7. how do you de-stress? do you do the same thing(s) every time?

i clean and organize, but most importantly i talk to my gf and i do some mindfulness exercises too :] and i try my best to avoid stress so i Prepare for many things in advance; and i would say i switch things up i don’t have a set routine but it’s all very basic and not many new things find their way into my habits (however i have been wanting to try cross stitching for the longest time)

/day 5/ if you could live in any era which one would it be and why?

it would definitely be antiquity, ancient greece and rome in particular. the antiquity is an era which is the basis of modern culture. it would be really interesting to live, being threatened with death or execution all of the time, besides, latin would be the most used language, so i would die to 'visit' that era just once.

Day 1/31 of the March Study Challenge

Self intro: hiya! I'm sam/sammie, a yr 11 taking gcse german, japanese, tamil, history and dt (+ compulsories with further maths L2). if you hadn't already guessed, I like languages a lot - I wanted to do french as well but apparently "you can't do 4 languages" so i picked dt instead. I also love history and i'm a bit of a book nerd. I'm currently unsure about which a levels I want to take but i'll sort that out later

Fun facts about me: i'm a gemini/ i am actually very picky abt grammar irl but not so much on social media/ i like doctor who, mcr and fob.

My goal for this month is to start to properly revise for GCSEs so I'm confident with most of the material by the easter break

[Day 3/100]

Today was actually really productive—my lab ended a little bit early so I started studying in the library from 5pm. It took me three hours to complete my java assignment, and I spent another hour doing calculus homework problems. I got home and took some economics notes while watching YouTube, then just relaxed~ :) I’m nervous for the coming weeks though, because I have 3-4 exams ever week for the next three weeks AND my college decisions are coming out in the same time period 😬

usually i try to take a break from whatever i’m doing, listen to music, and do something that makes me happy. typically i’ll watch something fun on netflix to distract myself from whatever is stressing me out. sometimes i’ll try to bullet journal as well!

Hello, I am Carrie and I’m 23. I am studying Film. I have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design (but i SUCK at it heheeee), so this is a postgrad course. I am very interested in cats and plants, so you can see i am a simple woman. I am also very interested in vintage fashion (1700-1970) and vintage books. This is also a cottagecore blog,btw. 

My goals for this month are to study study study, get good grades (I have 3 tests to complete until march 21st) and to be very productive and keep my house clean and tidy. 

Fun fact: I had 2 cats named Naninha and 4 dogs named Pituxa in my lifetime.

March Study Challenge Day 1

I'm Birdie! I'm 21, and my major is Film and Screen Studies with double minors in Creative Writing and Journalism&Digital Media Storytelling.

This semester I'm taking a basic computer science class and an online math class (core requirements), the history of film and the art of film (major requirements), and the aesthetic and technology of motion picture production (an elective i regret choosing because there is so much overlap)

I love reading, writing, watching movies (duh), baking, yoga, dance, and skincare research. I'm starting to get back into visual/textile art, specifically with drawing, painting, and embroidery/sewing

This month, my goals are to corral my groupmates into actually doing any work, but preferably good work, for our semester-long project, aceing all my midterms, specifically improving my computer science grades now that the actual professor is here and even worse than his TA, and to get back into exercising regularly. And to clean my room so that moving in August won't be a nightmare

Fun fact: I'm a transfer student, so my credits are all over the place, but despite that, I'm actually graduating a semester early!!

was on a walk pondering on what i wanted to post for this prompt when i quite literally ran into inspiration. meet the beaver whose path i crossed while walking today (!!!!!!!! i can’t emphasize how much i lost my mind) i love biology because i’m in love with how the world works and how nature is constantly adapting and how it’s all so wondrous 🥺🌿

9. do you have an ultimate study tip that you recommend?

people learn so differently and no one size fits all but please prepare for your upcoming courses as well as you can and another thing is to switch up your study places; besides studying at home i like to go to my fav cafes, the uni library, the study spaces there or the cafe maintained by my faculty :]

/day 6/ could you recommend a book for us to read?

okay,here me out

1. firstly, 'the coldest girl in coldtown' by holly black is the best book i've read during the last year. the genre is fantasy, but it creates rather a dark atmosphere and the characterization is amazing. i'm not gonna spoil anything, but i hardly recommend to give this book a try.
