I Can't Wait by Sakuragawanaa (Attack on Titan Levi x Mikasa Doujin) English Translation

I'll be the first to admit, Sakuragawa Naa is one of my favourite doujinshikas, her art style and her writing are both admirirable. It's also worth mentioning that she has had the Rivamika fans in a chokehold over the years, being one of the only doujinshikas to routinly put on fanwork based on this this ship. However, I have looked far and wide and none of her work seems to be available in English, which I think is just a shame.

Anyway, for those wanting to read it, I present “I Can’t Wait” by Sakuragawa Naa, translated by me! I can’t post it all here because it’s pretty long and it’s also NSFW. So at the bottom of this post is a link to a google drive copy as well as to the link to e-hentai.org. Just click which one you’d prefer.

My commissions are open! You can request any doujin you like to be translated. There’s also a chance I can translate something for free, just ask. i cant stop thinking abt the official aot highschool au.. usually i am So disinterested in irl and school aus but in this case it is a bit fun because isyama himself came up w it and he made it so stereotypically 2000s american highschool movie themed in a somehow not annoying or bad way

i literally. do not even like those types of movies. but to imagine the very tragic aot cast in such a light hearted setting is fun and interesting

especially because the characters are every so slightly different and ngl i still want isayama to kill himself bc of the ending but he cooked with that AU

Eren in that au is soooo painfully average but has a bit of edge to him. it is Still Small but its There and i so badly want to draw him going through character development and amping up that edge to 999

And. Also. Itll be a ship comic IF i make it but i dont want to bc i don't rlly like drawing ships

it'll be ao cringy though, and not my usual kind of cringe it is actually in the normie twitter/facebook direction which is why im hesitant and kinda ashamed i even want to draw such a normie thing. my elitism has gotten the better of me

I talked b4 abt how eren and historia are kinda not a bad ship!! and in that au they actually had peak interactions and its. like. its fun to imagine the ( not ) average ( not ) lame nobody of the school eren end up with THE queen bee historie in that au. Their dynamic would be a bit cool although SO STEREOTYPICAL. BUT THATS PRECISELY THE POINT

to explain

in that au historia hates being popular and having a dedicated simp circle ( which she does ) but she's also a bit stuck up. just. a bit. but she doesn't enjoy it

and my girl. has been lowkey fixating on eren anyways because he was kinda the lame loser of the school and when he ended up with geniune friends she GOT JEALOUS and

a whole dramatic arc ensues that ends with her crying bc of bullying and chad eren saves her by lying and taking the blame so she blushes n goes kyaaaa eren ?!?!!!? ( written by the man who ruined the story for eren x m*kasa btw. ) and it ENDS THERE

So. That made me think of me continuing the story aa a fanfic ( drawn doujin ) where eren !! eren :3 :) pays a bit more attention to her because it made me sad how he fr moved on while she still has her dedicated fake simp circle

IN CANON. she loses her beloved gf and gets depressed and it is eren who cheers her up and says she doesnt have to act bubbly or cute or a good girl that he likes her better as her true self :) this cheers her up and makes her gain confidence and. then. eren discovers he kinda chomped his dad and gets depressed and it is historia who says fuck his dad useless bastard anyways & it is better to be selfish and move on for one's own sake. and says theyre the enemies of Humanities and despite the many crimes their families did it doesn't matter and theyll be different ( THEN EREN BECOMES 1000X WORSE LMAO LETS GOO 80% GENOCIDE 💯💯 ) this cheers eren up and makes him Stop being suicidal and actually move forward ( based historia i wish she went on with the 100% seflish personality before isayama ruined her )

OK SO MY POINT IN THE HIGHSCHOOL AU. ITD BE FUNNY IF THEY WENT THROUGH A SIMIALR DEVELOPMENT BUT WITHOUT THE STAKES AND DRAMA AND TRAGEDY OF CANON

it is a simple development where eren tells her she doesnt have to be the perfect cute bubbly feminine girl of the school and can just be herself. similar to what he told her in canon. hiatoria goes ?!?!?!??! :"O :") and also >///< and a bit 👉👈 and yknow how it is

Eren also starts noticing her a bit more & hanging out with her and becomes her first real actual friend !! yayayya :3 u could say eren also starts liking her after she shows more of her true personality and stops being stuck up also. yknow. lets go of her super popular fame

but thats just my thoughts. i had the story for a fake dating au ( 💀💀💀💀 I AM ACTUALLY REGRESSING ) bc thats kinda similar to what happened in the canon au !! except yknow as fake dating aus go it stops being fake ( UR KIDDING I WOULDVE NEVER NOTICED ) & they get together 👏👏

Oh man Chainsaw Man episode 6 was SO GOODDDDDDD

I get why everyone likes Aki now. It took a while but between episodes 5 and 6 to say he grew on me would be an understatement. Not a big fan of Kobeni right now but maybe she’ll get her time later? Still can’t help but see her replaced with AoT Sasha.

This just felt like such good writing, like… someone (the author? not sure how closely it follows the manga here) came up with JUST the perfect situation and mix of characters to test all of their limits at the same time. Brilliant. Himeno’s pretty neat too. I like how she and Aki seem so similar right now. I love the implication that he’s like that because of her. I love that he needs Denji because he can’t do it alone. Her quote about the ones the devils are really afraid of are the hunters who have a screw loose really snapped everything into place- that seems to be a theme of Chainsaw Man and it works PERFECTLY. I feel like I can’t help but compare it to Jujutsu Kaisen and I love Yuuji and Nobara and Nanami, but… maybe it’s because all the devil hunters so far seem to be more or less the same age, and everyone definitely has a screw loose. I feel like writing about JJK takes away from how impressed I am with this episode, but there it is. Anyway, it just kinda reminded me of one of those locked-in-a-room doujin that force the characters to confront things, with a really really smooth flow to it. Even the flashbacks felt like they fit in really naturally. I feel like I’m definitely going to want to watch this again or read it 😊

Hi Sailor!! Thank you so much for asking! 💖 I love this question, I've genuinely been thinking about it all day. I'm a big multishipper so this is exciting to think about. These were the ships that popped into my head:

Levi x Nifa - We barely see these two interact but I read like ONE doujin and I couldn't stop thinking about how cute they look together. And then the more I thought about the interactions between them we do get the more I loved the thought of them. I see it as quite a casual relationship that would turn intense and loving slowly over time as Levi opens up to her, but honestly I mostly just find them really aesthetically pleasing together.

Oluo x Petra - I LOVE THEM 😭 My headcanon is Oluo pining and Petra is so focused on her admiration (or even love depending on how much pain I want to feel) for Levi until she finally realises that Oluo has been there for her all along, in his own way. His comments about her acting like his nagging wife were just him being hopeful all along. I think they're such a cute pairing

Hange x Moblit - Probably the most popular of the ones I've listed but I think arguably the most overlooked as a result, since Hange often gets shipped in other pairings. There's just so much potential for overworked subordinate who falls in love despite not wanting to

I have the overwhelming desire to write about these now and try and drag y'all into loving these ships as much as me. I genuinely think about these ships on a regular basis but I never see any fanwork for them (which might just be a sign I need to expand my network more tbh, I am still relatively new to the fandom after all). Oh and I can't forget the most important one

Levi x Dream - My selfship is extremely overlooked 😤 Gonna have to start screaming about it from the rooftops. I promise we're very cute together

it’s so funny u mention that because - and i know the probable crossover of an aot fan and ks fan must be small bc the ks fandom is kinda tiny these days, so this is never talked about - yoon bum is infamous for showing up in levi search results and vice versa. on pinterest, google, etc

idk if you’ve read killing stalking but. he’s actually so levi shaped ITS KINDA LIKE READING A LEVI DOUJIN except… you never want to catch levi in ks’s kind of situation. and also yoon bum is. a special character to be sure

I’ll admit I’m fairly recent to the fandom. I got into aot just at the start of last year. There’s a lot of really great fan content out there. I think aot has some of the best writers and artists of all recent manga fandoms. What I find … unusual is that there is no “lost lore”, like, old and somewhat obscure works that have gathered certain fame but are no longer available on the internet and therefore achieved this “lore” status. Many manga fandoms have like these old doujins, comics or fanfic that were super popular at the time, but have since been lost, deleted, whatever, but still retain this legendary status. People keep trying to uncover them and it’s great fun. Idk, aot has at least one very legendary doujin you’ve probably heard of, but other than that I don’t think there are many notorious lost works

Yes!! I know of that doujinshi!! It’s god tier I have it saved ahaha! I’m not a super big fan of NOY but like the author used to have more fics than I think she currently does! Idk if u could consider that lore but since she’s an OG eremika writer a lot of ppl consider her very highly, there was one in particular it was modern verse where Mikasa lost her memory and I remember being like 14 and hoping she would update it! But I think eventually it just got deleted lol ! But I know what u mean 😭 in SasuSaku there’s quite a few of them now! But idk if heart put it up again but for a while she deleted I think it’s cute and ppl were very sad, she might have put it up again tho I am not sure!

I really wish more Rivamika artists and shippers stayed aboard 😭 There’s still so much talent in our current fandom and I’m thankful 😍 But sometimes I go down rabbit holes of people’s super old art, doujins, videos, even animations pre-Ackerman reveal and I wish they stayed to keep creating more Rivamika now ;_;

Wish people didn’t scared off so easily after the ackerman reveal. I think there were probably lots of people who still understood the clansmanship/that they’re not closely related, but I’m sure most people left because of the backlash and hate from the rest of the AoT fandom. The rivamika community just seemed soooo much bigger back then! That tells me lots of people didn’t mind the age gap 🥰 It really boils down to the Ackerman clan misunderstanding which is a bummer because it’s a simple thing that can be debunked. We didn’t deserve to lose so many people 😭

I was in 5th grade when I started watching anime and reading manga. And the animes I watched were mostly of series that I heard were good (which were Inuyasha and Naruto.) But I also watched SAO and Cells At Work! (I still can't believe Netflix got rid of it AHHHHH!!! *cries*) I don't think I started AOT until the end of 5th grade, like probably near the beginning of 6th grade. I'm probably remembering it wrong.

I started Inuyasha like...the beginning of COVID. So in 5th grade while doing my work I'd have an anime on or watching YT about people cosplaying as anime characters and doing stuff or...uhhh, ya know...art edited to music and reading doujins that people put on YT for people to read. Yeah, I started that shit pretty early.

A-Anyway! I'd be watching Inuyasha or Cells At Work while doing my i-Ready for school and I was like "This is amazing." And I've just loved those two series since then. I'm actually watching it right now as I write this, ehehe.

smh i guess its also a bit of my own fault because clearly my perfect version of eren is a bit...

like i saw an entire doujin of an aot kiki's delivery service au and thats just. such an insane idea. but like ok yeah i want to see a cute small eren !!!... 🧐🧐 why did i accept the au so readily??? it obv doesnt make sense nor relate to the actual series or characters. so i shouldnt be surprised when the author makes in that au have that old hag have a thing for 13 yo eren fml
