but i have heard people make the point “you’re more helpful alive than you are dead” yes its powerful he self immolated in stand for Palestine but he could’ve used his body in other ways that would make a literal impact like block the trucks/boats sending the ammunition, going to protests, etc. i could see why people think what he did was selfish/foolish and i don’t know why that’s a controversial take.

Application Rejected

When Danny adopted Cujo he saw him as a puppy, which was a little sad considering the implications. He always thought Cujo was the only one who had stayed, the only one whose soul had persisted. He thought Cujo was alone.

He was wrong. Not all adult dogs and puppies stayed, of course. But many had. Cujo was simply the only one who decided to return to the world of the living, probably because of his obsession with his toy.

One day Cujo showed him where they were all hiding; Danny knew that those dogs had not stayed for the same reason as Cujo, they probably had a myriad of different reasons, and that was fine.

The problem was that excluding some of the adult dogs (that obviously were fine on their own and didn't care), there were many puppies similar to Cujo running around in need of affection and he couldn't adopt them all (besides, Cujo would definitely get jealous). And while many ghosts agreed to take a couple, it wasn't all of them, so Danny did something extreme.

He held an adoption fair in Amity, which was a smashing success. He just forgot that a lot of people in Amity...were usually traveling, and the ghost puppies would follow.

Then, a few days later when a scowling guy showed up (he obviously wasn't part of the general Amity Park population) and demanded a "bright green" puppy, Danny said no and refused his application. He couldn't trust someone with no knowledge with a ghost dog. Although he did offer him a course to learn about their care.

Damian Wayne was offended with his overall assessment. He was obviously the right person to care for one of those pups. So he set out to prove that to the boy in front of him, without hesitation.

You don't feel guilty about your kinks or your body anymore? Would you be willing to share some of the work you've done to get to that place? I've been in therapy for years and still feel like I'll never be able to love myself or my body as long as I'm fat and into feedism.

i, for some unclear reason, grew up so that my sexual fulfillment is entirely tied to fat, fat women, and getting fatter, and based on the current psychological consensus, there's no way to change that.

one thing that really helped me through the internal struggle with this was radical acceptance. basically, you accept reality for what it is and let go of the illusion that you can control it. plainly, you're going to spend your entire life liking fat. and you can either hate yourself for it, or you can drop the judgment and show yourself some compassion and forgiveness.

and after that, i started following fat women, engaging with body positivity + body neutrality, learned a little more about the science of fat, and realized it's far from the worst or most unhealthy thing in the world to be fat. and that there are many gorgeous, incredible, thriving fat people out there. i did a lot of self reflection, really thought about my priorities, and i decided that i wanted to make not hating myself the very first one.

Honestly, the whole "[x] group can't be oppressed! Name one right they don't have!!!" because it's such a narrow-minded, State-enforced look at oppression and group struggle.

When you talk to a marginalized group, often they might bring up that there are laws that hinder their movement through life, but a ton of discussions won't surround the law - they might talk about how they are refused equal opportunities, or are medicalized, or treated like a problem to be solved. When you focus so heavily on the State, you are neglecting that enforcers of oppression or oppressive dynamics will not be the people with the highest power of the land.

Despite there (in theory) being equal rights, that by no means means that it is correct to surmise that no group of people aren't oppressed or marginalized. Just because there isn't a law in place that says, "discriminate against this group!" doesn't mean that they are granted the same opportunities or ways of life you might have.
