I was an apprentice on a space station and my boss wouldn't let me into a specific room as it was "too graphic for a youngster". Just as he said that, a terribly charred body was carried out the room and I immediately recognised it as my boss, even though he stood right before me. The dream ended with the alive (fake?) boss throwing the body into the incinerator. It was ambiguous as to whether I survived (I wasn't in the last 'scene').

Seeing the Spirits of my path embrace and guide my apprentice has been, and continues to be, such an amazingly powerful experience.

While I've been resistant to mentoring for many years, I now find that it's one of the primary highlights of my week to work with them. I am so grateful to my Spirit Kith for bringing us together and giving me the chance to sow the seed of their wisdom in this way.

I am proud to say that I have officially completed my apprenticeship with a Pass grade! I am done done done done!!! I told my manager Tracey and she said "Well, now you're an actual Junior Software Developer! No longer in training!" and I am so happy! 💻💗

I told my Dad, Mum, my fiancé, my sisters and my uncle and they're all super happy! Do you know what that means? Gifts!!! Hehe!

And what a coincidence my 21st birthday is in 4 days so extra gifts AND work are taking me out for my birthday so extra happy day!! ✨

However, even though I finished the apprenticeship, I'm obviously not an expert so I will be continuing studying on my own. I still feel like "Oh I know some stuff but I'm not 100% confident in the rest" so will continue trying new things, building random projects and just go from there!

Thanks to everyone who helped me here and externally! 💗💗

One of the exercises my mentor has me to is to trace lines. Here I’m using a regular bic pen which we’ve attached to a coil machine, which I then turn on while I draw. Working against the weight and vibrations strengthens the muscles in my hand! 💪🏻

I worked a 8:15-5:15 shift today, went to Tesco to get some monster, and now it’s time to get this coursework done! (It’s due tomorrow at 9am 😭🫠)

I work full time as well as being a full time level 3 student, being an apprentice is hard! Especially when it’s in a field that I know next to nothing about, so I’m jumping in the deep end!

I have 5 assignments left to do, most of them essays, and I already know I’m not going to meet this deadline, because unfortunately life has gotten in the way, but I’m still going to try my best and get as much done as possible. I am waiting on confirmation as to weather I’m allowed an extension due to some pretty terrible news I received half way through, but I’m treating it like I don’t have an extension!

Wild when you realize that a 1-year-old warrior actually has two entire seasons they've never handled alone. A kit for 6 months spends most of their time in camp and an apprentice trains over the next 6.

A warrior can train over spring and summer and not actually know how to hunt in snow. A warrior who's used to being extra careful in frost could lose prey for being too slow.

This is why it should be a rule that a cat can't have an apprentice until they're 2 years old, tbh. Has been a full warrior for 1 full year... even then, 3 is a much more reasonable age.

Resting and starting an apprenticeship.

Hi everyone are you?

I hope well.

The last few weeks have been full of emotions for me, as I was preparing to take a test to enter an apprenticeship at a company in my country.

I again thought I wouldn't make it, mainly because this one is VERY DIFFICULT. But I PASSED. I passed the technical test and then did the interview.

If you followed my April or May posts, you saw how frustrated I was for being pathetic in an interview. So due to that experience, in this one I studied and even spoke in front of the mirror.

Fortunately, the conversation was very good, I knew how to give the right answers and captivate and I got my spot on the program.

This program will be 12 weeks learning react.js with the company's developers, team projects and if I get a +70 at the end I'll get a job.

So I thought it was a good solution to get a tech job by the end of the year.

I was about to have my 3rd burnout of the year so after I got accepted I just didn't take the code and didn't study anything and I think it was my best decision.

I'm not 100%, but I'm fine enough to make an effort and manage to do what needs to be done. They ask me to study 5 hours a week, so despite being afraid of not being good and the new, I think that by dedicating my days to study I can do well.

And I'm still finishing the front-end project classes I'm taking part in, but in this one I'm more focused on doing my 3 projects and getting the certificate. Fortunately I have until the 30/07th, so I'm fine.

Second, I was wondering whether to share it here or not. BUT besides wanting to look at my trajectory at the end of the year, I also want to show people that entering the world of technology is full of successes and mistakes, BECAUSE I AM HUMAN LIKE YOU.

I procrastinate, I get frustrated, I get stressed, I think about giving up and so on. Anyway, I'm going to share my routine and then I want to share the notes I take here on my linkedin for potential students in the next classes.
