Who are your top 5 favorite JoJo characters and why? Who are your least favorite characters?
Alright I'm gonna go into more detail because I love talking about characters <3
1: Foo Fighters. Like I've said before, Kakyoin and them have some similar motifs, namely the motifs of feeling othered from the world and not really having friends until they become a part of the main Jojo group of their respective parts. As a (probably) autistic person and a (definitely) ADHD person, I heavily relate to this message, as I never really feel like I belong unless I'm with my tight-knit friend group. What I like better about FF, though, is that this "otherness" is a key aspect of their personality and characterization, instead of being shoehorned in right before their screen time ends. That, and their overall personality is just more fun. Also nonbinary representation is always cool in my book.
2: Josuke Higashikata. He's the manifestation of my favorite things about Jojo all put into one character. He's got a snazzy outfit. He can switch from silly to serious at a moment's notice. But most importantly, he has a heart of gold and won't stop fighting for peace. The fact that he's a former fictional crush of mine definitely kicks him up a few places as well.
3: Yoshikage Kira. I know I said Josuke includes all of my favorite things about Jojo, but Kira is a manifestation of all the minor things I love about Jojo. He "looks normal" in canon but wears a Bright Purple Outfit. He has really unique dialogue. He's insanely smart. And, of course, he's a needlessly cruel villain. Araki seems to love creating villains that like to kick puppies for fun, and I love seeing them in his work. The funniest part is that Kira would actually just be a normal guy, if not for his urge to kill women. There's a lot of other things about his character I like, but none major enough to mention here.
4: Jolyne Cujoh. I really appreciated seeing her character growth throughout the story of Stone Ocean! Jolyne, like Josuke, has a lot of that fighting spirit and willpower, but instead of fighting for the sake of others (although she definitely does that don't get me wrong), her story is about fighting for the sake of herself. She's been through a lot. She grew up without a father figure. And now, she's stuck in prison for a crime she didn't commit. Her story is about fighting for her own future, fighting to make amends with her father, fighting to free herself and her soul. And in the end, it was her decisions that ended up defeating Pucci.
5: Danny. The bestest boy. Little ouppy. He deserved better.
okay but really my number 5 pick is Iggy. He's a dog who gives absolutely zero shits about humans unless they're giving him coffee gum. But underneath that shittiness is a tenacity that's almost human-like. He reminds me of my own dog, in a way. She's a grumpy old lady who doesn't listen to a word you say unless there's food involved, and she refuses to die. Seriously, she's gotten her little paws on SO much chocolate during her lifespan, and she's had to take a medicine that was supposed to give her leukemia years ago.
And for the sake of not making this any longer than it needs to be, I'll just list my least favorite character from the main cast and then overall.
My least favorite Jojo character from the main cast is Giorno. I feel like there's a lot of missed potential with his character. This is a 15-year-old boy who has both Joestar and Brando blood. There was so much Araki could have done with Giorno that he didn't, and instead created a character with very little personality who was supposed to be the driving force of his part. I think he's part of the reason Golden Wind is one of the most forgettable parts to me.
My least favorite Jojo character overall is Forever the orangutan. His Stand fight could have been really interesting but instead we got a child's bare ass on screen because Forever was a creep. I actually watched the Jojo OVA from the 2000's, and they cut Anne's character out entirely but keep the Strength fight. Because Anne wasn't there they altered how some of the events went down and honestly? It was super cool. I liked it a lot more. And do keep in mind that I don't think Araki was trying to write this as a sexy thing. I do think he was trying to incorporate shock factor though so it's still not very redeemable.

a tad late but QUEER JOJO HCS FOR PRIDE MONTH !!
phantom blood
jonathan joestar: bi and trans, and while yes i know historically it is impossible for him to medically transition shut the fuck up it’s MY mental illness and I get to choose the coping mechanism
erina pendleton-joestar: cishet but the best goddamn ally you will ever meet in your goddamn life. she will punt a bigot with nothing but sheer force of will and love for her husband and his bf
robert e o speedwagon: canonically gay but as a proud member of the gay agenda i raise you trans speedwagon, and t4t jonawagon on top of that
baron zeppeli: cishet ally. however, he does have a bone to pick with jonathan’s taste in men at first
dio brando: was gonna wait until part 3 to include him but whatever
canonically bi ! we do not claim him however he is a horrible horrible vampire man but also i love him
battle tendency
joseph joestar: bi !! trans most of the jojos are trans fuck you
caesar zeppeli: gay. i could go on a long winded rant about why i have this hc but i won’t bc it would take Forever. am willing to make a seperate post about it tho.
suzi q: this is gonna sound weird but she gives the vibe of being Totally Heterosexual at first but the more she hangs around joseph and caesar (read also: her bf and his bf) she starts to realize “wait shit wanting to kiss girls isn’t normal”
maybe it’s the ditzy vibe she has but i could see it
lisa lisa: another ally!! she loves her bi son :]
the pillar men are not confined by gender nor any label. they simply Be and that’s valid.
also the idea of someone as self righteous as kars even briefly entertaining the thought of confining himself to a label created by mere mortals is laughable
everyone else is either cishet just cuz i didn’t really get any sort of Vibe from them or they’re stroheim and burning in the fiery pits of hell
stardust crusaders
jotaro kujo: gay and trans
him being gay is canon because araki said so and him trans is canon because I said so. i know he’s closeted but i like to think he got to come out at some point
noriaki kakyoin: mmm either bi with a male lean or gay. probably goes by he/they. somewhere on the non binary spectrum they are boy but not Boy
jean pierre polnareff: bisexual and in desperate need of some bitches
muhammad avdol: gay and has basically been dating polnareff for the last 5 months, only problem is polnareff is Very Dense and Stupid
iggy: dog
hol horse: hes reoccurring so i feel obligated to include him. cishet and had a habit of making lowkey offensive jokes from a place of toxic masculinity before josuke entered the picture. it’ll definitely take him a second to remember what it means, but he will answer properly if you ask him his pronouns.
diamond is unbreakable
josuke higashikata: morioh’s resident gay guy. he/they and lowkey has demisexual vibes
okuyasu nijimura: i feel like okuyasu wouldn’t want to label himself. he’d think it was too complicated and unnecessary so he’s just like “well i’m not straight that’s for sure”
koichi hirose: either a trans het or a cis bisexual, maybe somewhere in between.
yukako yamagishi: very very scary ally. if you insult her boyfriend or his friends (slash boyfriends josuyasukoi rights) there will be several knives in your mattress tonight
rohan kishibe: gay. there is nothing heterosexual about rohan kishibe.
tonio trussardi: split between cishet ally or pan. on one hand, i am fully ready to accept the take that he just really loves his unnamed fiancé, but also i could see him being able to share his love and cooking with anyone.
kira is ultra bitchless
golden wind
giorno giovanna: giornos sexuality is an enigma to me, all i know is he is Not straight. i will die on the hill of non binary giorno.
bruno bucciarati: gay father of 5
leone abbachio: gay father of 4 for a hot fucking second before he warms up to giogio
pannacotta fugo: gay and trans ! he/it
narancia ghirga: non binary and demisexual ! no preference. he/they/it
guido mista: like bi or pan, though he doesn’t really give a shit about labels. chics are cool, but so are dudes.
trish una: trans fem bi ICON. her and mista are mlm/wlw solidarity but also they bully each other mercilessly
diavolo is cishet and i mean that in a derogatory sense
stone ocean
jolyne kujo: i went back and forth between lesbian and bi for jolyne initially, but honestly i think ive settled on bi with a preference for women. also trans fem thats very important.
ermes costello: professional woman enjoyer. maybe bi but i lean more towards lesbian
foo fighters: non binary !! literally couldn’t give less of a shit about labels but if someone asks they respond with pan
weather report: bi with a preference for women :]
narciso anasui: ok right off the bat i am a transmasc anasui truther first and a person second.. probably pan but i don’t think he’d really stick to a particular label, all i know is he isnt straight.
enrico pucci: im like 90% sure he’s canonically gay, but if not then he is most definitely gay.
have not finished sbr yet so will probably add more when I finish that + jojolion :]

Battle Tendency Liveblog JJBA Ch.48-52
Tumblr media
This is the “Joseph vs. Straizo” arc, so I’ll just lead off with one of my favorite moments from the entire JoJo franchise, when Joseph furiously declares war on Straizo with tears in his eyes.   In the anime, voice actor Tomokazu Sugita delivered this with such intensity that it actually overshadowed the machine gun.
None of the dubs or translations can do it justice, including this panel from the JoJo’s Colored Adventure scanlation project.   This is a faithful translation of Joseph’s line, as far as I can tell, except they always leave off the last part: “宣戦布告だぜ!!”  In romanji, that’s: “Sensen fukokuda ze!!”    And it means  “This is war!!”
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Tumblr media
Last time, we saw the Joestars treating their new friend Smokey Brown, to dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant.   Some mafia jerk caused trouble, Joseph whooped his ass, and then a second mafia guy apologized and shared a rumor he recently heard: Robert Speedwagon was found dead in a Mexican riverbed, apparently killed by a Tibetan monk.
From there, we see that Joseph immediately realizes that this must have been Straizo, and Erina suspects that it must have something to do with the Stone Masks and the battle with Dio fifty years ago.   Smokey warns Joseph to consider the source, but Joseph is pretty sure it’s credible information, since mafia guys are all about money.   I’m not sure what that has to do with whether he’s telling the truth, though.   Either way, Joseph slugs the guy for just blurting out such terrible news in front of Granny Erina.
Now, at this point, Joseph and Erina are making all these Phantom Blood references, and Smokey has no idea what they’re talking about.   And I think seeing this panel helped me understand Smokey’s role as a viewpoint character.  When the Part began, it seemed like Smokey was sort of the narrator for the thing, which works because he’s a good viewpoint character, and he seemed to be settling in as a sidekick like Speedwagon and Poco in Part 1.   But shortly after this he just vanishes from Battle Tendency altogether, and then he shows up at the end like it’s no big deal.   I never quite understood that, and I think this is the sort of thing that fuels the “Araki forgot” memes, but it actually makes a lot of sense.
See, Smokey’s primary function is to be the viewpoint character, specifically for the readers who missed out on Phantom Blood.    BT is a direct continuation of the previous part, in a way that none of the other JoJo parts are.   Most of the main BT cast was deeply affected by what happened in Part 1.   A few of them lived through it, and the ones that didn’t have personal connections to it.    So they constantly talk about Stone Masks and Dio without really stopping to explain any of it.   Well, if you don’t know what they’re talking about, you can take heart in the fact that Smokey doesn’t know either.   So as long as he can keep up with the story, so can the uninitiated readers.  For now, all that matters is that he’s impressed by the Joestars’ great kindness, and he’s intrigued and disturbed by these hints of a tragic past in their family.
And eventually, Smokey learns just what happened to the Joestar Family, or at least everything that the reader needs to know to follow Part 2.   But that doesn’t happen until near the end, which is why he shows up to hear the secrets revealed.   But for most of the story, he steps aside, because that’s mostly about Joseph dealing with events in the here and now, so Joseph can act as his own viewpoint character.
Tumblr media
But is Speedwagon truly dead?   The story flashes back to the previous night, after Straizo killed his own disciples and clobbered Speedwagon.   They’re in this temple where Speedwagon discovered more Stone Masks, like the one Dio used, but Speedwagon also discovered an immortal man petrified in a stone column.    Straizo was enlisted to destroy this “Pillar Man” with his Hamon power, but instead he wants to use one of the Stone Masks to turn himself into a vampire.
Before he does this, he reads Speedy’s translations of the writing on the walls of the temple.    The ancient Aztec cultists who built it said that the Pillar Man was immortal and had many powers, but he was vulnerable to the sun, just like the vampires from Part 1.   But the writings warn that the Pillar Man created the Stone Masks because of this weakness, and one day, “when he befriends the sun, the world will be his.”  That doesn’t seem to follow, since the only thing the Stone Masks seem to be able to do is make new vampires, who are just as vulnerable to sunlight as the Pillar Man.
Anyway, Straizo doesn’t seem to care.   He just doesn’t want to die of old age, and he’s become disillusioned with the Hamon power he has, so he’s turning heel and going full goth on us.   To avoid Dio’s mistakes, he plans to eliminate any witnesses, including Joseph and Erina.  Then he’ll go into hiding and figure out a long term plan, with the rest of the world unaware of his existence.
You know, now that I write that out, I’m amazed by how similar that plan is to what Dio ends up doing in Part 3.   In Part 1, he set about turning a whole town into zombies, and planning to unleash them on the world without any real agenda.    But in Part 3 he eventually holed up in a swank mansion in Cairo and took great pains to stay hidden while he acquired more power.   Parts 5 and 8 carry that same idea even further, with villains who go to great lengths to cover up their very existence.
At any rate, we only see Speedwagon pass out in this scene, so it’s unclear whether he actually dies or not.   Really, using Speedwagon in this way is a pretty smart play.   He’s an old man, and he was never going to survive another 50-year time-skip into the next part, so it’s safe to assume that Part 2 is his swan song.   But how will he die, and when?   It could be at the very start, or maybe somewhere in the middle.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Straizo just walks up to a cafe in New York to confront Joseph, and Joseph whips out a machine gun and shoots his ass.   This whole time, Straizo had assumed that the untrained grandson of Jonathan Joestar would be easy pickings, but Joseph’s a lot more skilled with Hamon than he expected, and he’s tricky too.
Tumblr media
As Joseph fires on Straizo, he recalls how worried Erina was about all this.   The story kind of glosses over it, but Joseph seems to have worked out Straizo’s entire plan.   I guess that’s not much of a stretch.   He and Speedwagon were together with a temple full of Stone Masks, and then Straizo turned on Speedwagon.    Why else would he do that, unless he used the Stone Mask to turn into a vampire like Dio did?   And once you arrive at that conclusion, it isn’t hard to figure out what Straizo’s next move would be.    And that’s how Joseph was so prepared for this.    After the shooting stops, Smokey freaks out about Joseph murdering a dude, but Joseph was expecting a vampire the whole time.
I also like Joseph’s line in the flashback.   Erina isn’t worried for herself, but for Joseph, because it looks like he’s being pulled into this same tragic fate as the rest of the family.   But Joseph resolves to face this head on.    “If this is my fate, then I accept it.”  Pretty sure Will Zeppeli said the same thing when he discovered that he would die saving Jonathan.
There’s similar “call-to-adventure” moments in the other parts.   Jonathan has his when he accepts Zeppeli’s offer to train him to battle Dio again.  Jotaro has his when he defeats and saves Kakyoin, then learns what’ll happen to his mother if he doesn’t go.   Josuke has his when Angelo shows up and he has to avenge his grandfather.   Giorno kind of always had a hankering to take on Passione, but I think things got serious once he had a choice between killing or sparing Bruno.  There could be no turning back from that point.  For Jolyne, it was the moment she had a clear path to escape the prison but decided to go back in because that was where her enemy was.    For Johnny, it was that one battle where he chose to crawl towards the danger to save Gyro instead of withdrawing to safety.   For Gappy... I’d have to study that a bit.
But for Joseph Joestar, it’s this moment.  Erina never sent Joseph to learn the Ripple from the Hamon monastary, and she seems to have taken great pains to keep him out of trouble, but now trouble has come to them, and Joseph isn’t about to back down.
Tumblr media
So yeah, bullets don’t actually kill vampires, but Joseph was hoping to destroy his head with some of those shots, or at least slow Straizo down long enough to finish him off.   Instead Straizo reveals that he has the power to shoot high pressure fluid from his eyes, the same move Dio used to kill Jonathan at the end of Part 1.   He calls this “Space Ripper Stingy Eyes” which is either stupid or brilliant depending on your mood, I guess.   He used it to protect his head from the machine gun fire, and then he uses it again to shoot Joseph... except he hits Joseph’s reflection in a nearby mirror, and I guess he didn’t notice the real thing standing behind him.
Tumblr media
What makes this fight so awesome is that these two are determined to kill each other, and they each have extremely simple moves to defeat one another, but they have all these tricks and schemes to protect themselves.   Joseph manages to hit Straizo with Hamon, but it does nothing... because Straizo was a Hamon master before turning into a vampire.   He can’t use the Ripple without destroying himself now, but he still knows how to defend against it.   For instance, he’s got this scarf woven from dead bugs, because it conducts Hamon energy far more effectively than his own body.    So it just absorbs Joseph’s attacks and disperses the energy harmlessly away.
Does it really have to be made of dead bugs?   I feel like Tonpetti just told him that as a prank.   “No, really (snort!) the only thing that works is dead bugs.  (tee-hee!)   It smells awful but you have to wear it (ha!).”
Tumblr media
But Joseph has his own tricks, like... putting a dozen grenades on his opponent’s back when he isn’t looking!  Seriously, there was zero opportunity for him to do this.    One moment he steps over Straizo’s body to see if he’s still alive, and the next moment he supposedly planted all these things on his scarf.   I get that he could pull a string connected to the pin without being noticed, but that’s the only part that makes sense about this.   It’s still awesome, though.   If Jonathan had access to explosives, Part 1 would have been a lot shorter.
I really think this was the battle that set the tone for Stand Battles in later Parts.   Araki loves these off-panel tricks in combat, and they’re a lot easier to explain when all of your characters have magic super powers.   If Joseph had Hermit Purple in this fight, there’d be no problem at all.   He could just use Hermit Purple to snake through the ventilation shafts and hook up all the grenades.   In fact, it’s tempting to suggest that Joseph was unconsciously using Hermit Purple throughout Part 2, but I don’t want to get into that right now.
Tumblr media
Anyway, explosions don’t stop vampires any more than machine gun fire.   Straizo’s body is in pieces, but the pieces just slither back together and regenerate.   Wait, wouldn’t his head have been vaporized in that blast?   Also, Straizo spends the rest of this battle in the nude, so we know that stupid scarf is out of the equation.   Why didn’t Joseph just go back in the cafe and finish Straizo off while he was still in pieces?
Again, it’s easy to say “lol Araki forgot”, but I think it’s a lot more sensible to suggest that Joseph forgot.   As clever as he is, he went in with the Ripple, a machine gun, and a dozen grenades, and Straizo had an answer to all three.   He doesn’t want to press the attack because he’s out of tricks.   All he’s got left is another Hamon attack, which means Straizo will see it coming.   Or he’s still worried about the scarf, and hasn’t realized that it’s gone now.    In any event, he’s running away, creating some distance before Straizo can make his next move.
Tumblr media
Also, there’s a lot of bystanders gathering around, so it makes sense to take the fight elsewhere.   Some guy named “Bruty” tries to stop Joseph to impress his girlfriend, but that backfires spectacularly.  Was Bruty in the anime?  I feel like he wasn’t, but I don’t want to check.
The one I do remember is this girl photographer.   Spider-Man hadn’t been invented yet, so in those days photographers just sort of wandered around with their camera, waiting for Spidey to debut.   This exploding vampire diner is the best she could do in 1938.
I just really like this lady.   There’s a spark in her eye and I just assumed she would end up being Joseph’s love interest by the end of the story.    Well, we’ll get to that.
Tumblr media
Instead, she’s a hostage.  Joseph and Smokey run to the Brooklyn Bridge?   I guess?   It’s a bridge, I’m sure of that much.   Anyway, Straizo catches this lady and takes her with him to intercept them.   He threatens to kill her unless Joseph faces him again.   But Straizo offers to spare Joseph and never trouble him again if Joseph runs away.   This is because Straizo figures that if Joseph chickens out now, then he’ll never be a threat to Straizo in the future, no matter how powerful his Hamon abilities become.
Joseph tries to call his bluff, but then Straizo rips out one of the girl’s teeth to prove he means business, and Joseph gets furious all over again.  I don’t think he was ever planning to abandon this fight, but he was probably hoping to get Straizo to give up his hostage at least.   Now he’s just pissed, and Straizo is impressed.  Joseph tries to act cool, but he just can’t hide his passionate feelings.    This is in stark contrast to Jotaro, who wagered his own soul in a poker game and bluffed his way to victory.
Tumblr media
So Straizo tries again with the Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, but this time Joseph blocks it with two shot glasses charged with Hamon power, and then he lands the decisive blow.   But before Straizo dies, Joseph demands to know why Straizo dumped Speedwagon and the others in the river.   Not only does Joseph want to give him a proper burial, but he doesn’t understand why Straizo would have dumped them in the river, since that was how Joseph knew to expect him.
Wait, I thought Straizo wanted Joseph to know he was coming.   Oh well.
Anyway, Straizo explains that he had to do it, because the Pillar Man was absorbing the blood from his victims.   Straizo was worried that the Pillar Man might awaken, so he put them in the river instead to be safe.    Nevertheless, he suspects that the Pillar Man will reawaken eventually anyway, and Straizo now realizes that it will be Joseph’s destiny to face him some day.    Then Straizo just uses the Ripple one last time, and self-destructs.
It always seemed strange to me that Straizo saw the danger of the Pillar Man and just left things the way they were.   Maybe he planned to deal with him later, or maybe he just didn’t know or care about it until Joseph defeated him, and he felt a moral obligation to warn someone.
I guess he could have destroyed the Pillar Man like Speedwagon wanted him to do in the first place, but it seems like Straizo didn’t realize that blood would wake him up until after he was already a vampire, and unable to use the Ripple.  For that matter, it remains to be seen if Hamon will work on Pillar Men.
Tumblr media
Anyway, what else is going on?   Oh, yeah, Europe is getting closer and closer to World War II.   The official start of the war is usually considered to be September 1, 1939, but Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935, and Japan invaded China in 1937, and Germany annexed Austria and conquered Czechoslovakia in 1938, the year Battle Tendency is set.  So we’re in this weird time period where there’s Nazis in the story, and the British-American protagonist doesn’t care for them, but isn’t trying to kill them on sight.   I’ll be coming back to this topic later on.
I think the main reason for including Nazi Germany in this story was to draw parallels between their goals and those of the fictional villains.    The Nazis believed themselves to be the “Master Race”, the most “evolved” people, and this made them worthy to rule the world.   Araki notes that they turned to all sorts of sci-fi/occult/fantasy stuff in their war.   Similarly, you have villains like Dio and Straizo turning to mysterious Stone Masks for spooky powers, and then you have the Pillar Man himself, who apparently sought the means to “befriend the sun” and rule over the world.    So the Nazis fit into this theme of trying to claim some sort of supremacy over other beings.
Tumblr media
But what’s their role in this story?   Well, the Germans have an “information base” in Mexico, run by a guy named Stroheim.   He makes pretty ladies shave him with a straight razor, and if he gets a nick he makes them lick the blood off, and then he threatens to cut off their tongues.   Also, he trained his dog to not eat treats until given permission. He’s a sick fuck, is my point.
Tumblr media
Wait, no, my point was that his staff discovered the bodies that Straizo dumped in the river, including Speedwagon, who’s still alive, somehow.      I guess Straizo was going to finish him off but he got in a hurry when he saw the Pillar Man absorbing the blood from the others.  Not sure how Speedwagon survived that ordeal, but Stroheim’s men have been taking care of him this whole time, and he was unconscious until recently, so it might have been touch-and-go for a while.
Tumblr media
            Back in New York, Joseph doesn’t know what this is all about, but he decides to go to Mexico himself to get to the bottom of it...

Apart from Jotaro and Kakyoin (unfortunately) what are your other favourite jojo ships? I’d love to know
OHHHH POST YOUVE OPENED A CAN OF FUCKING WORMS LET ME GO OFF
i have a disease that makes me invested in the joestars’ happiness to an absurd level so bc of that a lot of ships i enjoy involve,,,one joestar,,,but there r others i swear let me just start rantingi
jonaeriwagon is soooooo so so cute it involves the most wholesome and purehearted jojo characters and it makes me smile so wide. erina and jonathan r childhood sweethearts and erina helped jonathan back on his feet after he lost EVERYTHING in the first fight against dio at the mansion. jonathan and speedwagon are best FRIENDS OKAY!! SPEEDWAGON LITERALLY CHANGES HIS ENTIRE WALK OF LIFE BECAUSE OF JONATHAN AND THE KINDNESS HE SHOWED HIM. i know erina and speedwagon didn't interact a whole lot in part 1 but like they're BEST. FRIENDS. in part 2, so much so joseph thought something was going on between them. i bring this up bc then it’s proof that this ship is full of ppl who just care for each other so much. they just adore each other and love each other and I'm crying
caejoseq is my FAVVV OKAY they're so stupid and in love. i love love love love imagining caesar and suziq falling in love slowly when he’s first training as lisalisa’s student and like they never do anything about it cause they're both so shy (yes caesar is shy bc these feelings r more genuine romance rather than sexual, unlike his other flings) but it’s obvious enough they both understand to a degree the other knows they like them sjkd;dn cuties. but then JOSEPH BARGES IN with his stupid hamon-breathing mask and his stupid blue-green eyes and his stupid lax personality combined with the moments he takes thing seriously during which is works hard as fuck/smart as fuck. he just completely sweeps them off their feet they had no fuckin warning whatsoever. so after a bunch of messy and intense pining from the both of them they eventually sit down and are like okay. we should do smth about feelings actually. so they Do and it ends with the polycule and I'm (”: smiling so wide they loved each other do u understand
AVPOL!! DO NOT GET ME STARTED OKAY it’s the survivor’s guilt and cherishing and longing for me sis!!!!!! I'm just saying both have pasts (araki said avdol’s backstory was so sad he didn't wanna put it into sdc so that’s where I'm drawing this from) that leave them focused on things other than their direct happiness/their own futures but then they connect and even though they're so fucking different they are SOOO different they're still the same on this level and i think!!! that would be everything for them finally someone who understands...listen I'm ging to go insane do you hear me. avdol loves this stupid fucking Frenchman so much because said stupid fucking Frenchman just cares so much about everything. meanwhile polnareff is in love with this fuckin god of a man who’s patient and kind and funny and a skilled enough fighter it’s stated explicitly in canon “oh avdol’s the one we need to worry about most not jotaro” like fuck polnareff is ENAMOURED WITH HIM!! AND I DONT FUCKING BLAME HIM!! and just dude. when pol thinks avdol came back to life and he starts crying tears of joy and hugs him so tightly and avdol just laughs but hugs him back imfmfjfj help. help. help. help. help. POLNAREFF LITERALLY ASKS HIM OUT ON A DATE THIS IS FUCKIN!!! CANON!!! i cant do this stupid fuckign idiots i love them
JOSUYASU!!!!!! TWO GUYS BEIGN DUDES WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT??? like listen we have such a SLEW of wholesome moments between these two the opening to the tonio episode is literally just them going on a date OKUYASU WAS GONNA FEED JOSUKE AND JOSUKE DIDNT EVEN FUCKING QUESTION IT OKAY THAT’S KINDA GAY THAT HAS ROMANTIC FUCKING UNDERTONES!! and them fighting against shigechi idk man i just love their dynamic it’s such a pleasant bro relationship and i love them. but even beyond the wholesome moments when okuyasu fucking dies josuke loses his SHIT!!! DO YOU HEAR ME HE GOES FUCKIGN INSANE!!!!! HE’S SCREAMING AND CRYING AND BEGGING OKUYASU TO WAKE UP AT THE EXPENSE OF HIS LIFE FUCKIGN HAYATO HAD TO SHRIEK AT HIM TO MOVE HIS ASS OUT OF THE WAY OF KIRA’S BOMB LIKE!! listen the recklessness and furiousness of josuke’s tactics after okuyasu “”died”” haunts me. he didn't want to live in a world without him and meanwhile okuyaus LITERALLY TRIUMPHS OVER DEATH BECAUSE HE DOESNT WANT TO LEAVE JOSUKE’S SIDE HELP ME GIRL FJKF;NDJN FUCK. fuck. so yeah i lvoe them
fugionara... any combination of this ship makes me go nuts okay okay. the dynamics in the bucci gang will forever leave me in tatters but THE ONES BETWEEN THESE THREE IN PARTICULAR. FUCK ME UP. it’s the healing it’s the animosity it’s the regret it’s the trying to figure out your own mentally ill self while also the world ur in with these ppl u love so much and I'm going crazy okay okay okay. idk how to quite put my feelings for them in worlds i just have a lot of them and they are fuckin. overhwelming. just narancia for example meant EVERYTHING to fugo as evidence by purple haze feedback (literally every other paragraph is a flashback) and the only time giorno cries in the anime is when narancia dies. meanwhile fugo saved narancia’s life and giorno knew when to take narancia seriously as opposed to a joke. and then THE WHOLE DISCUSSION ABOUT GRIEF FUGO AND GIORNO HAVE IN PURPLE HAZE FEEDBACK? listen something about these three make me go insane and feral
foolymes like okay. okay. I'm shaking like a dog trying not to go overboard on this justification just listen to me. hermes and jolyne first find someone to trust in prison in each other. jolyne cares abt her enough that she first learns how to use stone free’s string-on-a-telephone ability bc she wanted to watch over hermes. hermes loves nd respects jolyne that after she wakes up from getting a stand shes like “hm. wonder where jolyne is” and goes to find her before all that bullshit happened just hey okay LISTEN TO ME!! and then they get foo they save her it’s just like fucking kakyoin they give her another chance and they show her what relationships are supposed to be like (fulfilling) they enjoy her company and make her laugh and she makes them laugh in return ohmy god EVERYTHING FOO FIGHTERS DID WAS FOR JOLYNE AND HERMES DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!!! the marilyn mansion debt collector arc. the kiss of love and revenge arc. foo fighter’s death. I'm going to eat rocks in an attempt to stop feeling oh my god JOLYNE DIDNT EVEN BELEIVE FOO FIGHTERS WAS DYING AND THEN SHE GOT HYSTERICAL LIKE “BUT WE CAN JUST REMAKE YOU RIGHT WE HAVE YOUR STAND DISC??” SHE DOESNT WANT HER TO GOOO HELP ME HELP ME. I'm in tatters these three girls loved each other so fucking much they just wanted each other safe and they DESERVED to be safe and happy together but araki is fucking evil
jotaweather I KNOW THIS IS A CRACK SHIP I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW DONT FUCKIGN LOOK AT ME JUST HEAR ME OUT. jotaro and weather r both of similar demeanor that is quiet soft-speaking intimidating strong big aura of sadness coming from them. both have powerful stands and both had real fucked up luck in the love department. i also hc both to be autistic so that’d be another similarity. i jus think them settling down together after everything went down in a stone ocean au would be very soft and sweet yknow? they wouldn't even necessarily start it off in a romantic sense but they just take the time to try and heal with each other and eventually it just kinda veers that way. yeah
gyjo for OBVIOUS reasons like are you serious? gyro changed johnny’s fucking lfie from the SECOND they first interact johnny begins to push himself and tries to reach further/go further. and in turn johnny shows gyro you cant always be a wet blanket you need to take a stand this both helps his resolve to save the kid AND helps him to take the measures necessary to get to his goal. like gyro would not have been able to find johnny in the “who shot johnny joestar?” arc if he hadn't gone through, say, the ring roadagain arc with johnny first. listen man their relationship is literally the catalyst for this whole part it’s the driving force i just. they love each other they love each other thank you goodnight I'm emo
yasugap is just so so so so sweet it makes me so happy,,like okay josuk8 literally has a daydream where all that happens is he gives yasuho some candy and she eats it and is like “aw josuke this is so good thanks!” and she smiles at him and that’s IT THAT’S THE DAYDREAM 😭 listen they just love each other so much and i am emo. they literally SAVED EACH OTHER OKAY LIKE yasuho pulls him from the dirt and like she mentioned during the flashback chapter with the hairpin and her dad, it was also the other way around....saving josuke also saved herself and just LISTEN TO ME. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER. it’s a very sweet and healthy relationship and i hope to god araki makes it canon please sir ill bite you
anyway yeah these are the main main ones ? that i ship ship. like you'll get me excited if u mention them. anyway this post has gone on long enough so I'm gonna end it here by saying i really do have a thing where the relationship focuses on healing/helping one or both parties to save/improve themselves

Ever notice how similar Kakyoin and Rohan's (sassy) attitudes are? Araki said in an interview that Kakyoin would have gotten along better with Josuke than with Jotaro. Do you think Kakyoin would have been friends with Rohan despite his annoyance towards Josuke?
Tumblr media
he would try to get along with both of them :P

A (sizeable) rant/essay concerning my experiences in the Tumblr JJBA fandom.
None of you asked to hear this, but I’m getting pretty pissed off at some people in particular (I will not name names, though I may heavily implicate some people) and it’s finally started to kinda spill over. So I’m letting it spill; take it or leave it.
I’m... Fairly irate at the moment, and writing out my feelings does tend to help me calm down in situations like this, so if I was going to put this anywhere the best place for it is probably on the public internet. Again, take it or leave it: this is the internet, you don’t have to interact with me if this concerns you or your ideals. Just click that handy little block button on my profile and you never have to see little Nat mouthing off again.
If you want me to summarise (I know not everyone wants/is able to read a fluffed-up pillar of text) or explain my reasoning behind anything I’ve said below the cut, feel free to direct message me here or on Discord @nati bati yi#1462. Once I get this off my chest I’ll be more than willing to chat to people about it. <3
(Before I say anything else, this is not intended to be a callout in any way, shape or form. I don’t mention the specific names of anybody, and the actions I do mention here will only point to specific people if you know them too. Anyone on the outside should have zero idea of who anyone I bring up is; I do not want anyone to get harassed over this, and I very much do not want to start drama - that’s what inspired me to go off and write this hunk of garbage in the first place. I’m just... Sick to death of the fandom as a whole.)
Anyway. Here we go.
From what I’ve been able to tell, being in this fandom for just under a year now, there are two main halves to it: the gay-hating, stale-meme-parroting dudebro side, who seem to mostly congregate around YouTube and Reddit, and... Whatever the side based on Tumblr (and probably now Twitter) is. I don’t spend a lot of time on Reddit, so naturally I’ve been more exposed to the Tumblr side of the fandom, and after experiencing the ideals some people here want to force on other people I’ve come to the conclusion I’d almost rather be immersed in the bigoted dudebro side. And I say this as an ace-spec/gay trans man.
I’ll start with the blocklist.
I think most of us on Tumblr came to the conclusion that the blocklist was utter bullshit, but I did see a few people in a Discord server I have since left (I will expand on this later) defending the reasoning behind some ships being on there, citing the fact they had been abused in a relationship with a similar age gap. I can definitely see why that would bother a person, and I do not want to erase the fact that people have been and will be abused in similar relationships, but you can’t project your singular experience onto every fictional, non-canon character relationship and every person who ships it. For one, not every relationship is going to turn out the same just because it meets this one criteria of “the age gap is too big”, and, also, you don’t have to write fiction to totally reflect reality. You are in full creative control. Maybe if the characters were real people they wouldn’t click, but if you’re drawing a picture or writing a fanfic you don’t have to go along with that. You can write them so that they’re good to each other, while still keeping it in character. Araki has said that Jotaro and Kakyoin’s personalities don’t work together very well, and that they wouldn’t have become friends or even spoken to each other if Jotaro wasn’t a Stand user... But Jotaro/Kakyoin just happens to be the most-written about JJBA ship on AO3. Me? I love Jotakak. It’s about the only thing I do ship. And I’ve read some quite frankly amazing fanfiction where the two boys are paired and they work together, and it’s still very much in character. Of course, I’m very much against loli/shota content or content depicting characters who don’t look very old- if someone drew Koichi in a sexual situation I would be pissed as all hell, but I don’t have to engage with that content any further. I can just filter out the tag/block the OP and move on. You don’t need to make a fuss and tell/imply to people that they are paedophilic for enjoying well-written content where a 17-year-old is in a healthy relationship with a 22-year-old, platonic or otherwise.
My second point brings in some of the things I’ve learned while studying media this past year. My main point here: not everyone in an audience is the same. There is a reason differential decoding and the uses and gratifications theory exist. The uses and gratifications theory states, at its most basic, that the audience of a media text is active, not passive; i.e. they are not just absorbing every piece of data thrown at them by the text they are consuming, and they are consuming different media to satisfy a need- for JJBA, that need could be entertainment, escapism, identifying with a character similar to yourself or to give you something to talk about with your friends. Differential decoding arises when someone consuming a piece of the media does not entirely go along with the creator’s preferred reading of it- an example might be how a sizeable amount of people enjoy villainous or “disgusting” characters such as Dio, Cioccolata, Stroheim or Melone, when they were clearly written in canon to be abhorrent, unlikable people for varying reasons. I can also say that, because the audience is active, and consume media based on their personal needs, that somebody writing fanfic of a ship you don’t like isn’t going to make incest or paedophilia more socially acceptable. I don’t consume that content, because I don’t feel the need to. Sure, real paedos might, but they’re a minority. Just because a couple hundred people or so read a fanfic on the free web where a grown adult does the dirty with a little kid, doesn’t mean to say everyone in the world will suddenly start thinking it’s ok. Mention it to any sane person in real life and they will not like that idea any more than you do.
And my third point is more a personal thing than anything else, but there is a community I used to be part of (and was part of almost from the beginning) where I didn’t feel welcome because of people causing drama over things like what I mentioned above. I started multiple discourses entirely by accident by saying I didn’t understand why everyone though X ship was horribly problematic and worth getting mad at people over. I still don’t feel like anyone deserves to be harassed over characters and ships they enjoy, but that doesn’t mean to say I support all of it. Along with generally feeling ignored by a lot of the moderators of that server, as well as their friends, I was just sick to death of how they seemed to single out some certain people to say, “hey, don’t do this” when other people seemed exempt. I was verbally warned for posting innuendos in a general chat (but it’s not like I could anywhere else on the server, because I’m not 18 yet), but at least once every day I would see two people flirting in-character in whatever channel they happened to meet in, and it never seemed to be in a roleplay channel- I couldn’t see into NSFW to check if they did it there too, but the fact it would leak out into gen concerned me. They would throw innuendo after innuendo at each other, and they never seemed to stop, or be told to stop. Yes, I could have messaged the moderators to say it made me uncomfy, but one of them was a moderator themselves, so I felt a little out my element doing so.
Another thing that bothered me is when I tried to join an offshoot of that server for kin, and the admin - I assume - of said offshoot server messaged me (with some other conversation concerning it in between) that, despite the fact I only wanted in to help me figure out what it meant to me, I wasn’t allowed in because somebody was uncomfy with doubles. I completely understand that, but I had spoken to the only person it could have been (I wasn’t given a name, but it wasn’t difficult to figure out who it was) multiple times about that character and how similar we were- hell, we had even roleplayed together as doubles of that character and no problems were ever expressed to me. If anything it seemed like we left off in a spot we could have carried on from later. It might not have been intended that way, but being told I wasn’t allowed in there made me feel excluded from the community nonetheless, especially because I’d had a few people tell me the night before that they wanted more people in there and that I’d be totally welcome. I was also told, before any of this happened, that the same person blocked a friend of mine in another server for going on a small rant about how they didn’t like the way Josuke acted in the episode where he plays dice with Rohan and ends up burning his house down, because they kin Josuke..? At least, that’s what was relayed to me.
But, hey ho, it’s all behind me now. I won’t lie; I don’t really plan on ever going back. I don’t want to engage anymore, because it makes me uncomfortable and anxious thinking about it, so I most likely will unfollow most (if not all) of the blogs pertaining to that community tonight. I do have a few people still there who I miss speaking to, but I’ve DM’d all of them on Discord at least once since I’ve left and talked to them about either how I miss them or something entirely unrelated to the server. I’d like to talk more with them, but DMs are always awkward for me to begin with... I have a feeling they might not want to talk after reading this, and I think I’m ready to accept that? Might be difficult not being able to scream about fanfic as much, but I won’t impose on anyone if my presence makes them uncomfy. I don’t want to be that guy.
I’ll say it again: now that I’ve got this off my chest and subsequently calmed down a lot, I’m more than willing to talk about any of it. Just shoot me a message on Discord and I’ll reply when I’m able and feeling up to talking about it again. For now I’m probably just going to go back to pissing about on Flight Rising or play Smash or something

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) what’s a Hot Take you have about your f/o?
: JOTARO AND HIM ARE NOT LOVERS. BARELY EVEN FRIENDS AND IM SICK OF PEOPLE THINKING THAT JUST BECAUSE HE IS A BEAUTIFUL BISHI BOY. IT PISSES ME OFF!
2) on what do you disagree with other fans of your f/o?: *cracks knuckles*
• He isn't some uwu sweetie nwice boy. He is a sweetheart,yes. He is kind,yes. But he aint a pushover and isn't some fragile wallflower. He isn't a crazy gremlin. But he can get pretty weird at times. But that's just how he is.
• He isn't some kind of weak,sad baby, either. He is human just in the same. He has complex emotions too people.
• Again i don't see him and jotaro together romantically and barely even platonically. They hardly interact and araki stated they didn't really get along and if it wasnt for the fact they are both stand users,they wouldn't even bother helping each other. It doesn't mean they don't care about each other. But no more than anyone else who cares for a fellow human being. Like it's in a general sense not a "besties ol pal of mine" sense. Kakyoin was bffs with polnareff more. Jotaro was more just focused on saving his mothers life. Like fr fr.
• Kakyoin isn't a milf hunter. He said "SOMEONE WHO IS KIND LIKE JOTARO'S MOM NOT JOTAROS MOTHER HERSELF!!! HE DIDN'T WANT HER. HE ONLY WANTED SOMEONE WITH A PERSONALITY LIKE HERS,AKA KIND,SWEET,GENTLE,AND SOMEONE WHO CAN PUT HIM AT EASE. AKA A LOVER WHO MAKES HIM FEEL COMFORTABLE TO BE AROUND." Okuyasu is the real milf hunter because he flat out called josuke's mom hot. Granted a lot of people did. But oku legit was eyeing his momma. So fans can miss me with that horsecrap.
• Kakyoin is a gamer. An artist. And is a leo. Leos don't all love the spotlight. They aren't all egotistical. And some are just chill. Sure maybe they want the attention of the special someone in their life. But thats bout it. And im kinda sick of people thinking that. But araki also didn't think bout astrology well because it was an afterthought. Some of his stuff dont add up with some characters. Sorry not sorry.
• KAKYOIN'S NOT THE FATHER/MOTHER OF JOLYNE. SO FUCKING SICK OF PEOPLE THINKING THAT JUST BECAUSE HER STAND IS STRING POWERS. GOOD FUCKING CHRIST! stand sometimes have the same powers. Don't make you related you dumba$$es. God. Some people are so fucking annoying.
3) did you used to ship your f/o with anyone before realizing you wanted to ship them with yourself ?: no. And never will.
4) do you feel like you have to defend your f/o all the time?: yes. I kinda kin with kakyoin too. So this extra pisses me off
5) what’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard about your f/o, either on the internet or irl?: That he was r*pe by dio. That pissed me off. Like wtaf would you even want that hc?!!!! That's awful. Ooc for even dio. And traumatizing for people in general. Anyone who agrees with that hc can fuck off into hell!
6) what are some tropes that fan art of your f/o tends to follow?: too many and a lot are painful to look at.
7) did your f/o deserve better?: YES
8) do you even like the source your f/o comes from or do you only watch it for them & nothing else?: yes i do. But some shit isn't well written.
9) do you distance yourself from other fans of your f/o or their source?: sometimes but more so with this character.
10) how did you feel when you realized “oh of course i had to like That Character”?: well i just thought oh shit. His stand is cool. He's pretty. And oh shit he shares the same sign.... crap and some personality. Well crap.
11) do you think it’s better to have a copious amount of content for your f/o, even with the risk of finding a lot of ship art, or better to have a lot less?: sometimes
12) aren’t you tired of being nice? this is an excuse to rant.: *breathes in*
I just find it funny how fans seem to take one sweet,cute nerdy weirdo bishi boy. And try to make him their bitch whipping boy for wank material.
They never do this with josuke. And he's waaaaay more fucking queer. No offense. (Tho i still dont ship him with his best okuyasu. Because i see them like family and i finally get non toxic men bonding and being friends and y'all kinda fuck that up by shipping them together sorry. I just see them as friends and fam for each other)
Why?
Why kakyoin?
Why can't y'all leave him alone?
Kakyoins a cool guy. Who doesn't deserve this crap. He barely got any love in canon. So why do fans treat him like this?
Also sorry not sorry. Jotok*k shippers can legit fuck off.
I'd rather sniff jalapeno juice and suffer through that pain then deal with them for 2 seconds.
If you had the ability to bring back 4 dead jojo characters, who would you choose and why?
Jonathan for sure, mainly because it’s a crime he is such a good boy and definitely the best Jojo (behavior wise) I would have loved to watch his entire lineage succeed him and see his stand.Kakyoin is a favorite for all the right reasons serving as a close friend to Jotaro in Part 4 would have been great. Not to mention Araki himself said that he and Josuke would be friends.Abbachio and Narancia they were such good boys...I’d say Bruno too but you only said 4. Narancia at least who did NOT deserve it (this was the hardest death for me honestly) DID NOT DESERVE.
A very long post on my onions about JJBA
I am completely caught up with the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga. Took me two weeks to do it. But my brain hasn’t been up to reading novels/novellas since concentration whomst? Once the semester starts, I tend to read more comics than novels just because of time constraints. I am still on Part 3 of the JJBA anime. It’s an anime that I just can’t binge because it is a lot. I really like JJBA because it takes the shonen fighting manga and just turns it into a fever dream. So below is my thoughts on Parts 1-8, includes many a spoiler. Also as it goes on I get more sweary sorry.
Part 1: Phantom Blood
Not my favorite arc, but it is the first part so I feel it doesn’t have the same level of writing/art as the next parts because Araki is starting out. It’s pretty tightly written and straight forward. Jonanthan is my least favorite Jojo. I think my main problem with this part is the assertion that Dio is evil due to the abusive environment he grew up in. That’s pretty much what I can say about Part 1.
Part 2: Battle Tendency
Part 2 is more complex and the characters have more growth than those in Part 1. I enjoy Joseph as a protagonist since he is a good combo of little shit and dumb teenager. The enemies to friends arc with Caesar is great. Throw two dramatic bitches together and the chaos that ensues is fun. I really liked that the best user of haman is a woman because the previous part was pretty dude heavy. Liz Lisa is on the fine line between fan service and sexy. But the fanservice doesn’t happen during fighting so I can forgive Araki on certain parts. The thing about Part 2 that really stands out to me is the expansion of the worldbuilding. It doesn’t feel overwhelming and fits neatly into the narrative. My other thought is that Araki just likes drawing asses.
Part 3: Stardust Crusaders
Oh boy, so this is where I start to have a lot more onions. Everything I knew about JJBA before watching/reading was that there was this thing called a stand and everyone was gangsters. So when I started JJBA I was like tumblr lied to me what the hell is going on. Unlike Joseph in Part 2, Jotaro is just an asshole, a well meaning asshole, but still an asshole. Through this entire arc, Jotaro literally does not grow as a character unlike Part 2 with Joseph which is super frustrating. In Part 2, Joseph goes from cocky punk kid to more responsible and level headed kid with self discipline. Jotaro’s fighting ability literally gets no training whatsoever compared to Joseph. In the 45 days that the plot takes place, I would have thought that Avdol would have at least did some sort of training since he is the most experienced stand user. But nope that sure didn’t happen. The bickering between Joseph and Jotaro is enjoyable and the side characters are good humor relief. I think that’s where my frustration is -- Kakyoin and Polnareff have more character development than Jotaro does. Polnareff is in many ways a foil for Jotaro in that he ACTUALLY learns to accept help and so on.
Things I did like was the introduction of stands. Thought there could have been better explanation but it’s JJBA so you know it’s going to not be there or it will be there eventually. I think this arc has ok writing but Part 2 was more solid.
Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable
I really liked this part. It was more of a slice of life comic with mayhem. I felt that compared to Part 3, Part 4 does a better job with depicting teenagers. Josuke and his friends are literally dumbasses 80% of the time and Koichi has their one brain cell most of the time. Part 4 also dives much deeper into the origins of stands as well.
What I liked was how the mystery parts of the comic were interspersed with the comedy parts. The previous arc was pretty straight forward without much diversion to have more insight into the characters. Part 4 is much more focused on relationships and has a psychological bent to the story. Unlike until the end of Part 3, Josuke and friends work as a team very quickly. The other part that I liked was the incredibly awkward Joestar family reunion.  Part 4 just has the most depth for me out of all the parts so far.
The other part that I liked was the evolution of stands -- that some stands can grow and others have remote abilities and so forth.
My biggest beef with this part is Araki totally doesn’t understand how graduate school works. Like ok first off, why the hell did Jotaro choose to do marine biology?? Want some background on that which we never get. When Jotaro is introduced, his specialty is whales and sharks (which i am sure he punched a shark at some point) but then at the end Araki decides that Jotaro’s doctoral work is on starfish? Um like ok what the fuck here. That’s a HUGE jump to do in academia in terms of changing your study organism. Like for me jumping from lepidoptera to hymenoptera was incredibly painful and that’s just WITHIN one ORDER (insects). Here Jotaro is jumping PHYLUMS. The other thing is that it takes uuuuh 6 years max to do your doctorate. So idk how Jotaro is able to do his entire dissertation in 3 months. It’s taken me two and a half years just to get my experiments done for my master’s degree. My advisor has given me two months to write my thesis, BUT I ALREADY HAVE MY DATA???? Jotaro would have had to collect all the data and speed write and I have no fucking clue how the hell he would even pass the defense even if he wasn’t also investigating a serial killer. Pretty sure the whole marine biology thing is just a cover so he has jstor access for everything related to stands.
Part 5: Golden Wind
I didn’t expect to like this arc. But I did. It’s the arc that tumblr spoke of. First off, it has the perfect balance of dumbass to incomprehensible. Part of why I like JJBA is that you can see Araki’s art evolution and this is the first arc where he has completely gone from ripped as fuck dudes to twinks. That being said this is the arc that has the first plot hole and I only have a few theories as to why. It starts with Jotaro sending Koichi to Italy to investigate Giorno who is Dio’s biological son from his return in Part 3. This entire arc when I was live texting it to my best friend probably receives the most what the fucks in her replies. TD;LR: Giorno technically Joestar because Dio stole the body of Jonathan Joestar to make his comeback because you would think Araki for once has some somewhat reasonable biology here. Surprise fucker, Giorno’s hair turns blond once his stand ability awakens because he’s Dio’s son. So the whole Jotaro investigating Giorno thing is COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN. My only explanation is Koichi is like yeah he’s an idiot kid and I don’t think he’s going to be a problem or Polnareff calls up Jotaro and is like yeah I’m keeping an eye on this kid while haunting a magic turtle.
Which brings me to the most insane part of the whole arc, the GODDAMN TURTLE. As we learned in Part 3 with Iggy, animals can be stand users and there is this turtle that is a stand user. And basically Giorno and gang use this turtle to escort the boss’ daughter while plotting to take down the boss. There are so many fights over this goddamn turtle. Turtle does what turtle wants on top of it because it’s a fucking turtle. I just. The turtle. Then fucking polnareff dies and somehow manages to possess the goddamn turtle for almost a third of the arc???? And decides to keep hanging out in the turtle after everything is said and done as a fucking ghost. Like ok, I shouldn’t be like this is the most whack shit that’s happened in JJBA because there was an honest to god alien in Part 4.
Honestly this arc also had some great character arcs. I think that somehow each character manages to grow and confront their issues. Considering that Giorno is the son of Dio, he actually is a pretty good kid. Like I was going in expecting Dio Jr. Which thank god that was not the case because I would have been like Really? REALLY WE ARE DOING THIS AGAIN? I think my main complaint was Trish was pretty sexualized. She’s fucking 15, Araki, please let her have some more clothes.
I am kinda bummed that there is no crossover between Josuke, Jolyne, and Giorno because I think it would be pretty funny.
Part 6: Stone Ocean
I don’t know where the fuck to start with this one. First off, I am from Florida. I lived in Florida for 20 some years of my life. I grew up in Florida. The first fucking thing that this manga does is say that it’s set in/near PORT ST. LUCIE (PSL). I grew up in PSL. For the longest time, PSL was pretty much known for being a growhouse central because it’s a suburbia of maze like developments. Like I am pretty sure that Araki just took a dart and threw it at a map of Florida. BUT that being said, there are several marine biology/oceanography research institutions very close to PSL so I guess I could see it considering Jotaro is supposedly a professor of marine biology now (honestly I think he just fucks around with stand research instead).  Stone Ocean feels more like it’s set in Miami. It has that vibe. I have been to Miami one too many times and have nearly died in Miami (more than once). Stone Ocean is a literal fever dream for me. However, I enjoyed the hell out of it. It ranks up there with the one Sailor Moon arc where Luna has the crush on the astronaut’s boyfriend and there’s space shuttle shenanigans.
Oh and did I mention that Stone Ocean is set in 2011. This is kinda an important point since let me put some context to why half of this is me screaming. The space shuttle program ended in 2011. I saw the last shuttle return (I wasn’t able to see the launch because it was fucking crazy to even get a seat at the place I’d go watch it in PSL). ANYWAYS, let’s get on to this beautiful disaster trainwreck of an arc.
So first off, Jolyne is my favorite jojo. She’s a punk ass kid with a lot of issues. I was worried it would be endless fanservice, but actually stone ocean wasn’t too bad in that regard. Also part of Jolyne’s design features butterflies heavily so I’m like yeah this is my favorite (did I mention that I study butterflies, that I have lived, breathed, and eaten butterflies since I was 12? Ok i did eat a moth once but that’s another story). Also I thought Jolyne’s stand was really cleverly done (besides that I screamed that it had sunglasses). Jolyne gets framed for her shitty ex hitting a pedestrian which turns out to even be a whole set up. Fun fact, Jolyne’s shitty ex is from Palm Beach. The only thing you need to know about Palm Beach is that it houses Mar-A-Lago, yep that Mar-A-Lago. It’s full of rich white people. Which makes the whole boyfriend shit even funnier for me. Like I can already see how the fuck Jolyne and Romeo meet etc etc etc. Let’s just say the one high school the county over is notorious for the rich kids being absolute wankers (duis, drugs, the whole shebang) and I can fill in the blanks just from being from the area.
So it’s time to put Jotaro on blast again because he is such a fucking dick. He literally abandons Jolyne for 14 years. Jolyne is convinced that he doesn’t want her and hates her. She has every right to be angry with Jotaro. This goes back to Part 3 when I said that Jotaro literally has no character development, Jotaro still hasn’t learned a single fucking thing. He still thinks he has to do everything himself so that the people he cares about won’t get hurt. Which is partly a result of Part 3, but also he had the chance to overcome that misconception in Part 4? But he doesn’t? He like asks Josuke for help once and basically takes on the bulk of the investigation himself so Josuke and pals don’t get hurt/further involved. Jolyne eventually realizes that the reason Jotaro abandoned her is that she and her mom won’t get caught up in the stand bullshit etc and forgives him. Which like I can understand why she does that. But it’s an incredibly shitty excuse to sever all ties with your kid and divorce your wife just because you’re trying to protect your family. Like ok, I have a rough relationship with my family and it can be really, really hard not to forgive them if they suddenly start being good to you despite the fact they have hurt you so deeply and you just know it’s a bad idea to get back close to them because it’s only going to end badly. Anyways, Jotaro is a fucking dickweed.
The one thing that I really liked is how Jolyne’s determination brings other people closer to her. She’s a literal brick wall and just bulldozes through obstacles regardless of if it’s a good idea. She also will not abandon her friends. So Jolyne best jojo, fight me.
I can not believe that all of Dio’s kids except Giorno are Florida Men. I was like Araki it does not take 10 hours to get from PSL to Cape Canaveral and then I was like wait Jolyne has to fight a Florida Man like every 10 minutes so it does kinda make sense. The whole part in Orlando was like a fever dream. I lived in Orlando. When the mickey mouse shit started, I was like ofc there’s going to be a fight with The Mouse. You cannot enter Orlando without making a sacrifice to The Mouse.
I completely knew that the arc would climax at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) just because it was set in 2011. I was fucking screaming the whole way through the final fight at the KSC because I have been there like idk 5 times or so. Can you believe that you used to not have to go through a gate to get in to tickets? That was before 9/11. Now it’s not like that. Anyways it was pretty great.
I thought the ending was actually pretty satisfying considering the whole universe reset?
Anyways Araki delivered the fucking florida man experience so completely that I was happy. He literally managed to write the arc like a Carl Hiaasen or Tom Dorsey novel on crack (those two are the best known Florida novelists who write mystery/crime novels about Florida). When the Part 6 anime comes out I am going to be so ready.
Part 7: Steel Ball Run
Soooo this first arc of universe reset where everything is like do the Cupid Shuffle like 500 times while high as fuck. I think Part 7’s is weak compared to Part 4,5 and 6 in terms of writing BUT I was impressed by the originality of retelling of Part 1. I really liked the western bent to it. Also, I didn’t think that Araki could do completely new world building with stand origins without it being boring af. But he managed to make it really interesting and fucked up. I will put in a warning here: This arc isn’t great about race (not surprised at all), there is the magic cure for a disability trope (not a fan), and also sexual assault of a minor (really fucked up).
Instead of the haman or however the fuck it’s spelled, Zeppeli uses a power called the spin which is his family’s secret ability. Zeppeli enters the Steel Ball Run which is a transcontinental horse race with a reward of half a million bucks. Johnny Joestar, a disgraced jockey sees Zeppeli use the spin and enters the race despite being paralyzed waist down just to figure out how the fuck Zeppeli uses it. For the most part, the depiction of disability is pretty good until you know the magic cure trope (offensive to disabled people, I can go more into depth with this in a different post). Zeppeli and Johnny start out as rivals but then become good friends and the writing is so good. However, every fucking cover drawing of the two together by Araki is very homoerotic. I don’t know if Araki actually knows how gay his drawings are? Like from Part 1 onwards, they are like...gay. Dio is there and I was like ok he gonna be vampire again but nope DIO FUCKING GETS DINOSAUR POWERS???? LIKE HE CAN TURN INTO A GODDAMN UTAHRAPTOR?????????????????????????????????????
Steel Ball Run has several layers of plot which are masterfully tied together :  the actual race, Zeppeli’s past, Johnny growing as a character, and the holy corpse. The holy corpse shit was right up my alley as being someone who loves crack christianity stuff. Like ok, at first I was like yeah it’s a saint and then I was like oh it’s the virgin mary and then Araki fucking hinted throughout the second half of the plot it’s JESUS???? Anyways that was some wack shit. President Valentine was a really good villain by the way -- completely captures Murica fuckery.
I liked the addition of the fibonacci stuff/golden ratio in terms of maxing out stands/spin.
My main issue with this arc besides race and disability fails is the handling of Lucy. She’s 14 and Araki oversexualized her. Like goddamn it she’s a FUCKING CHILD. This arc is probably the worst in terms of its treatment of women. I was really pissed at the fact that Araki had Lucy graphically assaulted and raped. So beware of that. That is part of the reason as much as I liked the originality of Part 7, I can’t really rank it high on the quality of JJBA parts.
ANYWAYS ONTO PART 8
Part 8: JoJoLion
I am up to date as of August/September 2019 issue of the magazine JJBA is serialized in (I really want to say it’s Jump, but I’m probably wrong). This arc is really fascinating because it completely skips from the 1890s to the present day . There is the ties to Part 7 as that Johnny marries a Japanese woman whose family is a big part of this arc. It is set in Morioh like Part 4, but a Morioh completely shifted 180. It combines the story of a family curse, a man searching for his identity, and a conspiracy about these magical fucking fruit?
A college kid, Yasuho, pulls this dude out of the dirt at these weird formations in Morioh. The dude has no idea who he is and Yashuo names him Josuke. Note, the kanji for this Josuke are different than those for Josuke of Part 4. The Higashitika family that Yasuho is friends with takes Josuke in because he’s a stand user and he gets drawn into their shit while he tries to figure out who he is.
The twist with Josuke’s identity and past was like fucking mind blowning. Like did not see that one coming that he’s the fusion of Yoshikage Kira (who in part 4 was the villian but in this one is the Joestar son of Holly? Not a murderer?) and Josefumi Kujo (character design resembles Part 4 Josuke). The thing with this arc is that it’s this weird combo of part 3 and part 4 with new content and characterizations. So it’s on one hand familiar and on the other hand completely unfamiliar. It continues with the corpse stuff, but I’m not completely sure how the corpse ties into the plot with the fruit and the new villains-- The rock people. It has to do with the equivalent exchange concept which is threaded throughout this whole arc. But like how exactly besides how Johnny died in Japan? Is the corpse still there in Japan? Araki TELL ME.
Bonus: Little Jolyne Goes To Morioh Doujinshi.
I found this Doujinshi on Batato and there wasn’t an author or artist attached but holy shit it is the CUTEST thing. It’s basically about Jolyne meeting Josuke because Jotaro needs a babysitter. It’s a very short one Doujinshi and the last part is hilarious. Anyways highly recommend reading this one because it’s really cute.
DiU shigechi’s death
through out the jojo series araki hasn’t been afraid to kill off characters there's the zeppeli family curse, dogs related to the main casts, as well as allies and loved ones of the said casts, however none hit me as hard as shigechi. i’m not gonna sugar coat this. shigechi was short fat and weird looking, he was a bit of jerk for a bit and people really think he’s annoying.  what most people tend to forget was shigechi was a middle school child. shigechi was lonely not having really anyone but his parents and his stand. when he met josuke and okuyasu he was overjoyed at the thought of having them as friends and tried to give them half his money he collected. he’s naive and innocent. that moment yoshikage blew him up all he could think about was getting to josuke to get healed. not for himself but to protect his mother and father. the youngest person to die before shigechi was kakyoin but kakyoin was so calm cool and mature you could swear he was an adult. watching shigechi die was horrifying and upsetting. i would give rohan up to get an ending where shigechi lived
but i’m afraid this reaction is one only i have and understand
My girlfriend is getting into DIU and was enjoying it until meeting Yukako. Having a history of abuse, she imprinted a lot on Koichi and resented Yukako heavily as an abusive lover. After hearing that Koichi and her end up together, she feels sick and is describing the situation as a romantization of abuse. What can I say to help her, and what do you think of Yukako x Koichi?
Well, personally, Yukako/Koichi is one of my favorite relationships in Diamond is Unbreakable... though I understand where she’s coming from, because at first I felt pretty similarly. I was confused as to why Koichi would allow himself to get in a relationship with her again after the way she treated him at first.
I’m not sure this is something she’d like to hear, as I don’t know her and can’t really speak for her in terms of what she’s allowed to feel, but I find that an important part of DiU is in fact the ability to atone or redeem yourself for past actions. Okuyasu tried to kill Josuke. Rohan tried to kill Koichi and Okuyasu. This part is hugely about battling your own demons - and later in the part, Yukako does just that. I don’t know if her later arcs would be enough to change your girlfriend’s mind, as like I said, I don’t know your girlfriend nor can I speak with any authority on how she may feel about this character, but it is Yukako’s own kind of redemption arc.
So, as I said earlier, I was confused as to why Koichi would go back to Yukako, after being tormented by her the way that he was. But I think another great thing about DiU - and Jojo in general - is that second chances are an incredibly important theme throughout. Instead of forcing Koichi to love her the way she did in the first arc, she tries to change herself into someone Koichi would love and appreciate in the second one. Of course, that’s not healthy either, not by any stretch of the imagination, but I think we have to remember that these kids are all a bunch of 16 year-olds who have powers maybe not all of them should have, in a world that has suddenly become much more dangerous than before. In the end of her more “redeeming” arc, we see her humanized and we see that she’s an insecure girl who takes things too far. She is quite aware of how horribly she treated Koichi, and though it’s not directly said, it’s pretty easy to glean the information that she does feel guilty about what she did to him. In the end, it’s clear what she originally did was horribly, horribly wrong, and she won’t try to repeat those mistakes again.
Araki humanizes a lot of his antagonists, and in the end it’s usually the antagonists who become the main character’s best friend. Speedwagon was an antagonist, Kakyoin and Polnareff were both antagonists (though not of their own volition), Hol Horse was supposed to become one of the Crusaders (though that never panned out and he became more of a joke character), Okuyasu, Rohan, Yuya, yes, even Yukako, are all antagonists who became in some way helpful or dedicated to assisting Josuke. It is very common for characters who were once incredibly oppositional to the protagonist’s goal to help them out in the end.
I guess in the end it’s up to your girlfriend to decide how she feels. If she is still uncomfortable, that’s understandable. She has a history with abuse, and maybe a redemption arc for Yukako is not something she’s interested in seeing. She’s not obligated to like Yukako or even the Yukako/Koichi ship. In the end, their relationship is honestly not mentioned too often after they get together the second time. It’s more of a background thing, and more often than not the only time Yukako is even around is if the entire gang is there as a whole group.
Personally, I love Yukako, and I love her relationship with Koichi. While narratively I felt that the redemption arc went a little too fast, I think the important thing I got from it was that Yukako knew better than to hurt Koichi again, and was actively working to be a better person for his sake. Even if he wasn’t interested at all, she seemed pretty set on changing herself to be someone Koichi would be proud of.
Ahhh this got really long;; sorry about that! If you have any more questions or want clarification or maybe what I said just wasn’t enough, feel free to send in some follow-ups!
Thoughts on the “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” English dub. “Stardust Crusaders” episode two.
eh our new Narrator-chan is gonna get annoying fast
so I would say something about Jotaro sounding too old to be seventeen, but that is also true to his Japanese voice and I’ll be damned if I say something negative about Daisuke’s portrayal
I feel like him being Jotaro and Jyushimatsu epitomizes the duality of man
1:58 to get to the new material, everything else was recapped from episode one and also that pointless blurb they always did saying they aren’t depicting anyone real or fictional
okay so yes I do know calling it “pointless” isn’t totally accurate as apparently in Japan they have copyright laws where if say an anime parodied another anime and the people behind that show disliked it they can get it pulled (that happened to Osomatsu-san twice)
I call it pointless since in the end people changed various names in the English localization anyway
I had forgotten Jotaro lived in a traditional style house, guess that’s what happens when your mom is a weeb
sooooo....when is fandom going to address the fact that SDC Jotaro could be an asshole? he grows, he develops, he doesn’t stay this way forever, and I Get It ™. I get that he is someone who thinks his emotions are clearer than they are and I get that he is more of an person of action. rather than put things into words, I get that Araki wanted to make an amoral protagonist, I get why he’s like this and what The Point ™ is. but SDC Jotaro is still kinda an asshole when you first meet him. in fact to make it easier on myself when I first started exploring Jojo I code named them all and named him Asshole Jojo.
“a giant pain in my ass” so is this our replacement for “yare yare daze”? I mean I know its a phrase with no direct translation but I do hope they change it up since that will get redundant quick
again its canon all the Jojos are hot. which I know is awkward to say given Josuke and Giorno’s ages but its true. Jonathan and Joseph had love interests, Jotaro and Josuke and Gio were popular with girls, Jolyne had Anasui on her tit the entire time, Johnny had groupies, and Daiya was throwing herself at Gappy
“I’d be careful there No Boobs!” oh no she did not
“SHUT UP! YOU’RE FREAKING ANNOYING!” he isn’t wrong
Kakyoin that painting looks like the Clamp doujin
falling down a set of stairs with a mysterious leg wound and Jotaro still shows no emotion
Kakyoin is voiced by Kyle Hebert who was teen/adult Gohan in DBZ, Kiba in Naruto, and Aizen in Bleach
he sounds fine, but even being well acquainted with his Japanese voice part of me still expects Kakyoin’s voice to be higher than it is
5:13 and we finally have the intro
everyone loves Stand Proud and I don’t blame them though I think the second intro for SDC is superior
Kakyoin Jotaro’s leg is thicker than a tree, what makes you think that hankie will do anything?
“oh” “oh!” OOOH!” they ship it
“at that time I was very weak” you were a floating head
I like that Dio is...I don’t know what this is other than vaguely erotic, but he’s just doing this while rambling about how he needed Jonathan’s body
I like that Araki just ignored the lore of vampires having no reflection, I mean Dio needs to make sure he looks fabulous while he lays around all day avoiding child support
may as well say this now, some fans don’t understand why Dio was kept in shadows and I’ll offer my interpretation of it. I think Araki wanted to build up a mystique with the character as this is not the same Dio we were left with at the end of PB. Dio doesn’t do the most in SDC and spends much of it in shadows so that when he does make his big entrance and takes action we have all this built up tension
“GAAAH! Japanese coffee is absolutely vile!” “that’s American coffee”
Jotaro your pants are already ruined, unless the cut knee appeals to your aesthetic
I believe that message reads “Jojo I know you were having impure thoughts about Flipper. Rero.”
some might say its a plot hole that Kakyoin never uses this possession ability again
KER STAB
hey why is this gore still blacked out? this isn’t what I didn’t pay for
maybe when they eventually bring it to Blu-Ray we’ll have it uncensored
“hey, long time no see” this takes place over the coarse of one day
this pen wound should have left a scar, the skin around our eyes is very thin
SMOOCH
I like that Star Plat is able to hold Hierophant Green in its mouth
“so this is your Stand Kakyoin? this green stripey thing looks like a shiny melon” well yours looks like a wild berry pop tart
“and I’d like to know more about Dio myself” funny since sometimes I wish I knew less
EMERALD SPLASH
more like Belongs in the Trash!
also when are we gonna finally discuss that Star Platinum’s ability is...well its just the power of punching shit real good and then Le Big Ending gave it time stop but until then all it has is punching real good
gotta love Kakyoin reprimanding Jotaro like he spilled juice on the carpet
thinking of it now a lot of the Jojo Best Friends meet their respective Jojo by fighting them or serving an antagonistic position
“look no one ever said Jotaro Kujo was a nice guy” your fangirls and fanboys sure did
as badass as this monologue about true evil is, he kinda sounds like a pro wrestler a little
mmmm lavender Kakyoin
mmmm lemon Star Plat
ora ora ora confirmed
I think they kept this because ultimately if a Stand is saying it then it probably comes off like that’s just the sound they make though “ora” actually means something. it basically means “come on!” but in a “come at me bro” way not a “oh come on...” way.
I still worry about what they’re going to do with muda muda though
“I’ll teach you justice! with my Stand!” but Justice is Enya’s Stand
and its moments like this where I guess its best that Josuke got Crazy Diamond since Jotaro just up and left
ah the iconic photo of Jotaro where his hat isn’t morphed into his hair
and yes its hilarious that Jotaro was mindful enough of his culture’s tradition of removing one’s shoes before entering a home that he even removed Kakyoin’s
“hey, your looking a little bit pale this morning. you alright?” and in Jotaro’s head this probably sounds like “holy shit mom you look sick! please go lay down before I panic over your well being!”
also foreshadowing
the flesh buds always grossed me out
no Walk Like an Egyptian?
oh I guess that started with episode three
tune in next time where Jojo’s mom has got it going on and Dio is a neon knight
I dont know if this is a request a question or whichever but what would you call the sexiest things about the guys both physical and non-physical(you can make this a thing for the guys too if you want)
Say no more! Now’s my chance! I limited myself to one physical and non-physical thing that attracts me to these sexy boys! Thank you so much anon! I love you and my boys soooo much!
Jonathan:  Um everything? That’s cheating. No honestly I love Jonathan’s soft expression, for such a big guy he just has the most handsome and soft face. His morality and love for those around him is the most attractive about him.
Dio:  His eyes, honestly. I’m sure that was 100% intentional, I’m not big on eyes personally but Dio’s are 10/10. The sexiest thing about Dio to me is his demeanor. His charisma and the essence he gives off throughout every part he is a part of is honestly just so sexy. I don’t know why. What’s up with people making their villains sexy beasts? Huh?
Joseph: Lips, boi lips and more lips. He has the best and weirdest lips. (When I was watching battle tendency I was low key checking his lips out and then Suzie Q said something about it and I freaked out a bit, true story) The most attractive thing about Joseph non-physical is his intelligence, his intelligence more so when he grows up and matures. Like in Part 3 specifically. (Oldseph is the sexiest thing Araki has ever drawn)
Caesar: I like his hair. (Shoot me if you want but to me Caesar is the least attractive Jobro-I’m sorry. 14 year old me would have been all about him, when I was into blondes. ) I like Caesar’s dedication to Lisa Lisa. For a character that was kind of written to be a suave playboy he doesn’t treat Lisa Lisa like his “senpai” she’s a bad ass hamon user and a mother figure to him and he respects her so much!
Jotaro: Ooh this is a fine boy. I’d have to say I really like Jotaro’s voice (Daisuke Ono hello!) in addition to his facial structure. I like how Araki portrayed him in his style for Part 4. That hat makes him so much more attractive for some reason. (I don’t know what that says about me tbh) Personality wise I really love Jotaro’s calm demeanor, I thought he was just going to be an asshole but he’s silent and observant and weird and his progression as a person through Jojo’s is really fascinating.
Kakyoin: I dig Kakyoin’s entire design honestly, the shape and color of his eye’s are really cool. Kakyoin’s voice actor is pretty great too. Non-physical I like Kakyoin’s weirdness honestly I like how the fandom misinterprets him. I’m especially fond of shit-bag Kakyoin.
Josuke: That body oh my god. What I would pay for a boy with a body like that holy. Josuke is honestly my favorite Jojo for all kinds of reasons, but mostly physical. Josuke’s heart is great because it’s a nice spin on the delinquent with a heart of gold he doesn’t try to cover it up or anything he feels deeply and passionately and he makes sensitivity cool.
Okuyasu: I didn’t always think Okuyasu was a attractive but enough Josuyasu fanart made me completely change my mind. Okuyasu’s arms are mmmmm please strangle me levels of perfection. I love Okuyasu’s entire personality so much. My favorite thing though is how sad and emo his character could be but he’s just a silly teenage boy who plays pranks and loves his friends and ice cream.
Giorno: I like Giorno’s very feminine design. I like how such a thin soft looking boy wants to be a Mafia boss. It’s great. I really like how otherworldly Giorno feels in his part’s narrative. I don’t really know how to explain it without writing a book.
Mista: Mista is right next to Oldseph in terms of how much I love him. Mista is sexy and hilarious and great. I don’t know why I’m so attracted to him. It’s not really any one thing. Maybe it’s his skin tone or his lips or his weird eyelashes. I love Mista’s very welcoming and brotherly personality and how well he fits in Passione but also how he is such a badass. Everytime he does something I am screaming for my boy. (I will probably die when Part 5 is animated.) P.S his birthday is a day before mine ;_;
