L'Amoureux pressant

To start with Crowley: "Uh, hi guys." i worked on a very very big piece. My last piece 'POV: biblical accurate cocoa', was the piece, where I used all my skills I had so far in rendering and went beyond. In this piece I worked on shadowing with brush strokes and a lot of aquarelle colours. This art style study took me way longer than expected. But pls enjoy. those lovers.

It was really fun do draw this. I never drew with Aquarelle colours, except for cheap watercolours at school 25 years ago. Enjoy some detail shots:

Just some random thoughts of Friday's pre-test party

Yesterday my husband took me to coffee shop near his office so I could relax from working from home and have some dessert while preparing for a test. I didn't take any photo of the process because it was crowded. I saw a French prof from my Uni (she didn't teach me, but I remembered her because of her aquarelle tattoos). She was reading a book in French and spoke so fluently and I got overmotivated! I finished my study faster.

Got some thoughts on the way home about Mandarin changing my routine:

- I started to wake up early to spend some time for reading and listening to Chinese

- I felt more productive, because during my rest, I don't procrastinate but either writing characters over and over nor finding new books for studying. I have to admit, I'm kinda glad Chinese is popular as second foreign language in Russia, so I can buy some books in local marketplaces and find some in local social media.

- At Uni, I was recommended to read a book on different cultures to understand some specific language figures and idioms better (When Cultures Collide: Leading Across Cultures by Richard D. Lewis) I helped me a lot when I worked with Middle Asian representatives during my thesis practice. I started to re-read some parts about Chinese-speaking cultures as well, it actually quite self-explanatory!

- Watching a lot of Chinese memes!

- Funny debates with my friend (he's learning Japanese) about Hanzi and Kanji.

Lolli Shepherd has two forms of her broom, it can either turn into a paintbrush cane or a lollipop cane!

Lolli’s sheep are made of cotton candy, the sky gets filled with goldfish cookies, and her witch hat grows huge cherries underneath if you notice the flowers growing,,,,

Dream Catcher is pretty much based on Sleeping Beauty, the golden strings in Hercules Disney film, and the Excalibur sword from King Arthur but all mixed up-/ih

Dream will provide you dreams from becoming nightmares- but he’ll definitely wake you up from sleeping in class- X’D

Once again, I have made something. Im not completely happy with it? Next time, I think I'll use old paper and ink for the texbase, like an old school letter? But I quite like it for a first try.

Also, I should have used Aquarell. It is painfully obvious to me now, but... well. Learning processes take time.
