Found You pt. 2
Pairing: Scar x Piltie gn!Reader/ Implied Eve x Reader
Warnings: Cursing, mentions of death and depression, grief
Hoping I did okay enough to keep going. Starting this before not long after posting the first. I broke it up to keep it from getting waaaay too long. I listen to Our Love by Jazmine Sullivan and Curtis Harding from the Arcane soundtrack and Pedastal by Phantogram a lot while writing this.
///Present///
You were able to sneak out of the bed without waking the baby, tip toeing around the sleeping kids and opened the window, you looked outside to see if you could see the green lights of the hover boards the others usually rode around on. It was pretty quiet, except for the sounds of the firelights flying around.
Stepping around the kids again, you quietly opened the door and slipped out, closing the door just as quietly. For a moment you waited with your ear pressed against the door to see if you indeed disturbed someone, but thankfully it was quiet.
At the mural, they were gathered. 3 more faces were being added and you felt the knots twist in your gut as you looked on. They had lost people this time.
Your eyes looked around the crowd and you spotted Scar's broad shoulders and slouched posture next to a quiet and sullen Ekko.
Losing someone always hurt.
\\\Flashback\\\
Jaz getting pregnant had taken you by surprise, but she seemed so happy.
She had become one of your closest friends here in the sanctuary. Her, Ekko, and in turn, Scar. He trained, a lot, letting any anger and frustrations out in that way instead of fighting with those who annoyed him. Unless they deserved it.
When you told your friend the news, she had almost run out of your clinic and you could barely keep up with her as you saw her run towards Scar and jump into his surprised arms and knocking them both back, making those around them laugh.
Chireans had their own way of communicating and you didn't understand until the bewildered look on his face told you she had just told him the news.
"Whoa, wonder that is about." One of the firelights that had been lifting with Scar laughed.
They didn't have to wonder much longer as they had both gotten up from the ground and held their clasped hands up, smiling at one another. "I'm having a baby!" Jaz all but shouted and Scar let out a loud howl, others exclaiming and cheering for them.
You stood back, watching them. It was so rare to see something so joyful or to have something to celebrate.
They celebrated hard that evening. You had never seen Scar smile so much or Jaz laugh so loudly before or after that night. Ekko even let loose a bit, which was so rare because he carried so much on his young shoulders, it seemed to weigh him down.
"Not one for partying?" You heard a voice behind you, and you saw Eve smiling at you with amusement.
"Oh, no, just tired. Was up most of the night and then Jaz was in my face this morning thinking she was dying." You scoffed but it turned into a small laugh.
Eve laughed with you. "Not exactly, huh?"
You laughed again, looking at the happy couple in the crowd. They seemed so young to be having children but then again, you didn't live long down here. Maybe they just wanted to have a family before...there wouldn't be a chance.
"Well, at least they look happy." Eve rested her elbow on your shoulder as she drank something from a bottle.
"Yeah." You looked back at them. "They do."
///
The baby was beautiful and perfect, everything you expected from Jaz.
During labor, you had to deal with Jaz and her growling and groans from the pain she was feeling, which was almost like her version of verbal assault.
You didn't blame her. This was a miserable process.
Scar had been kicked out as he hovered and made it impossible to move around, so it was just you and Jaz until it got closer, then a few of the older female Firelights came in for support.
This was the first baby born here and everyone was eagerly waiting outside. There were also bets on the gender, though mostly they just cared about it being healthy.
Jaz was strong and determined and all you had to do was catch the baby. Being the first to hold her, you could see what all the fuss had been about. Such a sweet, innocent face that represented so much hope for those around her.
"Tal." Jaz had huffed at you, sweat running down her face, smiling as tears began to flow. "My Tali."
You smiled at your friend before handing her her little girl, one of the others going to get Scar after you got Jaz settled in.
The moment he walked in, it looked like he walked into a wall and just stopped, looking at Jaz with the baby in her arms, eyes full of awe. You stepped back as he moved slowly towards the pair on the bed, Jaz smiling at him and taking his hand when he got close.
They had a family now.
///Months later///
The news had hit you so hard. Jaz had been killed on a mission. Some girl with blue braids had shot her out of the air and according to Eve, Scar tried to catch her, but he wasn't fast enough.
Now Scar was alone with a new baby and had just lost someone he loved. There was nothing to help with that kind of pain.
You sobbed as you kicked the chair, wincing as you stubbed your toe. It wasn't fair. Shimmer killed people, ruined lives, ruined everything and in an attempt to make it better, you had lost one of your closest friends here. Your nails dug into your palms as you stood there, sobbing. Why did this happen?
"Hey."
You turned to see Eve, her arms crossed, her pink hair tasseled from the wind. "Came to see if you are okay. Looks like you're not."
You shook your head, sinking into a chair. "I've never...I've never lost someone close to me before."
"Ah." You heard her walk towards the table and a chair scrape across the floor. She sat backwards in it and let her shoulders sag. You were all grieving. "I have. A lot." She said.
Your eyes burned from all the crying; your head pounded slightly. "Does it get any better? The pain? Does it go away?"
She slowly shook her head. "No. No, the pain stays with you. I guess how you live with it is how you learn to survive it."
"Fuck." You whisper. Wiping your tears, you sniffed and rested your elbows on the table. "Is Scar- ?"
"Ekko has Tal. Scar is..." She inhaled and let it out. "I don't know. But I can tell you that there is a lot of broken stuff in that house right now."
He shouldn't be alone. You couldn't imagine being alone with that kind of grief. You got up and Eve caught your wrist, shaking her head. "No, I don't think it is safe to be there right now."
"He's not an animal. He shouldn't be alone." And she had been a close friend of yours. Maybe you could console him or offer help with the baby to help him through this.
"I know, but grief can make you stupid." She said, standing up, hand still on your wrist. "This is really fresh. Give him a moment to get his bearings."
You didn't listen and as soon as Eve left, you were climbing the stairs to the small apartment like home that Scar lived in. It wasn't very big, but it was enough, especially just for the two of them now.
When you put your ear to the door, it was quiet and there were no lights on. You knocked gently, but you heard nothing, and you thought for a moment that maybe he had gone off to be alone somewhere. Turning the knob, you gently opened the door and looked inside of the dark room, your eyes taking a moment to adjust to the lack of light.
He was sitting in a chair, back to you. Nothing was broken, but there were cracks in the walls that implied he had been hitting them, repeatedly.
"Scar?" You cautiously entered the room and looked at his back. "It's me. I..." What could you say to make anything better? He was alone and now had to raise his daughter by himself. Well, he had the Firelights, but Tal wouldn't have her mother.
"Go away." His voice was usually deep and husky, but this sounded hoarse like he had been screaming.
You stepped back, rubbing your arm. You would have left, but you noticed blood on the floor. Alarmed, you walked closer and around to see the front of him, seeing his knuckles bloody.
"Oh, shit." Kneeling, you reached for his hands, but he jerked them back.
"Leave." This time, it was said in a sharper tone.
You looked up at him, seeing the tired eyes and his tear-stained face. Your face softened and you sat back on your heels. You had never seen him this way; well, anyone really. You patched the Firelights up and took care of the kids, but you had not had to comfort someone grieving yet.
'No." You said gently, giving him a sad smile. "You shouldn't be alone right now."
He growled and moved in his chair to face away from you. "Just...go." It was more of plea now, but by the look on his face, it was because he didn't want anyone to see him in such a state.
Slowly, you stood up and looked around. You saw some water and a rag by a sink, and made your way to it. You dipped the rag into the water before wringing it out.
"I kicked the chair earlier. I stubbed my toe pretty bad." You said as you kneeled down again by him and held out your hand. "Glad you didn't get to the bone."
He looked at your hand and then at you, his expression angry, but in his eyes there was only defeat. Sighing, he let you take his hand and clean up his knuckles as he stared at the corner of the room.
Both of you were quiet as you dabbed the blood away, removing pieces of the wall that had embedded in his skin. Every now and then you'd look up at him, just to see if he was even still breathing. He wasn't even flinching.
"I'm scared." He said, his voice cracking a bit. You looked at him, surprised he was even talking at this point.
Blinking, you took his other hand and tended to it. "Why?" You asked gently, wishing you had brought your bag. These needed to be disinfected, wrapped-
"Tal needs-" His throat caught, and he shook his head as he let it rest in his free hand. "I don't know what I'm doing."
That was the most you had ever heard him say and it was very heartbreaking. He was still a young, new father. Tal had just turned 4 months.
You took his large, clawed hand between both of yours and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"You're not alone." When he gave you a confused look, you squeezed his hand again. "You have Ekko, Eve, the rest of the Firelights. And me." Tears welled in your eyes, and you let his hand go. "She was my best friend. It is the least I can do for her. Make sure Tal has the best life possible here."
The quiet that followed made you think that maybe he didn't like what you had said, that it had made him angry. He had always been more stand offish around you and you knew it was because you were from Piltover.
Wiping your face, you stood up and dropped the rag on the table. "If you ever need to talk or need anything at all, you know where to find me." You put your hand on his shoulder in one last act of comfort before heading to the door.
"Thank you." You heard as you reached for the door knob.
You looked back and gave him a smile. "Any time."
///Present///
You made your way over to the wall, looking around at the faces to see who was missing, who you'd have to tell the children who they wouldn't see anymore.
Scar noticed you first and his brows knitted together as they did when he was troubled. He spoke a lot with expressions and body language. He wasn't excited to see you or for you to be over here.
Ekko noticed Scar looking at something and he turned his head, seeing you. "Oh, shit." He said under his breath as you got closer.
You were confused by that reaction until you looked up at the mural and saw the familiar face that was being added. Eve.
It hit you like a bullet and it felt like time stopped. Not her. It couldn't be her. Hadn't the two of you just talked? Didn't she give you a hug yesterday?
"Y/N, listen-" Ekko walked towards you slowly.
"How?" You turned on him, disbelief on your face. "How could you let this happen?" This couldn't be happening. Scar moved forward, telling you to stop by holding out his hand.
The look on Ekko's face told you you might as well just hit him. "Jinx." Was all he said. "She was there."
Your lip trembled and you shook your head. She was just at the clinic, just brought you flowers that were still on the counter by the sink.
Ekko removed something from his coat and held it out to you. It was her mask.
You took it with shaky hands, looking down at it. "I'm sorry." Was all he said and while it wasn't really his fault, your rage and grief made you irrational. They all knew each time they went it could be their last time. It's why they always said goodbye before leaving.
You shoved the mask into his chest. "Sorry doesn't bring her back." You snapped before turning and going back to the clinic.
You could hear your name being called and some saying something to Ekko. But you didn't look back.
You just wanted to be alone.

For the Batman!Au……Red Hood!Eve
Eve being Jason Todd makes a lot of sense considering both were killed by Jinx/Joker respectively, and Ekko/Batman wanted to kill their enemy at first, but they were stopped by someone else (Batman was stopped by Superman and Ekko was stopped by Scar)
But then, they later on refused to kill their arch enemy for personal reasons.
Thank you so much for the suggestion and idea anonymous!
Unfortunately, I don’t have a sketch of this concept because I’m a little busy at the moment. In the meantime, I’ll point out some more similarities between Eve and Jason Todd:
Both are associated with the color red
Both physically resembled another person prior to their deaths (Eve looked like Vi and Jason looked like Dick Grayson)
Both are vigilantes who wear a mask and a hood
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both have a memorial
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately we don’t know much about Eve considering how early on she died. Maybe in season 2 we’ll get to see more of her in a flashback.
Although it would be kind of funny if they somehow brought her back from the dead, and then she’d learn that Ekko had the chance to kill Jinx, but refused to.
And like Jason, she’d probably look like this:

Found You pt. 3
Pairing: Scar x Piltie gn!Reader/ Implied Eve x Reader Warning: mentions of death, depression, harm, and adult language.
Currently SFW at this point. This is self-indulgent, I am just doing this publicly lol. Likes and reblogs keep me alive in the cold. I was not happy about the last part I did, so I will try to do better. Didn't mean to get so sloppy.
///Present///
Up the tree more where thick branches that provided good spots to spy on those below. It was quieter, especially at this time. Still, you could hear some signs of life below: music coming from a window, some of the Firelights on their boards.
The hover board was not your friend, but you had been a master tree climber in your youth, so getting up there was barely a challenge. The solitude up in the tree ensured you wouldn't lash out at anyone else.
Eve was right, it never got easier. Running your hands through your hair, sniffling, you watched her face materialize onto the memorial, not far was Jaz.
All your closest friends, gone.
In Piltover, high society life or being part of it was never something you enjoyed. Of course, you enjoyed the finer things, but no one was really a person there. Friends were in short supply back home.
You could hear another hover board approach and then the sound of boots landing on the wide branch. Sighing, you looked up to see Scar looking down at you with a bit of an annoyed look. That was well deserved. Ekko was his very good friend and you had just rubbed salt in a festering wound.
"I know, I know." You leaned your head back on the tree. "I'll apologize, I just...I just need..." You knew he would understand.
He grunted and sat down, watching the community below gather by the mural. What a shitty day. You watched as he silently observed from his spot. Many thought of him as just the muscle of the Firelights, but he was also the eyes. Ekko's eyes.
"Did she suffer?" You asked quietly.
He looked at you for a moment before shaking his head. That gave you little relief. At least she hadn't been laying on a floor screaming in agony. "I'll miss her."
He nodded in agreement. "Good friend."
"Yeah, she was." You murmur as you looked down at your hands, picking at your cuticles, his eyes narrowing as he watched you pick the skin bloody.
You both sat in silence and a thought came to you that he was offering the same comfort that you had provided him when Jaz had died. "Thanks." It was a pitiful whisper but he heard it, turning his head to nod gently.
You just offered him a sad smile before you both went back to watching. After another moment or two of silence, you offered him an apology as well. "Tal was dead asleep. The other kids were in there, so I didn't-"
"It's fine." He stopped you and his ear twitched slightly as a firelight buzzed by his head. "Still asleep."
You sniffed, your eyes going back to your hands. "Her back teeth are coming in. Just so you know. Very, very cranky." Poor little thing. Also, your poor fingers.
He already looked a bit tired, but that made his face look even more so. He was so stressed. Taking care of a small child down here was so much harder than you imagined.
Things came up you had never thought of before, even with all your medical experience. After Jaz passed, feeding Tal was so hard and the crying was never ending. If Ekko hadn't busted a shipment that had some formula, Tal would not have made it. Wet nurses were not a thing down here.
When you looked back at him, you caught him staring at you, but there was a look on his face you hadn't seen before. You tilted your head quizzically, silently asking him what was wrong.
"Drinks?" That wasn't an answer, but it surprised you. Ekko and Scar always toasted those who had fallen for the cause. Usually, it was them and the others they had gone on the raid with, but only they had come back this time.
"I don't think he'll want me there." You looked back at your hands. Your thumb was bleeding.
"Good time to say sorry."
Damn, he was right, like always. "Fine. But I am not flying." You said firmly, looking at the hover board on his back with mistrust.
Scoffing, he stood up, offering you a hand. Yeah, it was time to go. Taking his hand, you pulled yourself up, but he didn't let your hand go. It had caught you off guard, how firmly yet gentle he was holding your hand. When you looked up at him to ask him what he was doing, he looked back at your hand. Oh, you picked on your fingers too hard.
"I'll clean them up." You pulled your hand from his and put it behind your back, embarrassed. There was just something different in the way he had held you hand. "See you for drinks."

The Ultimate OTP Trio Dynamic Poll!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Explanation under the cut for a deeper explanation:
Tired Investigator X Parasite:
One of them works in a field that involves investigating crimes, they have a failing relationship, are messy looking, and a hidden dark side they try to repress in order to be normal (that is, until Parasite enters the picture).
The other is a dangerous villain often referred to as some sort of parasite due to how their influence drains the tired investigator of any good outside of them.
This is the Hannigram/Symbrock/Villanelle blunt rotation.
Emo Furry X McDonald's Forehead:
Once upon a time, I decided to make a series of posts comparing the cinematic paralles between Catra/Adora's relationship and Batman/Jokers relationship. I started the McDonald's Forehead X Emo Furry as a way to sort any more posts I made on their relationships due to Joker/Adora having large foreheads that formed an arch similar to the Mcdonald's logo; and with Batman/Catra, well you know...
But then, I began to notice similarities between Batman/Ekko and Joker/Jinx respectively. I started to connect the dots, and thus decided to add Ekko and Jinx to the McDonald's Forehead X Emo Furry dynamic due to Ekko having a gritty aesthetic with animal symbolism, and Jinx's arched hairline.
But I should probably give a similar explanation for these relationships like I did for the other dynamic.
Ok, one is a fighter with a tragic upbringing that forced them to learn how to professionally fight, and how to protect others from harm. They're a leader in their respective groups, and they rebel from their respective systems due to said systems being run by corrupt people.
The other is a chaotic gremlin with campy flair, obvious mental issues, an unhealthy lack of fear for death, crummy backgrounds, a desire to be loved while causing havoc, and intelligent planners despite how their appearance would contrast this fact.
These two come together and form a Yin Yang bond in the battlefield; along with the themes of how people respond to similar traumas completely differently. Featuring light and dark symbolism!
