Wanna Be Kissed (Wolfstar)
Okay! So I’ve decided to start bringing some of my fics from Ao3 over here, mostly because I think it makes it a lil easier for people to find! Here’s the first one anyways! (Side note - any remus/sirius transferred will be wolfstar, not coops)
Sirius Black has never kissed a girl. In fact, Sirius Black has never kissed anyone, ever.
It’s not that the opportunity hadn’t presented itself, because Merlin, it had. Sirius was infamous in Hogwarts, the brooding Black boy, the first to not be sorted into Slytherin. The boy who ran away from home. The leather jacket wearing, wild haired, grey eyed mystery man.
Apparently girls were into that, if Sirius’s friends were to be trusted.
“What about Lucy Lancaster?” Peter whispered as the Marauders sat curled up in a corner, their corner, of the Gryffindor common room.
Sirius furrowed his eyebrows, looking across the room to the blonde girl in question. “The fourth year?”
Peter nodded, “Yeah, I mean, she’s only one year younger than us and she’s really pretty and smart.” He gushed.
Sirius looked over at his friend. “I think she sounds more like your kind of girl Wormy.” He said, standing up and moving to sit closer to the fire, grabbing his book off the coffee table as he went. He curled up on the cushy red sofa, but had barely opened the book to the latest page when James Potter himself flopped down next to him.
“I know there’s someone you fancy.”
Sirius didn’t look up from his book. “Do you now?” He didn’t need to look at James to know his friend was flushing a little red.
“Okay well, I don’t know.” He admitted. “But I do suspect.”
Sirius met his eyes, amused. “There’s a fair bit of a difference between knowing and suspecting Prongs. For example, I know that you’re one hundred percent head-over-heels in love with Lily Evans, but I only suspect that you were the one who put itching powder in Lucius Malfoy’s quidditch robes.”
“It wasn’t me.” James grumbled and continued when Sirius looked at him disbelievingly. “Really it wasn’t. That’s not my style… anymore.”
Sirius laughed, patting him on the shoulder. “Yeah I know, Evans wouldn’t approve.”
“Yeah but also I just think we’re a bit too mature for stuff like itching powder when our time could be much more productively dedicated to tasks such as perfecting the map.”
Both boys sighed longingly. The map, their pride and joy. It wasn’t quite perfect yet - they still had a few passages to fill in, but it was getting pretty close.
James shifted in his seat to face Sirius properly, and Sirius mirrored his movements.
“In all seriousness though Pads, you know you can talk to me, right?”
Sirius smiled at his friend in a way that he could only pray was reassuring and nodded. “Of course I know James. I promise if there was anything to know, I would tell you.”
James nodded and stood up. “Good. Okay, I’ll uh, leave you to your reading.”
James retreated back to the others and Sirius watched him go, watched him sit down next to Remus. Watched as Remus offered him a chocolate frog.
Sirius hadn’t been lying to James, unless you counted a lie of omission. There really was nothing to tell - nothing had happened per se. Nothing had happened… recently. Because Sirius Black had been in love with Remus Lupin for a long time.
Remus-motherfucking-Lupin. The bane of Sirius’s existence. The love of Sirius’s life. He had known for years. Known that the love he felt for James and Peter was very, very different to the love he felt for Remus. He didn’t imagine James kissing him. He didn’t take a deep breath whenever Peter hugged him, trying to memorise his scent. So yeah, Sirius has never kissed anyone, simply because it wouldn’t be fair. Not to anyone. Not when Sirius’s heart was no longer his own to give away.
“Pads, we’re playing exploding snap, do you wanna join?” Remus called from where they were all laughing and Sirius sighed, already standing up. He’d never been able to say no to his tawny haired friend.
“Deal me in.”
****
“Fuck!”
Sirius’s head whipped up at the sound of Remus cursing. “Moons?” He called, swinging his legs off the side of his bed and drawing back his curtains, “Are you okay?”
Remus sat on his own bed, a dripping mug in his hand. “Yeah sorry,” he grumbled. “I’m just a twat, I spilled my tea all over myself.”
Sirius but his lip laughing even as he grabbed his wand and spelled away the puddle on the floor. Remus caught the back of his t-shirt and pulled it off over his head in one swift movement that took Sirius’s breath away.
“I cast a cleaning charm.” Sirius stuttered uselessly, his eyes focused on Remus’s lightly tanned skin, the faint whisper of shining scars that moved as Remus stood up.
“I know.” Remus shrugged and Sirius just gazed at those powerful shoulders. “But I still feel it, you know? I just need a new shirt.”
Sirius nodded helplessly as Remus walked to the trunk at the end of his bed and pulled out another shirt. Sirius thanked Merlin that the other boy was faced away from him because there was no way he could disguise his gawking at the dips of Remus’s shoulder blades, the curved run of his spine. Fuck, Sirius would give anything to trace his fingers over that soft skin.
Remus tugged the shirt over his head and crawled back onto his bed leisurely. Sirius’s heart rate was anything but. Everyone assumed that Remus was super scrawny, and they had been right, at least at first. When Remus had arrived at Hogwarts, that’s exactly what he had been - a stick thin little boy with big caramel eyes. But a wonderful combination of a solid three meals a day, a growth spurt and having to stay fit in order to help him recover from his monthly adventures had resulted in Remus Lupin looking like he starred in wet dreams.
(Never mind the fact that he starred in all of Sirius’s dreams).
“G’night guys.” Peter called from behind his curtains, the rest of the Marauders chorused a sleepy response and once again, the dorm room was silent, unlike Sirius’s brain. No, his traitorous thoughts just kept thinking about what it would be like to make Remus shout ‘fuck’ again in a non-tea related incident.
(They were some pretty good thoughts).
****
“Hey Sirius.”
Sirius looked up from his breakfast to see Anna O’ Connell sliding onto the bench next to him.
“Hi?”
“There’s a trip to Hogsmeade today.”
“Yeah, I know.”
Sirius couldn’t quite decipher the look on Anna’s face at his response.
“So… are you going?” She asked, reaching forward and touching Sirius’s wrist lightly. Sirius looked over at the other Marauders who had all stopped eating to listen in.
“Yeah we’re all going.” Sirius said nodding his head at the others. “Aren’t we lads?”
Sirius could see James looking at him with wide eyes and a ‘what the hell are you doing?’ expression and Remus wasn’t looking at him at all. Peter looked nervously between Anna and Sirius for a moment before nodding. “Yeah we are.”
“Oh right, yeah okay.” Anna said, beginning to stand up. “I guess I might see you there so.”
Sirius shrugged. “I guess so.”
Anna walked away and before she was even out of hearing range, James punched his shoulder not-so-lightly. “Mate, what the hell?”
Sirius rubber his throbbing arm. “What was that for?”
“She was obviously asking you out!”
Sirius choked on his pumpkin juice. “Well apparently it wasn’t that obvious, cause I didn't know about it.”
Remus finally met his eyes, wincing slightly. “It was pretty blatant.”
Sirius sighed and slumped forward, resting his head in his hands. “Oh my god I’m so dumb.”
James nodded in agreement. “Yeah you are. But if you went after her now and just explained what happened I’m sure she’ll still go out with you.”
Sirius shook his head. “No I don’t want to go out with her. I just wish I could tell when people are asking me out. I feel like it’s probably something I should be aware of.”
Remus smirked and Sirius’s gut twisted. He loved that little twitch of the other boys lips. “Probably.”
Peter patted Sirius’s shoulder sympathetically. “Don’t worry about it Pads, I’m sure you’ll get it the next time.”
Sirius just stared down at his now-cold toast. “Yeah.” He mumbled. “Next time.”
Sirius sat down on his bed and fell back dramatically, staring up at the rafters of the dorm. His radar for girls asking him out had not improved, according to his friends a grand total of five girls approached him that week alone. He had only known one of them asked him out on a date.
(That was only because she said “Hey, wanna go on a date with me?”)
He had politely declined.
Sirius sighed and grabbed his little red ball he kept on his locker and threw it up in the air as he lay on the bed, finding the steady rise and fall soothing. Most of Gryffindor, most of the castle really, were all outdoors enjoying the first properly sunny day in a long while. He knew if he looked out the window, he could probably spot James, Peter and Remus all sitting under the oak tree they tended to frequent.
There was a knock on the door. “Sirius?” Remus asked, poking his head in.
Or maybe Sirius wouldn’t find them all outside after all.
“Hey.” Sirius said, stopping throwing the ball but not sitting up.
Remus lay down next to him. On the small bed, their shoulders were pressing together and Sirius could feel the heat radiating off the other boy.
“Why aren’t you outside?”
Sirius shrugged. “Just wanted to think I guess.”
“Will I leave you alone?”
If it had been anyone else asking? Yes, Sirius wanted to be alone. But for Remus?
“No, you can stay.”
Sirius resumed throwing the ball, every so often passing it to Remus to give him a go. They lay side by side in silence for several minutes before Remus spoke again.
“Hey Pads? Could I… ask you something?”
Sirius turned his head slightly just for a second to glance at him. “You can ask me anything.”
Out of the corner of his eye he could see Remus biting his lip for a moment as if choosing his words carefully.
“Why do you… why do you never say yes to any of those girls?”
Sirius’s heart stuttered for a moment but he took a steadying breath. “I just don’t fancy any of them.”
“But isn’t that the point of dating? To see if you could maybe fancy someone?”
Sirius laughed nervously. “I guess I wouldn’t know. I’ve never been on a date.”
Remus fiddled with the fraying cuff of his jumper. “Yeah me neither.”
They were quiet again for a moment before Remus started talking again. “Do you think you’ll ever ask one of them out?”
“The girls?”
“Yeah.”
Sirius shook his head. “No.”
“Why not?”
“Because it wouldn’t be fair.”
Remus huffed our a breath. “Come on Pads, that’s a non-answer.”
Sirius rolled his eyes at the typical Remus response, but his lips twitched. “I don’t fancy girls.”
He held his breath, waiting for Remus’s response. He didn’t think it would be bad exactly - he knew his friends! He knew he could trust them, he knew they loved him but sometimes no matter how much logic dictates otherwise, a tiny inkling of doubt can creep in.
“I’m not so sure I do either.”
Sirius wasn’t sure what kind of response he was expecting but it definitely was not that. He turned his head to see Moony already staring at him. They didn’t say anything - they didn’t need to, the look that flashed between them said enough. A quiet understanding. Remus’s lips quirked and Sirius’s eyes followed the movement before they resumed speaking.
“So is there a guy you fancy?”
Fuck this was dangerous territory. But Sirius couldn’t lie, not to Remus.
“Yeah.”
This time it was Remus who rolled his eyes. “Wow that was so descriptive.”
Sirius’s eyebrow arched. “It was a yes or no question.”
Remus huffed. “Fine, fine, don’t tell me.”
Sirius bit his lip. And rolled onto his side to face Remus. The taller boy did the same. “I don’t just fancy him, I’m in love with him.”
Remus’s breathing sounded uneven. “He must be incredible if you feel that way.”
It felt like there was an elephant standing on Sirius’s chest. “Merlin yes. He’s kind and thoughtful and I could get lost in his eyes forever. He runs his fingers through his hair when he’s thinking, when he’s studying I know he bites the top of his quill even though he denies it and when he’s nervous he plays with the cuffs on his jumper and it’s so cute and I -“
Sirius cut off as Remus’s hands stilled. Hands that had been fiddling with the cuff of his jumper.
“-And he’s one of my best friends in the entire world. He’s brave and strong and the best person I know. I would do anything for him.”
Remus stared into his eyes for, Sirius couldn’t even tell how long. It could have been seconds or hours but to be frank, Sirius couldn’t give a fuck either way. Remus’s honey eyes had flecks of dark brown in them and all Sirius wanted to do was map the splash of freckles on his nose. Remus bit his lip so hard Sirius was nearly worried he’d draw blood before his eyes became steadier, more decided. Sirius watched as Remus’s chest rose unsteadily as he took a breath.
“He’d do anything for you too.”
And fuck if Sirius didn’t want to cry. Or jump around laughing. Or shout with delight from the tower. But most of all, he wanted Remus.
Cautiously, so cautiously, he reached his hand out and traced the cheekbones he had so often admired, Remus shivering lightly under his touch. His hand dropped lower as he ran his thumb over Remus’s ever so slightly parted lips, able to feel his hot breath on his skin.
“Are you ever going to kiss me or am I going to have to do it myself?”
“Merlin, I love you.” Sirius breathed before doing exactly that. He leaned down and connected their lips, at first, just a bare brush, Sirius was being so careful, waiting to see if Moony would decide that, actually no, he wouldn’t be making out with one of his best mates today, but that never happened. Instead, Remus tangled one hand in Sirius’s hair and wrapped the other tightly around his waist.
“Kiss me properly you wanker.” Remus demanded and Sirius smirked before pressing his lips against Remus’s and for a moment, that was all he knew. The world could have exploded but all Sirius would have registered was the hot force of Remus’s lips on his own, the fingers curling in his hair and the hand pressing steadily into his waist.
They pulled away gasping, Sirius looking at Remus’s swollen lips with a smug delight. He had always wondered what Remus would look like after a good snog. Now he knew.
“I love you too.” Remus said simply, cupping Sirius’s jaw in his hand and caressing thumb over Sirius’s cheekbone. Sirius’s heart just about exploded and he quickly leaned down to reconnect their lips, gasping as he felt Moony’s leg wrap tightly around his waist and he pressed himself impossibly closer.
“I love you.” He murmured against Remus’s lips. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
Sirius has never kissed a girl. But he has kissed someone. The best someone in his opinion. The only someone really. Remus-motherfucking-Lupin; no longer the bane of Sirius’s existence.
(But still the love of his life).

Complete fics posted on AO3 this day
1. House of Malfoy by @skaryskylar [T, 35k]
▶ The last thing Harry Potter expected from a trip to the grocery was to be snatched up for a modeling gig by one of the biggest names in the industry. With a snarky godson monitoring his every move, a couple mischievous designers pushing him to get with their boss, and his psychic neighbor Luna giving him ominous predictions of his future, he hardly thinks he'll make it through a week, let alone three months, in that mad house.
2. Impeccably Bad Taste by OpeningMyEyes [G, 1k]
▶ In which, Harry gets tired of Draco's complaints and wears Amorentia as cologne one day.
3. Touch by Socrates7727 [?, 5k]
▶ The list of people Draco considered friends was very short, but the list of people allowed to touch Draco was even shorter. Blaise Zabini, his best friend, could touch him. But no one else. When someone breaks that rule, though, Draco can't help obsessing over it... And the Gryffindor who did it.

Impeccably Bad Taste (Drarry)
This might be one of my favourite fics that I’ve ever written? It was just so much fun and I love these two so so much, I’m obsessed with their dynamic!
In which, Harry gets tired of Draco's complaints and wears Amorentia as cologne one day.
“Merlin’s beard Harry there’s not much we can do about being stuck together as potions partners but you could at least not use so much of that awful cologne.”
Harry shot a dirty look at Draco and chose not to reply, instead choosing to continue chopping the newt tails as if he had never heard his Slytherin counter-part. Really none of his complaining was fair, sure Harry wore a dab of cologne but at least it wasn’t nearly as pretentious as whatever citrus-scented shampoo Malfoy used.
Harry tossed the tails into the caldron and stirs it three times, counter-clockwise. He was pretty impressed with himself until it turned an awful mucus green and began spitting flecks of boiling hot liquid everywhere.
“Fuck, what did you do?” Malfoy cried shielding himself.
“I followed the instructions!” Harry protested, reading back over the spell quickly. “Wait shit no, I stirred counter-clockwise, it says clockwise here.”
Malfoy rolled his eyes. “Trust a Gryffindor to be incapable of something as simple as following simple instructions.” He wiped bead of sweat from under his lip and Harry wished his eyes hadn’t followed the action.
Harry stirred the potion rapidly clockwise in an attempt to undo his mistake. After a few moments, it stopped spewing steaming droplets and slowly regained its deep purple colour.
“Shove off Malfoy. I got it back under control, it’s fine.”
“Fixing a problem of your own creation isn’t much of a boast, Mr Potter.” Came Snape’s characteristic drawl. “Ten points from Gryffindor.”
Malfoy’s pink lips curled into a little smirk.
Harry sighed. Just his luck.
****
“He’s just so annoying, you know!” Harry ranted, throwing his hands up in the air as he spoke before letting them fall limp at his side and flopping back onto the grass they were sprawled on.
Hermione raised an eyebrow. “Yes Harry, we know, you’ve been going on about him for, how long has it been now Ron?”
Ron cast a quick tempus, squinting in the light of the sun before turning to Harry. “Twenty minutes mate. That is a bit excessive.”
Hermione hummed in agreement. “That’s a bit of an understatement. Harry, you’ve got to either get over this obsession with Malfoy, or do something about it. Either way, make up your mind soon before you drive yourself insane.”
Harry leaned up on his elbows so he could look at her properly.
“Do something about it? What does that mean? Hex him or something?”
Hermione shook her head and closed her eyes “Yeah, or something.”
****
“There’s supposed to be a faint smell of almonds.” Harry muttered, sniffing the air over their shared caldron. “Can you smell it?”
Malfoy rolled his eyes. “I can’t smell anything over your goddamned cologne. What, do you take a bath it?”
Harry gritted his teeth, trying not to get too riled. It was hot in the dungeons that must be it. It would make anyone irritable. He didn’t want a fight ‘get through this year with as few incidents as possible’ -that was his plan.
“What even is that, sandalwood?” Draco asked. Harry hated that he was right.
“Whatever Malfoy, just concentrate on the potion.” Harry muttered, rolling his shoulders. He could do that.
“I’m trying if you hadn’t noticed.”
There was silence for a few moments as they both leaned over the caldron, taking in deep breaths.
“No almonds, just sandalwood.” Draco drawled and Harry bit his lip. Screw ignoring it.
****
“Hey Hermione, you have a vial of Amorentia, right?” Harry asked his brilliant friend as they sat alone in the common room that night.
Hermione looked at him cautiously. “Yes… Why do you want to know?”
“I was wondering if I could have some?” Harry asked, quickly continuing at his friend’s shocked face. “No! Not to use on anyone, I swear! It’s just to, well it’s hard to explain but I just really need some, only a little dab, I promise.”
“A little dab wouldn’t have much of an effect on a person.” Hermione contemplated.
“Yeah I know, but like I said, I don’t want to use it like that, I‘m not trying to make someone fall in love with me. I just need a little drop, please ‘Mione?”
Hermione looked at him for a long moment. “As long as you’re definitely not going to give it to someone?”
“Of course not, you can trust me.”
“Alright then, I’ll grab it for you. I expect to get the rest of it back.” She said sternly.
Harry grinned. “Of course, it’ll be like it was never even gone.”
****
Harry sat down at the breakfast table trying to hide his smile.
“Wow Harry, you smell amazing, what is that?” Ginny asked, leaning in close and breathing deeply. “It’s like… chocolate chip cookies, right out of the oven.” She sighed.
Her boyfriend Neville who was sitting right next to her, frowned. “That’s not it, it’s more like, soil, the scent of everything growing and coming to life like spring.”
“Don’t be daft Neville.” Ron mumbled around a mouthful of toast. “He smells like lavender.” Ron leaned closer lowering his voice, “Mate, are you wearing Hermione’s perfume?”
Harry bit his lip in his attempt not to laugh and watched as understanding dawned on Hermione’s face. “You used it as a perfume?” She mouthed across the food-leaden table. Harry nodded then lifted a finger to his lips in a silent ask for secrecy. Hermione nodded faithfully.
Harry glanced at the time. “I’d better get going. My first class is Potions and Snape already has it out for me, I can’t be late too.”
His friends nodded in understanding and waved him goodbye. As Harry walked away, all he could hear was Dean’s voice raising above them all, “So what did he smell like?”
Draco walked into the dungeons exactly thirty seconds before class was due to begin. For once, Harry couldn’t wait for his arrival.
They began making the potion in silence. The dungeons were colder than usual – the potions got progressively colder as they brewed and Harry shivered, grateful that Draco was the one stirring today, his long fingers wrapped delicately around the no doubt freezing ladle.
Harry crushed the seven rose petals and levitated them into the bubbling brew, breathing in the refreshing scent that followed. Harry couldn’t help but bait Draco a little.
“Smells good, doesn’t it?”
“Sandalwood? It’s alright, though it’s obvious you love it.” Draco drawled.
Harry’s heart stopped and he waited.
“I meant the potion.” He said barely able to stop his voice from shaking.
“I know what you meant Potter but it’s not like I can smell anything over your goddamned cologne.”
There was no mistaking it this time. Harry was wearing Amorentia but all Draco could smell was… him.
Harry ran it all though his mind, and it all made sense. How could he have missed it? Maybe he was as oblivious as his friends said.
Draco liked him.
And when Harry thought about it, admitted it, he liked him too.
“Draco.” He said and watched the other boy freeze. “Draco , I’m not wearing my cologne, I’m wearing Amorentia.”
Draco turned to him, panic in his eyes obvious but before he could say anything, come up with whatever excuse his Slytherin mind could think of – one that would probably be very good if it wasn’t absolute bullshit, Harry grabbed him by his shirt collar and pulled him in for a kiss.
Draco gasped against his lips, and tangled his cold fingers him Harry’s ever-wild hair and from that moment everything else drowned out. They didn’t hear anything, not the gasps of the other students, nor the ladle as it fell to the floor. No, all Harry could hear was the sound of his own heartbeat – rapid and uneven and feel Draco’s hands in his hair, the sliver of his skin on his neck under Harry’s fingers and those smug lips pressed against his.
He pulled away, gasping and felt his face redden as he realised what he did in front of an audience.
“Potter!” Snape raged, and Harry snapped back to reality, pulling further away from Draco “Fifty points from Gryffindor, for extreme class disruption.”
Draco’s hand slid into Harry’s and squeezed.
“And Malfoy,” Snape continued as he passed their work station. “Ten points from Slytherin, for impeccably bad taste.”

This and That (Wolfstar)
More from my Ao3! Heads up, this one gets smutty so if that’s not your thing then this might not be your fic.
I hope ye like it!
Remus couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t tear his eyes away.
Because Sirius Black had gotten a lip piercing.
“Hey Moony.” Sirius smirked, apparently waiting to see how long it would take for Remus to react. It was the first day back at school after the Christmas break, Sirius had spent it why James and the Potters and Remus had missed him but they had written to each other every day.
But apparently there were some things Sirius had forgotten to mention.
“Hi Pads.” Remus finally ground out, realising a beat or two had passed and he hadn’t answered.
“Good break?”
“Yeah it was nice seeing mum and dad.” If Sirius wasn’t going to mention it then neither was Remus. Two could play at this game. “How about you?”
“Alright.” Sirius shrugged but grabbed Remus’s hand and tugged him closer, burying his face against Remus’s neck. Remus could feel the hard press of the warm metal against his skin and felt a little flutter in his core. Fuck.
“Missed you.” Sirius mumbled and Remus wrapped his arms tightly around him, pressing a kiss to the crown of his head.
“Well hello James, how lovely it is to see you.” James grumbled walking past two boys.
“Hello to you too James.” Remus chuckled, pulling away from Sirius and beginning to walk back to the castle.
“Is Peter back yet?” James asked as they jumped onto the stairs, just as they began to move, the stone sliding seamlessly through the air.
“No.” Remus answered. “I arrived a couple of hours ago and Peter isn’t due back until tomorrow.”
“Cutting it a little close, isn’t he?” Sirius commented and Remus forced himself to ignore the not-yet-familiar flash of metal on his face.
“Yeah.” Remus shrugged. “He barely even wrote to me over the break.” They stepped off the staircase and headed up to the Gryffindor Tower. “He must just be busy.”
“Maybe he’s found himself a girl.” James said suggestively, nudging Sirius lightly in the ribs. Sirius shoved him away in retaliation. Remus just rolled his eyes.
“Calla lily.” He said to the Fat Lady and the portrait swung open.
They stepped into the common room, quieter than it usually was at this time of the night - a lot of students had yet to return. James brightened immeasurably when he spotted a bright head of flame red hair across the room and he passed his trunk to Remus, half in a daze.
“Would you mind taking this upstairs for me please Moony?” He asked, but without waiting for an answer he had already begun to wander away, half in a trance as he wrapped his arms around Lily from behind. She just smiled and leaned back comfortably into the touch.
“They’re cute.” Remus mused as they trundled up the last set of stars to their dorm.
“Yeah, I suppose Lily was excited to see her boyfriend.”
Remus snorted at the not so subtle dig and opened the door, putting James’s trunk down by his bed.
“I suppose James would have told Lily if he did something like get a new piercing.”
Sirius pouted, his bottom lip popping out and highlighting that little silver ring. “I wanted to see your reaction.” He looked down at his feet, scuffing his shoes lightly. “I take it you don’t like it?”
Remus arched an eyebrow. “You’re right.” He said, stepping closer and he hooked his fingers under Sirius’s chin, lifting it so he could look into his boyfriend’s eyes. “I love it.”
A delighted surprise lit up Sirius’s eyes before he leaned up and pressed those lips against Remus’s before pulling away abruptly.
“Ow.” Sirius said frowning, a finger grazing the piercing lightly. “It’s still pretty tender.”
“You wanted to get out of kissing me that badly?” Remus teased as Sirius groaned, tugging him closer by the waist and burying his face in Remus’s chest.
“I would never have gotten it if I knew it meant I couldn’t kiss you.”
Remus chuckled softly. “I’m sure it’ll only be for a few more days.”
“It's already been two weeks. I’ve done my waiting.” Sirius lamented before pressing up on his tiptoes and trying to connect their lips. Remus laughed at the dramatics as he dodged his boyfriend’s eager lips, determined not to hurt him even if he had been dreaming about this moment from the minute they had been separated.
“I suppose we could figure something else out.” Remus proposed and Sirius pulled back just enough to look him in the eyes.
“Oh?”
“Mhm.” Remus hummed, already leaning down to nuzzle Sirius’s neck. “You can’t kiss me, but there’s nothing stopping me kissing you.”
Sirius’s hands tightened at his waist. “ I guess you’re right.”
Remus nipped Sirius’s earlobe, making the shorter boy gasp. “I thought I was always right?” Remus mumbled into his boyfriend’s skin. Sirius groaned, his hands tanging in Remus’s hair. “You are.”
Remus hummed in approval and grazed his teeth lightly over the spot where Sirius’s shoulder met his neck.
“You are such a tease.” Sirius gasped.
“How long do you think we have?”
Sirius quickly glanced at his watch. “Plenty of time. James is just seeing Evans for the first time in weeks and Peter isn't back yet so it's just you and me Moony.”
“Well in that case…” Remus muttered just before he attached his lips to that sensitive spot he had just been teasing and sucked what would become a deep purple mark there. Sirius gasped and his fingers tightened in Remus hair, tugging him closer. Remus licked a long column up Sirius’s neck, stopping only when he reached the top to pull Sirius’s earlobe into his mouth, smirking against his boyfriend's skin as Sirius inhaled sharply.
“I hate you.” Sirius whispered as Remus dragged his teeth along the shell of his ear and Remus chuckled.
“No you don’t.” He breathed, his hot breath caressing Sirius’s skin. “You love me.”
Sirius gasped and arched into his boyfriend's hands as another mark was made on his skin. “Yeah.” He panted. “I do.”
Remus pulled away slightly so he could look into the heavenly stormy swirls of his boyfriend’s eyes. “Merlin, I wanna kiss you.” He mumbled, his eyes flitting down to Sirius’s lips and… that piercing. Not to reiterate, but… fuck.
“Do it.” Sirius dared but Remus just smirked. “You wish, Pads.” He said, before occupying his lips with something a little more pressing than talking right now and kissing the hollow of Sirius’s throat. He pushed the leather jacket from Sirius’s shoulders and then tugged on his shirt. “Off.” He ordered and Sirius scrambled to follow orders.
Remus grinned as he stood in front of a now-shirtless Sirius. He ran his hands lightly over his boyfriend's pale chest for a moment but stopped when Sirius literally whined with longing.
“Eager, aren’t we?”
“It’s been two weeks.” Sirius ground out. “Don’t pretend you haven’t missed this too.”
Remus swirled his tongue over Sirius’s nipple, not deigning to reply. Sirius gasped and reached around for something to grab on to, finally catching one of the bedposts. In truth, Remus had missed this, oh how he had missed this. But right now it wasn't about him.
He pushed Sirius lightly backwards until his legs hit on his bed and his knees buckled, pulling Remus down onto the bed with him. They collapsed onto the soft covers, giggling for a second as they kicked off their shoes until once again the mood was a tad more serious.
“Thought about you-” Sirius gasped, “Every day, every minute really.”
“Oh yeah?” Remus said, looking up for a moment from where he had been kissing a trail down Sirius’s navel. “What did you think about me doing?”
He bit Sirius’s side gently, the way he knew drove Sirius mad. “This?” He asked innocently. “Or… this?” He continued as he circled his tongue on the other boy’s nipple. “Or maybe even… this.” He breathed as he unbuttoned Sirius’s jeans and slid his hand into his boyfriend’s pants, palming his straining, hard cock through his boxers.
“Fuck Re.” Sirius groaned as his hips buckled up into Remus’s hands. “Give me a warning if you’re going to do that.”
“Oh but then,” Remus pouted. “I wouldn't get to see your face when I did something like… this.” He plunged his hand into Sirius’s underwear, eliminating the one, tiny barrier between them and grasped the velvety hardness as Sirius bit his lip, moaning, that goddamned lip ring gleaming. Remus smirked as he swirled his thumb over the tip of Sirius’s cock, his eyes never leaving Sirius’s face, savouring the bitten lip, every little gasp, the cute scrunching of his nose.
That same smirk still played on Remus’s lips as he lowered his mouth, his tongue darting up to lick the bead of pre cum leaking from Sirius’s aching member. Remus watched Sirius’s eyes fly open before clenching shut as he gasped, his fingers knotting in Remus’s hair and applying very slight pressure. Not enough to actually move Remus, but enough to tell him what Sirius wanted. Remus hummed and then without warning, he took Sirius’s entire length in his mouth.
“Fuck!” Sirius cried, not even caring if the entire Hogwarts castle heard him. “Re.” He whimpered and Remus looked up at him through lidded lashes. “Re.” Sirius panted again, “You’ve gotta stop unless you want me to come right now.” Remus hummed to indicate he had heard, but continued his ministrations, his nails scraping lightly over Sirius’s inner thigh, one hand holding Sirius’s hips down while his tongue swirled ceaselessly over the sensitive skin as Remus kept bobbing his head and the next thing Remus knew was the delicious sound of Sirius’s moan as his hips bucked and he spilled in Remus’s mouth.
Remus continued his motions for a moment or two more, stroking Sirius through his climax before pulling away and crawling up the bed so he could lie next to Sirius, studying his face as he came down from his high.
When Sirius’s eyes were clear again, no longer clouded by pure bliss, he reached over and unbuttoned Remus’s pants quickly, inhaling sharply at Remus’s straining cock. Remus watched as Sirius wrapped his long, slim fingers around him and found himself bucking involuntarily into Sirius’s palm. Sirius laughed a little when Remus climaxed after a few quick tugs but Remus just shoved his shoulder slightly as he cast a wandless cleaning charm.
“A little eager, Re?”
“Oh fuck off.” Remus scoffed. “As if you were much better. Besides, I’ve been dreaming about this for a while now.”
Sirius’s eyes darkened even as he tucked himself into Remus’s open arms, entwining their legs. Remus rolled his eyes.
“Ready to go again so soon Pads. Hm, maybe I’ll just have to prove my stamina this time.”
“Mmm, don’t worry Moony, I know all about your impressive stamina.”
“Good.” Remus found himself mumbling even as he giggled into Sirius’s neck and Sirius huffed a laugh from where his face was buried in Remus’s chest.
“I love you.” Remus whispered. “So, so much.”
Sirius’s grip on him tightened infinitely as he took a slightly quivering breath. “There aren’t enough words for me to describe how much I love you Remus Lupin.”
Remus kissed Sirius’s neck, where his lips rested as he began to drift towards sleep. “Can’t be as much as I love that fucking lip ring.”

Cardigan (Wolfstar)
I sat down to write a teeny drabble with two lines from the song Cardigan by Taylor Swift. It quickly spiralled into this. (I really love it though).
Set in the cannon universe, cw for mentions of death, injuries and scars. (Nothing graphic though).
I knew you, dancing in your Levi’s drunk under a streetlight.
“Shh! Pads. you’re gonna get us caught!” Remus half-whispered, his own voice a tad too loud for his own liking but his slightly tipsy state didn’t allow for a lower volume. Sirius spun into him smushing his fingers right up against Remus’ lips, both of them chest to chest under James’ cloak. It was hard to believe the four of them mused to fit under this - now it only just about covered Remus and Sirius even with Remus ducking down to Sirius’ height.
“Come on Moony, you’re ‘Perfect Mister Prefect’,” He said, punctuating each word of the grand title with his index finger poking into Remus; chest. “Even if we do get caught, you can charm our way out of it.”
Remus rolled his eyes, but followed. The passage was dim and the ground was uneven and to be perfectly honest, they hadn’t yet discovered if this particular passage way had been caved in since they last explored it the previous year, but Sirius seemed sure of himself and that was enough for Remus. If Sirius was the one leading, he’d always follow.
“Alright, but I’m late on a transfiguration essay, so if Minnie catches us, you’re on your own. I need to save my charm for that.” He said, his tone stern, but all his reserve melted when Sirius smiled up at him and pressed a victorious kiss to his cheek.
“I take back your title.” Sirius said dramatically, looking at Remus with a smug righteousness. “Apparently ‘Perfect Mister Prefect’ isn’t so perfect after all.”
He pressed his mouth right up next to Remus’ ear just as they stepped out the little secret entrance, ducking under the ivy trellis that hid their little passageway. “It’s a good thing I like bad boys.” Sirius breathed, and Remus couldn’t wait any more, not caring whether the cloak revealed their ankles or not when he pulled Sirius in for a blazing kiss.
“I love you, you know that, right?”
Sirius smirked and kissed him again. “That seems to be the general consensus.”
Remus laughed and took off walking again, tugging the cloak off as soon as they were far enough away from the school, catching hands and spinning under the soft glow of the lamplights illuminating the path to Hogsmeade. Sirius tilted his head back, still spinning, their hands acting as the axis that centred the entire universe.
“I love you too.”
I knew you, hands under my sweatshirt, baby kiss it better.
“Sirius, if you don’t start being more careful, I’m gonna-”
“What?” Sirius teased, wriggling his eyebrows suggestively, looking far too haughty for a man sitting on a countertop, his legs dangling in the air. “What’re you gonna do Re? You gonna punish me?”
Remus pursed his lips to try hide his smile, but gave in, kissing Sirius once briefly.
“No,” He said, pulling up Sirius’ jumper to get a proper look at the gash he had acquired after climbing a tree. Then subsequently falling out of said tree. “But I will send you to Madam Pomfrey and have you try to explain to her that you thought you’d be able to pull off a levitation charm if there was a ‘more extreme sense of urgency’.” He finished, mocking Sirius’ words from earlier.
Sirius just scrunched up his face playfully in retaliation, before breathing in shakily as Remus coated the cut with a liberal amount of salve, watching in fascination as the skin knitted back together.
“There.” He said, straightening up to stand between Sirius’ legs, pulling down his jumper again. “Good as new.”
“Nah ah.” Sirius countered, shaking his head as his legs locked behind Remus’ back, binding them together. “Gotta kiss it better.”
Remus wet his lips, shaking his head in fond disbelief, but leaned in willingly, feeling the hot slide of Sirius’ mouth against his own cooler one.
“All better?” Remus asked, panting slightly as they rested their foreheads together.
Sirius shrugged, hooking his arm more firmly around Remus’ neck. “Close, but not quite better yet.”
Remus huffed a laugh through his nose, but gladly locked their lips together again, the pair fully intertwined as if they had been made for each other.
(And maybe they had. For what else was the moon to do but love the stars?)
And when I felt like I was an old cardigan, under someone’s bed, you put me on and said I was your favourite.
“Sirius?” Re said softly, pushing the door to their dorm open slowly. “Are you here?”
“Yeah,” Came a muffled reply. “I’m here.”
Remus stepped into the room, looking first to Sirius’ bed to find it empty. Remus frowned, looking around to find Sirius curled up on Remus’ own bed, his favourite cardigan folded gently around him.
“Hi sweetheart,” Remus said, voice hushed as he climbed onto the bed next to the other boy, noting the red stained eyes and puffed lips. “What do you need?”
At the words, anything that seemed to be holding Sirius together until that point shattered, the raven haired boy collapsing into Sirius’ arms.
“Re,” He gasped, between his sobs as Remus just pulled him closer. “Why is it possible to love someone who hates you? Isn’t love supposed to be good? If it’s so great, then why the fuck does it hurt so much?”
Remus’ heart clenched. Regulus.
“I don’t know sweetheart,” He murmured, holding Sirius close. “But it makes us who we are.” He cupped Sirius’ face so he could meet the raging stormy eyes. “It’s better to have loved and have lost than to never have loved at all.”
Sirius just blinked at him.
“But for the record,” Remus said, touching their heads together. “I don’t think you’ve lost him. He’s just lost right now. But he’ll find his way back to you.”
Sirius nodded, and slumped against Remus’ chest, no longer crying, just breathing deeply.
“You know Remus Lupin,” He whispered after a while. “I don’t care how long it takes, but I’m gonna marry you someday.”
To kiss in cars, and downtown bars, was all we needed.
“Oh Merlin, they’re snogging again.” Peter commented as he turned his head to spot James and Lily, leaning in for a kiss. Remus, currently with his tongue in Sirius’ mouth heard this, but let Peter discover the other couple in his own time.
“Christ, the pair of you are too. You’re all fuckin at it.” He grumbled. If Remus’ mouth wasn’t already a little preoccupied, he would have laughed. There it was.
“Right, I’m off to find humans capable of holding decent conversation.” Peter muttered and he might have left. He could have stayed and done a jig on the table for all Remus cared, but in this moment, he noticed none of it. What was the poem he had read somewhere? Stars and moths and rinds slanting around fruit. This moment.
You drew stars around my scars and now I’m bleeding.
“Hey, look at this.” Sirius said somewhat excitedly, rolling away from Remus momentarily and returning with a quill and a jar of ink.
Remus eyed him skeptically, his arm tucked under his head as they lounged on his bed, the curtains drawn to create the illusion of their own little oasis.
“I bet I could draw stars on your chest and then your scars could connect them, like in astronomy.”
Remus bit his lip, looking at Sirius’ appraised expression. “I feel like I should say no,” He said slowly, even as he unscrewed the ink. “But go for it.”
Sirius grinned triumphantly and studied Remus for a minute, brushing the quill over his lips as he concentrated. Remus couldn’t help but muse that if Sirius put half as much effort into his schoolwork as he was doing here, he would be top of the class. Finally, Sirius ditched the quill, dipping a finger into the ink directly.
“I don’t want the point of the quill to scratch you.” He explained, after noticing Remus’ raised eyebrow. Something warmed inside Remus’ chest while something cold trickled over the outside. Remus closed his eyes and let himself focus on the slightly ticklish, but mostly soothing sensation of Sirius tracing patterns over his skin.
“Done.” Sirius muttered after a while and Remus opened his eyes, raising his head a little to peer down at himself. He looked like some abstract piece of art, covered in black and blue and red and green, scars shining silver between it all.
“Woah,” He breathed, “That’s pretty cool.”
Sirius grinned, then pointed to a star just over Remus; appendix. “That’s Sirius right there.”
Remus hummed, pursing his lips together, then grabbed a jar of ink, tracing a star a little messily, right over his heart.
“Nah,” He countered, “Sirius is there.”
Sirius rolled his eyes, but came up to press their lips together. In the morning, they both looked like works of art.
But I knew you, stepping on the last train, marked me like a blood stain.
“I can’t believe this is the last time we’ll be taking this train.” James said, the four of them standing in a row on the platform, not yet ready to get on.
“We’ll be back.” Remus said. “Someday, we’ll be back.”
Sirius linked their fingers together. As one, the marauders stepped onto the train.
Mischief Managed.
I knew you, tried to change the ending, Peter losing Wendy.
Remus just stared at the auror.
“Mr Lupin,” The man said gently, playing his hand tenderly on Remus’ arm. Remus didn’t know what his name was. It was probable the man had said it but Remus wasn’t listening. Everything had gone dark. “I realise this must come as a shock.”
Remus wrenched his arm back, shaking his head. “A shock?” He laughed a little manically. “No, you’re wrong.”
“Mr Lupin, we have evidence that Sirius Black was the one to-”
“Well you’re wrong!” Remus yelled. Or maybe he had whispered. It was possible he hadn’t even spoken at all, but the words swirled around and around in his head. “I don’t know how, but you’re wrong. You’re wrong, this isn’t right, you have it all wrong, he would never-”
Remus gasped, pressing a hand to his cracking heart as if it would hold him together. “He would never.” He repeated, his voice breaking, tears streaming down his cheeks. When they had gotten there, he didn’t know, but their presence was suddenly noticeable with the cold rush against Remus’ skin.
“I’m so sorry.” The auror said and then he was gone. And Remus was alone.
Had it always been this way? Remus alone. Remus with friends. Remus with Sirius. Remus alone.
Maybe he had made the entire thing up.
But dreams didn’t leave you feeling like the last kiss you’d ever had was from a  dementor, not your true love.
It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. He had said that to Sirius once.
What a fool he had been.
I knew you, leaving like a father, running like water, when you are young they assume you know nothing.
“It is believed this was a plan Mr Black had been staging for quite some time now.” A newspaper read. Remus snorted and threw it in the fire. Sirius couldn’t even plan a week in advance. What they fuck did these people know.
But then, what did Remus know? His love was long lost, Rapunzel in a tower. Remus was no knight.
But he knew in his heart, none of this was true. He knew. He didn't care what anyone else said, they may have known his thoughts, but Remus knew his heart.
But I knew you’d linger like a tattoo kiss.
Sirius’ leather jacket still hung in the cupboard under the stairs. His hair potion, still in the shower. Remus couldn’t bear to see them. He could never throw them away.
I knew you’d haunt all of my what if’s.
Remus should have fought harder for Harry.
He should have, he should have, he should have, he should have.
He should have known better.
What if.
A smirking smile and stormy eyes. Hair held up with a wand. Those same dark strands coiled around Remus’ fingers.
The smell of smoke would hang around this long. Cause I knew everything when I was young.
Remus woke up to James’ scream. Except it couldn’t be James. Unless… Had this all been a dream?
James opened his eyes and suddenly there was Lily. Lily and James and they didn’t know who Remus was.
(Remus had been the first one to hold baby Harry. Before even Sirius. And now he didn’t even know him)
I knew I’d curse you for the longest time.
Remus hated Sirius. Not for being the notorious mass murderer Sirius Black. But for leaving him alone.
Why is it possible to love someone who hates you? Remus wanted to laugh. His question to Sirius now would be this; Why couldn’t he stop loving someone he should hate.
Chasing shadows in the grocery line.
The students all murmured about the Grimm. The paintings gossiped about little else. Even the staff room had a few words on the subject matter. Remus tried not to let his heart flutter.
(But his boy was free. And there was a grim on the loose).
I knew you’d miss me once the thrill expired.
Walking down to Hagrid's hut, Remus thought he saw something rustle in the bushes. He stepped off the path and looked closer, barely even breathing as his heart thundered, but the shadows that had lurked were gone.
And you’d be standing in my front porch light.
“Lie low at Lupins.”
For the first time in twelve years, amber met grey.
“Re,” Sirius croaked, and Remus shattered. He pulled Sirius inside the door quickly, shutting it and reinforcing all of the charms around his little cottage, drawing all the blinds shut and placing a charm around the area so he would know if anyone approached the house before he finally turned, and there he was.
And I knew you’d come back to me.
Not Mass Murderer Sirius Black.
Not even Padfoot.
But Sirius. Remus’ Sirius.
“Re,” Sirius said again, “It’s not true, it’s not true.” He said, repeating the words as he shook his head, eyes filling. “It’s not true, I would never.”
He would never.
Remus shook his head too, pulling Sirius into the tightest hug they ever might have shared.
“I know.” He whispered. “I know.”
You’d come back to me.
Sirius after a few weeks of good food and warmth looked a lot more like the boy Remus had once known, but there was no denying the person with his was now a man. Remus supposed they both were.
You’d come back.
“I love you.” Sirius whispered one night as they were curled under a blanket, Remus reading as Sirius lay on his chest, the position comforting and oh so familiar.
“Do you think you could ever love me again?”
Remus’ heart cracked as he set down his book and curled his fingers gently around Sirius’ jaw, tilting his head so Remus could look into that swirling sea.
“Love you again?” He said, his voice nearly cracking in disbelief. “Pads, how could I love you again when I never stopped?”
And when I felt like I was an old cardigan, under someone’s bed, you put me on and said I was your favourite.
“I can’t believe you still have this.” Sirius whispered, pulling the same cardigan he always stole out of the back of Remus’ drawer.
“It used to smell like you.” Remus admitted. “But I wore it too much, I missed you too much.”
Sirius smiled, shrugging it on, it curling around his shoulders the way he curled into Remus, tilting his head up and pressing his lips against Remus’.
“I can fix that.” He whispered and Remus held him close, taking his time.
(For what else was the moon to do but love the stars?)

Absolutely, unconditionally (Wolfstar)
I’m back with more from the enchanted series! Parts one and two are linked below but they can all be read individually!
I really love this one, it has a special place in my heart I think
In the dark of the night
The best laid plans
Summary: Remus reflects on the different ways Sirius says ‘I love you’.
Sirius didn’t say ‘I love you’ out loud very often. Other people might have had their concerns. They might have felt insecure, knowing they said ‘I love you’ so much more than their boyfriend did. But Remus knew Sirius. Maybe he didn’t say it out loud, but Remus never had a doubt in his mind that he was loved.
Three taps meant ‘I love you’. Remus had noticed it first in the common room the day after he and Sirius had started going out.
Holding hands made studying a little difficult, but Remus wouldn’t have traded it for the world. He and Sirius were studying (or well; Remus was studying and Sirius was playing with Remus’ hand).Remus had just sighed and begun to read his notes aloud in the hopes that something would stick in his boyfriend’s head. Padfoot had looked up in surprise, something tender showing in his eyes before Remus’s hand was squeezed three times. One, two, three. I love you.
Remus had just squeezed back and continued reading.
Transformations were hard. They always had been, they always would be but Remus wasn’t as nervous about them when he had Sirius. He would find mysterious mugs of hot cocoa by his bed on the nights leading up to a full moon, and the ones that followed. Sirius knew Remus didn’t like to make a fuss about it but even Remus couldn’t deny the little gestures warmed him to his core.
“Hey Pads?" He would call from his bed where he’d be curled up, cocoa in hand.
“Hmm?” He would hear, Sirius tended to get very invested in the muggle motorbike magazines.
“C’mere.”
Sirius would be at his side in an instant, all things mechanical forgotten, wordlessly sliding onto the bed next to Remus who would momentarily set down his mug to take his boyfriend in his arms.
“I love you.” He would breathe into Sirius’ skin, right below his ear making Sirius’ breath hitch. They would sit like that, Sirius between Remus’ legs, his back a warm weight against Remus’ chest, their hands entangled. Remus would wandlessly summon the magazine and sip his deliciously warm drink as Sirius would point out the bike he was going to get someday, when they had finished school, when he no longer lived in the Black family house.
The process of transforming from wolf back into a human was always when Remus would feel the least like himself. He would have to fight for control, for logic, resisting the animalistic urges that haunted him. Sirius never failed to hold him during these times, not once. He’d wrap Remus in a blanket and hold him tight, letting Remus listen to his heartbeat, feel the rhythm of his breath until the young werewolf was returned to him again. Sometimes Sirius would talk directly to him, murmuring calming words in Remus’ ear. Other times he would talk to Peter and James, all of them chatting away allowing Remus to join in at his own pace. Remus could always count on Sirius’ hand rubbing soothing circles on his back as they lay on that rickety bed in the Shrieking Shack, while his other hand rested on Remus’ hip tapping once, twice, three times before pausing and beginning again. I love you.
In class, they wold be working away in silence and Sirius would tap his thigh three times. When Remus would explain something particularly difficult, Remus was used to having his shoulder patted three times. Remus’ favourite was when he would make some snarky or sarcastic comment – for some reason people never seemed to expect that sort of thing from him and Sirius’ eyes would light up, mischievous and gleaming and he would tap his pen three times on the desk before joining the banter himself.
And of course, there were the stolen moments they shared when they would lie in bed, legs tangled and fingers intertwined. In these moments, the threat of the looming war didn’t hang over their heads, Remus wasn’t a person who shed his skin every month and Sirius wasn’t a boy who had to run away from home. They were just them; Sirius and Remus, Padfoot and Moony. Remus could gaze into Sirius’ unflinching grey eyes and when Remus would whisper “I love you.” Sirius would let out a happy sigh and whisper it back, blinking three times even as the words left his lips making Remus smile at his little habit.
There really was no doubt about it, Remus was loved absolutely and unconditionally. Anyone who thought otherwise simply wasn’t paying attention.

The Best Laid Plans (Wolfstar)
Okay so! This is the second fic in a series, but they can be read individually too! I’ll link the first below, but you can go ahead and read this as a stand alone if you feel like it!
This one is just pure fluff. So much fluff, cuddles and fluff wow
In the dark of the night
The door to the common room flung open, Remus didn’t look up from where he was reading a book on one of the couches in front of the fire but he knew who had just entered the room. No one made an entrance like Sirius Black. Remus also knew James followed close behind Sirius; they had been out calculating the exact weight of the tables in the Great Hall. The next prank they were planning was going to be epic. Remus wasn’t one to spoil the fun but let’s just say levitating tables would provide for an interesting breakfast the next morning.
Sirius wordlessly flopped down on the couch next to Remus, kicking off his shoes and laying his head on Remus’ chest. Remus just lifted his book a little higher, adjusting his grip so he could hold the leather-bound pages with one hand. His other hand now slipped into Sirius’ dark hair, the silky locks coiling around Remus’ long fingers.
Remus looked over at James with an amused smile. “Long night?”
They were the only ones in the common room – it was well past midnight. Remus would have gone with them but the days where all four of the marauders could fit under James’ invisibility had long since passed. Instead they took turns going on their covert scouting missions. Remus and Peter were both supposed to be awaiting news but Peter was nowhere to be found tonight. He had been disappearing a lot lately. The three remaining boys were placing bets on a secret love.
“Yeah, we had a close call. Just as Sirius began to levitate all the tables at once, Filch walked into the room.”
Remus’ eyes widened, “Shit, what did you do?”
“Luckily we were still under the cloak or we’d be in McGonagall’s office right now. Sirius had only levitated them an inch off the ground when Filch came in, so he didn’t notice anything but we couldn’t set them back down either. We just had to wait until he left.”
“And he wouldn’t leave.” Sirius mumbled from Remus’ chest, his eyes fluttering closed. “He started dancing.”
Remus bit back a laugh that surely would have woken up some of the other Gryffindor inhabitants. “He did what?”
James looked at him gravely. “You heard right. He danced. With Mrs Norris. He picked her up and spun around as if he were practicing for the Yule Ball.”
Remus pursed his lips, containing his chuckles. “For how long?”
Sirius tightened his grip on Remus’ torso. “Too goddamn long.” He growled.
“About forty five maybe fifty minutes.”
Remus looked at Sirius wide eyed. “You had to hold the charm that long Pads?”
Sirius only nodded. James rolled his eyes fondly before stretching and yawning. “Right, I’m off to bed, we’ve a big morning tomorrow, don’t we boys.”
Remus and Sirius hummed their agreement and acknowledgement of James’ departure, Remus mouthing to the Potter boy that they would be up to bed in a minute. James left the room grinning. Sirius was already asleep.
Remus looked down at his sleeping boyfriend his heart swelling with joy. It was so rare that Sirius actually allowed his body to succumb to such ‘mortal inconveniences’ such as sleep. He ran his fingers through the other boy’s raven black hair, delighting in the soothing weight of his boyfriend’s head on his chest.
“Love you Pads.” He whispered, the words rolling comfortably off his tongue. It had taken a long time for either of them to ever actually say the words. Even since then, the words weren’t spoken aloud too often but Remus knew. He knew Sirius knew.
Sirius’ eyes fluttered open. “Love you too Moony.” He mumbled, his voice thickened with sleep. “More than you’ll ever know.”
Remus just kept running his fingers though his boyfriend’s hair, placing a soft kiss on his pale forehead. “I know.” He whispered, and he meant it.
Asleep on the couch was where the rest of the Gryffindor house found the two sixth years the next morning, a book lying open on the floor beside them, Sirius’ arms looped possessively around Remus’s waist, one of Remus’ hands tangled in Sirius’ hair, the other resting on his lower back.
James woke them gently and laughed at them jokingly as he sent them to get changed, and fast – they had plans to get to, unaware that he was being observed under the approving eyes of one Lily Evans.
That morning at breakfast every table in the Great Hall rocketed up to the ceiling eliciting shocked gasps and even a few screams from everyone, including the marauders, who were by now, better actors than Audrey Hepburn herself. Under the table Remus and Sirius held hands, Peter who had once again returned to their side looked up at the ceiling in awe and as James Potter looked up at his masterpiece, a pair of green eyes looked on at him.
Remus followed his redheaded friends gaze and smiled, but said nothing. He laughed at a comment Sirius made and kissed their interlocked fingers. The tables lowered themselves gently to the floor and the boys beamed, revelling in their success. It had seemed they had gotten away with it.
That was, until Minerva McGonagall stood up.
“Black!” She called and Sirius got up resignedly. “Coming Minnie dear.” He responded and the entire hall burst into laughter. Sirius was led away by an already muttering McGonagall but not before he turned around and shot Remus a wink.
So much for all their planning.

In the Dark of the Night (Wolfstar)
The continuation of me bringing some fics over from my ao3! This is the first in a series, I’ll link them as I add them, but they can nearly all be read individually too!
Remus was avoiding Sirius. Sirius knew that much. What he didn’t know; was why.
At first James had told Sirius he was imagining it, but now even James couldn’t seem to explain away Remus’ avoidance of one Sirius Black. Sirius just wished the other boy would talk to him, tell him what was going on, if Sirius had done something, what Sirius could do to fix it. He needed his Moony back.
Not that Moony was Sirius’, wish as he might. Sirius had known he was bent for a long time. All his friends knew, anyone in the school who cared to ask knew – it wasn’t a secret, Sirius wasn’t ashamed. Sirius had wondered briefly of maybe… that was why Remus had suddenly become so distant, but Sirius abandoned the thought as soon as it occurred to him. Remus wouldn’t do that.
So what was really causing this?
Sirius sat down next to Remus in potions, just like always. “Hey Moony.” He greeted softly and he thought he saw the other boy’s shoulders stiffen.
“Hi Sirius.” The pair were left in an awkward silence until Slughorn entered the room, breathlessly detailing the mindlessly boring intricacies of whatever potion they would be brewing. Sirius kept glancing at Remus as he busied himself chopping and weighing while Sirius was left to stir the cauldron. Sirius tried to keep his mind busy, counting the amount of times he swirled the solution clockwise but sadly the task simply wasn’t up to keeping his thoughts from drifting.
Remus looked tired. Sirius hadn’t noticed simply because Remus wasn’t around enough for him to notice but here, even in the strange light of the dungeons, Remus’ exhaustion was evident. The smudges under his eyes were violet and stark against his pale skin, His tawny hair fell limp into his eyes and Sirius quickly did the calculations in his mind to double check if a full-moon was approaching but there wasn’t one due for another two weeks. Sirius’ heart broke for his friend, for whatever ailed him that made him feel like he couldn’t confide in Sirius.
Remus added the three sprigs of lavender and finally the eye of newt, a lilac steam rising from the cauldron reaching for the next ingredient before realising there was nothing left to add. Sirius inwardly smirked – Remus had thought he could keep himself busy by doing all the prep work but now he was left with nothing to do but stand and watch Sirius.
Sirius indulged him the silence until he couldn’t bear it any more. “What is it Re?” He asked his voice barely above the whisper. “Why are you avoiding me?”
Remus didn’t meet his gaze. “I’m not avoiding you.”
Sirius scoffed but covered it with a cough as Slughorn walked by. He waited for the professor to inspect their potion and move on before replying.
“Don’t lie to me Sirius. You may have everyone else fooled but not me, never me.”
Sirius didn’t know if Remus’ voice was actually rough or if it was just his imagination. “I’m just busy Sirius. We have our NEWTS this year, I need to study, if you ever did any actual work you’d understand that.”
Sirius stopped his questioning after that, trying not to feel stung. Trying being the operative word. They waited for the class to end and when it finally did, Remus was out the door before Sirius could even sweep up his books into his bag.
Sirius missed his friend. Missed their talks. Missed lying under the big hawthorn tree by the lake on the rare occasion the sun shone, their hands almost touching, but not quite. Sirius missed the sly look the two of them would always share when they had successfully pulled off a prank, missed the knowing looks they threw each other when James would trail off mid-sentence anytime Lily Evans walked by. He felt indescribably lonely despite being surrounded by people.
The loneliness led to other emotions, mainly anger. Hogwarts was Sirius’ safe place, his home. He had thought no matter what he would always have his friends – James, Peter and… Remus.
The more Sirius thought about it, the angrier he got. It began with a spark in potions. At lunch it was still a little ember glowing in his chest. By dinner time it was really beginning to burn and finally as the sun sank and the crescent moon rose, Sirius had had enough.
Remus wasn’t in the dorms. Of course he wasn’t, he never was anymore. Sirius didn’t know where he was, but he knew something that did. It didn’t take long to find Remus’ name over his set of footprints in the kitchens. Even though his anger, Sirius had to smile at that, but he shook it off, instead grabbing the James’ cloak and ducking through the portrait hole.
The painting hiding the kitchen swung open silently, allowing Sirius to creep in unnoticed. He glanced around for any house elves but found only a single candle burning at the furthest corner of the room. Seated at the little table was Remus, his limbs comically long on the little stool as he nursed a cup of tea, bent over a textbook.
Seeing Remus, Sirius was once again fuelled with the unbridled anger that had driven him here in the first place.
“What the fuck Remus?” He cried as he dropped the cloak, half scaring the other boy to death.
“Sirius, what – what are you doing here?”
“What am I doing here?” Sirius hands flew around his face as he talked. “What are you doing here Re? You should be in bed, you’re obviously exhausted but you’re down here avoiding me for whatever reason.”
“I told you already,” Remus stood up, his hand braced on the counter next to him. “I’m not avoiding you.”
“Bullshit!” Sirius cried, taking a step forward. “That’s a lie and you know it. I never thought you’d lie to me Re, not you.”
Remus’ face was pained. “Sirius-“He began cautiously before Sirius cut him off.
“What did I do Moony? What did I do that’s so bad you can’t even talk to me, talk to James?”
Remus ran his fingers through his hair. Sirius wished he didn’t notice how long his fingers were.
“Sirius just… just leave it okay?”
“Why?” Sirius stepped even closer so they were face to face. “Give me a reason Remus. Give me a real reason to leave you alone and if after that, if that’s what, then that’s what I’ll do.”
Remus clenched his jaw. “Why do you care so much Sirius?” He spat back.
“Because I’m fucking in love with you.” Sirius whisper yelled before his heart stopped in his chest, revealing the biggest secret his heart had harboured.
Remus’ eyes were as wide as saucers. Sirius kept waiting for him to move away, to step backwards, to shake his head. Instead, He grabbed Sirius’ face, thumbs hooked under his jaw, those gorgeously long fingers reaching up to brush his cheekbones.
“Sirius.” Remus muttered, like it was the beginning and the end of everything. And then he kissed him.
Not even in his wildest daydreams had Sirius imagined kissing Remus would be like this. His lips were sweet, sugared from his tea. It was fire and passion and anger and love and all the emotions that had been building for weeks. Sirius couldn’t get enough. He grabbed Remus by the belt loops of his jeans and pulled him closer, Remus groaning and threading his fingers in Sirius’ hair. Remus’ lips were chapped but still so soft against Sirius’ own. Sirius licked the seam of Remus’ lips and Remus parted for him without hesitation. Nothing in the world mattered to Sirius right now, nothing but the feel of Remus’ lips on his.
They pulled apart for a moment, gasping for breath. Remus rested his forehead against Sirius’. “I’m in love with you too.”
“Fuck Moony.” Sirius mumbled and Remus beamed.
When Remus kissed him again, it was softer, promising of a thousand more kissed just like this to follow. Sirius pulled away ever so slightly, enough so that he could see into Remus’ hazel eyes but still close enough that they breathed the same air. Remus was bent over ever so slightly to reach Sirius’ height and even then Sirius had to tilt his head up to look into the other boy’s eyes. Fuck that was hot.
Sirius’ face was beginning to hurt from all his smiling but if that was the price he had to pay for this much joy then so be it.
“I love you.” He whispered. “I love you, I love you, I love you.” He repeated, peppering Remus with kisses, unable to hold back now that the dam had been broken.
“Now come on.” He said stepping away and holding out his hand to Remus, who took it, interlocking their fingers together. “Let’s get you to bed.”
“I see how it is, with me for only five minutes and already you’re trying to get me into bed.” Remus teased making Sirius blush and stutter.
“No that’s not! I didn’t, no I mean…” He cut himself off when he saw Remus laughing at him. “Sadist.” Sirius shot at him before squeezing his hand. Remus swooped in and pecked him on the cheek. “I love you too.”

Back again with more wolfstar!! I’m on mobile right now so I can’t link the other works in the series right now, but all the links are in my master list, both in my bio and pinned at the top of my page✨
Summary: Sirius has a severe lack of hair ties and has to come up with a few creative alternatives.
“Hey Sirius, do you have a hair tie I could borrow?” Lily asked, holding the end of her plait in place in an attempt to tame her fiery curls.
“Yeah sure.” Sirius said, already pulling one off his wrist and handing it to her before leaning back into Remus’ arms. “Has anyone done the potions essay yet?” He asked.
Remus raised an eyebrow. “You mean the essay that was due yesterday?”
“You hardly expect me to turn it in on time, come on Moons, it’s like you don’t even know me.”
“Well Pads, you’ve got to be losing your mind if you think there’s any chance Remus wouldn’t have handed his up by now.” James chimed in and Peter nodded his agreement.
Sirius sighed dramatically as he reached for his quill on the low lying coffee table in the common room. “Fine, I suppose I’d better get started.” He grumbled, his hair falling in front of his face with the movement. “Wait, remind me, what was it supposed to be about?”
“The long-term effects of extensive use of Gillyweed.” Remus replied, eyes lingering on the black hair that was framing his boyfriends face.
“Right.” Sirius scribbled the title on a piece of parchment, tucking a stray piece of hair behind his ear. “And those long term effects are…?” He trailed off, waiting for someone to fill in the blank.
Peter rolled his eyes. “Inability to get rid of the gills and hence having to live underwater permanently.”
The rogue piece of hair fell into Sirius’ face again and Remus could see the twinge of annoyance before Padfoot ran his fingers along his own wrist in search of a hair tie only to discover that he had given his last one to Lily. Remus watched, expecting Sirius to just ask Lily for it back but instead the animagus just shrugged, pulled his wand out of his pocket and twisted his hair up with it in a movement so quick and practiced that Remus’ eyes couldn’t quite follow but now Sirius’ dark locks were held in place by his wand. Remus’ throat didn’t tighten because that wasn’t hot. No not at all. Sirius began tracing the feathered end of his quill over his lips as he concentrated and Remus actually had to make himself look away and start up a conversation with Peter because if he didn’t he might push Sirius up against the wall right then and there.
The following week at lunch Sirius found himself in the same hair tie-less predicament. Used to it by now, he just swept his hair up with his wand in that series of motions that endlessly fascinated one Remus Lupin. They ate lunch quickly so they could run upstairs to the common room to retrieve their next set of books before heading to class. Still they arrived at charms with only a minute to spare before the professor arrived. Sirius’ hair was becoming slightly loose; a few strands were beginning to frame his face as he chatted with Marlene McKinnon while Flitwick wrote the instructions on the board. Remus took them down with careful precision, fully aware that the rest of the marauders would badger him for them later. Finally, Flitwick let them off to actually attempt the charm (how to silence a screeching siren – let’s just say Remus was not happy to have excellent hearing in that moment) and the classroom was filled with a determined hum of activity. Sirius winced alongside Remus at the clamour filling the room as he reached up to his hair and grabbed his wand, his silky locks tumbling down around his shoulders as Remus was left to watch helplessly.
“Come on Moons, let’s get to it, I need to not be hearing these little shits.”
Remus rolled his eyes at his boyfriend even though he was in perfect agreement. He grabbed his wand from the table – the perfectly normal place in which to keep one’s wand during a lesson - and quickly went through the series of movements in a rapid succession, beaming when he managed to silence his siren on the first try.
“Excellent Remus!” Flitwick praised and Sirius tapped the back of his hand three times lightly. I love you. Remus grinned and turned to help his idiot so he could once again enjoy a hushed classroom.
Sirius had now decided to forgo hair ties entirely, Remus noted over the next few days. As a substitute, he would use a wand to try control his hair. Not just his own wand, no Remus discovered he’ll use just about anyone’s wand when he’s desperate. Last night Remus was helping a couple of first years with their transfiguration homework when he made to demonstrate and found himself wandless.
“Keep looking over the instructions and practicing on your own for two minutes.” He told them as he stood up. “I’ll be right back.”
They had nodded solemnly; they were still new enough to Hogwarts that they were nervous around upperclassmen despite working with Remus twice a week. Remus tore up the stairs to his dorm room, the rest of his roommates looking at him in confusion.
“Aren’t you supposed to be tutoring your band of followers right now?” James asked and Remus shook his head as he searched his dresser.
“They’re not my band of followers. But yes, I am, the keywords being ‘supposed to’ because I can’t find my wand anywhere.”
“Are you sure it’s not in your bag?” Peter asked, beginning to stand up and help Remus look.
“No, I‘ve checked that three times. None of you have seen it, have you?”
Sirius shook his head and helped join the search. He bent down to look under the bed and Remus caught a flash of a familiar cypress wand.
“Sirius?” He asked. “What’s in your hair?”
Sirius’ brow buried in confusion but he pulled the wand from his hair, his puzzlement only growing when he realised it was Remus’
"Seriously?" Remus asked, a little indignant.
“Sorry Moony,” He said handing it over. “I really didn’t know I had it.”
“S'alright Pads," He relented, pecking his boyfriend on the lips quickly. "But I’ve got to go the first years are waiting.” Remus replied, already making his way to the door.
“Wait a minute.” He heard Sirius say to the other marauders. “Then where’s my wand?”
“Not my problem!” Remus called cheekily as he dashed down the stairs and quickly regained his composure before sitting down with the first years again.
“Alicia, Jack that’s a really good attempt, you just need to relax your wrist a bit more.” He said and finally managed to perform his demonstration.
“Now you give it another go.” He encouraged and flipped off Sirius playfully when he flopped down on the armchair near the fire, brandishing his newly reclaimed wand. What a dork.
Remus had a thing for Sirius’ hair.
It wasn’t like he hadn’t already known that but he hadn’t quite understood the extent of his fascination. He had to force himself to look away any time Sirius would pull his wand from his head, unleashing the neat knot because if Sirius noticed how much it affected Remus, he would be fucked. As it was, Sirius was sitting next to him on Remus’ bed as Remus wrote home to his mother and Sirius was reading Remus’ history of magic notes. Sirius was biting his lip in concentration and Remus just couldn’t help himself anymore.
He set down his quill and stretched out his hand, first lightly running his hand over the curled ends before twirling strands around his finger. Sirius leaned back into the motion and Remus bit back a grin – maybe Sirius was more like his animagus form than he knew. He massaged Sirius’ scalp lightly before running his fingers through the dark mess, tugging slightly, prompting a little groan from Sirius.
Remus smirked and kissed below Sirius’ ear lightly as his hands continued their ministrations, laughing when Sirius turned quickly so he could face Remus, straddling the taller boy’s waist.
“Are you a little worked up Pads?” Remus teased in between kisses and Sirius just turned the attention of his lips to Remus’ jaw.
“You have no idea what that does to me Moons.” He growled and Remus gasped when his earlobe was sucked into a warm mouth before chuckling slightly.
“I think I do.” He breathed, cupping the hard length that had begun to press into his thigh and Sirius pressed into the movement, moaning slightly.
“Enough talking.” He gasped, forceful kissing Remus once more.
“Works for me.” Remus agreed and buried his fingers in Sirius’ hair again.
Yeah, Remus really loved Sirius’ hair.

Who would have guessed
Summary:  Nail varnish, trickery, leather jackets and bell bottom jeans. Just a regular Tuesday in the Gryffindor common room.
Oh my god Lily, you have to see this!” Sirius cried almost toppling out of his chair in his attempt to cross the common room to Lily. James, Remus and Peter all raised their eyebrows and exchanged confused looks, none of them having any idea what could have brought about such an outburst.
It was just a normal Tuesday evening in the Gryffindor Tower; first years were panicking over due assignments, the fire was crackling and the Marauders were plotting. They had decided their next trick would be to transfigure all of Dumbledore’s robes into the latest muggle fashions, so naturally Sirius had been flicking through one of Marlene’s magazines for inspiration. That had been before the outburst. Now the three other boys were left just with a piece of parchment containing several question marks and the words ‘flared jeans’ and ‘tie dye’
“Woah Sirius, slow down, you’ll run someone over.” Lily teased as the Black boy skidded to a stop in front of her.
“No time for that!” He cried as he frantically pointed to a picture in the magazine. “Have you seen this?”
Lily’s brows furrowed. “This? You mean the nail varnish?”
Sirius nodded his head as Lily laughed. “You’ve never seen nail varnish before?”
A couple of muggleborns near them giggled and Sirius raised his hands in a defensive stance.
“Hey it’s not my fault that pureblood families don’t go anywhere near muggle products.”
Lily bit her lip but she was still smiling. “Of course Sirius, you’re right, I’m sorry. I don’t have any here with me but I can owl my mother for some if you’d like?”
Sirius’ eyes widened. “You’d do that?”
Remus’ heart clenched a little. Sirius was still surprised when people did things for him with absolutely no ulterior motive.
Lily was already pulling out some ink and parchment. “Yeah of course. What colour would you like?”
Sirius’ face really was comical at this point. “There are different colours?”
Lily chuckled as she nodded her head. “Yeah, hmm let me see… how about I surprise you?”
Sirius leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. “Lily Evans I could marry you.” He proclaimed grandly.
James leaned over to Remus. “Mate, do you think we should be worried that your man just proposed to my girlfriend?”
Remus looked at where Sirius was now enveloping Lily in a hug. “Yeah.” He teased. “We should definitely be worried.”
Remus’ studies were interrupted by his very excited boyfriend.
“Remus! Look at my nails!”
A pair of black painted nails were shoved right in his face and Remus actually had to catch Sirius’ wrist to move the hand in question slightly further away from his face so that he could actually see it.
“They’re really cool Pads.” He said grinning at the contagious excitement radiating off the boy in front of him.
“Lily says black is totally punk. They’ll go with my leather jacket, won’t they?”
Remus glances back down at his half finished essay and picked up his quill. “Yeah totally Pads.” He said, already starting to write again. He could hear Sirius moving around him but he had already zoned out – needing to finish this essay so he could get a head start on the rest of his work. Missing a few days every month wasn’t ideal, but Remus was lucky that teachers would let him know what they would be covering when he was out so that he could complete his assignments in advance. They had given him the option of catching up afterwards, but Remus preferred it this way; he already had enough to worry about without an intense workload on top of it.
He knew Sirius didn’t mind and that his boyfriend was happy enjoying his new accessories himself for a little while anyways. He was probably showing off to the entire common room. Scratch that – Remus knew his boyfriend – he was probably showing off to the entire school.
“Hey Moony.”
Remus glanced up from his essay to see Sirius standing in his leather jacket, clad in jeans so tight it was surely illegal, his hair half up, half down (in the way that Sirius knew drove Remus absolutely wild) and last but not least, the famous nails.
Remus’ mouth dried up.
“Wow Pads… you look… you look wow.”
Sirius smirked and strutted to Remus’ side. “I look hot.”
Remus huffed a laugh. “That’s an understatement.”
Sirius slid onto Remus’ lap and held his hands out so the pair could admire them as Sirius wiggled his fingers. “Nice, huh?”
Remus caught his hands and lifted them to his lips so he could press a gentle kiss there. “Very nice.” He agreed. He kissed his wrist, the crook of his elbow in that goddamn jacket, the soft skin where shoulder meets neck and finally, Remus kissed along Sirius’s jawline; he also knew what drove his boyfriend crazy – two could play at that game.
Sirius sighed and tilted his head so Remus would have better access but Remus pulled away and kissed his boyfriend on the lips just once before pushing him gently off his lap.
“I love you.” He said, highly amused at the indignant look of Sirius Black sitting on the floor. “But I need to finish my essay.”
Sirius rose. “Fine.” He announces as he flounced from the room, but he stuck out his tongue at Remus playfully as he left the room causing Remus to roll his eyes laughing. What a dork.
(His dork though).
“Okay boys, the day has come.” James said slinging his arms around Peter and Remus as the Marauders all walked into the Great Hall together for dinner. “We’ve planned for this, are we all ready?”
“You bet your ass we’re ready.” Sirius chirped, sliding into his seat, the rest of them following suit.
“Let’s just review one more time.” Peter said, always the worrier. “So I’ll transfigure his hat, James and Sirius, you’ve got the robes – James you’re doing the top half and Sirius is taking the bottom, right?”
“Right.” They both confirmed.
“And Remus you’re doing the shoes.”
“Yup.” Remus said popping the ‘p’ as he poured them all a glass of pumpkin juice. “Remember;” He warned them, “We all have to do it at the same time, so what’s the signal?”
“When he stands to speak at the end.” The others said in sync, words slightly muffled by the food they were now shoving into their mouths. Remus grinned. “We’re ready.”
The boys ate their dinner, relatively quietly as they all loaded their plates and exchanged secret, excited glances. This wasn’t one of their hardest pranks, not by a long shot but it was definitely one of their most daring.
“And now,” The headmaster said as he pushed back his chair and the hall fell into a silence. “For a few words.”
As one, the four boys cast the charm, wands swishing under the table, all aimed at Albus Dumbledore.
His tall wizards hat folded in on itself until it was a simple headband over his long loose hair. An oversized denim jacket now adorned his arms and, by Merlin, even Remus was stunned by the crop top James had given him – eliciting many a gasp and giggle from the students. Where his long robes had been, now there were a pair of embroidered bell bottom jeans and the entire ensemble were topped off with a pair of sandals Remus was quite impressed with.
The entire hall fell into utter silence as Ms McGonagall stood up in outrage but Dumbledore simply looked down at his new outfit demurely.
“It’s always good to keep up with the latest trends.” He said without missing a beat, throwing a wink at the Marauders and sending the great hall into utter chaos. The four boys burst into laughter with them, filled with a mischievous delight as rumours already were sparking.
“Did you see his tattoo?” Remus heard one Ravenclaw ask and he actually nearly choked on his pumpkin juice.
McGonagall however was not quite as amused as her colleague. She appeared at the Gryffindor table in moments, looming over the Marauders.
“Hello Minnie darling.” Sirius said, donning his ‘innocent’ look.
“Detention, all of you.” She said, her face the picture of disapproval, but Remus was certain that he caught the hint of a smile on her face as she turned away.
The four boys exchanged looks before bursting into laughter once more.
“Totally worth it.”

Stand By Me
Hey guys! I’m back again with more wolfstar! Some hurt/comfort! All of these can be read individually as well as in a series!
In the dark of the night
The best laid plans
Absolutely, unconditionally
What in the name of Merlin
Summary:  Sirius realises sometimes, all you can do is be there.
“I can’t do it anymore Sirius!” Tears streamed down Remus’ face. “It just hurts too much.”
Sirius held his boyfriend as the sobs wracked his body. This was it. This is what dying felt like. Here was the love of his life, in so much pain, in so much agony, and Sirius could do nothing.
“I know baby, I know.”
They were sitting on Sirius’ bed, Sirius leaning against the headboard and Remus in his arms. Sirius clung to him but it wasn’t close enough. If it were possible to do away with one’s problems with pure willpower alone, Sirius would have accomplished it ten times over by now. There was no word in the English language, in any language for that matter that could encompass how much he loved the boy in his arms. His brave, beautiful boy.
Sirius lifted Remus’ face and wiped away his tears, holding his face in his hands.
“Hey, look at me.” Sirius whispered. Remus’ eyes remained closed. “Moons, look at me.” Remus finally lifted his eyes and hazel met grey.
“You are the strongest person I know.” Remus tried to shake his head but Sirius held firm. “You are Remus. Fuck you’ve been through so much and still you have so much light in you.”
Sirius hated the fact that the only light he could see in Remus’ eyes right now was the glint of unshed tears.
“You go through more shit every month than some people do in their life time but you’re the kindest person I’ve ever met.”
Remus bit his lip.
“Like yesterday,” Sirius said, staring to go off on a tangent, having no idea if he was saying any of the right things but for now, no more tears were escaping Remus’ red eyes. “When Snape shoved you in the corridor and dropped his quill so you picked it up and gave it to him.”
Sirius paused, looking at Remus praying his incredulity was showing. “No one else would ever dream of doing that, but you have to be the kindest soul on the planet Remus Lupin, if anyone says otherwise, they’re wrong.”
Remus just rolled his eyes but Sirius kept going. “You’re so brave my love,” He kissed Remus’ temple. “Not just with the full moon but with everything. The war. There’s death and destruction everywhere but you face it head on, you fight Remus, you fight with so much courage, and so much hope.”
Sirius rested his forehead against Remus’s. “You have so much hope it almost hurts me to think about it. You glow with it Re. The world is going to chaos but you still study for every test because you believe in a world that will exist after this war and you will be prepared for it.”
Sirius kissed his boyfriend softly, so softly. “I know you’re tired my darling, but I also know you’ll get back up and fight some more, because you’re Remus fucking Lupin and that’s what you do. There are few constant things in my life, but you’re one of them. I believe in you so much it scares me, but nothing could ever change that. Even when I’m dead and my body is nothing but ash and dust I’ll know. You’ll know that you’re the best person I’ve ever had the honour of meeting.
A tear slipped down Remus’ face. Fuck Sirius had tried so hard but he still messed it up. “Babe?” He asked, wiping the tear away. “I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to upset you.”
Remus let a little sound escape him that could have been a sob or a laugh. “Sirius you are so dumb sometimes.”
Remus straddled Sirius’ waist so he could lean down and stare into the grey eyes he loved so much. “Thank you. You always know just what to say to me.”
Sirius’ eyes widened. “It sure doesn’t feel like it.”
Remus kissed him lightly. “Well it’s true.”
Remus slid off his boyfriends lap so he could lay his head on Sirius’ thighs. “I love you too Pads.”
Sirius heart glowed. Those were his all-time favourite words to hear. Followed by Mrs Potter saying he was just as much her son as James was. But still ‘I love you’ from Remus topped his chart.
His fingers found themselves automatically threaded though Remus’s tawny hair. “It’ll be okay.” He promised leaning down to kiss his forehead, then his cheeks and finally his lips. Sirius knew he couldn’t promise that, but he also knew that Remus knew that too. There was a war brewing after all. Nothing was guaranteed anymore. But as Sirius had learned over the years was that sometimes it’s nice to hear these things, to receive the sentiment even if the actual fact may turn out a little different than intended.
“Thanks Padfoot.”
Sirius bent and hugged him slightly awkwardly but his urge for more contact was shared by Remus who held him fast.
“Of course my love, of course.” Sirius whispered and held Remus close. Sometimes there’s nothing you can do for someone other than be there. So Sirius was there.

Who would have guessed
Hey guys! I’m still on mobile so I can’t add the links properly but I’ll get to it tomorrow!
(And another reminder that these can be read individually or as a series)
Heads up - this one gets pretty smutty
Summary: Yeah it's basically just smut - Sirius tries to learn a new skill.
Sirius gazed into the mirror and tried with all his might to practice some dirty little lines that would hopefully make Remus squirm even half as much as Sirius himself did when the other boy would turn his charm on him.
“Okay right, here goes.” He mumbled to himself, blushing furiously as he remembered the conversation he had had with James about this particular topic.
“Just think about what you want to do and say it.” James had finally sad after laughing his ass off for a solid five minutes. “It’s easy.”
Sirius shook his head and straightened his shoulders. “I want to grab your sword and-” Sirius groaned and cut himself off. Grab his sword? What the actual fuck, Sirius sounded like he was straight out of the steamy romance novels raved about in Witch Weekly. Easy his ass, this was hopeless.
Dinner that night had been amazing but he forgot all about that when dinner appeared on the table.
“Treacle tart!” He exclaimed already loading up his plate. His favourite. The rest of the marauders shovelled the treat onto their plates but none as enthusiastically as Sirius. He took a bite and closed his eyes in pleasure. “Oh my god.”
Within an instant, Remus had leaned over so his lips were right up next to Sirius’ ear and whispered; “I bet I can make you moan louder than any pudding.”
Sirius dropped his spoon.
“Careful Pads, or people will start to listen in. Unless you want everyone to hear how loud I can make you.”
Sirius felt an undeniable heat building in him but when he turned to look at Remus, his boyfriend had returned to eating his tart, the picture of perfect innocence.
“Are you alright Sirius?” Peter asked. “You look a little red.”
Sirius nodded his head a little too quickly. “Yeah Wormtail, I’m okay.”
“He’s probably just excited.” Remus added. That bastard. “You know, about the treacle tart.”
Peter shrugged, accepting the answer and he and James resumed their conversation about their latest prank but Sirius looked at Remus. The little shit lifted his spoon to his mouth, looked Sirius right in the eye as he ate his desert and tantalisingly slowly pulled the spoon from his mouth, his lips reluctant to let the metal go, leaving the silver sparkling clean and the image in Sirius’ mind of what other things he might put in his mouth.
The sun was shining bright the next morning illuminating the grass glittering with dew. The marauders made their way down to the quidditch pitch for an early morning flight before they headed to Hogsmeade. The air was fresh and clear and Sirius couldn’t help but note what a lovely start to their weekend it was.
Sirius had his arm slung around Remus’ shoulders and in a moment of pure bliss he leaned over and kissed his boyfriends cheek. Sometimes he simply couldn’t believe how incredibly lucky he was.
When they strolled onto the pitch, Peter and Remus made their way over to the stands to watch for a while as Sirius and James took flight. Moony was still a little tired after the last moon and didn’t want to go wasting all his energy in just a couple of minutes. Peter not flying was strange but then again, Peter had been acting a little strange recently. Sirius didn’t want to pry, he figured their friend would come to them whenever he was ready to talk. Until then, Sirius figured Remus was probably glad for the company anyway.
He and James took to the skies, ducking and diving and firing balls back and forth at one another. They took turns defending the hoops while the other would try score. Anytime Sirius would look down at the stands, he would find a pair of hazel eyes gazing steadily back at him. After a while, he and James returned to solid ground, cheeks flushed and hair windswept.
Sirius threw himself down next to Remus, expecting to be told to shove off and sweat all over someone else but instead, Remus tangled their fingers together.
“You know,” Remus started, his warm breath caressing the shell of Sirius’ ear and he closed his eyes closed his eyes because fuck, Remus knew what that did to him. “I’m not that interested in flying but I’d gladly ride your broom.”
Sirius swallowed. Took a breath. Then swallowed again.
He opened his eyes and closed his mouth a grand total of four times as he searched for words but found none before Remus kissed him once, quickly on the lips and began filling the boys in on what he and Peter had been discussing. Sirius was dumbfounded How could he go from zero to one hundred just like that? Remus smirked and met Sirius’ gaze just once as if he knew exactly what his boyfriend was thinking. Merlin’s beard, Sirius loved that boy.
Sirius was lying in bed that night, alone in the dorm; everyone else was in the common room but Sirius’ curtains were closed. He was so ridiculously pent up after Remus’ last few days of taunting and teasing but Sirius was also conscious of the fact that his boyfriend was surely still exhausted and needed rest. He didn’t need to have to help Sirius get off. Sirius closed his eyes and remembered the feel of his boyfriend’s lips right next to his ear, the way it felt when his breath brushed his skin.
The door to the dorm room opened, snapping Sirius out of his trance. “Pads?”
Fuck, it was Remus.
Before he could even reply, Remus slipped in through the gap of the curtains ensuring they were closed properly behind him. A wicked grin spread across his face when he saw Sirius, saw the sizeable bulge in his pants.
Moony slid onto the bed next to Sirius and kissed his jaw. “Starting without me?”
Sirius’ breath hitched but he pulled away from Remus for a moment. “It’s okay, you don’t have to, I know you’re tired.”
Moony kissed him once. Then again, this time slipping his tongue into Sirius’ mouth eliciting a groan from the dark hared boy.
“I know I don’t have to.” Remus mumbled. He nipped Sirius’ earlobe lightly, making him gasp. “But I want to.”
Sirius couldn’t argue with that.
This time when Remus kissed him, Sirius didn’t hesitate. He melted into his boyfriends arms, his heart pounding as Remus caught his bottom lip in between his teeth and gave it little tug. Sirius gasped and he could feel Remus’ grin against his skin. He grasped Remus by the waist, tugging him closer realising that there were too many layers of clothes separating them altogether. He frantically tugged at Remus’ shirt and he felt the taller boy laugh against him before pulling away slightly and tugging his shirt off over his head in one swift movement. Sirius quickly followed suit, shedding his cotton top and moving so he could kiss down along his boyfriend’s neck. Remus’ fingers slid into his hair and tangled themselves there, curling Sirius’ dark locks in little twirls.
Sirius smirked when Remus gasped as he took his peaked nipple into his mouth. Maybe dirty talk wasn’t his strong point but that didn’t mean he didn’t know what he was doing. Sirius let his hands roam Remus’ body, savouring the velvet skin interrupted every few inches or so by a raised scar. He traced the harsh lines, first with his fingers then with his lips, worshipping every inch of the boy he got to call his own. He kissed Remus’ torso once, twice, three times. I love you. Remus’ fingers tightened in his hair and he gasped. “I love you too Pads.” Sirius’ heart pounded. It didn’t matter how many times Remus said it, Sirius still couldn’t believe how incredibly lucky he was.
He continued his path down Remus’ body encouraged by the breathy sounds escaping his boyfriend and stopped at the waistband of Remus’ pants, ignoring the hard warmth pressing into him and looking up to meet Remus’ eyes.
“Yes Pads, yes.” Remus groaned and it was all the confirmation Sirius needed. He pulled down the waistband of the sweatpants, Remus lifting his hips helpfully as Sirius mouthed his boyfriends cock through the fabric of his underwear, drawing a moan from Remus. Sirius smirked and slowly pulled down his boxers, letting the fabric slide teasingly over Remus’ sensitive skin. Sirius reached out one hand and wrapped it around his boyfriend, marvelling at the velvet skin under his fingers and merlin, how Remus almost made Sirius’ hand seem small.
Sirius was just lowering his lips so they brushed Moony’s tip when Remus growled and flipped him over, pinning Sirius down underneath him.
“Yes.” Sirius hissed because oh god damn him, but there were few things he loved more than when Remus was like this. Their mouths collided again and this time it was more a struggle for power, a battle of wills, tongue clashing against tongue. Sirius happily submitted, Remus could do whatever the hell he wanted with him and Sirius knew he’d love it.
“You liked that didn’t you?” Remus whispered against Padfoot’s mouth, “Making me moan?”
Sirius whimpered, he actually whimpered.
“Yes.”
Remus had made quick work of Sirius’ pants, removing them so subtly Sirius hadn’t even noticed until Remus leaned down and blew a cold breath over Sirius’ bare skin. He groaned as his achingly hard cock twitched at the not-quite stimulation.
“Please Re.” He begged. Remus’ eyes flashed, a delightfully wicked grin spreading across his face.
“What is it you want Pads?” He asked, his voice the perfect picture of pure innocence. His hands however were the exact opposite, running devastatingly light trails up and down the inside of Sirius’ thighs.
“You.” Sirius panted. “I want you inside me.”
“You wish is my command.” Remus said, that knowing smirk still on his face as he muttered a quick, wandless lubrication charm and Sirius nearly dead at the sudden stimulation to his hole.
Sirius gasped as one finger entered him, swirling slightly before a second one joined it, twisting and stretching. Sirius clenched his sheets in his fist as Remus kissed his balls reverently. “Always so tight for me.” He murmured, his tongue flicking out to tease the delicate skin.
“Please Moony, now.”
A third finger entered him and Sirius felt his back arch slightly.
“Patience Pads, we wouldn’t want you getting too sore now would we?” The three fingers suddenly curled, hitting that one spot Sirius needed and a moan slipped from his lips.
“Now Re, I’m ready, I need you now.”
The first nudge of Remus had Sirius’ eyes rolling to the back of his head. The rest of him… well let’s just say there were some scratches on his boyfriends back that were fresh and in no way caused by anything shape-shifter related. They’re mouths connected again and it was less of a kiss and more of a moaning into each other’s mouths. Remus reached around and wrapped his long fingers around Padfoot’s aching cock and he groaned and moved with his boyfriend, their hips moving in a synchronised harmony and Sirius’ hands reaching for anything to hold on to as he saw red and gold and a thousand other colours in the space of a moment as he spilled, Remus following suit not a moment later.
Remus cast a wandless cleaning spell (Sirius couldn’t help but marvel at how well Moony was mastering wandless charms) and draped a blanket over them as Sirius rested his head on his boyfriend’s chest, their legs entangled and arms thrown around waists.
“I love you.” Remus murmured into his ear and Sirius grinned lazily as his eyes drifted close. He kissed Remus’ chest three times. I love you too.
