Though not inherently spiritual, Angeal recognizes the possibility of the existence of some greater force or diety. Still, he asserts that all life on Gaia is somehow interconnected, though the extent to which this could be considered spiritual is debatable as he also understands the science behind such logic. He respects those who do choose to practice religion, and is interested in understanding the interplay between religions found on Gaia (e.g. the reverance of Leviathan in Wutai, Genesis’ obsession with Minerva, etc.). He believes such knowledge could help ease diplomatic tensions between warring groups, and that the cultural importance of religion should not be overlooked.

He was always paler than she, and that pissed her off. “How’s life, Nero--?”
