Alien
Clark Kent x Reader
// // : means beginning and end of a flashback or memory
You try to open your eyes as best as you could. Your right eye is incredibly swollen, somewhere above it is bleeding, and you can't help but think about how terrible you look right now. The amount of hours you've spent in this room is a blur right now- you can't remember when exactly they took you. Trying to run through your memories, you're cut short by the door opening again. You hear footsteps before you see the polished shoes. Who else would wear thousand dollar shoes to a torture room?
"Y/N, sweetie. How are you doing?" He kneels to take your chin in his hand. You're too weak to say or do anything against the man. He chuckles. "Surely Superman's identity isn't that important. Is it? He's just an alien." His clutch on your cheeks and chin tighten as he brings your good eye level with his. "Don't make me be the mean guy here. I mean, does Lexxie have to beg?" He throws your head down so you can once again stare at the floor. You slowly fade out of consciousness as Lex Luther walks out of your cell.
// //
"Come on, Clark!" You ran ahead of your boyfriend as he carried the picnic basket. At the top of the hill, you slumped onto the ground and waited for him. Once he caught up, he picked you up to sling you over his shoulder with one hand while he set the picnic with the other. You were squealing the whole time. With everything in place, Clark put you back down onto the blanket. He hovered over you, his face inches from yours.
"I'm glad we got to take this day off, Y/N. It means a lot to me." He kissed your lips gently before pulling you into his chest in a tight hug.
You simply sighed before leaning to kiss the bottom of his chin.
"It's good to just be the two of us, again. Especially after everything with your dad." His grip around you tightened. "I know you still miss him. I do, too, but everything will be alright." Clark kissed your forehead and sighed in response.
The peaceful moment was soon shattered by Clark's phone ringing. Even with his super speed, you checked the screen to see her name. You handed the phone to him as the happy features on your face began to fade.
"Hey, what's up Lois? No, this isn't a bad time." You blocked out their voices as you took out the food from the basket.
// //
The bloody wrench was dropped onto the table with the other tools. Your head hung low, and your hands were shaking. Every inch of you hurt. Every inch of you wanted this to end. Every inch of you wanted to be rescued.
"Who is Superman?" You heard the man pick up something from the table when you didn't answer. "This could all end if you would just tell me. Mr. Luther will take care of you if you just give me a name." It was a crowbar. "Come on. Just a name." As he scraped it against your bare shoulders, you could only smack your dry lips together in response. He brought the crowbar above his head and yanked it back down onto your shoulder. An inhumane noise escaped your lips- you couldn't even scream at this point. As he threw the instrument back, you finally found your voice to speak up.
"Superman is..." the man pulled up a stool to sit in front of you. He pulled your head back by your hair so he could hear you better. "Superman is.."
"Who? What? Come on!" He shook your head.
"Superman is... going to kill you." You grinned, flashing your blood stained teeth. He threw your head against the wall behind you. Everything went black again.
// //
"How come it's always her?" Your shouting at that hour in the night probably woke the neighbors. You didn't care at that point. It was suppose to be your day today anyway.
"Y/N," Clark pinched the bridge of his nose. "You know why. We work together." He turned away from you to pack a few more things into his bag.
"But a week long trip, just the two of you? It's not right, Clark. I know Perry didn't approve of this." He turned on his heel to point an accusing finger at you.
"If you're so jealous, Y/N, why don't you just leave?" The octave of his voice shook the glass around you. You staggered a step back. Apparently, the look on your face was enough to calm the angry superhero. "Y/N, no, that's not what I meant."
Your lip quivered while you rushed to cover your glossy eyes. Turning your head into your shoulder, you tried to muffle the sob that escaped your lips. Clark took a quick step towards you, but you took one away from him.
"Fine." Tears rolled down your face when you looked up at him. "When you get back, I won't be here." A look of horror and, what you assumed was disappointment, froze across the man's features. "If she's so important to miss my birthday, then I'll leave you two alone." With that, you snatched your phone and keys from the table to run out the door.
Once in your car, you knew you shouldn't, but against your better judgement, you looked up from the driver seat to see Superman fly out of your bedroom window. What a great birthday present.
After the Man of Steel was out of sight, something pricked you in the neck; what at first felt like a bug bite, soon turned into feelings of terror as your surroundings began to fade into darkness.
// //
You could still see the symbol for hope leaving you window, even though you have forgotten how long ago that was. All you knew was that you had been through three different men who tortured you differently. Each came twice, but never a third time. Luther would come the third time in between all of them.  And here he was again.
You were laid out on a metallic table- your arms and legs strapped down and only your underwear on. Luther trailed a finger across your broken and bruised body.
"Come on, love. It shouldn't be this hard." He cupped your chin with his hand and forced you to look into his eyes. "I'll reward you if you just tell me. This has gone on long enough. The other girl still hasn't cracked either."
His eyes swirled with something of disgust and amusement, a sharp contradiction that you never wished to see again. You stared into his eyes before sighing. Lex dropped your chin and unstrapped your arms and went down to do the same to your legs. Finally free, you still couldn't move. Everything hurt. Lex calmly walked back towards your head.
"The other girl, Lois, I believe, was seen with Superman just like you were." His expensive shoes made more noise than they needed to. "One of you will tell me." The echo of the clicks rang through your ears. But something else was there, too. A loud thumping. It wasn't your heart, you could at least tell that.
Luther appeared to continue talking, you just couldn't hear him. You focused all of your energy on that thumping. It sounded like waves crashing against a rocky shore, or an avalanche crashing into thousands of trees. What could it be?
Your question was answered by the wall behind Luther smashing open. Several body guards ran through the smoke, only to be thrown out a second later. Your heart rate picked up, and this time you could tell it was your heart. A massive figure sped past your table and threw Lex against the wall. You tried to sit up, but your body failed you. You heard more fighting and yelling. Eventually, all the noises faded together. Your eyes became heavy, and you could feel yourself slipping out of consciousness.
A large pair of arms wrapped around your body to pick you up. You were cradled against their chest. In a last attempt to move, your eyes strained towards your savior's chest and then face. The symbol was of hope, and the face was correct, but the feeling you got was wrong.
"Stay with me, Y/N." Wrong. So wrong. "I will get you out of here and to the Watchtower." A moan escaped your lips, and your savior looked down at you. You saw his eyes.
"Y-you're not S-Superman." Your voice was weak and strained, but you assumed he-whatever he was- heard you. The symbol of hope then morphed into something familiar, yet still so alien to you.

Hook, Line, and Sinker

Author's Note: Hello SuperBat fandom! It’s been a while! ❤ This is for @silivren-vera who requested “Used as bait” from the Hurt/Comfort Bingo that can be found here. I’m accepting requests for SuperBat (Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne) and Buddie (from the TV Show 9-1-1) from that list and that list only. So, if you want one, feel free to message me here on Tumblr! Also, if you have an AO3 account, go ahead and tell me your username in the message (or don’t, it’s up to you) and I’ll gift it to you on there. Enjoy!
Bruce doesn’t exactly know how he got himself into this situation.
Actually, no, he does know.
Because this was all Clark’s fault!
Bruce grumbles lowly to himself as one of Lex Luthor’s henchmen ties his hands behind his back. “Hey, not so tight,” he drawls, feigning stupidity. “So, where am I again?”
The henchman ignores him and ties his ankles to the chair. When that is done, he goes and strides across the room to keep watch in a corner, looking nothing short of bored. Bruce wonders how much Lex is paying the guy to make it worth his wild and contemplates how fun it would be to try and negotiate a price. When Bruce hears clapping, that train a thought flees his mind, immediate annoyance overtaking him. He would know that clapping anywhere.
“Brucie, Brucie, Brucie.” Lex appears in the room with a big grin on his face. “I would have never taken you as Superman’s type.”
Suddenly, Bruce is once again reminded as to why he’s here.
“He just needs the right bait,” Clark says as he lays next to Bruce in Bruce’s bed.
Bruce stretches and folds his arms behind his back, pillowing them on his pillow. “And what do you suggest we use?” Suddenly, a wide, playful grin spreads across Clark’s face. Bruce shakes his head, holding up a finger. “No!”
“You.”
“No!” Bruce sits up, throws the duvet off himself, and gets up off the bed. He begins pacing around the room, clad in his boxer briefs. “No way in hell am I allowing you to allow Lex to use Batman as bait.”
Clark sits up, the covers falling gracefully to his hips. “Who said anything about Batman?”
Bruce stops his pacing, narrows his eyes, and crosses his arms over his chest as he turns to face Clark. “Elaborate.”
“Lex would never dare try and capture Batman,” Clark says.
“You sure about that?”
Clark shrugs. “He’s not stupid.”
“He tries to kill you,” Bruce points out.
Clark contemplates this, shrugs again, and says, “Okay, so he is stupid but he wouldn’t go up against Batman.” Bruce doesn’t comment more on this and instead just rolls his eyes. “Anyway, here’s the plan. Superman gets caught kissing Bruce Wayne.”
“Excuse me?”
“Think about it.” Clark gets up off the bed now as well, striding over to Bruce. “Lex would think Brucie is an easy target. Superman’s boyfriend who Superman will want to save at any cost, including his life. Your job is to be annoying enough to get Lex to bring you to wherever it is he’s working out of this time, secretly disable whatever he sets up to try and kill me before I show up, and then we kick ass together.” Clark is close to him now, peppering kisses down his neck. He pulls back suddenly. “Or, well, Superman will kick ass. You’ll still be Bruce Wayne.” Another smile. “But then Superman can fly his boyfriend wherever he so desires.”
“Are you serious?” Bruce asks, gently pushing away from Clark, not allowing the Kryptonian to distract him. “That’s the worst plan I have ever heard.”
Clark throws his hands out. “Do you have anything better?” Bruce says nothing, unfortunately not having an answer to that. “Look, Bruce, we need to know what he is planning and the only way to do that is to get him to take you and bait me there. We can’t figure it out any other way. We’ve tried.”
Bruce sighs, walking back over to the bed and getting in, not hiding his annoyance. “I hate it when you’re right.”
Clark chuckles and comes over, lying down next to him. He wraps his arms around Bruce’s torso and pecks him on the cheek. “I’ll keep you safe.”
Bruce shoves him off. “I don’t need protecting!”
Clark only laughs at this, pulling him closer still and kissing him deeply.
Bruce breathes deep, trying to calm himself down. “So, Lexie, what do you have planned here? Are we in a giant case of Kryptonite?”
Lex grumbles at the nickname, moving closer to Bruce. “You’ll see.” He leans down, getting into Bruce’s face. “I hope your boyfriend loves you enough to come and save you.” He straightens, shuffling away while mumbling under his breath, “Though I don’t see how he could.”
“Oh, don’t worry Lexie,” Bruce relishes the way Lex’s shoulders stiffen, “I’m sure my sugarplum will be here soon.” Bruce smile, knowing Clark is listening.
As if on cue, Superman bursts through the ceiling, touch landing in front of Lex. “Lex!”
“Honeybun!” Bruce yells, giving his best loopy smile.
Clark’s eyes flit to his and Bruce can see Clark struggling to not smile. “Bruce, you all right?”
“I am now that you’re here sweetums,” Bruce says. “Be a doll and come untie my hands and feet.” He sees Clark roll his eyes and Lex just looks disgusted.
“How can you love someone like him , Superman? He’s so…” Lex waves his hand around, “ beneath you.”
Clark completely ignores Lex and looks over his shoulder. “Don’t worry Love Muffin ,” Bruce’s eyebrow twitches in annoyance, “I’ll get you free in no time.”
“Ugh,” Lex grimaces. “You two are disgusting.”
“What are you planning, Lex?” Clark asks, getting into his Superman stance.
“What I’m always planning, Superman. World domination and killing you.” He presses a switch and suddenly green lights are shining on them.
Clark grimaces, hunching over and Bruce is immediately concerned. He clears his throat, trying to gain Lex’s attention. It works as the man turns to him. “So, I was right? About being in a case full of Kryptonite?”
Lex takes a deep breath, pinches the bridge of his nose while squeezing his eyes shut and says, “Why did I think it was a good idea to use Brucie as bait? Yes, you were right! Now, let me get back to my killing!”
By now, Clark is withering on the floor, groaning in pain and clutching his stomach. Lex walks up to him and takes out a Kryptonite knife. He slices at Clark’s cheek. “Stop!” Bruce yells, trying to loosen his binds. “Lexie! Hey! Lexie!”
Lex turns to him. “What!”
“Oh, you’re actually paying attention to me?” Bruce tries to discreetly slide out a batarang from his sleeve. “What an honor to have the full attention of one Alexander Luthor.”
Clark groans loudly and Bruce’s eyes flit to him on the floor. He looks pale and his veins have turned green. If Bruce doesn’t hurry, he’s going to die. “Would you just shut up, Brucie?”
“How come you can call me Brucie but I’m not allowed to call you Lexie?” Bruce starts cutting at the rope around one of his wrists, thankful that Lex only has a one-track mind when angry and pays no attention to Bruce’s moving hand. “That’s not very fair, Lexie. Don’t you think that’s not fair?”
“I really don’t care, Brucie,” Lex growls, getting closer and holding the Kryptonite knife up to his cheek. “Now if you don’t shut up, you’ll be looking for a new plastic surgeon.”
“Oh, honey, these are natural looks.”
Bruce hisses at the slide of the knife dragging down his face. “I said. Shut. Up.” He then turns back to Clark, who has now passed out, sweat covering his entire body. “Now, back to killing you.”
Bruce cuts through the first rope and quickly unties this other wrist and ankle. Lex is kneeling next to Clark getting ready to strike but Bruce is faster. He lunges at the man, tackling him to the ground. Lex throws him off and advances on him, knife held high at the ready. “You pesky little-”
Bruce waggles his finger at Lex. “Nuh-uh, no name calling, Lexie.”
With a growl, Lex charges but Bruce dodges easily, tripping Lex with his foot. Lex goes flying, the knife falling from his grasp. Bruce quickly picks the knife up and throws it off at a distance that won’t affect Clark once he can get the lights off. Lex regains his balance, whirling on Bruce but Bruce is already on him, pinning him to the ground and grabbing the remote to the lights out of his pocket.
He presses down on the button to turn off the lights and the room is immediately plunged back into artificial white light from the normal ceiling lights. Bruce hears Clark groan in ease behind him. He’ll regain consciousness in a bit. Now to only hold Lex off without giving himself away as Batman long enough for that to happen.
Bruce allows Lex to kick him off, coughing at the force. Sometimes he forgets how strong Lex really is. That’s going to hurt in the morning. He rolls to the side, just barely missing a punch from Lex before crawling away in fake panic. Lex grabs a hold of Bruce’s ankle and drags him back, straddling his waist. Bruce stares up at him, eyes wide in mock fear.
“You irritating, waste of space, imbecile!” Lex grits from on top of him, teeth clenched together so hard that is must hurt.
“Hey! I said no name calling,” Bruce dares, clearly irritating Lex. He gets punched in the face for his efforts.
Just as another blow is about to come, someone catches his fist. They both turn, seeing Superman there, with his eyebrows furrowed and looking rightfully pissed off. “Don’t you ever touch my Pooh Bear again.” Clark’s fist connects with Lex’s jaw hard, knocking the guy off Bruce and rendering him unconscious. Clark turns to him, falling to the ground in a kneeling position. “You okay?”
Bruce sits up, brushing himself off and then lifting a hand up to his aching jaw. “Nothing I can’t handle. You?”
Clark shrugs. “I’ve had worse.”
With a humorless chuckle, Bruce stands achingly and then holds out a hand to help Clark up. Clark takes it gratefully, saying, “I thought I told you to disable whatever Lex had to kill me?”
“It’s not my fault you came too early,” Bruce complains. “Didn’t even give me time.”
“Sorry.”
Bruce shakes his head, dismissing Clark’s apology. They both know neither has to apologize for what conspired during this mission. Danger and near-deaths are part of the job. It’s something they’ve come to expect. “Let’s get Lex’s plans and get the hell out of here.” He walks up to a table with multiple papers strewn all along it and starts rummaging through Lex’s papers. “I hate this mission.”
They find what they came for, finding schematics for one of Lex’s devices to turn the actual sun red and drain the powers from all the Kryptonians on Earth. Clark scans them over quickly, starting to look better and less like death. “It’s a good plan. No wonder why he hid it so well.”
Bruce glances over to where Lex is still knocked out. “Come on, we have to drop him off at the police station, I need to make a statement for getting kidnapped, and then we can go over those plans in more depth at the Cave.”
Clark picks Lex up from the middle, letting him dangle in the air. He then wraps his other arm around Bruce’s waist, allowing Bruce to stand on his feet. “Roger that, Snookums .” Bruce groans.
Yes, this is all Clark’s fault.

A/N: Was that enough hurt/comfort for it to count? I’m going to say yes. ;) Thanks for reading!

Danger Danger
Bruce Wayne x Kryptonian!Reader
Clark Kent x Kryptonian!Reader
Synopsis: You and Bruce split off 2 years ago and he never saw you since then, that is until he saw you at Luthors party as his new girlfriend. What you didn't know, was that your current boyfriend was after you and your blood, because you held a secret that was vital to him.
A/N: I wrote this with the idea that girls skinny to plus size could enjoy it. I mention how you don't compare to a supermodel but if you do baby then great just ignore it and keep reading! If you relate to that statement, I want you to know that you’re beautiful as well! From one plus size girl to another, keep rocking baby. I just wanted this to be as inclusive as possible and I will not hate on any size as all sizes are beautiful. Anyway, I hope you like this!
Tumblr media
It was very awkward for you standing in the room surrounded by people who were 10x richer and prettier than you. Lex was off talking to people and left you in the corner to wallow in pity. You loved him, you really did, but he had a way about leaving you in your most vulnerable state. You held onto your glass tightly, praying for an end to this hellish party that you never signed up for when hooking up with Lex, but now you were here, and he was...
Somewhere else.
“You look uncomfortable” you heard a male voice call out beside you. Turning your head sharply you smiled sweetly at the man beside you, “I am very uncomfortable” you admitted shyly causing the man to chuckle. “Maybe its because you don't belong here” he mumbled out before walking past you, causing your smile to fall and the blush to rise up your neck at his rude statement. Sure you looked out of place, but you belonged here just like the next guy. Clearing your throat, you wiped the back of your hand under your eye to wipe away the tears that silently fell. Sniffling, you stepped forward and made a beeline for the door, hoping to compose yourself in the safety and comfort of the outside air. A hand grabbed your arm, making you spin around in your place and come face to face with your boyfriend. “Where are you going baby?” he questioned sweetly with a bright smile, you read the tone as sweet and caring, but it was anything but that.
He was using you for his plan and he didn’t want to lose you quite yet. Your blood was Kryptonian, it was something you hid from the world, but he found out a year ago and here you were. His girlfriend.
His blood.
He knew that he only needed you for the blood and then he could dump you out into the world, but he found you too early and he couldn't use your blood just yet. Although, it wouldn't be long now until he had the kryptonite and he could use your blood to help him take down the Superman.
He was snapped back from his vision of his plan when you answered him. "I'm just going outside to get some air, Lex... I'll be back" you assured before leaning forward and kissing his cheek sweetly. He let you go reluctantly and watched as you walked away. You better not get hurt... He needed your blood after all.
Walking out to the back, the cool air hit your skin, making you feel a little better. Leaning against the railing of the balcony, you looked out upon the city that laid along the bottom of the hill. It was beautiful and it made you feel less lonely. You hated these parties, even before Lex when you were dating Bruce, except Bruce tried to hide you.
Granted, you were no supermodel and you were definitely not his type, but he liked you for who you were. Which made him different. But what didn't make him different was the way he hid you from the public’s eye. At the parties in his penthouse, he would show up in the helicopter with a model under each arm. The press would go crazy, taking pictures and asking which one he was shagging all while you watched bitterly. You let it slide for a couple years.
But not anymore.
“Still don't like parties huh?” you turned quickly, pressing your back against the barrier as you stared wide-eyed at the man in front of you. In an all-black tux, Bruce Wayne once again took your breath away by just existing. “Better than your parties” you snarked out before turning to your earlier position as you silently prayed for him to go away. You heard a chuckle and shuffling, causing your senses to become heightened. You always hated being on edge, especially with the powers you had, and with Mr. Batman around, it always became harder to relax.
He stood beside you and matched your stance as he stared at the city below. “I never treated you right at those parties... Did I?” he muttered out finally causing you to look at him blankly. He nodded and just watched you as you turned your head back forward. His scent entered your nose and you felt old memories come back to you. Some good.
Many bad.
“I’m sorry for everything that I have done... Y/n” he whispered out before placing his hand on yours. Your head shot to his hand on yours and you practically burned holes into it before he lifted it awkwardly. “I don't know what angle you’re playing here Wayne but I suggest you stop” you snarled out as you ripped your hand away and started to walk towards the door. Placing your hand on the door, you paused as he called out to you.
“I miss you... That's the angle I’m playing Princess”
Tumblr media
Your heart stopped before you whirled around, eyes blazing red as your anger took over and your powers began to ignite. “Good Bruce, then you’ll know how I felt at those parties when I couldn’t touch you” you snapped before closing your eyes and regaining your composure. He wasn't fazed by the violent eyes you just flashed, he knew you wouldn't kill him.
It was just you losing control, something he understood.
Your eyes snapped open showing their beautiful e/c color and you shook your head before turning and shoving the door open. Storming away, you left Bruce breathless and upset. He wanted you.
He regretted losing you.
You were so angry as you stormed through the crowd of prissy people that you didn't notice the giant wall of man until you ran into him. You caught yourself on his biceps before looking up in surprise as he grabbed your waist to balance you. Your heart halted and for once at this stupid party, your lips formed a genuine smile.
“Clark” you breathed out shakily before hugging him tightly. Your arms circled his neck and he pulled you closer into his body. While the two of you had both your powers and home planets in common, you also grew up together. Meaning one thing and one thing only.
Clark Kent meant everything to you.
From learning your powers together to helping each other score dates to the Prom, you two were once inseparable. That was until he moved to Metropolis and you moved to Gotham, so this was a  reunion you were thankful for. Your hug was strong and for once you felt whole and safe, but it didn't last long. The hairs on the back of your neck stood up and you knew who was behind you. Letting go of Clark, you looked him straight in the eyes. His eyebrows crinkled in confusion and concern before you talked to him telepathically.
‘Bruce Wayne’
Clark's eyes flicked up and he flashed a fake smile at the man who approached. You stood at the side under Clark's arm as you glared daggers at Bruce. “Well hello there Mr. Wayne” Clark stated sharply as he pulled you closer into his side. Bruce looked Clark up and down, sizing him up and contemplating whether or not he could take him.
Tumblr media
“And you are?” Bruce asked as his eyes flicked from Clark’s to yours and then back again. “Clark Kent... Me and Y/n go way back... How do you know her again?” Clark sneered and your hand gripped onto his side as a silent warning not to mess with Bruce. “Her ex-boyfriend...” Bruce snapped back intensely. You did not like where this was going, not one bit.
Your eyes flicked around the room as the two men began to one-up the other and your heart was beginning to pound faster and faster until your eyes landed on the platinum blonde nearby. “Alex!!” You called out before running out of Clark's grasp and over towards Lex who turned from his party-goers to look at you sweetly. The two men behind you two watched as you pecked Lex’s lips before grabbing his arm and pulling him towards them. “Bruce, Clark... This is Alex... My boyfriend” you stated firmly as Lex extended his hand to shake each of theirs. His other hand gripped the side of your waist, making you feel safe and secure.
Clark’s face lit up into a bright smile as he shook Lex’s hand while Bruce’s face turned into a dark scowl as he glared at it. Lex retracted it after an uncomfortable silence and he turned back to you. “I see you met Y/n... Such a beautiful thing isn't she. Perfect in every way” Lex cooed at you as he raised your hand to his lips. Clark felt happy for you while Bruce only felt pain.
So this is how you felt at his parties.
“She is” they both answered a little too quickly causing a blush to creep up your neck. Lex looked at them with bright eyes before pulling you closer into his side, “Well she’s mine fellas... But there are plenty of other ladies here that would love your attention.  Speaking of which darling, could you go grab the secretary so I can start my speech?” Lex asked you and you nodded, silently thanking him with your eyes before speeding off. Lex turned and his smile dropped before he leaned in closer to the two men.
Tumblr media
“Touch her, and I will kill you... Got it?” he snarled out quietly, causing the hairs on the back of Bruce's neck to stand up. This man was dangerous and his warning was not because of him loving you... No no.
This man needed you for something.
Lex laughed as a fake smile formed once more when he turned towards the secretary who just appeared before they both took off towards the stage. Bruce turned to look at Clark and they both silently agreed that they were thinking the same thing.
You were in danger.
Bruce turned quickly, looking around the room as he frantically tried to find you. He just needed to see you, safe and sound. Needed to see your h/c hair untouched. Needed to see your e/c eyes bright and vibrant.
He needed to see you.
“I have to find Y/n” Bruce started as he turned back to Clark, but Clark was gone. “Mother fuck-” but then he saw you as you ran out of the building. Bruce followed as he ran out after you. You were about to take off after Clark but the sound of Bruce calling your name made you stop mid-air.
Tumblr media
You looked around frantically before lowering down and rushing to him. You were in full suit. God how he missed that suit, he thought as his eyes traveled up and down your body. Its short skirt accentuated your hips and the tightness of it made your curves pop. The red cape flowed around you as you caught up to him. You were a goddess...
He loved you.
Your heart raced faster as your mind finally submitted to what your heart wanted to do the minute you saw him on the balcony. You grabbed the back of his neck, pulling him down as your lips crashed against his. His hands went to your hips as he pulled you closer. You pulled away with a pop and looked at him sadly.
“That was a goodbye kiss, Bruce... I never want to see you again” you whispered out before beginning to hover above him. His fingers ran down your body as you floated up and his heart shattered when you turned to take off.
“I still love you Y/n” he called out hoping you would return it...
But you just took off. Leaving him alone with his racing heart and clouded mind. Whatever you just did to him, made him want more and he was starting to regret ever taking you for advantage. This new feeling of angst made him forget the feeling of danger that you were in. He turned back to the home, hoping to find Clark there so they could both help you, but after a thorough search, he couldn't find the man. He didn't connect the dots though, simply thinking that the man was trying to find you somewhere else in the large mansion. None the less, Bruce didn't see you for another month...
But when he did see you next, he wished it was under a different circumstance.
Lex had you right where he wanted you, in shackles dipped in kryptonite. You felt sick as you tried to stay awake on top of the building. How could you not have seen this coming? “Alex... I loved you-”
“Shut up whore... I know you didn't and frankly, it doesn't matter if you did. I needed you for one thing and one thing only. You were just too desperate for attention and a way to get over that Bruce Wayne... You meant nothing to me. You were only blood that I needed” he stated firmly before smiling down at you.
Tumblr media
“Why” you choked out as you felt yourself growing weaker. The amount of Kryptonite on your skin wouldn't kill you and the amount of blood he already took would come back quicker than humans, but the two factors stunted your powers majorly. His hand came down and he caressed your hair and cheek. The gesture was sweet, but the intention was sinister.
“You are special... I don't need Superman when I have you... You were such a fool in confiding in me, although, I knew what you were beforehand, otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my time on you. Actually, forget what I just said, you yourself aren't special, but your blood was.” he snarked before gripping your chin and raising it so you looked at him. Your eyes were lazy and you were fighting sleep at this point.
“Then why don't you just kill me know. You already have my blood,” you grumbled out causing him to laugh and let go of you. “Because then I wouldn't attract him...” he whispered out as he walked to the center of the roof. “Who?” you coughed out as you fell onto your side.
“The Bats of course!!! It's so obvious that you two were a thing!!! If I get the Bats involved, he can kill the superman and then I kill you off so there are no more blockades.” he stated as he snapped his fingers, signifying how quickly he would be able to kill you like you were nothing. “You’re sick” you coughed out as you felt vomit rise in your throat.
He just chuckled at you before you both heard a thud from the dark side of the roof. You raised your head a little but not before Lex grabbed your arm and hauled you up. Pressing you against his chest as a type of shield. “Well hello, Batsy... Glad you got my message” Lex teased out as Bruce stepped out of the shadows. The bat ears made your heart race faster as all you wanted to do was run to him and grip onto the ears for dear life.
Like you always used to when you were scared.
“Bruce” you cried out softly causing Lex to press the kryptonite cuffs into your stomach. You cried out and Bruce felt his heart race faster and faster at the sight of you in so much pain. “Let her go Lex” Bruce stated firmly before stepping towards you two which only made Lex step closer and closer to the edge.
“You know whats one amazing thing I found out about little miss Y/n here Bruce Wayne... Kryptonite takes away most of her powers... But fear takes away all of them” Lex snarled as he looked at you sickly. It was true that if you encountered a fear, you lost all powers and it was far worse than what kryptonite could do. You told him this. Which was a mistake... But telling him what you were afraid of?
That was a bigger one.
“Did you know she's afraid of falling... Yes... She told me the story of how she learned to fly and how she couldn't learn by falling like Clark did... The feeling of falling makes her loose that ability and Mr. Kent has had to catch her many times... But you can't fly, can you Mr. Wayne and I see no Superman to catch her” Lex snickered out as he pushed you towards the edge, only holding on to your shackles as your feet tried to keep you on the edge.
You would have fought back, but your eyes were so heavy at this moment. “I thought you needed her blood Luthor” Bruce called out hoping that would change things, but Lex only smiled brighter. “Already did that, she's nothing but a meat sack at the moment... So I don't really care what happens to her” You looked at Bruce silently pleading for him to save you.
“Let her go, Lex... If she means nothing to you then let her go-” Lex’s dark laugh cut off Bruces pleading and he clicked his tongue at him mockingly. “You should really choose your words better” Lex stated before letting you go all while pushing you off the edge. Bruce screamed out for you before running and jumping off the building after you.
Tumblr media
The mix of the kryptonite and the falling had you seconds away from passing out. During the fall, you thought of many things. You thought of how in love you still were with Bruce and how stupid you were for trusting Lex... But most importantly, you remembered your life.
From learning to fly to your first kiss, to now this. Dying wasn’t so bad. “Y/N” you heard and your eyes closed as you saw Bruce stop short on his grappling hook before he swung into a pane of glass and landed safely in the building. You didn't have to worry about anyone anymore. You waited for the impact to come, but you only felt arms encircle your body as your fall was slowed down to a stop.
Tumblr media
Clarks feet landed in the middle of the street as he laid you down. Cars honked but he didn't care as he grabbed at the shackles. They burned his hands as he ripped them off of your wrists and he sighed at the deep burn they made on the skin. He threw it far away before caressing your cheek softly, he always promised to protect you, and if he was only a few seconds later, you wouldn't have been alive. Bruce finally made it down and landed beside Clark with a thud. Dropping down by your other side he grabbed your face with his gloved hand. “She’s not gonna wake up is she,” Bruce asked shakily as he looked up at Clark causing the superman to shake his head. “She will... But” he started as he scooped you up in his arms once again causing Bruce's heart to shatter once more. He wanted to hold you and keep you safe, and he couldn't even save you.
“She needs to get somewhere safe to heal...”
“My mansion” Bruce stated firmly as he stood up and came towards you both. He ran his hand through your hair and nodded at his thoughts. “Take her to my mansion. Alfred knows what to do... I’ll take care of Lex till you come back” Bruce finished before dropping his hand and stepping back. Clark nodded as he turned around, he took off without another word. Set on getting you in a safe area where you could heal and wake up. Clark left Bruce. Alone, angry.
And ready to kill.
And when you woke up... He would make you his and never let go.
(Part 2 will happen don't worry)

A Luthor and A Super Ch. 10
Ch.1/Ch.2/Ch.3/Ch.4/Ch.5/Ch.6/Ch.7/Ch.8/Ch.9
Kara sighed as she stirred slowly the next morning, hearing a pounding on the front door of the penthouse. She grumbled and got up, grabbing one of Lena’s shirts and pulling it on before hopping in a pair of shorts and x-raying the door. “Alex?” she mumbled, making her way out and opening the door. “Alex? What are you doing here?”
“Tracking your ass down,” Alex said, brushing past her sister. “Where were you last night? After you left the DEO?”
“I was here,” Kara said. “I left the DEO and I went to LCorp to surprise Lena. Eve came in and we went to the lab where Lena told me about some experiments she’d been doing because a heart she’d been testing Harun-El on was stolen by Manchester. We opened the vault and I got hit with Kryptonite, and we found out it was Lex’s. We left there and I was here the rest of the night. Lena’s naked and asleep if you want me to wake her up so you can hear it from her.”
Alex’s face blanched and she narrowed her eyes. “No. It was bad enough when you broke her fingers during—ugh. The reason I’m asking is because the President is dead. Oval Office CCTV showed Supergirl roasting him with Heat Vision. Colonel Haley was there as well, and she’s dead too. Several other members of Government were injured.”
Kara’s eyes got wide. “Alex, I swear that wasn’t me!” she said, stumbling back and sitting down at the bar beside the kitchen. “I was here with Lena all night. I swear to Rao that wasn’t me!” Her hands clenched as she looked down, fighting back tears.
Alex wrapped her arms around Kara, kissing her head softly. “I know it wasn’t you, honey. I had to ask anyway. I’ve got some big Government people breathing down my neck for answers,” she said.
Kara nodded softly, looking over and seeing Lena walking out of the bedroom, a robe covering her up with just the quickest flash of purple lace panties, a fact that made Kara lick her lips softly. “Hi, babe,” she said.
“Mm…morning,” Lena yawned, walking over and wrapping her arm around Kara’s shoulders, kissing her cheek. “Woke up and you weren’t there.”
“Sorry, Lena. That’s my fault,” Alex said, explaining about what happened to the White House. “Basically everything’s gone to hell.”
“I would bet that Lex has something to do with this,” Lena said. “He has to. He hates anything and anyone Kryptonian.” She sighed and moved around the bar, setting a tea kettle on the stove. “Alex, we’ve got something we have to do this morning, but we’ll come by the DEO when we’re done, get this sorted out.”
Alex nodded, sighing softly. “Alright.” She kissed Kara’s cheek, reaching over and squeezing Lena’s hand. “I’ll see you soon.” She walked out and shut the door, sighing softly and shaking her head. “This isn’t going to be good…”
Kara sighed, shaking her head as she got up. “First Lex is loose, Manchester steals the Harun-El heart, and then Lockwood and James, and now this bullshit. What the fuck is going on?!”
Lena walked over, wrapping her arms around Kara’s waist and hugging her tightly. “Hey. Don’t stress. We’re going to fix all of this, and we’ll do it together. Alright? It’s what we do, baby. We’ll start with Lex’s Kryptonite, and we’ll go from there. When this is all over, we’ll celebrate and have fun until the next crisis.”
Kara nodded, leaning back against Lena and sighing softly. “Yeah. Which, for us, might just be next week,” she said. “I’m going to get dressed and I’ll go get Cisco.” She turned and kissed Lena’s cheek softly, walking off to the bedroom again and sighing as she rubbed her arms softly, more out of nerves then cold. She dressed in her usual cardigan and skirt, making her way back out. “I’ll meet you at the Lab, Lee.”
Lena set her tea down and walked over, putting her hands against Kara’s cheeks before leaning in and kissing her girlfriend. “I love you so much. Please don’t let this bother you,” she whispered.
Kissing Lena in return, the blonde nodded softly. “Easier said then done, but I’ll try.” She smiled a bit, turning her head and kissing Lena’s palm before she grabbed her bag and walked out of the apartment. She hit the elevator and walked out of the building before she headed into the alley and hit the breach device.
The second breach opened in S.T.A.R. Labs on Earth-1, and Kara looked around, biting her lip softly. “Hello? Cisco? Caitlin? Barry?” she called, starting to walk around. “Hello!! Anyone here?” She turned a corner and yelped as she came face to face with Caitlin Snow, the bio-engineer screaming at the same time. “Caitlin!”
“Kara!” Caitlin said, putting her hand on her chest and sighing. “What are you doing here?! You scared the hell out of me!”
“Sorry!” Kara said with a smile, hugging Caitlin. “I’m looking for Cisco. Where’s he at?” As she asked her question, the man in question walked up behind Caitlin, grinning as he saw Kara. “Cisco!”
“Hey, girl,” Cisco said with a grin. “What do you need? Is something wrong? Someone trying to rewrite reality again or is it Dominators?”
Kara smiled and shook her head. “No, nothing that dangerous. I…need your help. My girlfriend, Lena Luthor, her brother just got out of jail and stashed a lot of Kryptonite in LCorp, and we need to get rid of it. Could you--?”
“I can gather it and breach it to a dead world,” Cisco said. “Or I can breach it right there in the lab.” He smiled and led Kara and Caitlin deeper into the Lab, grabbing his gauntlets and glasses. “I’m ready whenever you are.” He turned to Caitlin. “Do me a favor. If Barry asks where I am, tell him and that I’ll be back to help with Nora soon.”
“Got it,” Caitlin said with a smile and a nod.
 “Who’s Nora?” Kara asked.
“Remember the water girl from Barry and Iris’ wedding? The one that was like…the Energizer Bunny on Red Bull and a sugar high?” Caitlin asked. “That’s Nora West-Allen. Barry and Iris’ daughter from the future.”
 “Wicked!”
“No, not really,” Cisco said. “She’s…kind of gone bad after we found out she was working with Eobard Thawne.”
“That asshole Reverse Flash?!” Kara asked with wide eyes.
“Yep,” Cisco said, tossing his hand out and opening the breach. “Fill you in later. I’ll be back quick, Cait.”
“Got it,” Caitlin said with a smile, watching Cisco and Kara step through the breach back to Earth-38.
The next day, after saying goodbye to Cisco and giving Lena a tour of Earth-1, Kara stood with Lena outside of LCorp, James Olsen in front of them in full Guardian gear with a dozen Children of Liberty members behind him. Kara folded her arms, narrowing her eyes while Lena clenched her hands around the straps of her bag, fully intending on beating the hell out of her ex-boyfriend if she had to.
“Two minutes, James. Talk fast,” Lena growled. “Why did you out Kara to the entire world on live television?”
James scoffed, rolling his eyes. “I don’t answer to you, Luthor. Not anymore. But, since you’re being so demanding, just like you always are, it’s because of jealousy. You two got so disgustingly close after she told you the truth and you got drunk and sent bullshit texts and voicemails, and I couldn’t stand it. If I couldn’t have you, I’d take away what was important.”
Lena dropped her bag and lashed out, slamming her fist into James’ face, making him stumble back before she clawed at him, scratching his cheek and neck. “You son of a bitch!” she snarled, trying to lunge for him again only to be stopped by Kara holding her back. “Let go of me, Kara! I’m going to rip his throat out with my teeth! He’ll gargle in his own blood as he dies! Fucking let me go!”
“No!” Kara snapped, holding Lena back. “As much as you want to break his head open, you can’t. You’ve proven to be better then this, Lena. He’ll get his soon enough when the Children of Liberty are finished. Lockwood can’t hold power forever.”
James laughed, rubbing his cheek and wiping the blood away. “That’s where you’re wrong. He’ll have all the power he needs and it’s thanks to your friend Manchester.” He turned and started walking away, stopping when Superman landed in front of him, separating him from the other Children of Liberty. “Oh, hell.”
“James,” Clark said as he folded his arms. “You’re coming with me. We’re going to have a long talk, and it’s best if your “friends” behind me just drop their weapons and walk away. If they don’t, all thirteen of you are going to jail.” He cocked an eyebrow and smiled. “What’s it going to be, James?”
“Put them down. Weapons, masks, shields. Go home,” James said, looking at the men. As they walked away, James narrowed his eyes. “You won’t get away with stopping me, Clark. Lockwood’s got more then just fanatics on his side.”
“I don’t care about Lockwood. I care about my friend betraying someone that he should have been protecting,” Clark said, grabbing James’ arm. “We’re going to have a long discussion about this, James. You won’t like how it ends.” He lifted up and looked at Kara. “I’ll deal with him. You stop Lex, Manchester, and Lockwood.”
Kara nodded, still refusing to let go of a struggling Lena. “You got it. They’ll be stopped today and hopefully that’s the end of it.” She watched Clark take off with James, and she looked at Lena. “You gonna stop fighting?”
Lena huffed, going limp in Kara’s arms as she got set back on the ground. “Damn you,” she said, glaring at Kara. “Why did you stop me?!”
“Because it’s the right thing to do,” Kara said, frowning softly. “I’m sorry, Lena, but Clark taking him was the right thing. As much as we both wanted to rip his spine out.”
“And beat him with it,” Lena growled, her hands clenched. She sighed and looked away, picking her bag up softly. “Find J’onn. Deal with Manchester. I’ll help Alex find Lockwood and Lex.” She walked off, getting in her car and taking off.
“Lena,” Kara sighed, floating up and heading for J’onns office. She landed outside and smiled softly as she touched the plaque on the doorframe. Walking in, she looked around and bit her lip. “J’onn?”
J’onn walked out from the back of the office, smiling softly. “Kara. What can I do for you?”
“I need to know where Manchester is. I’m putting an end to this,” Kara said.
J’onn got quiet, sitting down at his desk. “Sit.” When Kara did, he sighed softly and bit his lip. “Manchester’s dead. I confronted him at the dam a few nights ago and he tried to taunt me into killing him. Unfortunately, he was using the Staff of H'ronmeer, and when I got it back from him, he tried to attack me again. I…used the Staff and killed him. I’m sorry, Kara. I…” He sighed and put his head in his hands, looking down and feeling ashamed.
Kara got up and put her hand on J’onn’s shoulder before she leaned in and hugged him tightly. “It’s alright, J’onn. You did what you had to,” she whispered. “Did…he say anything about having a heart that he took from LCorp?”
J’onn sighed, trying to think. “He mentioned working on something big to give to Lex Luthor. Said “It’s the thing to beat Supergirl once and for all.” It could be what he was talking about. Why?”
“Lena went to Alex to start looking for Lex and Lockwood, and I’ll need all the help I can get to stop them both today. If Lex has that heart, there’s no telling what he’d do with it,” Kara said. She looked over as J’onn’s phone went off, and she watched him pick up.
“Text from Alex. She’s got eyes on Lex and Lockwood. They’re in the DEO,” J’onn said. “Demanding you show up and surrender.”
“Let’s go,” Kara said, looking at J’onn. “You have to help me, J’onn. I can’t do this without you this time.” She stood back and bit her lip, hoping he’d help. She grinned when he stood up and shifted into his Martian Manhunter look. “Let’s go.” She took off and ran out of the office, leaping into the air and hearing J’onn behind her.
Alex narrowed her eyes, gun in hand as she pointed it at Lex and Lockwood. “You two get the hell out of my Agency now. Otherwise you’re both under arrest.”
“I’m sorry, Ms. Danvers. I’m afraid you don’t have the authority to arrest me,” Lex said with a smile. “Considering who I have with me. Miss Tessmacher!” He turned and smiled as Eve walked in with a surprising figure beside her.
“Kara?” Alex asked, her eyes wide. “No, you’re not my sister. You just look like her.”
“Funny how that happened,” Lex said. “You see, last year when she stopped Ms. Arias, the Harun-El split your sister into two distinct people. Kara Danvers, and my Red Daughter. She’s the one that killed the President, Ms. Danvers. So, you see, having my own Kryptonian to help discredit your sister has worked perfectly. There’s anti-Supergirl sentiment in Washington at the moment because of this.”
Alex lowered her gun softly, looking at the Kryptonian in front of her. “Listen to me. Lex is using you to hurt people. You don’t have to do this. He’s manipulating you.”
The Red Daughter just shook her head. “That is where you are wrong,” she said with a Russian accent. “Alex has proven to me that Americans are the problem. You are all what is wrong with the world.”
“I’m Alex,” Alex said, stepping forward. “That’s Lex Luthor. He’s the bad guy.”
“Listen to her, honey,” Lena said, walking out of the lab and looking at the gathered group. “He manipulated me my entire life, he’s orchestrated a hundred different events to get to this point, and when he’s done with you, he’ll throw you out like a piece of trash. He isn’t the man you think he is.”
“Shut it, Luthor,” Lockwood said, turning and shooting Lena, dropping her to the ground. “Anyone that fucks an alien deserves the same thing the leeches get.”
“Lena!” two Kara’s voices yelled at the same time.
A gust of wind ripped through the DEO as Kara knelt beside Lena, helping her sit up softly. “Lena, are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” Lena said with a smile. “Got the shoulder. Stop them.”
Kara lifted Lena up, taking her back into the lab. “Stay here.” She walked back out, narrowing her eyes. “I figured the Harun-El would have had a side effect on me, but I didn’t think it’d be like this.” Her expression softened, and she folded her hands in front of her. “You don’t have to stand with Lex. He’ll only hurt you. You reacted the same way I do when something happens to Lena. That means something.”
“Don’t let her manipulate you,” Lex said. “This is what you’ve trained for. Kill her and rid the world of her.” He turned to face the Red Daughter. “Do what I’m telling you! Now!”
Shaking her head, the Red Daughter stepped away from Lex. “No. I will not hurt her. I…I do not want to hurt her.”
Lex sighed, shaking his head softly as he pulled a gun out of his pocket. “A damn shame. She could have ripped this planet apart without a second thought.” He aimed and fired at the Red Daughter, a Kryptonite bullet entering her back and sending her toppling to the ground.
Alex rushed over and put pressure on the wound, her hands shaking. “BRAINY!” she yelled.
“NO!” Kara snapped, rushing Lex and ripping the gun out of his hand before throwing it away, pinning Lex to the wall and tightening her grip around his throat. “I could snap your neck in an instant!”
“Then do it!” Lex laughed, holding his hands up. “Do it then, Danvers. Prove to everyone that you’re not as wholesome as they think you are!”
Kara’s hand tightened around Lex’s throat, and she felt his pulse under her fingers, feeling how quick it was. Her eyes lit with her head vision and she growled low in her throat before she slammed Lex into the ground, letting go of his throat and stepping back. “I won’t kill you. As much as I goddamned want to, I won’t. I won’t become the murderer people think I am.” She backed off and walked over to Alex, kneeling beside her clone.
Lex coughed and got up, seeing the Kryptonite gun. He grabbed it and pointed it at Kara before another shot rang out, looking down and seeing blood on his shirt. He hit his knees as the gun dropped from his hand, looking behind him at Lockwood. “Helping them, Lockwood?” he asked, coughing as he collapsed backward.
“Yes,” Lockwood said, tossing his gun down before pulling his Agent Liberty mask off and letting it thunk on the floor of the DEO. “Seeing two Supergirls both care for one human, seeing the compassion in her eyes…I realize I was wrong.” He unstrapped the ballistics vest he wore, tossing it down before getting on his knees and putting his hands behind his head. “The Children of Liberty are done. Aliens are as much people as we are.”
J’onn walked over and handcuffed Lockwood, pushing him over to another agent. “Lock him up.”
Kara kept pressure against the wound softly, watching Alex dig out the Kryptonite bullet. She winced at the sight of the Kryptonite, feeling Alex clean the wound before starting to stitch it up. “You’re going to be ok. Alex is the best, and we’ll get you fixed up.”
The Red Daughter nodded softly, wincing as she felt Alex stitching her back. “I am so sorry. I…I should have seen that Alex—no, Lex was the bad one. I am so sorry, Supergirl.”
Kara smiled, moving her clone’s hair out of her face softly. “Call me Kara. We are twins after all. Do you have a name?”
She shook her head. “I was always called “The thing” or “Girl”. Never gave me a name. I cannot be Kara Danvers.”
Kara nodded softly, helping her sit up after Alex was done before helping her to her feet. “We’ll have time to work on that. Let Alex get you to the medical lab and I’ll be right there with Lena.” She hugged the Red Daughter, smiling softly. “You can be a hero in your own right. There’s times I can’t do it, so it’ll be good to have help.”
Alex smiled softly, taking her sister’s clone deeper into the DEO to finish patching her up, both women starting to talk to each other.
Lena walked out of the lab again, holding a stack of gauze to her shoulder before making her way to Kara. She took her girlfriend’s hand softly, kissing her knuckles. “Are you alright?”
Kara nodded softly, squeezing Lena’s hand softly. “Yeah,” she said. “Lena, about earlier—”
“Stop,” Lena said. “I’m sorry about that. I…I had no right to get angry at you. You stopped me before I did something I’d regret, and I got mad about it. It’s my fault and I’m sorry, baby.” She leaned up and kissed Kara’s cheek before her eyes landed on Lex. “Is he--?”
Kara nodded softly. “Lockwood shot him in the back and surrendered,” Kara said. “He shot the Red Daughter when she wouldn’t kill me, and he tried to shoot me when I put him in the floor. Alex has her in medical. She doesn’t have a name, but it’s something she’ll figure out on her own.” She sighed softly, pressing her hands to her eyes. “Manchester’s dead. J’onn got to him. He said Lex had the Harun-El heart, but if Lex had it, he’d have used it on himself. I don’t…know where the heart is, honey.”
Lena smiled softly. “Maybe that’s for the best. Harun-El was a bad experiment anyway.” She put her hand on Kara’s cheek, brushing her thumb over her skin softly. “Are you sure you’re alright?”
“I don’t know,” Kara whispered, sitting down and sighing softly. “I’m tired. Kryptonite, Lex, Lockwood, James, the Harun-El clone of myself, Haley…I’m tired. I don’t think I want to Supergirl for a while. I…I think I need a break.”
Lena nodded, sitting in Kara’s lap and kissing her cheek. “Then we’ll take a break. We’ll go on vacation. Anywhere you want to go.”
Kara smiled softly and nodded, giving Lena a squeeze. “Right now, we need to go to the medical lab and get that shoulder taken care of. I will not have you bleed out in my lap, Luthor.”
“Yes, Danvers,” Lena said with a grin. She got up and smiled when Kara took her hand, the pair walking down the hall where Alex was with the Red Daughter.
“What do you think of “Karen” as a name, Alex?” she asked, biting her lip as she looked back at Alex.
“Karen. Karen Danvers. Hm…I like it,” Alex said with a smile. “Suits you.”
Kara walked in and smiled softly. “I love it. Kara, Karen, and Alex Danvers,” she said. “We’re the three biggest badasses.”
“Excuse me? I’m here too, you ass,” Lena said, shoving Kara and sticking her tongue out.
“Well…you’re not officially a Danvers yet, Lena,” Alex said, taping gauze down onto Karen’s wound and helping lower the shirt down. “What’s rule number one, Kara?”
“Don’t screw with the Danvers sisters!” Kara laughed, causing Lena, Alex, and Karen to start laughing as well.
Lena smiled softly, closing her eyes as she felt Kara working on her bullet wound. With her brother dead and the Children of Liberty hopefully never coming back, she knew that she and Kara could finally be happy and get on with their lives. If anyone had told her six months ago that she’d be sitting with her girlfriend and her clone after being told her best friend was Supergirl, she’d have thought they were crazy. For once, she was glad she wasn’t because she finally had the support and love she always wanted, and it was all thanks to Kara.

“Cool Down”

If someone walked in, he was screwed.
It was 86 degrees in Metropolis and Lex had spent the past six hours walking on the streets- he’d had to give a speech and talk to a union.
As soon as he’d gotten back to the safety of the Lexcorp building, he’d barked at his secretary to not bother him with anything, shut the door to his office, closed the blinds, and propped his desk chair directly up next to the air conditioner.
And now he found himself in an admittedly undignified position: tipped back in his office chair, feet propped up on the top of the air conditioner so that the fan was blowing cool air directly down his pant legs. It was heavenly. He could already feel the sweat chilling on his heated skin.
He was tipped so far back in his chair he was staring at the ceiling. He’d left the lights off- too bright. Reminded him of the sun. The room was sunken in purple shadow, panes of dim light coming from the slits in his blinds.
He took a luxuriously long gulp of chilled perrier while he loosened his tie and undid the top THREE buttons of his dress shirt (what a scandal).
Lex sank down further against the black leather seat, hearing it creak under his weight as he bent back.
When he heard a knock followed by a quick opening of the door, he panicked. And in his panic, kicked out against the air conditioner. The chair lost balance and with a crash he toppled over onto the ground- legs flying out over his head as he nearly somersaulted backward.
“M-Mr.Luthor?!” his secretary’s voice squeaked, a very reasonable amount of fear in her voice.
“What?!” he snapped, immediately leaping to his feet so fast it made his own head spin. “I told you I didn’t want to be disturbed!”
“I’m sorry” she flinched. “You just always said that Mr.Kent should always have priority and-“
Clark’s head popped through the half open doorway, big smile on his face, not a drop of sweat on him, hair perfectly in place. The bastard.
Lex could feel heat in his own face completely separate from the outdoor temperature. He picked his office chair up off the ground and set it right, as loudly and aggressively as possible.
“Fine.” Lex said, dismissing the secretary with a wave of his hand. She breathed a sigh of relief at avoiding being fired for the present moment, and darted away.
Clark closed the door behind him and sauntered in, hands in his pockets and too smug smile on his face.
You look….” Clark paused, eyes scanned Lex up and down, from the unbuttoned and untucked shirt, the loosened tie, the beads of sweat on his forehead and collecting on his collarbone. “…debauched.”
Lex rolled his eyes. “Not all of us have bodies impervious to changes in climate.”
Clark sat on the edge of Lex’s desk “You wear it well.”
Lex scoffed, sitting back in his chair (though careful to maintain his balance in it now…) and taking another swig of his drink. The bottle was cold, dripping perspiration. He put it against the back of his neck, almost groaning at the immediate cold relief it brought.
When he looked up, Clark was perched on the edge of the desk still, looking at him with his lower lip caught between his teeth. “Want some help beating the heat?” he offered.
Lex took the bottle from his neck and placed it on the desk, then leaned forward, running his hand across his throat and down the plane of his chest, purposefully provocative as he looked up at Clark through his eyelashes. “I suppose you might as well make yourself useful if you’re here.”
Clark seated himself more fully on the desk and patted his thigh. “Put your leg up.” he said. Clark could be infuriating. He had his own special brand of cocky assuredness that he somehow managed to always make seem wholesome and jovial. His eyes were all sparkling Smallville blue skies, not a hint of guile. But the naughty smirk poised on his lips said otherwise.
Lex frowned but complied, slapping his much more slender leg over Clark’s thigh with deliberate and petulant force.
Clark looked him in the eye as he undid the laces on his shoe, easing it off his foot and tossing it to the ground, then pulling his sock off.
He pulled Lex’s leg forward, holding him by the ankle, and dipped his head down, long dark eyelashes visible against his cheek as he pursed his lips and slowly breathed ice breath against the sole of Lex’s foot.
Lex shivered, his breath hitching as Clark looked up from his task, blue eyes meeting his and gaze unwavering as he took a breath and then slowly blew out on each individual toe, his full, parted, lips so close they were practically touching Lex’s skin.
“Does it feel good?” he asked softly.
Lex nodded.
Clark pushed up the leg of Lex’s slacks, rubbing his cheek against the soft, hairless white skin of his calf before breathing gently, cooling the skin to the bone everywhere the huff of air from his mouth touched.
Clark repeated the procedure on Lex’s other foot and leg, delighting when Lex grunted and shifted in his chair when he laid an unexpected bite on his ankle bone.
“Come here” Lex commanded and Clark smiled prettily as he dropped Lex’s leg and climbed across the desk, straddling Lex’s lap.
He pressed his mouth against his neck, blowing cold air gently in between kisses and laps of his tongue which was as cold as an ice pack. Lex groaned, arching his hips up against Clark, snaking his arms around him and squeezing his thighs through his slacks.
Lex loved the way Clark’s erection felt grinding against his through the fabric of their suits. The friction and restriction of expensive designer fabric on him just intensified the urgency of his need. He made a keen of desperation as he humped against Clark, the desk chair squeaking under their combined weight.
Clark unbuttoned Lex’s shirt carefully- knowing from experience that he’d be reprimanded harshly if he dared rip any of Lex’s Armani, even if it was in the throes of passion. Even his fingers felt blissfully cool against Lex’s skin as he slid them across the sweat soaked planes of his torso. Then he dropped his head and ran the tip of his tongue, cold and wet like an ice cube, around Lex’s nipples, drawing them into hard points almost immediately.
“You think you’d be any cooler if you weren’t wearing a suit…?” Clark suggested, pawing at Lex’s crotch, running the heel of his palm roughly over the curve of his cock beneath the seam.
“I have a meeting in an hour.” Lex said between gritted teeth.
“I think that’s plenty of time.” Clark said agreeably. He swirled his tongue around Lex’s earlobe. “I’ll try not to make too much of a mess of you.”
“There won’t be a mess if you swallow it all” Lex replied, pulling his belt undone and dropping it to the ground beside him.
Clark’s mouth was useful for freezing breath but Lex found it was even nicer when it was warm for him.
Lex never got tired of seeing Clark on his knees, hunched under Lex’s desk, taking his cock in his mouth.
He threaded his fingers through Clark’s hair, guiding his head down until he was bobbing over his lap in a steady rhythm. Clark made noise when he gave head- muffled little hums of appreciation that vibrated lovely in his throat, loud breaths through his nose like a race horse that Lex felt in puffs of air against his exposed cock every time he withdrew, and utterly obscene slurping sounds even though saliva always seemed to spill from the sides of his lips anyway once he started going with enough gusto. It was enough to drive Lex mad, digging his fingers against the nape of Clark’s neck as he thrust upward into the tight heat of his mouth.
It didn’t take long before he was coming, arching his back against his chair and holding Clark’s head down so hard that he was gagging on him. Clark swallowed all the mess- as promised- and released Lex with a gasp.
Clark wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and adjusted his glasses as he stood up, looking flushed and pleased with himself with red, swollen, lips.
Lex took Clark’s face in his hands and kissed him, tasting himself on Clark’s tongue before he pulled away.
Clark turned his head away bashfully, smiling. “Zip up your fly, Mr.Luthor.”
Lex smirked at him and did so, but Clark stilled his hands when he began redressing and re-buttoned his shirt for him.
“When does your meeting end?”
“I’ll be home in time for dinner.” Lex said with a bite of sarcasm. He couldn’t take his own domesticity with Clark seriously. It just seemed to improbable.
“Good.” Clark said, taking Lex’s tie in his hands and tightening it up to his collar. He turned to leave but before he got to the door said over his shoulder. “Don’t fall off your desk chair again before then. I don’t want to hear about you injuring yourself.”

The Man Behind The Mask
A/N: I wrote this about a year ago for Wattpad and I’ve decided it belongs on Tumblr Description: What happens when you meet Warning: None Word count: 1.5k
Y/N’s PoV ~~~~~~~~~~
I stood near the door at Lex Luther’s party, suddenly everyone’s heads turned to the entrance as the sound of camera flashes filled the air. An older handsome guy in a rich suit stepped out the black car. “Who’s that?” I asked my friend Jennifer who I came with.
“You seriously need to get out more, miss reporter that’s Bruce Wayne.” Jennifer told me as I admired his good looks.
~some time later ~
“Ok I’m getting tired should we go?” I complained to Jen.
“You haven’t interviewed anyone other than Lex Luther.”
“But Clark is here, so he’s is already interviewing people. What’s the point of having everything twice?”
“You know we can go. If you interview Bruce Wayne.”
“What? No.”
“F/N I’ve seen you eyeing him since the moment he walked in, just talk to him.”
“How do I even start?”
“Just introduce yourself and ask for an interview or something, I don’t know… Wait it looks like you won’t have to he’s coming over.”
“Wait what?”
“Bye.”
“Bye I guess.” I said as Jennifer walked away and Bruce Wayne started to approach me.
“Hello I’m Bruce Wayne.” He said with his deep charming voice.
“Nice to meet you Mr Wayne, my name is f/n l/n.”
“Pleasures mine Miss l/n.”
~~~~~~~~~~ Bruce’s PoV ~~~~~~~~~~
“Alfred she drove off with the drive.” I said through the secret mic.
“There’s nothing you can do now. Go socialise, maybe you’ll bring someone home. Again in your dreams Alfred.” Alfred said threw the earpiece trailing off like he walked away from the mic after saying Go socialise. I looked around and noticed a stunning young woman standing in the corner with who I persumed was her friend.
~~~~~~~~~~ Y/N’s PoV ~~~~~~~~~~ “Mr Wayne I’ve actually wanted to approach you and ask you some questions.” I started, making Bruce roll his eyes.
“Can’t have a normal conversation with anyone here can you? Everyone is a damn reporter.”
“I’m sorry Mr Wayne, I bet you have been asked a million questions today. Truly I’m tired so if you don’t want another exact same article written than just refuse.”
“Well then, I refuse.”
“Very well Mr Wayne, thank you for saving me from more writing.”
“Don’t mention it.” He smirked. “So you’re a reporter?”
“Yeah, yeah I am.”
“Well you’re the kindest reporter I’ve ever met.”
“Thank you Mr Wayne.”
“Bruce”
“I’m sorry?”
“Bruce call me Bruce.
"Well ok then Bruce how come you left Gotham for once?” I said exaggerating the Bruce.
“I got invited here.”
“Well that’s a good enough reason” I said, our conversation then became random as we talked I could see Jen chatting up some guy across the room. I got a text and quickly checked my phone. ‘Jen: Looks like you two are hitting it off. This guy is taking me home see you. Have fun :p’ I smirked to myself after reading the message.
“What’s so funny?” Bruce asked approaching me with two martinis in his hands.
“Nothing just a text from my friend.” I replied.
“Okay, here you go.” He said handing me a glass.
“Oh Bruce I can’t.” I said apologetically.
“Why?” He asked.
“I need to drive home.” I explained.
“One drink won’t hurt.”
“I guess.” I said before taking a sip.
“May I have this dance?” Bruce asked when the song changed. We danced for what seemed like forever after the first song we sort of just hugged swaying from side to side along with the slow music, each of us drink in hand. I realised I was still on that first martini while Bruce was now drinking scotch and soda, I was unable to keep track of how many drinks he already had and when I let go of him saying I need to go to the bathroom I realised he was struggling to stand on his own. When I came back I found Bruce leaning on the wall for support.
“Hey Bruce I’m gonna go home because I have work tomorrow in the morning and it’s already one so I’ll be able to have at least four hours of sleep before work. But I had fun tonight, thank you for making this party enjoyable.” I explained.
“Why don’t I go home with you?” Drunk Bruce said slowly.
“Bruce I don’t think that’s a good- actually ok.” I said leading Bruce to my car.
I woke up and checked the time “shit” I said under my breath when I realised the time was 8:15 and I start work at 9 am. I must of forgot to turn my alarm on, I got up and Bruce? Why is Bruce here? Then it all came flooding back to me, the party and how drunk Bruce Wayne got. I crept round my house making myself breakfast and taking a shower. As I was getting ready to walk out I dropped my phone on the floor and said rather loudly “Shit.” Then next thing I heard was a moan. Great I woke him up I thought, my plan was to leave him here with a note telling him to show his way out when he wakes up but he was already awake.
“Where am I?” He moaned.
“You Mr Wayne, are right now on my couch.” I said in quite a cocky voice.
“Y/N right?” Bruce asked.
“Yes. Now I need to leave to work. There’s aspirin in the bathroom on the side, its quite obvious, take some for your headache and show your self out.”
“So what you’re leaving me here? All alone.”
“ Yes Bruce we are not all millionaires.”
“Very funny.”
“I’d like to think so,” I said sarcastically. “Okay I need to go, help your self to food ect. Bye” I said before rushing out the door. I felt quite wired leaving a topless Bruce Wayne all alone in my house, to be honest I had a small crush on him, I mean it is Bruce Wayne. But he’s just a playboy that’s stayed out of the spotlight for the past fifteen years or so.
~
I was writing a article when one of my best friends Lois Lane came up to me.
“What’s up?” I said turning round in my chair to face her.
“A little birdy told me you went home with someone last night.”
“And who would say that?” I asked her.
“Um someone who was at the party.” Clark said after he came over and hugged Lois from the back.
“Clark.” I moaned.
“What, it’s true you went home with someone.” Clark said.
“Yes, but it’s not what you think.” I tried to explain myself.
“Then what is it?” Lois asked.
“The guy got drunk so I simply took him to mine and let him sleep on my couch so he doesn’t have a car accident.” I explained.
“Well that’s boring.” Lois stated.
“I’m sorry that I don’t have a perfect life with my boyfriend who’s super awesome.” I said with emphasis and they both gave me a look saying shut up.
“So you’re saying me you aren’t planning on seeing him again, I mean it’s Bruce Wayne.”
“Yay, the old but still hot millionaire playboy.” I said sarcastically.
“Admit it you like him.” Lois said as Clark turned around and started talking to someone else.
“Maybe, but he probably doesn’t remember my name by now. Anyway how’s you two?”
“Good, never better I gues.” Lois simply said.
“Y/N this is for you.” A co-worker said handing me a envelope. I was confused, it was fancy and I don’t remember the last time I got a letter.
“That looks fancy.” Lois said.
“I know.” I said starting to open the letter.
“What does it say?” Clark said as he turned around.
“Really the both of you are acting like teen girls.”
“I don’t think that’s what it says.” Lois said.
“Fine it says: Y/N, I had a great time last night. Sorry i got drunk and thank-you for saving me from what probably would be a car crash and letting me sleep on your couch. I would like to return the favour by taking you out to dinner. My car will be waiting outside for you when you finish work. If you don’t want to join me for dinner please just tell my driver. -B.Wayne”
“So are you gonna go?” Lois asked.
“I don’t know.” I said even though I wanted to say yes.
“Come on, you have to.” Clark said like a teen girl.
“Fine, if it will make you happy.” I said.
“So I’m guessing the papers will be blank tomorrow seeing that the three of you are gossiping.” Perry White said.
“Sorry Mr White.” We said almost in sync.
~
I walked out the building and saw a black car. I approached it and the black window rolled down revealing Bruce in a dark blue suite.
“Care to join me? He asked.

finished my young justice rewatch here are some Thoughts And Feelings (this is a very long post sorry to mobile users)
let me begin this post by saying bart allen is my one and only true ultimate favorite, and also if you’ve ever wanted to see (um, hear) me cry you can do that now thanks to bart allen
i was surprised by how much some of my opinions/faves changed tbh? i was. god, i was 13 the first time this show aired and 15 when it ended, so it tracks that now, 4-6 years later (???!?!?!?!?) things won’t be the same, but some changes were. significant
i’m adopting conner, for starters
conner loves sociology. pry this headcanon from my cold dead hands, motherfuckers
conner also knows a lot of really weird pieces of trivia
conner was a good student but also didn’t care about school
i remember not being really into conner/m’gann the first time around but i was kind of taken in by them in s1? these two kids trying to find their home in a world that wasn’t made for them.
conner and m’gann had a lot of date nights themed around Get To Know Earth Culture
some of these involved bioship travels and, like, day trips to paris just because they could
some of these were like. improv lessons and pottery classes.
i’m also still not super happy about the hints that they get back together post-s2. like. i hope they become friends again, that’d be good, but i refuse to believe conner would be okay with dating her again after what she did the first time.
point that has only just occurred to me: in the beginning of s1 conner is vastly uncomfortable with telepaths. by the end he’s totally okay with it because of m’gann. and i’d bet money there’s a point somewhere mid-timeskip where, because of her, he was no longer okay with them anymore.
one the note of the timeskip: five years seems RIDICULOUSLY long to me, especially considering that every plot-significant change happened “in the last few months.” like, what was the goal? aging dick up to nightwing? five years is SO MUCH missing lore, so many stories they could’ve fleshed out. make it two years. hell, if two is a squeeze, i could’ve gone for three. but five years?? nah, dude.
the best thing about the timeskip was domestic wally/artemis, which, like, i was totally enamored with them, so much, and their relationship development, and everything about them
i also liked kaldur’s character a lot more this time around, although i’ve got to say i’m not wild about them basically fridging tula?? (i’ll admit to not being super familiar with aquafam lore, so i don’t know how true to the comics that is, but they didn’t have to do it in the show) like, i know that it turns out he didn’t really go mad with manpain grief and turn evil, but i think there’s an equally powerful story in tula being injured and recovering in a world where she thinks kaldur abandoned her, in kaldur having to lie to her face instead of using her memory as justification
in general i think s2 could’ve benefitted from some trimming? i love all the freshmen, i really do, but it wouldn’t have been the worst thing if there were a few less of them.
alternately - and i know, networks and whatever - if s2 had been two seasons, or even had half a dozen more episodes, i think it would’ve benefitted from that, too
gotta say, the light gets old real fast. or at least, like, the whole “everything got super fucked” “no, everything went exactly as we planned it” things. like, you’re telling me the team never once threw them a curveball. never. really
13yo dick’s shenanigans and wordplay were a lot funnier when i was 13
now that i am an adult i feel..... a little more skeevy about canon-era jaime/bart than i did when i was 15 and i actually knew 13-year-olds who were dating 16-year-olds and saw nothing wrong with it? but i maintain that they have a solid friendship and definitely end up dating once they’re in their twenties
zatanna is my hero
this show vastly, vastly underutilized raquel. it’s a damn shame.
you know who else was great? mal. mal definitely saves puppies in his spare time and knows three languages and at least seven forms of martial arts and every teammate’s abilities and fears and favorite colors and everything there is to know about karen
artemis/zatanna is good
you know how jade just showed up and was like “yo roy look at our daughter”?? i like the idea of jade just, like, casually dropping lian’s existence into daily conversation.
“i miss alcohol now that i’m pregnant,” jade says. artemis chokes.
“this mission can’t take too long, i told the babysitter i’d be back by 9,” cheshire says. “the what,” sportsmaster shouts.
i still ADORE the runaway team, including og!roy, and man, i didn’t come out of this rewatch shipping a lot, but i love the idea of the runaway squad being kind of a tangled poly mess. ed is dating roy and asami, tye is dating asami and virgil, asami loves all her boys and understands why roy isn’t interested, etc.
like this fic for the disney film descendants
but also, like, in general, i really fucking love these kids
this show has a lot of really weird dad plots, which is strange for me bc my dad and i used to text after every episode, but also in general it’s interesting seeing the vast range of potential dads. for instance:
clark “i didn’t ask to be a dad” kent, who eventually transitions into an apparently passable dad? it’s not clear
black manta, who is morally a shitheel but also one of the most supportive dads on this show
barry, who definitely wanted to be more of an uncle than a dad
lex, who wanted to buy his genetically-experimented kids’ love
ollie, who really had a hell of a time
and of course dinah, who is the best mom and probably the best parent on the entire damn show
(also bruce, who didn’t do much dadding, but damn if i didn’t tear up at him talking to dick/tim/babs before he left earth)
gar logan is the team’s adoptive little brother. all of them, but especially the original six. and probably also zatanna and rocket.
i’d be able to go into more detail if we had more goddamn information about who joined the team when, which we don’t, because five year timeskip
but anyways since gar and m’gann are pseudo-siblings they’re closest, and then gar also loves conner, because who wouldn’t love their sister’s cool boyfriend?
conner is overwhelmed and kind of pleased by this
after conner and m’gann broke up gar was very worried that his sister’s cool ex-boyfriend wouldn’t want to hang around him anymore
conner did. conner and gar are basically brothers.
gar loves the entire original team, period
also i wanna throw it out there: ik there was a show-specific comic tie-in. i have read none of it. so if i say anything that doesn’t mesh with that it’s because i don’t care a ton about the comics? the show is probably better anyways
god i think that’s just about everything? so to wrap up this extremely long post i’m gonna go out of bulletpoint style here
i’m excited for s3! i really am. i can’t wait to see what they do with it. but also i’ve been convinced since i was 15 that the very last scene, with darksied and apokalips (which i deffo just spelled wrong but anyways), that scene only exists bc the producers were like “fuck it, we’re getting cancelled, might as well go all in” and just threw garbage in to make it seem like there was a conspiracy
like, this is a deep cut here, but there’s an episode of phineas and ferb that ended with a “next time” that was a series of nonsensical dramatic scenes, and then they tried to make an episode out of it and it was basically gibberish, and i’m really concerned that’s what’s going to happen here
but tldr i did enjoy this show a lot, and i’m glad i had the chance to rewatch it, and if anyone has their own thoughts to share y’all are welcome to hit me up!!

Tim supporting Kon !! can be about something either legitimately angsty (like Luthor being half his DNA) or kinda silly (he was canonly worried about his hair thinning?) or something in-between!!
I got just the thing for you babe, I hit you with fluffy Timkon so let’s bring on some pain.
Kon was angry. It seems like such a simple statement but it doesn’t even come close to describing how he feels right now. He’s felt angry before but not like this. This is a bubbling hatred, boiling under his skin ready to explode. It makes him want to scream and cry and throw up all at once but mostly it makes him want to hit someone. And he knows exactly who he wants to hit.
He’s flying as fast as he can for Lex Corp with nothing but pure, unfiltered rage fueling his flight. Because if he stopped to look beyond the anger for one moment, he thinks he just might drown in his guilt and grief. Conner had been… meeting with Luthor. Lex had been going on for years about how he’d wanted to be available for Kon as a father. Conner had ignored it for so long but since Jon came around, Clark was even less willing to be there for his clone and Conner had well… caved. He’d wanted someone, anyone to give him a little attention, even his most hated enemy.
It wasn’t anything big, they awkwardly talked about normal things and Kon gave extremely edited rants about his problems which Lex would patiently listen to before giving some advice. Conner even took some of that advice. They'd only met up three times but every time they did, Conner felt both relieved and also like he needed a shower. He didn’t even tell Tim cause well, he knows Tim and he knows that Tim would have talked him out of it. Dammit, he should have known this would happen, he should have-
“Luthor!” He shouted throwing open the window he normally uses to sneak in for their meetings, the fragile glass shatters in his hands. Lex is sitting at his desk. He sighs and sets down his cup of tea and raises a mildly disappointed eyebrow at Conner like a chastising parent.
“Why must you heroes always break my windows?” But while the parental tone might have calmed Kon down before, nothing short of a hurricane could stop his vengeance now. He speeds forward and grabs Lex by the front of his thousand dollar shirt and drags him over the desk so the man can understand how upset he is. “Something on your mind son?” He asks in a silky sweet voice.
“You used me,” Conner grounds out because he’s so angry he can’t even get beyond that glaringly obvious fact. “You tried to implant my DNA into pregnant women and babies, just so you could see what would happen. 13 people have already died you freaking lunatic.” He shouts because he can’t believe he had allowed himself to think that Luthor of all people might have actually cared for him as a parent. He’d wanted fresh samples for his sick experiments, DNA Conner has unintentionally given him during his visits, left on the chairs, on the windows, on the coffee cup. He was so goddamn needy that he let himself walk into such an obvious trap. No wonder Clark preferred Jon over him.
“Oh my dear Superboy,” Lex croons, “I was just trying to ensure that your, our, legacy lives on. You were the only stable clone I could create, I haven’t been able to replicate the process since despite my efforts. Your DNA is magnificent, I thought maybe implanting it in pliable, growing cells would create a whole new kind of lifeform." Kon growled viciously and spun Lex around to slam his roughly into the wall of his office. The human winced but continued. "Don’t you see what I'm trying to do for you? I’m trying to give you the family you need my boy, the family Superman and his little club can’t provide for you. I’m the only one who truly cares for your interests Kon-El, even if you can’t see it." Conner is just drowning in his anger and rage he doesn’t even realize he’s pulled back one fist to punch when he feels small, steady hands grab onto him.
"Superboy, stop,” Red Robin says sternly. Kon takes the time to register Tim’s racing heart and shortness of breath. He must have raced over here, and for what? To stop him from doing what they should have done years ago? “Kon, this isn’t right, this isn’t what you want.”
“Don’t you dare tell me this murderer doesn’t deserve to have his bones crushed, his brain bashed in a few times. Do you even know what he’s done to those people? What he did to-” and he bites his tongue because, of all people, he doesn’t want Tim to know his shame. That he’d been so pathetic and so desperate, he’d turned to the devil himself for scraps of love. As if saying that Tim’s love hadn’t been enough for him. Tim’s hand moves down from Kon’s clenched fist along his bicep, resting there with care and assurance. Despite his angry, the gesture is comforting and some of the tension leaves his body.
“I know Superboy,” Tim whispers, “I know about your meetings.” Kon’s heart jumps into his throat. “You made a choice not to tell me, so I respected your decision and didn’t interfere but I did keep an eye on Luthor. As far as I could tell, he wasn’t doing anything unreasonable so this is both of our faults, more so me for letting you feel bad enough to seek him out.” Kon feels himself start to shake with the force of his emotion. “Put him down, Batman and I have the evidence to prove that he’s responsible, he’s going to pay for his crimes but you don’t have to lose yourself over him. He’s not worth it, I promise.”
“He, he used me,” Conner chokes out feeling horrifically vulnerable in front of his enemy and his boyfriend. Because he hates the situation and he hates himself for getting into a position where he opened up his weaknesses and feelings only for them to be used against him. “He used me.” He says again more strongly, once again pushing Lex against the wall.
“He did, and he’s using you again because he knows if you hurt him then he can make all sorts of claims and avoid punishment altogether and I know you don’t want that.” No, goddammit. “So put him down and let him walk out the door. The MPD is outside his office, ready to take him in. It’s over Kon.” Still shaking, he releases Luthor and lets him fall gently to his feet. The man has the gall to smirk as he fixes up his suit.
“Thank you Red Robin, I always said you were the sensible one of Batman’s little brood.” But Tim merely turns to Lex with the full force of bat intimidation weighing down on him. Lex has at least 6 inches on him but Tim seems to loom over him anyway.
“Oh I wouldn’t thank me yet. If you aren’t out of this office and in police custody within one minute, I will destroy you and everything you’ve done, everything you’ve built will be gone. I’m sure you’ve talked to your pal Ra’s, you know my threats aren’t empty. If you post bail or try to skip out of your sentence, you will come back to find your empire in ruins.” Despite the rather ominous, and serious knowing Tim, threat, Lex merely snorts.
“You’ve got good taste in men my boy. I look forward to seeing you both soon, please come pay me a visit in prison.” With that, Lex strolls out of the room like a celebrity but Conner can hear him being forcibly apprehended on the other side of the door.
“Conner,” Tim whispers delicately and puts his hands on his wrists, his long fingers lying delicately on top of Kon’s pulse points. “Talk to me.” Kon turns away from Tim, in shame of what he’s done and of all the emotions bubbling within him. It’s stupid, Tim’s right, it’s over so why does he still feel like crying?
“I know you’re upset Kon and it’s okay, you made a mistake and there were consequences but, to be honest, Luthor would have gotten your DNA either way so this couldn’t have been avoided.” One hand come up to gently turn Kon’s head back towards Tim, “and what also can’t be avoided is your feelings.” Conner can’t help but let out a strangled laugh at that.
“You’re one to talk babe,” a small smile appears on Tim’s face.
“I know, but I am trying to be more available and you help me get through all of my fears, let me feel brave enough to open up and tell you about the things bothering me.” Tim brings his other hand up and pulls Conner down until their faces are right next to each other. “The bravest thing you can do right now is to cry, to let all those feelings out because hiding them all and pretending they aren’t there is what cowards like Luthor do. So talk to me, let me help you.”
And Tim’s soft, soothing voice just does him in. Kon wraps his arms around the most important person in his life and drags him closer. He leans his head down onto Tim’s shoulder and let’s himself feel all the ugly emotions inside of him, lets all that guilt and anger and loneliness manifest in the tears that had been building since this fiasco began. Tim hands are stroking his back and whispering comforting little things into his ear. And it’s not the words Tim says that ease Conner’s soul, it’s the way he says them. So loving, warm and inviting, accepting of him despite how badly he messed up this time. So Conner does the brave thing and hugs his best friend closer, letting his grief out and letting himself believe that maybe someday, he could be worthy of a man as good and loving as Timothy Drake.
