Jack doesn’t know how much time has passed since Spencer came and grabbed him at the gas station. It feels like it’s been hours, but for all he knows it could’ve been just thirty or so minutes.

What he does know, however, is that this is probably the closest to being in hell that he’s ever been. Which, considering the life he’s lived for the past few months, is a bit of an achievement.

He’s more than a little delirious from the sheer amount of blood he’s lost, and he knows if help of some kind doesn’t arrive soon, he’s as good as dead. Spencer’s already more than overpowered him, and he knows he has very little chance of making it out alive.

That doesn’t mean he’s making it easy for Spencer, though.

“Still don’t believe I’m here to kill you, Jack?” Spencer says, planting his boot on Jack’s chest and digging in his heel, just to fuck with his likely bruised and fractured ribs some more. His tone is calm and casual, as though he’s just discussing the weather, but Jack knows him well enough to tell that he’s pissed.

Jack can barely speak between his wheezing cries of pain, but he’s determined to reply. If he’s going to die here, he isn’t going to give Spencer the fucking satisfaction.

“N-No,” he chokes out. “You’re too much of--” Spencer snarls and puts more of his weight on Jack’s chest, and Jack can feel something crack, but he barely manages to finish his sentence anyway “--a fucking bitch.”

Spencer stares at him for a long moment, his expression unreadable, then abruptly he lifts his foot from Jack’s chest. Jack barely has a moment to suck in a breath before it’s quickly knocked out of him once more when Spencer aims a sharp kick to his side, knocking him closer to the gaping hole in the ground Spencer had forced him to dig. For a long moment, he simply lay there on his side, struggling to breathe and focus.

His mouth tastes like copper, and he tries not to think too hard about that.

Spencer is saying something, a vicious growl in his voice like an angry dog’s, but Jack hardly registers the words as his exhausted, aching eyes fall on something lying near the hole.

The shovel. The fucking shovel. Spencer had been taunting him with it all fucking night, just barely missing him each time he swung it his way.

“Stay still, Jack,” he’d said. “I wanna see how close I can get.”

If he can just get his hands on the shovel, he might have a fighting chance.

With what little strength and adrenaline he has left, Jack starts to drag himself over to the shovel. It hurts like hell, and he’s sure that he has more than a few new broken bones to add to his collection, but he has to try. He expects Spencer to stop him, but it doesn’t happen.

Instead, he vaguely registers the sound of a gun cocking. The haze that is Jack’s mind right now clears long enough to hear Spencer ask incredulously, “Who the fuck are you?”

Jack doesn’t look up to see who Spencer might be talking to, his hands shaking as he finally grabs the handle of the shovel.

Fucking finally.

Have you seen the new windara poster? I'm very excited for june now, i am SHOCKED at how well the bug aliens look. Also kokotiam's armor design looks so fun and fits so well with the overall bug theme (Gopal and fang are hilarious i cackled when i saw them)

Boi's an ant and theres probably an essay someone already wrote about the meaning behind that, yaya's a lady bug and gosh she looks pretty, ying is a bee and i love the sporty look since bees are very fast bugs so it fits very well (also thank God she finally has a helmet my girl you are basically at a war protect your head dear God) it also fits better than the previously more "mage" look which.. did not make sense to me WHY she was designated that class

Fang and Gopal are Hercules beetle and rhinoceros beetle, which looks absolutely hilarious but makes sense. Again theres probably already an essay out there about the significance of each bug that has been designated for each kokotaim member so i won't bother you on that (though the research is fascinating and i highly recommend!)

Kritics are getting WAY too comfortable, we get it its not based on the comics designs. Infact i'd argue its better since the comics are literally just them with armor. In a bug planet. They have armor. For. Humans. That LOOK human, with the exception of Fang's but do you realize how nonsensical that sounds?

Also we were already told there were going to be changes in the story and design. The creators were very open on that, you don't like the 3d animation design? Great! You have a preference, sure; fantastic happy for you, we have our opinions so kindly. Shut up :D

Look kritics are normal i am not dissing on that, i'm more on people being mad that kokotiam doesn't look as "pretty" or "cool" or whatever and all i can say is. ARMOR IS FOR PRACTICALITY NOT LOOK POINTS WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE ONNNNNNNN

Also adapting a 2d design from a comic to a 3d design is HARD (trust me, blender i both love and hate you) thats not even counting ANIMATING it, you hate the 3d version? Well boi do i have good news for you that theres a 2d version :D its in the comics thats FREE for you to read on webtoon.

There wasn't even supposed to BE a galaxy season 2, there was no preparation for it ehich is why the comics are so different than the status quo. They took risks because there was never a plan for an animated version. So the fact we're getting anything at all for FREE mind you is a BLESSING

You can kritic sure yeah thats fine but use at least polite wording. These are people thats working on these things not your slave.

DON'T JUST SPEW NEGATIVITY AROUND LIKE ITS NOTHING. YOUR RUINING THE FUN FOR EVERYONE; THOSE WHO DIDN'T MIND THE DESIGN CHOICE, THOSE WHO JUST WANNA HAVE FUN, THOSE WHO ARE ENJOYING BBB JUST AS IS.

You have a specific design or writing that cater to you or you enjoy more? Do it yourself :D

Grab a pencil and start writing/sketching. HAVE FUN, you may not like it but not everyone is like that. There are those who like it, there are those who don't mind, there are those who understand that its not easy to create an adaptation.

Moreover the comics and show have very different audiences. Look at the difference between movie 2 and its comic, you can see that some scenes were either soften up or cut entirely because what audience it caters too more

If you want a more serious and emotionally mature view you can go read the comics (they are fantastic btw! Highly recommend movie 2 and the compilations)

Take a deep breath and think for a second. Is this kritic important? Is there an ACTUAL issue with this design choice? Will there be people who feel hurt by your words?

My biggest spotlight of all for me was how they reimagine the adult characters since well to be fair it has been uhh.... six years ago we had more than a few we had since movie 2? (Sori only had Gaharum and....uuuhh the trio lobster guys that I forgot what their names were in the tv ver :/)

And yes anon. The lady bug, Maripos, General Reramos and Princess Kuputeri. That number alone is a big step up from Sori. We also need to mention the army below in the poster. I highly appreciate they risking themselves by involving more characters like in Galaxy season 1.

To my suprise, I really looove Maripos in this ver. 😘🤌

I think I already written an essay, twice. Either if it's your ask box or not I'm just gonna put it here

and here.

My version gonna be a bit different from yours, so bear with me anon. Every perspective from each individual is still counted as subjective, no matter how objective they are, including myself.

Ehem.

Me personally... I'm on both sides of the group. I can understand why some people are angry about the suit design because I'm gonna be honest, even tho there were two different media between the comic and the tv/movie, staying in the source material without changing anything is essential to any adaptation series.

So the way people are furious with it. I can see where are they come from.

'The Kokotiam armor suit is heavily different than the comic ver?' Valid; 'Still use the chubbier render ver from Sori when this arc starts to get darker?' Valid.

And other takes that I obviously ignore since that were just beyond logic. I kid you not, anon. When they posted it the first time, my instinct was muting all words related to Boboiboy or spending my timeline with another topic. Because your frustration was my biggest worry that came true.

But at the same time, not many franchise could do the same strategy. Sometimes, refurbishing them without losing the source material could also work WITH extra proper care and permission from many parties. Because this tactic is such a gamble to please anyone. I also highly recommend studying the story behind the redesign of Sonic Movie 2020, Pre-Launch-Post Launch, and the impact on its linked franchises.

(Well to be fair the MCU franchise starting from Spiderman 1 was also a good topic to study)

So my bet is...maybe Monsta doing the latter strategy. It is risky for sure, I can guarantee that when they published it on YouTube since og era. But I can see the reason for their decision. Designing a proper armor for their planet's theme is genius tho. Big bonus to differentiate each bug for Kokotiam's gang that has meaning to them.

(Were they attempted to make Bug's Life in Boboiboy series? Lol😅)

Critics aside, people need to know, that even tho the comic looks dope as heck, Boboiboy's first release was on the screen, not on the paper. The screen audience within SEA is waaaay higher than the comic enthusiast. Therefore comics, in this case, is a fan service. You don't need to know the details, but you might get curious to search behind the scenes further.

(That's what I do after I finished Sori btw.)

There are advantages & disadvantages of Monsta releasing the second season comic first before the animated ver. The launch of the Mechamato series and Galaxy 2nd season may or may not help Monsta during the pandemic. Monsta's mini-series about covid awareness also helped them to survive.

Yet, people treat the Boboiboy franchise now are kinda similar to how people demanded things from an animated series that adapted from the manga. Which... Uuuh a bit unhealthy to be honest.

But again as I said before, at the end of the day, criticism especially from the internet always wants what they ask, not what the creators want.

This is also the reason for my decision to not meddle my interest further on the internet. The damaged left me a scar from my previous fandom that I'm at this point I'm toooo lazy to engage more in the community.

(But that doesn't mean I don't like the franchise anymore tho. I still love it af)

Anyway how was your ramadan and eid? Did you have fun :D ?

Alhamdulillah anon! My schedule really packed pre-during-and post Ramadhan!

I went to two towns for "mudik" tradition before and after ramadhan for the first time after the pandemic! (for outdonesian or maybe outside of malaysian as well, it's like a Christmas gathering at grandparent's house... I guess(?)).

It was such a wholesome trip for sure! but boy I did need some time to adjust too(It was a challenging ride if you have a place at the mountains🤢)

My ramadhan month was also busy with working as a part-time job at my family stand. It is tough to sell things that were really not on the most target wanted.

But Allhamdulillah most of them were sold! I'm soo relieved! 😆😆

And because it was a holy month, I really need to take a rest from any social media. I still use them honestly, but not as many as before.

Now I'm struggling to get my drawing and writing enthusiasm back.

i'm not up to date with the manga but i've seen yuuka around! i really adore her design and personality !! spunky short haired girls are one of my favourite tropes so episode of savanclaw was made for me lol 😩 also the fact that she practices judo is very * __ * i'm also super interested in how her love for cats/animals will come into play (specifically if it influences her dynamics with leona and the beastmen ww)

late night cuddling with Simon, he’s super sleepy and you just can’t stop talking, I’m in need.

the type of man who will let you keep rambling and will give you the occasional 'mhm' instead of telling you to be quiet right away and that he's trying to sleep.

the two of you had slipped into bed hours ago to watch a movie, but by this point it had been long done. the entirety of the movie was filled with bursts of you making comments and trying to figure out what happened next. and in response, simon's hand lazily scratching your back while you cuddled next to him would come to a stop and instead would poke your backside. "jus' keep watching, love," he murmurs quietly, eyes focused on the tv on the wall opposite of the bed.

and even with the movie being done, you still managed to trail off and talk about random topics. questions here and there that were rhetorical and sometimes specifically directed towards simon. a string of 'yes, love', 'mhm, yeah i agree' and other quick words to indicate he was listening only fueled the continuation of your ramblings. but soon enough, he couldn't fight the sleep his body had been trying to give in to the past thirty or more minutes, eyes drooping shut.

"simon, are you listening?" your voice registered in his head, and keeping his eyes closed he rolled onto his side while adjust your position as well so your back was against him. draping an arm over your body and tugging you close, his lips pressed against the back of your head.

"you're an energizer bunny, y'know?" his voice laced with teasing despite the way it left his mouth like a grumble. your cheeks warmed at the comment, feeling embarrassed at your constant rambling for the past few hours now.

"sorr-"

"don't apologize." his arm gave you a gentle squeeze. "keep talkin' all you want. can't promise i'll reply in the next five minutes," a small yawn escaped his lips as he shifted slightly, his head nestled against the pillow but his arm never loosening its hold on you. so, you quietly rambled on once more and a soft chuckle from simon vibrated against you when he realized you would still keep going even if he was going to crash asleep any minute. the last words from him are a quiet ' love you' that's just managed to leave his lips before sleep washes over him.

Idk if I'm too late for the Neuvillette drabbles but imagine trying to go swimming with him but he doesn't get in the water so you splash him playfully and then he just. Summons a fuckin tidal wave on you. By accident. And he's so apologetic afterward but you're just laughing your ass off lol

Nope, not late at all! I just went to bed last night right after posting the thingie lol also this sounds so cuteee <33 I had fun with it! Thank you! Word count: 501

Gather like the Tidal Wave

"Ah! Finally, some time to relax!" You squealed as your feet hit the sand as you ran towards the cool, blue water. Without warning, you jumped in, the cold water surrounding you. Neuvillette, on the other hand, just watched you with a light smile as he stood a distance away.

After a couple of moments, you poked your head out, looking over at him and waving. Raising a gloved hand, Neuvillette waved right back, chuckling to himself.

"Aren't you coming in?" You called back to him before pouting when he shook his head.

"No, I'm alright, but you do look like you're having lots of fun." Neuvillette replied as he walked closer to the water, only his boots getting wet due to the waves rolling in on the shore.

"Aw, come on! You've been working so hard all weak! Don't you need to swim? Cuz you're a dragon and all." You said, making him shake his head a little.

"I'm not a lizard that dries out, sweet (y/n), I'm a human just like you." You crossed your arms at his words, your cheeks turning a faint shade of pink.

"Yeah, well it doesn't rain when I get super sad." You argued back to which he looked at you confused.

"No, if I recall correctly, it does rain when you get upset."

"It rains because you get upset that I'm upset." Well, Neuvillette couldn't deny that. Honestly, if you were upset or you cried, that transferred to Neuvillette and before you knew it, it would be raining.

"I can't deny that." He said honestly, his icy blue eyes shifting away in slight embarrassment.

Deciding it was too boring without him in the water, you began to splash him. He threw his hand up, stopping the water before it hit him, making you whine.

"Neuvillette! You're no fun! Come on!"

"I'm sorry, my robes are a bit expensive and I don't want them to get wet-" He flinched when you splashed him again, but this time the water hit his face.

He couldn't find himself being upset because... you were laughing. So, he decided to play along. He walked a bit further into the water and swiped his hand against it, making it splash you. And so began the very short splash war.

Unforunately, Neuvillette wasn't paying attention and... with one swift move of his hand, a large tidal wave formed beside you and crashed right over you. You squealed, holding your breath in time as you spun around under the water.

Neuvillette, on the other hand, audibly gasped. That wave was a lot bigger than he meant to make it! However, his panicked heart was instantly set at ease when he saw you stick your head out and begin laughing.

"My apologies, that was a little big."

"That was so cool! Do it again!" You exclaimed in excitement, jumping up and down. Much to your dismay, Neuvillette shook his head as he began walking back out of the water.

"No, I don't think so."
