Do you think Superman might envy Aquaman, from time to time?
I mean, think about it. They were both raised by humans, but with Vague Memories and Portents suggesting that something more was going on.
The difference being that when Arthur discovered the truth, it came in the form of a vibrant and living realm for him to enter, with people who had been searching for him and were eager to reach out a hand. Namor meets the Avengers...
...And immediately somebody calls him Aquaman!
Shuri interjected. "Technically, Namor existed before Aquaman. He may even be the inspiration."
He was briefly confused. By definition, he is an aquatic man. But it was not the 'Aquaman' name that concerned him.

She nods, but is apparently insistent to stay on point. "He just told me that you all should make up an appropriate superhero name for him."

"The Submarine!"
"The Sub-Mariner."
Now why did he feel like that name would stick?

“I think there’s a glimmer of hope at the end of redemption for [Orm]. He’s viewed as a villain to many but he’s got a good heart. He’s had an extremely troubled upbringing but he’s not leading with his heart quite yet so he’s got to get rid of all this anger.”
— Patrick Wilson on Orm’s redemption
