Content: Reluctant traveling companions to lovers, age gap, found family, and eventual smut ;) but not til wayy later
Summary: It’s been years since the apocalypse started, years of Y/N being on her own save for her furry companion that was always by her side. Y/N thought that it was just her and her dog. That was until she ran into people who would change her life, she has yet to know if it’s for the better.
Masterlist
A/N: YES okay, it was The Last of Us that brought me back from my writers block grave. everybody say thank you daddy joel for bringing my spark back. and I’m such a sucker for zombie content that i NEEDED to see Eren in this situation. thus this fic was born!!! i hope you like it!!! and i hope it’s worthy for my re-debut 😩😩😩 oh and DISCLAIMER: the zombies in this fic are more like The Walking Dead zombies bc they are easier to write imo

chapter one
Beams of sunlight filtered through the rustling leaves that stood above her. Their dead counterparts crunched under the heavy footfalls of her boots. In the distance the songs of birds could be heard, almost like everything was normal. Like the world lived on.
The blood on her hands said otherwise.
The girl let out a low whistle. Inconspicuous enough not to be noticed through the birdsong, but enough to have her companion be back at her side in a moment's notice. Tail wagging. Another misconception that things were still intact
A strained, painful groan escaped from somewhere in the bramble that surrounded the girl and her dog. A quick glance to her left showed one of the monsters tangled up in some rope. Surely a preconceived demise to escape the horrors that were inevitable. He was stuck in place, held back by his last ditch attempt of freedom. A waste of an arrow, bullet or even energy if she had chosen to use her knife. She moved on.
“C’mon” She said softly to her dog, who had stopped to sniff at the makeshift fire pit that the man had left behind. Seeming to be his only property as there was no stock of supply that the girl could root through.
The lack of possessions didn’t escape the girl's notice. In fact, it might have started to weigh too heavily on her mind. Who was the man that was now unrecognizable to anyone he might’ve loved? What were his interests? His dislikes? Why didn’t he have anything to his name? What was his name?
It was hard for the girl not to realize that he was once like her. Living and breathing with hopes and fears. Blood pumping through his veins. A heart that beats.
It was a fool's game, to linger on what these things used to be. If you got caught up in the tragedy of it all you were soon to lose your life. But she couldn’t help it. It was who she was down to the core. She had loved with her whole heart. Cared with every fiber of her being. But these days, if you live with your heart on your sleeve it just made it that much easier for something to kill you.
Somehow she survived. Even with the emotional habits she had brought with her from her long-forgotten past.
Maybe it was luck. But of course, she would not put it that way as it was now just her. No one that she loved was left.
If you didn’t count the one thing she was able to preserve from her childhood, whose tail could now be seen disappearing through a thicket of trees.
“Shit.” The girl muttered, picking up the pace of her steps as she followed the dog through the forest. Stress had always stiffened her shoulders whenever that silly dog decided to stray off path. And it wasn’t any different now as she tried to keep the black and tan tail in sight through the overwhelming sea of green.
Luckily her dog was smart enough to stop and wait until she was by her side again. And at the end of their impromptu journey— When they stood at the treeline, overlooking a small clearing that was home to a cabin, the two of them caught a glimpse of movement.
Well, more than a glimpse.
The girl saw two people. A man that looked particularly hardened by the severity of this unwelcome lifestyle (though somehow still very handsome), aiming his gun at whatever had them in such a desperate state. And a young girl— most likely barely even a teenager— pulling at the locked door of the cabin. Their panicked shouts and disarray was loud enough to draw in every skin-eater within a miles radius. Which was proven with the small herd that stumbled their way towards them from the other side of the clearing.
She watched as the man took over, kicking the door open and splintering the wood in the process. Safety had found the newcomers just in the knick of time as they escaped into the walls that probably wouldn’t hold for long if they didn’t do anything about the uproar they just attracted.
And now the girl was standing at a crossroad. She had a choice whether or not to help these people. And she saw the chance of her own escape. With the monsters distracted by their potential meal, with just one word, she and her dog could be back on the path that they had strayed from. They could forget about these people and keep on moving.
But instead— because of the huge heart that she seemed to have forgotten to leave behind in the past. The girl let out another whistle. A two-note tune that let her dog know that it was time to take action. And before she even realized what she was doing. She had taken the crossbow that was gifted to her from off her back and shot the first arrow.
It landed with a resounding thunk into the nearest head. Her dog had already sprung forward, dead-legging any monster that had gotten in her path. The girl followed quickly behind, plucking the arrow from the first victim and piercing the skull of each fallen skin-eater that her dog had already taken down.
As she was finalizing another death, one of them had almost gotten to her. Its grip brushed against the skin of her shoulder. The touch of death made her hyper aware of her surroundings. She rolled away just in time, scrambling back up on her knees to shoot an arrow right between its eyes. It slumped dead onto the ground.
In her peripheral vision, she saw as her dog's teeth tore into an undead arm, its rotten flesh ripping with an uncomfortable squelch as it detached from the body, Another arrow whizzed through the air. Their teamwork resulting in another victory.
A quick glance toward the cottage told her that there were only three dead ones that were left. They scratched at the door, seemingly deciding that the two people inside were an easier catch than the girl that was rolling around murdering their pack.
She got up from the ground, her chest heaving with exertion, the knees of her jeans damp from the grass that had recently received a fresh coat of rain, eyes set on her last victims. Her hand moved swiftly towards the holster that held her knife. When she gripped the cool engraved medal of its hilt she flipped it into the air, catching it smoothly, before lunging towards the final three.
Within five minutes they were dead. More blood, added to her hands. But survival kept you moving. No time to wait. So she glanced around one last time, registering her dog sniffing around an out-of-season apple tree as if nothing interesting had just happened, deposited her weapons and then knocked on the door to the beat of shave and a haircut.
She didn’t realize there were voices coming from the other side of the door until they stopped. It was as if they were trying to hide the fact that there was someone inside. A little too late if you asked her, a smirk forming over her lips.
“I know you're in there.” She called out. The voices started up again. Evidently in an argument.
The girl stood there, rocking back and forth on her heels as she waited. But it didn’t take long until the door whipped open, the speed of which sent a gust of air to tangle through the tendrils that had fallen out of her ponytail.
She was now face to face with the man that she saw.
She was right. He was handsome. But one might not have noticed right away through the dirt, grime and age that this apocalypse had sent upon him. His teal eyes were dark as he took in the sight of her. Hands locked around his gun as he pointed it at her chest.
Good thing she had put away her weapons. Who knows what he would’ve done if she was still up in arms.
The girl lifted her hands in a form of surrender. The man considered her, and then after a drawn out pause, he took a step back as if he were inviting her to come inside. She probably should've stayed where she was. Not based on social cues but rather her own safety. Nonetheless she took him up on his unspoken offer, taking a single step onto the threshold.
Inside the cabin was… cozy. There was no other way of putting it. Though one could argue that another word for it was picture-perfect, which was rare to come by in the apocalypse. Not a throw-pillow or decorative antler was out of place. It was obvious that no one had lived— or tried to survive here. It must have been a home built solely for vacation time. A luxury that was long forgotten. Laughable even.
This place was the image of manufactured rustic living. Something that you might find in a travel blog. Though the person who put together a place such as this would probably faint at the sight of the three people who stood there now. Two of which had wary eyes on the woman that barged in unexpectedly.
“Um, I did the neighborly thing and cleaned up your front yard.” She joked under the pressure, jutting a thumb over her shoulder at the mess of decaying bodies behind her.
The teenager glanced out the window, taking notice of the quiet state of the meadow, a feat that almost seemed impossible just a moment ago. Her eyes wide, she shared a look with the man she was with— confirming that they were now out of harm's way, her mouth forming over a silent ‘what the fuck’.
“Who are you?” The man grunted, raising his gun higher as if to emphasize the fact that she wasn’t to be trusted.
“Straight to the point, I see.” The woman said, her hands still up in the air. She wondered if her sign of concession even meant anything to the man glowering at her.
“You can put the gun down.” She added. “I don’t think I’m much of a threat to you.”
The man’s eyes flickered towards the stack of dead bodies that lay in front of the door, lingering on a hand that looked helpless, no sign of life, when just a few minutes earlier it was capable of tearing the flesh off of their bones. He looked back at the surprisingly unthreatening woman in front of him.
“I doubt that.” He responded. The woman glanced over her shoulder to where he was just looking, drawing a conclusion to what he meant by those words.
“Oh, you think I did that all by myself?” She asked with amused exasperation. Her lighthearted disposition baffled the two other people in the room. That was something they hadn’t encountered in a long time. They shared another look.
“There are more of you?” He asked.
“Just one.” She said after a pause. And then she let out the low whistle that she used so frequently these days. The man's eyebrows pulled together, confusion dawning his features as to why she was whistling. But the question on his tongue was answered when a moment later a dog came trotting through the door— braver than its owner and moving deeper into the cabin, nails clicking against the wooden floor.
“No way.” The teenage girl laughed, dropping to her knees as the dog bounded up to her, tail wagging ferociously at the sight of new friends.
The man stared in disbelief as the young girl scratched behind the dog's ears, a grin spreading over her features as it sniffed at her happily. His eyes shot back to the woman in the doorway, who looked way too smug for his liking.
“She would’ve been in here sooner, but you know… nature calls.”
“You trust her out there alone?” He questioned. The woman shrugged.
“She’s a smart dog.” She told him, “Plus we sort of handled the immediate danger, if you hadn’t noticed.”
The man opened his mouth to respond to her sarcasm, but was interrupted by the teenager who was still enamored by the dog in front of her.
“What's her name?”
“Ellie.” The woman told her. “Eleanor P. Dog for long, if you want.”
“P. dog?” The man repeated, exasperated by her weird humor.
“Puppy dog.” She answered, “Just… something I called her as a kid.”
“How has she survived this long?” The younger girl asked. The woman laughed, but there was something melancholy in the sound of it.
“I didn’t give her a choice.” She responded, “I took the time to train her when all of this started. Turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks.”
“I’ll say.” The man said wearily, once again alluding to the damage they had done outside. At his words, it seemed that the dog was done greeting the teenager as she padded her way over to him. Somewhere in the haze of conversation with a person that wasn’t a 14-year-old girl he realized that he had lowered his gun. No longer a threat. The dog stared up at him with big brown eyes, her tail wagging lazily.
The first thing he noticed— now that the animal was up close, was that she was an old dog. Gray hairs littered the fur surrounding her eyes and snout. It was honestly a miracle that she had lasted this long. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to let the girl become attached if he let these two stay any longer. He opened his mouth to tell them to leave, but was interrupted once again.
“So…” The woman started, clapping her hands together. “I assume you checked the place for skin-eaters?”
“Skin-eaters?” The teenager parroted, scrunching up her nose in the process.
“It’s what I call the dead ones.” She explained as she turned towards the door, taking one more glance outside before closing it shut.
“Oh… We call them walkers. And yeah, It’s all clear.”
“Gabby. What are you doing?” The man admonished.
“I don’t know, giving her the rundown?” Gabby said, gesturing towards the woman, “She asked.”
“Yeah, well she doesn’t need to know.” He told her through gritted teeth. “She’s not staying.”
“Oh come on, I think she earned her keep.” Gabby argued, crossing her arms in that defiant way teenagers always seemed to do.
“We don’t even know who she is.”
“If that’s the only problem—”
“—It’s not the only problem—”
“What’s your name?” Gabby turned towards the woman, ignoring the older man.
“Y/N.” She offered. A small curious smile on her face as she watched the back and forth between the two of them.
“Nice to meet you Y/N.” The younger girl beamed, holding out her hand for Y/N to take. “I’m Gabby. This is Eren.”
Y/N moved to take her hand, Eren raised his gun again. The woman stopped to look over at the fuming man, his features hardened with frustration.
“I think I like her better than you.” She said, as she took the girl's hand in her own. The man scowled at her. She returned it with a grin. “At least she has manners.”
“Don’t mind him.” Gabby reassured, releasing the handshake after an appropriate amount of time and then stuffing her hands into the pockets of her sweatshirt. “He’s this way with everybody.”
Y/N nodded her head in understanding, stealing one more glance towards the man before responding. “I don’t blame him. It’s not easy to trust strangers these days.”
“Then you understand why I have to ask you to leave.” Eren tried again.
“I think…” Y/N pondered, finally turning to face him, she took in the state of the man. How his long brown hair was pulled back in a low bun, small pieces of it framing his structured jaw, he had bags under his eyes probably due to lack of sleep. Though that didn’t take away from his apparent attractiveness.
“That we should sleep on it.” She hastily added, ignoring the fact that she just admitted to herself that he was attractive. His jaw dropped in disbelief at her words. And he was sure to snap back at her with another demand to leave. But she didn’t give him the chance as she turned away from him, moving toward a door that most likely led to a kitchen.
“Hey!” Eren called after her in his deep voice, though it fell to deaf ears as she pushed open the door, letting it swing shut behind her. Unfortunately, the man didn’t give up that easily.
A second later he barged in behind her. And before she even had a second to think about it, Y/N's back was pressed up against the rough surface of the exposed brick wall, a silver knife drawn up against her throat. Her breath hitched, but she knew not to make a fuss. So she didn’t scream or fight back, and allowed for this new position to take place.
“Look, I didn’t want to do this in front of the girl.” Eren growled, his forearm pressing against her chest, “But I don’t trust you, and if you want to get out of this alive— I suggest you give me one good reason not to kill you right now.”
“God… at least buy me dinner first.” Y/N grunted out the joke from under the weight of his arm, her hands now grasping at his forearm to try and ease her staggered breathing. Her efforts fell short. He was too strong. The man glared at her, she felt the knife press deeper into her skin, though it had yet to draw any blood. Clearly this man knew what he was doing with that thing.
“Guess this isn’t the time for jokes.” She relented. Eren just stared at her. She stared back, trying to muster up any semblance of bravery. When he didn’t say anything or do anything that might conclude in her death, she realized it was her turn to make her case.
“You must’ve been burned by a lot of people,” Y/N said simply, not as a question but rather a statement. She didn’t have to ask him if he had been hurt before, she already knew from the look in his eye, and the rough hands that didn’t hesitate to hold a knife to her throat.
“I have too. There’s no getting by it, nowadays.” She continued, her voice was soft.
“But I’ve also been saved countless times by good people. And I know for a fact that you have too. It’s what we do. We help each other. Anything good that has come out of this world— even before this shitshow started— was when we came together and did the right thing. If we didn’t we wouldn’t be any better than the walkers outside these walls. It’s what makes us human. And I’m a glass-half-full kind of girl. I like to think that there’s a lot more good than there is evil.”
“You don’t have to trust me.” She added after a spell of silence between the two, “But I think you know I’m one of the good guys.”
“How do you know that I am?” Eren responded gruffly, still not completely sold by her words.
“The fact that that little girl is in the other room, alive and breathing is proof you have a heart.” She answered matter-of-factly, “Plus if you weren’t a good person, you would have already slit my throat.”
“It’s not too late for that.” He muttered, though she could feel the knife slacken in his grip.
“I’ll take your word for it.” She replied, “But maybe we should do what I said and sleep on it. Take tonight to get to know each other, and if by the morning you still don’t trust me, we’ll talk about it then.”
Eren just looked at her. For a moment she thought that in the next she would be dead on the floor, crimson seeping from her neck, but he took a step back, the missing weight of his body giving her an odd feeling that was somewhat empty. She shook it off, instead focusing on trying to catch her breath and steady her beating heart that was ringing in her ears.
She pushed past Eren, moving deeper into the kitchen, their shoulders brushing together, hoping that he couldn’t tell that he actually shook her. He didn’t make any movement to try and figure it out.
“If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to see if these people left anything good.”  She then said to the cabinets in front of her, not daring to look back to see if he was listening. The only thing that indicated that he was still there to hear what she said was the kitchen door slamming shut only a mere second after her words were spoken. Finally granting the space she needed to breathe.

Have Pieck and Porco during the Zombie Apocalypse! Turns out, if your titan gets bitten you turn anyway, so fighting in human form is safer (less surface to nom). Since the cart titan has firepower, Pieck took a riffle (I can't draw these obviously XD) and Porco uses two knives like the Jaw's claws. It's just a quick doodle, I am struggling to focus long enough to draw good things so I keep them simple

aot characters in a zombie apocalypse
This is a good one, but I'm not so good with Apocalipse AU so I'm very sorry if this isn't so good. Hope you'll like it.
Warnings: Mentions of death (but nothing graphic), some mentions of mental illness (also nothing graphic), but will mention su!c!de.
Let me sort it into categories.
The unlucky ones that die in the first wave, right after the zombie outbreak. Either because they would be in the wrong place at the wrong hour or because they would be paralised with fear, or just give up because they'd rather die.
Bethlehem (Berthold), Floch (because I said so), Historia (she'd be like "nope, ain't doing it, rather die"), Connie (I'm so sorry, but I think he would die because of other people's panic), Reiner.
The ones who survive the first wave of the outbreak because of their fast thinking and even help others survive as well. They can die later on while trying to find shelter and supplies and something goes deeply wrong.
Armin, Pieck, Colt (they would be the best fast thinkers) maybe Hange (if they weren't with Levi at the moment)
The ones who survive for a long time, almost died many times and still made it. They maybe could end up dying sacrificing themselves for loved ones, specially young kids and teens.
Eren, Jean, Marcel and Porco (they would die for one another, I know that) and Sasha.
Ultimate survivors who are badasses and kill the zombies without a single drop of fear. They also almost died so many times but somehow survived. They are the ones who are always on the run and will avoid helping survivors in fear of getting killed.
Ymir, Mikasa (those two are so badass but will not die for anybody, sorry) Erwin.
The ones who survive and just disappear from the face of the earth. They manage to get isolated but never let their guards down (extremely vigilant, almost paranoid and crazy).
Levi (he actually ends up sheltering children like the babysitter he is), Kenny (would probably forever hide with his husband, Uri), Zeke, Annie.
The ones who get babysitted and saved and protected and no harm ever comes to them.
All the warrior kids, I will not accept kids dying.

Consider: AOT zombie AU
Which characters would be the pragmatists? Which would sacrifice themselves to save others? Who would, or wouldn't, be able to kill their turned loved ones?
Jean would put himself on the line to help those who can still be helped, but he wouldn't be stupid about it. Careful preparation and planning would be in place. He'd probably have Zombieland-style 'rules to stay alive', but would bend them to help others.
Reiner would be the self-sacrificing hero type. When the outbreak started and things got bad, he choked and someone died for it. He vows not to make that mistake again and frequently charges into danger to help others. If he wasn't strong and fast, he'd be dead by now for sure. Maybe sometimes he wishes he was.
Erwin is focused on the preservation of humanity. Damn the few to save the many. He has a stronghold dedicated to research for finding the cure. They do not take refugees - not into the main building, at least. He can't risk it.
Eren hates zombies with a passion. He'll kill them just for the sake of killing them. If he thought there was a chance they could be turned back, he'd let them live, but he doesn't.
Annie is a lone wolf. Constantly on the move, not letting anyone get too close. Friends are a liability. She's already had to kill too many people she cared about. Despite this, she'll still step in and help others if she sees an opportunity.

zombie UA
Well shit… it’s the second coming of unicron. Somehow eldians will be blamed, outside paridis problem basically solved?, and infected will be drawn to Optimus like moth to a flame (matrix of leadership).
overall way worse than arachnid timeline. Wait for zombie hunter scouts and wheeljack giving zombie survival tips.
Previous episode of the Zombie AU
PFFT! HA!
But yeah, Eldians would no doubt be blamed and would still be considered more of a threat since they are runner zombies. But you know what's funny, the Eldian interment zones end up becoming safe zones because of the massive walls. And the Eldians keep the Marleyans out.
How the turn tables
And again, there is a lot of push back from the island about participating in the outside world, but Hanji, Optimus, and Megatron are recognizing that it's a problem that will ultimately come to their doorstep.
And the infected would just go through basic primary instinct of killing and destroying. They might not be drawn to Optimus or Megatron in particular. But Hanji would definitely ask about the mind control aspects of dark energon and see if he could implement it.
And yes, it is way worse than the Airachnid Timeline. When Wheeljack and Arcee get there, Arcee might just rage quit. She didn't ask for this. But they do end up giving a run down of zombie lore from Earth.

You let out a long sigh as your heart raced in your chest. You shook your arms as you fought your tears. You sat down at your makeup table and tried to control your breathing. You knew you wanted to marry Levi with everything inside you, but you were just nervous about being in front of everyone.
You and Levi had gotten married back home in front of both your parents. However, you wanted something separate with your friends because you had a lot. So, Levi thought it'd be fun to do something abroad for you to get married again in front of your friends, celebrate and then have a honeymoon right after at the same place.
"Sweetheart?"
You flinched and looked up to see Levi standing in the doorway in his perfect summer suit. "Honey."
He walked over to you and placed his hand on your upper back. "You look incredible."
"Thank you."
He crouched at your side. "Like a Queen."
You turned and faced him. "Sorry you were called to come here and see me."
He held your hands and kissed them. "Don't be sorry. I enjoy being with you and I know you don't like being the centre of attention. This is hard, but just remember I love you."
You smiled and kissed him. "Love you too."
Levi pulled you to your feet. "Come on." He led you outside into the hall. "After this, we'll go to our lovely hut together. I can't wait to have you all to myself for two weeks."
You hugged his side as you walked with him. "I can't either. It'll be so romantic."
Levi shifted you and him closer to the wall as a man stumbled down the hallway. "I'm looking forward to it too." He pressed you against the wall to hide you from the drunken man. He watched him go and stop a moment before throwing up. "Tch, idiot. It's only ten and he's shitfaced."
You looked back at the guy and frowned as he twitched a little. "He doesn't look right."
Levi stared at the man as he stood there twitching now and then. He squeezed you as the man growled a little. "We should get going."
You stumbled behind Levi as he pulled you down the hall. "What if he needs help?"
"Leave him be, okay?"
You hummed and walked with Levi. "Odd man."
Levi carried on walking with you until you were both outside. He smiled at your friends waiting. He led you down the path and released a long sigh as he got ready to marry you for the second time in front of his friends.
He smiled as he held your hands and got ready to declare his love. He leaned closer but paused before kissing you when he heard screaming in the distance. He lifted his head and looked out as your guests noticed more and more screaming.
You reached over and clung to Levi's shirt. "What is it?"
Levi held you against him. "I don't know." He frowned a little as he saw someone stumble towards you both and pause. "What the..." His eyes widened when he noticed the blood on their shirt and the discolouration in their skin. "Tch, shit."
The man screamed at you both before sprinting towards you both. You hurried forwards and grabbed a chair that a guest fell out of. You twisted your body in your light summer wedding dress and put all your weight into your attack. You slammed the chair into the charging man causing the chair to obliterate and the man to be sent flying to the floor.
Levi pulled you back. "The fuck is this?"
You panted a little. "Honey, I know this sounds weird and you might call me a nerd but" you pulled from Levi and grabbed a splintered leg from the floor before standing over the man "I think we have zombies."
Levi flinched when the man woke up and screamed at you, his veins were black, eyes empty of life and teeth discoloured. He reached for you but you were quick to plunge the wood through his head causing it to stop moving and flop back.
"Shit!" Levi yanked you away. "Love, we have to go." He cupped your face as everyone ran around you both trying to escape the infected racing towards your event. "We have to go. I need you to stick with me and then teach me everything you know about how to survive this shit, okay?"
You nodded as you held your husband's hand. "Yes." You kicked your heels off and started running with Levi.
As you both raced away from the event you saw infected people tackling, biting and clawing at people. Cars crashed against walls, buildings and other cars. Your hearts were racing as you just thought about keeping up with Levi as he held your hand tightly.
Levi pulled you against him and twisted you both before crouching behind a car as another car crash happened. "Are you okay?"
You nodded and gazed at Levi. "Levi, don't let one bite you, okay?"
"Promise." He moved away from you and peaked to see if there was a chance to run. "Other tips?"
"Head. Always go for the head. You can cut of limbs to slow them down, but going for the head stops them."
He hummed in response as he watched an infected race after someone. "So, we need weapons."
"We want things that make little noise. If we make noise, it could attract a swarm."
He let out a long sigh. "I can't believe you learned all this from video games." He smiled at you. "I fucking love you."
You crawled over and kissed him. "I fucking love you too." You looked up and gasped. "Levi!"
Levi grabbed the zombie and slammed its head into the window of the car over and over again until the glass smashed. He unlocked the car door, put the head of the zombie between the door and slammed the door hard until it's head popped sending blood and brains everywhere.
You clapped your hands. "Amazing."
Levi wiped the blood off his face and smiled. "Come on, we can run now."
You grabbed his hand and ran with him down to the beach. "Our hut will be safe. We have food, water and we can block the path to us!"
Levi scooped you up into his arms and sprinted faster. "Tch, I hope everyone made it."
You saw parts of the white sand you loved had been spattered in blood. "Levi."
"Focus on me, okay?"
You gazed at Levi and felt your heart flutter at how handsome he was. "You're so handsome."
Levi smiled a little. "Thank you." He ran down the long deckings and past huts until there were none for a bit and yours was a lone one. He put you on your feet and scanned the keycard for the hut. "Go inside and find some weapons. I'll put some bins and benches in the path to make a barricade."
"Be safe."
Levi kissed you before hurrying down the decking and moved bins, benches and anything he possibly could to make a wall so nothing could get to you both. He backed up and built a second wall. He looked his work over and strongly believed that you were going to be safe.
He hurried into the honeymoon hut to see you standing in your wedding night underwear. He eyed you in the special lingerie set. "Fuck, you are beautiful."
You smiled softly at Levi. "Why don't you come here for a closer look?"
He locked the door behind him. "I would love to explore every inch of you."
You gasped as he yanked you against him. "I know we're in a life-or-death situation and things could go wrong, but watching you fight those zombies and save my life..." you moaned "it was so sexy."
Levi roughly kissed you. "You were incredible too." He lifted you up and smiled up at you as you wrapped your legs around him. "Come on, our world could end any moment so lets live every day as our last."
You giggled as Levi carried you to the bedroom. "Yes, sir."

Life update for those interested:
This break from writing where I’ve been able to focus on my health and recalibrating myself has been so needed and necessary. I’m doing much, much, much better. 🥹 The biopsy results I was waiting on were generally positive and I’ve started a course of treatment that I feel good about. 👏🏻 Doctors who listen make all the difference!
With that being said, there will still be a lull in updates because I have the crazy, stupid lucky, insane (all of the descriptive words) opportunity to travel to both Alaska and then Japan (🤯) basically back to back (literally 4.5 days between trips. I think I’m certifiable at this point).
Also, pretty sure Amazon suspects that someone hacked my account with the ridiculous amount of stuff I’ve been ordering for these trips. 😆
So the next update will unfortunately be at the end of May/beginning of June.
Thanks for sticking it out with me!
I’ve been on AO3 for a year tomorrow, and the reception I’ve received on my stories will never fail to astound me or bring happy tears to my eyes. ❤️

ATTACK ON TITAN CHARACTERS! DURING THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE ★ masterlist.
Tumblr media
⏤ eren
gets really anxious when the news reports come in but ultimately he then has to make sure his family and friends are safe
is nervous about how much food they have and if the house is safe enough
when the house eventually is unsafe to stay at, i can see eren becoming protective of his group and will put himself in danger if it means everybody else can be safe
doesn’t like zombie games much so he doesn’t know what he should do
lacks common sense and hasn’t yet processed that zombies are real and want to eat him
has almost gotten bit like 3 million times and is always somehow injured
eventually he gets lazy with cutting his hair and lets it grow until mikasa reminds him to cut it and she cuts hers at the same time
refuses to wear jeans and so is always in cargo pants
screams when he attacks zombies which only attracts more of them
never remembers to check for supplies and somehow always loses a flashlight on a scouting mission
is better on the walls or lookout for his camp and becomes pretty good with medicine and looking after his team
doesn’t have super good spatial awareness but he’s brave and always goes in head-first to a fight
doesn’t like to stay in one camp for too long, he prefers to travel around until they can hopefully find a cure
⏤ mikasa
is really scared when it all goes down but puts on a front for those around her
has very high stamina and never seems to be tired even when she most definitely is
is very alert and always on the lookout as she’s walking around
is the first person to kill a zombie in her group and has to remind eren to aim for the vital spots rather than just attacking them without thought
is just as protective of her group as eren is but she has much more common sense
gets anxious when doors are closed just in case they need to make a quick escape
is always searching for supplies but she feels very guilty if she’s very obviously looting another survivors stuff
doesn’t want to kill other survivors but if they cross her then they’ll wish they hadn’t
very careful not to get injured but sometimes she gets caught up in mess when she’s with eren
can’t drive so she is always on shotgun or in the back on lookout
has good aim and likes to use guns
her strength is good too but she gets too tired when she fights zombies physically
is a silent hunter
⏤ armin
always has backup plans for his plans
is the most scared but the most rational about what to do when hell breaks loose
armin doesn’t like to go out on runs or fight but he will do his best if he has to
learns about healing and medicine so he can be of more use when the others go out and come back
he’s very good at reading maps and comes up with the next best moves and is a trusted voice in the group
never wants to be the leader of anything and so can be a bit of a coward
if they come across stubborn survivors, armin is used as manipulative bait while they come up with a way to either get away from them or around them without killing them
armin is very anxious about rations but has good gut instincts on what they should and should not be eating
has low stamina so doesn’t think he’s good enough to be in the group
⏤ jean
without wanting to be, he sometimes becomes the leader of groups hes in
played a lot of zombie games so knows how situations go down and what to do next
is suspicious of almost every newcomer but is the first person to open up once they’re in the group
has an irrational suspicion of cannibals and one day it will be right, just wait
when he’s not resting or hunting, jean is working out because he could always be better and stronger
looks to armin and erwin for advice
would sacrifice himself if he had to to save the rest of the group
absolutely does not want babies in their group but he’s the first to feel guilty if they somehow find one
has to make the hard decisions on behalf of everybody until they can find someone who can make those decisions without feeling as guilty as he does
has survivors guilt when marco dies
wants to run from zombies but fights and then talks shit about the zombies afterwards
doesn’t like to do things on his own
has nightmares
⏤ connie
has the dirtiest clothes
is used as the lab-rat and bait but he doesn’t mind because he’s lowkey an adrenaline junkie
even though he gets spooked, he always feels good knowing he’s done well by his team
refuses to run around in anything other than good trainers and is always looking for new pairs when he’s scavenging
wears comfy clothes because there’s nothing worse than being uncomfortable running from zombies
has trust issues
likes to use melee weapons and isn’t very good with his aim when it comes to throwing or using a gun
moves very quietly but sometimes he breathes too loudly because he’s scared
reminisces about the past too much and makes himself and everybody else sad
thinks that they should never accept outsiders and is standoffish to new people
would kill people if he had to but he doesn’t really want to
holds grudges
⏤ sasha
is the best hunter
tracks animals in the woods and helps hunt for food while the others search for supplies
thinks its safer to be in the woods than it is in open spaces
like connie, she doesn’t trust outsiders
is the best at being able to tell what they should and should not be eating during the apocalypse
always has dirty hands and skin
gets really afraid when she has to fight people and would rather fight zombies if she absolutely had to
is good at spotting incoming hordes or outsiders
would like to use a crossbow and bow and arrow but would use a gun if she needed to or had no other choice
makes herself hungry by thinking about the foods she used to eat before the apocalypse
always thinking of new recipes to try out for the camp
sleeps too well
⏤ reiner
starts off with so much will to live
then eventually he gets sloppy and lazy and gets bored with the apocalypse
just wants to rest and be left alone but these zombies won’t give him a BREAK
always waits til the last second to attack the zombies and sometimes his group think he might actually die on purpose, but he never does
is physically very strong and would rather stay at the camp making it more fortified
at first i could see him wanting to be outside, exploring and collecting stuff but as time goes by he just becomes more and more disinterested with his life
throws rocks at zombies out of boredom
took up cloud watching or bird watching to pass the time
has such a sardonic and sad view of life and everybody thinks he’s super depressing to be around
⏤ berthold
does what he has to when he has to
would betray people if it meant he could live a little bit longer
he just wants to go home and wake up and find it was all a dream
is the most optimistic about a cure but eventually he begins to lose hope
has no desire to fight anything but he is a good chef so he helps sasha prepare meals
⏤ annie
puts in the effort to fill the time
is very concerned about her own safety but knows that if she had to, she’d rather be with other people than be on her own in this world
misses movies and reading and would probably find love with reading when she has nothing to do at camp
has never had a significant injury but she can get tired very quickly and sometimes causes arguments when she says she doesn’t want to go out scavenging this time
always counters armin’s plans with alternatives to make sure that he’s 100% sure that its the only way
cares very little about anyone outside her group and kills unprovoked if they cross her
holds people at arms length because she can’t be bothered to like people and then lose them
doesn’t like it when sasha kills rabbits but she knows its the only good thing to eat when there’s nothing else
⏤ historia
cries herself to sleep every night
always putting on a brave face and encouraging everybody to do their best when they’re outside
physically can’t handle the recoil on guns so sasha’s teaching her how to use a bow and arrow
is the smallest so climbs into weird places to see if there’s any more supplies or a way out
takes good care of her body, hair and hygiene
fusses too much about other people
feels sad when she has to eat animals that she saw sasha bringing in
is clumsy
⏤ ymir
joined the group with historia and only cares about her
she doesn’t want to see anyone die, of course, but if it’s a choice between anyone or historia then she knows who she’s picking
is quite good at everything but is lazy when it comes to volunteering to make a difference around the camp
argues with people for fun
isn’t afraid to tell people that she thinks differently and is sometimes quite smart when it comes to seeing something from a different viewpoint
trusts people who are physically bigger than her
doesn’t think zombies are that scary and always thinks that they look weird and they’re so slow and how do they decompose so fast
finds it hard to believe that a bite turns you and so is half tempted to try it
if she had to die it would be to save historia
is dirty
⏤ levi
hates every second of the apocalypse
he cant stand the dirt and the smell and the direness of it all
at first he has no desire to continue living, everything seems to bleak and hard and honestly he doesn’t give that much thought into his life
but then he thinks that zombies are cruel and unfair and he wants to save his friends
he trusts his friends a lot and will do what they say
mostly trusts erwin, hange, mike…because they’re older
thinks that the younger people in the group are too reckless and dangerous
levi doesn’t want to kill other survivors ever but will if there’s no other way
helps butcher animals when they have to cook them
never seems tired and rarely backs out of a task he’s been asked to do
has spectacular aim and strength and almost always gets headshots
is not sloppy nor lazy
doesn’t sleep well but sleeps well if he knows somebody can be there to wake him up if they need him
⏤ erwin
is kinda cold-blooded
kills if he thinks its the right choice and he always assumes other people are untrustworthy
never feels guilty about making tough calls but he too looks to jean for the answers because he doesn’t want to be the bad guy sometimes
is the voice of reason
doesn’t like being in big groups and has plans to split off either in a smaller group or on his own
heard at the start about cures and quarantine camps and has a lifelong goal of finding out why it all happened and how he can finally stop fighting
⏤ hange
good at identifying poisonous plants in the woods
does not trust mushrooms or berries btw
has insane theories about how it all began but does not trust anybody they meet on the road who claims to be a scientist or know the origins of the outbreak
thinks zombies are fascinating because nothing about them makes sense and is the most likely to get into trouble from being too close to them
met somebody who said they were immune and really badly wanted to study it and has been obsessed with the idea ever since
doesn’t like violence period
would rather avoid zombies and go around them than go through them
⏤ zeke
doesn’t want to live
tries to die but he just won’t die
every time he goes to kill himself, somebody appears to save him
as some cruel joke he thinks hes immune to the virus and tells everybody that he is immune
doesn’t care about hygiene anymore because one way or another he’s going to die
makes jokes about what kind of outfit he wants to die in
comes up with life stories for zombies to ease tension
⏤ marco
got eaten alive at the start

There is a rising number of Zombie Aus in AOT fanfics. As a kinemortophobiac I choose to just read them all and not able to sleep for the rest of this year.
