magic trio supernatural/college au!

in which andrei (president of the occultism, black magic and investigation of the paranormal phenomenon society "yes, three people and the occasional visit of your danish boyfriend count as a society lukas, thank you very much" "he is not my boyfriend" "sure honey, sure") after much researching (and a long try and error process) orders from an online site an old book that claims to be an ""ancient grimoire of asian magic"" that, under certain conditions, will allow them to summon a servant.

a demon (or something. "or something? are you crazy?" "maybe! but you know that i love surprises") who can, apparently make all your dreams come true.

the chosen ritual proved to be more complicated than they imagined but after some months of wait the conditions were optimal. so that night arthur, lukas and andrei spent three hours reciting ancient passages on the roof of the dormitory building, under the new moon on a particularly humid summer night.

they waited...

and waited...

and waited a little bit more.

arthur: "see? it was clear that this was another scam, i told you that the site looked tacky and that you didn't have to spend $1200 on it"

lukas: "1200 dollars? oh to be a trust fund baby"

arthur: "that's what i said, but honestly what we were actually waiting for? it's not like you can go and introduce yourself like "hey! my name is arthur kirkland, it's so very nice to meet you, is there a demon who wants to make a contract with me? i can offer my soul with no problem at all" it's not that easy"

andrei: "i guess you are right, prietenul mei"

arthur: "of course i'm right!"

andrei: "well, that's it for today's session, let's wrap this up and go it's bloody hot in here"

that night, however, arthur could swear that he had the craziest dream of his entire life and all he could remember about it was a soft voice calling his name, the new moon and a forest. what was all that about? he didn't know, but was going to find about it the very next morning.

he was getting ready to go to class (willing to forget about the weird sensation that THAT dream had left in him) when someone knocked on his door, it was very early in the morning and he wasn't expecting visitors.

uneasy filling his body, that strange feeling again.

sighing, he went to open the door, thinking that it was surely one of his friends (probably lukas wanting to steal some cookies from the pantry as a breakfast) but finding that he was mistaken, instead of familiar faces he found a unknown young man. jet black hair, deep brown eyes, pale skin (almost cadaveric) and soft but strange facial features.

"arthur kirkland?" the stranger asked, his voice deep but somehow distant. a sound out of this world.

arthur: "yeah?"

kiku: "my name is kiku, it's very nice to meet you. i heard your call and well here i am. may i come in?"

and then a smile.

the same smile that arthur saw that night in his dream. reality hitting him like a truck, andrei had made it, that (un)lucky bastard...
