Hi i have a question for you! I saw your description and i have a doubt about "aceflux". Is it right to say that aceflux people are almost never turned on also in their own? I mean, even in their intimacy, they have small/zero sex drive and do not reach.. The highest point of it? Please do not get me wrong, i ask because i have doubts about my situation
Aceflux is where you're alignment on the ace spectrum fluctuates. You can be ace one day, allo the next, somewhere in the middle, or anywhere in between. You can have a sex drive and still be ace, as ace refers to sexual attraction, not necessarily your libido, tho it can play a part of it. That's why there's asexual vs a sex repulsed asexual. You can be ace and still get turned on. It's plenty common for aces to enjoy and/or prefer their own intimacy. So no, aceflux people can experience sexual intimacy in their own.
What you also may be thinking about is greyace, which is little to no sexual attraction rather then none like ace.
I like using aceflux as I can never decide where I am on the spectrum but I know I'm on it. I also like apresexual, where you don't feel sexual attraction till you feel a different one first, tho I mostly stick with aceflux for rn as sometimes I feel more demi, or closer to allo, etc etc.
Note that this is all my opinion based on research I've done😊

Sence we’re getting so many asks about the names for various orientations I thought I would post an updated version of our aspec orientation dictionary. This dictionary also exists here on our blog and is frequently updated, but something screwy is going on with the bolding on that page right now so it might be hard to read. There’s also a copy of it here in the Quicksand font because I find that that’s easier for folks with dyslexia and other LD’s to read then Arial is.
Note: this is not a complete list. A-spec terminology is constantly growing and changing and it’s hard to keep track of every single term, so if I missed an orientation please let me know, I’ll be happy to add it!

Demi/apres anon again, what makes it even more confusining, is: I'm romance repulsed to a degree. I can't stand hand holding or calling my partner and I a "We." My idea of romance is basically monogamous bestfriends with benefits. But I do think I experience romantic attraction, despite this... Foes that make sense?
Yeah that makes sense. And sometimes repulsion is just there even if you do still experience attraction. It might help to look at what way of labeling yourself do you think would be the most useful for you. So for example you can ID as aro based purely on being romance repulsed if you want to since romanced repulsed is an aro identity. And if you feel like it would describe you in a way that would be useful for you can just do that. And some people who experience romance repulsion and romantic attraction will do that since identifying as aro is just simpler and functionally works.
Of course you can still use demiromantic, or romance repulsed or both if you like those labels better. You can also still call yourself apresexual if you want to even if you decide to label yourself aro. But demisexual is also fine if it’s close enough and gives people the information you want them to have.
Basically accuracy matters less than usefulness and what appeals the most to you personally.
All the best! And good luck!

I think my issue is: I am apresexual, but I wanna say I'm demi just cuz it's so much more immediately and clearly understood because it's more widely known than apre
Ah yeah, that makes sense. I think it’s important to keep in mind when talking about identity, that it’s not strict scientific classifications. Life experiences and individual personality play a role in choosing labels too. If you like demi more because it’s close enough to what you’re experiencing and gets across what you want to get across about how your attraction works, then that’s allowed. You can do that. Sometimes a label is close enough rather than perfectly accurate.
Of course if you don’t feel right doing that or feel more comfortable with apresexual, or that’s more right for you, and that’s worth the extra time and labour to explain what it means then you can use that one too.
Basically there’s not really a wrong choice to make here, the most important factors are what works for you, what feels comfortable for you, and what is communicating to other people about your identity that you want communicated. And whichever label fits that criteria better is good.
And it’s not a choice you have to decide on right away either, you can also try one out and if it’s not feeling right than switch the other too if you want.
All the best, Anon! Good luck!
