Have you ever written lovers to enemies? And enemies to lovers?

…technically, I guess not?

I actually really hated enemies to lovers for a long time bc most of my exposure was from published romance fiction and usually it amounted to this:

Guy is absolute asshole to Love Interest

Love Interest begins to fall for said asshole despite him continuing to be an asshole and treat them like absolute garbage

They live happily ever after

And it would annoy the utter PISS out of me.

But now that I’ve seen things from the fandom side, I have come to appreciate the dynamic a lot more, and especially with sebard as one of my fave ships (and Sebataker), it’s something I definitely will explore more going forward.

As for the opposite????? *deep inhale*

I guess you could consider WDH to be a bit of a lovers to enemies if you look at Lau/Sebastian??

But as much fun as I have with them in that story idk if it’s something I could set out to do as such…. I love torturing my characters but ultimately I like people to be happy in the end…. So yeah I suspect when you see this trope it’s usually bc there was a very unhealthy relationship that the Mc became aware of and escaped, even if it continues to haunt him (like in WDH and the Promise series…. Also, arguably perhaps CT as well).

You got this ask fair while back... someone seemed interested in your Irish connections and theories, but also seemed uncertain that Irish violations and their plight, would be showcased as a centrepiece when so much of Black Butler / Kuroshitsuji has paranormal fixations. I found that very odd? When so much of Indian, German, and to an extent Japanese and Anglo folklore / spirituality is also showcased in Kuroshitsuji...so I suppose my question is. When do you think we'll see it (if we see it) and what paranormal aspects pertaining to Irish Mythology do you think would fit into the story if you had to guess?

I don't think it's a matter of how Yana will weave/reference (more) Irish history and (more) Irish/Celtic Mythology into the story, or even how she's going to weave more of it, going forward. @apocalypticromantic666 , @seekers-who-are-lovers , @noirserviteur Have all found many general Celtic/Scottish/Irish connections and references in Kuro, I'm not the only person who has seen it. I'm particularly fond of this post (though the user deactivated) pointing out that the Phantomhive Graveyard has both protestant crosses (Church of England) and Celtic crosses (most likely Irish catholic) for gravestones. (here) It's not as necessary to me how much is included so long as more is included and considering the recent chapters I have no reason to think there wont be? Most of all, I wanted to point out, what already HAS been woven into it, and thematically that it makes logical sense, being the time period, and location and the repeated theme surrounding Indentured Servitude. In addition... I also believe some of the "paranormal" and "supernatural" elements connected to Irish mythology could already very much be there, even if it is/they are only referenced in name... 'hiding' in plain sight. The "Phantomhives" deal with England's "Underworld" do they not?

Do you know about the "Tuath Dé" or the "aes sídhe"...? If you don't, I highly recommend looking into the other "cycles"... starting with the Mythological Cycle.

(Source) It's widely believed and accepted... they are a part of a mythical race, that depending on the legend and translation, live in the Underworld and pass into it through burial grounds.

Almost like, a nest of ghosts, if you will... hmm. Or perhaps like... a hive full of phantoms... 🤔🤔🤔

What part of the writing process is the most enjoyable?

Well ... for me it is really the planing phase. When rough ideas are slowly getting more fleshed out, the bare bones of what wants to be a story growing flesh. It's so much fun, that I more than once ended up stuck in that phase, cause I can never deliver on the images my mind creates.

And trust me, these images are vivid and have cinematic quality 😂

Heavy sigh on his lips, the devil turned back to watch his wife converse with cubi from her former hive.

They were effectively swarming her, thanking her for the chance to finally live in peace.  The world around him seemed to stop existing as he watched the scenery. So many things could be different if things had taken a different turn.

When he locked eyes with her, he was surprised to see panic on her face. He heard her screaming his name, but it was dulled. Like his world was engulfed by layers and layers of cotton.

Then he felt the familiar warm rush of blood soaking his shirt and in his mouth. Looking down on himself, he saw a broad blade sticking out of his chest.

Time slowed to a crawl as he felt the blade withdraw, his body sacking to the ground. Unable to process what was happening, he once again looked at his wife, only for her to disappear.

The next thing he recognized was the wet, sickening sound of tearing flesh.

Turning his head, he saw a figure with heavy resemblance to Marlianken, but with a lot of added features she didn’t possess.

Sharp claws, a long fluffy tail, two additional horns as well as two additional ears. And if that wasn’t enough, her skin also showed markings that resembled the fur-markings of a red tabby. All tapped off by her holding a lifelessly dangling man up with one hand, while what was left of his throat remained in her other, blood soaked hand.

Thinking about how funny the coincidence was, the devil felt how someone dragged him away, his vision starting to get foggy. He heard someone shouting “Get the Grand Master to safety”, but it didn’t interest him. He was fine, wasn’t he?

People around him scattered like scared rabbits, but the scenery in front of him was so damn fascinating. Why did they flee anyways? It was just her.

When he saw her turning her head to the side, he also saw that she now sported large fangs, too large for her lips to conceal them anymore in fact. Opening her mouth, a strange mix of roar and hiss escaped her throat, as she tossed the lifeless body aside to dart after something, or someone, else.

That’s where his vision went completely blank, as the devil lost conscience.

My words are: never, wrong, sin and mouth. 

Never: This was merely the smell of his flesh, the devil mused, salivating in human response; the perfume of his soul was enough to make Sebastian mad beyond comprehension. “The technology of photography could never truly capture your opulence, either. I would not dare threaten your perfection by replicating it with some still image of time.”

Wrong: With his free hand he attempted to wrestle free of the devil’s clutches, pulling at the wool around Sebastian’s arm. He was a fool to think he could escape. His physique was laughably frail and smaller than his counterpart’s, so much so that a pull in the wrong direction may snap his bones.

Sin: The thought of being discovered sent anxious waves of depravity through his soul, blood rushing to his ears at just the thought of being so humiliated. To be the pinnacle of human sin and lechery. What a beautiful bouquet of blasphemy he would make.

Mouth: The devil’s mouth, although wicked, felt almost saccharine compared to their normal trysts – usually full of vulgar words and brutality; Sebastian’s mouth was warm, and soft; hungry, yet gentle, and infernally dexterous.

Attention EVERYONE in the black butler fandom: Block esther-emerald/Linaemerald.

They have harassed multiple users (usually proship) but are a proshipper in disguise (or denial), but they like to pretend that they are an anti. But if you ask me, they don’t deserve support from either side here due to their weird and shitty behavior.

Either admit you’re a proshipper or shut the fuck up. Otherwise, you are going to be isolated from all sides of the fandom. :)  As you deserve.

I highly recommend blocking and reporting this person because this fandom has no place for bullies who harass people.

My hands clench against the leg of my trousers, nails digging in enough to help me focus. The scent, the soft and needy pants of the boy in the cage.

I can’t leave him with these people but neither can I help how badly I want to bend him over and fuck him in front of them all. Claim him.

Vincent’s son is too precious for such treatment though. At least in front of an audience.
