Persona 3 x Pokémon Legends Arceus AU

Hey guys, so recently I was reminded of a crossover AU between Persona 3 and Pokémon Legends Arceus I came up with some time ago so I wanted to share it with y’all.

So essentially this AU takes place after the canon ending of Persona 3, where Minato/Minako sacrifices himself to seal away Nyx and dies 3 months later. However, Philemon, knowing that this is an unfortunate fate for Minato/Minako, decides to do something about it. So he decides to contact the god of another universe, Arceus, to bring Minato/Minako back to life and live in their dimension, alongside anyone else who died during his mission to destroy Tartarus (Ryoji, Ikutski, Shinji, etc).

When Minato/Minako awaken after their deaths, expecting to find themselves as The Great Seal, they rather find themselves floating in a void with a weird ass llama-looking thing telling them to “seek out all Pokémon” or whatever that means…

…Essentially this is a bit of a roleswap AU, with Minato/Minako replacing Rei/Akari, Shinji replacing Ingo, and Ikutski replacing Volo (with Ryoji being here as well I guess). Interestingly, Minato/Minako aren’t completely alone here, as Arceus also decided to bring back Orpheus as their partner Pokémon as well, becoming some sort of Steel/Ghost type Hisuian Meloetta!

Yeah this is just a crack concept I made but I do really like it, what do y’all think?

Looks great, and story is interesting so looking forward to see this. Cast is nice, Kobayashi Chiaki, Uchiyama Kouki and Nakamura Shuugo. OP and ED sounds promising.

ツルネ ―つながりの一射―/Tsurune: Tsunagari no Issh/Tsurune - The Linking Shot -

Tsurune is such beautiful anime series, and love the characters and can't wait to see new characters in 2nd season, especially Fujiwara, Onogi, Nikaidou and Aragaki. Cast is great and new additions is amazing. So happy that Tsurune got 2nd season and it's calming to see kyuudou.

First season was rather let down, but have some hope to 2nd season as PV looked great, and the case has yuki-onna. Also it's nice to hear Mamoru and Furukawa, and Mamoru is singing ED, hope it's as good as first season's Last Dance (only one great bit of first season).

PV was funny and great, four misfits is kicked out of their parties so they meet and decide to form a new party and continue adventuring together. Kobayashi Yuusuke and Toki Shunichi in the cast, and it's nice to hear Toki singing for a while as he sings OP.

Other couple from Sasaki and Miyano and their own story. Two being roommates and their daily lives in the dorm and the school. Also hearing Nobunaga and Matsuoka is really nice.

Story and theme is rather different than usual, it's about jazz players and hear saxophone is always nice. PV looked great, and curious to see this movie.

Another great episode for Rei.

I really love her character evolution. At first she’s introduced as the cute and supportive daughter of the main character but we realize soon that her role is not simply the cute supporter, she’s a character in her own right

We already had other moments dedicated to her, for example in episode 4, where we see she’s bullied by her classmates and Leo helps her out (in his own weird but cute way) so that she and her classmates are on more friendly terms.

In this episode we learn more. As it was implied before, her facade of kid always happy and supporting, independent because she doesn’t want her dad to worry for her, is slowly crumbling.

And I mean, she’s right! She’s a child, she cannot be older than 10, and yet she’s doing everything in her power to stay strong and be a good child, support her dad, trying to be “perfect” like her famous actress deceased mom. 

But, rightfully, she can’t stand it anymore. Leo left and she doesn’t know when he’ll come back, his dad will be aboard and will not be with her for her birthday, and for how much he tries to do his best to be a good dad and an athlete, he didn’t even realized her own daughter doesn’t know how to ride a bike when he gifted her a bike (a bike that she loves!)

After the accident with Big Bird (Granny gifted BB to her after Rei’s mom passing to cheer her up), that happens because Rei is frustrated and tired, Rei finds herself roaming alone, worrying inadvertently everyone. When her Cool Granny (that has ties with Ikebukuro Color Gangs, I love it - Ayu also has ties with the gang girls, amazing) finally finds her, they have a heart to heart conversation. She basically tells her that she’s allowed to be sad, to say what she wants to say and that her mother (that Rei loves and want to be like) was not so perfect all the time, she was human too!

And that’s what she does when her dad finally finds her as well, a cute tearful reunion where Rei finally is able to vent out and when Jotaro realizes he didn’t noticed that Rei never rides her bike, he’s mortified.

In the meanwhile Leo is back and assist when Jo teaches a now happier Rei how to ride a bike.

I really like that we see that this family is not perfect, but nevertheless, there’s so much love and support.

I'm a sucker for sports anime, so I drove straight into this without really knowing what to expect.

The characters are interesting, and there was plenty of silly laughs. I honestly didn't expect it to be that heavy on the comedy. I'm willing to give it a chance, so we'll see how this progresses.

But I do question that bird.
