Over the last week, I decided to go ahead with bookmarking all the fics I've recommended over the years on AO3 since I abide by tumblr poll results always (and man pour one out for all the fic that never made it to AO3 or has since been deleted, sooooo many gems lost to time!) and it was a bit more than the ~3,000 I was expecting:

Hopefully, this will be easier than browsing the hundreds of recs posts I've made, since you can filter for any of the author's tags now! These are mostly focused on Star Wars and DC fandom, but I did my time in the anime mines and occasional tours through some TV fandoms or movies. You can dig into everything unfiltered and start your own filtering, or the bigger fandoms you'll find:

MAJOR FANDOMS: Each of these should have 100+ at minimum and, in the case of Star Wars, literally almost half of them are in that fandom. Look, Star Wars fandom might be a trash fire in a lot of ways, but it is ON FIRE with some good fic. (Older bookmarks not guaranteed to match my current sentiments, especially re: the Jedi, but they did catch my fancy at that point in time!)

STAR WARS: - All Star Wars -OR- All Star Wars minus the Obi-Wan/Anakin ship - OR- Nothing BUT Obi-Wan/Anakin

BATMAN/DC: - DC can sometimes be tricky, but you can do a Batman* search and get most of them (though, sometimes Nightwing* or Young Justice* or Superman* will catch some of the others). Honestly, though, you might want to just do a search for what character or dynamic you like and have fun from there, because otherwise you're getting a face full of my Dick Grayson Is The Center Of The Universe And I'm Making That Everyone Else's Problem agenda. ;)

MARVEL/MCU: - Marvel* will probably get most of the various properties, though you may want to filter for Defenders* or Guardians of the Galaxy* if you're interested -OR- Marvel* without the Thor/Loki - These focus a lot on the Thor* fandom if you want to witness the results of like 8 years of constant voracious reading in that fandom (Minus the ship), because, seriously, I read a LOT of Odinson family fic. - Bonus, just do a search for Maximoff* to find some really good X-Men: First Class-verse because, listen, I have been ALL ABOUT the Maximoff twins since long before the movies or MCU brought them over and I will DIE ON THE HILL of "Marvel, make Magneto their bio-dad again or I'm never reading another comic of yours ever".

TOLKIEN/LORD OF THE RINGS/SILMARILLION/HOBBIT: - Tolkien* -OR- Hobbit* -OR- Lord of the Rings* searches will turn up most of my Elf-hunting, I primarily focus on the Sindar Elves, but look I can't resist my problematic Feanorian faves or that I will die on the hill that Fingolfin is the best ever. (You have NO IDEA how sad I am that so much fic on Stories of Arda or FFNET is not easily bookmarked on AO3, sob. I externally bookmarked a few of the bigger ones, but sooo many shorter faves are missing from my recs tag.)

CLAMP: - X/Tokyo Babylon legitimately bums me out because it's not a huge fandom and yet so much of what was written was pre-AO3 and lost when CLAMPesque went down or was never brought over from Livejournal, yet this fandom (well, the Seishirou/Subaru pairing) still burns brightly in my heart.

MINOR FANDOMS: Ones that probably only have under 100 bookmarks (often around the 20-30 bookmarks range), but will at least give you a place to start! ANIME/MANGA: Bleach | Cardcaptor Sakura | Dragonball | Finder no Hyouteki/Viewfinder | Katekyou Hitman Reborn! | Kuroko no Basuke | One Piece | Sailor Moon | Madoka Magica | Naruto | Princess Tutu | Trigun | Weiss Kreuz | Yuri!!! on Ice

BOOKS: Chrestomanci | Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint

DRAMAS: Nirvana in Fire | The Untamed -OR- Modao Zu Shi

TV SHOWS/MOVIES: Community | Game of Thrones -OR- ASOIAF | Good Omens | Hannibal | Highlander | The Old Guard | Our Flag Means Death | Stranger Things

VIDEO GAMES: Dragon Age: Inquisition | Final Fantasy 8 | Genshin Impact | Okami

BANDS: Arashi

All right, whew, that was actually a fun project, despite how much work it was to hunt down a lot of older faves to see if they were on AO3, hopefully you'll find this useful!

how do you find most of your smap things? i’ve been looking for kat-tun stuff and since they were under the same company around the same time i figured you’d be the person to ask ^^;

mostly the website bilibili ! the whole website is in chinese but i think its easy cause it function similarly to youtube. you will get a pop up 1 minute into the video to ask you to login but you can hit x and it will go away. i have seen kat-tun, king&prince and arashi videos on there too but not sure about how big the variety is cause i mostly go on the site for only smap. i also use livejournal just to find out about previous projects (those posts are fun to read because i love hearing other fan opinions)

LAST FEW DAYS OF MY SUMMER, EH?

9 days till school start.. and what have I been doing lately?

Well my grandpa's been in and out of the hospital this past week so I've been quite busy but aside from that.. I've actually managed to watch (full or partially) the following:

1. Shitsuren Chocolatier - well. Matsujun-type of story so. I guess it's ok. Not entirely pointless, but not entirely enticing either. It's the kind of show I'd watch if there was nothing better to do. (lol. peace. I love Arashi, really.)

2. Saigo no Keikan - well. It's the typical police drama, but less interesting. Of course Mukai is still as boyishly handsome as ever, but that's about it. And I can't believe I'm saying that considering I see myself as an action buff meself.

3. Shingeki no Kyojin - good anime. interesting. yeah. well, i guess if there's a word to describe it, the word would be INTRIGUING. very much so. :) So yeah. I caught up with the manga in just a few hours of reading. HEHE.

4. Inu X Boku SS - well. it's a "so-so" anime but apparently the manga is better so maybe i'll read that soon enough.

5. School 2013 - Typical. But, I dunno. There are a few actors I'm curious about in this show so maybe I'll check it out more.

6. Level 7 Civil Servant - the last time I watched an episode was a year ago. I stopped because I knew it was gonna get interesting at that point, and I was about to enter medschool. And soo.. but yeah I was right. It got interesting immediately where I stopped. So now, I'm really thinking of continuing it. But I've been lazy lately.. I just wana watch anime and read manga. The zeal to watcn kdrama.. or heck even jdorama.. is sadly absent within me at the moment. *sigh*

7. Game of Thrones S4 - well. My watching this one will probably continue. I like it. Simple as that. XD

And lastly, I dunno when I'll be posting next. Most of my online activities come to a hiatus once school start. Medschool does that to 'ya I suppose. But.. really.. I hope the coming semester will be good to me. *crosses fingers*

Sorry this isn't a question, it's for what an incoherent message but anyway I was on KinnPorsche twitter because that show has me feeling deranged and I got led to your tumblr and had a great time reading the hilarious how-kp-got-made post and was about to leave when I scrolled further down and realised YOU'RE AN ARASHI FAN?? I am a proud 15 years or so deep in my lifelong Arashi feels but my jyani stuff just so rarely collides with my other fandoms that I felt this insane and immediate need (at 2.46am my time) to virtually hold your hand and say omg omg omg!

YES!!!!!!!!! Holds ur hand back, Arashi for life. I have been a fan since ~2004-ish? via being a teen on Livejournal, and then in the last few years got back into them in a HUGE way, of course just in time for them to finally take a (deserved) break. I love them so much!!!!! Thank you for your message of solidarity!!!!! (And also I am glad you enjoyed the Kinnporsche, Kinnporsche is SO important. Obviously.)

I- I just got an e-mail from Livejournal, congratulating me on my 15-year anniversary on the site. I feel so old now 🙈😂😂

I haven't used my LJ account in I think close to a decade. I maybe logged in twice during that time to look sth up but that's about it.

My most active time was the first few years, when I was deep into the JE fandom, and Arashi in particular. LJ was THE place to be for that at the time.

This is taking me on such a trip down memory lane 🙈😂😂

Tbh with you I think it's unlikely for them to be subbed. I can't say for sure if ALL subbing communities on LJ are inactive since I don't check them but it will be hard to find subs for recent eps. Sorry I can't help 😞

fanfic confessions #1

Japanese boybands from Johnny’s Entertainment: Arashi, News, Kat-tun and Kanjani8 were the first fandom I read fanfiction from. I don’t know if I’m proud it happened, but it sure did. I was young and just trying to find nice Yamapi desktop wallpapers. Livejournal and j-pop fandom took my innocence. Now I’m 25 and remembering how I printed out stacks of fics so that I could read them at school during breaks, because no one used the internet on their phones because it was just that expensive. None of my friends ever questioned this behaviour, I never stopped to think twice. Can you imagine? God, it’s so much easier to read fanfiction in public these days.

Well, I just uploaded a new Ohmiya One Shot with rating NC-17 (it's only a little part that you can pass) Someday maybe I will do a long fic with a good story but I have the fear that I leave it without end it. I want to share this here because I'm glad that I managed to participate... I didn't sing (obv.) but contributed my memories related to Arashi. TBH, there are many precious memories with Arashi (personal and not-so-personal) but I guess one of the biggest things of knowing and liking Arashi is that I was able to meet with many fellow fans around the world, either here in tumblr, twitter, livejournal, line, and we even had meet-up while I traveled to Japan. So, hey, hello fellow fans!!!!! Would like to know more of you!!!!!
