxing as well - she stretches her legs out, her toes (clad in Christmas-themed socks) touching the side of your thigh.
“I got you something, by the way,” Miranda says suddenly, leaning over to place her almost-empty bowl on the table. You follow suit, a smile lighting up your face.
“I got you something, too - wait here!” Miranda looks somewhat surprised as you jump up and rush into the kitchen, returning with the gift you’d brought. She now has a gift of her own on her lap, and she’s picking at the edge of the wrapping paper as you settle back down beside her, a soft smile on her face.
You exchange gifts and Miranda’s chewing nervously at her bottom lip as she watches you tear open the wrapping paper. It’s a cookbook for baking - you can’t help but laugh, and you look up to see Miranda’s cheeks turn pink.
“Is this meant to be a hint?” you tease, and Miranda chuckles nervously.
“Sorry, I-”
“I love it,” you cut her off, setting the book down beside you and leaning over to wrap your arms tightly around her torso. She returns the hug - her arms are strong and comforting and you’re immediately enveloped in her scent. It takes everything in you not to kiss her.
After pulling away, you gesture eagerly to the gift that’s in her lap. She has a look of nervous excitement on her face as she begins to unwrap it - her smile widens when she takes the pjs out of the wrapping paper and holds them in front of her.
“I hope they fit, I guessed your size. I have the same ones and you seem like the type of person who would like them.”
Miranda’s eyes widen as she looks over at you, her expression nothing short of giddy. “You have the same ones? Wear them! We can match.”
Her reaction is exactly what you hoped it would be. The prospect of wearing matching Christmas pjs is both adorable and a little intimate, and you’re filled with nervous anticipation as you head across the hall to your apartment to get changed.
When you get back to Miranda’s apartment a few minutes later, the blonde is sitting on her couch with her legs tucked underneath her. She smiles so widely that her nose crinkles, and she opens her arms to you. Without a second thought, you allow yourself to be pulled into a tight hug.
“Do you like them?” you ask as you pull away.
“I love them!” The smile on her face is genuine, her eyes shining brightly, and you can’t help but blush, your entire body tingling a bit as your eyes drift down her body.
~~~
You’re about an hour into the second movie of the night and you’re already several beers deep (you’ve lost count, to be honest). You’ve scooted closer and closer to Miranda as the evening has worn on, and now you’re practically on top of her - your legs are bent at the knee, tucked against your body and resting on the outside of her thigh, your shoulder is all but glued to her own.
You drain the rest of your beer, then pout at the bottle. “It’s empty,” you say, more to yourself than to Miranda, who chuckles and shifts beside you.
“I can get you another one?”
“It’s fine,” you say with a giggle. “Maybe I should stop drinking.” You’re not drunk but you’re definitely tipsy - you turn your head to face Miranda a little too quickly and, for a brief moment, the room spins, causing you to burst into another fit of giggles.
Your eyes meet Miranda’s, before dropping to her lips and getting stuck there. They’re curled into an amused smile as she chuckles at your inebriated state - though the smile slowly fades as her brows begin to crease. Her tongue darts out to wet her lips and your own laughter quickly dies in your throat, your mouth going dry. You can tell Miranda’s breathing has gone shallow, her eyes falling to your lips. The air around you becomes thick and heavy, and Miranda’s gaze darts away.
“I’m sorry,” she mumbles, scrambling to scoot away - before she can get very far, your arm shoots out and holds her in place.
“What are you sorry for?” you whisper. The only sound you can hear is the pounding of your own heart in your ears as you wait for Miranda to respond. Her gaze flickers between your eyes and your lips, a lovely shade of pink rising in her cheeks.
“I-” she starts, cutting herself off as she swallows visibly.
“Do you want to kiss me?” You don’t know what prompted you to be so bold (probably the alcohol), but when a soft, barely audible whimper escapes Miranda’s throat, you can’t say you regret asking.
“Yes.”
You definitely don’t regret asking.
“I want to kiss you, too,” you whisper, leaning in slightly as you fix your gaze on soft-looking, pale pink lips that glisten slightly in the dim light of the living room. Then you stop yourself, hesitating as the room spins again. You’ve dreamed of kissing those same lips for weeks now but something is off.
The alcohol, you realize - you don’t want your first kiss with Miranda to be clouded by alcohol. You want to appreciate and remember the moment fully, you want to savor every second. So, as much as you’re dying to close the gap and absolutely ravage the lovely, beautiful woman sitting next to you, you decide to pull back. “But I’m going to wait until tomorrow. I want to be completely sober for that. And… if you still want to kiss me tomorrow… then I’ll kiss you.”
Miranda nods slowly, looking a bit dazed. “That’s, uh,” she starts, her voice hoarse. She clears her throat. “That’s a good idea.” She shifts in her seat, crossing one thigh tightly over the other. The air is still thick and heavy, and it takes everything in you not to say ‘fuck it’ and push her back onto the couch - but you mean it, you really do want to be sober for that. So you lean back, putting a few inches of distance between yourself and Miranda for the remainder of the film.
You feel yourself becoming more and more tired, and by the time the credits are rolling, you’re struggling to keep your eyes open. Pushing yourself up off the couch, you sway slightly as you make it to your feet, and immediately decide to sit back down so that you don’t fall over.
“You sure you can make it back down the hall okay?” Miranda teases, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she watches you lean back against the sofa.
You roll your eyes and shoot her a playful glare. “I’m not drunk. I’m just tired.” As if to emphasize your point, you yawn widely as you finish your last sentence - Miranda laughs.
“You can sleep here if you want,” she offers - then her face goes pale and she rushes to explain herself. “Not with me of course, but the couch is quite comfortable. Or you can take the bed and I’ll take the couch, that’s fine, too-”
She’s talking a mile a minute and it’s the most charming thing you’ve ever heard - especially since you definitely would sleep with her. You’d just prefer to do it sober. Giggling, you decide to show her mercy and cut her off. “Thanks for the offer. I think I’ll take the couch if you don’t mind.”
“Of course, let me get you some blankets.” She turns off the tv and stands, leaving the room for a minute and coming back with a pillow and an armful of blankets. You get up and try to help her to make a makeshift bed for you, but your movements are a bit sluggish and you realize you’re just getting in her way, so you end up perching on the edge of the coffee table until she gives you the go.
You snuggle into the blankets - they smell like Miranda, and it takes everything in you not to bury your nose in them and moan out loud. Instead, you shoot Miranda a smile and mutter a sleepy ‘thank you’ - she nods, telling you to yell if you need her, then turns to leave.
“Oh, Miranda?” You lift your head off the pillow and crane your neck towards the blonde.
She pauses in the doorway, turning back to face you as she runs a hand through her hair. “Hmm?”
“Merry Christmas.” You beam at her, even as your eyes threaten to close any second. The evening was far from a traditional Christmas celebration, but it was the best Christmas you’ve had in a long time.
“Merry Christmas,” she replies, her smile soft and genuine, before turning around and disappearing into her bedroom, closing the door quietly behind her.
~~~
You’re out like a light the second Miranda is gone, completely oblivious to the internal struggle she faces as she curls up in her own bed. She tries to close her eyes and force herself to sleep, but she’s not tired at all - her mind is racing and her heart is pounding, her entire body responding to the evening she’s shared with you. The laughter, the sense of familiarity and peace, the tension when you nearly kissed her. And, God, does she want to kiss you. But you’re tipsy, and you probably just said that in the heat of the moment - she gets it, sometimes alcohol makes her flirty and a little horny as well. You probably won’t remember that conversation in the morning - and you probably won’t want to kiss her anymore either.
She can’t help the way her heart sinks as she comes to that realization, and it keeps her up for the better part of the night. She feels like she’s just managed to nod off when the morning light starts to filter in through the curtains and she groans, burying her face in her pillow.
Thud.
Miranda freezes for a moment, her blood going cold as she hears a noise coming from her living room. Then she remembers that you’re sleeping on her couch and her body relaxes again. She’s nervous, wondering if you’ll be awkward about the previous evening’s sexual tension, but her curiosity about whether or not you’re already awake wins out and she pushes herself off the bed, smoothing a hand over her hair and wiping the sleep out of her eyes before creeping into the hallway, careful to be quiet in case you’re still sleeping.
There’s a clattering coming from the living room though, and she finds you collecting the beer bottles from last night that are still scattered across the coffee table.
“Hello,” Miranda says, her voice still a little hoarse from sleep.
Your head whips around towards the doorway and your cheeks turn pink. “I’m sorry, I just wanted to clean up a bit. Did I wake you?” The way you’re chewing at your bottom lip is adorable and makes Miranda want to kiss you senseless. She chuckles and shakes her head.
“No, I was awake anyway. Here, let me help.” Miranda helps you clear off the coffee table, heading into the kitchen with an armful of bottles and her empty bowl from dinner. You’re right behind her with the rest of the dishes and you immediately make your way to the sink and start washing them - it feels so domestic that it makes Miranda’s heart flutter, and she has to look away and focus on something else so that you can’t see the blush on her cheeks or the yearning that’s surely shining in her eyes.
“Do you want coffee?” she asks, waiting for your affirmative hum before starting to make some. She’s so focused on preparing the coffee machine that she misses you turning off the sink and padding over to her - she yelps as you press against her back, placing your hands on the counter on either side of her and boxing her in. Her heart is racing, skipping beats left and right as your body heat warms her from behind. Drawing in a sharp breath, she turns around to face you.
“Miranda?” Your voice is low and a little shaky, and your cheeks are flushed - gorgeously so, Miranda finds her mouth going dry.
“Yes?” she croaks out.
“Remember how I said I’d kiss you today if you still wanted to?”
All Miranda can do is nod, her mouth hanging open as all the blood rushes to her face.
“Well, I guess I wanted to ask you if you still wanted to kiss me? Because I’m sober now and I still want to kiss you.” You look just as nervous as Miranda feels - she nods again, afraid her voice will betray how badly she wants you.
“Please, say it,” you plead, your eyes wide and earnest. “I need to hear you say it.”
“Y-yes. I- I want to kiss you.”
Your lips curl up into a soft smile and your hands move from the counter to Miranda’s waist, your grip firm as if you’re afraid she’ll run away from you. You press yourself up onto your toes until your face is mere inches away from her own. She can feel your breath on her face, warm and shallow. Her eyes are glued to your lips, wondering when you’ll close the gap - then you do, your lips soft and plush as they press gently against hers.
She allows her eyelids to flutter shut and kisses you back, her own hands reaching out tentatively to cup your cheeks. You smile into the kiss and she takes the opportunity to deepen it - you groan softly into her mouth as her tongue brushes against yours, and she swallows the sound, groaning back in return.
“I didn’t think you’d remember,” she murmurs, her thumb stroking your cheek.
“As if I haven’t been thinking about that since the moment I first met you,” you tease with a seductive grin, before wrapping your arms around her neck and pulling her down for a second kiss, even more passionate than the last.

Today was an extremely stressful day. Not only today, actually, it seemed like this whole week was full of stress for Arlecchino. You could see that from her face: bags under her eyes were getting worse, and her skin somehow got even paler than it usually is. She was getting home late and she was waking up so early that by the time you're awake her side of the bed has been cold long ago.
You don't like it. Each time she comes home, if you're lucky enough to get to see her before you're asleep, all you would hear from her is complains, and the way her voice was full of tiredness was only making your heart ache.
So today, you decided to change that!
... When you thought about it twice, you realized that the only way was to actually solve the problem that was causing your wife so much stress. You... weren't exactly in the position to do that, as the problem is most definitely something on her job. And if you would try to interfere in Arlecchino's work, you know you'd make the situation worse.
Upon thinking about it for more time, you came to conclusion that the best thing you were able to do in your position was giving Arlecchino all your support. You already had some ideas in mind for that.
This evening you were blessed to see your wife home before midnight: you hated the fact that she has to work even on sundays sometimes.
After you helped Arlecchino take off her coat, you greetes her with your usual "welcome home" being a kiss on her cheek while one of your hands rests on her other cheek, your other hand on her shoulder, as she hugs your waist closer.
Arlecchino gently returns the kiss, leaving you a blushing mess.
Even though she did come home earlier today, it was still quite late. You squeezed Arlecchino's shoulder, feeling slightly sad even though she was right in front of you. She noticed it and looked at you in that "I know something's wrong, what is it?" kind of stare.
You immediately tried to come up with an excuse: "You're cold.. you want some tea?"
Arlecchino blinked. "Sure, let me just change into something more comfortable."
"I'll wait in the kitchen," you tell her as she heads to your shared room.
You remembered one time you asked Lynette to teach you how to make tea the same way she does, since your wife -- well, you too actually, -- enjoyed it so much.
You tried to prepare the drink, following the steps you remembered, when suddenly you were caught!
You turned your head to the side only to find out that Arlecchino was hugging your waist from behind.
She rested her chin on your shoulder, breathing in. "I recognize this. Lynette taught you?" You nod and return your focus back to the tea, with Arlecchino enjoying the nice and relaxing fragrance as she melts on your shoulder.
"Hey, is.. is everything okay? You seem very tired this whole week," you said.
"It doesn't matter. I have tons of work." she hid her face in the crook of your neck.
"So much that you have to work even on your supposed day off?" you rest your head on top of hers, bringing your hand to comb through her hair.
Arlecchino sighed. "What's the difference? If I don't deal with it now, I'll have to later anyway. I want to finish it as fast as possible, Y/n, so that I would be free sooner."
Ah, so that's what it was. Your wife was overworking herself because she didn't want anything to interfere in her time with you? That was kinda cute, but pretty sad as well..
You finally finished the tea and the both of you sat at the table. You also made sure to prepare Arlecchino's favorite snacks, smiling at her as she was chewing some. When she finished the snack, she noticed how you were looking at her, a little confused: "Do I have something on my face?"..
The poor woman was so tired that she didn't even notice you at the start... That was it!
You leaned in and pecked her cheek. "Now you have my kiss!"
You cringed instantly.
Arlecchino shook her head, chuckling.
After you both finished your tea, you returned to your shared bedroom. Arlecchino instantly sat at her desk, sorting through some documents. She told you that she wanted to prepare them for tomorrow, and join you in the bed after a few minutes. You believed her.
She didn't come to you.
You could hear how aggressive her writing became, and you could hear her deep breathes.
So you got up and walked to the door. "Where are you going?" you heard her voice.
"Just gonna get some water." Arlecchino returned to her papers as you walked out of your room.
You filled a small basin with hot water and took a towel. With those two items, you returned to your and your partner's bedroom, only to find out that she was still consumed with the same thing.
Slightly annoyed by the fact that Arlecchino didn't pay you too much attention, you gently placed your palms on her shoulders.
"Солнце..." you called Arlecchino.
sigh "What is it, ma chérie?" Instead of answering her, you lowered your face to hers and planted a kiss to her cheek. As you straightened up, your fingers found their way to her temples. In your touch, Arlecchino relaxed the tiniest bit, finally straightening up.
"Солнце, if you don't take a proper break you would only become more and more tired," you told her. You couldn't hold yourself back and gave Arlecchino one more kiss, this time at the top of her head as you continued to press your fingers on her temples in a circular motion. You brushed her hair, giving the silver locks a few strokes, before she was able to relax in your touch, leaning on her chair as you stood behind it. Your hands eventually lowered back to rest on her shoulders, and you began kneading the tensed muscles. "I know you only want the best, but you really are going to hurt yourself if you continue like this." For a moment it seemed like Arlecchino wanted to protest, but couldn't find any good words and arguments. Because, in her opinion, you were indeed correct. She was hurting herself with the way she was trying to finish the work as soon as possible. Sadly she only realized how badly she needs a proper break and rest when she made you so worried.
You focused on your work on Arlecchino's shoulders. Up and down, back and forth, you moved your hands, kneading the tired body through the thin silky fabric of her sleepwear. You heard her quiet moan as you hit a point where it hurt the most, pressure of your soft movement easing the stress in tensed muscles. Arlecchino looked heavenly with her eyes closed, eyebrows knitted as she was drowning in the satisfying sensation. Enchanted with the casual and familiar beauty of your wife, you placed another kiss on her cheek.
Then, you remembered about the water you brought a little while ago. You asked Arlecchino to move to the bed, which she did as she on the edge. You kneeled in front of her, placing the basin on the floor.
"What are you doing?" Arlecchino protested as you tried to take one of her shoes off, but you caught her foot and looked right at her.
"Just let me do this for you, зай."
Arlecchino looked conflicted, not sure whether she should let you touch her like this, but also wanting to trust you. After a moment, she relaxed and looked away from you, her cheeks becoming a faint shade of pink.
Returning your eyes to the foot in your hands, you gently took the shoe and sock off, and then repeated the same with her other foot. Arlecchino could practically feel her cheek becoming turning even darker shade of pink, but your soft touch was somehow comforting, even if she was embarrassed to admit it.
You took the towel you prepared earlier and dipped it into water, squeezing the exsess liquid after. Taking one of Arlecchino's feet in your hand, with your other you brushed it with the towel. The water was originally hot, but after some time it cooled down, and now the temperature was slightly warmer than the room. In your opinion, it was perfect.
Why were you doing this? Well, that's an easy question. Your wife loves wearing heels. But doing so for the whole day was extremely tiring. Basically, the reason is the same as for why you would massage her shoulders.
After you cleaned both of her feet, you put the towel aside and held her left one in your hands, stroking the skin with your fingers.
Arlecchino's breathing was becoming deeper as she did her best to calm herself down; you knew that right now she was very vulnerable with you. You didn't want to let her expectations down, and you didn't want to upset her. So you rubbed her carefully and slowly, your touch reaching and clearing all the tense and stress in her body.
There were only the two of you right now. Nothing else mattered. Everything else was forgotten during this unusual, but very intimate session. Being honest, Arlecchino never thought she'd be in this position one day. Receiving a massage from her wife, and then seeing her kneeling in front of her: that was definitely not something she ever imagined. And you never thought you'd ever be here, too.
But neither of you were complaining.
The closeness you two shared right now was something that finally made Arlecchino feel home: wanted and loved, here, with you. But wasn't her longing for you exactly the reason why she was spending less and less time with you? When she thought about it now, her actions seemed silly to her.
Arlecchino brought her hand to you and raised your chin so you'd be facing her. Her dark thumb rubbed your lower lip casually. Now it was your turn to blush, which made Arlecchino smile. She let you go when she was satisfied with your shy expression, and you repeated the massage to her right foot, now feeling Arlecchino completely relaxed.
After you were done, you asked her: "How are you feeling?"
"Better now..." She brought her palm to comb through your hair. "Thanks. I never thought I might need something like this."
You melted into your beloved's touch.
Holding her foot slightly higher you gave it a quick kiss. After that, you stood up and brought the water basin and towel away. You returned to see your wife already lying in bed, and she gently patted the free spot next to her when she saw you coming back. You happily found your way in her arms, combing through her hair as you both drifted off to sleep.

Summary: Maddy thinks the reader is cheating on her
Warnings: Angst, swearing, mentions of cheating, Cassie being a bitch and flirting with the reader, slight mentions of drinking, etc. Words: 1.5k
THIRD PERSON POV
(Y/N) was a pretty quiet person, but could be very talkative if she was comfortable enough. (Y/N) had met Kat during their Freshmen year, they quickly became very close. As they got further into high school, they met more and more people and their friend group started to form. Kat, (Y/N), Lexi, Cassie, Maddy, Jules, and Rue. (Y/N) had set her eyes on Cassie Howard at first, they dated in their Sophomore year for about 3 months, but Cassie got really controlling and a bit crazy too. After that, (Y/N) went through a bit of a depressive episode, because even though Cassie was controlling and crazy, (Y/N) had still loved her. Maddy quickly noticed (Y/N) during this time, so Maddy decided to try and help her through this. Cassie was her best friend after all, so Maddy gave some great advice and became really close with (Y/N). After that (Y/N) developed feelings for Maddy and accidentally blurted it out once while she was drunk. Maddy mentioned it when (Y/N) was sober, and lets just say, it went great. They started dating the summer before Junior year and during Junior year.
It is Sunday, which was always when Maddy and (Y/N) hung out together, they usually went out to different places. Yes, every weekend, but both of them seemed to really love it and if one of them had a bad week, or just had any stress or something bad going on, that's when they would go to the other's house, and have a movie night with their favorite snacks and drinks, whoever was sad or stressed got to pick the movie they watched and got a lot of kisses and cuddles.
"(Y/N) come here!" Maddy yelled from the other side of the store. "Yes, Maddy?"
"You would look so good in this!" Maddy held up a dress, which in (Y/N's) opinion, was very ugly."1. I love you Maddy, but I hate that color. 2. Again, I love you, but I'm gonna be completely honest, that is really ugly."
"Ugh, whatever bitch, it would probably look better on me anyways." Maddy said jokingly, which made (Y/N) give Maddy a look of offense. "Chill out, I'm just joking." Maddy said, then giving (Y/N) a quick peck on the lips.
(Y/N) and Maddy walked around the mall, with their hands intertwined the entire time, until they finished going inside every store that looked appealing to them. As they were about to walk out, Maddy spoke up, "Okay so like I really need to pee, I'm going to find a bathroom before I get a UTI." (Y/N) chuckled at this and just waited for Maddy outside the bathroom. While standing there, (Y/N) thought she had seen a familiar face walk inside a store. The familiar face being Cassie Howard along with her younger sister, Lexi Howard. It was rare for them to get along like this to the point where they actually did stuff together without their friend group, but it happens sometimes. (Y/N's) thoughts are interrupted by Maddy walking out.
"You ready to go?" Maddy asks.
"Yeah"
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine why?"
"You just seem super out of it"
"I'm just kinda tired, Mads. Getting 3 hours of sleep and then drinking an energy drink in the morning, is not the best thing to do, it's starting to catch up with me." (Y/N) says while laughing. Both girls leave the store and get in (Y/N's) car, (Y/N) drops Maddy off at home, goes to her own house, showers, and goes to sleep.
The next morning, (Y/N) got up and got ready for school. When she walked in, she was immediately greeted by her girlfriend.
"Hey!" Maddy yelled as she ran up to (Y/N). "Hi, I got to go to class, okay? I'll see you later!" (Y/N) says. They both say their goodbyes and walk to their classes. (Y/N) was walking to class but quickly got stopped by someone calling her name.
"(Y/N), hey, can we maybe talk for a moment?" (Y/N) turns around, and sees her ex-girlfriend, Cassie Howard. "I guess so, about what?" (Y/N) ask suspiciously, she would have never expected Cassie to be talking to her right now.
"I can tell you're still in love with me, (Y/N)" Cassie says as she grabs (Y/N) by the waist and pulls her closer. "Cassie, what are you talking about, I have a girlfriend, please get your hands off of me." The younger girl says, but Cassie doesn't listen, she lifts up (Y/N's) chin with her finger. "Cassie, stop, I have a girlfriend!"
What neither of them didn't realize, is that Maddy and Lexi had seen the whole thing, Lexi had saw how (Y/N) tried pushing off her sister and wasn't enjoying it, but Maddy on the other hand, didn't realize that (Y/N) wasn't enjoying this, Maddy instead had thought (Y/N) was cheating on her.
"You fucking bitch, did you actually think you could cheat on me and fucking get away with it?!" Maddy yelled at (Y/N). "You know what, (Y/N)? You weren't the fucking shit anyways!" (Y/N) had tears streaming down her face.
"Maddy it's not like that (Y/N) wasn't-" Lexi tried to help (Y/N) out but Maddy shut her up.
"Shut the fuck up, Lexi, this doesn't fucking concern you!" Maddy yelled at the Lexi. "Why the fuck are you crying. You weren't shit (Y/N), you were fucking annoying, and you weren't even that fucking hot either. You were a shitty ass girlfriend, and I hope I never fucking see you again!" Maddy ran to the bathroom with tears in her eyes, (Y/N) fell to the floor with her knees against her chest, uncontrollably sobbing.
"Cassie, why the fuck would you do that?" Lexi yelled at her older sister as she then followed Maddy to the bathroom.
Lexi saw Maddy standing at the sinks, trying to fix her makeup that was a bit messed up since she let a few tears slip. "Maddy?" Lexi tried approaching Maddy calmly to avoid being yelled at again. "I know you don't want me to be talking to you right now, but there is something really important I thought you should know. "What is it?" Maddy says confused and partially annoyed. "(Y/N) wasn't cheating on you, Cassie grabbed her and started being all weird and flirty with her, (Y/N) was trying to push Cassie away, I just thought you should know that." Lexi said which made Maddy's face change to guilt. "Are you sure?" Maddy asked. "Just because Cassie is my sister, doesn't mean I'm always going to take her side, but just trust me, I know (Y/N). She loves you, she would've never done something like that." Lexi before walking out to check on (Y/N).
"Hey, you alright?" Lexi asked (Y/N). "I just don't understand. I mean why did she immediately assume I was doing something wrong, does she not trust me? Did she really mean all those things?" (Y/N) said through tears, Lexi wrapped her arms around her. "She didn't mean any of those things, she was just mad. She may look confident, but deep down she gets scared and insecure. Trust me, she still loves you." Lexi reassured the older girl.
Lexi sat there for a few minutes with her arms wrapped around (Y/N) until Maddy started walking in their direction. "I'll leave you two alone" Lexi walked away and went to her class.
Maddy kneeled down next to (Y/N). "Maddy, I promise I would never do any-" (Y/N) is cut off by a passionate kiss, which was surprising because she thought she was about to be killed. "I'm sorry, I may have assumed a bit too quickly that you still liked Cassie and were cheating on me with her, I just get really scared sometimes? What I said was pretty harsh, and I promise you didn't mean any of it, I was just really mad in the moment. Can you forgive me? I love you."
"I guess I can forgive you, but if anything like this happens again, just please try and ask me about it first instead of yelling, but thank you for apologizing, I love you too." (Y/N) says. "Okay I can try and do that, only for you though, but do you forgive me enough to leave this shitty place and go to my house, we can maybe watch a movie and order food?" (Y/N) smiled at this. "Yeah I do, that sounds great"
Both girls went back to Maddy's house, they both changed into something comfier and laid in Maddy's bed, their bodies intertwined with one another. They stayed like this all day and even after they fell asleep.
A/N Sorry for taking so long to write this, I have been pretty busy 😭😭. Anyways I didn't proofread this because it's 3 in the morning and I have to wake up in 4 hours. Chapter 1. The Invitation
warnings: none
taglist: @miraes-world
A soft sigh left your mouth before you lightly bit your lower lip as you stared at the white card with powder blue accents and at the center, a photo of a little boy sitting in between his big teddy bear’s legs. The corners of your lips curl up into the softest smile possible as you caressed the said photo. “You look so much like Soonyoung, really,” you whisper as if the little boy could hear you.
You didn’t bother to open the card and put it down on your coffee table then grab your phone in exchange.
Soonyoung:
Hope you got the invitation in your mail. Hayoon wanted to bring it personally to you but we were busy in preparations for Hyungjunnie’s christening. See you there, Y/N!
You:
I did, Hosh! I’ll make sure to come. I can’t believe it’s been a year since junnie came.
Soonyoung:
Yeah! So when is our best friend gonna grant our wish and give our junnie a playmate? :(
You:
Tell junnie I'm sorry haha. It'll take a while.
Soonyoung:
We're at that age. You've buried yourself under all the work since...you know...:( why not give love a shot again?
With a shake of your head, you put your phone inside the pocket of your jacket and got up from the couch, not sending any reply to Soonyoung's last text message. Sunday won't be a free day then since you need to go out and get some nice clothes for their son's christening.
While driving to the mall, the deafening silence made you think about the last text message of your friend again. He's right and it's somewhat sad. You like to think that you have completely gotten over the past, just because you don't cry over it anymore. You just didn't want to admit to yourself that your heart still has that wound that wouldn't heal, no matter how much time had already passed, no matter who tried to help you; that it still clenches whenever he passes through your thoughts. You tried. You tried hard. You gave it a try, you gave men chances, but nothing works anymore so you just focused on work, work, and work.
"It's been 3 years," you whispered as you watched the countdown of numbers beside the stoplight. "If we never broke up, would we have had our first born already too?" You slightly chuckle and grab your coffee you got from a drive thru earlier, taking a sip just to wake you up a little bit and stop your silly brain.
The week passed by so fast you hadn't noticed it's already saturday, Hyungjun's christening. Soonyoung had to call you and check up on you, making sure again that you're coming. He checked up multiple times during the weekdays too that you almost feel like you're the one going to be baptized. "Jesus christ, Hosh."
"Okay, okay, sorry. Just asking if you're coming...again. You know, junnie misses you very much." Actually, he's just very worried you wouldn't come after seeing the invitation you didn't even open, which is by the way, missing. You ended the call while rummaging through all the papers on your table, unable to find the invitation. You probably brought it to your office and left it there but whatever, you could come in your pyjamas and Soonyoung and Hayoon would still take you in as they seem so excited for your presence.
As soon as you got your dress on, you slipped on a white pair of high heels and gave yourself one last look on your mirror before hurrying to the parking lot of your flat. You can't understand how you're feeling at the moment, and why it's all mixed up. You drove anyway to the location with your thoughts pushed in the back of your head.
The first thing you see after getting out of your car is Soonyoung walking towards you, followed by Hayoon who's holding Hyungjun's hand as the little boy stumbles, still learning how to walk.
"I'm so glad you came!" Soonyoung spread his arms and you dive into his hug. "We've all been so busy the past months."
"Right. I'm still so glad Soonyoung turned out to be a really responsible dad and husband though," Hayoon pops into the conversation. "Imagine if I had to be a mom and also had to work altogether. At least I get to be with junnie while he grows."
"I know," you chuckle. No, what do you know about being a mom, it's just an expression. "Will you come back to your work when Hyungjun grows a little more?"
"We're planning to just build a business, actually," Hayoon says as you all walk into the church, Hyungjun now carried by you.
The sound of a car making a drift onto a parking space made you turn your head just quickly before turning to your friends again. You couldn't pinpoint what that feeling is again but your breath surely hitched.
A few minutes later, the ceremony starts and you get into the solemn feel of the moment not until the priest ordered the godparents to come in front. As you find your spot, you see him in your peripheral vision. Just to make sure you weren't going insane, you slowly turned your head to your right to fully see the man in white button up and black slacks with his hair pushed back. It's almost as if you have become deaf that moment. The world just stopped and you weren't sure if you're still breathing.
He looked at you and your eyes locked for a few seconds before you broke it as soon as the corners of his lips curled into that smile. That stupid smile that never failed to make all the blood in your body go up to your face. You wanted to leave. You wanted to disappear. But for Hyungjun, for Soonyoung and Hayoon, you needed to stay, and so you did.
Soonyoung and Hayoon noticed how tense you were when everyone was sent back to their seats. They looked at you with worried eyes, and then looked at him.
"What's this?" You mouthed as soon as Soonyoung returned his eyes on you. He raised his palm a bit, enough to signal you that you'll talk about it later.
After the ceremony, you hurried to your car faster than lightning, but not faster than Soonyoung who left his wife and son inside to entertain everyone and the priest. "Hey-"
"I wasn't informed, Kwon Soonyoung."
"I was wondering too," he nods. "Your names were written beside each other in the invitation. You know now why I kept checking if you'd come. I was wondering why you weren't going mad, honestly." Ah, yes, the invitation you lost that you hadn't even got to open. Your shoulders sulked as you leaned back against your car door.
"Hayoon," the woman turned when she heard a man call her name after everyone started to leave. "She's still here? I didn't think she'd come."
"Hey," Hayoon greeted back, holding Hyungjun in her arms tightly. "Soonyoung and I were worried about that too. Looks like she didn't see your name listed there, Wonwoo."
Wonwoo chuckled, remembering that habit of yours to not read details thoroughly. You even accidentally drank expired milk because of that back when you were in highschool.
"Soonyoung probably followed her." Hyungjun stretches his arms to Wonwoo and the man gladly takes him as they walk to the parking lot, his heart instantly warming up.
The moment you see Hayoon approaching with the man carrying the little boy behind her, you grab the handle to your car door but Soonyoung stops you from opening it. "Kwon Soony-"
"Y/N," his voice went into your ears and straight to the void in your heart. Jeon Wonwoo. "It's been so long." Your eyes went from Soonyoung to Wonwoo to Hayoon to Soonyoung to Wonwoo.
"What do you guys want from me?" Almost like a kid throwing tantrums, you whined making them chuckle. You're still that whiny girl they remember even after changing your persona into this tough, independent, workaholic single lady after breaking up with Wonwoo.
A moment of silence fell between the five of you until Hyungjun started throwing an actual tantrum, probably wanting to go home already just like you. "Come here," Soonyoung takes him from Wonwoo and bids goodbye to you. Hayoon does the same, leaving you and Wonwoo like they didn't just set you up into this. And so you were left in yet the most awkward position you've ever been in your life, standing face to face with your ex.
"Hey," you both say, your voice almost coming out as a soft whisper. Wonwoo slips his hands into his pockets and presses his lips against each other into a thin line. "I didn't think you'd come," you both say again, getting surprised at how your minds still sync.
"I actually didn't see the invitation."
"I was thinking if you read my name, you'd cancel."
"'course I would." You roll your eyes and turn to open your door, finally, but you're stopped again by Wonwoo's hand on your arm this time. "Can you not fucking touch me?"
"Can you not curse on me?" His stern voice made you turn your head. "I want a peaceful talk and you're making it hard. Are you still mad after all those years? Can you hear me out? Or, can we at least be civil this time?"
Yes, you're still mad after all those years. And no, you don't wanna hear him out and have everything come crushing your heart again. Also no, you can't stay civil with him because you'd go insane with him being so close yet so far. "I hate you. So much. Jeon Wonwoo."

ENJOY!!!
"You owe me." You said as you pulled your truck down the bumpy road to old John Routledge's road, bouncing around in the cabin as you drove, the little air freshener hanging off of your rear view mirror swaying wildly.
Fall was just on the cusp, colored leaves threating the ground as you turned on your blinker, a stickler for not having Shoupe stop you for some miniscule traffic stop on such a fine day if he were around trying to make quota.
"Yeah yeah."
"I mean it this time!" You voiced. You weren't just some limo service or cabbie on The Cut but Pope was technically family, your parents being his parents best friends before either you or the young man shaking around in the passenger seat were born some twenty odd years ago. He had passed his written but not the actual behind the wheel test just yet.
"I said yeah!" Pope grumbled, grabbing an overnight and a large water bottle from the back before he hopped out, giving the door a hearty slap to send you on your way.
"I'll pick you up on Sunday. And hey, Pope?"
"Yeah?" He stopped, holding his pillow.
You pointed at him from the inside, JJ gave you a little wave with two beer cans in hand before jogging down towards the watery bank. "Be safe." ....
Leaning forward you could see the clouds rolling in, a storm was on its' way and you wanted to get home before it hit. You turned down the radio as if that would help in your beat up truck. At the stop sign you saw someone trudging their way along the bank, no sidewalk was in place at this corner of the street. You slowed and made your turn, headlights illuminating a tall, familiar form. Reaching over you rolled down the passenger window.
"I know that's not Rafe Cameron on my side of the island." You called, putting the truck into park with the flashers on, just in case.
Rafe slowed to a stop, hands in his pockets before answering with a quiet "Hey."
"Hey, yourself. What, Barry's not home?"
"Oh he's home."
"Where's your truck?" You looked around at the empty street, a stray cat ducking underneath one of the parked cars on his side of the street.
"My dad drove it home."
"Without you?" You asked once you hopped out, that blue polo that brought out his eyes sat nice and tight over his chest, clearly he'd been working out with his buddies at the Country Club doing him justice.
"Yes without me, Y/N!" Rafe gestured around with his hands then his chest. "Do you see his ass around here anywhere? Why do you care anyway, just go  home."
"Relax, tough guy." You chuckled and came to the side, hands up in defense. "It's late, gonna' get even darker soon, you should probably get inside somewhere."
"I'm a big boy Y/N, I can take care of myself thanks."
"Maybe on Figure Eight, but out here..." You motioned around with a shake of your head. “There's six stray dogs three blocks from here, alone. Get in the truck." You motioned with your head, the soft music from the truck traveling just enough for you to know it was a song worth missing. "You want me to take you home?"
"That's the problem." Rafe sighed and bit his bottom lip.
"What is?"
"Fuck, you're nosy!" Rafe shouted, when you took a step back he rubbed at his smooth face, pointing to you then the darkening sky, then to himself. It's not like you two were ever considered friends, forced to partner up in class a handful of times, did a few shotguns at the Boneyard, maybe played a round of Cornhole but not friends. Especially knowing what he thought of Pogues in the first place, he was classist and his attitude spoke volumes.
"I don't... I don't have a home to go to. Not anymore. My dad kicked me out tonight, paid off what I owed Barry and... he just, he just fucking left me here! I have no way to get back to the Eight, it's fucking dark as shit, I'm cold." Rafe rattled on, emotional rollercoaster and it made you worried when you saw the tears in his eyes, he was lost. "I try, alright? I'm not the best son, yeah, I know that but I'm trying here. Trying to make my father proud, I'm out here fighting for my family and what does he do? Chucks me out like I don't matter. But I do matter Y/N, maybe not to you but I fucking matter and instead of cleaning up everyone else's messes, I wish someone would give me a little validation, a little 'Thank You Rafe'. Would it kill 'em, huh? I'm a very proactive type person you know? Just-- sometimes I wish someone would just ask me if I'm ok, ya' know?"
Rafe sniffled and wiped at his eyes before looking at you again, expelled of most of his energy Rafe bent over and hugged his knees. That was the most he's ever said to you and you felt bad, not sorry, per se, for the man before you. You just felt bad that he had a house full of people, siblings and friends and yet here he was out on The Cut breaking down and venting to a Pogue.
It made him seem less scary and boisterous, made him human.
With a sigh you closed the gap, not sure if you should touch him but you did, softly. Rafe slowly stood, blue eyes fixed on where your hand was on his cool shoulder.
"Rafe. Are you ok?"
Rafe swallowed his pride and pursed his lips and shook his head, dirty blonde strands sweeping across his brow. "No. No Y/N I am not ok, I am so not ok."
"You wanna' know what I think?"
"Sure. Shoot."
"I think you're fucking tired. No; more like fucking exhausted." Rafe looked somewhat relieved, you could see him working things out in his brain, squinting in the moonlight. You made up your mind as the words left your lips. "Alright, I'm taking you home."
"Home? Did you not hear a fucking thing I just said?! I just poured my heart out to you and--"
"Relax. I'm not taking you to your house; I'm taking you to mine." You announced, crossing the road to hop back into your truck, waving for Rafe to follow with fluid steps.
....
"Well, you've got three options Mr. Cameron. Anywhere on the floor is free, the couch which also turns into a full though it's a little lumpy so... or you can sleep on the right side."
Your house wasn't a mansion by any means, just a cozy one level you decorated over the years. Rafe clearly hadn't been this far on the OBX by the he was looking around like a tricked dog going to vet and not a car ride. He stood next to you, his height made him look like a giant inside your small angular living room.
He shoved his hands in his pockets again.
"The right side of what?"
"Of me."
Rafe choked and gave you a set of neatly furrowed brows.
"We're adults Rafe, we can sleep in the same bed."
"I know that I just... I haven't slept with anyone in a long time."
"That's shocking." You snorted and turned on another lamp, kicking off your boots and tossing your purse to an ottoman.
"Hey, thanks. But... why are you being nice to me?"
"Someone should," You shrugged and looked at him trying not to take up space as he looked around. "There's some pizza in the fridge if you want, figure out where you're gonna' sleep. I'm gonna' take a shower."
Rafe just nodded and continued perusing your things.
....
"He's where?!" Pope shouted, dropping his side of the cooler you were helping him carry into the back room of his dad's business.
"Calm down, it's just Rafe, not some psycho killer." You grunted and hefted up the heavy box, walking backward but making sure every ten feet or so you wouldn't trip and break something.
"Actually I'd feel better about some stranger being there than Rafe fucking Cameron in your house!"
"Language!" Heyward called out from the register, a pencil behind his ear when you passed by.
"Sorry, Pop. I'm serious though, get him out of there."
"He's not going anywhere. He doesn't even have a car, it's just for a few days I'm sure."
"A few days? Is your head on straight?," You held in your chuckle when Pope's voice cracked at his exclamation, his eyes narrowing. "This is Rafe Cameron we're talking about here, the biggest bully of every Pogue since he's been alive probably! And he's staying at your house, on The Cut... hell Y/N he even bullied you when you went to school with him!"
"I think he's misunderstood." It  was true but that was how long ago now? You and Pope brought the cooler down gently and you dusted your hands off on the smooth apron you wore over your clothes.
"I think he's fucking crazy!"
"Pope, don't make me come back there!"
"Sorry." Pope apologized again with a sigh. Your friend touched your shoulder and pointed a finger at you as if he were the older of the pair. "If he tries anything..."
"Right. I'll be sure to let you know." You chuckled and finished unloading the latest shipment.
....
"Are you playing Jenga... by yourself?" You smiled, Rafe's big body was sitting on the floor of your living room, just pulling out a middle block when you got home. It was strange to see someone in your house after living alone for so long, let it be the Kook King himself. Rafe pushed back his hair, ready to make his next move.
"What else am I gonna' do?" Rafe rolled his eyes.
"I'm surprised you're not wasting your battery on your phone. Call up one of your buddies to take you instead of me."
You noticed how he worked his jaw and cracked his neck, placing the block to the top of the tower. "Got a little silly waiting to see if my dad would call so I turned it off. If he wanted me home, I would be."
"How long do you think you're gonna' hang around The Cut now that you're an honorary Pogue and all?"
"I'm not a Pogue." Rafe snapped.
"I wouldn't be so sure," You made a face and joined him on the floor, taking a block of your own before responding. "Let's see... you got in a blowout with a parent, check. Their giving you the silent treatment for emphasis of how much they stand by said statement, double check. You got kicked out of the house and all of your lovely amenities and are crashing on someone's couch, triple check. And by all those accounts, that definitely has Pogue written all over it!"
"Oh fuck off."
"You can stay as long as you need to, if you need a ride somewhere just ask."
You watched the block of choice slide out.
"I can drive, ya' know?"
"Yeah, your truck, not mine."
"I'm not gonna' total it! I need to get some clothes at least, I've never worn the same outfit two days in a row in my life. Gross."
"Oh shut up, live a little. You don't have to prove anything to me, Rafe. I know you." You said and took your turn.
Rafe's next words made you second guess the blonde.
"Nobody knows me."
....
"I don't understand why we waited until after midnight to come here." You voiced and parked your truck at the front of Tanny house, Rafe sighed and told you to be quiet.
"Because I don't want to see my dad, or any Cameron right now," Rafe huffed and pushed open the creaky passenger door. "I won't be long, just gonna' grab a few things alright? don't ditch me."
You watched him cut a short jog through the yard.
Tapping your fingers on the steering wheel you waited, why you didn't really know. The guy was home, Ward was probably over stewing about kicking out his only son. All you had to do was drive off but something about Rafe being sullen and human, a different version you got to witness was intriguing, a mystery. You didn't mind the company either, you reasoned. Especially handsome company.
With that smooth jaw and square chin, you remembered that odd zing, that scrape up your spine when you saw him sweet talking some naïve girl at the Boneyard. What was he saying to them to have them bat their lashes and gloss their lips, cock their heads and laugh with him. Or was he laughing at them? Too vulnerable to know they were in the clutches and paw of a serial predator.
Especially when they flirted over how much coke forty bucks could get them.
You were ripped from your memories when the door creaked open once more, Rafe had grabbed a red duffel bag and held it in his lap when he got back in. You snorted when you realized he had made himself a quick sandwich, holding it in his mouth.
To your surprise he offered the rest to you on your drive back over the bridge. ....
A few days turned into two weeks. It was strange how easily you two interacted, understood the silence, domesticated Rafe Cameron was something you thought didn't exist. Let alone picture.
He was the enemy for most of your life and here you were, watching the way his fingers moved and flexed while he rolled a joint. Stargazing in your little backyard. The lighter took a few tries before he lit it, inhaling the smoke with a satisfied smile before he passed it to you.
"Do you think I'm a bad person?" Rafe asked when half the joint was gone, making you sit up.
"Do you think you're a bad person?"
"I'm asking you." Rafe sniffed and took the joint from your hand.
"If you had asked me a few years I would've said you were the worst," Rafe snapped his head to you but shrugged, knowing it was true. He was an asshole. "But... I wouldn't let you stay with me if I thought you were."
Rafe clicked his teeth and took the last full drag, putting it out on a used pasta sauce lid. "Nobody wants me."
"What?"
"I haven't heard from my dad since I got here," Raffe shrugged again, holding onto his knees and digging the heels of his shoes into the ground. "He texted me once though, last Saturday, asking if I was safe. I tried calling Top and Kelce... said I couldn't stay with them either."
You frowned. "Do they know where you are?"
"They know but they don't care," Rafe smoothed back his hair with both hands and bit the inside of his cheek. "Maybe I'm as bad as everyone thinks. Might as well be the villain, somebody has to be."
You were unraveling the layers that made up Rafe Cameron without even knowing, all he really needed was someone to listen to him. To hear him out, to entertain his venting and let him clear his head. You wondered if he had any real friends at all, if they'd change the subject or ignore his feelings all together. Maybe that's why he wanted to stay with you, you saw him.
"I think you're crazy," Rafe snorted and gave you a look when you bumped your shoulder against his own. "You're not a bad man Rafe, you've got demons like everyone else. Let's not waste a good buzz so," you laid back on the grass, tucking your hands behind your head. "Now, show me which constellations you know."
Rafe chuckled, a genuine and foreign sound that felt like bells ringing. "I don't know any."
"Sure you do! Everyone knows at least two-- so show me."
"Alright alright." Rafe shook his head and laid down next to you. A light wash of his cologne puffed up around you that made your mouth water, or maybe you were just high. You smiled when he wiggled a little closer, crossing his ankles and pointing up to the night sky, clearly making up constellations as the night went on.
Another thing you'd never thought you would hear, or be anywhere near was his real laughter.
....
You balanced the grocery bags in your arms, not paying attention to anything other than not tripping, breaking any eggs or--
"Alright man, I'll catch ya' later!"
You looked up just in time to see Barry hop down your front steps after shutting the door.
"Barry?"
"Oh hey there lover," Barry chided and wiggled his fingers at you. "So it is true, then huh? You and Country Club shackin' up, playin' house and shit."
"It's not like that." You gripe and walk a little further, gripping the handles on a slipping bag.
"Not what I heard," Barry flashed a smile and wink that made you shake your head as he swing his keys around his fingers. "You two play nice now!"
"Fuck off." You said and hopped the night air brought your words to his ears as he chuckled and you went into your house.
You didn't see Rafe when you came in, kicking the door shut behind you and made your way into the kitchen. Your poor fingers were numb as you flexed them and looked around the kitchen. You were just about to call out to him when you heard Rafe instead. Sniffing; in your room.
"Just one more... one more and you'll be set. You'll be squared away, yeah? Be a man... be a man."
You just tapped the door with your foot and a jumbled mess that was Rafe Cameron jumped away from your dresser making it shake.
"Oh hey! You're home!" Rafe wiped his face and covered the line of coke on the old wood. "I was uh I was waiting for you."
"For what? Why are you in my room?"
Rafe looked around for a moment, touching his chest. That damn blue striped shirt of his that made his eyes glow, or maybe it was the coke he was doing. He seemed just as confused as you were to be in your space. Since he'd been 'shacking up', as Barry had said, Rafe had been a gentleman and crashed on the couch. A few nights he was face down, shirtless and shivering when you passed him to go to the bathroom, covering him up on your way back to your room.
"Um I wanted to talk to you."
"About letting Barry come over when I have no recollection of telling you you could just bring home strays." You crossed your arms over your chest.
"Barry isn't a stray, Y/N! God... I'm sorry sorry, he's ya' know. A friend. And I um, I needed said friends' advice so yeah. I invited him over, just for a little bit though," Rafe rushed out to say, gesturing with his hands, jittery.
"Whatever," you shrugged. "Just don't leave that shit around, I'm not judging you just... gimmie’ a heads up." You said and went to put away the groceries. "I'm gonna' talk to my dad." Rafe said from the door jam of the kitchen, biting at his nails.
"That's good, when?"
"I was thinking tonight actually um," Rafe bit at his lips before coming closer and putting a box of chips on top of the fridge for you. "I wanna' do it person so... would you mind like, giving me a ride later?"
You stopped and looked up at him, a questioning and honest smile on his face. "Sure. Just let me know when ok?"
"Ok... ok yeah. Thanks."
Then it happened.
The most bizarre and peculiar event of your entire life happened in an instant. Maybe it was genuine, a long time coming, some pining affection or honestly, the coke but... Rafe hugged you. Like a real hug, both of his long arms reached around your neck, his face inches from your own. The warm smell of his cologne a burst in your face, surrounding you like a cloud of intimacy. What seemed like forever you reached out and touched his back.
"Seriously, thank you.”
"Yeah. Sure..." You said in a daze, stepping back when Rafe took out his phone and hurriedly went to the living room.
"You sure you want me to come in?" You asked once the two of you pulled into the Tanny Hill drive, not out on the street as your previous visit.
"Yeah, why not?" Rafe shrugged and hopped out and gave you a look that told you to hurry. "I don't know how long this is gonna' take so."
"If you say so.”
Ward looked you up and down, a small smile behind his beard when you two walked in. A flash of light streaked through the night sky, a distant rumble in the distance. Rose got you something to drink.
"So you're the elusive Y/N then," Ward finally stuck out his hand, watching his son rub the back of his neck next to you. "Nice to meet you and thank you for taking care of my boy. So, I assume he's been bouncing around between friends this month, hmmm?"
"You didn't tell him?" You shot Rafe a glance.
"I um, Rafe's been staying with me... the whole month."
"The whole--" Ward scoffed and looked at his son. "Interesting. And he hasn't been any trouble?"
"I'm right here, dad." Rafe huffed.
"I know son, I just wanna' make sure you're not making trouble for this little lady here too. We'll talk in my office," Ward said and grabbed onto Rafe's shoulders, ushering him further into the estate leaving you behind with a glass on iced lemon water from Rose. "Thank you again Y/N."
"So," Rose sweetly smiled and walked through the downstairs living room, which was about the size of most of your house. "How was the monster?"
"Excuse me?"
"Rafe. That terror of a boy, I tell you Y/N it has been a blessing not having him torturing the house lately. I mean, he's mostly in his room but when he's not, oh God help me. Always slithering around, looking for Ward's constant approval is very exhausting."
"That's kind of rude."
Pieces to the puzzle were fitting together why Rafe was reluctant to come home, to be around people who didn't trust him as far as they could throw him. Maybe that's why he always acted out. Hurt people tended to hurt people.
"Please," Rose snorted and began to walk off. "He knows all this, I've told him several times."
Once she was out of sight you decided you didn't like this woman, and it would not be the end of the world if you never spoke to her again.
You jumped when a cracked of thunder boomed through the house, rattling the chandelier above your head in the hallway you had found yourself in. Looking at paintings and family photos, one was even an old fashioned portrait.
The water was long gone, just melting ice cubes at this point when the rain started to come in, pattering and streaking down the windows. You stood by one, watching the rain fall, little flashes of lightning bloomed above. A nice night.
You got lost in the steady rhythm building up outside, when a rather bright and far closer bolt of lightning struck near the house you caught Rafe's reflection in the window. He was quick to meet you there. He took your hand.
"Come with me."
"Where?"
"Just come on." Rafe smirked and led you up the winding staircase, you'd never seen so many in your life. How did they manage to get any kind of furniture up these things? You slipped but caught your step, holding on to Rafe's arm. There was another flight of stairs up above it seemed when you stopped on a landing.
"Rafe, what's going on?" You asked once secure and hidden in his room. "What happened?"
"Dad said as long as I keep my nose clean and work hard, he'll let me come home," Rafe smiled and wiped his mouth with both hands. "I'm gonna' do it this time. I have to," Rafe tapped his head then turned to you, placing his heavy hands on your shoulders. "He said he's proud of me. That I've been on a good path since you found me. I'm gonna' get my shit together. For real this time."
"Rafe, you don't have to explain yourself to me."
"I know that, I know. I just... you've been there for for whatever reason, that's on you," Rafe joked and roped you into another embrace, resting his cheek on the crown of your head. "You get me. You saw me, the real Rafe and you didn't run for the fucking hills. Most people don't."
"Well you are an asshole."
There was a brief second where you wondered if saying that was such a good idea but then you felt him laugh through you.
"True. I'm not the nicest guy, unless you're around I guess."
"I'll take the compliment."
It felt strange but a good strange, squeezing him around the waist when a loud crack of thunder sounded again, signally you should maybe take off before it gets too bad to see. Hydroplaning was not on your To-Do list today.
"Well I'm glad it worked out, you were a pretty decent roommate." Rafe let you go but stayed still in front of you. "I should probably head out."
"Why?"
You frowned and looked at the window, pointing to it. "Cause it's raining, have you looked outside?"
"Yeah I know it's raining, pretty hard actually so why are you trying to leave?"
"Do you... do you want me to stay?"
"Yeah, that's kinda' why I brought you up here." Rafe scoffed. "And to give you this."
If you would've have been told senior year Y/N that some kicked-rock-down-the-street years later you would be in Rafe Cameron's room on a rainy night, in his arms and kissing him; you would've backhanded them on sight.
But, as things played out, that's exactly when happened. You knew you were in big trouble the minute Rafe held your head in his hands, blinking down his nose at you it made your stomach flip. You opened your mouth to say something, anything at this point but all that came out was a whine when he kissed you.
You grabbed on to his arms, your poor knees from working so hard and climbing all those steps, threatened to give way if you didn't. Rafe didn't stop, catching you and holding you up and flush against him.
....
"You're so nice, so fucking nice to me ya' know that?" Rafe breathed into the soft, bare skin of your neck. You ran your hands up and down his back, feeling him tense and tremble against you sitting in his lap.
"Someone has to be."
Rafe paused and grabbed the back of your neck, bringing you back to nose level. "You said that before."
You smiled and cupped his face, he nuzzled into it. "You're so touch starved, aren't you?"
"Us Cameron's aren't big on affection." Rafe admitted and wiggled beneath you, he was straining against the seam of his boxers, you could feel his cock engorging and growing hot. You weren't fairing any better, you knew if you moved them aside your slick would be glistening.
"That's a shame but that means," you hunched over and whispered into his ear. "I get to be real good to you. I'll touch you anyway you want, however you want me too baby, you got it."
Rafe groaned and stole a sloppy, teeth clicking kiss. You smiled against his mouth, moving up to your knees quickly and peeled down your panties, adding them to the pile.
Rafe's thighs were ticklish, spreading his long legs almost cost you a black eye! He apologized but let you rub your hands up and down his skin, giving them each a squeeze, your eyes focused on his cock. The outline alone had you salivating, it jumped when you kissed his hip, taking a fresh bite of the meat you found there.
Rafe fisted his sheets, clenching his teeth he kept his eyes on you, boring into your swift movements, voicing how good it felt. He whined when you finally put your mouth on him, a sound of relief when you wrapped your hand around what didn't fit, the rest disappearing into your mouth.
You'd had reactions of course, you know what you were doing but the way Rafe made it sound was he was in heaven.
"Fuck that's so God damn good, so pretty like that. Fuck." Rafe groaned when you swallowed him further, his stomach muscles tightening when you dragged up your free hand, nails gently scratching his too warm chest. You clenched your walls around nothing as he caught your wrist, gave it a slight tug and soon you were feeling the inside of his mouth on your fingertips.
You gagged, on purpose a long line of spit joining your mouth to his cock, you had to see what he looked like. Eyes shut, both hands now gripped your wrist while he savored having your fingers in his mouth. His mouth pleased around them, he looked content. Happy.
You kissed the crown of his cock and moved to lay on your side, resting a leg over his hip. He looked so dreamy, long lashes and blown out blue eyes, he pulled your fingers from his mouth and sat up on his elbow.
"You're a total smoke show." Rafe praised and grabbed your hip before you pulled him over to you for a kiss.
"Finger me." You whined and bit your lip, watching a true grin morph on his face. He gave you a nod that spoke of 'you got it' as he spread your lips. Those long fingers of his had you quickly covering your mouth, they reached new heights and depths you hadn't felt touched before. He liked that and wedged in a third finger, you rolled you eyes feeling the cool metal of his ring meet the hood of your clit every other thrust.
"How's that, pretty thing? That feels so fucking good when you squeeze my fingers like that."
"Dammit Rafe," your walls instantly gripped them, "I'm gonna' cum if you keep that up."
"That's kinda' the point," Rafe snickered and moved to kiss you, hovering just out of reach. He backed up just out in time for your lips to miss. You groaned. "Don't worry baby, I've got you. I'm gonna' make you cum more than one time tonight, I can tell you that."
You grabbed the back your leg, his fingers thrusting at a different angle that had you seeing spots, you couldn't shut your eyes though, the view was too perfect to miss. Rafe finally kissed you then, could feel you pulsating around his thick fingers.
You felt it, that riptide of satisfaction coming into view, you cupped the back  of his head, making sure he didn't tease you again with the threat of a kiss as you came, moaning his name as a chant. The aftershocks threw you off, good God was he good at that. You let your leg drop as you caught your breath.
"You're gonna' kill me." You said in between breaths, shivering with a passing rumble of thunder.
Rafe chuckled against your cheek. "Would it be too much to ask to fuck you?"
This time you laughed. "Oh baby, you're not gonna' fuck me," you patted his cheek and rolled him over, beaming when he instantly put his hands on your thighs. "I'm gonna' fuck you."
In a rush Rafe pointed to the bedside table, rummaging in the drawer for a condom, thankfully you found it and tore it open. As you sat up on your knees, watching Rafe roll it out and onto himself, you looped an arm around his neck, scratching the fine hairs on the back of his head. He shuddered when you did it again.
You brought him to you, both of you in a sitting position before you wiggled and rolled and angled your body down to take his cock. Rafe had a creased brow and open mouth, flipping between watching your pleasure and where his cock was disappearing inside you.
"Holy fuck!"
You clapped a hand over his mouth and shushed him. "Calm down."
His mouth was moving and tickling your palm so you moved it away momentarily. "What?"
"I said I can't help it, jeez baby you just took all that cock like a fucking champ." Rafe held you close to his chest, bare and hot and sweaty. There was no place you'd rather be, you held his face to your neck and you knew he'd leave a bite or two if you let him. "Fuck me, baby."
"You want it?" You smoothed back his hair as you ground yourself against him. "Tell me you want it."
"I want it, want it so fucking bad. I want you so fucking bad, driving me fucking crazy here. Could fuck all day." Rafe raggedly said against your throat.
"I'm all yours."
....
His hand on your throat felt dangerous and comforting as he fucked up into you, foreheads resting and moving together in tandem, both of you a total mess for each other.
"Rafe..."
"I don't want to lose you. You see me, you know me. I want this, I want you." Rafe struggled, giving your neck another squeeze his hips bucking up.
"You said... fuck baby that's so fucking good-- you said no one-"
"Fuck what I said! You know me, the real me. Stay, please stay. I'll be good I swear." Rafe whined when licked into his mouth, capturing that pouty bottom lip that was ranking higher and higher of your favorite things list.
"I'll stay."
Rafe was full of surprises as he slipped a hand between you, using the pad of his thumb he pressed and circled your clit and bit into the side of your tit.
"I'm gonna' cum!"
"Cum for me, I need it I need it I need..." You yelped, losing yourself and your voice.
....
"I've never fucked like that before." Rafe admitted when you got out of the bathroom, thankful that he had his own. You laughed pulling on the shirt you'd helped him out of from the floor and got back into bed.
"And you won't," you laughed into his shoulder.
"I'm pretty sure no one fucks like you and I don't wanna' find out," he settled down and cupped your head in the crook of his elbow. Musing to himself and now to you. "I'll be good, from now on I'm straight. I'm gonna' do it this time."
"I'm with you."
Rafe craned his neck a little at the same time as you tilted your head for a sleepy kiss, the storm fading fast. "So you'll stay?"
"I'll stay."

Eddie Munson x reader
Old fic clearing out drafts(so there might be spelling errors n stuff)
Description: reader ends up likes Eddie but hes to obsessed with Chrissy. But y’all gon end up with gareth cuzz I like fluffy haird men
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eddie was being distant with everyone,the only time people got talked to him the most was at lunch. Ever since the deal with Chrissy,Eddie’s been all over her. Letting her sit next to him everywhere,even your spot next to him at hellfire and lunch. You new seat was next to Gareth. You talked to him a lot,about mostly everything.
You told him about your feelings toward Eddie,he just told you he had feels for another girl in his math class. Today wasn’t different. Eddie had Chrissy right by his side during lunch as you sat next to Gareth again. “Every think this is gonna end?”Gareth said while tossing a chip in his mouth “hopefully… I can’t even catch him alone. When he is he doesn’t listen” you said annoyed. Out the corner of your eye you can see Eddie getting up heading out of the lunchroom. “Im gonna ask him now” you said getting up,you were gonna ask Eddie out to some milkshakes or just to hang out anyway.
“Eddie! Wait!” You ran up to catch up to him “what” he said with a sigh “I- uhm wanted to ask if we or you wanted to hang out?.. like go get-“ he cut you off “got plans with Chrissy,she’s coming over” “ oh,maybe we can plan it Sunday?” He wouldn’t have anything to do right? “Teaching Chrissy how to play the guitar.” He said obviously not interested at all in hanging out with you “well when are you free?” “Look.. your a nice person-“ no fucking way. Hes giving the classical ‘no I don’t like you,leave me alone’ “and I just don’t think we would work” he finished talking but you weren’t really listening to lost in your thoughts
“ oh ok” you said coldly “see you later Eddie” you were now walking back to the lunchroom,you weren’t sad,maybe a little but mostly mad. You knew Eddie 5 more years then Chrissy did. Why would he go for her?
•time skip•
Eddie left with Chrissy and gareth was driving you home. You told him what happened with a few tears slipped. “He’s an Asshole” gareth mumbled loud enough to were I could hear. “No shit” you mumbled back. You sighed as you sat up looking at your street name. “Bye gareth” you said as you picked up you bag and opened the door. “I’ll take you out for milkshakes?.” He said as you stepped out the car. You could hear the nervousness in his voice but it was sweet “sounds…nice” you smiled “cool, I’ll pick you up..or after school?” You shrugged “we can skip, pick me up at 9” “ok” you can see the excitement i his eyes. You both said your goodbyes then you walked inside right into your room.
You where happy that Eddie found someone.and that you found someone..maybe Gareth didn’t clarify if it was a date. You still felt a tiny bit sad about Eddie but it was filled with anger. He went for a cheerleader,that he first met selling weed to the cheerleader for her boyfriend. It doesn’t make any sense he gave up you, 5 years,comforted him when he got bullied,his uncle thought you were amazing for Eddie,but he chose a cheerleader, 5 days, hasn’t even meant his uncle, has or had a boyfriend.
You sighed, but you knew you were gonna get back at Eddie.
New a/n: I’ll post the pt.2 later today( if I can find it I have over 57 drafts rn)

Sinful Sunday Request, your writing is amazing😊!!!! Just thinking about Sekido with a fem! S/o, who has a personality that is his complete opposite. Gentle, caring, patient, the whole nine yards. At least, that is what the other clones see. In the bedroom though? She is an absolute dominating beast who is not afraid to hurt Sekido (we all know this man is a huge masochist so it works very well for him). She is not afraid to make him bleed, to mark him completely to the point where even his regeneration is slowing down, he's a complete mess, and he knows that she doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon, not that he's complaining......... he was being a brat anyways so this is very well deserved. What can he say? The thought of such punishments excite him.
Bonus if she can all but rival his strength. A woman who is patient with him, but not afraid to hurt him and toss him around? Yes please.

SINFUL SUNDAY
Nestled near the outskirts of an ancient village, surrounded by the whispers of rustling leaves and the distant hum of nature, was a quaint hut that Sekido and his fellow clones called home. This secluded spot provided a semblance of solace from the demands of their training and the prying eyes of others.
Living amidst these otherworldly beings tested the boundaries of your understanding and patience on daily basis.
That evening, you found yourself seated in the corner, desperately trying to mend a tear in your worn-out cloak. The room was charged with tension as the clones became increasingly aggressive, locked in a heated argument about the latest mission assigned to Hantengu by Lord Muzan.
Urogi scowled, vehemently declaring, "This mission was a suicide run! Lord Muzan was testing us, and I wouldn't fall for it!"
Karaku, equally enraged, retorted, "You were just a coward, 'Rogi. We needed to prove ourselves. I wouldn't back down from any challenge, khe-khe!"
Their voices clashed, filling the room with a palpable sense of discord. Aizetsu attempted to mediate, saying, "All of you, calm down! We needed a strategy, not a shouting match. Let's think this through. Your argument is making me so sad."
Sekido scoffed, "Strategy, eh? We should've just charged in and been done with it, for fuck's sake. None of this overthinking nonsense!"
You, realizing that your attempts at sewing were futile amidst the chaos, decided to interject. "Hey, could you all just take a breather and figure this out calmly? You were on the same team, after all?"
Urogi shot you an annoyed glance. "Stay out of this, human. This was none of your business."
Sekido's face contorted with anger as he unleashed a torrent of furious words at Urogi, who had spoken to you in a disrespectful manner. "What the hell do you think you're doing, talking to her like that? Have some damn respect!"
You, attempting to maintain composure, interjected, "Hey, guys, let's calm down. There's no need for this argument."
Ignoring your attempt to defuse the situation, Urogi shot back at Sekido, "Mind your own business, Sekido! I can talk to this bitch however I want."
Sekido, now incensed, raised his voice even louder, "No one talks to her like that, you idiot, but me! She's fucking mine. Show some decency!"
You stepped in again, blinking as you heard Sekido's words. "Excuse me?! Let's just stop this shit, now."
Your attempts at diplomacy fell on deaf ears, and soon, Sekido was screaming at you, his frustration reaching a boiling point. The room echoed with the intensity of their argument, leaving you caught in the crossfire of a heated confrontation that seemed to have no end in sight. Sighing, you acknowledged that your sewing project would have to wait as you couldn't focus anymore.
The clones continued their heated debate, each voice contributing to the chaotic symphony of dissent.
Eventually, Sekido, with a brooding expression, retreated to his bedroom, the door closing firmly behind him.
As time passed, the rest of the clones dispersed to their own rooms, seeking solace in the privacy of their thoughts. The echoes of the confrontation still resonated, leaving a palpable sense of unease in the air.
After a moment, when the corridors had cleared, you cautiously made your way to Sekido's door. There was a tentative knock, and then you entered, finding him sitting on his futon.
As you entered the dimly lit bedroom, the atmosphere shifted. The facade of the caring and patient partner you portrayed around his counterparts transformed into a subtle anticipation that hung in the air.
Sekido, though accustomed to the dichotomy, felt a heightened sense of awareness.
The moment the door closed behind you, the gentle exterior gave way to a commanding presence. "Strip," you commanded, your voice echoing in the confined space. The flicker of candles cast dancing shadows across the room.
Sekido, though stoic, followed your directive without protest, in silence. He turned to you, a question forming on his lips, but you silenced him with a single, demanding look.
The air thickened with anticipation as you approached, your movements deliberate and purposeful as you took off your attire, letting it fall to the ground. It was a side of you that Sekido both feared and craved.
"Get on your knees," you commanded, your tone leaving no room for negotiation.
The red-eyed deamon, though initially taken aback, complied without hesitation, his eyes locking onto yours.
You reached the small closet where you stored your belongings as Sekido watched, silently awaiting your next move. You retrieved the leather whip from its place. Upon returning to Sekido, you admonished him, "You've behaved poorly today, speaking to me disrespectfully in the presence of your peers."
Slap! A swift crack echoed through the air as the leather whip struck his left shoulder, leaving a small cut that began to seep blood.
Sekido's expression contorted into a disapproving frown. "Do you believe that striking me with this implement will leave any impact, woman? You're nothing more than a weakling, after all."
Slap! The whip found its mark on his right shoulder, and this time the impact carried more strength and calculation.
"Conduct yourself and communicate with me in a manner befitting, or I won't be as lenient next time!" You warned. Then you walked up to Sekido and knelt in fron of him, taking his cock in your hand. "Already hard I see," you commented. "You like being my bitch, don't you?"
"Yes, mistress," the demon replied truthfully; his cock growing even harder as you held it in the palm of your hand.
"I can tell," you said as you wrapped your fingers round his dick and gave it a loving squeeze.
Sekido let out a pathetic whimper. He experienced a profound sense of discomfort – a demon subjected to degradation at the hands of a mere human! Despite his intense aversion to the situation, there existed an unsettling pleasure in the sensation.
"On the futn," you ordered, and Sekido obeyed.
After he reclined, you knelt beside him, taking his dick in your hand and gently stroking it. "I expect an apology for today," you asserted.
Reluctantly, Sekido offered his apology.
You released your grip, cradling his erect dick in the palm of your hand. In a sudden, assertive motion, your other hand ascended and descended sharply, delivering a resounding slap to his swollen shaft.
"FUCK!" Sekido whined. "Oh, you fucking…" he snorted, but you didn't let him finish the sentence.
Your fingers delivered another resounding smack onto Sekido's dick. Twice more, you raised your hand, and twice more, the forceful impact reverberated on the engorged flesh. The vivid, searing pain radiating through his shaft surged intensely through his entire body.
"Fuck! I'm… Sorry!" He raised his voice.
"You forgot something."
"I'm sorry, mistress!"
"Good boy." You resumed the gentle caress of his dick, and before long, your lips enveloped the erect shaft, engaging in an intense and fervent act of oral pleasure while helping yourself with one hand caressing his heavy balls.
Sekido emitted low, guttural grunts, a primal resonance emanating from deep within his chest, as he attempted to slip a hand into your hair.
With a resounding pop, you withdrew, slapping his dick once more. "Don't you dare lay a finger on me, brat," you declared.
He grunted unhappily but reluctantly withdrew his hands.
Continuing to pleasure his dick with your mouth, you skillfully glided the tip of your tongue beneath the prominent vein along his shaft, eliciting a response as his cock began to twitch. It was only at this moment that you straddled him, effortlessly guiding his firm dick into your cunny.
You set a brisk rhythm, energetically riding him with a continuous up-and-down motion, occasionally delivering a cheeky slap to his face. "You're quite the brat, Sekido," you remarked, intensifying the pace. "Disregarding your girlfriend in front of others. How pathetic."
His gaze was fixed on the rhythmic bounce of your breasts as you moved along his shaft; the sight of you astride him, skillfully riding, was making his dick throb even harder. "I fucking apologized, woman."
You grinned, delivering a firmer slap to his face. "It doesn't change the fact that you behaved like the real brat you are."
As he approached the brink of orgasm, you teasingly withdrew his dick almost entirely from your pussy, leaving just the tip nestled in the warmth. "Uh-uh, you won't climax until I permit it."
Sekido let out a loud curse in response. "Fuck, darling!"
You firmly gripped his shaft, squeezing it hard; it drew a pained moan from his lips. "I explicitly told you to abandon this demeanor, didn't I?" you reminded.
The demon merely nodded in acknowledgment.
You skillfully teased him in that manner for a solid half-hour. By that point, your pussy was swollen, and your clitoris so sensitized that each movement of your hips, urging his dick deeper within you, collided with your moans of pleasure and Sekido's guttural groans.
Eventually, you dismounted, lying on your back and parting your legs. "Fuck me and make me cum, and maybe, just maybe, I'll contemplate forgiving your behaviour."
Sekido pressed your legs apart with the leverage of his knee, swiftly pushing himself back into you, establishing a vigorous and unyielding tempo. The tip of his dick grazed your cervix with each forceful thrust. Before long, guttural grunts emanated from him, particularly accentuated when your sharp nails raked down his back, leaving behind a trail of bloody marks.
In no time, he released deep within your pussy; the runny, warm cum cascading through your velvety walls, accompanied by Sekido's primal growls reminiscent of a wild creature. Collapsing atop you, he pressed kisses to the sensitive crook of your neck. "Will you forgive me?"
Seizing a handful of his hair, you forcefully yanked his head back, delivering another resounding slap to his face. A mischievous grin played on your lips as you snarled, "Oh, Sekido, I'm far from finished with you. Better play the part of a good and obedient boy for your human mistress for the rest of the night, and your deeds may be forgiven."

Warnings: mentions of cheating
He calls in the middle of the night, or it's the middle of the night where she is. He knows her better than anyone, which is why he knows it's okay to call her at this time.
He's leaning against the tour bus, cigarette threaded between his lips as he inhales. The phone rings four times before she picks up and he can hear rustling on her side of the line. He knows better than to think he woke her up, or to think the noise is her stirring in her bed. Knowing her she's probably in her living room with a thick blanket covering her frame, adorning one of his hoodies, glasses resting on the tip of her nose and a book in her hands.
He misses watching her read, loving the way even now, as an adult, her red manicured fingernails would skim the pages, following the words as her mouth moved, reading the words to herself silently. He missed it even more when he thought back to how she looked in those moments, hair askew on her head, post-fuck glaze on her skin, adorning nothing but his white shirt, two buttons done up, barely covering her form.
"Ello love, didn't wake you did I?" He asks, his tongue resting against the inside of his cheek after his words, smirking to himself.
"What do you want Matty?" Her words aren't harsh, just direct, but they still sting a little.
"can't I just call you and check in?" He asks and he hears her chuckle, and then another rustle on the end of the line. She sighs and Matty hears her put something down, probably her book. He's tempted to FaceTime her but it was too risky. He didn't want anyone knowing who he was talking to if they were to come out from the bus. But he can't deny how badly he wants to see her.
"Matthew" she warns.
"I miss you" he finally admits "like I really miss you..." She sighs again and it makes him frown.
"Where are you right now?" She asks. He hates that she doesn't tell him she misses him too, he hates that she just ignores his words.
"Glasgow" he admits "London in two days..." The pin drops for her and she frowns.
"You know you can't see me Matty" his heart breaks at that.
"Why love? I really miss you" he hasn't seen her since the bands little break and even then their time together was fleeting. Matty had to squeeze her in somewhere but balancing her and his girlfriend was difficult. Deep down he knew if he could have it his way, there would be no girlfriend.
He felt awful admitting that. Truly awful. It was complicated. He had tried to explain it to George once when he asked. It had tried to explain that she was the one that got away (despite the fact he still had her, just not in the way he truly wanted), that she was it for him but he had always convinced himself that he wasn't it for her. That doubt plagued his life and consequently stopped their affair from progressing, mainly because he was in fact, already in a relationship.
"Is she with you?" She asks and Matty frowns. From where y/n sits, she plays with the hem of her (his) jumper, it doesn't smell like him anymore but it still brings her comfort. She does miss him, more than anything. She loved him, truly truly loved him. But she too had her doubts, she believed if he loved her, he wouldn't have entertained another woman, wouldn't be in a relationship.
"No..." He admits. She's silent for a few moments, she knew the answer before she even asked.
"Maybe you should think about who you really miss" she says, her voice is sad and he hates that. Really hates that.
"What do you mean love? Do you not want to see me?" He asks, deflecting from what she was insinuating. She sighs and runs a hand through her hair.
"You know I do Matty but that's not the point... I'm not the one you miss Matty, you're just projecting" she explains and Matty sighs, taking a long inhale of his cigarette before dropping it to the floor.
"Don't do all that therapist shit on me Y/n. I think I know who I miss thank you very much" he says, his voice clearly laced with annoyance.
"Matty..."
"what?!" He snaps.
"If you don't miss her... And it's me who you miss, why are you still with her?" She asks and Matty takes a few seconds to reply and when he does he only stutters, an answer not coming when he wants it to.
"Exactly Matty..."
"Love please"
"No Matty... Look I better go, it's late and I'm tired" she lies "good luck with the shows Matty, you'll smash it, as always" he hears the smile in her voice and his heartbeat doubles tenfold.
"Will you be there? At one of the shows?" He asks.
"I don't think that's such a good idea Matty"
Tumblr media
The couple had been arguing all day, the band didn't know the reasons why but they had their suspicions. They all knew Matty's feelings towards Y/n, he was obsessed with her ever since she stepped foot in their lives. They all loved her dearly but Matty's feelings had always been different. He always mentioned that he'd never love anyone like he loved her. Of course that didn't stop him from being with other people.
No one knew of their secret affair... Until now.
His girlfriend had her suspicions ever since they started dating, and she feels stupid now, believing him at the start when he said nothing was going on between them.
He stands here now, backstage, eyes trained on Y/n's who stands next to George and Charli. George's hand is resting around her shoulders casually and she smiles up at the drummer.
She said she wouldn't be at the show, but here she was. Looking as beautiful as ever. She catches his eyes and smiles at him. He missed the way his heart ran at a thousand miles a minute every time he looked at her and the way his line of vision somehow managed to find her every time she was in a room.
She really tried resisting being here but when one Ross MacDonald and one George Daniel kept begging her to come, she found it extremely hard to say no. What eventually caused her to break was a phone call from Adam.
"It's our last show in London Y/n... I'm afraid Matty might kill someone if his best friend doesn't show up" she felt immediately guilty, not only for letting her 'best friend' down, but also for the fact she had been lying to the guys for so long. Keeping this massive secret from them.
She also felt guilty for the girl clinging to Matty's arm. She was lovely, the fans loved her and she was deserving of Matty. How could she do this to her?
Her eyes flick between Matty and Y/n before she turns from them, walking in the opposite direction. Matty doesn't notice at first, too concentrated on Y/n. A nod of her head from y/n in the direction his girlfriend has just gone causes him to realise. And he reluctantly follows.
He meets her in some hallway somewhere, she's pacing, her eyes are glazed over slightly and he knows he's in trouble then.
"Hey what's up?" He asks, hand finding her shoulder but she flinches away.
"you know when we first started dating, I knew you liked her... But I ignored it" she laughs then before she continues "I thought it didn't matter, it was just a crush and you might like me more" she blinks but no tears fall.
"I was so stupid" she says.
"What are you talking about love?" He says.
"you and her!! I know you've been cheating on me with her okay? But I ignored it, because I thought it was just fucking, I didn't realise...." She halts.
Matty stands there speechless, not knowing what to say. She knew? How did she know?
"You're in love with her aren't you?" She asks, coming to stand right in front of him, one hand resting against his face. Her grasp is gentle, not that he deserves it.
He loves Y/n more than anything in the world, more than anyone. It doesn't excuse his infidelity, nothing would. But he loves her. He's known he's loved her for as long as he's known her.
He nods, one simply gesture that makes her back away.
"Why did you start this" she gestures between them "if you were in love with her"
"Because I thought you might be the one who would make me forget her" he says, it's a sad truth and it hurts her but at least she was being honest.
"and?" She can sense there's more.
"And... Because I knew that although I loved her... She didn't love me back, not in the way I loved her"
"god Matty..." She steps forward again and places her hands against his face softly. Her black manicured fingertip grazes his mouth and she smiles. She was being far too kind to him, he didn't deserve this.
"You can be so stupid some times" she says.
"What do you mean?"
"have you ever asked her how she feels?" He shakes his head "and has she ever told you that she doesn't love you?" He shakes his head again.
"Then maybe you should ask her" she leans forward slightly, pressing her lips to his once in a brief kiss.
"Bye Matty... I hope she makes you happy, you deserve it" how can she say that he deserves it? He just admitted to cheating on her and being in love with another girl? He definitely didn't feel like he deserved it.
She begins to walk away but he takes her arm in his hand gently, halting her movements.
"I'm so sorry" he says sincerely. She doesn't say it's okay, because it's not, it's far from it. But she smiles.
"Just make it worth it Matty... Don't coward out. Go tell her"
Tumblr media
He manages to get through the show without messing up. He manages to forget about it all for the performance, giving the audience the show they deserved. One worthy of the last one for a while.
She's there when he leaves the stage, she's hesitant to hug him but when she does he grips on tightly.
"that was amazing Matty... Really truly amazing" she says, pulling back to smile at him.
"hey can I talk to you for a moment?" He asks and she raises her eyebrows and shakes her head.
"not for that... I really need to talk to you" he says. She looks worried and he shakes his head. Intertwining their hands and gently pulling her into a room somewhere.
"What's up?" She says as she walks into a room, she turns to find him pressed against her front, hands coming to rest against the wall on either side of her head, knowing she'd would try to escape if he didn't do this.
"do you love me?" He asks.
"Matty what? Let's not do this please, your girlfriend is here" she argues.
"No she's not, and she's not my girlfriend. Now answer my question, do you love me?" She's speechless, mouth falling agape. It's a lot to take in and she really has to force the smile away at the news. She felt horrible for that.
"Did you break up?" She asks and Matty nods.
"Why?"
"Because I'm in love with someone else" he says, smiling down at her.
"Matty..."
"Tell me you love me" he says, leaning forward until their lips graze.
"You know I do Matty... But we don't deserve this... We were horrible to her Matty. I never thought I would be that person... The other woman"
"you're not the other woman though Y/n. You're the woman, always have been. I wouldn't have ever been with her... Or anyone else if I knew you loved me" he admits and she frowns.
"I love you Matty, so much. But I can't do this I'm sorry" she says, ducking under his arm until she's free from him. He spins though, quicker than her, grasping her until she's on his embrace again.
"no I'm not letting it end like this. I love you y/n, so much. You're it for me okay? Always have been, and I'm sorry I made such a mess of things. And I'm sorry I put you in an awful position. But I can't let you go, I just can't. I'll break if you leave here tonight and you're mine. I'll break y/n" his words are rushed but she catches every single one of them. She sighs, she knew she didn't deserve this, didn't deserve him, but her body fails her and she leans forwards.
She has to crane her head slightly to reach him, gently pressing their lips together. It takes him a moment to react, just one brief moment before his lips are pressing back against hers. She feels a tear coat her cheek and she pulls back when she realises it's not hers.
Her eyes hover over his eyes, tears falling down his cheeks. She places a hand against his face, thumb gently swiping at his cheek.
"Matty why are you crying?" She asks, noticing the way he was smiling too. He grips her tighter and places another brief kiss to her mouth.
"I'm just happy... I have wanted you entirely... For so long. And I'm sorry I made a mess of everything. I wish I had done things differently. I wish I had just told you from the start, because I've always loved you Y/n and I always will" his words make her smile.
"I love you too Matty" she leans forward again and they kiss until their lips are swollen and their breaths are bated, and until they're not sure where one begins and one ends.
Sometimes they think back to that day and the days that preceded them. They think back to how they hurt people along the way. But love isn't easy, love is messy and unkind. But it's also beautiful. It can be pure and it can cure the hearts of broken souls. She cured Matty's heart, she brought the light into his life, little rays here and there until it flooded in. She made him better.
They often wonder whether they were truly deserving of a love so strong. When they announced their engagement to the world, they got a message from Matty's ex, "proud of you Matty" it read "you got the girl of your dreams". He often wonders what he did for her to be so nice to him after everything that happened. One thing they know for certain, they wouldn't change it for the world.
For he had her, really had her. And he loved her, more than anything in the world.

ok but i j feel like this fits so well???
❛ you always see the good in people. even me. ❜ + max
pls it really does fit SO well. huhu
Tumblr media
good heart (mv1) ─── just a little reassurance
Tumblr media
max sighs softly, but he smiles anyway. he thanks the interviewer, nodding at whatever else they had to say before turning on his heel to return to his driver room. his pr officer is in tow, but she says nothing, and for that he’s grateful.
it was a rough day on the track. another win under his belt, but alas another sunday of being attacked and berated for the way he drove. and he’s learned to compartmentalize it, to ignore snide comments about his aggression on and off the track. he’s been taught well, trained to smile even if he wanted to scream, and shake hands even if he wanted to throw a punch.
but today was different. he couldn’t place why, but it was. he thought he drove great, albeit a fairly boring one considering he was leading for the majority of it. but some how he was at fault for charles’s result was beyond him.
he drove dangerously! he ran too wide, basically pushed charles off and fucked his race! max has no regard for anyone else but himself! he doesn’t deserve to be a champion!
but none of it was true… right?
he hangs his head low, mumbling thanks to greetings and congratulations. he just wanted to disappear, hideaway, and be with you.
when he slides the door of his driver’s room open, you’re sitting on his massage table on your phone. you take a moment to wrap up what you’re doing before you look up at him. the smile on your face drops the moment you see his sullen expression.
“hey there stud, what’s wrong?”
he doesn’t say anything, just wraps you up in his arms, burying his face into your neck. you freeze for a moment, caught off guard at the sudden affection, but you melt into him just as fast. your hands come up to rest on his shoulder blades, rubbing softly. you coo, asking him what’s wrong, but he grunts in response.
“tired of being the villain.” he mumbles against the skin of you neck. his breath is hot, hold is tight. “tired of being the bad guy.”
you cup his cheeks, pulling his face from you so that you can look at him. his eyes are tired and dull with sadness. his lips curve downward ever so slightly in a frown, bottom lip jutted outwards. “where is this coming from?”
he shrugs, turning his head to release himself from your hold. he removes his arms from around you, running his fingers through his damp hair. his actions are rough, filled with frustration. you hang back, sitting back on the massage bed as you watch him change and get ready to leave the track. he moves quickly, slipping off his race attire and swapping it for his normal redbull polo and blue jeans.
“hey,” you call out, “c’mere.”
max looks like a little kid. his shoulders are slumped, feet dragging along the floor as he shuffles over to you. you part your legs, giving him room to stand between them. his jeans touch the inside of your thighs, his fingers coming up to push the stray hairs over your shoulder. his frustrated movements moments earlier contrast the gentle way he handles you. you take his hand into yours, pressing a kiss to the back of it.
“i just feel like im under a microscope, now more than ever. and i feel like no matter what i do, i’ll always be a bad guy.”
“you’re not a bad guy max. don’t let snide comments get to you and make you villainize yourself.” you squeeze his hand, but he sighs and shakes his head.
“c’mon, let’s just go.”
“wanna know what i think?” you tug him back to you, and he plants himself between your legs again. “i think that you’re a good guy, the best guy actually. you’re talented, fucking phenomenal at more than just driving. you’ve been through so much, and yet you’ve managed to take all that and channel it into something positive. people are cruel, but it doesn’t mean they’re right okay?”
“you’re just saying that.”
“no, i could tell you you’re a piece of shit if you were being a piece of shit. but you’re not.” his sulky demeanor cracks, a smile curling onto his pink lips. you stand up, left hand resting on his cheek. “you are a good person, with a good heart max. okay?”
he smiles, “you’re my favorite person, because you always see the good in people. even me.” he leans down to press a soft kiss against your lips. “i will never understand how i got so lucky with a girl like you, loving a guy like me.”
you smile, kissing him again, “you were just being you, and loving you is easy.”

(to the ppl who already saw this from leaks, you can ignore this <3)
GUYS THE BIRD IS BACK. I SAY THE BIRD IS BACKKKKKK. WE’RE EATING GOOD GUYS.
Anyways back to serious business, let’s analyze this lightcone. First we see Sparkle controlling two ppl, a puppet of herself and Sampo. (Sampo is so pretty oml him in suits is just…<3) My first thought was: Sparkle is making a play or a stage controlling both herself and Sampo to create an entertaining story for both herself and Aha. I thought Aha because of the several masks peeking behind her and the bird on the stage. But let’s look at the story.
—Who witnessed his death?
—Me! I spied it with my little eyes!
—Who took his blood?
—Me! I used my little saucer!
—Who dug his grave?
—Me! Using my chisel and shovel!
The wise uses all techniques in their arsenal, the sovereign soothes their heart with power, the hero views themselves to be righteous, and the fool laughs ceaselessly—
"Now, let us welcome Ms. Sparkle to bring us the performance of the year—'Penacony's Night of Fright'!"
I’ll be really honest, I’m utterly confused. But thank goodness the jp translation exists. The “Me!” dialogues all belong to Sparkle. It’s clear that the story refers to events that occurred on Penacony, probably during the party. The wise, the sovereign, the hero, and the fool all refer to presumably the playable characters attending the event. Fool is obviously Sparkle, the sovereign could be Sunday, the wise is probably Dr. Ratio (?) and the hero is most likely the MC.
Now let me start talking abt crazy stuff:
The mask over Sampo makes me feel that it's actually not him but some kind of stand-in, another reason I feel this way is because there are only three strings on him contrary to Sparkle’s four strings. Just as NPCs have less movement, three strings to me indicate that Sampo is capable of fewer moves compared to Sparkle. Which just gives me the vibes this Sampo isn’t so real. Also, the fact he’s wearing a suit over his actual outfit is hot, but it makes him feel even more like a stand-in. (Also with the new trailer, the scene where Sampo knocks MC out, his red eyes makes me think it's Sparkle)
Also, does Sampo get “killed” by Sparkle here? I feel like he does, because I’m pretty sure they’re playing rock paper and scissors and Sparkle is winning here, and it ties back to the whole “someone dying on Penacony,” thing. Also the wording in “Who witnessed his death?” in JP, can also be loosely interpreted as being involved in his death. Besides, a murderer is also a witness to a death soo idk.
Also, also, I wonder why the Aha masks in the back look so..sad? The smiling masks are almost too close to Sparkle for comfort, and they look like they’re on the edge of their seats and want to see more. But the masks in the back seem so withdrawn from the drama and look like they’re only watching out of obligation. Maybe my theory abt Aha being an amalgamation of different personalities has a chance.  i haven't really played the story yet so I'm scared </3

Glasses
T.K. is brushing his teeth in Carlos’ bathroom. Usually his daily oral hygiene wouldn’t be a notable event, but today it feels monumental. Because it’s Carlos’ bathroom. And T.K. is brushing his teeth. Because he’s staying over. Because they’re together. Like really together. Officially.
He smiles goofily at his reflection in the mirror, his mouth still full of white paste and toothbrush. He’s happy. Really, truly, deeply happy.
He opens up Carlos’ medicine cabinet one handed as he continues brushing away and realizes that while he remembered to bring a razor he did not remember to bring shaving cream. “Hey babe,” he calls around his mouthful as he turns around and pokes his head back into the bedroom, “can I borrow—“
His eyes find Carlos on the bed and he immediately chokes on his toothpaste and has to rush back to the sink to spit it out. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand before turning and marching back through the open doorway.
Carlos looks at him, amusement on his face. “You okay over there?”
“Since when do you wear glasses?”
Because he is. Carlos is sitting in his bed, shirtless, hair soft and wildly curly after his shower, a paperback in his hands, and a pair of glasses on his face. Glasses that T.K. has definitely never seen before in his life. Glasses that are kind of knocking the wind out of him.
“Since the fourth grade?” Carlos says.
“But I’ve never…you’ve never worn them when I’ve been here.”
“I haven’t?” Carlos scrunches up his nose in thought and it makes him even more freaking adorable. “Are you sure?”
“I think I would remember my boyfriend morphing into Clark fucking Kent,” T.K. retorts.
Carlos chuckles. “I only wear them at night when my contacts start bothering me.”
“You should wear them more often.” The words are out of T.K.’s mouth before he even realizes it. He feels wildly out of control of himself right now and who could blame him? His already incredibly fucking hot boyfriend now looks like an incredibly fucking hot librarian and it is making T.K. think some very, VERY dirty thoughts.
Carlos raises his eyebrows. “Why?” A slow, lazy, self-satisfied smile spreads across his  face. “You think they’re sexy?”
“God yes.”
T.K. is across the room in two seconds flat, scrambling onto the bed and pulling Carlos’ face to his for a bruising kiss. Carlos immediately drops his book and responds in kind, mouth open and inviting as his hands grip T.K.’s hips and pull him close. “You called me your boyfriend,” he says when they finally break apart for air.
“I did,” T.K. says, diving back in for another taste of Carlos in glasses. It’s completely different than regular Carlos. It’s nerdy. And hot. He loves it.
“You’ve never called me your boyfriend before,” Carlos says breathlessly, grinning so wide it’s like the sun has come out. “I like it.”
T.K. grins back at him. “Me too.”
Socks
“Oh my god,” Carlos says as T.K. collapses onto his chest and presses kisses into his sweat sticky skin. “How does it just keep getting better?”
“Because we’re amazing,” T.K. mumbles against his pecs, his eyes already heavy with sleep. “So. Freaking. Amazing.”
He takes a few breaths and feels his body relaxing as sleep pulls him down. He snuggles deeper into Carlos’ chest, eyes drifting shut. He’s nearly out when he feels Carlos shift beneath him.
“Where are you going?” he asks, tightening his hold on Carlos’ torso to keep him from moving.
“I’ll be right back. I just need to put some socks on,” Carlos says, pressing a kiss to his hair.
T.K.’s eyes pop back open and he props himself up to look at Carlos’ face. “I’m sorry, what?”
“I’m going to put some socks on,” Carlos repeats.
Things still aren’t computing in T.K.’s brain. “…why?” he finally asks slowly.
“Because if we’re going to sleep I need to wear socks.”
He was looking for clarity, but now he’s even more confused. “I don’t understand.”
“What is there to understand? I’m putting socks on to go to bed,” Carlos says, looking equally as confused.
“But…why?”
“Because otherwise I might catch a cold,” Carlos says with a laugh, gently pushing T.K. off so he can get to his feet.
T.K. blinks a couple times trying to get his bearings and then rolls over, sitting up with the sheet wrapped around his waist. “That is not how colds work. Like not even close.”
Carlos returns and sits on the bed to pull his socks on. “I know that,” he says.
“And yet you’re still putting the socks on,” T.K. says.
“My mom always made us wear socks to bed when we were kids.”
“Is she coming over?” T.K. asks incredulously.
“No.”
“Then why are you wearing them?!”
“Because she always made us!”
T.K. takes a breath. “Let me get this straight. You are going to get into this bed with me, fully naked, except for socks that you’re going to wear because your mom made you do it when you were seven?”
Carlos pauses. “Well when you say it like that it sounds stupid.”
“Your words, not mine.”
“I just like it okay? I’ve done it forever. I can’t sleep without them,” Carlos says defensively as he slides back into bed beside T.K. “Is this some kind of a dealbreaker for you?”
“Nope,” T.K. says. “Just trying to understand. If wearing socks to bed is what does it for you, then by all means wear the socks.”
“Thank you,” Carlos says, giving him a peck on the lips and turning out the light before pulling T.K. close and snuggling in to go to sleep.
T.K. gets comfortable and closes his eyes, but he can’t stop the thoughts running through his mind in the dark and quiet of the room. He sits up and turns the light back on. “I really need you to tell me that you understand that you can’t catch a cold from not wearing socks though.”
Romance
T.K. loves being in Carlos’ condo without him. He likes it better when Carlos is around obviously. But he feels so special that Carlos has given him a key and invited him to share his space. It means he trusts T.K. enough to let him be here alone where it’s peaceful and calm, unlike his dad’s house which somehow feels crowded even though there are only two of them there most of the time.
Carlos’ place feels more like home than anywhere else has in a long time.
He takes his shoes off when he arrives and dutifully puts them away, then grabs a mineral water and a yogurt out of the fridge before collapsing onto Carlos’ couch. “Ouch,” he says with a frown as something pokes into his back from behind the throw pillow.
He reaches behind him and pulls out a book. It’s not unusual to find books around the condo, Carlos is a big reader, but the brightly colored cover on this one makes T.K. pause and raise his eyebrows. The Spanish Love Deception is the title and when he flips it over to read the back he learns that Catalina Martín is in desperate need of a date for her sister’s wedding and her mortal enemy at work seems to be her only option.
He’s rifling through the pages when the door opens and Carlos walks in. “Hey,” he says, smiling as his eyes meet T.K.’s. “When did you get in?”
“Like fifteen minutes ago,” T.K. tells him as Carlos slips off his shoes and then comes over to press a kiss to his lips. “I found this behind the throw pillow.”
He holds up the romance novel and Carlos takes it from him. Francesca must have left it here,” he says, referring to his sister. “Looks like her kind of book. I’ll text her and let her know you found it it.”
T.K. doesn’t think about it again for a couple of weeks until one night when his dad cancels their dinner plans and he spontaneously heads to Carlos’ instead. “Hey, it’s me!” he calls as he pushes the door open.
“T.K.?” Carlos appears at the top of the stairs, one hand behind his back, looking a little frazzled. “I thought you were going to dinner with your dad.”
“He bailed,” T.K. says, adjusting his overnight bag on his shoulder as he takes the stairs two at a time, giving Carlos a peck on his lips when he reaches him. “You okay?” he asks, taking in the weird expression on his boyfriend’s face.
“Yeah, yeah, of course,” Carlos says, even as a minor amount of panic is flickering through his eyes. “I just didn’t know you were coming.”
T.K. looks him up and down. “Do you have some other guy in your bedroom?”
“What?! No!” Carlos says quickly.
“Were you watching porn?”
“Of course not!” Carlos says, but there’s a deep blush rising up in his cheeks.
“What’s behind your back?” T.K. reaches for him, but Carlos steps away out of his reach.
“It’s nothing,” he says.
T.K. raises his eyebrows in amusement. “You know you are so freaking bad at lying, right?”
“Can we just drop it?” Carlos asks, desperation creeping into his voice.
T.K. takes a step forward so that Carlos is forced to back into the wall and then reaches around him and plucks the hidden object from his fingers. It’s another book, the cover bright blue with the title The American Roommate Experiment on the front. T.K. recognizes the name of the author as the same one from the book he found behind the couch cushions and his eyebrows rise. “Oh. You were reading porn.”
“It’s not porn,” Carlos says. “It’s a book.”
“Are you telling me there’s no sex in this book?”
“I…don’t know yet,” Carlos says, dropping his eyes. “I haven’t gotten that far.”
Delight is spiraling through T.K. as he fully realizes what’s going on. “That was your book a couple weeks ago. Not your sister’s.” He can feel his eyes start to sparkle with mischief. “You like smutty romance novels.”
“I don’t like them because they’re smutty,” Carlos says quickly. “I like them because…I like them.”
“You like them because you’re a big old softy romantic,” T.K. says, poking him gently in the chest. “Do you watch Hallmark Christmas movies too?”
The silence that follows tells him all he needs to know. “You do,” T.K. says happily. He could not be more thrilled about this new discovery.
“I grew up with four sisters,” Carlos defends himself.
“Please tell me you read Fifty Shades.”
“I would never,” Carlos scoffs. “Those books are not an accurate depiction of the BDSM community.”
“Oh my god you’re adorable,” T.K. tells him.
“No, I’m, no don’t call me that,” Carlos says, clearly embarrassed.
“You are,” T.K. tells him, wrapping his arms around Carlos’ waist. “You are the most adorable boyfriend the world has ever seen.”
“Are you going to let this go, or is this something you’re going to talk about forever?” Carlos asks.
“Mmm definitely the second thing,” T.K. says as Carlos sighs with long suffering. “Now how about you take me to your bedroom and teach me some of the things you’ve learned from these books?”
Scaredy Cat
Sharing new things with each other has become a complete delight for T.K. So when he finds out that Carlos has never seen a single one of the Halloween movies, he declares the need for a marathon during the month of October and immediately goes over to his dad’s to dig out his DVD’s. No way is he dealing with ads breaking up the masterpiece that is Michael Myers.
He’s popped popcorn, pulled out all the throw blankets, and even gone so far as to make up a bloody looking mocktail to really get them in the spirit of the movies. Now he’s just eagerly awaiting Carlos who has gone out to fetch their pizza.
He’s pulling down plates from the cupboard (Carlos refuses to eat pizza straight out of the box like they’re “college frat bros”) when the door opens and his boyfriend returns, pizza in hand.
“Perfect timing!” T.K. says, eagerly taking the box from him and handing him the gory looking cocktail in return.
“Oh, wow,” Carlos says. “This is…something.”
“I found a recipe online,” T.K. tells him excitedly as he dishes out pizza slices onto plates. “I thought they would be fun!”
“So creative,” Carlos says, poking at the gummy eyeballs that T.K. ordered online and added for extra pizzazz.
“Okay,” T.K. says as they settle onto the couch, his excitement at an eleven. “So, John Carpenter and Debra Hill wrote this in like ten days, which is crazy, and Carpenter got paid ten thousand dollars to write, direct, and score it. They built a cinematic masterpiece, the go-to film for horror, and they did it in ten days for ten thousand dollars. Can you even believe that?”
“Sure can’t,” Carlos says with a shake of his head.
“We’re starting with the original Halloween,” T.K. tells him as he flicks on the television. “1963, Michael Myers versus a bunch of teenage girls. We’ll skip a few in the middle, Halloween: Resurrection isn’t worth anybody’s time, and while Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers does feature a young, fresh faced Paul Rudd, it has too many flaws to be worth watching.”
“So we’re skipping two out of…”
“Thirteen,” T.K. tells him.
“I guess I should have taken the month off of work,” Carlos tells him, sending him an odd, tense sort of smile.
Come to think of it, Carlos’ whole body feels a little tense too. If T.K. didn’t know any better, he’d think Carlos was nervous. But he chalks it up to worry over getting pizza grease on the couch and hits play as he snuggles into his boyfriend’s side.
They’re still snuggled together as Michael takes a knife to his teenage sister and T.K. doesn’t miss the way Carlos stiffens even further over the bloody scene. Or the way he seems to get more and more tense as the movie progresses. “You want another drink?” T.K. asks after Michael murders the Wallace’s dog.
Carlos shakes his head, his lips pressed together in a firm line, eyes a little wider than normal as he stares at the screen. He gasps audibly when Michael appears in Annie’s car and when T.K. looks down he finds that Carlos is gripping the edge of the couch cushions so hard that his knuckles are going white.
By the time Michael starts going after Laurie, Carlos’ breathing has gone rapid and T.K. carefully slips his fingers under the edge of his sleeve to find his pulse racing. Not a surprise given the contents of the movie, but Carlos’ face has gone almost white and and he’s sitting so rigidly T.K. is afraid all of his muscles are going to lock up.
“Carlos,” he says quietly, but Carlos doesn’t respond, eyes glued to the screen, his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down as he swallows hard.
“Carlos, are you okay?” T.K. asks again, reaching for the remote.
He’s too late. Michael appears out of nowhere and Carlos jumps to his feet with a shout, hands going to his hips as he paces a couple agitated steps back and forth.
T.K. finally gets his finger on the button to pause the movie. “Carlos, hey, look at me,” T.K. says, feeling legitimately concerned.
“No I—it’s fine. I’m fine,” Carlos says, hand making chopping motions as if he’s trying to convince himself as much as T.K. “Go ahead, turn it back on. I’ll just um, I’m just going to—“
“You’re shaking like a leaf,” T.K. says.
“No I’m—it’s good,” Carlos says even as a car honks outside and he flinches violently.
“It’s not fine,” T.K. says. “You hate it. Let’s watch something else.”
“We can finish—“
“Carlos, you look like you think Michael is coming after you personally. We’re not watching anymore,” T.K. says with a chuckle, using the remote to flip over to live TV, Bobby Flay declaring loudly that he will not be beaten at his own culinary game this time.
“Thank you,” Carlos sighs, collapsing back into the couch.
“When were you going to tell me you hate horror movies?” T.K. asks.
“Never,” Carlos says, running a hand through his hair. “You were so excited and I thought maybe it would be okay.”
“But?”
“I begged my parents to let me watch It with my sisters when I was ten. I didn’t sleep for like a month after that and ever since…” he shivers, “I just don’t get why people like them.”
“It’s pretty cute you know,” T.K. says with a fond smile. “My big tough police officer being scared of horror movies.”
“Cute or pathetic?” Carlos says with a roll of his eyes, finally starting to look like himself again now that it’s vegetables being chopped up instead of people.
“Cute,” T.K. tells him definitively, pulling him close. “Now come here. I promise I’ll keep you safe.”
Paparazzi
The radio is blaring when T.K. walks in from his shift, so loud that for a second he thinks he’s walked into the wrong condo. A quick glance around reveals that no, this is indeed Carlos’ place, although there’s no sign of Carlos anywhere, and it takes him another moment to realize the music is actually coming from upstairs.
He climbs the staircase, the music getting louder with each step and by the time he’s reached the top it’s changed from something in Spanish to Lady Gaga and is blasting so loudly that it feels like he’s at a live performance rather than in his boyfriend’s bedroom.
That’s when he finally hears the singing. Not Gaga herself, although she’s hard to ignore. No. Someone is belting out the lyrics from behind the bathroom door, slightly out of tune, but with the most passion T.K. has ever heard.
He opens the door quietly, the sound intensifying as the spray of the shower joins the fray.
“I’M YOUR BIGGEST FAN, I’LL FOLLOW YOU UNTIL YOU LOVE ME! PAPA-PAPARAZZI!” Carlos bellows from behind the semi-frosted glass of the shower door.
T.K. crosses his arms and leans against the wall, a grin on his face as he watches the blurry silhouette of his naked boyfriend scrubbing away at his hair while he sings along. He makes it through the rest of the chorus and another verse before he turns around and lets out a yell. “Jesus Christ!”
The water turns off immediately followed quickly by the music as T.K. laughs. Carlos opens the shower door, poking his sopping wet head out. “What the hell? How long have you been standing there?” he says, clearly torn between fury and embarrassment.
“Long enough,” T.K. says, handing him a towel before returning to his position against the wall, watching appreciatively as Carlos pulls it around his waist and steps out, water glistening on his skin.
“You realize that’s really fucking creepy, right?” Carlos asks as he double checks that his towel is secure.
“I can’t believe you didn’t invite me to the concert,” T.K. says fully aware that he is smirking and enjoying every second of watching Carlos squirm.
“Yeah, well, there’s a reason for that,” Carlos says, looking down at the floor, his cheeks flushed from more than the heat of his shower.
“Do you always sing in the shower?”
“No.” But he doesn’t meet T.K.’s gaze when he says it.
“Yes,” T.K. says gleefully. “Why don’t you ever sing when I’m here?”
“Because some things are better left in private,” Carlos tells him with a glower.
“Babe, come on,” T.K. says, taking a step forward and putting his hands on Carlos’ hips just above where the towel is sitting. “I love knowing stuff like this about you. It makes me feel like you’re mine. I get to see these little parts of Carlos Reyes that other people don’t.” He quirks an eyebrow. “Unless you also put on performances in the precinct showers.”
“Definitely not,” Carlos scoffs. His hands come up to rest on T.K.’s biceps. “You really don’t think it’s weird? I know I’m not a good singer.”
T.K. kisses the tip of his nose. “It doesn’t matter. It makes you happy. And that’s all I care about.”
+ 1: Ticklish
Waking up with T.K. had been his dream for months, but he wasn’t completely surprised when it turned out not to be a reality. It turns out T.K. doesn’t wake up with anyone. In fact he barely wakes up at all. He has to be dragged out of bed and plied with coffee and a shower before he’s even remotely functional.
When questioned about how he can wake up and immediately go to work when the alarm bells go off at the fire station, T.K. looks at him like he’s crazy and says, “That’s different.”
So Carlos contents himself with waking up beside T.K., pressing a kiss to whatever part of him is poking out from under the blankets, and then greeting him more officially when he finally stumbles out of bed usually an hour or two after Carlos.
He’s just finished his workout when he hears T.K.’s alarm going off followed quickly by a muffled thud as T.K. predictably sends his phone flying to floor in his attempts to turn it off.
Carlos smiles and wipes a towel across his forehead before stowing away his weights and jogging back upstairs. T.K. is buried under the blankets, only the top of his head poking out. “Morning,” Carlos says softly, bending over to kiss his forehead.
T.K. reaches up and catches his arm, tugging him downward. “Come back to bed,” he mumbles.
“I’m all sweaty,” Carlos says with a laugh. “I need to go take a shower.”
“No staaay,” T.K. groans, tugging more insistently.
Carlos rolls his eyes but he concedes, sitting down on the mattress and pulling the blanket down enough to reveal T.K.’s face. “Are you going to get up?”
“It’s our day off,” T.K. tells him, eyes still tightly shut.
“It is.” Carlos leans closer, a fond smile on his face. “And if you don’t get up soon it will be over.”
He pokes T.K. in the ribs good-naturedly and immediately receives a sharp backhand across the face. “Ow!” he yells, rearing back and clutching his nose. “T.K. what the fuck?!”
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” T.K. yelps, and Carlos can feel him scrambling to get upright in the tangle of their sheets. “Oh my god! Are you okay? Let me see!”
He reaches for Carlos’ face, but Carlos pulls back. His nose feels like it’s been smashed into a thousand pieces, but he rubs at it experimentally and it seems to be intact. Another check shows no blood on his fingers, so he’s probably all right, but damn. It hurts. “What the hell was that for?” he asks grouchily, sending T.K. a glare.
T.K. looks sheepishly down at the sheets. “Um, well, I might be just a little bit ticklish?”
Carlos blinks at him. “No you’re not.”
T.K.’s forehead wrinkles in confusion. “Yes I am?”
“T.K. we’ve been together for like four months. I would know if you were ticklish.” He knows T.K.’s body intimately. Where he can touch to make him moan, to make him gasp, to make him arch his back. If T.K. were ticklish, it would have been revealed long before now.
“It’s just that one spot on the left side of my ribs,” T.K. tells him. “If your hands start to go there I just take them and move them somewhere else. You’ve never noticed?”
Huh. Carlos sits with that for a second replaying as many of their sexual encounters as he can remember. “I guess…I guess not. Why did you hit me though?” he asks with a frown.
“Ah.” T.K. blushes. “I always move your hands because I can get a little…violent when I get tickled. It’s kind of a panic response.”
“And instead of telling me this you just waited for me to discover it by accident and nearly broke my nose in the process?”
“I kind of forgot honestly. It’s just become a habit to move your hands,” T.K. tells him.
Carlos snorts out a laugh. “Oh my god.”
“Oh my god what?” T.K. asks warily.
“Oh my god…that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard,” Carlos says, full on laughing now.
T.K.’s face breaks into a smile and runs his tongue over his bottom lip. “It is kind of dumb.”
Carlos leans forward and cups his chin, pulling him in for a real kiss. “You’re cute,” he says. “You and your ridiculous ticklish spot.”
“You’re cute too,” T.K. says, then wrinkles his nose. “But you kind of stink.”
“Oh I do?”
“Yeah you do.”
Carlos wraps his arms around T.K. while he yells in protest, holding him tightly as they fall onto the mattress together. It’s disgustingly adorable. And Carlos wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Recovery - Chapter 9

Summary : After relapsing, Y/N wakes up next to Marshall. She confronts Cassie and has an anxiety attack.
Tags : Angst, Comfort
CW : Bullying, Alcohol, Drugs, Relapse, Anxiety attack, Mention of masturbation
When you woke up, you were feeling groggy and nauseous. You groaned at the memory from last night. You felt some stirring beside you. It was Marshall, laying next to you on top of the covers.
Hey, he said in a raspy voice. How are you feeling ? Better ?
Mmmmh, you moaned.
He groaned and yawned.
How about we try some words ? He asked. How are you feeling, Y/N ?
Ashamed, you mumbled.
Shocker.
You stared at him as he rubbed his eyes. You couldn’t help but think that he looked perfect, even in the morning. He was pretty damn sexy, only wearing gray sweatpants with no shirt on. He scratched his beard before looking at you.
Did you sleep here ? You asked.
No, I slept in the garden but decided to come back here before you woke up, he said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes. Yes I slept here. I wanted to make sure you were alright.
Thanks, you said. You could have slept in your bedroom, you know ? Instead of here with me.
And risk finding you dead in a puddle of your own barf ? Nope, he groaned. I don’t feel like having forensics in the house on a Sunday morning. The press would have a field day, though.
Oh my God, the press…, you murmured as you remembered the flashing camera from last night.
I called Paul after you fell asleep, he said. He’s going to try and get the picture deleted. He gave me so much shit about it.
I’m sorry, you whispered as you took your face in your hands.
You were embarrassed. There was so much that you needed to apologize for.
It’s fine, he shrugged. It’s Paul anyway. He gives me shit all the time. That’s kind of his job, you know ?
I’m so sorry I ruined your night…
You didn’t, he said in a softer voice. I mean, I could have done without the worry, for sure, but my night pretty much sucked anyway.
Why ? You asked.
I hate that kind of events, he shrugged. I was there because the Lions PR Team wanted me to do some promo shit. I was supposed to meet someone there to talk about that but I ended up swarmed by drunk people bugging me about the album. And then, I had to take some ho to my place, he chuckled.
God, I am so embarrassed, you whined.
About what part exactly ? He grinned.
All of it ? You said. I mean, you had to help my grown-ass to undress and shower and you held my hair while I threw up. That’s pretty damn embarrassing.
He chuckled and looked at you.
Yup, he simply said.
I’d say the outfit and kissing people was pretty embarrassing, too. And… Oh my God I danced, too, you whined.
Oh yeah. That was some dancing, he grinned.
Just kill me, please, you whined.
He let out a laugh as you buried your face in your hands. Suddenly, the idea of digging a hole and dying there was quite appealing.
It’s fine, he said with a chuckle. I mean, you got some good moves. Didn’t expect you to, to be honest.
Yeah, I don’t know about that…
It wasn’t that bad, I promise. You put on quite a show on the dance floor.
God, I made a fool of myself, you sighed.
I don’t think you did, he said earnestly. Everyone there was doing the same thing anyway… But yeah, that was a bit foolish. I mean, it’s just not you, Y/N.
You nodded softly.
I don’t deserve you being so nice to me, you sighed.
Me being an ass to you wouldn’t help matters, he shrugged. Besides, you already know what you did wrong. You’re a grown woman.
I thought you were going to kill me, back there, you whispered.
Dramatic, much ? He chuckled. I mean, yeah, I wasn’t really pleased with you. I was mostly worried, though…
Mmmh.
I thought you were doing good, you know ? He explained. You were sober for, what… Four months ?
Yeah, going on five, you said with a hint of sadness. And now I threw it all away…
Slipping… it happens, he said. What matters is that you’re able to dust yourself off and try again.
Easy for you to say, you mumbled. You’ve been sober for fifteen years.
He scoffed and shook his head.
You’re not the only person it happens to, you know ? He sighed. I’ve tried to quit a few times before I managed to stop for good. I’ve slipped-up and relapsed a few times. Even after rehab.
You did ? You asked.
Yeah. So I’ve been there and I know how you feel. I just wish I would have known you were struggling, he said.
I wasn’t struggling, you said. I mean… There were times lately, when I missed drinking, but that’s about it. I think that… I have been feeling a bit lonely, mostly.
You didn’t tell me that, he pointed out.
Does it matter ?
Of course it does, he said softly. You matter.
You let out a small “aw” and blushed. He sat up and stroked your shoulder.
So, what happened last night that led you to this ? Walk me through it, ok ?
You sighed and proceeded to tell him everything. How happy you were to see Cassie, how generous and kind she was to you and how much you didn’t want to disappoint her or let her down. How her calling you a dud made you want to gain her approval so badly. You also mentioned that, regardless of the fact that you had messed up, you looked up to her and you wished you could be more like her but only seemed to get as sociable when you were under the influence.
This girl is a bully, he scoffed.
No she’s not, you replied.
That’s high school mean girl 101, Y/N, he said. You do realize she used you as a prop, right ? She played with you like a doll, she dressed you up in that skimpy outfit, ignored you when she wanted to flirt with people and used you to arouse men, either by kissing you or suggesting threesomes…
Well, if you put it like that, it does make her look pretty bad, you mumbled. But she’s my friend !
She's not, he groaned. Talia is your friend. Jamal is your friend. I am your friend. This girl ? Nope.
You sighed. Maybe he was right on some level, but you didn’t want to hear it. After all, Cassie had been there for you numerous times.
Well, I have to see her today, you said. I still have stuff in her hotel room.
I’ll take you, he offered. But first, we should discuss what you’re going to do.
That’s fair. What am I going to do ?
First, you’re going to tell Talia and Jamal as soon as I take you home. They’re your roommates and they deserve to know that kind of thing. Lying about it would be a shitty idea anyway, he said.
Talia’s going to kill me, you said.
She’s not, he said softly. Then, first thing tomorrow, you’re going to a meeting and calling your sponsor.
Meetings are on wednesday, you said.
I’ll get you an appointment with a therapist, then. You need to see someone. The earlier the better. If today wasn’t Sunday, you’d be there already.
You nodded, but tears were welling in your eyes.
I can’t do it, you said as you choked on your words. Marshall, I just… I can’t. I can’t face people and tell them I fucked up.
Hey, he said softly as he took your hand in his. Yes you can, and you will. Shit happens. Do you remember what I said when I took you to the observatory ?
That I’m not alone ?
Exactly. Your road to recovery doesn’t have to be a lonely one, he reminded you as he stroked your cheek. I got you. So do Talia and Jamal. The others at the studio too. They love you.
They do ? You asked.
Yeah. Everyone thinks you’re great. They keep going on about how cute you are. Especially when you fall asleep on the couch, he chuckled.
Thank you, you whispered as you let your head roll on his shoulder. I love them too, you know ?
He kissed the top of your head and decided to get up.
Get up, Dobby, I’ll make you breakfast, he said.
Are you really going to call me that ? You groaned before letting out a yawn.
Yep, he said with a smile. You were right, you do look like a house elf in my tee-shirt.
I wouldn’t have pegged you as a Harry Potter fan, you said with a grin.
My youngest was obsessed with the movies and books for a while, he chuckled. She’d be so proud of me right now. Anyway, breakfast in ten minutes, ok ?
You nodded and took some time to stretch as he walked towards the door.
Oh, and, Dobby ? You’re much hotter in my clothes than in last night’s dress, he added with a wink.
He left the room and you were speechless. You could feel the heat rise to your cheeks.
Have you seen my phone ? You asked Marshall when you walked in the kitchen to the smell of pancakes.
No idea about your phone, but your purse is on the table, he said.
You grabbed your phone, that was inside your handbag and checked your phone. You had about fifty notifications. Had you been sleeping that long ? Had the world ended without you knowing ? Was someone dead ?
From : Unknown. “Hey. It’s Jared. Loved meeting you tonight. When are you free for dinner ?”
From : Talia. “Is that really you in the picture with Em ???”
From : Talia. “Hand holding and stuff ?!?! What is happening ??? I thought you were with Cassie ???”
From : Talia. “CALL. ME. BACK. I need to knoooooow !!!”
From : Talia. “If you call me back I promise I will let the questionable outfit slide. We need to talk about your fashion sense tho…”
From : Talia. “I know the two of you are probably busy right now, but call me back when you can ??? I hope he is ravishing the shit out of you right now :)”
From : Unknown. “I just saw the pictures online. I didn’t realize you were with Em ! Sorry I suggested that date. I didn’t mean to be disrespectful at all…!”
It didn’t take too long to figure out the photos had been published. You quickly went online and saw a bunch of headlines. You also received messages from people you hadn’t seen in a long time. It was as if, suddenly, they remembered you. You knew it was no coincidence.You clicked on an article titled “Eminem in love ?!”.
“Eminem is known to be somewhat of a recluse and very private about his personal life, but he was spotted leaving a fancy fundraising event in Detroit yesterday night, holding hands with an unknown woman. No smile on his face, as usual, but his jacket on her shoulder and the hand-holding says it all ! The rapper was reportedly holding her tightly and keeping her close when they exited the party and hopped in a car, accompanied by his bodyguards. The news has fans in a frenzy and desperate for details. We do not know the name of the woman, who wore a stunning Sandro dress and Jimmy Choo accessories (no doubt gifted by her wealthy beau). It is the first time the Rap God was spotted with a woman since his divorce from ex-wife Kim, with whom he shares three children.”
Fuck, you mumbled under your breath.
What’s wrong ? He asked as he placed a plate in front of you.
You gave him your phone. He took a minute to read the article and groaned.
Guess Paul was too late, he mumbled. I’m sorry about that, Y/N.
I’m sorry, you said sheepishly.
I don’t care, he said. I mean, I’m used to dating rumors, you know ? It just sucks for you…
Well… My phone is buzzing with people congratulating me, you giggled. And at least I don’t look wasted on the pics. Although I think it just cost me a date.
What date ? He asked suspiciously.
A guy named Jared asked me out yesterday, you explained. He’s a football player.
Jared Goff ? The Lions quarterback ?!
Yeah, him. Anyway, he just texted and apologized for asking me on a date and hitting on me, you said.
Sorry for accidentally cockblocking you, he chuckled.
Maybe that’s karma ? You said with a shy smile. Anyway, I don’t think I would have said yes. I wasn’t really myself last night, after all. Poor guy would have been disappointed
He chuckled and you ate breakfast.
You know, maybe it’s for the best, he commented between bites. Maybe you should hold back on the dating thing. You’re going to have to focus on recovery anyway.
I guess, you groaned. That’s unfair though.
How so ? He asked.
I can’t get drunk, I can’t take pills, I can’t even smoke a fucking cigarette and now I can’t get laid ?! You blurted out.
You could tell he wasn’t expecting that statement, as he almost spilled his orange juice.
Classy, he grinned.
I’m serious, though, you pouted. I’m feeling lonely. I want affection. I want hugs…
He smiled as he put an arm around your shoulders.
That’s easily remedied, he said softly.
… and I want sex,you continued.
Aaaand we’re done, he chuckled as he let go of you.
How did you do it ? You asked. How did you manage to stay abstinent ? Also, when did you start dating again ?
You’re 27, for God’s sake, do I really have to explain to you how masturbation works, Y/N ? He groaned as your face reddened.
But it’s not the same, though, you said. I want contact, I want intimacy. Maybe I should get a friend with benefits…
Right, he chortled. Good luck with that.
You don’t think I could get one ?! You asked in an offended tone.
Oh, believe me, after the show you put on last night, I know you could get absolutely anyone, he chuckled. But a lot of people seem to think you are spoken for, now. By yours truly, no less.
Until you put out a statement, that is, you replied.
Yeah, I’m not doing that.
What ?! You asked in disbelief.
A statement will get people talking. Saying nothing and waiting for the thing to die out is probably the best option, he explained. Besides, I wouldn’t be offended if people thought I was with you. I don’t really mind, to be honest.
So, you’re not worried that it would cockblock you ?
Nope. If anything, people might be leaving me alone on the subject for a while. I’m not really into dating anyway, he shrugged.
Are you some sort of asexual hermit monk ? you asked teasingly.
I think we’ve established that I’m not, he said with a smirk. Unlike some people, though, I know how to keep it in my pants.
Oh, I can keep it in my pants, you said as you rolled your eyes. I just don’t really want to.
Right, he chortled.
Anyway, do you know if Porter is seeing anyone ?
He froze as you asked the question and dropped the glass he had in hand, causing it to shatter on the floor.
Shit, he groaned. You’re not serious right ?!
Relax, I’m joking, you giggled. You should see your face, though. It’s hilarious.
You’re impossible, he said, rolling his eyes.
You chuckled and helped him clear the glass pieces on the floor.
Anyway, I get how you’re feeling. But just be careful, ok ? You need to be safe and healthy. That should come first. Not your sexual urges. To answer your question, I didn’t date for a couple of years after getting sober. I just focused on my family and music. Also, I have found that exercising really gets your mind off… You know, he said with a grin.
I’ll keep that in mind, you chuckled.
And if you need hugs, I’m here, he said with a smile. Just hugs though.
You giggled and gave him a peck on the cheek.
Thanks for being so amazing, you said. Thank you for being here.
Anything for you, Dobby, he chuckled.
Anything ? you smirked. Really ?
Oh, man… Why do I feel like I’m going to regret this ? He sighed with a grin.
Well, I do look amazing in that Saint Laurent jacket…, you began. I mean, the pictures in the article prove it.
Not happening, nope, he said as he shook his head.
Can’t blame a girl for trying, you giggled. Your closet is full of great pieces.
I’ll tell you what, he said with a smile, if you’re good and put in some work towards your recovery, I might let you borrow some stuff.
Really ? You squealed. Even the jacket ?
Yeah. Even the jacket. For every sobriety milestone, you get to borrow a thing for my closet. Except for my sneakers and a few pieces of jewelry. The rest is fair game, he said.
I’m going to crush recovery, you said cockily.
Don’t get ahead of yourself, Dobby, he chuckled. You need to stick to therapy, go to meetings, and mostly, you have to call me or anyone else before you fuck up. Not after. Understood ?
Yes, sir, you giggled. Totally unrelated, but is 10 hours sober a milestone ?
Go and take a shower and get dressed, he said as he shook his head. I think I have the clothes you left here last time around there somewhere. Then, I’ll take you to the hotel, ok ?
An hour later, you knocked at the door of Cassie’s hotel room. Marshall was waiting for you in the parking lot. He offered to go up with you, but you figured that you needed to have a talk with your friend, one on one. As much as you didn’t want to believe what Marshall was telling you about her using you, you wanted things to be clear.
Hey chérie, she said with a smile as she opened the door and let you into the suite. Last night was sooo fun. I do have a bit of a hangover, though.
Oh yeah ? You asked awkwardly.
A guy I met took me to an afterparty, she explained. I ended up coming back here in the morning with a couple of people. They just left.
Oh, did you…?
Yes, we fucked, she giggled.
Speaking of which… Can I talk to you ?
Of course, she shrugged.
You sat on the couch and your anxiety levels started to rise. You didn’t quite know where to begin.
What, you mean to tell me that you got laid by Eminem last night ? she chuckled.
W-What ?! No, absolutely not, you said.
Relax, she said. I saw the pictures online, but I figured nothing happened. If that’s any comfort, I don’t think anyone is going to believe it anyway. No offense but… You couldn’t get someone like that.
You furrowed your eyebrows. Was your friend seriously implying that you weren’t good enough for Marshall ?! You sort of knew that already, but it stung.
What do you mean by that, Cass ?
What ? Just the truth, Baby, she shrugged. Men like that, they like beautiful, interesting girls. Not that you don’t look good, but… You’re sort of plain, you know ? You see what I mean, don’t you ?
I don’t, you said.
Whatever, she said. I just think you’re not the type to hang out with someone like that. Even as a friend, you know ? I didn’t mean to hurt you. You know that. I’m just being honest here. I’m your friend.
Is that why you basically dragged me into a threesome with him ? Because we’re friends ?
Oh God, you really haven’t changed, have you ? she asked with a laugh.
You bit your lip.
Seriously, you were always so sensitive, Ms Goody Two Shoes. I flirted, it was a joke, alright ? We had kissed earlier because you were being initiating. You’re the one who told me you were horny, remember ? I don’t see what the big deal is. Nothing happened. Even if it did… You would have had a great experience, she said as she rolled her eyes.
I wasn’t initiating, you muttered.
You said you were horny, she pointed out.
Only because of the stuff you gave me, you squealed.
I gave you this because I knew you wouldn’t have a great time otherwise, Y/N. And guess what ? You had a great time. You danced, you flirted…You were finally acting normal.
I was drunk.
What’s the big deal ? She sighed. It happens to everyone. You were drunk, so what ? No one died.
I just… What I mean to say is… I don’t feel comfortable with what happened last night. It doesn’t sit well with me. It’s not who I am, you know ? You tried to explain, while keeping your composure.
Maybe you should ask yourself the right questions, Y/N, she scoffed.
Meaning ?
Is this really who you want to be ? A 27 year-old dork who is still in school, single, living with two roommates, with a sad social life ? You could do so much better with your life.
In this instant, she managed to break your heart. Recovery and yesterday’s fuck-up aside, you were pretty proud of who you were. Granted, you didn’t have a lot of friends, a boyfriend or a glamorous job. You weren’t a homeowner either. But you always thought you were doing pretty well, especially considering the hand you had been dealt.
Is it what you think ? You asked as your voice broke. That I’m not good enough ?
I didn’t say that, she defended herself.
I thought you were my friend, you muttered.
I am your friend, Y/N. I want you to thrive, she shrugged. You should be thanking me. Honestly, do you have a lot of people in your life who want the best for you ?
I do, you said, feeling extremely defensive. I have Talia and Jamal, I have Marshall…
For how long though ? she asked.
What do you mean ?
I’m just thinking that, if you weren’t such a dud, maybe you’d have more people around you, you know ? You’d have more friends. People you meet would stick around. You’d have a boyfriend. Hell, maybe Simon wouldn’t have left you.
You swallowed dryly and got up. You decided this was your cue to leave.
I can’t take this anymore. Goodbye, Cassie, you said as you grabbed your things before exiting the room.
Y/N, wait…
Tears were streaming down your cheeks when you got to the parking lot. As he saw you come, Marshall immediately got out of the car and engulfed you in a hug.
What’s wrong? He asked.
I’m fine, you lied with a breaking voice.
Bullshit, he sighed. You’re crying. What happened ?
You didn’t talk. Instead, you simply looked in his eyes. As you stared at him, you were reminded of Cassie’s words. “For how long ?”. Suddenly, something hit you and you felt scared. You realized that you were playing a dangerous game. In a matter of months, he had become a constant in your life. Most of the time, not a week went by without you seeing him at least twice. You texted all the time, whether it was to talk about your day or simply to exchange silly jokes. He was always there for you but, as thankful as you were, you were scared of the day he wouldn’t be around anymore. It would come eventually. Maybe Cassie was right. Maybe there was something about you that made people want to leave. And, let’s face it, she was definitely onto something when she said that girls like you usually aren’t interesting enough for people like him. He walked into your life unexpectedly, but you feared the moment he would walk out. He kept on gazing at you, waiting for you to talk, but you couldn’t.
Talk to me, he said softly.
I have to go, you whispered.
Go where ? I don’t understand, Y/N.
You took a step back and muttered an apology before starting to walk out of the parking lot. At that moment, nothing made sense anymore. You realized that maybe you had been wrong all along. Maybe you were in fact a 27 year-old failure. If so, why bother people ? They would be better off without you, right ? Hell, it wasn’t just about Marshall. It was about all your friends. Maybe you should do them a favor and leave them be.
You were still wearing your heels from last night, as you obviously didn’t have any spare pair of shoes at Marshall’s place and had not taken the time to change since retrieving your stuff from the hotel room. Your feet hurt but you kept on walking.
Y/N, Marshall called as he followed you.
Please leave me alone, you said.
I’m not leaving you alone when you’re crying and just had a slipping episode, he said as he grabbed your arm. Just come with me, ok ? We’ll talk.
Get away from me !!!! You yelled as you pushed him.
He looked at you, taken aback. It was the first time you yelled at him and you could tell he was not expecting it. His eyes were full of questions. But what exactly could you say that would actually make sense ?
I’m sorry, you whispered. I just… I have to…
You were panting and slurring your words. It was all too much. The only thing you wanted was to get out of here, but as seconds went by, it was clear that your body would not cooperate. You felt a pain in your chest and your heart was pounding. Despite your attempt to move, you were unable to. To make things worse, your eyes were wide open but you couldn’t quite see. It was all a blur. You were feeling trapped. You were on the floor, your hand on your chest.
Y/N, Marshall said in a soft yet alarmed voice. You need to breathe, ok ?
I… C-can’t, you stuttered.
Yes, you can, he reassured you. I’ll help you. I’m going to touch your hand. Is that alright ?
You tried to nod, to the best of your ability, but your body felt so stiff that you weren’t sure if Marshall could see your reaction or not. Regardless, he got closer and gently took your hand in his before placing it on his chest. You could feel his heartbeat.
Now, you’re going to try and inhale through your nose and take in as much air as you can, ok ? Can you do that for me ?
I…
Don’t speak for now. Just inhale. As deep as you can, he directed. And then, exhale slowly.
Your first tentative attempt to breathe deeply was a complete failure. You thought you were going to end up choking. Yet, after a while, you managed to breathe a bit more normally, slowly. Your hand was against Marshall’s chest, his own breath guiding yours. One of his hands was on your back, gently holding you.
That’s it. You’re doing so good, Y/N, he encouraged you.
Mar…, you began.
Shhh. Just keep breathing for now, ok ?
As minutes went by, you were shivering, but thankfully, you were breathing properly.
You’re safe, he said gently. It may not feel like this right now, but I promise. I got you.
You closed your eyes as he wiped the tears from your cheeks. You stayed like this for a while, unable to tell if it was seconds or hours. Eventually, you came back to your senses.
Do you feel better ? He asked.
Yes, you whispered. I’m so sorry.
What the hell are you apologizing for ? He chuckled. Having a panic attack ? Yeah, you better apologize for things that are out of your control…
You let out a small, exhausted laugh. He kissed the top of your head and you went back to the car. Your body was stiff and tense.
Let’s get you home now, he said gently as he started driving. You need some rest.
Can we… not ? You asked anxiously.
What’s wrong, Y/N ? He asked.
I don’t know, you replied. I just…
If you’d had any tears left, you would have cried. Instead, you just choked on your words. You took a breath and tried to speak more clearly.
I don’t want to face them, you explained. Especially Talia. I can’t disappoint her like this, you know ?
They’re your friends, he said. Sure, once you come clean about what happened and the fact that you used again, they won’t be too pleased. But you’ll be fine. Because they love you and they care about you.
For how long, though ? You blurted out.
What ?
They would be better off without me. Everyone would be better off without me, you said. I’m a failure. I stall people. Who wants that ?
You’re only saying that because you slipped and you’re tired, he replied as he shook his head. Is that what your friend told you ? Of all people, I don’t think she is the one you should listen to.
No, I figured that myself, you said. But as much as I am mad at Cassie right now… She got a few things right.
Oh yeah ? About what ? He scoffed.
I’m a failure, you simply said.
That’s not true.
No, Marshall, you don’t understand ! She said I'm a 27 year-old dork who is still in school, single, living with two roommates with a sad social life. That is absolutely true. She also said that… It doesn’t make sense why someone like you would hang out with… someone like me. She’s not wrong about that either.
He shook his head and scoffed.
I hang out with you because I like you, Y/N, he said. And because of everything else she said.
What do you mean ? You asked with a confused look.
Let’s dissect, ok ? You’re 27. That’s a fact. I don’t have to have an opinion about it. Same goes for the single thing. As for the rest… I think it’s great that you are still in school. It shows that you are driven and that you are full of ambition. You’re getting a fucking PhD, for God’s sake. Not a lot of people can do that, you know ? You’re the smartest person I know. Most of the time, when you talk about your work, I don’t understand a word of what you’re saying. But I see how passionate you are, and it’s fucking inspiring. And you are a dork. But  it’s fucking great. I love that about you. I think that’s the cutest and funniest thing ever. I’m a dork too. There’s nothing wrong with that. And you do have friends. You have us. You have me. You might not be the most sociable person I know. That’s true. But that’s fine. I like that you’re not the loud type anyway. And it’s cool that you live with Talia and Jamal. I’d even go so far as to say that I like it, because otherwise… I wouldn’t have met you, you know what I’m saying ?
You stared at him and nodded.
Don’t let her get into your head, he continued. You’re absolutely amazing. There isn’t a thing I would change about you. Meeting you is the greatest thing that’s happened to me in the past year. You’re a ray of sunshine. Every time you walk in the studio, you make everyone’s day better, just by being you. You make those silly jokes, you put up with us and, most importantly, you get us. You’re not one of those groupies who think of us as stereotypes. Especially me. You’re so genuine, it’s refreshing. So don’t let anyone change that. You are exceptional. You are brave, strong, and beautiful, inside and out.
You couldn’t help but think it was the most beautiful thing anyone had ever told you. Sure, you’d received compliments before, but never to this extent. Hell, none of the people you had dated had never made such a declaration. You could tell by the look on his face that he meant every word he had just said.
I’m scared to lose my friends, you finally said in an emotional voice. Especially you.
You’re not losing anyone, Y/N. Especially me, he chuckled as he brushed your face with his hand. Don’t you worry about that. You’re pretty much stuck with me.
You giggled softly before curling on the car seat and watching him for the rest of the drive. You felt comforted, grounded by his presence. It was a good thing, too, because you weren’t too sure how the conversation with Talia and Jamal would turn out.
